It's late by the time the movie ends, you check your watch and see the hour hand creepying towards ten when you and Miho emerge from the movie theatre. A quick glance around you doesn't reveal any of your teammates and, for the first time tonight, you're a bit disappointed. "What does does the ferry leave?" You ask Miho as you turn and head back towards the terminal. You are Commander Russells of the M26E1 Pershing heavy tank "Black Jack" and, despite interruptions and Saori getting Miho drunk, you'd say the date wasn't half bad- at least there was no blood involved this time. Heck, the movie was great too- and you aren't by any means someone that normally enjoys Disney movies- especially Princess movies. (Though you're somewhat disappointed that Kristof didn't get a chance to slug the prince from the beginning.)"Ten-Forty-Five." Miho says, after pulling the ferry schedule from her jacket. "We should start heading for the terminal- the next ferry isn't until after six tomorrow." The idea of waiting around a ferry terminal all night is all the motivation you need to quicken your step.>Wait... As you walk along towards the ferry terminal you pull out your phone. "Better start calling people, then." You say- starting a text for Richard. "Leave no man behind!" You declare theatrically before hitting the send button.Miho smiles as she pulls out her phone. "Or woman!" She says, trying to match your theatricality as she begins typing a message. "Saori's probably with Richard- I'll get Yukari!" "I'm here!" Yukari says jogging up behind you. "How was the movie?" She says with a broad smile- she's a cool customer."Wonderful!" Miho says. "I loved it! What have you been up to?" Sitting twenty feet away from Miho and making sure you don't screw things up during the movie and encouraging you to get popcorn. "I've been around- just checking things out!" Yukari says- you decide right now that you will never at any time in the future play poker with that girl. I actually have a fairly elaborate history for James Russells. No, you guys will never get the full story- yes you will get little disjointed snippets and clues because whatever you guys come up with from that'll probably be 10x better than what I've written.

"Well that isn't surprising." You state flatly. You're actually pretty surprised that they gave up as easily as they did- not without causing you some headaches but you don't even want to think of what they could've accomplished by following you into the theatre. You look over at Yukari, "What about Hana and Mako?"Yukari thinks for a second, finger on her chin. "I don't know per se, but Hana was talking about this really great coffee shop that she hadn't been to in a while."Miho confirms it- "She's right- Hana just texted me back- they're listening to music." She verifies as Hana texts her back. Somehow you find it odd that a girl as, well, traditionally Japanese as Hana would be into coffee. "Coffee and music- sounds like a really great time!""Maybe Mako will be awake for once!" Yukari says to Miho with a grin. "Y'know, it's on the way and we do have a bit of time to wait..." Yukari says, tossing a sideways glance at you and Miho. The original plan had been to get to the Ferry nice and early, but it'll be nearly an hour until it leaves and you're a ten-minute walk away.>Coffee helps with alcohol, right?>We don't want to be late for the Ferry- let's just meet them and go.>"You guys can go on ahead- I still need to find Gramps.">Other.

"I guess we can afford a few minutes to relax." You say, looking down at your watch again. "Besides, it's getting cold out- could use something to warm us up!" You brought your usual leather tanker's jacket, but Miho still only has a light sweater- you're probably going to lose the jacket to her before the night is over. And you're perfectly okay with that. The coffee shop isn't far and is, in fact, almost directly on the way to the Ferry Terminal. It's a small, cozy little shop and, as you walk through the front door, you feel as though you've hit a solid wall of jazz and the aroma of freshly roast coffee. It doesn't take long to spot Mako and Hana at a table near the small open area where a jazz band is playing. It ain't bad, either- your grandfather listens to a lot of jazz so you've developed an ear for it."Hey!" Mako says excitedly, eyes wide and evidently enjoying herself. "This coffee is great! You should try the light roast!" This is... new. Considering her usually sleepy and, well, almost depressed demeaner- then you see the empty coffee cup, as well as a much smaller cup that you assume to be from a shot of espresso. "And the music is amazing!" Mako continues looking over at the band. >"How much coffee has she had?">Guess we'll have the light roast then.>Other.

You look at Mako, then back over the Hana. "How much coffee has she ha-?" You start to say, but Mako immediately jumps in."One dark roast, two light roast and one of those cute little mini-coffees..." She says, words streaming from her before looking at Hana. "What did you call them?" You're actually a bit afraid at this point- this is not the sleepy girl you were used to.Hana smiles at her. "Espre-" She starts, but Mako jumps over her again."Espresso!" She says, slowly, savoring the word as she takes another sip of coffee. "It's good! You should have some!"You look at Miho and Yukari. "I think we'll pass..." You say, not wanting to see what Yukari would be like with that much caffiene in her system. And looking at what Miho was like drunk, you're not entirely certain you want to find out what she'd be like caffienated on the same day. "Maybe just a few regular coffees."You stay for a few minutes, listening to live music and sipping your coffee- you'd asked for to-go cups since you weren't sure you'd be able to finish before you'd need to leave. Turns out that was a good idea as you're barely half-done before Yukari reminds you of the time."I'll get some for Richard and Saori!" Miho says as you head for the door- Miho catches up as you wait outside and you head for the terminal. Again its not a long walk- maybe ten minutes and you've got a nice warm cup of coffee in your hands. Richard and Saori are already at there when you arrive."Warmth!" Richard shouts, enthusiastically taking the two coffees and handing one to Saori. "And caffiene! How was the movie?">"Great! "It was great!" Miho says. "I loved the songs! I haven't seen a Disney musical in so long... I loved them when I was a kid..." Miho says, clapping her hands together happily. While you'd thought it was a pretty good movie, Miho had obviously been absolutely enthralled with it- you're not sure how much of that was the movie and how much was the alcohol, but she'd obviously loved it.You put on a big smile- "Yep, was great to get a chance to spend some time with Miho alone, Richard." You grin at him broadly and, while he keeps his expression from changing, you see a flicker of terror in his eyes. "Well, let's get on board! Practice is early tomorrow- we'll need some rest. Right, Richard?"He gulps a bit- he knows he's going to pay for tonight. "Right."A half hour later the ferry is under way to the Oorai academy ship- anchored some fifty miles South near where the match where Saunders had taken place. Everyone is mostly trying to settle in and relax for the trip- except Mako who, still in the throws of a caffiene bender, is reading through a repair guide for the Panzer IV at a fairly astounding pace. As Saori leans over, sleeping against Richard who's snoring away leaning back against her, Miho excuses herself to go above deck.>Let her go- she just needs some air.>Follow her up- she'll get cold without a jacket.>Other.

As Miho heads up you stand as well, following her up the stairs and to the open deck above. Despite the fact that it's still technically summer, the air outside is as chilly as any winter night- something you'd grown used to while living on a giant ship was the wild temperature swings from day to night. You find Miho against the railing, staring out over the ocean, humming slowly and quietly to herself. "Hey." You say, just loud enough to be heard over the sound of the ocean below. You recognize the tune from the movie earlier. "Let It Go?" You say, guessing the name of the song from the lyrics."Oh." She says. "Sorry... I'm a bit tone-deaf." She says, blushing a bit. "I really liked that song, though." She sighs and looks back out over the ocean."Keep humming, it sounded nice..." You say clumsily, but earnestly. She certainly wasn't as tone deaf as she claimed. You don't remember the words to the song, except the chorus. Instead of humming though, Miho begins quietly singing it as you lean against the rail next to her- just loud enough for you to hear. It's loud enough.
