Morgan Kalugina, Russian born, but a naturalized US citizen. According to available records, her lineage could be traced back to the Soviet snipers of WWII, and it looked like her family kept the tradition strong. Quite a number of her relatives have ended up as professional hunters, competition shooters, or snipers for police and military units. Her own marksmanship scores seemed to be rather impressive."Well, she certainly looks qualified." You note. "Any reason why she'd want to join an idol company, of all things?""I suppose that would be something you'd have to ask her yourself." Jenner shrugs."Okay, show her in." You nod."This is Jenner. You can come in now." Jenner says though the intercom. The door slowly swings open and you see a girl, or what you assume is a girl, slowly and shyly walk in. She had her hair cut very short, which gave her a very androgynous appearance."Morgan Kalugina." You say as a statement, not a question. "Do you know where you are?""D-da, -I mean- Yes I do, sir." She says, standing stiff as a board. Her demeanor and deference to your authority actually reminded you lot of Rochelle. You also notice the slight Russian accent that she tried to, but couldn't quite fully, hide. "I'm here to apply for a position in Clover Entertainment.""I see." You say, thumbing through her file again. "You come from a very prestigious family, Morgan. Why do you want to join a small idol company like ours?""Ah.... that is a bit of a personal question..." "This one here has been with us the longest. I was very honored when Father gifted it to me.""Well, let's see how the both of you can shoot, then." You point to the target down the range. Morgan nods and sets her rifle down on the firing table. after checking to see if there were any faults with the mechanisms, she loads a fresh clip of bullets and pushes in the bolt with a loud CLICK. She takes a few seconds to settle her aim before pulling the trigger. There's a loud and hearty BANG as the Mosin fires. It felt different from the guns you used to fire, as if something had been lost in the centuries that firearms had been further refined. Morgan works the bolt in one smooth, trained motion and fires again and repeats the process until she's finally exhausted all of her ammunition. You then retrieve the paper target and whistle. She then switches it to semi-automatic fire mode and pops off a few test shots to get her bearings in. Again, she fires several rounds before emptying the magazine. >>31746990This.If we can order the extra parts for the rifle like a suppressor that be nice as well.Maybe not needed right now, but down the line.

>>31747016More of a support type of weapon to weaken armored opponents, robots, people who are hiding.
The "designated marksman" is a rather newly created term in the USMC and they aren't snipers. Differences among them: 1. Snipers work with another person ("shooter" and "spotter") while the designated marksman (hereinafter referred to as: DM) is a member of a bigger unit (usually a fireteam or squad). 2. Snipers use a purpose built weapon with match ammunition while DMs use an optically enhanced, general purpose weapon. 3. Snipers can engage targets from medium to high (+1000 m) distances while the DMs are able to provide precision and effective fire at short and medium distances.
>>31747056I have question about those specialty rounds:Do they have to be purchased separately and specially from Hyperion, since this weapon is a prototype not normally found on the market?
>>31747016She can tag vehicles with marker rounds, take out cameras and other electronics from a distance subtly with an EMP round, melt locks on doors, gates or iron bars with acid rounds and take down heavily armored opponents with HE rounds IN ADDITION to being able to fire normal boolets.
>>31746851>>31746990I'll throw myself in on this one.Shopping is always fun~
>>31746851"Teleconference" - 5000Would had preferred we get the railgun, but okay.
>>31746961Merc, how does the teleconference fire if its not using specialised ammo?Semi-auto?And what round would it normally use?
>>31747050And we have all discussed we are turning her into a Designated Marksmen and work with the squad. Which is my the majority of votes are for the M70 Battle rifle and not a actual sniper rifle.Also>>31747075This what we plan on using her for.
>>31746851Teleconference + the M70
Okay, so there seems to be a clear divide between the Teleconference and the M70, so I'll put it up to another vote.>Teleconference>M70>whynotboth.jpg
>>31747136If you are trying to turn her into a designated marksman, then the M70 seems like a waste in comparison to dropping another grand on the VKS which is semi-auto and has a shorter but likely still greater range than what the M70 possibly offers.
>>31747177>>whynotboth.jpgDifferent guns for different missions.
>>31747177>Both is good.gifJust so we can fucking move on and everyone is happy.
>>31747177>Both>M70, standard weapon for her>Teleconference, for when we need it
>>31747195see>>31747061>Same ammo as other rifles that our mercenaries useThat's a big selling point.
I just want to note that if we are buying the teleconference, we are spending a lot of money on her. But then, it might be a good investment. That's all.
>>31747177>Teleconferencespending 6 grand is a bit much so just this one.
>>31747177>whynotboth.jpgJust go with both good lord.>>31747243>spending a lot of money>lets just buy the gun that cost 5000yeah whatever.
>>31747234we did hire a sniper with fantastic aim.
>>31747177>whynotboth.jpgOne for unknown situations, one for known.
>>31747234Well, when you hire a specialist, you also need to pay up for specialist tools.
>>31747307But we've never spent this much on a single idol before.
>>31747177final destination voting this smells of same fagging
>>31747279I would like to see the rest of the catalog to see if we anything new came in.>>31747177Merc, on that note, can we view the whole catalog so we can think about what to purchase in the future?
>>31747229But is ammo kept track of in the expenses or even considered as a in-quest thing you buy aside from specialized? It seems silly to consider that as an advantage when it's not really a thing at all kept tracked of in the quest.
>>31747279>yeah whatever.like i said paying 5 grand was pushing it, but making it 6 is a bit much for me.
>>31747358None of our other idols are specialist either. Plus I imagine if you add up all the stuff we've bought for them, over time, it would come close to it. We just never spend this much at one time on them.
>>31747195The VKS.If shit hits the fan really bad, that burst and the ability of sharing ammunition with the other Mercenaries is a god send. And if I am correct in assuming this, then the M70 is of the similar family of the M55, which most of are girls are using meaning if something bad happens they can pick up the M70 themselves and know how to use it or be familiar with the weapons system/platform, compared to the "specialized sniper".>>31747385No for on the field ammo sharing when shit fuckin' hits the fan.
Also with the teleconference we can just have Z-wolf with the proper package/load/mods to do those things that the Teleconference can do.Again, I say we just go for the M70.
>>31747479Again, I'm just confused as to why ammo-sharing is being considered by the players when I've never seen it as a detail being kept tracked of in Merc's quests. It's generally a detail that's glossed over and really shouldn't be having an effect on your decision. The burst thing I'll give you though, that's definitely a bonus from how I recall Jager's SMG worked in ValkMercQuest.
This whole vote reeks of samefagging, can we do final destination please?

>>31747671Honestly, I don't care enough so I'm abstaining from voting.
>>31747610I just don't like the idea of someone having different ammo than the rest of the squad. What if they lose their ammo pack or something, and now that person is shit outta luck.
>>31747707Same. This is going to cost us too much money.
>>31747757We're going to do jobs now and we have a 20% discount on our tazes

>>31747842The heists ought to be worth it since we'll probably be skirting the bounds of legality.
>>31747842I rather avoid doing heists unless we have to.let's not make enemies
>>31747842As long as our idols get to wear goofy masks on the jobs, I'll be fine with whatever we get
>>31747876Or hitting the wrong (or right) targets severely pisses them off.Although I like the idea of fucking with the terrorists' money if we get the chance
>>31747926Or fuck with our competitor's money. The ones we don't like, of course.

I say we just hit local trouble, rob and raid the bank robbers, drug smugglers, arms dealers, and gambling dens.Make it look like competition, for the criminal jobs, and make it look like criminals to the competition jobs.
>>31747842We just need to find a big enough score so every involved gets a big, fat, juicy cut. Knock over a bank and we could do that--and I mean a big bank, the ones that are in Downtown Delta City that have day traders and business execs moving through their doors day in and day out.Of course, we can't go after the big guys immediately. We should start out small--say, a jewelry store? An armored car? We have enough equipment on our hands that we could pull off a Blitz Play.

"Your purchases will be shipped right away!" "Thanks." You say as you hang up. "So Morgan, which weapon will you use as your primary?""I can carry both." Morgan shrugs."What?" You blink.?"I am Russian, Producer. Carrying two weapons is considered a normal practice for us." Morgan tilts her head. "Unless you're implying I can't handle something so trivial?""Um, not at all." You sigh. "It's just a bit, unusual.">Morgan will start missions with the M70 as default, with the Teleconference carried in her pack in a disassembled state. "Oh my god, she looks so cool!" Rochelle gushes."She certainly does seem to have a royal quality about her.""She looks like a dude." Cole frowns."As if you're any better!" Julie grins, elbowing her fellow idol lightly."WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN!?""Ah, um, it's nice to meet you all, Comrades!" Morgan bows politely ."I hope to work well together with all of you!"It's then that you notice Melissa pause, and she gets that thousand yard stare you've seen too many times in your experience.>Don't make a scene. >>31748298The Ocean's films were a bit ridiculous, but amusing as far as heist films go. The Usual Suspects and The Town, though, were just splendid. Heat was immediately the first one to spring to mind, though, because it featured three heists--the opening one that served as the blueprint for GTA V's Blitz Play heist, the second one that was aborted, and the quintessential "Big One" final heist that is loved on /k/ for or so many reasons.

You could never understand the tastes of teenage girls that well."Melissa, are you all right?" You ask."Y-yeah. I just sorta froze up there." She takes a few deep breaths. "Sorry about that, Producer.""What caused it?" You ask, though you already suspect you know the answer."I guess it was the accent. It just... stuck in my mind." Melissa sighs."Is this going to be problem, Melissa?" You ask sternly. "If you can't work together with Morgan...""It won't be a problem, Producer. I promise." Melissa says. "I was just caught of guard, that's all. If I can't get over something like this how am I supposed to get revenge?""As long as you know what's at stake." You sigh. You and Melissa rejoin the rest the group, who all seem to be taking pictures with Morgan. "All right, girls." You clap to grab their attention. "Practice should be coming up soon. Rochelle, Rin, I expect the both of you introduce Morgan to the basics and show her the daily routine.""Yes sir!" Rochelle salutes."No problem, Producer." He was your squad's driver, who ended up specializing in being able to drive or pilot anything that moved, be it simple cars, tanks, or even VTOLs or fighter planes. There simply wasn't anything he couldn't operate. You suspect it had something to do the heavy aug work done to his head, which led to the necessity of having it permanently shrouded behind a helmet. According to him, of course."Yeah well, if you need a job, Stig, you got it." You shake his hand. "And it isn't Cap anymore. I'm a Producer now.""Sure thing, Producer." Stig nods. >>317503335 combat idols
>>31750356Seconding this. Fuck the park performance.
>>31750381It pays the best, though.

>>31750381Rin and Niko can't fight either, it's a waste to have them be booth babes when they are perfectly capable performers

This might be a good warmup mission.
>>31750405Look at the pay, its the highest paying,
>>31750277>>31750414Sounds good to me
>>31750414Switch Rin and Cole. We should have one guard for performance idols during jobs.
>>31750445Sure, sounds like a plan.
>>31750433Park Plane is 3k, Airplane Antics is 2k. We would want Park Plane over Airplane Antics is cash money is our primary consideration
>>31750414>>31750422You know sending our centers out without any bodyguards, outside of Jen, is going to bite us in the ass hard one of these times...
>>31750445Or go with >>31750422Jenners is perfectly capable of doing bodyguard service and she still has her car.
>>31750445Cole won't do well with kids and tourist though.
>>31750445Shouldn't we switch Cole and Niko? Rin's a more capable performer than Niko at this point.
>>31750475Thing is... She really shouldn't have to be doubling up on bodyguard detail when we have combat idols to be doing it.
>>31750422Too spread out. We don't need AIRPLANE ANTICS. Focus on PARK PERFORMANCE and MONOPOLY.
>>31750475The other reason why Niko and Cole should be paired together is that the two have similar demographics and Niko gets an Attention Seeker bonus when she's the star.>>31750494>>31750498Rin might be the better choice for Park Preformance. All I'm saying is that Niko and Cole should be paired up. Let them be boothbabes, then.
>>31750422this onecoles better used on the combat mission
>>31750277Okay, so the consensus seems to be Park Performance, Airplane Antics, and Monopoly. Is that correct?
>>31750516I want to drop Airplane Antics, but I'm guessing I'm being outvoted here.
>>31750516Sounds good to me
>>31750516Park PerformanceMonopolyWould be the only ones I would support.
>>31750503She helps ferry the idols around already. And Producers or Staff can defend their idols if shit happens in front of them.>>31750516Yup.
>>31750514>All I'm saying is that Niko and Cole should be paired up. Let them be boothbabes, then. You know. With the shit that boothbabes get subjected to sometimes, thats basically asking for a PR disaster when Cole zaps someone whos abit grabby.
>>31750568You could say the same thing about Niko.
>>31750568happens when we get tomb girls.
>>31750507I agree. We might have caught our rivals unaware by hitting all the missions last time so we should try a more consolidarted approach.MONOPOLYTYPE: Sponsor MissionSUMMARY: Marc has gotten word of a rival gun shop planning to open up in the mall. He wants you to make sure that never happens. DANGER LEVEL: Moderate RECOMMENDED IDOLS: 2+ESTIMATED PAY: $2000 K-ZWolf, Cole, Melissa, RochellePARK PERFORMANCETYPE: PerformanceSUMMARY: The amusement park needs a few attractive girls to fill in for some of their performances.DANGER LEVEL: LowRECOMMENDED IDOLS: 2+ESTIMATED PAY: $3000Nico and Rin, Morgan ,Julie
>>31750580Shes at least not going to electrocute someone. More likely she'll curse or kick the fella into oblivion.
>>31750516yeah why not.
>>31750568>>31750580Zapping people who gets grabby would add to Cole and Niko's appeal. They are not selling squeaky clean like Rin, they are supposed to be badass. Molesters aren't exactly the most sympathetic victims eitherThis would be a good thing in the long run
>>31750580Thats kind of why I want Niko on the Park performance.Rochelle and Morgan would probably be good at weaving out of any bad PR moves.
>>31750609Same level of PR damage.>>31750625This. They're supposed to be "bad girls." Tough. Rough and tumble. And as for Cole in the park, you never know how she might use her powers to impress the kids. Little stuff, just some static. Might get us on the path to using her for light shows.
>>31750631Rochelle and Morgan might be a terrible fit for this job.Morgan is new to the job, and getting manhandled on her first job isn't going to leave a good impression. Besides, the proper way to handle molesters is to beat their ass and get applauded for it. Cole and Niko can pull that badass routine off. So can Cole and Julie. Rochelle and Morgan? I have my doubts
>>31750689Rochelle is our squad leader. We need her on the Monopoly mission. And Morgan should probably be there as well for DM work.
>>31750516>Looks like we're pulling triple duty yet again! With your next set of jobs all picked out, you sigh and lean back in your seat. You glance out the window and see that the sun is already going down. Goddamn, has that much time passed already?Yawning, you decide to clock out for the day. You'll worry about training tomorrow.>And that's it for tonight! Next thread will be next week. Don't forget to catch Magical Girl Hunter on Sunday and Gundam Build Fighters on Friday!
>>31750720Thanks for running, great thread as usual
>>31750720Goodnight! Curious as to what Alice will wake up to on Sunday.
>>31750715we only have one squad leader right now.we're going to run into mission runs where we need to do multiple combat missions.training up a second squad leader would be a good idea.
>>31750733carol gnawing on her arm.
>>31750734After the prison incident, I think it's important to impress on Rochelle that we meant what we said to her.Trust her to lead the squad. I'd consider Julie for second in command, but I don't think she's there yet leadership wise. Maybe we'll do some training involving both Rochelle and Julie along those lines.
>>31750766alright, fair enough.i was thinking this was a good low risk mission for our new potential squad lead (i was thinking melissa actually. shes far back enough to have a good idea of the battle and then she can apply her machine gun at where its needed the most) to get broken in.
