My people, to me! It is now the Sacred Time and we tell the history of our clan in keeping with the old traditions. In the last two years, clan Fimbulvetr buried their celebrated Trickster Orstalor, and allowed Kentvent to retire. Their replacements are Randella and Enfrew, devotees of Issaries and Lhankor Mhy respectively. Soon after they received word that Praxian warlord Jaldon Goldentooth approached. Quick thinking prevented disaster, but the Old Owls were not so fortunate. Derik Furman, called Singlepath, came to us for assistance in taking the fight to Goldentooth. His endeavor was successful, but left him near death. We healed him and received treasure in return. Later, the clan enshrined the Lightning ritual, to improve their strength in battle.
Didn't mean to leave this alone for so long, last week was busy despite not having anything to do. Should try to get a few more of these in this week. Here's where we were at the end of the last thread.
And in this next year, it seems the forces of Chaos will be stronger than normal.
First thing's first, Enfrew's second portrait is is nowhere near as badass as Kentvent's was.Inganna didn't get anywhere near as much food as I'd hoped for, but it's not bad for the price she paid.
Our ring's Ernaldan reached Heroic Leadership, to my surprise. This could explain why she's been featuring in war events recently.
New Lonisi chief. Seems he's got a sweet-tooth and a fondness for smacktalking the gods.
I always thought Ernalda devotees were more magically inclined, but here you see Eonislara has a much higher Leadership stat than anything else.Leika's getting older and we don't have a replacement for her. I'll advocate for sending more nobles to get mauled, after exploring the tula. Haven't done that in a while. Anything else we want to do this year?
>>30022463Her leadership's not higher than Elusu's is it? Woman needs to know her place.
Tula exploration went off, didn't find anything as usual.>>30022503They're both at Heroic tier, but Elusu's hidden numerical value is higher.
Just when I was starting to feel good about not getting invaded by the Horse-Spawn...Put one into magic and use the Bullroarer and what do you get?
Horses. 17 of them.Oh, and a flawless victory.
Now this is interesting: A man from another clan wants to marry Elusu's daughter. Elusu himself is willing to go through with it. I recall us having having too many alliances already, but no one on the ring is mentioning it.So how do we deal with this situation?
>>30022633Do we have anyone give those horses to?Can we end any feuds using them? We really do need to get rid of some livestock. Can we recruit any weaponthanes? That could put the horses to use.
>>30022633Is this a sign? Have we gotten our combat swag back?
>>30022685This. Is Elusu's. Fucking. Daughter. The man is too wise and kind, he doesn't truly realize how important that grandchild will be. And you know that genes sometimes skip a generation meaning this grandkid might be Elusu's 2.0!HE MUST PROVE HIMSELF WORTHY OF THE HONOR!
>>30022685We get an alliance out of this? Is Tarkalor the son or brother of the chief? Accept if so.
>>30022699Every weaponthane needs a horse. 1 horse. It's hard to get more than 30 weaponthanes at a time without a bit of cheating. >>30022702I think it's the Lightning ritual. Increasing combat damage. The times we've had this active have generally corresponded with the times we've been at our best.>>30022766Doesn't say actually. He's at least a thane of some standing.Shall we put him to the test?
>>30022853Give him a test only someone of noble blood could pass. Because apparently just asking him doesn't work.
Oh-ho, we get to pick the test.A test of swords? Of words? Of the plow? Or... of pigs? That one's a bit odd.
>>30022973POETRY. He's marrying into a leadership position, so he's going to need those skills, plus he'll need to be able to charm Insterid with words if the marriage is going to last.
He did it.Now we're at the wedding feast. How many cows do we kill? Keep in mind that the average family is lucky to get one. Also keep in mind that the game does have a problem with overflow errors.
>>30023099Were our pastures overflowing, or was that fixed? Slaughter 200 unless we really need to kill more.
Seems it went well.
As we move into Sea 2, I notice that we're somewhat low on food. You want around a two year's supply if you can manage it.Other than that, not much to do. Send people to Cragspider?
>>30023365Sure why not.Why not buy more food? Wait until Earth season though.
Here we send Terasarin to meet his maker.
With no event we move straight to Fire season. As a surprise we've got a new Uraldan after all, I just noticed Rana here. Unexceptional stats, but it's not like we'll ever perform Uralda's Blessing again.Shall I keep sending nobles to Craigspider? We're out of superfluous young nobles. The older ones are likely to die naturally in the next few years.
>>30024037By "out of superfluous nobles," does that mean all our current nobles are useful? Surely there's some we don't need.
>>30024654Superfluous YOUNG nobles, meaning that we have a bunch of superfluous old nobles. I keep hoping they'll die, but they're hanging on.
>>30024757So were the young sacrifices already replaced by good characters, or are we still waiting on that?
>>30024797We've done pretty well with the replacements. We got ourselves Hindala (Vingan) and Rana (Uraldan), and a replacement for Orlgard in forty years.Still would like a Humakti or Uroxi, or a worshiper of Chalana Arroy. Most of all I'd like a new Trickster or someone to fill Elusu's shoes.
Just notice that we didn't have the Trading ritual, which improves the yield of trading. Went ahead and got that.Something we might consider doing is learning all the blessings left in the game. It's something to do, and a few of them might come in handy.
Someone's in need of a killing. 7 of our horses have been slain and despoiled.Elusu and Eonislara both believe the Greydogs did it. Since it's Fire season, raids are possible.
>>30025031I would trust Elusu's claim that the Greydogs did it, but if we just attack them blindly, whoever really did it would get away, so we should do the divination, attack the real culprit, and then attack the Greydogs anyway for being so suspicious.
Oh BALLS. The Lonisi are our allies, and members of our tribe. Do we attack, do nothing, start legal proceedings or sacrifice to Elmal?
>>30025126Let's check Enfrew's knowledge of the law and lodge a complaint with the tribe.
He suggests exactly that. We'll take it up with the tribe.
Time to pay the judges. How much do we give? I'd recommend more goods than cows, we're running out of space to bury them.
>>30025351We're running out of space for goods? I didn't even know they took up space.
>>30025599We're not at all, I was making an observation that we have way more goods than we'll be able to spend by the end of the game.
>>30025637Oh, in that case, yeah, 200 each.
And how many people do we send along to play the crowd?Keep in mind that we COULD be attacked while the warriors are away.
>>3002581510 and 50, the remainder should be plenty to defend whatever could attack.
The fact that we so obviously influenced the tribe pissed off the Lonisi, but justice is served.Fun fact: The fine was 20 goods. I think our wealth has blown our sense of worth out of proportion.
No attack. Should we send out an exploration party? There are things to be found in Snakepipe Hollow and the Stinking Forest.
>>30026079That's best left for Earth season, but why not? Send a team to the Hollow.
Snakepipe Hollow boils with Chaos creatures. Luckily we have both Smite and Detect Chaos active in our Urox shrine. That should help.
>>30026079We explore Snakepipe Hollow... with no protection
The Lonisi are pissed at us. Pissed enough to start a feud. Since they're in our tribe, that could be problematic.Ignore Onelisin, she's been agitating or secession for years.
>>30026445They shit in our horses and they get mad at us for punishing them? Compose a poem about what horseshitters they are.
The poem doesn't go over very well.
This screen is interesting. It shows that you can keep trading with a clan you're feuding with. It also shows that the Lonisi are still in the tribe. When/if the raids start is could be bad.I should have mentioned this earlier, but it IS possible for the ancestor's divination to get things wrong. Other clans tend to be more mercenary than concerned with justice.
>>30026883Oh, forgot to mention: It's now Earth season. Should we go ahead and start trading for food, explore some of the blank spots on our map, go to one of the places with treasure or events we've yet to see, or send Craigspider some kindling?
>>30026977Let's go hunting for events or treasures. And figure out how we're going to smooth things over in the tribe again.
We'll send Onelisin on one last mission for the clan before retirement.>>30027308Smoothing things over will hopefully not be too hard: We could run a heroquest to make friends, or throw hundreds of goods at them. Or maybe this is a good use of horses.
The Ducks might be on to us, they attacked Terasarin's group before they could reach Cragspider.
Great success with Snakepipe Hollow, killed Chaos, got treasure.Detect+Smite Chaos in action.
This is no good. The Vostangi are breeding dogs! Orlanthi hate dogs. The cult of Yinkin want our help in getting the creatures destroyed. How do we entertain their request?
>>30027656We're on fairly good terms with the Vostangi. It might be worth trying 1, and if that gets us laughed off then 2.
What do we offer them to give peace a chance?
>>30025031I KNEW IT WOULD HAPPENI JUST FUCKING KNEW IT
>>30027889Let's not keep wasting 200 at a go, that's just stupid overkill. Give 50 of each, that's just overkill enough.
Amazingly, it worked. The dogs were fed to the cats and all was right in Dragon Pass.
For the second half of Earth season, I suggest trying to get Terasarin killed again.
>>30028061Sure. We're just killing time till the RNG coughs up events, gotta plan for the future.
I strongly recommend doing something to get the Lonisi back properly in line, else we're going to be super screwed.
Terasarin leaves in a very familiar scene.
It's now Dark season. Normally we'd be raiding now, but the Lonisi issue is concerning. We can try the normal diplomatic moves in Storm season, or we can run Issaries the Conciliator in the second half of the season to instantly end the feud. That will mean one less raid this year though.
>>30028362Eh, it's not like we NEED to raid. It just feels good. Let's get this ended before it festers, I'm with the other anon.
That's not very promising.Just to confirm, we're going to run Issaries, right?
Seems the forest trip expedition went well. Dead bandits and a staff that makes the holder LOOK wiser.
The Jenestni come to us offering peace. I'd like to point out that we've seen this screen before, right before the Anmangarn betrayed us and killed some of our people.
>>30028739Option 4 seems reasonable. Though I don't know how exactly it went down last time.
>>30029094We picked option 4 and the other clan in question killed one of our ring members. http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/28279345/#p28281540Pretty good read actually.
>>30029223Shit...should we just say no?
>>30029223Yeah, but those guys were assholes. Let's give peace a chance, we've got enough other enemies to pick on.
>>30029501>>30029507Well it's up to you. Making peace will necessarily end our campaign to wipe these guys from Dragon Pass. And we've been consistently attacking them for about 20 years now, so if we trust them at all it's going to have to be option 4.Are we going to take this chance?
>>30029590It's no fun punching them anymore, and destroying them utterly does not seem to want to take. Plus we've got other punching bags we've been ignoring.I'd like to hope they're desperate enough at this point to try anything, just to get us to stop killing them. And it'd hurt our rep to turn them down cold.
All right then. What truth proof do we demand? The hostage, the cows or the truth ritual?
>>30029782Truth ritual or the hostage; I think last time we took the cows. Leaning towards the ritual; that way if they break it they're, well...fucking OATHBREAKERS in the eyes of the gods and will suffer as such.
Well, Lhankor Mhy thinks they're on the level. They gave us 22 cows. What do we give them in return?
>>300299547 cows, 21 goods.
Despite a promising start, negotiations fall through. Despite the twenty years of massacring every man with a sword in hand at their tula, it took sitting down at a table together to worsen relations.
Oh wow, it's actually happening. Lonisi Vingan warriors invade the clan hall, and hurt several people. Looks like we have to decide what to do about them sooner than expected.
>>30030283Sure for peace. Worst case, it fails, and we do the heroquest like originally planned.
>>30029954As they are the ones who are demanding peace, we shall offer them NOTHING. Fortunately for them, >>300301317 cows and 21 goods is nothing to us.
We've got three peacemaking options. We can offer payment, demand payment or offer political marriage. Which do we issue?>>30030403Amusingly, they reacted as though we had offered them nothing.
>>30030461Why the fuck are the Lonisi whining at us again?
>>30030491They shit down our horses throats and got super butthurt they were caught
>>30030518Then we rigged the courts against them. We didn't even bother with the backroom deal, just set up a table and started hawking bribes. The clan, I fear, is not much for subtlety, except when it comes to cursing Jenestni fields.
>>30030518Yeah but WHY did they shit in our horses? What STARTED this?
>>30030586Not even the gods know
>>30030586Could be any number of reasons: The game could have just randomly picked an event and picked them as the perpetrators.Alternatively, the divination was wrong. That DOES happen sometimes.
>>30030635Hrm. Let's offer payment. We're swimming in goods.
This should look familiar. How much do we offer?
>>30030781Why isnt there an option to stab them in the face?25 goods
Hot damn, that actually worked.>>30030796Because we already decided not to counter-raid them.
>>30030845If we didn't need them in our tribe I would recommend a blasting of their earth, though.
Impressively, rather than leaving relations in poor shape, the Lonisi are now perfectly neutral towards us. I really wonder how this sequence of events worked numerically. This means that we'll have to send bribes to make them like us so we can repair relations. We'll have something to do for a few seasons. Also, it means that we can raid the Jenestni again, and use this year's heroquest for something else.Lastly, clan mood has returned to being maxed out.
Let's raid the Jenestni!Wait, where's their army?
>>30030998We caught them while they were raidingmy sides
No injured or dead on our side. Normally I'd trumpet this fact, but we didn't kill either of their thanes.>>30031014Come to think of it, that does look like the reserves you leave when you raid. Except I don't think the AI clan can raid in Dark season.
The usual peace attempt. Then this incredible event. The Jenestni just hired Greydog mercenaries. When we next raid the Jenestni, we'll hurt the Greydogs at the same time.
It's now Storm season. I'm not going to give any choices to you this time, because we're officially getting to the point where I'm worried about food stocks. I'll probably bump up land use again next year. This year, we'll trade for food with the Ducks. After that I'm going to do something I've been wanting to for a while with Humakt the Champion.
We're sending this caravan off...
...Doing a bit of recycling...
>>30031290I said, doing a bit of recycling...
And then the skellington band shows up. They want to put on a show for us, and everyone in Dragon Pass. What do we say?
>>30031393FUCK YEAH SKELETONS!1
>>30031393Well, the price is nothing of note, and we can always use more fan. Anyone more up on the lore able to point out if there are red flags we should beware of, like giants spelling doom or necromancers casting Animate Dead being the worst evil ever?
In case you're curious, this is what the image looks like when we take off the textbox.
>>30031442the skeletons seem to have personalities and pictured in >>30031464that sassy skelly
Now that we're putting the show on, it's time to decide what we do with ourselves.>>30031442The event is completely safe.
>>300315254repair relations with the horse shitters
Who are we gifting?
>>30031599everyone in our tribe i guess
Had to look up who was in, but we're now gifting the five clans of our tribe. What are we giving them?
>>3003171310 cattle and 20 goods
>>30031713i assume its for each so 5 cows and 10 goods each
>>30031771>>30031779It's a lump sum that gets broken up actually.
>>3003180230 cows 50 goods
Looks like a smashing success.
For this performance of Humakt the Champion, the role of Humakt will be played by Onelisin. You see, there's a secret hidden in this heroquest.
>>30031899Is it time for a journey into the god realm?
>>30031944We did that one ages ago. No, this is a specific hidden item in Humakt the Champion. You see, Humakt is supposed to refuse Orlanth's entreaties to hand over the sword until he gets his new agreement with Orlanth. But what happens if you take Orlanth's trade?
The Silver Sheep increases the value of your trade goods. And all you have to do is blow a heroquest so badly that your quester takes permanent (until you raise it again) stat damage. Good thing we're retiring Onelisin!
>>30032094I keep forgeting shes not a guy
That's a pretty good amount of food there; pity the number counter glitched so we don't know what we traded for it. No way to check either, we got our crafter income and that's not a stable number.>>30032128Vingan. Always female. Basically, if the hair's red, it's a woman.
Troll attack in Storm season? Odd. Probably a reaction to our noble attacking Cragspider.Pretty weak numbers they're posting though.
Randella highlights this time. She has Very Good Combat.
>>30032189Well we did send one old guy who was stupid enough to take on the six titted troll-god of flame and brow twitching. She knows we wated the fool dead. It's propably the trolls asking us to return the favour and kill off their dead weights.
>>30032214Avoid confrontations, she's not particularly tough here.
Randella spends the battle harrying stragglers on both sides.
Glorious victory.>>30032245Another clan might have heroquested to smite darkness. Makes me wonder.
And that's the year! Look at those numbers, down 254 cows, but how many did we spend? 46 newly productive adults vs. 45 children born. And 47 more sheep, in starvation conditions!Okay that's probably the fuzzy bastards moving into space vacated by the cows. But still, great year despite that moment midway through.I'm going to end here tonight, we'll pick up in 12 hours or so. Maybe even less, for once. Nah, let's not tempt fate. I'll post on Twitter (@WatashiwaOnline) some time before I get started.See you all then, hope you had a good time. I'll stick around for a bit to answer any questions.
>>30032448Thanks for the thread mangoodnight
Keeping the thread alive for Heortson.
>>30035407yeah, whooo, Dragon Pass! How long till we end it, tho?
>>30036589Hard to say. The endgame stuff could start this year or 20 years from now, in game.
Sorry for the delay, put the flashdrive down and couldn't find it again. We enter the new year without an omen and with the promise of a good harvest. I think I'm okay with that.
>>30041946I love how even with reduced stats, she's still the best fighter in the pass.
We used to know a Jarstakos didn't we? He was the guy with awful Leadership but good Magic we had as chief for a while. And then Baranthos took over and was better in every way.>>30041946Forgot to point out that Onelisin's stat line really has decreased, she no longer has Heroic Combat or Renowned Magic. We're lucky she's retiring soon.
Oh thank god. Two of our nobles died of natural causes, freeing up space for new and interesting people to show up.The Death rune mentioned here is Humakt's symbol, the cross.
Terasarin's replacement is Ernaldesta, another Issarian. Decent magic, not much else to recommend her.First thing's first, I'm going to increase land use by 50. 30 more fields, 20 more pastures.
The problem with growing like we are is that keeping enough food on hand becomes somewhat difficult. We might end up in starvation conditions at this rate.We might consider dropping the Kero Fin shrine, so that fewer babies get born and survive.
Is it that time again?
>>30022060I've missed a lot of these. Have our super-babies reached maturity yet?
Food just dropped under population, this is unsustainable.>>30042225I don't know that we ever got them. By the in-game clock they should have, but there haven't been any notifications.
That's some fucking timing. The population pressure has been noticed by the people, who want permission to split off and form a new clan. The clan's morale is maxed out, we don't have any troublemakers to split off. We might seriously consider one of the other actions. And before anyone suggests it, our only neighbors are our tribe mates. Elusu wants to attack the Mule Deers.
>>30042323Seek volunteers to split I suppose
>>30042323Seek Volunteers.Don't give them Tula, but otherwise be nice. Let's get orselves another clan in the tribe who used to be us.
>>30042323Weren't we running out of food? If they leave, we can keep our farmland so we can sustain our reduced population, right? I guess we should send off volunteers.
Everyone wanted to stay, so volunteers were reluctant at first. But for love of the clan a fourth of our people left, taking a share of our wealth. And only two of our weaponthanes, nice.
And here they are, North of the Six Brothers. They're on good terms with us and are members of our tribe by default.
Here's a current geopolitical map. It's now Fire season. We're actually short of farmers now, though the harvest will be sufficient. We're just about done with noble recycling for the time being. The new Issarian might be worth getting rid of though. Now could be a good time to go exploring again.I'm having a hard time coming up with things to do, we're doing exceedingly well.
>>30042570Maybe they'll be a good influence.
>>30042518And they took just enough food so that we're still in a crunch, how thoughtful. I guess we couldn't let them go hungry, but it doesn't help us any.
>>30042669Look at all our goods. Is there anyone we can dump them on for food?
>>30042652Explore/treasures? Patch up relations with enemies after we looted them to satisfaction?
>>30042669Now this year's food income is higher than total population. That's a MUCH better place to be, there was originally going to be a shortfall.>>30042700Oh yes. We can trade with any clan for food, but the ducks have lots of it available. We're also owed some favors, we can call those in.>>30042706Got all the trade treasures, but there are still a few hiding in exploration zones. We could try to make nice with a few of the independent clans, like the Six Brothers.Hell with it, let's get trading.
There's one more thing we can do that just slipped my mind until now, and that's activate the Spare Grain Ritual. Any trades made while it's active gets you a few units of food.Since we're trading for food, we could also just use the Trading ritual and get more food in return for our goods.A year of trade to boost our food stocks doesn't sound too bad actually.
>>30042780..Yes, let's work on making nice with the six brothers. They have borders with our tribe now, let's complel them to join, one way or another.
>>30042824...Sounds a good 'waiting' year plan.
Forgot to mention it earlier, but Randella has her second age portrait now.Anyway, food get.
Oh look, someone thinks they're tough.
>>30042849Really? I hardly noticed a difference. Usually when characters age, their clothes, hair colour and style all change on top of a lifetime of wrinkles, but she only got a few wrinkles and a new hat.
Goddamn it, so many events where Elusu gets hurt. This time it's the Uralda editio--what's that option number 1 about? I don't think I've seen this event before.Rana has Good Combat, Fair Leadership and no Magic skill.
>>30042869Dammit, our militia is pathetic now. I hope the thanes can carry them.
>>30042903Rana sounds like one useless bitch. I'd say wait for a chance to heal, but have her rush the heal instead- better her loss than Elusu's.
>>30042903Rush forward and ~~draw fire~~ heal Elusu
Okay, this looks good.
Fucking hell.I think I see what happened here, they put a lot of points into War magic, then skirmished. So we took damage during the attack run, but won the battle overall.Smart of them.
A man comes to us looking to perform a heroquest. He want to fight Orlanth so that Orlanthi will be united.I don't think I follow. Maybe he'll be Elmal when Elmal was a member of the Fire Tribe? What do we tell the prospective heroquester?
>>30043069Sounds like he's going to do Humakt, since he's fighting Orlanth and trying to make people loyal. Help him anyway, we'll look good, and it's not a big deal to spend magic - unless doing this would hamper our own heroquest this year.
We supported him at the cost of 12 magic. It'll be interesting to see what comes of this.
It's now Earth season. You'll notice that we've taken in a good amount of food. Might not have to rebuild those food stocks quite so desperately.Should we start trying to make nice with the Gorinds or Six Brothers?
>>30043201Screw the Six Brothers, deserting us just because we were successful. Make nice with the Gorinds.
Sorry, I had it backwards, it was the Lonisi we had problems with. We'll send some gifts, and I'm pleased to say we're close with them again, if not at alliance level.
All's well that ends well.
>>30043371A favour? Is that what all that horse shitting and ring murdering was about? What favour did they do for us?
We move straight into Earth 2. How about sending an exploration party to lower Tarsh?>>30043390I think that when you call on the tribe to assist in a heroquest, you owe the clans a favor. We've been calling on the tribe regularly.
>>30043416Sounds good, explore Tarsh! And then, whichever heroquest we've gon the longest without doing? Do that, for some quest variety.
Turns out there were two big grey spots in Tarsh, not just one. We'll check out the one further up first.
Someone's stolen Humakt's Raven Banner. I don't know if it can be used against us in-game, but we don't have it ourselves.
>>30043792I don't think treasures can be "used" by the AI. Still, divine its location.
It's with the Vostangs is it? Were they active in stealing it or is their tula where the thieves went to ground?Knowing where it is, what do we do about it? Leave things alone, sacrifice to prevent further theft, offer a reward or go after it?
>>30044501Take it back, and kill 5 of theirs so none of ours die. The omen says 5 people will die, doesn't say who's people.
Enothea will lead, being a devotee of the Hunting God. How many people do we send along?>>30044609Who dies is in the hands of the gods/the RNG.
>>30044681More than five I guess. 4 thanes and 8 normal dudes?
One thane and four warriors die to return the Raven Banner.
How good, exactly?
Find out, after these messages!Tarsh is fighting the Lunar Empire, and the Horse-Spawn are helping him. In return, the Horse-Spawn get paid. This is probably why the raids against us have been so perfunctory.Actually these look like they're pretty important, should we be exploring Tarsh more?
We won a treasure in the exploration, Tarshite Woad, which boosts some stat. Maybe a one-use combat item? Not sure.
That's a much better food situation. Still not quite a 2 year supply, but very near to it.Time to raid the Jenestni-Greydog alliance?
I think we've beggared the Jenestni, they can't seem to hire enough mercenaries to to make a real fighting force.
Wonder how many of them were Greydogs?
This time we were spotted, and there are four weaponthanes there now.
Enothea has an event where she sees someone who killed a family member in the Jenestni lines. She has Heroic Combat, Good Leadership and Good Magic.
>>30045413Single combat or try to kill him in battle.
>>30045413She has Heroic combat? Why is she not the Warleader on the ring instead of Onelisin? Anyway, challenge to a duel.
Single combat gets Enothera's revenge, and deals the Jenestni a demoralizing blow.>>30045535The Warleader is actually Elusu, who has Heroic Leadership, Magic, Combat and Custom. (He's kind of a badass)Onelisin had Heroic Combat until I intentionally had her fail a heroquest. I also like Vingans better than Odaylans.
One injured overall.
I can't say I'm really surprised.
One of these days you won't have anything left to pay off mercenaries with. That will be a good day.
That's an anemic number of trolls. 99 in total.
Now I see why it's called the impossible captcha.Kentvent has Renowned Combat.
>>30045893Go to where the fighting's worst, he's strong enough to handle it, and if not, we already have his replacement.
That last line distresses me.
Something strange in the neighborhood? Who do we call?Lawyers, according to Enfrew.Anyway, there's a ghost haunting a stead. The people fear the haunting will spread. Elusu suspects Jenestni involvement. How do we deal with the pesky thing?
>>30046636I thought we had this event before? And I'm pretty sure lawyers worked that time, so lets get suing.
Unfortunately, the ghost is under contract. He was paid one sheep (cheap at the price) and if he reneges then he could be sued for breach of contract.Attack the Jenestni and sue the Jenestni have been added to our options.>>30046728Some events repeat, this is one of them.
>>30046791Why is this a question? Attack the Jenestni.
Here we see the average Fimbulvetr raid on the Jenestni.Except for the part where we're trying to kill as many as possible.
Here you see the average result of a raid against the Jenestni.
That solved the problem.
It's amazing, they just saw what hiring bandits would get them and they try this again.
Just a few more pieces of Tarsh to explore. We'll do one now.Any objections to putting our replacement Vingan through Orlanth and Aroka?
The Horse-Spawn have a new leader. They call her the Feathered Horse Queen. Emissaries come to us with this news, and offer a chance to improve our relations with them. There's one more event we have to see, but this is a major sign that we've moved into the endgame.
>>30047203Maybe they'll hire elves or fairies next time.
>>30047295Gift them horses, feathered horse bitches love horses.
Cows and goods as usual. Want to throw them 100 goods?>>30047305That would be a definite improvement over what they've got.
>>30047295 why there is only that way of winning the game?if i were in the developers when they released KoDP for Iphone i'd add more ways to win, I DON'T WANNA MARRY THAT BITCH, I AM THE KING!
>>30047352Sounds good. DON'T give them cattle, it'll insult them. Grazers consider cattle rearing a slave's job.
For some reason, a good number of the endgame options tick off the weaponthanes. Maybe it's an unknowing criticism of the military-industrial complex.>>30047355King of Dragon Pass is a prequel to the HeroQuest/RuneQuest campaign setting. You're playing the history of the country canonically named Sartar, which came about after three Orlanthi tribes joined forces to found a city and allied with the non-human peoples native to the Pass, and then the Grazers.
Hmm. We might have to scale back the raids...
Or we can keep on as we are, clan mood is solidly positive. Going to put Hindala through Orlanth, to prepare her to replace Onelisin.
>>30047472i know but it is not an excuse to not making some alternative histories happen in a game
Hindala ranks up.>>30047530The game does feature lots of possible alternate histories. You can join the Colymar tribe, or be forced out of the one you founded (though that makes winning the game very difficult, if not impossible). The problem is that eventually the game has to connect with the story it's based on, so the branches get cut.Actually I'm pretty sure they were running out of money at the end of game development.
Even more news from Tarsh?Wait no, exactly the same news story.
Here's the new news: We got yet another treasure from Tarsh. This one improves our relations with the Tarshites.
Wow, actually I just noticed: We won 12 points of magic for that heroquest.Oh yeah, and the Greydogs attack.
Hindala gets the event this time. She now has Excellent Combat and Very Good Leadership.
>>30047745Higher Combat says charge them.
This girl is awesome.
Posting some really good numbers again.
The Stag Hearths are praising us. Pretty decent of them, considering we drove them off their lands after they burned our tula. Then again, maybe that's what they're referring to?
And that's the year! Our stats look awful until you remember we split off a fourth of our holdings. Might have to reduce fields in the future. We'll end the thread here. I want to play again in two day's time, but this weekend is going to be extraordinarily busy. Cool, but busy. I'll announce on Twitter when the next thread will be (@WatashiwaOnline).Hope you all had fun. If you have any questions I'll answer to the best of my ability, might be a bit slow in response though. See you next time.
