You are Shax Bonemurder, Raid Leader! You haven't led any raids in a while, actually. You've been dealing with all these gnolls. You finally talked to the big gnoll boss, some sorta crazy guy with a glowing orange eye. You think he really should relax, and take things easier because all that running around starting wars is going to wear him out. He isn't interested in your opinion, though!Oh! You also recruited an old gnoll tracker who wants to get out of here before his boss brings the entire Manderlin army down on him. You are having the same thought!>CURRENT RAID GROUP: http://pastebin.com/mZgVD5yH>Ability Tree: http://pastebin.com/aBfqv1vP>You've unlocked a new system! You know have points called I'm the Boss! points. When fate is trying to get you down, just remember to look fate square in the eyes and say, "I'm the Boss!">You can spend these points to boost a roll by 5, or to cancel out a crit fail entirely. You earn poitns by being a good boss! >Number of I'm the Boss! points available: One. First one is always free, kid."So, you goin' to ask me my name?"You were just going to call him "good boy" and "old dog" or something like that, but maybe that would have been too rude. "Sure, what do I call ya?"Gnoryrn Fetidclaw, at your service," he says with a theatrical bow. Maybe this old hyena is still light on his feet?"Nice to meet you, I'm Shax!" Now, back to business. What's the plan, boss?>Baily didn't want the sigil, and you don't really care about these gnoll inter politics. You're not sure these gnolls will listen to you, so it is time to leave.>Let's just take Bailey out. Cut the head off the snake!>Back to the other chief, give him the sigil, hope for the best.

You glance over at Fetidclaw. "Hey, new guy.""Yes?" He says, responding simply. Your other minions are sorta milling about close to you and talking about various things. It's good they are relaxed."What do you think about the Fiendpaw people? They told me they're interested in putting a stop to all this mucking about out here. Which I'd be all for," You stop for a moment, maybe talking about this in the middle of Bailey's camp isn't the best idea. Well, he didn't seem to care if people tried to overthrow him, really."Fiendpaw, eh? The chief there is a big guy. Strong. Maybe a little too arrogant. To be honest, I don't think I'd much like him being the big chief either," he thinks about his next response for a moment, before shrugging. "Well, ideally, it isn't my problem anymore."Yeah, well, it is still yours. You figure you ought to take the sigil to the Fiendpaw chief and be done with this whole business. It doesn't take you long to get Allonces picked up from the witch doctors, though apparently a more matronly one has been fussing over her the whole time. She chews you out for a good while about letting someone as nice as that get burnt up like she did. Clearly the old gnoll woman never had to talk to Allonces! Still, it is nice to see she'll be alright in a few weeks. With a golem being used as wounded transport, you head out into the plains.>Explore the plains a bit on the way to the Fiendpaw Camp.>We better not get lost! Straight to the camp.

The plains are wide, and there is untold amoutns of adventure out there! You could find endless treasures and excitement. The potential opens up before you, potential as wide and filled with life as these seemingly innocent plains themselves! It is a good thing you aren't an adventurer, or you'd do something crazy like explore them. You've got a job to do! You tell Gneb and Mr. Fetidclaw to lead the way to the Fiendpaw camp. It is quick going and you end up cutting through the plains quickly. Along the way Gneb seems to be trying to outdo Gnorym in various feats of tracking. You don't think the elderly gnoll notices, and if he doesn't he doesn't seem to mind. It doesn't seem like that is the sort of impression Gneb wants to get, though.Regardless, before long you are near the familiar copse of trees that mark the illusionary barrier hiding the Fiendpaw clan. You walk straight up to the chief's tent, brushing aside the flap and striding in confidently. "Hey! I got you your sigil thing." The chief seems to be lazing around on the ground with some weird rocks in front of him. He jumps up at your entrance and grabs his weapon, before relaxing at the sight of you."Ah, good," He strokes his chin as he walks towards you. "Still, you actually got it?" Making noises as if deep in thought he stops in front of you. "So, where is it?" You pull it out from your vest, revealing the strange metal disc to the gnoll chief. "Yes, that will work out nicely. With that, I can earn the respect needed to sway those old medicine men to a more reasonable path than assured destruction." This guy is awfully open with his thoughts for being some sort of conniving mastermind."So you promise not to kick up a fuss with these gnolls, then? I got stuff I need to do out there.""Yes, yes, of course. I have more important things to concern myself with than some human nation. So, is there anything else you want?">Well, IS there?
>>30438259guess we changed our minds then.
>>30438509You can always get to it after this camp, anon.Unless you somehow die here.

>>30438505Can you spare any gnolls to join my raid party?
>>30438505Tell him about our boss and if he wants to join up with them.
Alright. Writing I suppose!
You toss the sigil over. The gnoll chief catches it with a surprised look. You stetch and yawn before saying, "Well, if you feel indebted, let's just say you owe me one, 'kay?"The large gnoll frowns a bit. "I dislike owing favors," he says the last word with a disgusted sneer, "Are you sure you can't think of anything?"You shrug, "I can always use more raiders, of course.""Raiders? Oh, right. You said you're a raid leader." He paces back and forth for a moment, "Though I must admit, your group is rather small to be considered a proper raiding party.""That's not my whole group, silly. Most of them are back at the camp." The camp is the camp, obviously. "We've got a job to do. It's why I need you to stop kicking up so much of a fuss."The fiendpaw leader stops and looks at you, clearly interested. "A job? Who for?""My boss. We've got a whole huge group of people coming, and they need Manderlay to be off guard. I'm here to try and 'cripple their echonomay' for when they finally arrive.""Now that IS interesting. How large is this army?""Heck if I know.""Hm.""Why, you interested in joining?""I can't say I'm not intrigued at least a little.""Tell ya what, I'll have em send a emissary over to here to talk to you about things if you'd like?"The Fiendpaw chief nods, "Of course. I'd love to hear more about all this. As a gesture of good faith towards this joint effort, allow me to lend you some gnolls. I can't lose a full compliment, but if you can convince one or two to follow along, feel free." He flicks the sigil between his fingers, "As for this... We'll just say I owe you one, afterall."Well that went well.>Head into camp and try to find someone interesting!>Ask the chief for recommendations.>Get out of here and talk to Mr. Fetidclaw to see if he can scout someone out.

You think about asking the Fiendpaw chief about any notable guys, but you have a feeling in your gut that he'd just plant a sneaky spy guy in your group. You'd ask Mr. Fetidclaw his opinion on his fellow countrymen, but you're not sure that you just want another solid soldier. You decide to go looking for someone that stands out! Giving a few final exchanges of conversation with the Fiendpaw chief to be polite, you head out of his tent and into the camp proper. You wander around a bit, talking to various people. There was a female gnoll leading a group of small elementals around. She seemed interesting, and you got to talking about various things. She said she had some kids in camp, and couldn't really take them on an adventure with you. You don't know what gave her the idea you were adventuring. And you hope her 'kids' weren't the tiny elementals. Still, it was nice talking to her.A group of medicine men were sitting in a circle talking about various things and you sat down with them. They ignored you at first until you started joining in their conversations. They tolerated you, but your incessant questions eventually made them mad. It got awkward so you left.Mr. Fetidclaw told you about a young hot-shot hunter in this camp, but after the trip here and listening to Gneb and Mr. Fetidclaw you can't think of anything more boring than listening to two trackers talk about bows or whatever, so you make excuses to get out of talking to an upstart hunter guy.
>>30439962There was a glitch in the matrix. We tried to spawn the same NPC 3 times. OP is trying to fix the system.
You're about to give up on this whole camp thing when you see a tent on the edge of camp. A large cat with shadowy fur under his eyes and big tufts of fur in its ears is sleeping lazily outside of it. There are two huge totems in the ground, and everyone seems to be avoiding it. Now this is interesting! You head over to the tent. Gnoryrn gets uncomfortable as you approach. "Err, Shax, this place is a skinshifter's hut. They're valuable to the camp, but they don't really get along with people." The mystery deepens! You've got to check the place out now!As you approach the tent, the big cat sits up and regards you with a calm countenance. You feel your skin crawl, as if you're treading on dangerous ground. Not to be deterred, you flip the tent entrance open. Inside a young gnoll surrounded by hides and strange vegetables sits calmly. He opens his eyes and looks up at you as you enter. "Hello, little goblin, what brings you to my tent?"You plant your sword in the ground and put your hands on your hips, "I'm looking for someone interesting to join my raid. You're interesting, right?" You're pretty sure he is, but maybe it is just all for show. The gnoll laughs as he stands up. "I suppose that depends on who you ask," he responds, giving Mr. Fetidclaw a pointed look. "I, personally, think what I do is perfectly normal.""And what is it that you do, exactly? What the heck is a skinshifter?"
The gnoll waggles his eyebrows and gives you a quick grin before veering into a brown bear. Wow. Bears are really fuzzy, so you've always liked them even if you have never seen one in person. They're kinda scary in person... A few moments later the gnoll changes back to his regular old hyena-man self. "They're simply referring to my ability to do that.""That's really neat!" If you could turn into any animal you'd probably turn into a mudfish so you could enjoy lounging around in cold mud all day, eating whenever you like and generally not worrying about anything. That'd be nice. "Why don't people like you? I'd rather have a bear as a friend than an enemy.""Me too," The gnoll says with a chuckle, before giving you a serious look, "And I stay with these Fiendpaws because they are not actively burning the plains down in search of power. Not that I have anything against that, but, the current method is a little short sighted.""Well, I've probably got that under control," you say with overwhelming confidence. This guy can turn into a bear! You've got to have him. "Say, wanna join me instead of all these gnoll guys?" Beyto said to never sound too desperate when you want something from someone. You clear your throat a bit, and lower your voice a few octaves to sound less eager. "I, uh, mean. If you want. I don't care."The skinshifter laughs, not a whiny one like all the other gnolls, but a more wheezy one. "You've got it under control? Mind telling me how." You give him the short version. His eyes widen during the story. "What? Show me what you can do with that sword, then."You pick it up and swing it around effortlessly, outside the tent of course. He observes you carefully. "Are you sure you gave the sigil up? I still feel some elemental influence on you.""Oh, that is probably what the rock guy did for my sword." "What."You give him the short version. Again.
"Okay, what is going on here?" This question is pointed to Mr. Fetidclaw.Your gnoll tracker shrugs. "First I've heard of any of this." The skinshifter looks at Gneb."Hey, it's all true." This time he looks at Mani."Don't ask me, this little goblin girl has been busy."The skinshifter ponders for a moment before giving a wide smile. "You called me interesting, little one, but perhaps you're more interesting by far. I think I'll come along for a while, then."Yay! New party member! Oh, right, don't want to be rude. "What's your name, Mr. Skinshifter?""Urao'ark Bearbreath." You look at him. "No, that is not a nickname."Let's get outta here! You set out to find something that catches your interest, telling people to keep an eye out for brass stuff in particular. Bearbreath says he is a 'druid' which is something you're pretty unfamiliar with, but you've heard of before. He says his lynx is a 'staunch and constant companion,' which everyone has pointedly not commented on, and that between him and his companion they can sniff out some anything unusual there is to be found. With Gneb and Mr. Fetidclaw working in tandem, you make good time and avoid any trouble. You skirt the scorched fields but don't manage to find anything particularly interesting, involving that, unfortunately. After about a day, you give up and head home. The trip back is uneventful, and you honestly you're feeling pretty tired of all this adventuring business. You just want to curl up on your sword in your creepy bone basement and sleep all night. But not snore. You don't snore, after all. That reminds you, you haven't checked on Allonces in a bit, and you find that Bearbreath has been looking after her. He mentions he has some restorative magic that should keep the scarring way down. She'll probably be happy about that, you guess. Some more time passes, and you finally find yourself back at home. Milda is back up and running, and she says she's had her hands full convincing the raid you weren't dead. Several boys are visibly distressed when they hear what happened to Allonces, for SOME reason. You ask if the group from the main army has gotten back yet, and they apparently haven't.What's the plan boss?>Let's relax for a little! Hmm, you are worried your raiding skills are getting rusty. More importantly, you are worried your boy's raiding skills are getting rusty! You wake up extra early and yell at everyone to form up. You're going to take the full raid this time, bringing all the boys! You tell Whoop to look after Allonces, because you know Whoop can take care of himself and you haven't seen what Bearbreath can do yet. Gotta try and break him in.You go over your targets. You're going to do a chain raid. Hit up some villages on the way to the Clock Tower. You draw a sweet map of the area and detail your raiding path. You dont' know if you can keep hitting one thing and getting away with it, and you know that if you take too long the Clock Tower will get a good defense up and running. That's no good! So you'll try to hit a nice big town on and a few small ones along the way, and then run straight back to camp. After that you figure sticking to farms and laying low will probably be your best bet. After you run through the battleplan with the boys, you stick a knife in the spot of your map that says 'Clock Town' with no small amount of theatrics. That ought leave a good impression! You're sure everyone is very impressed. As you start gearing up to head out, you look in on how the new guys are doing. It seems the goblins are all looking at Mr. Fetidclaw as some sort of mentor figure and keep bothering him, and the druid doesn't seem to get along with much of anyone yet. But there is still plenty of time for everyone to get used to them!======================Gotta run, unfortunately. We can do points at the start of next thread.
