You,re in the central plains of Tianna Island, trying to persuade their god, Yaraon, to let the volcano goddess Dancing Smoke pour her lava all over him....that came out wrong. But the plan is, or rather was, to flow lava through the plains and into the swampland that is Fair Folk land. According to the plan, this should have been followed by a pincer attacks by the barbarian tribes of the north side of the island, and their two Lunar leaders, from the land, and by your pirate crews and water spirit allies from the sea.Seems like no plan really survives first contact with the enemy. You had just managed to convince Yaraon to, uh, do the thing with Dancin Smoke, when bits of the swamp's thick fog have begun to detach and gallop inland, dragged around by invisible troops for cover: several small parties are entering the plains all over the area like this.Your biggest worry, however, is another: namely, the giant snakelike being made entirely by what seems to be water and gold, some sort of titanic faerie war monster heading straight for you. Back, posting in a sec.
Infusing Essence in your limbs and instincts, you dash towards the slithering monstrosity, trailing golden light as you move. The enormous behemoth has fully crawled out of the foggy wyldland: a snake made from colored water, reflecting the blue of the sky. A vast golden crown acts as its "head", joined with chains to large golden rings holding its body together, or perhaps binding it, or maybe acting as some sort of armor. You have trouble estimating the mercurial beast's actual height or length, since it seems to shift as it moves around. A black shadow is barely visible floating inside the watery part of its "head". Maybe a heart, or brain, or some sort of "core"? Or a pilot?[Solar Hero Style. Essence: 4/5]The large creature doesn't seem to have noticed you at first, but, despite its lack of eyes (or anything, really), you have the distinct impression that it has detected you once you move close enough to feel the little drops and sprays of water falling from its body.Regis, it seems, has hidden in the tall grass. You don't see him anymore, but you feel he's safe, covered by Yaraon's domain......yeah, speaking of Yaraon and Dancing Smoke, you forgot to tell them anything. No time to think about that now, you'll have to hope they figure out things themselves. You have a giant monster to punch!"...but how?" You mumble, looking up to its massive size.>Punch the watery surface.>Punch the golden rings.>Try and break the chains.>Dive into the "water" and swim around trying to find a weak point.>Try and climb and jump up from ring to chain to ring and reach the crown.>Other?
>>30889897>Dive into the "water" and swim around trying to find a weak point.
Rolled 4>>30889897Try to bust up the rings, chains, or crown. We don't want to jump in the body yet - there's no knowing if we can escape its currents.

Physical + Dawn = 4 7 9 10 10 9 5 2 10 3 = 9 successes"Alright." You look up at the giant behemoth's head. The giant behemoth looks down at you.You lift an arm, pointing a finger at it. "You're on."Its shape shifts and moves around the head forming a sphere of water in what would be its forehead, along a large hole central to its crown, as if all of its watery mass was being concentrated there.Seconds later, an insanely powerful beam of compressed water explodes from it. It swings across the landscape, slashing a narrow but deep chasm wherever it passes, like a supremely sharp knife cutting through the world, and slams into you.[Health: 4/5]The sheer pressure is enough to make you feel like you're about to be torn to pieces, each droplet of water impacting you faster and sharper than an arrow, and with more weight behind it than a mountain being dropped from the sky. Your clothes are shred to ribbons instantly, leaving nothing behind. With a scream of effort, you force yourself to take a step against that supremely powerful current. The single most difficult step in your life. The jet then dies out, its power exhausted, a second later, becoming a spray, then a mere sputter of water, then vanishing. It tore up the ground all around you, but you endured."I LIKED THAT TABARD!" You scream at the beast, which seems a bit puzzled by your continued existence. In response, you step up to it, plant your feet, ball up your fists, and land a straight, right jab on the golden surface.[equipment damage boost used](cont)

>>30890161>Your clothes are shred to ribbons instantly, leaving nothing behind....So once we get the armoured thigh-high boots we're going to be this lewd naked gloves-and-boots double act with Tia, aren't we?
The noise produced by your iron fists smacking against the ring is not metallic at all: it's more like smashing rocks: a loud, growling rumble that ends up with a web of cracks exploding across the glowing, polished surface of the monster's body part. Then it explodes in a mass of shards flying in every direction, without any pull by gravity. The beast loses its footing, as part of its mass spreads out, no longer being channeled and held together, and its head falls much lower than it was before, held high and proud. It struggles for a moment, then the head just slams on the grass-covered ground, making it shake as if in an earthquake. The closest clouds of mist actually halt their march out of the wyld. You imagine they must be surprised."...You're kidding me." You hear Yaraon's voice mumbling. You briefly see him, for a moment, emerging from the tall grass, before something pulls him back down.Ignoring his screams of "I'm not mentally prepared! Give a moment-whargharbl", you turn to face the massive monster, which is trying to stand back up struggling against its own now-flaccid body, just as the misty clouds around you converge on you.Bit by bit, the mist vanishes, revealing the true nature of the raiders: lizard-like-people, riding on lizard-like horses. The hobgoblins are armed with what look like primitive but brutal and effective weapons, and seem equal part astonished and enraged.>Break another ring>Face the lizardmen>Break the crown>Dive in the water>Other?

Physical + Dawn = 4 8 5 10 5 1 8 7 2 = 5 successesUnder the enraged and horrified gaze of the lizard-people hobgoblins, you calmly walk up to the monster's crown, reasting heavily on the ground, its curved spikes half-embedded in it. The snake is trying to lift its head back up, but just as it begins to rise, you grab a corner of it and stop it."...Who said you could get back up?" You ask the behemoth. As a reply, the faceless beast seems to turn to look back at you, despite its distinctive lack of eyes. Apparently not realizing the gravity of its situation, you see it begins to form another ball of water on its forehead, preparing another beam."I don't think so." You grin, grabbing the edge of the massive, castle-sized metal crown two-handed, so forcefully that your fingers sink into the bent metal like it were putty. With Essence and adrenaline screaming through your blood, your heart beating like crazy, a surge of energy runs through every muscle of your body.[Ten Ox Meditation. Essence: 3/5]You slam your left knee into the monster's crown, and it explodes. The shards and fragments of gold fly in all directions, flying through the air without curving or falling downwards. The closest lizardmen are shredded by the blast of metal shrapnel, the others scream and fall back from you, wounded and startled. Then, the water that was contained within it follows, like a ridiculously over-pressurized water balloon finally popping.Left alone with the ruins of the behemoth, you glance up to the hills, your naked body, glistening with water, clothed in a bright glow of golden light.(cont.)

Rolled 7>>30890725Why do you think it was under fae control? The fae were running away from it.
>>30890731The fae reached our location after we engaged the behemoth...how the hell were they running away from it? I'm pretty sure they were driving it forward and planing to use it as a massive siege engine to soften up Tianna or a Lunar before jacking their territory.
>>30890750And then we punched it to death singlehandedly.
Rolled 1>>30890750Actually read, mate. They turned around once we engaged it. They came up to us from behind while we engaged it.
Arrows flying through the air, ambushes from the cover of the tall grass, and distant flashes of silver light tell you that the raid is being contained. The Fae's pre-emptive counterattack has failed. Further east, the volcano is rumbling and spewing fire and lapilli, then, under your eyes, a prodigious spray of liquid lava pours from its western side, running down the mountain."...beautiful..." You hear a voice mumbling from about around your feet, under a massive piece of shattered gold. You kick the block aside, revealing what must have been the shadow riding within the behemoth. And you find a humanoid fae, definitely a noble judging from its astonishing beauty. He has fair skin and golden-blonde hair, held by an elegant, colorful hat, well-coordinated with clothes fitting a rich, high-society dandy. For some reason, he's not just unwounded, but even perfectly dry. You notice that the water pooling all around actively avoids him."...That was beautiful." He's staring at you. "Beautiful." He keeps repeating, in a daze.>Punch him>Grapple him>Order him to retreat into the Wyld>Order him to surrender>Leave him under the rubble>Ask him who he is>Other?

Rolled 4>>30890815We literally own him if he surrenders his Heart Grace. He ceases to have any free will aside from what we tell him to do.Mind you, he doesn't have free will right now either. His Heart Grace is just an emulator for actual Willpower.
>>30890827Is there any downsides to that?
Rolled 7>>30890791Beautiful things get the hearts of other fae.
Rolled 4>>30890834It will scare the shit out of a lot of people (understandably) and he still needs to eat dreams/emotions every now and then to keep from literally dissolving. Fae are - basically - vampires, in that they need a steady diet of something taken from living humans in order to survive.
Rolled 10>>30890791>Order him to surrender
>>30890825>Either as hostage or as perhpas a way to solve the issues between fae and others on the island. They're fae. You can't "solve" things with them because they don't have free will to begin with.
>>30890841Yeah, we probably don't want to keep him around, but surrender is a good start to ask for? Maybe?
Rolled 5>>30890791Order him to surrender
Rolled 10>>30890849Could definitely work. If he surrendered his Heart Grace, we could turn him into our sock puppet to order his forces to surrender. Of course, there might be more nobles with their own forces involved in all this.Still, capturing fae graces to use against other Fair Folk is literally one of the primary tactics of the warden faction of Lunars. Talon might even approve.
Rolled 6>>30890849>>30890847Wel if we get his heart we can command him as we want to, information, him ordering lower fae around, whatever we can get away with.So lets make him surrender his heart or die.
>>30890841At least according to Keychain, Fae can subsist on ambient emotion. Is this a thing in canon?
Rolled 2Well, one of the things we that shouldn't ally with are the Fae.Lets>Order him to surrenderfor now>>30890791
Rolled 7>>30890791>Order him to surrenderTia isn't here so she needs to find her own Fae noble to make a cup out of! This one we're turning into our personal maid since we already have a butler and because the new guy would look stunning in a little maid outfit.
>>30890791>Order him to surrenderRight let's go with this then, we can decide whether or not to keep him later, but if we don't we can still totally make him give us all his stuff
Rolled 3>>30890872Yes, at least noble ones, I think. The charm's called feast of crumbs or something
Rolled 2>>30890872Technically, but they're rubbish at it, and lose access to basically 100% of their powers if they limit themselves that much. This is an oversimplified explanation, but think of it this way. Fae need to spend 1 Essence per day not to simply evaporate. But they only way they get more is by soaking up emotions. In a heavily-populated area, they can reliably soak up about 1 Essence of emotions per day. Anything more than they and they need to actually take a bite out of someone's soul.
>>30890898Then fuck this guy. Let him die.
>>30890898How long does it take the soul to regrow?
Rolled 3>>30890912Hey, he could be useful for the duration of this battle, at least. But yeah, after that, we should probably just kill him.>>30890920I would, personally, not like to have people donate chunks of their soul to the 'feed the leashed eldritch horror' like a goddamn blood run.
Rolled 3>>30890912he hes already spent essence to exist today.Lets make him surrender his heart so we can milk him for any and all relevant information and can have a monkey act to impress Talon some more.
Rolled 8>>30890791>Order him to surrenderEven if he can't stay here, if we have his hearth we can order him to go back to the wyld and periodically visit us and bring us stuff
>>30890928I'm asking in preparation for the invasion numnuts. We need to know if any of our troops get soul bitten what the recovery time's going to be like and whether we'll need to devote resources to therapy and rehabilitation.
Rolled 2>>30890955Oh. Normally it takes extended feeding to actually reduce someone to a husk, and they can heal up eventually as long as they aren't reduced to one. For context, though, the largest purchaser of Guild slaves is the Fair Folk. They buy them en masse and pay for them with soulless husks (who make great brute manual labor) and Shaped riches.
Rolled 1>>30890955I don't think you can recover naturally from having your Virtues or Willpower ravished, except through rebuying them with xp
>>30890978>>30890998Thank you. I appreciate the information.
Rolled 3Just remember, the fae are literally shapeshifting eldritch horrors from outside of space and time who eat people's souls. You can control one using its Graces, but that doesn't change any of those qualities inherent to it, it just prevents it from acting under its own initiative. So, I'm strongly in favor of turning this one against its fellows.
You toss the block of rubble sideways, and stomp your foot on prettyboy's chest. "Surrender your Heart to me, Fae." You command. If would be a lie to say he isn't tickling your fancy, but you rationalize it as mindtricks and glamour. It's not like he's a real person, even though he really does look like one."...I... I can't..." He doesn't seem to feel or react to the pain, and he's keeping a thousand-yard-stare on you."Why not?" You grind into his... ribs? Does he even have them? He feels incredibly soft to the touch."Y...you already conquered it." He smiles, revealing really creepy, overly long canines in an otherwise perfect human set of teeth."Consider yourself my prisoner then." You grab him by the collar and lift him up, slinging him over your shoulder like a sack of bricks."...yes..." he replies, with the tone of voice of a complete pervert getting his dirtiest wish satisfied. His voice, as sweet and beautiful and crystal-clear and melodious as it is, manages to creep you out.As you're beginning to consider what your next move should be, you notice the lava flow being neatly channeled through the grassland, heading straight in your direction. It will be some minutes, maybe a hour until it reaches you, and another few minutes until the border of the Wyld. While you're considering your next move, you hear a shrill cry pierce your ears, and a large vulture swoops down on you. You recognize it, of course. It lands on your free shoulder, looks around, pecks the fae in his exposed abdomen (getting a brief scream of pain and surprise in response), then turns back into human Tia.Who makes herself more comfortable by actually sitting down on your shoulder. "Hey." Then nods sideways at the fae. "Got a new toy?"(cont.)

Rolled 1>>30891242>Also, are we sure this is gold and not orichalcum? The Primordials were fairly ostentatious...If we could sunder it, it's not Orichalcum. And yes, pirates can damn well sell some gold back in port.

>>30891228Oh shit. We need the carefully throw some of the larger chunks out of the lava's path so we can make payroll!
>>30891254>So can we try out that "feed Fay off of Maka's sexual energy" thing before we decide to off him or not?We could, but that would render her permanently less sensual, which why the fuck would we ever do that?

Regis runs out from the grass and up to you and Tia now, noticing that the danger, at least for now, is over. "It was incredible!" He exclaims. "There was this huge snake made of water and it had a gold crown, and Maka just punched it out and the crown exploded and then the whole snake exploded!""I'm sure Maka was awesome." Tia smiles, patting his head. "She is always awesome, after all.""Maka..." The fae mumbles. "What a beautiful name."Tia, maybe still a bit confused about not being a bird anymore, gives him a second bite in his exposed belly. He gives a second scream. "Shut up. Even if you're right, shut up.""What. what do we do now?" >>30891426Yeah, this "you already have my heart" stuff is a blatant attempt to weasel his way out of actually forking over his loyalty. That is not going to fly.He is our slave, we are going to use him up and then he gets to live on ambient emotion if he's lucky. If not, we have him killed.Fuck Fae.
>>30891415Well yes, but the tabard got shredded by water laser. Also some of our allies might get distracted by our lack of attire, so yeah, as much as naked-boots-and-gloves is a great look, we could probably stand to put on a jacket.
>>30891453I kind of want to see to it that we get that swanky number Maka's wearing in her charsheet. It's classy.

Rolled 3>>30891289>Talk with the fae (about?)The other faeTake his clothesAnd DON'T LET HIM OFF WITHOUT HIS ACTUAL HEARTHHow are so many people forgetting this, it's the most important part
"First of all." You grab the fae back off your shoulder. He's hanging limply, with no energy or volition it seems. You shake him a bit."...First of all, give me your boots and jacket. Your thing destroyed my clothing, after all. It's only fair."He calmly obeys, taking off his plated boots and then his jacket - while hanging from the collar held by you - and hands both to Regis, who helps you don your new outfit. The boots are about your size, and are incredibly comfortable. The jacket is, too, but it's too narrow for you to manage to close across your chest: you have to keep it open."...Maka, you're dangerous." Tia says, after having jumped down from your shoulder to let you wear the fae's clothes. "Way too dangerous." "Let's show his friends as well, then." You shake the fae some more. "You. Talk.""My name is Garnet Skysea, a servant of Tarien Dorian, the Prince of the Black Marsh... until now." He smiles, still looking a bit stoned."Oh, he's the guy whose skull I want to drink out of." Tia remembers her oath. If you can call it that. You have to admit that this Fae is obedient. "...How many other servants he has?""A castle. An army of soldiers. Other three nobles.""This is the part where he tells us he was the weakest of the four." guesses Tia."I was." He admits. "Told you." She stares into his eyes."Is he being tricky? This seems a bit too easy." You say, your suspicions aroused by the unusual cooperativeness of a soulless monster that just tried to kill you a moment ago (though you admit he was kind of bad at it)"Leave it to me." She keeps her eyes locked into his. "Are you being tricky?""I am not." He replies with unusual seriousness."Why not." She asks immediately."Because I've fallen in love." He immediately replies. She punches him like a boxing bag.(cont.)

>>30891606>"Because I've fallen in love." He immediately replies.Welp I'm convinced
>>30891629Well if the economy picks up from all the shit we're going to pull, I hope we can get some new clothing styles in.Even if it's just a Sunday Best-style thing for Dancing Smoke's dances/our cult events (also dances)

>>30891695A giant water snake that turned into a petite and submissive man after we beat it up....yeah, Regis is fucked. But, hey, at least he wasn't stoned to death.
"You don't love. Raksha." She growls at him, tapping her heart five times with a finger. Like superstitious wards against calling the true name of the Fae are actually relevant when you just punched the air out of one. "You pretend to love. You don't have any real, human emotions. It's all an elaborate lie you make up for your own amusement.""...That's true." He admits calmly, after getting his breath back. "But tell me... if a lie is convincing enough, and you believe enough in it, and you repeat it long enough, and it's beautiful enough... and even you start believing in it... even you WANT to believe in it..." His eyes glance for a moment up at you, then back to Tia's. "...Then how can it not be true?"She grabs his head, and stares into his eyes from so close that their eyeballs are practically touching. "Swear.""I swear." He replies. "To be bound in this love, by the cup and the staff and the ring and sword, 'till my heart is unbound."She lets go of him. "He's not being tricky. Or he's being especially tricky, but it's a tricky you can use." She pats her hands, like she just had to touch something dirty. "Would make a good addition to your harem of exotic concubines or something.""...I don't have one.""You do now." >>30891909>find out where the castle isWell, if it's a middle march I'm guessing it's wherever the narrative deems it appropriate to be given our journey to it. The Wylde's pretty annoying to navigate, so Gary's going to be an invaluable guide.
>>30891874I don't think she minds if Maka fucks it, but she's not touching it.

Shrugging, you let go of your... new acquisition, apparently. His blatantly otherworldly presence makes you quite uncomfortable, but you have other things to worry about: the lava flow is about halfway through the plain. There are still come fights going on, but it seems like most raiding parties have been ambushed and destroyed by the barbarians. You're fairly sure it's pretty impossible for them to not have seen the giant snake, though, so you wait.About five minutes later, with a drilling noise, a hole opens in the ground next to you. From it emerges... Zaan, a bit splattered in blood, riding a rhinoceros made entirely from soft packed earth."Hello there." He waves at you. "How did things go here?""Punched a behemoth." You nod at the shattered piles of goldstone lying to the side. "Owner apparently swore his love to me." You nod the other way, to Garnet, who is sitting on the ground at your feet. He looks up to acknowledge the Lunar, who replies by making a puzzled, confused, surprised noise with his mouth."...You must have really impressed him." He says. Then he gives a second look at your new outfit. "Nice jacket.""Thanks." Garnet replies. You look down at him. For some reason, he still has the jacket and boots you took off from him, like he somehow put back on exact copies while you weren't watching."Did he say anything interesting?" He asks. You bring him up to speed."Huh. Seems like we really underestimated the Fae's power and readiness. Five nobles are... quite a bit. Talon was right.""Talon?" You ask."He was the one who insisted for not attaching the Swamp until we were sure we seriously outnumbered any likely threat, for this precise reason: In case we were wrong.""Wise." You nod. The lava is almost here."I should probably go and meet back up with him. He's busy hunting a particularly fast group of stragglers, he might need someone to cut off their retreat. By the way, Samiel's following the lava flow, if you're wondering."

>>30892144Then actually VOTE for it>>30892161That "oath" was sketchy as shit.
>>30892178I think you mean orgasms.Which would mean that all Fae are women.
>>30892203>That "oath" was sketchy as shit.Nah, it was legit. Fae oaths are binding when they swear on their graces.
>>30892178You know, if the Great Maker could convert Fae to Mountain Folk I wonder what a semi-industrious Solar could do with them?
>>30892203I voted for it on three different votes, and almost no-one else did, so I had to try a different approach
>>30892216It's the actual oath it was binding itself to that was sketchy.
>>30892218To be fair, those fae were already crystallized in Jade deposits. Actually working Raksha directly would be EVEN HARDER than making the Jadeborn. Who were, themselves, significantly harder to invent than pissant old humanity.
>>30892240Alchemicals can reformat Raksha directly into Jadeborn. It requires Clarity 10 and is stupidly hard to actually pull off, but they can do it.So we just need to find ourselves a robot friend. A robot friend with no emotions.
>>30892240Not saying it would be easy or something Maka would pursue, just that I'd never really thought of it until now but thought it was an interesting thought experiment.
>>30892255we'd have to break the seal first. That's even harder than saving Gem, and that's saying something
Mental + Twilight = 4 2 1 7 = 1 success"Can I trust this fae, by the way?" You point at Garnet. "Tia made him swear an oath, but he still creeps me out.""If he swore an oath? Probably yes" Zaan nods. "He might just have done it to save his own skin, but that's up to you."You nod. "Well, I'm going to wait for the lava here. Good luck, Zaan."He waves at you before diving back underground on his trusty steed."...So. What about Regis? Lava's showing up." She helpfully points out. The flaming river of molten rock is in fact kind of close. >>30892347..Are we inadvertently preparing for poor Samiel to get NTR'd when he shows up?"OH NARA-ON, BURNING YOUR FIELDS FEELS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THAT SILLY TERRESTRIAL!"Now I feel sad.
>>30892281>Carry him somewhere safe, TiaWe have to tell Samiel about the 3 other fae nobles before we head back to the ships
>>30892372>Hmm. I had this vague recollection of a bunch of perfect circles opening seven out of eight before they were stopped, no idea where I got that.Ah, I see what the issue is.Opening any less than all of them is an unmitigated failure because the Seals were never all up. The way they work is that opening one causes its opposite to close. In color wheel terms, opening Red causes Green to close, and so forth. They just spent centuries shuffling them around and having no clue what they were doing.
>>30892383Yara-On, but yes, possibly.
>>30892383It's okay, we can comfort him in our bountiful brown busom
>>30892383Hmm, I wonder if Dancing Smoke is going to have a clutch of wild fire godlings to set loose on poor Yaraon?
>>30892281>Carry him somewhere safe, TiaYea, we don't want our shota burning to death. Not until we Tiger Warrior Train him into someone who is a bit more durable. It would be awesome if we could make him into an enlightened mortal, although it would probability never happen.
>>30892443I expect they're literally making a short-lived wildfire child, yes. It will be born, live, and die all on this one day.
>>30892443Oh god. Samiel and Dancing Smoke's children endlessly molesting poor Yara-on.Why do I want this?
Why do we do all the cool and impressive stuff when (almost) no-one's around to see it.How are we supposed to get a cult like this?
>>30892455Personally, I don't want to invest in Twilight, but if we do, we'll definitely be picking up the charms to enlighten mortals and the other Training effect charm.
>>30892458Maybe, but there's got to be a seasonal god of wildfires or at least reoccurring fires somewhere other there...
Can't we have our god allies enlighten mortals for us? That's a thing they can do, right?
>>30892474Don't worry about it. We've got plenty of witnesses who will spread amazing tales back to Tianna.
>>30892494Yeah, they just have to learn the enlightenment charm for spirits. Hell, Tia could learn the Lunar version if she was really into that.
>>30892517how good are the spirit and lunar version compared to the solar one?
Exalted Quest.Awesome rolls anon.I also agree with some of the people above we should save some of the shiny gold in case its valuable since it could set us up for merchant actions and even improvements for both Tianna, Three rivers and the Pirate town we are going to take over.Letting it be eaten by lava is going to put a bit of a cramp in that if we are already just waiting over here doing nothing.
>>30892541Spirit one is worse than the exalted variants actually. Specifically, it lets the mortal make a roll at the end of a month to enlighten their essence, instead of just blasting it open instantly.
"...carry him somewhere safe, Tia?" You ask her. "It'll be all right." You add to him. "I have to meet with Samiel, and this could get dangerous.""I'll bring him to the Bloodshark and them come back to look for you, I guess." She says, motioning to your butler to come to her. "What about your toy?""I'm staying with Maka." He says. She sighs. "I don't need to make all the usual threats, I hope, Just... behave."He nods. As vulture-Tia flies away with Regis, the river of Lava flows like a tide of fire. "Alright. Let's try this."Bracing yourself against the impact and the heat, you let yourself being swept up by the molten rock. You expected it to be a lot more liquid, but it IS molten rock after all: you find yourself sitting on the moving, shifting surface of the lava front. Tentatively, you stand up, and sink into the stuff, slowly, down to the knees. It's hard to keep yourself straight, but you manage somewhat. Good think your Powers protect you from any harm done to you from the nature of Creation itself. Not too distant from you, Samiel is surfing the wave of fire as well, being also immune to fire thanks to his Aspect. "...Oh, Maka. What did I miss?""Giant water snakes." You shrug. "Crazy fae boys. Change of wardrobe."He looks at you. As the flow takes you slowly towards the Wyld, he keeps staring and frowning."Maka, maybe now's not the right time, but there's a question that's been bothering me a lot." He says, turning his eyes down."Yes?" You ask him. You're pretty curious as to what it might be."Why is it that you're always either naked, or wearing this kind of outrageously inappropriate clothes?">I'm sexy and I know it>I find clothes confining and restrictive>I like having a daring and original wardrobe>It's a weapon and this how I use it>My body is a gift from the Unconquered Sun and I should display it>Dodge the question
Do fae have a way of enlightening essence?
>>30892588>I like having a daring and original wardrobe"... and you obviously like how it looks, too"
>>30892588>I find clothes confining and restrictive
>>30892588>I like having a daring and original wardrobe

>>30892588>I'm sexy and I know it>I like having a daring and original wardrobe
>>30892588> I find clothes confining and restrictiveAlso, more skin bared means more skin exposed to the Sun.
Rolled 3>>30892588>I like having a daring and original wardrobeThat's the answer that he would most likely prefer hearing. Better to make him feel less uncomfortable.
>>30892588>My body is a gift from the Unconquered Sun and I should display itfollowed by>I find clothes confining and restrictive
>>30892588>I'm sexy and I know itEh. Every option basically boils down to this answer. Also explain that our clothes have gotten shredded or ruined in half our fights anyway, so we decided 'fuck it.' After all, our wardrobe just plain can't keep up with is.
>>30892588Clothes kid of get wrecked when i get into a fight. So, why bother anymore? Might as well have some fun with it.
>>30892588>My body is a gift from the Unconquered Sun and I should display itOr at least that's what I figured is the best excuse after your mother's maid got me to understand what's going on with my appearance now.
>>30892630this. Also, haven't had time to go shopping since this whole mess started.
Rolled 6>>30892588>I like having a daring and original wardrobe"you don't like it?" *pout*
>>30892588>I like having a daring and original wardrobeStuff like modesty stops mattering when you are exalted
>>30892588>My body is a gift from the Unconquered Sun and I should display itMostly this.>I'm sexy and I know it>I like having a daring and original wardrobeThese also help.I don't know that Maka thinks of her body as a "weapon", necessarily, but it's definitely a useful asset.
Rolled 9>>30892630thisand our clothes keep being destroyed
>>30892607They can use the spirit charm IIRC. That causes the mortal's essence to read as Fae though, which tends to cause issues.
>>30892588>I like having a daring and original wardrobe>My body is a gift from the Unconquered Sun and I should display itI like these two the most, one part personal taste and one part priestly devotion to UCS

Rolled 10>>30892588>I like having a daring and original wardrobe>I also like people's reaction to it
>>30892588>My body is a gift from the Unconquered Sun and I should display itIt's only our humble duty to praise the sun with our radiant nakedness. Also we are from Gem where less is more. Prince should be aware of cultural differences!

>>30892788Five incluiding him.
>>30892788i thought it was four other nobles?
"They keep getting wrecked." You justify yourself with a shrug."And you just happened to find a pair of boots, a jacket, and nothing else." He replies, unimpressed."...No. I also like trying new clothes and showing them off." You smile. "Though I imagine you're more interested in what's inside the clothes." you hint, lifting a corner of the jacket. Not like it actually changes anything except being a suggestive gesture, since that jacket is way too small for you anyway."L-later." He averts his eyes. "It's distracting. We have to focus now.""Oh, so later is fine?" You ask.He takes a very, very deep breath, and tries to clean his head. "...You're worse than Dancing Smoke.""What was the deal with her and you, by the way?""It's a short story, and one I still don't feel like telling anyway." He keeps his eyes closed, trying to concentrate. "Come on~" you nag him, now curious."She keeps bothering me. To visit her, to spend the night with her, all sort of things.""Why don't you accept?" You wonder."Because I don't think she's interested in Samiel. She wants the prince of Tianna. Also, because she's completely crazy and a bit of a psychopath.""And you're surfing on her...-""Don't remind me. She already did. A LOT." You giggle. He opens his eyes. "Brace. We're going into the Wyld."(short AFK, please be patient.)
Rolled 6>>30892822>Because I don't think she's interested in Samiel. She wants the prince of Tianna. You don't have to be a prince for her to think you're cute. She was interested in Regis too, for example

>>30892907And Samiel is conveniently a compatible Aspect.
Rolled 10>>30892973oh please, we've done it with Tia and are planning to do it with the crazy monster from outside reality, the crazy psychopath and a bunch of yandere water spirits
Rolled 4>>30892822"I don't think she cares about "the prince of Tianna", I think see she's a you, attractive, fire-proof man, and those are in very short supply."
>>30892978I think the unsaid words after were something related to cum or sexual fluids.
>>30892822>Slap him across the face and make it clear that you resent his behaviourYou heartless bastard! Just because she's a mature woman with hot temperament interested in much younger guy that also happens to be a bit successful doesn't mean she's a gold digger! She probably has more gems in her lonely volcano than you'll ever have! A-and after meeting her I'm certain she has (literally) a heart of diamond! Stupid kid!
>>30892986All that stuff is expected of a Solar Exalted slut.Samiel is a young and pure Dragonblooded.
>>30893079I would much prefer Maka still being proud of her sexuality but only sleeping with people she cares about. That's what we've done up to now, and I hope it continues.
>>30893198Agreed. I'm 100% on board with continuing in this fashion.
>>30893198This with the exception of ceremonial orgies, one night stands with cute women/men and relations offered as part of diplomatic packages.
>>30892986Yeah, Tia's way crazier than Dancing Smoke and we fixed her.
>>30893253I would not go that far.
>>30892822...Maka is killing me, here.
>>30893253>Tia's way crazier than Dancing Smoke and we fixed herTia never asked for human sacrifice. That makes her infinitely better than Dancing Smoke could ever be.
>>30893311On either count, really...
>>30893357Dancing Smoke mostly wants it because that's what all the other Volcano gods get. Even then, what she's getting now is a hell of a lot more than she received before the deal.
>>30893357No, she just ate the beating heart of a talking, sentient sharkman.
>>30893385>Dancing Smoke mostly wants it because that's what all the other Volcano gods get....so? It's still unabashedly fucking evil. Peer pressure isn't a justification for wanting human sacrifice.>>30893395At least that had a purpose aside from ego inflation and a pocket full of celestial cash. Dancing Smoke wants random people murdered as a bribe.
Samiel is a dick. I don't like him, he acts so superficially. Plus Dancing Smoke isn't a psychopath, she has empathy.
>>30893385I like how we meet these beautiful, insane women and find out after talking with them how they have softer sides and may just be a bit more eccentric than everyone else.
>>30893428>Plus Dancing Smoke isn't a psychopath, she has empathy. She has empathy and wants human sacrifice anyway. That means she's properly evil and knows how wrong the thing she's asking for is, instead of just fucking nuts.
>>30893395To be fair, she was going to kill him anyway, the only difference is now she can add "giant sharkman" to her list of transformations.
>>30893409>evilAren't you the butthurt guy that derailed a thread with his bitching not so long ago? No one cares about how "evil" DS is because she's hot. Drop the subject.
>>30893454Honestly, that's just plain less wasteful than simply killing him would have been.
>>30893444She isn't human. It's more like her being fully aware of the process of veal production, but still wanting a tasty piece of meat every once in a while.
>>30893454>>30893395Plus the heart eating is a given to lunars who want to change shape into their prey, and in her plan that was necessary.Do consider that lunars are almost all one or two steps away from ritualistic serial killer in this regard by our standards.
Rolled 2>>30893079>pure Dragonblooded.Dbs are the guys that were made with an extra strong libido so they could breed faster
>>30893482Except humans are, in every way, just as sapient and intelligent as a god. It's more like if cows were sapient tool-users who could talk and ask for mercy, but we ate them anyway. That's what this is like.
>>30893409>Dancing Smoke wants random people murdered as a bribe. And we'll fix that. With dancing bitches.
>>30893409...Gods aren't bound by human morality, they are fed by human worship, and do tons of petty, facetious things because it improves their standing and income. Which is a big part of why the Exalted were mandated to keep the gods below the Incarnae in line. And without the Solars around with powerful backing from the UCS to support them, the DBs basically had to resort to punching them back into line.
>>30893501>And we'll fix that. With dancing bitches.Bringing out dancing bitches instead of human sacrifices doesn't change the fact that she originally wanted - and probably still wants - human sacrifice.
>>30893513>Gods aren't bound by human moralityStandards of divine morality also illegalized human sacrifice because heaven finds it insanely evil. Asking for human sacrifice is a crime punishable by death. What she's asking for isn't even okay by divine standards, let alone human standards, and that's assuming you don't hold gods to basic standards of compassion.
>>30893514...you're really hung up on this human sacrifice thing, aren't you?
Rolled 3>>30893514are we really having this discussion again? Sigh, at least we're already in autosage
>>30893535>because heaven finds it insanely evilNot really, mostly they find it wasteful and don't want to encourage it. Then again, we haven't been to heaven yet, so there's a good chance that it's legal in this version of Creation.
>>30893575>a good chance that it's legal in this version of CreationBased on what evidence?>mostly they find it wastefulNo, they find it evil. The UCS, for example, specifically forbade it because he found a desecration of virtue.Which, admittedly, is fucking weird, since the Dragon Kings were super into human sacrifice to the UCS.
>>30893444She's not "evil", she's a volcano who was once one of the most powerful gods and now she was moved to rot in some department at the end of the world, downgraded, out of the "big game" that other gods, her previous colleagues had and even after being downgraded such horribly, she still has less than some a lot younger and less capable co-workers.It's like she was a CEO of a big corporation and suddenly she was moved to an office in Bangladesh where she is just a normal accountat that has to stay after hours and at Christmas and she doesn't even get candies and 13th payment as rest of her colleagues due to the "different policy of her department". Think how frustrating it must be. Oh and to add to the depressed image of it she is working alone, isolated from other colleagues who honestly don't like her/hate her guts (Yaraon). Oh and that young, interesting guy with nice buttocks she's interested in secretly thinks she's a crazy cat lady going for his money.Now you understand how pitiful her situation is? ;__;
>>30893535She's not getting it anyways, so stop hanging on it so much. In fact, we could make it a crusade to see that the practice is eradicated in the west. It's not like the Celestial bureaucracy is coming down to put these terrestrial gods on trial at all. Their silence on it is as much an approval of the practice as anything could be.
>>30893606Holy shit, just take a trip so we can ignore your personal crusade.
>>30893625>she's a former CEO that's now asking people to kidnap hobos for her so she can sell their organs and pay the billsThat's what your analogy actually is.
Rolled 6What the laws of heaven say and what is just doesn't always line up perfectly. Did you know that in the eyes of heaven, divorce requires the consent of the person with the higher essence, unless one of them is a solar, in which case his consent is required. That's right, if you married some asshole god and wanted a divorce but he had higher Essence, you can't leave him. There's also judges that are also persecutors AND collect 1/4 of the fees the impose, so they always find you guilty.
>>30893626>She's not getting it anywaysIt's the fact that she asked for it in the first place. She's at LEAST as evil as the Raksha - at least they actually do need to eat human souls to survive, she just wants it as a bonus. The only redeeming quality she has is that she's willing to play ball. She's our ally, but that doesn't change that she's evil as fuck.
You ride the wave of lava into the fog. You're surprised to realize that the fog was nothing more than a wall in fact, a few meters deep, but it immediately vanishes to leave space to a rather alien landscape. As far as the eye can see, a field of pointy, spike-shaped monoliths greets your arrival, lazily rising out of the wet, soggy terrain and drifting upwards, into the surreally-colored clouds. The terrain hisses and sprays jets of vapor as the lava rolls over it, and the lava becomes a lot more unstable as bubbles of high-pressure steal form on it and resurface violently. Samiel seems fairly balanced, but you're a bit out of your element, and have to struggle to keep your footing and land face-down in magma a couple of times.Seriously, being able to swim in magma without burning was surreal enough for you. Finally regaining your posture, you look around better. There are, here and there, sparse groups and squads of lizardmen in panic. Some loose a few arrows at you, but their shots are unaimed and wildly off-mark."I think we caught them by surprise." Samiel states the obvious. These lizardmen don't seem to have villages or settlements. They don't seem to have any indication that they farm or anything like that, either. They probably sustain themselves exclusively off the Wyld energies? This place is way more bizarre than you first thought, and you suspect it isn't over yet."Garnet." You say, suddenly naming the fae you had forgotten about up to this moment, only to see him standing next to you on some sort of silver-like metallic disc that floats on the magma, inlaid with a fine etching of a motif of chains and rings. "...Where did you get that?""Just now." He smiles. "Need a ride?""...Is that the crazy fae boy you mentioned a minute ago?" Samiel is worried."Yeah. So, Garnet. You said there are other three nobles.""Them, and Tarien Dorian, the Prince of the Black Marsh. All three of them are his servants." He explains.(cont.)
>>30893606>The UCS, for example, specifically forbade it because he found a desecration of virtue.>Which, admittedly, is fucking weird, since the Dragon Kings were super into human sacrifice to the UCS.That's because the Glories version of Conky is fucking stupid, but that's neither here nor there.
>>30893606>based on what evidenceEF already said he's taking a hatchet to Cannon, so I'd say conservatively that there's at least a 30% chance of human sacrifice being outright legal. Mostly I was just pointing out that using the standard setting as justification for any argument isn't very convincing when we know much of Cannon's already been jettisoned.
Rolled 10>>30893675Raksha only "need" souls to survive when not in the wyld.Even in creation, they can feed of ambient energy
>>30893722>EF already said he's taking a hatchet to CannonNo, he said that 'not everything' would match canon, but he's overall actually cleaved extremely close to it so far.>I'd say conservatively that there's at least a 30% chance of human sacrifice being outright legalSo you're just making shit up.>we know much of Cannon's already been jettisonedAgain, he's actually been relatively true to it.
Rolled 1What the laws of heaven actually are completely irrelevant, they are so loosely enforced
>>30893675>She's at LEAST as evil as the RakshaAnd the shark has been jumped. And not in the fun way.Objectively issue is less evil than the Raksha because she doesn't want to unmake creation and kill all it's inhabitants. She just wants a well seasoned meal after watching her neighbors eat stake for centuries.
>>30893748>he's been relatively true to itAside from completely revising the soul and exaltation related metaphysics of the setting, you mean.
Rolled 6remember she would have been fine with a sentenced criminal, too.She wasn't asking us to kill some random innocent
>>30893772Most Raksha actually find Creation fascinating and fun and eat human souls mostly to survive.Dancing Smoke, on the other hand, wants humans murdered for an ego boost and a handful of celestial cash bribery.
>>30893801>Aside from completely revising the soul and exaltation related metaphysics of the setting...Exaltedfag NEVER made a ruling on that. That was just players arguing with other players.
>>30893802No, she was asking for literally anyone. She didn't care if it was a sentenced criminal or an innocent child. She was fine letting Tianna work out the details.
>>30893675Evil is not an absolute value in Exalted, so get off your damn high horse already. Is what she wanted wrong and considered outside what is acceptable for most terrestrial gods? Yes. Is it a common practice in the region she's being deprived of? Yes. It's an easy, powerful, and fast way for such an entity to get quintessence. If this were set closer to the Realm she'd have been dickpunched by immaculate monks into accepting she wouldn't get it, but out here the only reason is that the ruling DBs loathe the idea.
>>30893854So you're saying that Maka should be okay with someone having wanted random humans to be murdered for celestial bribery because 'lol moral relativism?'
I mean to ask this before, does anybody know whether Tia eating the sharkman's heart gave her his memories?
Rolled 10>>30893808>Most Raksha actually find Creation fascinating and fun and eat human souls mostly to survive. They only need souls when in creation, so they're eating humans so they can play with the fun and fascinating thing
>>30893889The reason most Raksha are actually in creation is because horrible Wyld predators will eat them if they don't at least stay in the bordermarches. Not because they want to play in a sandbox full of mortals.
>>30893899I thought Raksha were the horrible Wyld predators.
>>30893880No. But give it up already because IT DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER ANYMORE. She's not getting sacrifices, she knows this, and she agreed to our terms because it was either that or keep starving from getting no worship at all. So fucking drop it already.
>>30893922No, Raksha are horrible predators of mortals. But they're Shaped. Unshaped predators in the proper Wyld hunt them, so they hide in Creation to keep from being eaten. They so happen to need to then eat mortals to survive.
>>30893931...what? All I'm saying is that she's a bad person, and that Tia isn't crazier/more evil than her. This whole conversation was started by someone saying Tia was crazier than Dancing Smoke.I'm not even arguing FOR anything, just stating my opinion and having people shout 'NUH UH' and then clarifying.
Rolled 7>>30893974So you think Tia wouldn't accept the death of a single human she doesn't know if was for something she cared about, like for example Maka?
>>30893994I think that Tia wouldn't ask for someone to murder random people of their choosing in order to score a stack of cash and an ego boost.
>>30893974By that Maka is also horrible and evil person despite her appearances - casually killing a pirate because she can is one of the examples. You can't use that morality frame to Exalted, better think in terms of greek gods, edda poetica and other myths. Beings here are as evil as Apollo, greek god of the sun who despite being perfect and "good" skinned alive Marysas.
"Good. point us towards the castle of this Tarien Dorian. We're smashing the place up and kicking your friends back into the sea." You blink. "...Also my butler said that there's a story going around of you guys kidnapping little kids who misbehave and transforming them into these lizard people. That's not true, right?""What? Oh, oh no, not at all!" He explains. "Well. That's a relief.""We kidnap the good kids too.""Just..." You clench your fist. "...Just give me directions to something I can punch.""Through the Forgotten Ruins, past them and into the Forest of Lost Souls, and then you can push onwards to Shattersky Fortress."You rub your temples. "That... doesn't make any sense.""It does." The fae nods. "Trust me.""How about no." Replies Samiel, batting aside a flying arrow with the back of his hand angrily. "How about we stay on the lava until it has spread out evenly over this blight and THEN we step down and look for someone still standing and bust his kneecaps?>Follow Garnet's "directions">Follow Samiel's advice>Other?
>>30894032>casually killing a pirate because she can is one of the examplesYou mean when she kicked a dude through the deck? Because that was to intimidate the entire crew into surrender. It had an actual purpose and a point.Human sacrifice, on the other hand, is having someone be murdered for your ego and a bribe. If Maka started killing people just to have her ego sated and steal their shit, yeah, that would be pretty fucking evil too.
>>30894044>Follow Samiel's adviceWe're here to destroy the place, not play games with their landscape.
>>30894044>Follow Garnet's "directions""You wouldn't lead the person you 'love' to her death right?"
Since the thread is getting filled with a discussion that is unrelated to the game and is really more fitting for the Exalted General, I'm closing this a bit early with your vote on the last post, hoping to get a fresh start tomorrow.2 XP (base XP)1 XP (smacking a Behemoth)
>>30894055 >Because that was to intimidate the entire crew into surrender. It had an actual purpose and a point.Murdering someone on sight because there's a chance that their friends might not agree to our offer. In any campaign where the PC's were the crew of that ship Maka would have been instantly labeled as evil and fought to the death.
>>30894044>Follow Samiel's adviceLet's do the one that doesn't make us slog through the wylds
>>30894044>Follow Samiel's advice
>>30894044>>Follow Garnet's "directions"
>>30894134...I think you're thinking of a different setting. This is Exalted, where might makes right and the chosen of the Incarnae literally have the mandate to decide the difference between right and wrong. Also, fuck you for causing this discussion to end the thread early.
>>30894044>Follow Garnet's "directions"better to kill the fae and save the land
>>30894168>Also, fuck you for causing this discussion to end the thread early. This discussion was caused by 100% of the people who participated in it, not just whichever side you disagree with. >>30894044>Follow Samiel's adviceUnless there is a good reason not to, we should go along with Samiel's plan.
Rolled 10>>30894013That's because for Tia, status or worship don't matter. Only Maka matters to her.If getting a town to sacrifice a single human would increase Maka's Essence and she knew the town probably had some guy sentenced to death they could use, she still wouldn't do it?

>>30894119Aww. Out of curiosity, what Zenith charms do we have available for purchase? And before all of you start yelling about "mah Tiger Warriors!" I just want to see if there's a shaping defense up there, because survival would be useful.
>>30894255>That's because for Tia, status or worship don't matter. Only Maka matters to her. Then she's doing it for something other than bribe money and an ego boost. That alone makes it an inherently different action - which, mind you, would still be incredibly fucked up regardless.
>>30894269What? I didn't even participate in the discussion. Because I'm not a fucking retard like 100% of the people who did participate. You absolute fucking retard.>I can't stand to let someone be wrong on the internet!Jackass.
Guys, if you want to keep the subjective morality discussion going can you please take it to the Exalted General Thread, where it belongs?
Rolled 1>>30894287Murdering someone so YOU get a powerboost is worse than murdering someone so your girlfriend gets one?
>>30894338You're talking about different things. One is getting 1,000 Celestial fun-monies and feeling awesome because your peons murdered someone for you.The other is directly enhancing your girlfriend's power levels, making her much more likely to survive the constant danger that comes her way.
XP uses:Twilight 3 (6 XP)Night 3 (6 XP)Eclipse 3 (6 XP)Charms:[zenith]Ox-Body Technique (Permanent. +1 HP)Husband-Seducing Demon Dance (1 Ess. A performance you give causes anyone seeing it to instantly gain a positive feeling for you (love, respect, starry-eyed admiration, etc))Tireless Hero's Soul (Permanent. Vastly increases resistance to tiredness and fatigue)Integrity Protection Prana (1 Ess, protects from hostile reality-altering and shaping powers)
Rolled 7>>30894358You do realize that gods are empowered by worship and sacrifice, right?
>>30894358...celestial fun monies also raise your power level, which would be useful if you needed to fight off the predations of other gods.
>>30894376>Integrity Protection PranaI am voting we buy this.
>>30894376Voting for Intefrity Protection Prana. Also, can we regain essence in wyld tainted lands?
>>30894376IPP lasts 1 day, forgot to mention.
>>30894376>Integrity Protection Prana>Fighting RakshaI think we need this more than Tiger Training
Rolled 3>>30894387Or, you know, Raksha or Lintha or Abyssals
>>30894376>Integrity Protection Prana (1 Ess, protects from hostile reality-altering and shaping powers)We want this. I get the feeling it's going to be very useful, very quickly.
Rolled 4>>30894383>>30894387They're given slightly higher mote regen by ACTUAL WORSHIP. Sacrifices, on the other hand, gives them items that can be bartered for things like celestial cocaine and bribing their superior officers. The actual sacrifice part is ultimately the exact same thing as having someone killed and selling their organs for cash because you want more cash. Which is fine when it's stuff like cattle ands fucking evil when it's a sapient being.
Rolled 8>>30894376Shit. Tiger Warriors can wait. We need IPP.
Rolled 4We don't need IPP. We're gonna use it once and then never use it again. It's a waste, unless we plan to go adventure in the wyld
Rolled 7>>30894475There are non-Raksha Shaping effects, and this would protect us from those too.
Rolled 7No to IPP.We can deal with what the Raksha can throw at us. Try to think long-term, people
>>30894376>Integrity Protection Prana (1 Ess, protects from hostile reality-altering and shaping powers)Yea, shaping protection is important. Especially since we are going into the Wyld.
>>30894516>think long termSidreals.
>>30894506They are also rare and/or avoidable.We don't even have a PD, a shaping defense is a friviolity
Rolled 2>>30894516The Raksha could literally snap their fingers and turn our brains into steam without a shaping defense.
Rolled 2>>30894537Perfect defenses aren't a thing in this quest, and thank fuck for that.
>>30894537I thought Perfects weren't going to be a thing in EF's mechanics?
>>30894548If they could do that, then why are we bringing anyone without one?
>>30894566>>30894576There are perfects. They require skill 5 and const 1 Essence per attack but completely deny it.Considering that attack cause at most 3 points of damage, they're only really useful as a last-ditch effort, or to avoid a 3-damage hit.
>>30894305Posting something that's wrong on 4chan and not expecting replies is like blowing up a dam and expecting the water to stay up in the reservoir.>>30894453There is no objective evil in Exalted, this is not D&D. Is it objectively "wrong" to do human sacrifice? Yes. But evil is the absolute worst term to use for an entity that cannot understand why humans think the act is wrong.
>>30894548If they could do that, the Lunars would have said something. They couldn't assume we'd get IPP, so they think we can do it without one.
>>30894376>Integrity Protection Prana (1 Ess, protects from hostile reality-altering and shaping powers)Critical here.
Rolled 6>>30894582Because most people are just fighting hobgoblins, the Lunars' tattoos make them immune, and at least one of the Raksha (the one we captured) is incompetent. But we should still take precautions unless we want to be turned into a toad our have our skin melted off or something?
>>30894628I'm not crippling our long-term plans because people wanted to be extra super sure nothing could hurt them and buy highly situational charms
Rolled 4>>30894612>cannot understandExcept she's not a demon or a Raksha. Gods actually have very human minds. She understands perfectly and just doesn't care.
>>30894660Seriously shut the fuck up. NO ONE CARES
Rolled 6>>30894650Alright. But unless you have veto power, everyone else is. The only thing that could sway me to not getting IPP is if EF confirmed we could have our fae bitch on overwatch unshaping us as fast as the others shape.
Could someone tell me what fae in middlemarches can actually do to someone without shaping defenses? Because "you auto-lose" doesn't sound very plausible, even if it's what people seem to think with how badly they want IPP.
Rolled 9>>30894684Then why do people keep taking about it with me? I would have stopped after a single post if people hadn't argued with me.
>>30894720OP has already said we don't need paranioa combos, so not nearly as a bad as the supporters say. On the other hand it will probably be useful.
>>30894746Yeah, but I'm afraid, like others, that we'll buy the charm, use it once and then never ever touch it again because we'll spend all our time beating up demons and stuff.
Rolled 10>>30894770Demons also have Shaping charms. So do Exalts.
>>30894650>highly situational charmsLike Hardship Surviving Spirit?Seriously, none of the charms are that more important that the other in this quest and we can easily make up the xp necessary for Tiger Warrior by adventuring.Personally, I think Dawn 4 would be better than Tiger Warrior, but each to his own.
ITT: People that haven't read Graceful Wicked Masques and assume raksha are litteraly gods in the middlemarches that can kill kill with a thought
>>30894597What if multiple enemies hit us all at once?
>>30894889>What if multiple enemies hit us all at once? Then it was your fault for putting yourself in a situation where several enemies with high damage output could work together and hit you with a coordinated attack.
Raksha can't really do much with shaping to a Solar. Hitting one with shaping combat requires (Willpower + Essence) + 6 Successes on a shaping attack, good luck with that.Fantasies can be ignored and do nothing but create a moderate dice penalty.
>>30894044>Follow Samiel's adviceIf we rush off now its maka + faeboy vs 4 enemy fae lords. If we take it slow we will be facing them alongside samiel, tia, and maybe a few other exalts.>>30894376>Integrity Protection Prana (1 Ess, protects from hostile reality-altering and shaping powers)So very this. Also, how come dawn and zenith aren't listed? (are they just hidden due to not having enough XP?)
Hey EF I have a question? What determines who hits first? because we've been in several situations where we one-hit the enemy but they hit us first so we still took some damage. Is there a mechanism behind it?
>>30894841>Personally, I think Dawn 4 would be better than Tiger Warrior, but each to his own.I actually agree with that. We shouldn't rush tiger warrior
Rolled 7>>30894945You're ignoring the fact that Raksha can get truly staggering numbers of dice even without excellencies, and that we don't even have a Willpower or Permanent Essence score yet.
Rolled 6>>30894978I disagree. Already being able to give mortals 6 in their combat pools - twice that of a professional soldier and half again as much as a seasoned veteran - is a total game-changer. And that's not even taking giving our acolytes Zenith 4 into account.
>>30894997Yes, because they weren't needed yet. I was pointing out how you'd need something like 34 dice to affect the average starting Solar, and assumed that it would be similarly hard here.
Rolled 6>>30895027And a starting Raksha can get a dice pool that large with trivial ease.
>>30894971There's no initiative in this game and all hits are simultaneous., form a purely mechanical sense.Of course, I refluff it as the flow of combat going in a certain way or another because it makes for a more coherent narrative.
>>30895049If we're fighting enemies with 30 dice dicepools, then we're completely fucked with our meager 10 dice combat pool
>>30895026You assume instant upgrading of our followers. It takes weeks to do and we need to our own personal abilities sooner
>>30895057is it possible to block or dodge attacks? Because I don't think I've seen a single enemy not hit us, ever
>>30895057What are you going to do when you inevitably loose space on the portrait. You're already making the text really small.
>>30895026True, but we need to time it right. Strictly speaking, even if we do get downtime and find ourselves without xp to buy Tiger Warrior, it will not be too difficult to get it. We can always explore the land looking for new allies, or go into Wavecrest or hunt fae or a wyld hunt will happen, in addition to the Abyssal and Lintha attacks...You get the picture. We won't run out of things to do like ever. The best time to use Tiger Warrior would be when either we marry Amata or have her make us her general and then we use it on the whole of Tianna along with our pirate crews.
>>30895116It is possible and it did happen. Maka has a passive defense value and enemies must score higher than that value on a roll i make privately.>>30895142I have no idea.
>>30895248>we marry AmataI want this to happen
>>30895266Maybe have a separate powers page in a similar style?
>>30895330Or he could just make the picture bigger. It's nowhere near the size cap yet.
