Welcome to Academy city. The time is early morning, the weather is fine and the date is July 21.You are Kyril Torikov, a Level 2 Telekinetic Child Error and your sleep has just been interrupted. As far as interruptions go it isn’t altogether unpleasant. Just someone knocking at your door anyway. You’ve had more than a good night’s sleep though given what happened yesterday. It seemed like the whole thing went by like a breeze. You had awoken, downloaded the Level Upper, saw your teacher and found out in a bit of a roundabout way the one responsible for the affair. It wasn’t a confession though you still have a copy of the conversation on your phone. The knocking on the door isn’t getting any quieter and if it weren’t the start of summer vacation then you’d get up anyway. But questions ran through your mind as you groggily got up. Who the hell was knocking at your door? And was it really that important that it couldn’t be left alone for another five minutes or sixty? You’re a bit sleepy so you just answer the door. Standing at your door is a teenage girl?“Young sir I require your assistance.”>Yeah sure, let’s go.>Nope, back to bed.>Demand an explanation
Voting is 10 minutes, write-ins are encouraged and will be integrated as smoothly as possibleRolls will be 1d20, counting best of first three rolls, 1s and 20s are crit fails and successes respectively and take precedence. Counter rolls will be made if necessary.Previous thread: >>30168474
>>30215413>Yeah sure, let’s go.Can we get a description?
>>30215413>Standing at your door is a teenage girl?Wait, why is this a question? Are we not sure it's a girl?
>>30215413>>Yeah sure, let’s go.a complete stranger needs our help!
>>30215520You're a bit sleepy
>>30215413>Yeah sure, let's go"Right, let's take care of whatever it is before a line forms behind you."
>>30215552>You're a bit sleepyWe're that sleepy, okay, immediately helping her doesn't seem like that terrible of an idea.
>>30215413"Right, um. Sure. Who are you again?
>>30215413"Do I know you?"
“Right, let’s go before a line starts forming behind you,” you answer sleepily. She gives you a funny look before speaking,“Very well we shall depart now.”Grabbing your arm, she drags you away from your dorms. Part way through the whole journey your mind wakes up and you remember to introduce yourself.“Er, I’m Kyril Torikov, who might you be?”“Kanzaki Kaori,” she replies curtly. You’re still moving fast and are headed to one of the more secluded districts, the one with the railway freight terminal. The destination was a warehouse. It didn’t look to be in use since it was empty but it was in no means completely run down or anything. You also finally notice that Kanzaki is carrying a really long stick or was it a sword of some kind? Either way she stops at one end of the warehouse where a small chair and rope lay. You’re still in your sleep wear and have no personal effects on you.“Please have a seat,” she says cordially.>Have a seat>Ask for an explanation>Nope, not into bondage
>>30215819>Have a seatThrow the rope a good distance away before doing so though.
>>30215819>Ask for an explanation"While you're forced to stand? That'd be rude. How can I help you, Miss Kanzaki?"
>>30215819>Ask for an explanationThis is.. yeah. What was it that you needed my help with?
>>30215819Why exactly is this an outfit that doesn't pique even a sleepy Kyril's interest? Hell, a gorilla in a sailor outfit is less distinctive than>muh amakusa clothing magic
>>30215819>>Ask for an explanationAsk about her fashion sense and breakfast, god you are hungry.
>>30215819>Nope, not into bondage
Mental faculties at one hundred percent now, you gaze around you. There’s a chairs, there’s some rope, and she looks banging. If it weren’t for the morning wood, she doesn’t seem to mind it, you’d think she was kidnapping you and holding you for ransom. The only other logical explanation was this was one of those dreams and you’re actually asleep. Still it was better to err on the side of caution.“While you're forced to stand? That'd be rude. How can I help you, Miss Kanzaki?”She seems to ponder how to best explain her need for you.“I am not sure there is a way for me to put this gently so I shall be blunt. I am hunting the most dangerous game and I need bait. You may help me by sitting down in that chair.”“Is there a reason I’ve been volunteered?”“Yes. You were quite involved with my quarry, even if you don’t seem to recall.”“My memory was modified?”“I am no expert but it seems to be that way. It is the best conjecture I came up with through divination. Now if you would be so kind, please have a seat.”There you had it. You were being dragged in to something that you didn’t seem to recall. Now you’re live bait.>Have a seat>Suggest breakfast>Nope
>>30216423>>Suggest breakfastcan I get a last meal at least? Just in case?
>>30216423>Suggest breakfast>Tell her we might know someone that can restore our memories. From a meta-perspective, I just want to sit down and roll with this, but it just wouldn't really fit in-game.
>>30216423This is sketchy as shit. And Kyril isn't the plot-hand, so Kanzaki isn't exactly going to take it easy if he's being annoying.
Would we be able to cut rope if our hands are tied behind our back?
>>30216423What time is it for you & how long do you usually run these?I want to join in but it's already 20:40 in England.

>>30216770You mad man. The fact that you fuck your sleeping for us makes me want to stay up.
>>30216423>Suggest breakfast>"Bait for who and for what? It seems strange someone would bother to modify my memories when if they have that power they could probably just get rid of me in general."Also guys we've known the dictator for like a week and our guy is pretty damn paranoid. I don't think he would trust anybody to muck around with his mind.
>>30216770>tfw its just ten minutes till 3 in the afternoon....why do I feel like a jerk?
>>30216879>implying we would be bringing Kanzaki to the Dicktaker in order to let her use her power on us
If anything, she was polite so you didn’t want to push it. However you still had priorities and damn were you hungry. You’re a growing boy after all.“So, have any breakfast lying about? If I’m going to be bait I’d like to at least have one last meal.”“I suppose that is acceptable. While I am away acquiring breakfast, I would appreciate it if you stayed within the building and be seated once I return. If you do leave, I will know and I will be less accommodating.”With that Kanzaki leaves. If it were anywhere else you’d probably think she was a terrible hostage taker. In certain areas she still is, but then again you weren’t an expert at hostage taking. She must have confidence in herself and her abilities if she was leaving you unsupervised here anyway. There was the chair. It was standing there but you feel as if there’s something weird about it. Seriously, this chair. Around you there were other odds and ends. A metal rod here or there, stray planks and some broken glass as well as the piece of rope were lying about. The ceiling is a bit high up but you expected that of a warehouse but there are some metal girders up there.>This chair I shall sit on it>Engineer your escape>Wait patiently for breakfast
>>30216956>This chairget rid of the rope though, take mental notes for best escape route
>>30216956Drape the rope over the girders with TK and sit in the chair.Maybe Kanzaki will get it down and we can see what ability she has that she's so confident in.I know she's a saint, I just don't want to meta too hard.

>>30216956>Wait patiently for breakfast>>30217020Agreed there. Though right now I think he is more curious on exactly what she is up too and why she is so sure of herself.
>>30216956>Wait patiently for breakfast
>>30216956>Engineer your escape
>hide a shard of broken glass near the chair>sit on the ground, near the chair>wait for foodShe's being weird about the chair. It's obviously a trap.
>>30217377This. Trap. Should wait for her to come back then invite her to take a seat.
Well there you weren’t going to sit in the chair just because some hot lady told you. If you did you’d be easily taken advantage of. Moving the rope that you suspect will be used to tie you to the chair up in to the girders, you make sure to secure it up there by tying it up in there. It isn’t exactly easy but it was certainly easier than that stupid Columbus Egg exercise. The next thing you do is smash some glass to create an improvised shank that you slip up your sleeve. In the event that you would get tied up you’d have some way of freeing yourself. You’re still up and about when Kanzaki returns with some takeout. As it so happened there was a curry restaurant that opened really early up and she was able to acquire some. Though she didn’t say it, she seemed displeased that you didn’t sit in the chair by the time she returned. Breakfast was relatively silent but afterward you didn’t really have any excuses to make so you obediently sit on the chair. That was when you felt your body become constricted by near invisible monofilament razor wire. It wasn’t cutting you too bad but it was uncomfortable.“Please bear with it for a moment,” she apologises calmly.Oh the rope was a trap alright. The chair was a red herring.Would you like to switch perspective?>Stay with Kyril>Switch
>>30217525Right, because she definitely won't refuse to sit a second time. Just break the chair if you're the worried.

"So....you do this with any guy or is this a special occasion?"
>>30217920She already told us it was a special occasion.
The wait is long and the wait is boring. Kanzaki has ceased to be a conversation partner and has wandered around, moving her arms about as if casting a spell. She’s probably doing something with her wires you surmise. So that was where her confidence came from. It wasn’t exactly dark in the building but she managed to conceal steel wires around the place. You really didn’t see it coming but if anything it’d just take you longer to cut through the wires. You reckon it the time is now noon, the weather is sweltering hot and the date remains unchanged. That is when Kanzaki perks up as if something was headed this way. If anything you were getting rather tired of sitting on a chair. The one that enters is a young girl, wearing a blue-white school uniform. You think it’s one of those middle schools. Around her right arm is the Judgement armband.“This is why do not like your kind Anglican,” she greets Kanzaki.“I would say the same of your savagery Sikh,” Kanzaki retorts. Her attention is away from you and from the way the younger girl is looking in your direction, you surmise she has a plan.>Do nothing, she has a plan>Attempt to cut the wires (1d20)>Do something else (write-in)

>>30218255I think whether or not what we did is justified as self-defense is arguable, but the point is that we're involved even without our memories of gibbing Stiyl.
>>30218280Pretty much. The main reason that rolling two doesn't work that well is if one fails then the second roll is useless. Then assuming it does then there is a random roll ahead of time to look at and then the next two rolls only count instead of the normal three.

>>30218303Poor Stiyl. His role is always to get shat on by someone. No matter where he is at.
>>30218323What the fuck are you on about. Die one was to TK the wires around the room. It has zero bearing on cutting the wire around us. The second die is for cutting the wires. This is clearly indicated in the post.

Rolled 7With her attention taken away from you, it is now that you slip out your impromptu cutting implement and start sawing away at the wires. It’s slow going but you remain silent so as to not attract attention. You really hope that you were just some bystander to what is shaping up to be a private dispute between women. You’re also pretty sure the middle school girl was not your ex as far as you can remember but memory manipulation was involved so who knew how much you lost?“If you were any less ignorant you would be perfectly aware that there was no need to shackle the Index so,” the Sikh seemed smug.“Do not meddle in our affairs savage,” Kanzaki warns, “You do not know what you’re talking about.”Bringing her sword around, it was a nodachi, she unsheathed it just a bit. In between the click of it returning to her scabbard, you could see something whip through the air before it stopped and dissipated in front of the Sikh. Held in her hand was a dagger that seemingly shielded her from attack. Kanzaki merely snorted before intoning,“Salvare000, be the salvation of those that cannot be saved.”“Vajra108, I am the lightning that dispels ignorance and illuminates the dark.”You’re free.>Sneak out the back>Telekinetic Rabbit punch (1d20)>Make your presence known

Unless that second roll only counts for the second action called unlike the normal first rolls. It is a frightening thing you must admit. To see them go at each other with live blades and at the speed they were fighting. You are barely able to follow them with your eyes. Kanzaki, as you’ve suspected, was always attacking at unique angles with the multiple wires. However her sword is also tangled somewhere in that melee. The Sikh, unlike Kanzaki, doesn’t stay in place for long. She weaves in and out of the gaps between attacks her knife trailing behind her. Whatever Abilities being used here, it was suicide to even try to interpose yourself physically between them. Thankfully you have Telekinesis to do that for you.You had to get Kanzaki for tying you up and using you as bait for that crazy Sikh girl after all. It’s a solid you note and it does little but draw her attention. Seven wires descend immediate upon you but before they reach you hear the Sikh call out,“Embrace eternity.”The wires are stuck in mid air and so is your immediate area. Your mind goes blank save for a bunch of images that flash through your mind. The surge is painful, as if something had been accumulating before letting loose.[1/2]
Magicians are shit tier. They want science to be gone so that their magic is safe. What assholes. Espically the necessary evil chruch.Christians huh. What bullshit.
>>30219510You’re aware of yourself convulsing as if struck by an electric stun gun and falling to the ground. Someone of course is dragging you away from the battle but your eyes are firmly fixed on the Sikh whose left hand is no longer attached to her arm as well as a silver bangle. In her teeth she bites down on her dagger and holds the stumps with her other hand. Her eyes are sharp and defiant.“I see, a limited imposition of the concept of Eternity,” Kanzaki notes as he nodachi is finally fully unsheathed, “It is how you prevented him from remembering and stilled my wires.”The Sikh’s hand glows and you can smell burning flesh. Was she cauterising her wound? Kanzaki only steps in to deliver the coup de grace but she fails as the Sikh’s dagger was able to block the blow but not for long.It is there that you remember. Remember who she was, what her name was, what she did to you and what she did to that black robed punk. >>30219332> It is a huge stretch to claim that a roll for U would ever count for W.In that case then why are we taking the highest of the first three rolls? Instead of just the roll from the called for action? So far we have always taken the highest roll applied to the winning action. In the case that each roll only counts for what it's called for then it's not hard to just think of three-four random actions to roll for that could be useful. Roll each then decide based on which one gets closer to 20. >Rolling multiple dice at once changes nothing.Your pretty much saying that statically there is no difference in rolling two dice compared to one die if you're looking for a number of 15+ In one pair.

>>30219606>>30219576>>30219571This almost got us killed last time, and you retards want to do it again? Can we look at who-ever is pulling us, or would that disrupt the rails too much?
>>30219502It's a way to waste time in between updates. Not like anyone should ever read the random arguments in between anyway unless their idiots.>>30219539>Get whoever’s pulling you away to help. Or for that matter check who the fuck is pulling us away to start with.Going to laugh so hard if right after this the Sikh fucking erases our memories again.
>>30219792Comes with the third choice.
>>30219708There's nothing stopping us from rolling three times, not liking the results, and deciding to do something that doesn't require rolling instead. Rolling multiple dice at once is the same thing as rolling multiple dice separately.
>>30219792hey, I voted to sneak out the back the first time.brain erasing girl lost an arm over us, wouldn't sit right with me if we left her and we don't know if the mystery person will help us help her at all
>>30219824Except merely glancing at whoever's pulling us takes next to no time. Really, it's dumb to not have us do that automatically.
I don't know why we voted to attack her instead of just leaving. We agreed to be the bait and she got us breakfast. Did alright by us in my book.
>>30219856>brain erasing girl lost an arm over usShe fucked with our memories and got us kidnapped as a result. It's her fault she lost the arm.
>>30219883We never did vote to attack her. We voted to attack something.
>>30219904Agreed. That said, maybe she learned something as a result of losing that arm.I can hope, ok?
>>30219789Should mention this. Actually we already know she fucked with our memories before so I'm not sure why we should bother with either since they both are pretty untrustworthy. >>30219736He knows she seems rather likely to kill him without a second thought. Hardened killers wouldn't seem to care about nudity.
>>30219904Even still, we should not let her die.She isn't a mass murder or shit.
>>30219926Then why did we vote to attack?
>>30219926Hold up. I voted to attack her >>30218591. Not my fault that not everyone remembered to pick a target.
>>30219950personally, I think people will vote for the option to roll diceregardless of what the option is
>>30219991If this becomes an issue, I'll let people roll after a choice has been made.
>>30219943>She isn't a mass murder or shit.We don't know that. All we know if that both people her have taken hostile actions against us.
>>30220028Then why did she came for us?
>>30220052She came after Kanzaki. We happened to be there and are probably considered acceptable collateral damage.
>>30219839Now this is true. The main thing is with two it's possible check for all three notice all the first rolls suck ass then see a 20 on a second one. Then vote on it just because we are sure something good will happen. I won't deny we can just see the first three on the normal first rolls anyway. >>30219926Most people wanted to attack the saint for some reason.
>>30220048You're right, I fail to see the fun in getting rail-roaded into a fight between two people that want to fuck us over and are so far beyond us in power that we can't really fight back. I fail to see the fun in being denied basic information so we have to waste thirty minutes and a story post just to figure out shit that should've been provided in the first place.
What stake does Kyril have in staying here? This conflict isn't going to help him with his goal of getting his friend better, and unlike Touma he has no desire to help strangers.
>>30220112Then there's hardly be a reason to have bait
>>30220112Then why bait Kyril
>>30219943>Mass murderer We have no idea who the fuck this broad is other then that she can erase our memories and is in judgement. For all we know she could be literally Hitler in disguise. Right now I would be more worried about staying alive then the broad that mind fucked us and got us in the situation to began with.
>>30220133So basically you're buttmad because you're not getting what you want exactly when you want it ?Didn't think I was playing with a twelve year old.
>>30220116So rolling multiple dice does nothing, because we can change our answer depending on the dice results regardless.Rolling high guarantees nothing. We got an 18 to attack Kanzaki, and it didn't do a damn thing. Not that it should've done anything. Saint stronk. There were more votes with a targetless punch than votes punching Kanzaki. There were more votes for running than votes for punching Kanzaki.
>>30220133Eh, Not all that bad so far. We could have escaped most likely but everyone went for attacking. The only real railroady thing was sitting in the chair even though it was pretty obvious we would avoid that no matter what.Other then that everything seems to have logically progressed into something possible.
>>30220243I would argue that deliberately leaving out information that we should have counts as railroading. Kanzaki is absurdly distinctive. Even IC, it doesn't make sense for Kyril to see her and just think "oh a teenaged girl."
>>30220218The biggest change is it gives us two chances to get something done instead of just one. Sure we can change normally but 6 shots is better in general then 3. Mainly just because that second option can help the situation even if the first falls on its face.>>30220218It distracted the bitch. That's pretty good for a level 2.
>>30220305>It distracted the bitch. That's pretty good for a level 2It resulted in the other chick getting her hand cut off. Our impact on the fight actually helped the person we were attacking.>>30220305>The biggest change is it gives us two chances to get something done instead of just one.We can get stuff done without rolling dice as well.
“You know, if you'd just told me she was the one that scrambled my memories rather than wrapping me in monofilament, I'd probably be one a different side in this fight!” you manage to shout at Kanzaki. She doesn’t reply choosing to ignore you and continue trying to kill her opponent. Mustering your will again, you telekinetically lift her shirt up over her face. Once again, surprised by that brief moment, the Sikh, whose name you remember as Kaoru, takes advantage and slides away from the descending sword. Kanzaki merely rips free of her shirt only to find Kaoru tacking her to the ground, her dagger in her heart. Or it should have been.“That’s not enough to kill me,” she says despite the discomfort of having a dagger in chest.“No, but it’s enough to stall you,” Kaoru replies and turns to you, or rather the one pulling you, “Kamijou, hurry up and get him out of here. Remember the plan.”Kamijou? That Kamjiou? You hurriedly snap your head in his direction. You recognise the unlucky sod with his uniform, his spiky hair and his determined expression. You make to stand up and despite the difficulty in doing so, you manage.>“I’m fine Kamijou, we need to break up that fight”>“I’m fine Kamijou, you need to break up that fight”>Something else? (Write-in)
>>30220360>>“I’m fine Kamijou, we need to break up that fight”
>>30220360>“I’m fine Kamijou, we need to break up that fight”
>>30220360>>Something else? (Write-in)"So why is this all happening again?"
>>30220360>"I'm fine. We need to get Handless out of there!"
>>30220301Eh, There is a lot of weirdos running around the city. We probably should get more info then just teenage girl yeah but it's not really railroady unless all the other votes would lead to the same outcome. It's bordering right now but hasn't quite hit it for me anyway.
>>30220360"You know what the fuck is going on?"
>>30220333>We can get stuff done without rolling dice as well.Yep but typically if you roll it's for something big enough to be worth going high.>>30220360>"What and the fuck is going on here? Also should we really let them kill each other like this?"
>>30220360"If we get out of this alive, I want answers."
To the people voting to break up the fight, how exactly do you expect to do that? The chick just said that a knife in her heart will only delay her. Nothing a Level 2 can do will affect her and Kamijou is only a Level 0.
>>30220360"What the hell is going on?"/"I got out of bed early for this?"
>>30220537Whats even funner is Kyril has no idea what the fuck is going on since he wouldn't know magic exists and so far they have shown way more powers then the normal esper.
>>30220537We throw Kamijou at them. Either he breaks them up, or Crowley intervenes somehow to avoid losing his trump card. Then we hope Crowley doesn't decide we're a hindrance to his plans.
>>30220615Who the fuck is Crowley and why would he interfere with Kamijou's life?
>>30220537Basically, we'd threaten to tip the scales against one of them. The sikh must think she actually has a chance against Kanzaki, otherwise she'd have run by know.
>>30220615>Crowley Kyril has no idea who the fuck this guy is pretty much. That and Crowley almost never gives a fuck. Even when Touma was about 3 seconds from death.Right now I would be more worried about dying horribly to these random monsters then about the fight.
>>30220667He's a magic hermaphrodite that floats upside down in a tube with his own urine.
>>30220677That's just it. Neither Kyril nor Kamijou have anyway to tip the scales. Nothing they do will affect this chick.
>>30220615this post right here is the biggest problem I have when the quest happens in canon or something close to canon.meta gaming
>>30220679>Kyril has no idea who the fuck this guy is pretty muchYeah, but he also has no idea how horribly out-classed he is. That OP put it as an option means that it's a rational option for Kyril to take.
>>30220745I think he should figure out how outclassed he is rather quickly considering Kanzaki has a knife in her heart and doesn't seem to be all that concerned.
>>30220728Don't know that IC.>>30220735The idea that we can't hurt Kanzaki regardless of what we do is metagaming. So you're claiming that the biggest problem with these kinds of quests is meta-gaming in response to meta-gaming.I've always thought the pathological need to insert as many characters from canon into the quest or the prevalence for using characters from other franchises as new characters were bigger issues.
Question, how much can we lift with TK?Can't we just lift her?
>>30220745>he also has no idea how horribly out-classed he is.He can see the saint is moving faster then sound given her base speed. That and he can also see there is a Indian chick who just said getting her heart stabbed was a slight deterrent. He can move objects with his mind. This couldn't be more obvious as something not to fuck around with.
so why the shit are we being dragged off by touma or how the hell did we get dragged into this in the first place?i what?
>>30220816Of course he knows that IC. He threw a solid TK punch at the back of her head and she didn't even flinch. The only tricks left are tossing objects at her or trying to trip her, both of which have low chances of working. If stabbing her in the heart doesn't do shit nothing a Level 2 TK does will damage or distract her.
>>30220817Our upper limits was our own weight, so yes, I think we can lift her.
>>30220816the post I'm responding to is voicing an option in hopes that a character (Crowley) we have not seen or ever heard of will interfere.as characters from other franchises as "OCs", nothing I haven't seen a DM do. pic is my feelings on that.>>30220960I'd suggest pinching a blood vessel in her brain to inflict a seizure but I don't think level 2's can do that.its only the 6th thread and the playerbase is turning to shit already. How depressing.
>>30220960I'm not really sure why getting her heart pierced isn't fatal to Kanzaki. She's still human, and humans need a heart.
>>30220998So does she have any other kind of propulsion other than her legs?
>>30221050No, but Amakusa magic can do pretty much anything the writer wants it to, and Kanzaki's wires operate pretty much the same way.
>>30221050Maybe she could jury-rig the wires to "puppet" herself?
>>30221029I blame magic.decapitation maybe and if that don't work well fuck it man, Bail! IDK if it will escalate to that point.>>30221050maybe some more wires to anchor her or something...
“I got out of bed early for this?” you ask no one in particular, “What the hell is going on Kamijou?”He looks at you confused.“Short answer, it’s magic,” you mirror his look, “I don’t know how to explain this shit!”“Alright so that’s ‘magic’, do we really let kill each other like this?”“You’re right. We have to break up that fight, but how?”“Are you two seriously this stupid?” you hear Kaoru speak. Her knife is struggling against Kanzaki who’s still alive for some reason.“No, don’t answer that question,” she continues, “Kamijou, help me hold her down, Torikov get me my Kara.”Quickly Kamijou rushes to her and assists. Kanzaki struggles less but is still trying to wrench the knife out of her heart. You assume the Kara is her bangle that was cut off from her left hand and hurriedly retrieve it for Kaoru.“Alright, when I start speaking again you put her hand in mine alright” she instructs Kamijou as she holds the bangle with her pinky, with his nod she speaks again, “Embrace eternity.”Kamijou lets go and the two of them still save for their heads. Kanzaki looks furious for a moment but then she sighs and her face reverts to a cool mask. Kaoru is stiff as well but at least her face is calmer.“If that didn’t work we were all going to die, you know that right?” she asks Kamijou than she does you.“Can we talk without kill each other now?” you ask.Their heads are unable to move but they give you a look as if you’ve lost it.>You are free to ask questions
>>30221079>>30221084That's what the magic Sikh is for.
>>30221025I hope we never run across any of the female characters.
>>30221095"Who the fuck are you people?"
>>30221029>getting her heart pierced isn't fatal to Kanzaki. Saint bro. That and she isn't the one with a dagger in the heart. >That’s not enough to kill me,” she says despite the discomfort of having a dagger in chest.>“No, but it’s enough to stall you,” Kaoru repliesA saint most likely would break the dagger.
>>30221095Wait, we physically wrestled with Kanzaki? That's absurd.
>>30221095"alright one last time... WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!?!?!"
>>30221095>Talk with Kamijou, fellow bro and street veteranWTF IS GOING ON HERE?!
>>30221095"Man, it's just religion. Do Catholics, Muslims, Budhist, and Taoist do this to?"
>>30221095"Who are you people? Why are you fighting? What happened to the red-haired foreigner?"
>>30221095>>30221128>>30221156and this, please."Kaoru, I'd like an explanation that doesn't involve memory tampering afterwards. Kamijou, how the hell did you manage to get into this shit?"
>>30221129Ah. Wait I see now that is that one girls nickname isn't it? Forgot about that since she has the same nickname as the saints first name.>>30221095"Okay explain this shit to me? Magic what the hell? I suppose given esper powers exist such a thing is possible. Still explain exactly what is going on in small words."
>>30221095I think given the situation demanding answers is fully reasonable and if we don't get a proper explanation, just walk out.We don't know these people (aside from Kamijou) and we certainly don't care about any of them.
>>30221095"For real. Why the fuck are you two killing each other? Can't you talk or shit? What this about magic touma? That Magic exist and it a secret?
>>30221224We should probably try to resolve this so that we don't get attacked again.
>>30221148Pretty sure the Indian did that. If so that chick is pretty damn hardcore. If we did that then she could karate chop your head off by hitting our knee caps.
>>30221238We didn't really get attacked until after we punched Kanzaki in the back of the head. We actually came willingly and got a free breakfast out of it.
>>30221266Course we also got tied up right afterwards. Though I would still be more pissed off about going through our mind then much else.
>>30221266Of course given how absurd Kanzaki is, had we resisted, she'd just kick our ass and take us hostage anyway.
>>30221266We got out memory erased by one of them, and the other took us captive. I'd consider both to be hostile actions.
>>30221298Why did we help the other chick again? Kanzaki was very polite barring the tying up.
>>30221339She was presumably coming to our rescue. Then we learned she fucked with our memory.
>>30221339People wanting to punch things I guess? I kind of assume he defaulted to the person fighting his hostage taker because he couldn't remember it happened and all.

>>30221199Seconding this. We are a bit out of our depth.
>>30221429She did give the option of the more comfortable rope. All in all she was a very pleasant kidnapper.
>>30221918I don't know about you, but I'd rather have a kind kidnapper than some bitch who just erases our memories.
>>30221869It doesn't matter if she was world's most pleasant kidnapper. She still fucking kidnapped us.>>30221869They both need a good slapping.
“So for the last time, the fuck is going on? Seriously, Kamijou, how the hell did you manage to get into this shit?”“Long story,” Kamijou starts up, “Where do I even start?”“How about starting with your discovery of the Index on your balcony?” Kaoru suggests.“Oh that, well I guess I’ve saved a magician called Index who was on the run from,” he looks at Kanzaki, “Well I guess the Anglican here.”“I have a name and it’s Kanzaki Kaori,” the Anglican huffs, “I was sent here to secure the Index and make sure it is safe.”“Safe? She got slashed in the back by a sword. Was it you?” Kamijou accused.“To my eternal regret.”“Well that’s an Anglican for you, shoot first, ask questions later,” Kaoru snipes.[1/2]
>>30222021“And you?” you asked Kaoru.“I am duty-bound to protect the innocent and those who cannot protect themselves. It is because the Anglicans were planning on using violence on you and Kamijou that I intervened.”“Doesn’t explain the memory wipe though.”“I will not apologise for that. The secrecy of magic must be maintained. It was that or killing you.”“So that black robed punk was a magician?” at Kaoru’s nod you continue, “How does that work anyway?”“Magicians obtain powers through faith or religion if it makes it easier for you to grasp. We work on an entirely different system from you so our powers dangerous if used by Ability Users.”“Man, it's just religion. Do Catholics, Muslims, Buddhist, and Taoist do this to?”“I would say that theistic religions are the most involved in magic,” Kaoru explained, “And before you ask, I’m not going to erase your memory any more. Kamijou would just undo it.”You look at your schoolmate. He had that kind of ability huh?“If that is it then perhaps you should go back to your life and forget this ever happened,” she suggested. It looks like they wanted to have a private conversation, probably something regarding Kamijou and this supposed Index.>Stick around, try to learn more about magic>Bow out, your role in this madness is over

“No I’d rather see this through if you don’t mind,” you answer.“As you wish,” Kaoru acknowledges before speaking to Kamijou, “I believe you had some questions to ask the Anglican as well.”“Kanzaki-san, why do you need Index and is it related to her amnesia?” Kamijou asks her.“Yes, that would be because we periodically erase her memories,” Kanzaki speaks in clipped tones, “It is because most of her memory is occupied by her knowledge of the tomes in her head. She can only support so many more in her head so every year we must do this horrible deed.”“And you never once asked what she felt?”“What good would it do? She would forget us anyway. Do you know how many people have tried to make her remember? Did you think that we want to let go?” Kanzaki’s retort is pained.“Then we’ll find a way,” Kamijou assures.“The memory erasure ritual must be completed. If it is not then I fear the worst. It is to take place on the midnight between the 27th and the 28th. If you can manage to find a way then I would gladly give way for you. I would rather she forget us all and live than not at all.”[1/2]
>>30223143Tell her that memory doesn't work that way.I knew this before I even read index. Someone who lives and studies in Academy city would know of this. What about those with Perfect Memories? Eidetic memory. They don't deal with this shit.

You on the other hand are comparing them to Kiyama Harumi’s. Even with Kamijou’s shirt, she ties it up in her weird fashion.“Well I need a new left hand,” Kaoru pouts, “With the way I cauterised the wound I can’t just reattach it now.”After retrieving her hand, the four of you make your way out of the warehouse together.Episode 6 End.
