"And point five: Because you're not really indispensable and I can always get rid of you and replace you with someone that isn't about to make a huge fucking mistake right now." You say to the goddamn giant mountain of a shark-beastman who is about to try and chop your head off with a cleaver that looks large enough to be used as an impromptu surfboard.Yagate's men are standing back, utterly terrified by your exchange. The other patrons of the seedy whorehouse you've found yourself, not being so bold, have long vacated the establishment.Well, so much for recruiting pirates to join your cause.>React quickly, block the blade, then roundhouse kick him.>Duck under the table, roll under his legs and get behind him, then grapple him>Try and disarm him>Strike at his blade, aim to shatter it>Ignore his attack and focus on offense, straight right jab him in the solar plexus

>>30751924forgot the proper link here>>30752388So regarding pirates, they dont seem to have that much supernatural powr meaning they are rather vulnerable to wyld bullshit, aside from perhaps a fe godblooded captains. are we going to use a asembled fleet to try and split our allied forcs and go for a pincer movement, one from the shores and one from inland?Considering Tia suggested it and since she ought to be a good and experienced warrior they should have some value in campaign , right?
>>30751924>Strike at his blade, aim to shatter itAlso, Iron Kettle Body!

Phys + Dawn: 3 7 10 9 = 4 successes[Iron Kettle Body. Essence 1/5]As Yagate brings down his blade against your head, you bring your fist up, smashing it into his massive cleaver.[1 damage. 4/5 HP]Pain explodes from your fingers as a spray of blood and steel splinters erupts into your field of view. A shard from the beastman's blade has sunken into your hand by a centimeter or so, between the second and third finger. The rest of the weapon has exploded into shards, leaving just a piece of it still sticking out of the handle. You shiver from the shock, as blood splatters everywhere and your hand goes numb with pain. You try and grasp the edge of the table to keep yourself from losing your balance."Huh. Whore's tough." You hear him growl, looking at the stump of his blade. The right side of his face is full of metal shards embedded in it, some deeply, and he's losing blood, but he doesn't seem to realize it, or maybe he just doesn't feel pain: he brings what's left of his weapon up, aiming at giving you a second blow, basically a stab with a sharp, jagged, broken shard of metal. His eyes are bloodshot, and he seems to have gone completely crazy with bloodlust.>Snap it off, leave him unarmed>Evade it, hook him in the gabber>Block his arm, bring him in a submission hold>Grab the table, slam it in his face>Other?

Rolled 2>>30753522>Grab the table, slam it in his faceO...ouch! Solar Hero Style go! Also try to remove the shard from the hand if we get an opening. This bastard is insane.
Rolled 5>>30753522>Evade it, hook him in the gabberAfter this, I'm thinking submission hold, followed by interrogation and fucking him tobdeath.
Rolled 1>>30753622don't forget we need to make a Craft(Teeth of our enemies) roll once we're done.
Rolled 1>>30753783I'm sure Tia can help us, she has experience crafting trophies from her defeated enemies
I just would like to say that shattering his weapon was foolish when we could have put that kind of blow into shattering his elbow or knee. Try not to get killed like a punk, guys
Rolled 4>>30753522>Evade it, strike his knee

>>30753882Trying not to cripple a potential subordinate.
Phys + Dawn: 9 8 9 5 2 = 3 successesYou duck below the second blow, trying to ignore the pain in your hand, and the sharp bit of steel flies over your head, cutting the air with a horrifying noise.Just as Yagate prepares to slice again, you curl up like a coiled snake, and slam your unwounded hand, balled up in a fist, straight on his chin in a lightning-fast hook. You're fairly sure you could have battered down a brick wall with it, and you did see a couple of jagged, triangular teeth flying, but Yagate just stumbles a bit, off-balance, before regaining his footing. He grins a bloody smile at you, his impressive files of fangs missing a few bits here and there, and in response lunges at you, tossing the broken sword aside, now clearly just intent on biting your arms off.Instead, he just impales himself on Tia's long, slender Moonsilver Daiklave, as she swoops down in vulture form between you and him, and re-transforms to human as she lands, blade point-first into the beastman. The sword has run him all the way through near the stomach, to the side of the body, and dark blood immediately bubbles up and drips from the wound. The pirate loses his momentum, and as your Lunar Mate twists the blade in his wound, stumbles and falls, and gets literally nailed to the ground as the tip of the blade is thrusted through the wooden boards of the floor with a wet *thud* sound."No one hurts my wife and lives." She states. "But I'll leave her the honor. She did make you a promise after all.""...You..." The shark-man drools blood from his mouth as he talks. "...You have no idea what you're doing... my father is one of the Three Rivers, the Anathema who rule northern Tianna island... He'll avenge you..."Tia gives you a puzzled look. She's clearly as surprised as you are from his statement.>Interrogate him (his father)>Interrogate him (Lintha)>Torture him>Kill him>Let him go>Ask Tia for advice>Scold Tia for interfering>Leave him to Tia>Ask to his crew

Rolled 5>>30754029>Scold Tia for interferingI hadn't intended to kill him, we need to find a way to stabilize him first.I was thinking that we could put him away behind bars until we get the Husband Seducing Demon Dance, perhaps until after we get the bureaucracy charm, and turn him into an ally. That way we would not even have to interrogate him, he would just tell as all he needed to know on his own. Also, this might potentially explain his Lintha connection. His father is not really one of the Three Rivers, instead the Lintha has brainwashed him into thinking they were. Poor guy.
>>30754138Hahaha no that's hilariously impractical.
>>30754029>Interrogate him (his father)If his father really is one of the Three Rivers, we can't afford to simply kill him.>Let him goIf he's telling the truth. If not, coup de grace.
>>30754126>...why do you think he's affiliated with the Lintha? Us accusing him of that last session is what made him flip his lid and attack us.Because Maka is mildly retarded, especially when botching.
>>30754126Calling his bluff. He's trying to use his father's name as protection so we claim to be a peer of his father (which we sort of are), one that can punish or kill him without much ore than a reprimand. Basically, I'm letting him know that we might concede to the whole "don't kill me or else!" begging/argument, but it's more that we want to watch his dad punish him than us showing mercy.
>>30754138>I hadn't intended to kill him, we need to find a way to stabilize him first. We're incompetent at Medicine and will lose enormous face if we stabilize him after speaking up those big threats.>I was thinking that we could put him away behind bars until we get the Husband Seducing Demon Dance, perhaps until after we get the bureaucracy charm, and turn him into an ally. That way we would not even have to interrogate him, he would just tell as all he needed to know on his own.Put him behind bars where? >>30754138If we scold Tia, and I really don't think we need to do more than admonish her, we do it in private later. Not in front of the recruits.
Rolled 6>>30754029Zaan. Right? You swung first son of three rivers, intending to kill me. And if you are the son of three rivers you will sail with me to fight yyour fathers enemies too, for they are mine as well. Choose your next words carefuly crothspwan for one three rivers is in this room. And Anathema is disrespectful. Shall i tell your father you called him that?
Rolled 3>>30754146It is not really. Now that we won, we can afford to show compassion. There is no need to give into hate here. We would gain absolutely nothing from killing him here.Besides, I think his crewmates are scared enough of us as it is so we have enough cred to do whatever we want.
Rolled 8>>30754029>Interrogate him (his father)>Interrogate him (Lintha)Also, get Tia to find a medic, or yell at his crew for one, we were going to rough him up, but pulling steel (moonsilver in this case) is counterproductive. A show of magnanimity might help convert these pirates. Also have some words with Tia later in private.
>>30754211>A show of magnanimity might help convert these pirates.Or cause them to lose any semblance of respect for us after we swore we would kill these guy and then pussy out of it.Not everyone is redeemable and mercy isn't always the best choice.
Rolled 1>>30754164We are not incompetent at medicine at all, but if you are worried about saving face we should make him submit to us first. Give him his last chance, how about that?Keep in mind, why exactly we have fought today. Because negotiation broke down and to investigate the Lintha connection. If we let him die then all of that just went to waste.
Rolled 8>>30754211Telling her she was awesome with the entrance. But to anyone in the know she showed she is a lunar and us a solar. Nothing bad in this situation since the crew we have is already blabing it. This in private of course. We could ask her if she knows him or about him, now. That should be after asking him about his father. Also medical aid for the lumox
>>30754211>show of magnaminityProbably not a good idea to make these guys think you're soft. They'll either fuck off to a different ship or try cheating us at every chance.
>>30754260>If we let him die then all of that just went to waste. No, it secures us as someone to be respected and feared. It shows you can't disrespect us, that we WILL kill you if we promise it, and that attacking us is a fool's game.If we save his life - especially without making him submit and beg before us - we will lose any chance of being actually respected by these pirates.
Rolled 7>>30754250>Or cause them to lose any semblance of respect for us after we swore we would kill these guy and then pussy out of it.We did not vow a blood feud against him and we are divinely charismatic. We can do whatever we want.
>>30754299>We did not vow a blood feud against him and we are divinely charismatic. We vowed that we would fuck him to death if he didn't cool his shit.He proceeded to try to murder us and mangled our hand in the process. So yeah, if we let him live, we're not only going to be pussying out, we're going to LOOK like we're pussying out - which is, frankly, far more important - in front of these criminals and murderers we had been trying to recruit. The ONLY way I can see this working out in our favor is if we made him beg to live, then openly and cruelly declare that we own him now.
Rolled 1>>30754280>especially without making him submit and beg before usFine, I am okay with trying to do that first. Let's break his will.Changing my vote to:>Talking To The Heart for him to submit to us
>>30754299That depends on our rolls. You might also want to reread EF's last quest post from last thread, the one where we basically goaded him into this fight. It reads like we pretty much want to make an example of killing him in front of his crew, so I'm going to need you to find a really elegant way to walk that back if you want to convince me not killing his is the way to go.
Rolled 7>>30754280Well if we make him submit and kiss our feet and say this was in good fun since he did not try to kill us but ... scare off some bugs away from our glorious presence etc. Greatjon in GoT treatment. We are good enough with words to make it ok. Its our greatest strength. Plus we want a conection to the lunars or lintha. Possible conection.
>>30754299>We did not vow a blood feud against him and we are divinely charismatic. This was the statement that goaded him into the fight:>"And point five." You conclude. "Because you're not really indispensable and I can always get rid of you and replace you with someone that isn't about to make a huge fucking mistake right now."Do you understand how enormously problematic it is to have declared that loudly, have him attack us, and then not kill him? That would destroy any chance of us getting taken seriously.
Rolled 9>>30754350Elegant wordsmithing is the bread and butter of a priest Look at our social and zenith score
Rolled 6>>30754350Easy, threaten his crew submit to us right now while he is bleeding on the ground stuck to a daiklave. Reveal our solar mark. Then we show mercy while they are trembling in fear.
>>30754376Which counts for exactly shit when /tg/ does dumb shit with it.
Rolled 4>>30754370We can pull that off easily if he submits. Possibly letting on that Tis is a big part of three riverd
Rolled 6>>30754385Tru but we have a fe choice posts for that if we fo not back down on his unconditional conscripton
>>30754370Eh, I say we snap his arm, point out how easy his neck would have gone, and say we're willing to give him one last chance because we're friends with his dad. (yes, 'friends' is a bit of an exaggeration, but he doesn't need to know that and neither does anybody in port)
Rolled 4>>30754370>Because you're not really indispensable and I can always get rid of you and replace you with someone that isn't about to make a huge fucking mistake right now.Yeah, and we've definitely proven that point already. Anybody looking to go against us will think twice in the future.>That would destroy any chance of us getting taken seriously.Activate either Talking to the Heart of Majestic Radiance Presence and break those fuckers. Make them mean that we mean business. Being divinely charismatic means that we do whatever we want. We are not fettered to follow the flow of ordinary mortals.
Rolled 9>>30754414Considering our diplay of strength and social score we should be able to pull it of without charms. I want the last esence for one more captain. At least. We need alot of ships ant this island to make all thi worth it
Rolled 5>>30754444And the next day some gold via piracy most likely to secure pay for the crews. With many ships we should easli capturevia tag team two or three ships.Sorry for the many typos but on a phoneits hard
"Zaan?" You ask him. "Your father is Zaan?""Might as well be. He has a lot of kids, but I don't know all of them." Tia says with a shrug."He... HE IS!" Yagate growls. "And he'll have your head on a silver platter unless you let me go right now!""Do you think it's likely this punk might be telling the truth?" You wonder, pulling the shard of steel from your hand. The pain becomes more intense, as does the bleeding, but you clench your teeth and focus. The blood loss slowly subsides, thought the pain doesn't, not right away at least."Might be." She doesn't seem to worry about it. "I doubt Zaan cares much about this idiot. He leaves most of his kids to fend for themselves. As you chatter pleasantly with Tia, you see Yagate's face growing increasingly distressed as he realizes that you both know Zaan already.Tia turns to him. "Oh, by the way, I'm one of the Three Rivers." She mentions, with a vicious, saw-toothed grin. His eyes grow to the size of dinner plates as she wrenches her daiklave from out of his body. He screams."Tell me about your father." You ask him, unfazed. He stammers and hesitates, but says nothing. "...What about the Lintha?" You add, but he shakes his head. "I... I don't... have anything to do with them.">Let him bleed out>Call for a medic>Leave him to Tia>Kill him>Other?
>>30754471>And the next day some gold via piracy most likely to secure pay for the crews. With many ships we should easli capturevia tag team two or three ships. What makes you think there are necessarily going to be any enemy ships to raid in the area? Pirates have SEVERELY stunted all ship trade in the area already. And we do NOT want to raid a ship that might have been going to or from Tianna. We're here to end the pirate problem and score sailors, not make the situation even worse.
Rolled 3>>30754493>Other?"Grovel and beg. If you beg me to let you live, I might try to save you. But if you don't show me that you know your place, then you die right here, right now, drowning on your own blood."

Sell of the slaves and captives that do or can not join.I don't understand what you're trying to say here.>The raksha are not gona leave much loot i suspect. You're probably not right. The Noble, especially, will have plenty of swank shit that - because it's properly Shaped for Creation - will actually be permanent. Selling whatever weapons the Raksha Nobles have alone should pay for these men for years - maybe even pay for a full refit of their ships. The only think more profitable than killing Raksha lords and ladies is killing well-equipped Realm death squads.Anybody that survives will be a well-paid man indeed.
Rolled 5>>30754747>Anybody that survives will be a well-paid man indeed.Which reminds me, these men are going to suffer a LOT of casualties. We don't have Tiger-Warrior Training Technique yet, so these guys are pretty fucked - not that we even have enough weeks of downtime to use it on them.I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA why we're recruiting mortal pirates right now instead of trying to secure additional alliances with the island's gods/spirits using Dancing Smoke's alliance with us as leverage.
Rolled 1>>30754747Pirates we cant rach in time or have the time to convince. The nearby lintha demonshark base. We reduce piracy in the area with one swoop. Sell of slaaves and captives that wont join or are lintha mindfucked in tianna to som sea slave transport. No other pirates lefft snd we and tianna have the only fleet plus this island town for ourselves. If the raksha leave loot all the better if we can keep our navy from too many losses.
Rolled 8>>30754775It was along the way. Not counting today, we still have two more days to recruit. We have to finish things up on the island today.
Rolled 4>>30754775Warm bodies and cannon fodder, also to solve Tianna's pirate problem. And we still have one more day to recruit.
>>30754775Because we didn't plan in advance, a problem /tg/ has with quest.
Rolled 4>>30754775I dont really want them in heavy fighting but as transport to pincer the raksha from the sea with some three rivers warriors and a lunar as payload. On the shore combat suport perhaps. The volcano god should offset the split.
Rolled 1>>30754796No, yesterday was day one, today is day two. We need to spend tomorrow making sure we get back to Tianna, because the morning of the day after that is the start of the assault. We're going to have to travel all day tomorrow just to get back to Tianna in time, considering how long it took us to cross the island on Tia.We've pissed away two whole days trying to get a couple ships of mundane pirates to throw against the Raksha instead of recruiting actually-capable gods using our Sun-granted Zenith powers and an existing alliance with the most powerful goddess on the island as leverage. We are literally just powerwanking over some cannon fodder mortals right now.
Rolled 2>>30754820>pincer the raksha from the seaThat would be relevant if this was a setting with cannons. Unfortunately, we have zero artillery on these ships, meaning they're useless unless our crews actually disembark.
Rolled 3>>30754825the cannon fodder mortals are irrelevantit's the ships and the heroic mortal/godblooded captains we want
You raise your eyes to meet the terrified gaze of his crew. "You can have your captain back for now. Get a medic. Have him bandaged. I still have business with him."Everyone, EVERYONE, nods nervously and forcefully in your direction."He stays here, of course." Tia points out. "Don't even THINK of running away." She spins the blade, cleaning it from his blood by spraying it on the ground. The crew slowly tries their best to patch up the wounds and drag the enormous beastman aside. You sigh, looking at your mangled hand and the blood everywhere. Diplomacy with pirates sure is rough.Tia walks up to you. "...I'm going to kill him." She informs you."Nor now." You try and calm her down. "He still might be useful.""Do you really think he will join you after what happened? He's a mad dog that needs to be put down. You can't trust him. I don't trust him. Didn't you say it yourself, that you can replace him?""...I was just trying to intimidate him. Some trash talk." Your hand REALLY hurts. "Unfortunately, I DO need experienced captains if I want to matter in the West.""I'll help you find some that aren't bloody maniacs." She says. With her wedding dress covered in blood like she is now, she's the one who looks more like a bloody maniac.>Persuade Tia to keep him alive for now>Tell Tia she can get rid of himCombined with>Ask her to stay with you>Tell her you best split up and recruit people independently>Ask her to go get Mikahil
Rolled 1>>30754854>ships and the heroic mortal/godblooded captainsThe ships aren't relevant because they don't have artillery of any kind and the first god-blooded captain we've found is bleeding to death in front of us - and will certainly take more than a single day to heal from his wounds.
Rolled 6>>30754840Enough arrows will kill Raksha though. They're actually the most reliable way to kill any supernaturals as a mortal in this setting
Rolled 9>>30754825I hope tia is a experienced warrior so there should be some worthwhile application of a navy she has in mind against the raksha. I hope.On the trip bsck ob dhip it should be faster and we might get a few more minor gods
Rolled 7>>30754493>Call for a medicAfter giving him a second chance to join us
Rolled 1>>30754863>Persuade Tia to keep him alive for now"We're going to Kill Fey. We *Need* bloody maniacs.">Tell her you best split up and recruit people independently"We'll get more this way, and you can vet the ones you recruit to your satisfaction."
>>30754825Yeah, you are right. I was totally going 'whee pirates' as soon as I got the choice, but it should not take us whole day by air, so we should at least get a few more god allies before the day of the assault. If we get Tireless Hero's Soul we would not have to sleep either, so that should get us extra time.
Rolled 4>>30754863Tell Tia that she can't kill him now, it'll be better if he dies 'heroically' fighting Raksha>Ask her to stay with you,and give her a quick peck on the lips for saving us like that
>>30754863>Persuade Tia to keep him alive for now>Tell her you best split up and recruit people independently
Rolled 4>>30754863>Tell Tia she can get rid of him>Ask her to go get MikahilNeed some advise, a different perspective. >>30754825If the day goes well, we'll have a whole fleet of ships and crew and a port away from Tianna. It's not just 'powerwanking'.
Rolled 1>>30754863>Persuade Tia to keep him alive for nowJust on the off-chance that Zaan actually gives a shit about him, we can't afford to kill him until an alliance is secure.>Ask her to stay with youHere's what we need to do, people. We need to sail out into the ocean and get some kind of spirit or spirits out there to help us. If we can convince a weather/wave god to help us hammer/drown the Raksha with lightning, wind, and briny water, that would be of HUGE help. It would also give us an actual reason to have recruited a pirate crew - we need a ship to take us out to sea to do this after all, right? So, what do you guys say? Cut our losses instead of spending tons of time trying to get one or two extra pirate ships? Try to recruit some more gods out at sea?I think that's the best course of action. It's a risk, but I think it's a better use of our time than trying to recruit more pirates.
Rolled 9>>30754863Either as our captain or as a information he will serve. Either as a link to Zaan or some intel on lintha. If neither are forthcoming to our satisfaction he dies. Also you are a bloody murder maniac too, but my murder maniac so i thrudt you on him, but i belive we can milk some use out of him a bit. If not he is yours.
>>30754863>Tell Tia she can get rid of him>Ask her to stay with youShe seems to have a much better handle on how to do this than we do. I don't trust our ability to do this alone after that display. If she thinks she can help, we should let her.
>>30754863>>Persuade Tia to keep him alive for nowCombined with>>Tell her you best split up and recruit people independently>>Ask her to go get Mikahil
Rolled 5>>30754942aren't the ocean gods absurdly powerful jealous women?
Rolled 8>>30754933>If the day goes well, we'll have a whole fleet of ships and crew and a port away from Tianna. It's not just 'powerwanking'.No, we won't. This is a tiny port village that a small handful of pirate ships visit, all of whom hate each other. There's no 'fleet' to be had, let alone had by us.Just because you want something doesn't mean it's even there to be taken in the first place. The only pirate 'fleet' in the area is the Lintha one in the opposite direction of where we are.
>>30754863>>Persuade Tia to keep him alive for now>>Tell her you best split up and recruit people independently
Rolled 4>>30754942I think the local sea gods are storm mothers, the woman hating, bad ass, malevolent deities. If we want an alliance with them, it's gonna be Mikahil who'll be taking point there.
Rolled 3>>30754948what does this even mean?
Rolled 6>>30754942>Water/sea god So much this. And tia as our bodyguarrd in case of smbus since we are low on essence. If we are here on pirate hunt might as well get another decent god on our team
Rolled 5>>30754863>Tell Tia she can get rid of himand have her stay with us. We need to go to the other major captain, he probably has someone who would make a good captain
Rolled 4>>30754958That's the Storm Mothers. We should definitely avoid those. The ocean gods, though, really like pretty women, because the Storm Mothers cause them to see so few of them. If we could get one of them on our side - well, just imagine. It's an island - a well-aimed tsunami could sort out a lot of our problems.>>30754979No, those are the storm/weather goddesses. And they're present throughout the entire West. The best we can hope for with them is that they just ignore us instead of trying to Jealous Girlfriend us to the bottom of the sea.Ocean gods, on the other hand, would be super useful.
Rolled 10>>30754959That they hate each other is irrelevant since we're just press ganging them or making them privateers, as long as they stop raiding Tianna's merchant ships it will be a day well spent. And any more than 3 ships is a fleet. Though yes, you're making a good point about better things we can do with our time, though if we want to impress Talon, showing up with a whole bunch of pirates seems to be a good way of doing it.
>>30754863>Persuade Tia to keep him alive for now>Ask her to go get MikahilLet's cut our losses and search for gods with Mikahil. I do not know much about gods in Exalted so I tend to mentally shove that option aside.
Rolled 3>>30754996Oceangod get.Perhaps one or two more ships do we can haul a batalion on sea and have mortal arrow suport for our ocean god.Once it is known a solar is hunting pirates with join or die they might run away leaving us with few ships to assault the lintha
Rolled 5>>30755018I think Talon is deceptive in his motivations. He's a Changing Moon, which is the Social caste of Lunars. I think he respects cunning, alliances, and charisma a lot more than brute force, despite being a big dude.Which is why he was the one dealing with the quarry in the first place - he was trying to fix a political faux pas.I think he'll appreciate alliances with gods a lot more than a bunch of scared, bullied murderers we press-ganged.
>>30754863>Tell Tia to put him downSeriously, he's unusably crazy.>Ask her to stay with youWe have one essence left and our scene long soak charm just shut down. We're vulnerable as fuck out here right now.
Fucking kill him or let Tia do it.She is right
Rolled 2>>30755044>I do not know much about gods in Exalted so I tend to mentally shove that option aside.Gods are basically animistic spirits, like the Kami of Shinto, the spirits of North American Indians, and the Celestial Bureaucracy of Chinese Folk Religion.Everything has a god. Some of those gods - like the god of a specific sea shell, for example - are so tiny and insignificant they don't even have thoughts and self-awareness. Others are so big and badass they're as remote and non-responsive as those of most fantasy settings - the Unconquered Sun, for example. Most, however, are in between. They're gods of specific mountains or rivers. Gods of a city. Storm gods working for the Weather Bureau in Heaven. And so forth.Tianna already has a strong alliance with their City God - which is incredibly useful, powerful, and important for a city to have. We made a nascent alliance with Dancing Smoke - that's another great one, since she's the goddess of the main volcanic mountain on the island. As a Zenith, we're automatically a high priest of the Sun, who is the boss of all the other gods. That makes us extremely well-equipped to issue official prayers, negotiate directly, and manage cults and festivals of godly allies. The only other caste that even comes close is Eclipse Caste, and that's because they have diplomatic immunity in the spiritual realms and can magically seal any promise or oath.As luck would have it, we currently have an Eclipse helping our Zenith.
Rolled 9>>30755068Agree.>>30755061Hmh. True. Have not seen it like this as i was thinking of having a multifunctional actionplan that is good at fucking lintha and starting our mortal following too.Still some mortals that are somewhat skilled and can act as ablative armor might come in handy as well as a naval option. But yeah, seagod get asap
Rolled 10>>30754863>>Tell Tia she can get rid of him>Combined with>>Ask her to stay with you
Rolled 4>>30755124To additionally clarify, in most other settings, Exalted's 'gods' would just be called 'spirits.' Aside from the head bosses of Heaven, the gods of Exalted are not even on the level of the Greek Pantheon. They're barely on the level of most exalts. For example, the world's dominant organized religion is the Immaculate Faith. What they do is officially regulate who gets worshipped on what day to make sure gods have a regular salary without starving to death. When a god steps out of line, they send a martial arts monk to kick their ass until they get back to work. The dominant faith in Creation is literally a negotiating union for managing godly labor agreements. That should put some things in perspective.
>As luck would have it we currently have an eclipse helping our zenith.Where is he then? I thought we let him run to his thing on Coral?
Rolled 4So, I think the general consensus is to sail out and try to broker an agreement with some kind of ocean god to help us hammer the Raksha with waves while Dancing Smoke hammers them with magma or some shit.Is that accurate?
>>30755124>can magically seal any promise or oath.Actually, I had completely forgotten Mikahil can do that. That is just what we need right now to resolve this situation with Yagate, far better to bind him than to kill him. I really wish we got HSDD instead MRP.
Rolled 4>>30755173I think we should talk to other pirate
Rolled 3>>30755157>The dominant faith in Creation is literally a negotiating union for managing godly labor agreements."I'm sorry, but you're going to have to go through my union rep for me to accept that prayer."
Rolled 9>>30755185See my picture's file name.
Rolled 3>>30755173there's that other major pirate captain we should talk to first, then yes
Rolled 6>>30755100Leaning on get it over with him if he doesnot repent now or speaks something to show something we can use.>>30755124I was somewhat focused on doing some nascent empire or church building preparation with getting some useful mortals we can use to augment tianna against the lintha if they sirvive but the godtalk seems more and more atraktive for raksha situation and augmenting our allies against the linta by comanding and controling the waters they will sail in. A trap for them when they come to sink tianna and our naval buildup leaving their local base open for invasiion and raids
>>30755173Yeah, but let's first talk with the other captain in port if he is still there. And get Mikahil to bind an oath between us and Yagate so we can put this behind us for the time being. When the Raksha thing is done with we can simply HSDD him into obeying us for our inevitable assault on the Lintha.
Rolled 2>>30755209Dealing with gods is an extremely powerful choice for a Zenith/Eclipse. Specifically, a Zenith's best course of action - generally speaking - is to secure alliances with gods by offering them roles in an organized religion with the Zenith as a high priest (gods love Zeniths organizing prayer because they're so damn good at it). Zeniths are also at their best when organizing their own personal cult. So, for example, you know that festival we're going to throw for Dancing Smoke? We're going to have a Social + Zenith + Majestic Radiant Presence of 10 for that particular oiled-up nude-dancing prayer to her. That's like sending someone a bottle of good wine, a suitcase full of unmarked bills, and a big kiss on the cheek for good measure, not the mention the ego-inflation.We've also said she might have some role to play in our home city which means, to her, that we might be scoring her an official and permanent place of worship and power tied directly to the cult of a fucking God-queen of the sun.Aside from that, all gods are essence-users with useful charms. Not always useful for battle, sure, but even a field god can give your homeland good crops. So, yeah. We should be getting godly allies and cronies. Mortals too, of course - we still need cannon fodder, a cult, subjects to benevolently protect, and so forth. But as far as powerful allies and profitable alliances, gods are the way to go.
>>30755265kill Yagate, bind the first mate
Rolled 3>>30755265>>30755180Sounds good to me. Deal with the last captain in port, then sail out to try to secure friendship with an ocean god.The ocean god will be insanely useful for when we finally take down the Lintha too.
Rolled 6>>30755173One more ship perhaps too and this town , but yeah god. We have sharkboy ship put the xo in conand in our name. He shoould be ok with it after tia vets him. Then we take the other free ship in port board it into submission withou charms and tia and mikhail as sypport and sail out to get ocean god. The retur to take over the town and go to azure lake to join up.Now that we started on pirates we should somewhat get it done right on sone level
Rolled 4>>30754863>Persuade Tia to keep him alive for nowI think that a humbled captain we keep around as an example is more useful than a dead man soon forgotten.>Ask her to stay with youWe're going to need her protection. We're starting to run seriously low on Essence now.
(Votes are about 50/50)"...Tia?" You ask her after considering the situation after a bit."Yes?" She asks."...I'm thinking you might be right about this Yagate guy being crazy and dangerous. But I can't just kill him at this point.""Why not?" She wonders, clearly not understanding."Because, for once, I just said I need him alive. I can't just go back on that." You explain. She nods."Also... As crazy as he is, I need him. He can captain a ship, and he has the loyalty of his crew. Also... he's a god-blooded. He's going to be useful against the Fae.""Not if he stabs your back while you're busy against them." She points out. "Besides, I don't think he's going to heal fast enough to be useful against the Fae.""He could be useful in the long-term?" You wonder. "...Nah." You answer yourself. "He's clearly a bloodthirsty pirate. I don't think He can be reformed into something less... harmful to society.""I'm sure there are better pirates around here." She grins, and nods to herself like she just had an idea. She puts a hand on your shoulder. "...Leave him to me. I'll handle him. You focus on the other pirates. Get some smart ones. I'll handle the stupid ones.""...What's your idea?" You ask her, but she just widens her grin. She has way more teeth, than a normal human should, and you're sure that they were a lot less a moment before. "Just trust me.">Let Tia do her thing and say that you trust her.>Tell her to just let it go. >>30755294>Let Tia do her thing and say that you trust her.>Try and contact local godsThis whole pirate thing is largely a bust, let's have our Zenith do what Zenith do best. Grab Mikahil first if necessary and if he's willing to come.

Rolled 9>>30755294>Ask her to explain her plan in detail before you approve it or refuse it.If we take actions from a place of ignorance, we might blunder into each other and mess each other up. A husband and wife should always be completely open with each other to guarantee they act as one.>Try and contact local godsThat will honestly probably be the most useful choice. My backup vote is to look for the final captain, if I get outvoted on this one.

Rolled 6>>30755351Tia is gender/sex-fluid. She can be a husband if that's what she wants.
>>30755373But wife and wife is cuter. Who cares what they do in bed.
>>30755373She seems to see husband and wife more as a rank and duty thing than as a gender thing. If she's the one doing the providing and protecting, she's the husband.Being the husband may also involve being on top every night.
>>30755294>Let Tia do her thing and say that you trust her.>Try and contact local gods
Rolled 4>>30755352Ship crew first. They have no captain as of now.
Rolled 8>>30755392See:>>30755397It's not about what they do in bed, it's about Tia being inherent gender-fluid - including gender role fluid - and she seems to want to take a husband role. There's nothing wrong with that.
>>30755397nah, I think it's literally because she wants us to be husband and wife. She said us being husband can be arranged, so it doesn't matter who's who. She's just been stuck in a really weird world, probably hunted down by the Realm just because she got something extra thrown on her soul. All she wants is one piece of a normal life
Rolled 8>>30755397>>30755430She is happy with us as husband too. There is a reason she takes on a female form as a rule
>>30755294>Let Tia do her thing and say that you trust her.>Handle Yagate's crewIf we win them over, there'll be less to be upset over whatever Tia does to Yagate
>>30755450>implying homosexuality isn't normal in creation
>>30755430Huh, I thought protecting and providing were rolls that generally fell to women in exalted, hence her body guarding us in female form.
>>30755430>and she seems to want to take a husband role.Sure there's nothing wrong with that, but there's no particular sign that she was personally very interested in being the husband - as far as I remember she was more than eager to give Maka the title for example. It's always come up as 'husband and wife' as a social construct, rather than her personally having any investment in the role, from what I remember.
>>30755474I'm pretty sure sexual dimorphism exists among mortals. It's just totally irrelevant once you reach heroic mortal or exalted tier.
>>30755470not a heterosexual relationship. She wants a traditional marriage, I think
Rolled 10>>30755487Right, but Maka doesn't seem to want to be a husband, which makes that role go to Tia.
>>30755520Actually, I just think she wants kids and is trying to get us thinking along those lines. The actual structure of the marriage doesn't seem all that important to her.
clearly we need to talk with Tia tonight about what exactly she wants in this relationship, besides being together
"...Alright, Tia. I'll trust you." You reply. She gives you a quick kiss. "Thank you. Maka."She pulls back, hesitates, and then gives you another one, longer than the first. Then she pulls back, hesitates, and- "Uh, Tia.""Right, right. Business first." She turns and leaves, jumping out of the (closed) window of the establishment. You take a deep breath. Time to get things done on your part, too.You sit down to a moment and re-evaluate your situation. Bit by bit, around you, the whorehouse comes back to normal life as the patrons and employees return after the panic.Everyone now gives you a wide berth, which doesn't contribute to a relaxing atmosphere, but gives you time to think. You were mostly working for the idea of gathering followers for long-term plans. That's why pirates and seamen. But there are two problems with this approach, as Mikahil tried to point out. The first is that, well, you don't really have anything to offer to them. You don't have vast riches or... any logical reason they should follow you except for promises, or threats, or your rather revealing attire. And in the long-term, people need to eat and drink and sleep and have comforts and a place to call home. You can't provide that right now. You wonder how you'll do that to Sareni's crew as well. You'll have to figure out something. The second problem is that the day after tomorrow you're going to attack a Fair Folk nation and you're not sure how much pirates can help with that. Maybe, until this problem has been taken care of, you should focus on gaining supernatural allies. And since nothing of this place makes you think there might be some Exalted around (and you guess by now they'd have revealed themselves: you DID cause quite some commotion), you're probably going to have more success in working with the local spirits.
(Mental + Twilight = 2 5 9 1 = 1 success)You have to admit you're not sure how to proceed. You consider your options:>Try and contact a local sea god (or a nature god)>Try and contact a local god of sailing (or a humanity god)>Try and contact a court of water elementals>Try and contact the souls of the dead at sea>Try and contact someone else (who?)
>>30755667Either a court of water elementals or a sea god.
>>30755667>Try to contact a local sea god.Not the Storm Mothers.
>>30755667>>Try and contact the souls of the dead at seaLess hard to rally than a sea god and they'll probably be pissed as hell against the Lintha already.
>>30755667>Try and contact a local god of sailing (or a humanity god)
>>30755693>more pissed against the LinthaWhich is why we should save them for action against the Lintha rather than throwing them at the Fae.
So why do the people in the Exalted setting seem to hate the Exalted themselves? As I understand it they should be looking up to them like divine acolytes or something, unless I'm mistaken about how religion works in the setting.
>>30755693I don't want to try to rely on ghostly allies with Abyssals about.
>>30755719Because since the shogunate they were taught by the dragon blooded exalted that Solar and Lunar exalts were horrible
Rolled 4>>30755667>Try and contact a court of water elementalsOur best shot for now, sea and sail gods can wait till tomorrow. We need to have Mikahil back us up on this.
>>30755719>>30755739Which isn't entirely unwarranted, since the Solar Exalted did do a lot of horrible things in the First Age because of the Great Curse laid on them by the Primordials in their defeat (which no-one canonically knows about).
>>30755739So do others get a free pass?
>>30755719Same reason people are scared of superpowered people in some superheroes settings. They're so powerful that normal people can feel threatened and defenseless when in their presence. Imagine being the only one who has a modern-day tank in a medieval setting.
>>30755765No-one really knows much about the others.Abyssals are new, Sidereals make a point of not being found out in the first place, and Infernals are the boogeymen in the closets.
Rolled 3>>30755719They used to.Back in the day, Solars were the god-kings of Creation (after killing the fuck out of the Titans who came before the gods and created the world). The Lunars were their lovers and right-hand dudes, and the Dragon-blooded were their generals and cronies. But the Solars went mad with power - as people are prone to do - so the Dragon-blooded murdered the shit out of them, chased the Lunars into the Wyld, and started a religion that (despite being largely beneficial and useful) said that Solar/Lunar exalts were demons who stole magic from the Sun/Moon and each people's souls to use their bodies at meat puppets. That's why people tend to call us 'anathema.'That's why Amata was scared and trying to make sure we were still Maka, for example.>>30755765Nobody knows Sidereals exist and the Dragon-blooded were the ones who started the lie in the first place. Abyssals and Infernals are just corrupted Solars and, as such, are covered by all of those same rules. Not that most people should even know Abyssals and Infernals exist - Solars just started coming back a few years ago.
>>30755765>Dragon blooded are the ruling class so it's fine>alchemical are stuck in Elsewhere being 8 seal and in a dying autobot>Sideral are pretty much happy of concealing their existence>Abyssal are too new to be largely known about>Infernal are about the same as Abyssal but even rarer
>>30755667>Try and contact a court of water elementals
Rolled 4>>30755667>Try and contact a court of water elementalsSee, guys, that's why we need a cult. Resources and stuff for free.I guess we'll have to raid some realm ships or attack one of their outposts for money
Rolled 7>>30755883>See, guys, that's why we need a cult. Resources and stuff for free.A cult also helps as a bargaining chip with gods. 'I'll have a massive celebration for you led by myself personally to let you reap the full benefits of my cult' is a big fucking deal.Hell, if we beat back the fae and secure an alliance between the Three Rivers and Tianna leading a small army of water elementals and the island's biggest goddess, we might even get that cult. We've got to earn it before we can cultivate it, though.
>>30755883Or we could claim that island next to Tianna and three river, build a trade post/city and get free taxes.
Rolled 1>>30755965We don't have the business savvy or administrative talent for that. Nor any infrastructure-building stuff. That's Mind/Eclipse and Mind/Twilight, respectively. We're much better off being the leader of an organized faith - that's Social/Zenith.
>>30755965...why would ships stop on a recently-built port without any infrastructure yet and with nothing to offer that can't be offered by Tianna, a huge, well-developed city just a few hours away?
>>30755998Because it's neutral ground.A) Three River doesn't want Tianna people on their territoryB) We can offer an alternative to Lintha infested water
Rolled 6>>30755998Is Azure Lake that single hex of water off towards the fae territory?
Rolled 6>>30756037The QM just called your plan fucking stupid. Which it is. Have the good sense to drop it.
>>30756059The QM asked me what a newly built trading post could bring, it isn't the same.
>>30756102You are completely missing the tone.By asking with that phrasing he is indicating that the answer to the question will be "nothing".
Rolled 10>>30756102No, that was a leading question. The QM was saying 'ships won't stop at a recently-built port without any infrastructure and nothing to offer that can't be offered by Tianna, a huge, well-developed city just a few hours away.'An important part of that is that Tianna is just a few hours away. That location isn't in a convenient place for anything, and we don't have any advantages to personally offer for the purposes of business administration or infrastructure construction.
>>30756139We offer them a new market, the Three River tribes which wouldn't be accessible otherwise. There's plenty of use for a city with less regulation than Tianna.
Rolled 10>>30756163Not that close to Tianna nor with a TOTAL LACK OF INFRASTRUCTURE. You're pointing at a piece of wilderness just a couple hours from a major port city and saying 'Well, shit, this is a great place for a port city to instantly be! That's totally a niche that isn't filled yet!'
>>30756163You do realize that we are in the process of opening up the three rivers tribe to Tianna? Now, if the answer was "We found a Jade/gold/iron deposit and want to ship it out" then you might have a point, though it wouldn't be a quarter the size of Tianna.
>>30756215Does iron and gold even exist in Exalted?

(Social + Zenith = 4 3 4 7 1 6 6 = 1 success)You have to admit you're really a bit out of your depth when it comes to gods and spirits. You know some basic stuff, but there's much that's a complete riddle to you.But you think you can handle some water spirits. There should be some in any large body of water, right? You don't know anything about the spirit of the island, Amata asked you to leave the city god alone (and you're far from the city anyway), and you doubt this village has any deity of note. And what you heard about sea gods is mostly colored by your perception of Storm Mothers, and you're not sure you want to tangle with them. Yet.You head out of the whorehouse and into the street. It's about noon, and the midday sun is scalding hot. Most of the village's inhabitants are probably indoor, because the roads are empty. You walk up to the docks, wondering how you could try and contact a local court of water spirits.Standing on the edge of the water for a few minutes, you clear your mind and breathe slowly and deeply. It's probably best to not think too much about it, and act by instinct. You remove your tabard, leave it on the wooden walkway of the pier, and dive underwater. You take a long swim, entirely underwater, leaving the island behind you and letting your castemark glow and light the dark bottom of the sea.You surface, finding yourself a few kilometers offshore, in the middle of the sea, dragged by the currents perhaps. if there are elementals here, they don't seem interested in talking to you. You'll probably have to use your powers to get them to come out of the sea.>[Talking to the Heart] Try and conjure the local Elemental Court.>Save your Essence, give up and swim back to shore>Other? If trying to conjure them:>Perform in their honor>Demand their attention>Make promises>Offer yourself seductively>Threaten them>Propose a deal

>>30756605shouldn't we have gotten one essence back from the time we talked to the first pirate crew to the time we punched in sharkboys face then?
>>30756738Don't think so. Regaining motes can take a lot of time. Then again I don't think it's been established whether it's four hours or eight with EF's system.
(Social + Zenith = 10 8 8 2 3 8 7 = 6 successes)You decide to entice and attract these elementals, suffusing your body with glowing Essence and letting your castemark glow. You dive deep underwater, where the light of the midday sun barely manages to reach and the lights and shadows of the surface waves play tricks on your bronzed skin. You feel underwater flows of water touching you, caressing you in response. They dance with you, flowing with your movements, invisible but felt as subtle shifts in pressure. Underwater rivers of colder and hotter water brush all over you, playing with your hair waving in the ocean after your movements. It feels like you're being gently caressed and accompanied by countless, delicate hands all over your body. A horde of gentle lovers in silken gloves. The current kisses you, and air is exchanged into your mouth, bringing relief to your burning lungs. They want you to stay underwater. They want more, and you have no problem to give it to them.Slowly, bit by bit, your dance drifts to the bottom, where you hit a point where your senses are so overwhelmed by the sensations all over your body that you have trouble understanding if you're still underwater or in open air. The ocean feels welcoming now, like it's your natural element. Or, more likely, like the ocean itself, satisfied by your performance, is making your stay down here comfortable. You are gently made to sit on a seaweed-covered rock on the sandy bottom of the sea. The currents take shape and form around you, forming a crowd. Figures of sleek, young men and women, made from colorful flows of water under water, vast poofy masses of ever-flowing hair losing themselves into the sea. (cont.)
(going to AFK briefly, continuing this in a hour or so.)
>>30756787Resting at night lets us regen five points for eight ours, which comes to one point for two hours of rest. Given these rolls we should have the elementals well under hands after which spending two or even four hours to rest would be much recommended just so we can defend ourselves is something jumps out. Without motes we are as strong as a mortal. After that we can decide what to do.
Rolled 10>>30756849>>30756869Spectacular. With that roll, an invitation to fight by our side and visit our court - just as we visited theirs - should work quite well.

"We apologize for not welcoming you earlier, Princess of the Earth." A chorus of mixed male and female voices sings in your ear. "We were afraid. >>30758248The pirate bit is really more about getting them off Amata's list of problems.
>>30757915>or maybe laughing wounds?I wonder how he would simplify the rules for that. The minion acquisition would be useful, but we'd need to find a teacher, so not an option unless we befriend the Abyssals

With them gone her island gets effectibly bigger regardless since that was before not in consideration. But the island getting bigger by the entire fae land was probably part of the reason she agreed to our deal in the first place, even if it wasn't mentioned. If we had asked for her help in cleaning another island of fae, she would have probably asked for a lot more
>>30758348>General consensus is the day and night is fine, but more information about the land is needed before we can make an informed decision right? They're talking about fae land. They probably mean to claim the coastland and push it further inland. On one side, they aren't asking for much. On the other, it's true that mking this decision unilaterally might upset some people. Nothing terrible. Right? Probably. On the other side, while having a day-long sex marathon with a bunch of sea spirits isn't bad by any stretch of imagination, sea spirits and elementals are near the top of the "clingy jealous possessive spirits that might decide they never want you to leave their side" ranking in Exalted. (if you're wondering: Maka knows this, it's common knowledge in the west. Sirens luring fishermen out at sea and then drowning them so they can keep them as lovers forever and that stuff.)Of course, Maka is Exalted so that changes things. Right? Probably.>>30758257Things can always go wrong at any time, but "fucking your way to godhood" is definitely something that happens extremely often even in canon. (and, from a combinations of "how her stats are" and "how /tg/ decided to play her", seems like pillow arts are one of Maka's strong points)
>>30758520>Of course, Maka is Exalted so that changes things. Right? Probably.Seeing Tia in combat against the fae probably changes thatI mean, would you be suicidal enough to keep Maka from Tia?

>>30758520daylong sex match is still a go, but we're probably bringing Tia, and we definitely should offer that yearly festival thing. "I cannot promise you what is not mine, and there are others involved in this struggle. I cannot offer you land." You reply. "I can only give you what I do own, So I shall give you myself, for one day and one night, as you wish. For greater rewards, you will have to find consensus with the Three Rivers as well. Not to mention..." You hint with a grin, "...what the battle is not yet won.""...Indeed." After a bit of hesitation the spirit collective replies, probably too distracted to think of a counterargument. "We shall satisfy yourself with ownership of your body for one full day and night, then." Then, as if an afterthought: "...Will you be staying with us some more?"The rays of the sun are slowly getting dimmer in surface, you realize. "...Afraid not, spirits. I have other matters that require my attention. You can sense the displeasure, and parts of the current flowing on you actually getting a bit grabby, but you shrug off their grasp ad you break free, floating towards the surface. "We will meet again in two days on the shores of Azure Lake." You tell them. You bob back to surface. It's afternoon, and the sun is rapidly racing towards the sea. You rapidly swim back to shore. There are a lot more people around the docks, and you see that many are looking out to sea, specifically for you it would seem, as many, spotting your head, point at you and call others. It seems a barely-clothed woman brutally wounding one of the island's most feared captain while making outrageous claims, then stripping down to nothing and leaping into the sea apparently vanishing to its depths, then surfacing several hours later, draws a lot of attention. Without that, we start drowning/being crushed by natural pressure the second they stop protecting us. With it, they have to actually actively try to hurt/fight us, which we're actually pretty well-equipped to survive.

Don't think of it as a damage-adder.Against Extras, it also means you can Team Rocket them if you want to.
>>30759123Right now they are pretty friendly towards us and we do not have even a single reason to fear them. Maybe if we were heading somewhere really dangerous in the future, but not for these guys.
Gotta AFK for a bit longer this time (sorry if today's a mess), possibly for up to 4 hours. Feel free to discuss any game-related topic here. If thread dies please archive on suptg. In any case i'll finish once i'm back, either here or in a new thread.
Rolled 9>>30759131And how far does it knock people, just as an example?
Rolled 9>>30759166Exaltedfag said that water/ocean spirits/elementals are notorious for being possessive, clingy, psycho lovers - especially for drowning lovers who they feel are trying to leave them. So, we should definitely be concerned about the possibility that, after hanging with them for 24 hours, they'll release us from their custody... On the bottom of the ocean with no air.As a fringe benefit, it will also be useful for things like swimming in lava and never getting a sun burn, but the most pressing reason is because we don't want these water elementals to go 'psycho girlfriend' and try to drown us.
Rolled 9>>30759170threads bast bump limit and is currently on page 4, so it might be dead when you get back

Rolled 4>>30759250Yeah, if we could build some kind of refinery-manse in Dancing Smoke's caldera (dohoho) we could get our hands on some sweet Orichalcum artifacts.Unfortunately, Mind + Twilight is literally our biggest weakness, so that's never going to happen unless, say, Irene somehow end up with free time someday.I know it's in the /tg/ mindset to approach problems with invention, engineering, and infrastructure, but this character just plain can't.
>>30759208>So, we should definitely be concerned about the possibility that, after hanging with them for 24 hours, they'll release us from their custody... >>30759208But in that case, the problem is not really that we are on the bottom of the ocean, the problem is that we are surrounded by countless number of hostile water elementals. If they turn hostile they will kill us either way.
Rolled 3>>30759316It will cost us 8 experience points. We should have enough by the end of next session. That said, I don't think we should actually pick it up until we're going through with the 'get gangbanged for 24 hours by the ocean.' We can hold off for now and pick it up as needed.
>>30759341It will also be useful for fucking the volcano god in her vulcano
>>30759341I don't know, swamps can have a lot of natural hazards. Wild warped swamps moreso.
>>30759341I think it'll be good anyway. We can take naps in lava or at the bottom of the ocean when we need to hide from the Realm, plus underwater lovin with Tia.
>>30759316Given that we've brokered an alliance with water elementals and defeated the sharkman (whom Tia might turn into a loli) it might be enough to earn us 4XP for this session. >>30759392I thought Tiger Warrior was set at 4 Dawn and potentially had prerequisite charms?
Rolled 4>>30759331Not necessarily. If they don't have damage-boosting charms - which they probably don't because they're just regular elementals - the best they can really do is try to pull us to the bottom. And we're strong as fuck and an amazing grappler. Our biggest concern, ultimately, is the fact that at literally any time the elementals could, if they got offended, simply stop holding back the pressure and stop bringing us air. If they did that as we are now, we would just be completely fucked. If we picked up the charm that lets us survive any environment, we could at least fight our way to the surface, which is something we're significantly more likely to survive.>>30759354Also true. With this charm we could survive a cave-in, hold our breath forever, swim in magma, breathe naturally-poisonous pollen, survive lightning strikes, walk around in the frozen North completely nude, and so forth.>>30759378That's true. I'm not against picking it up now, I'm just specifically in favor of picking it up before we pay back these elementals.
>>30759396Why? We're only on page 5.
>>30759435OP is coming back in 4 hours, it will 404 before then
>>30759419>an amazing grapplerWithout the Solar Hero Style we are not that good. Does anybody know how strong the Raksha are? >>30759417EF said (3-4.)
Rolled 10>>30759468>Does anybody know how strong the Raksha are?Raksha Nobles tend to range anywhere from Dragon-blooded tier to Solar tier depending on whether or not they're in the Wyld (they're not) and fae mooks are just about on the same level as human mooks. And without Solar Hero Style, we're still tossing around 5 dice. But we would, of course, be using Solar Hero Style, Iron Kettle Body, and possibly the occasional Ten Ox Meditation strike if we were trying to escape from a jealous ocean. The trick is keeping outselves from getting drowned/crushed as a result of being on the bottom of the ocean - we don't, currently, have a charm to protect us from that.
>>30759515People, listen to this guy!
>>30759515Would Husband Seducing Demon Dance work on water elementals?
Rolled 8>>30759649Yeah, it works on anyone if we roll well enough. Why, do you want to mind control the local water court or something? Because that would put us in basically every other elemental's shit books unless they did some seriously grievous shit to us first.
>>30759649If it did they'd never let us leave.
Rolled 6>>30759649Husband Seducing Demon Dance doesn't make people follow our orders, it just makes them fall in love with us/our cause. If anything, it would make the water elementals MORE likely to be super-possessive of us, not less.
Rolled 4Since we go up we should ask for a towel right now. We are not staying wet.
