As Ned Salter, we work to make sure billions of home through human colonized space receive top quality entertainment on a regular basis, running a stable of fighters for the XWF, managing videogames, a music band, and a reality tv show that is only less popular than the XWF's main time pay-per-view events on the OPnet!Starting at this time to see if this is early, late, or just on time. Let me know as you get online, guys
>>29919450Yo, sorry I haven't been around in awhile, I've just been feeling too sick to participate.
>>29919580Aw man, I thought you were getting better, what happened?>>29919473howdyWell, yesterday we didint do much since only one person showed up. Just made a call to set up the holoconference array at Mako's orphanage so she can talk to her little brothers and sisters, and went to talk to Stella and Bella to see how they were doing with their songs.Stella wants a faster, more "nature-sounds" theme while Bella wants a slower, more "epic adventure" theme, so they were arguing about it. Also Bella took her clothes off and Stella did the same because she thought that like the jungle animals she had lived with for documentals, Bella was somehow just doing an aggression ritual and didint want to fall behind. And the sound technitians complained about it and asked Ned to do something about it.
>>29919813Holo-clothing is the way forward.Project the image of clothing onto naked ladies.Failing that, contract a Nova who can do illusions to make it look like they're clothed. I'm sure DeVries could sort us out, or perhaps there's an XWF fighter who'd like to do Ned a favour
>>29919813Right. We should try to convince her that Mako would probably pass out if she saw them like this, and reccomend alternate options. Euro/erofiber, specially designed clothes, some quantum gadget that can use holo to make her look like she has clothes. ect.
>>29919813I am, reeeeeealy slowly. Bronchitus can take weeks to clear up, until then, I get to constantly cough up stuff from my lungs. Also I managed to get up in time, to check the thread before it died yesterday.>>29919853fucking brill.>>29919854agreed.
>>29919854For some reason that makes me laugh just a little bit, but i cant quite put the finger on why...Bella: "Well, I have yet to try Eufiber, actually"Stella: "I've heard it actually feels like a part of yourself, but I haven't tried it out either"As it turns out, artists with perfectly passive and non-violent powers have a much lower need to wear super suits than Utopia agents, Teragen members, or XWF fighters. Who knew? Also they're expensive enough you dont just get one "just in case", either.Looking into it, yes, there is a reason Eufiber users go with the smallest possible coverage. Two reasons if you include Aura's reason, really.Do you want to splurge to get Bella a eufiber sui... actually, if we got eufiber suits for the whole band and they got the weave ability/skill, that could be their whole show wardrobe since they could alter its shape at will.Make it into a small and trashy punk roll outfit, then into a opera dress or whatever at will.>>29919853I was gonna say "but what if there's a power blackout" but I assume they could power them up with their own quantum if it was a chocker or a bracelet or such... then "but clothing has also a protective factor" but the fact is that most of them don't really need any sort of weather protection, then I got a couple more ideas against it but not everyone has to wear it, only those who want to.If Aura has the chance to go nude all the time and bring it up from time to time as she does yoga on worldwide television, that may just fullfill her tease needs for the day forever just as she gets out of bed
>>29920040ah, I got one. It may be more expensive and complicated than a eufiber suit
>>29920040We can do that. Deduct it as a business expense on our taxes and such.
>>29920040This, Ned and the XWF can afford it, if the band pays off, it'll pay for itself in short order.
>>29920099>>29920072Okay so who do we get to design their suits... I honestly wonder if the XWF has their own fashion department or what.Would everyone (XWF, Utopia, Teragen, etc) go to a brand, a franchise, or do they each have their own designers/tailors somewhere...http://youtu.be/M68ndaZSKa8http://youtu.be/iOpH6E7T6I0
>>29920206>Okay so who do we get to design their suitsI guess the XWF fashion department, since I don't think that 'fibre suits are typically handled by the normals.
>>29920346Well, by core, it depends on your definition of normal. A tiny suit is a 6 digit investment, but that doesnt keep the wealthy and famous from wanting it.Have you ever seen the price tag on a designer's dress or suit? But yeah, I guess that the XWF would have their own department. I wonder if we would have a Etna Mode or if everyone sort of comes up with their own suit design.
>>29920472mode, she's funnier
>>29920492Well, its not the core setting and why the hell no, really. My only problem with it is that I dont think I can deliver a good Etna Mode. If one of you guys wants to write the scene, then I have no issues with it. Is just that I feel most of her humour comes from being so tiny but bossing around the supers
>>29920548I haven't got anything sadly. Perhaps we should move on.
>>29920548I got nothin'. Leave it in the background, but the eufiber tailoring process *is* being done by an Etna expy whose was a fashion designer *before* she erupted, and has eufiber attunement so high she can manipulate other people's suits by thought alone.
>>29920681Well, I think we have a few choices. Make a date for the band members with the XWF designer, go to a 3rd party, or we could get Lyann to or Aura do the designing, as they both have a huge style roll... tho we probably should let Aura do the design for anyone, including herself, reallyNot if we want to keep the band PG-13, really
>>29920801shouldn'tI meant we should notSo XWFEtna Mode and just skip itOne of our contacts
>>29920801I'm pretty sure we did not want to keep the band PG-13?(sorry, just got here, so I might have missed something while catching up)
>>29920944I said "if we want to"So, XWF, outside designer (Etna?), or maybe Lyann or Aura?
>>29920963WXF I guess.
>>29920963Why don't we make it a competetive process and get everyone (XWF, Etna, Arua, Lyann -and didn't Stella have some design experience?) to submit ideas first, then we select the best to go to fabrication? The album's still being worked on some think we have time. In the meantime, see if we can hire some additional crew members that have worked around supermodel-tier naked women for long enough that they can appreciate Stella and Belle without being too distracted to do their jobs.
>>29921017Alright after checking Aura actually has 3 specialty donts on style - fashion so she is a valid contender for the designs Aura [13d10] => [3,3,10,9,5,1,9,1,9,10,2,6,9] result of (6) success + [3d10] => [7,5,4] result of (1) successAura [2d10] => [2,7] result of (1) successAura [1d10] =>  result of a failure9 successesLyann [17d10] => [8,8,8,8,7,7,9,8,9,7,3,4,9,9,4,3,3] result of (12) success + [7d10] => [3,5,2,6,5,3,8] result of (1) success14 successes (amongst other novas, but humans feel a -7 penalty against her designs.) 0) .: Etna Mode [12d10] => [10,3,7,2,8,3,2,9,3,7,9,10] result of (7) success + [3d10] => [7,7,5] result of (2) success(0) .: Etna Mode [2d10] => [1,6] result of a (-1) botch11 successes, the woman designs for GODS, you know?XWF [12d10] => [1,6,2,6,4,8,8,3,6,1,5,4] result of (2) success + [3d10] => [10,2,2] result of (1) success4 successes... I guess everyone can have a bad dayAlso I just remembered. Which martial arts style do you guys want Aura to learn? I'll fix her sheet over the weekend
>>29921197Save both Aura and Lyann's designs for future use, but go with Etna's for now.No idea on what we were teaching Aura, something dodgy with a fair bit of grappling I hope.
>>29921237Well, since her powers all work better the closest she is to her target, I think something very grabby/touchy would be the most efficient, but do we want her to be efficient or showy? i mean really
>>29921269I'm thinking 85% showing with 15% efficient takedown techniques she can fall back on in a pinch. Probably slowly shifting that ratio towards efficiency as she progresses in the league.
>>29921280Something like She Quan then? (snake style kung fu)Let me see... Christie from the Dead Or Alive series uses She QuanMaybe crane?>>29921304That's really specific. I have no idea then. Suggestion?
>>29921380I honestly don't know enough. She Quan will do I guess. So, we're supposed to be dealing with Mako next?
>>29921380On second thought, maybe either one would be too complicated/girly? maybe something more direct..takedowns... wrestling, sambo commando, what else?>>29921406Sure, brb
>>29921445Yeah I'm out of ideas. Just going to put my faith in you that it'll be handled well.
>>29921445A special subschool of Kung Fu with additional grappleing manuvers? call it grope fu
>>29921476Alright, backSo who do you want to get to make the designs? I was re-reading the handbooks (its good to do so from time to time) and noticed that beyond 5 successes a roll is considered to be a extraordinary, super human success, so keep that in mindAura had 9 successes. Of course her designs are the most sexual of the lot, but it is 9 successes on STYLE so they're not slutty or in poor taste, they just happen to be incredibly stylish and sexual in equal measuresLyann had 14 successes, but remember baseline humans have a big ass -7 towards her, so its "just" 7 successes from the human point of view. Her suits probably come with intelligence-enhancing & health-enhancing fibers or something. Probably gives something like a dot on regeneration to nova users but would probably be the most expensive designsEtna has 11 successes. God tier, you know? And the XWF design team is great at fighting suits but I guess rock fashion is not their thing. Would be the cheapest option, tho
>>29921594Etna I think.
>>29921594I guess we go with the not-Etna, them. 11 successes is fucking huge, and I don't want to lose that to save on some money.
>>29921627I stand corrected
>>29921644hey, i dont mind at all if it IS Etna. I mean why not?Alright, Im getting hungry (its 13:31 here) so im gonna go lunch. Should we stop here for this week? I will update Aura' s sheet and attacks with martial arts over the weekend when i read on them and find something flashy,. I guess.
>>29921594Here's my idea, we pitch Etna's design to the group and ask for minor input from the band so we can tailor their individual costumes to their preferences. We Save Lyann's designs for any Nova only events (may have her rework them a bit with Etna's help to make them most generic-human friendly without compromising too much of her extraordinary work) and we save Aura's designs for use in her fashion collection or as song specific costumes (I feel like we'll need something more sensual for her songs).-Remind me Belle's nudity is a preference thing or is she Grey from Fairytale in reguard so suddenly stripping?
>>29921690Fair enough, don't know about the others but I'll be around for most of the day if you change your mind on stopping. Is 8am board time going to be the new start time?
>>29921690Sure, I'll just go to bed, and hope I'm feeling better on monday.
>>29921739I'd like to have today's start time be the regular start time, whatever time it was for you. I will be back in an hour or so but I dont wanna advance the story without the others input. We can talk about the game if you want, of course>>29921693Is a compulsion/flaw whenever she gets really excited (not in a sexual way, tho I assume everyone gets nude with enough sexual excitement, if you know what i mean). We can buy it off from her for 7exp if you want, tho it is sort of her trademark in the music world. Is not like it will kill her or anything, tho
>>29921846Actually, I don't want to buy it off her, it's a signature and as long as we can tastefully accommodate it (and let's be honest, drummers usually end up in as little clothing as possible anyway) I think it could work well for her personal brand and for the group as a whole. I was just trying to see how long it would be before she stripped out of ther hyper comfy eufiber suit.
>>29921935that's a good point. She can pay 1 willpower to roll to resist it, but im not sure on the eufiber suit. She may just earn weave so she can control it instead. Make is smaller/out of the way
>>29922687Her learning Weave would work for me mainly because the idea of reading her level of enthusiasm by seeing how much skin she's showing is fairly amusing. That said is there any chance you could post a google.doc or pastbin with links to all your character sheets? I don't care if they're complete, in progress or not up to date. Just having a central directory for all that stuff would save me personally a lot of time and make it easier to plan and direct these guys and our fighters going forward. Sorry for asking you to do more work on a weekend, but it'd really help me out.
