It is the sight of the absolutely gargantuan twin airships, USS Macon and USS Akron, apparently now docked at Lafayette Girls Academy and presumably swallowing up your tanks for transport to Bovington Camp. You never considered yourself much of a fan of aviation, but seeing these huge airships chills you with the awe from a bygone age. You’re not entirely sure how the Aviation Studies Club girls are going to react. But hey, fukken airships, what are you gonna do? Do they even count as part of Aviation Studies? But regardless, you still have school today, that’s always fun. Hopefully your own transport has been secured and ready to take you where you need to go right after school. As you dress yourself for the day, your cellphone rings.“Naval Studies Medical”> Answer> Don’t Answer

> Answer“Gertrude Pool speaking.”“Hello, Trudy! It’s your favorite Naval Studies Medical student calling!”“Oh, Franny. What’s up?”“Just calling to remind you that your dentist appointment is today!”“… I have a dentist appointment?”“Yep! You and Kitten I’ve got scheduled today for the morning. You’re probably gonna miss out on a class or two but I’ve already got things scheduled out and it should be right and proper with your teachers. Don’t tell me you forgot!”“… I forgot. Sorry, I just had a lot of shit to deal with, it must have crossed my mind, Franny.”“Oh, don’t worry about it, just drop by the Medical Building on campus and we’ll see to you, right?”“Of course, of course. I’ll see you there, Franny.”You hang up. Sweet Jesus, the DENTIST. How did you forget that? At least you manage to keep your teeth clean but you’re not sure about how Kitten’s gonna take it. Whatever, time to get it done anyway. You open the door and immediately see your staff plus Kitten. “Oh, President, I was just about to knock,” says Nancy. “I’m glad you’re up and ready for school!”You say, “Well, I’m actually not heading to school for now, and neither is Kitten.”Kitten looks confused. “Why? I got classes too.”“We have to go to the Dentist.”…Kitten turns around and NOPES the fuck out of there. “Kitten!” you shout, freezing her in place. “Come back.”“Oh come on!” she whines. “I hate the Dentist! All that scraping and jaw opening and… stuff! I HATE IT!”“Too bad, we’re going,” you say firmly. “You’ve been brushing your teeth, haven’t you?”She pouts, crossing her arms and glaring at you. “Have you?”> Boast> Neutral> Polite

I don’t want a nice little kittycat who has gingivitis and is missing most of her teeth which are buried under a root canal.”Nancy nods. “Teeth healthiness is always important!” She grins, also bearing her extremely clean white teeth. She definitely brushes twice a day, and flosses too.Lisa nods as well. “It’s one of the few things I keep clean in my apartment.” She smiles, showing off her white teeth as well. You all look over at Ramirez, expectantly. She says, “What, I have no reason to smile.”You roll your eyes. “Anyway, girls, why don’t you head up without us, we’ll meet you at lunch.”Nancy nods. “Sure thing.”Your staff leaves you, thus leaving you and Kitten alone outside your dorm room. “Now, Kitten,” you say, getting up in her face. “Did you brush your teeth this morning?”Kitten starts sweating, blushing a little. “Uh… Yes?”> “Liar”> “Liar, liar, plants for hire.”> “Okay, let’s go anyway, you fucking lying piece of shit.”> Other

Anyway, let’s get your teeth brushed right quick.” You all walk down to Kitten’s dorm. You quickly say, “With toothpaste!”You spend the next 10 or so minutes at Kitten’s dorm, overseeing her as she rather lazily brushes her teeth with her neglected toothbrush and toothpaste. She spits, blood splattering all over the sink. “This sucks.”“It only sucks because you don’t brush,” you say. “Now, again.”She rolls her eyes, then gets back to brushing.Once she’s done to a satisfactorily level, you declare her to be good then march off for the Campus. Kitten stuffs her hands in her pockets, and you can tell by the look on her face that she’s idly licking her teeth. You say, “You remember Franny, don’t you?”“Oh god, don’t tell me she’s going to be our dentist today.”You frown. “What’s wrong with Franny?”Kitten says, “What isn’t wrong with her? But that doesn’t mean anything.” For the love of god, you hope that doesn’t mean anything.“Well, hopefully she’s not some kind of sadist, now that’d really be something,” says Kitten. “I bet all dentists are sadists on the inside.”“Now, Kitten, that’s a terrible assumption. I’m sure only 1 in 100 are.”With that, you arrive at the Medical Building on the school’s campus. This is the only building on campus where you’re going to regularly find Naval Studies students, mostly because they are the ones studying medicine and other medical arts like Dentistry, Surgery, Anatomy, Psychiatry, etc.You greet the receptionists, and she tells you of your appointment with Francine Pierce, otherwise known to her friends as Franny. You thank the receptionist and head upstairs to the Junior level where Juniors start practicing on their own without advising. An interesting book on the ways of science fiction and military technology, but it also covers some interesting points with the development of Infantry doctrine. How the early Infantry were mostly draftees from a village, up until the professional soldiers of the later eras. It’s definitely an interesting read.> The Soldier of Tomorrow: Progress: 10%You lean back in your chair, sighing and looking around. Kitten seems restless but at least she’s not fallen asleep. Then, the door to the back opens. Franny, Naval Studies Medical student, steps out and greets you both warmly. “Trudy! Kitten, it’s good to see you both again! I trust you’ve kept good care of your teeth while I was gone?”You nod. “Of course, Franny, wouldn’t dream of getting a root canal and having to get my gums split open.” Kitten flushes a little.Franny nods. “Oh, I must tell you, it’s been dreadful dealing with some of the Freshmen. These columns of infantry were made to formulate breakthroughs with sheer weight of numbers. However, as the Napoleonic Wars continued on, the Attack Column would later be rendered obsolete by tactical guile from Napoleon’s well known opponent Arthur Wellesley, better known as the Duke of Wellington.“… in order to counter cavalry, Infantry would form a Square formation, often hollow on the inside but could be filled with men in order to better take on a charge of cavalry. This square formation was intended to make sure cavalry would not try to simply go around the side of the regiment and flank, and was virtually on all sides invulnerable, especially in groups. The square formation was what saved Wellington’s infantry at Waterloo against Ney’s cavalry charge.”You feel you’re almost done with the historical context portion of the book, but the more you skim through, the more historical context there is. >>29114609To expand on what I said, paper trail typically refers to the Red Tape of government. Given that every expense is paid for from somewhere, you can follow all the receipts, papers filed and movements of individuals or groups to find out what is going on if you have enough dedication to it. With regards to the Academy ship, shutting down an entire ship is not easy feat. The only reason the students don't know is because they don't care to find out. Actually finding out that information should be trivially easy. There would be a place for the ship to dock for either storage or to be broken apart, various forms to be filled out, government processes, what have you.

Nicole’s a real life saver on pointing out some flaws in our techniques.”Cathy smirks. “She still thinks Melodic is better than Scruggs style, Tara.”“Well,” Tara puffs her cheeks. “She don’t know shit about the Banjo! I can play Foggy Mountain Breakdown so well that people start paddling canoes in the opposite direction!”You quirk your brow. “Banjo?”Tara nods. “Yeah, Banjo. You know, it gets a bad rap for being a hillbilly instrument but I love the darn thing to death, it can be accompanist, lead, all that stuff! > YCathy strums her guitar, and Tara plucks a string on her Banjo in response.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jBF1dcTlcMCathy says to you, “Now, this is a little piece called Dueling Banjos. Despite the name, most people usually do it with a guitar and a Banjo, adds some flavor to it.” Cathy strums her guitar again, to which Tara strums a chord in return.Ashleigh says, “Dueling Banjos is kind of like a game. One person plays a tune, the other responds, and it gets progressively faster and faster until one person can’t keep up.”Cathy slowly plays the tune of Yankee Doodle, to which Tara finishes it. Right about now, the music playing has caught the attention of other freshmen, who look on with anticipation. The two begin playing notes at a faster pace, then faster and faster, until they start playing together and off one other. You and Kitten are amazed at Tara’s speed, how she deftly moves her fingers from string to string, and her strumming hand plucks the strings individually like that. People begin clapping and stomping their feet in tune with it.Suddenly, Cathy stops and says, “I’m lost!”Tara continues playing, grinning from ear to ear. She then flourishes right into the finish, whooping in joy. Nearby Freshmen applaud and shout.Cathy waves to them, “Thank you, thank you. Release an album.”“Ah, no offense but that’s a stupid idea,” says Cathy. “Much as we know how to play instruments, we have no idea how to actually write songs. Never occurred to us now that I think about it.”“Well,” you say. “Maybe we could help?”Andrea looks over at you. “How can you help us?”“Help you form a band, go legit. They used to carry airplanes don’t you know.”“Really?” you say, “Didn’t know that.”Nancy nods. “It’s really interesting. Both of them are almost as old as Lafayette. > Converse Casually> Talk Tanks“So, the Macon and the Akron can carry tanks?”Nancy nods. “The principle is that they use a lot of vertical lift engines to keep aloft. It wasn’t always like that, in the 30s the Macon and the Akron were just regular Zeppelins carrying a couple of biplanes for recon purposes. They were actually part of the inspiration for Crimson Skies!”“Well, that I can appreciate,” you say.Lisa says, “Say, you guys want to know something?” You and Nancy look at Lisa, curious. “So, apparently I read somewhere that the tracks on a tank actually remain stationary. The tank moves forward, but the track remains in the same place until it’s rolled up, whereupon it’ll move at twice the speed the tank is going.”Nancy nods, enthralled. “I’ve heard of this! Really interesting principle to consider. I wonder if the Aces know it.”You say, “Well, tell it to them when we shove off. Speaking of which, Nancy, do we have transport arranged?”Nancy nods. “ITL’s provided some transportation for us, it’ll arrive at the airport at around 4:30 or such. So we got time.”You nod. “Great.”ALARMWhoopsie. Time for PE then. You say goodbye to your staff and allow Kitten to return home, then move on to PE Class. > SoccerYou decide on being the team carry once again. You put Willie Hanna on the goal, and Nicole Grant… somewhere. It occurred to you that you don’t actually know much about Soccer beyond, “Use feet only” and “Get ball in goal.” That’s not exactly informative but it’s better than nothing. You immediately run the ball through the other team, passing it occasionally to someone who actually knows what they’re doing, but they always pass it back to you. You manage to score a lucky goal your first shot in, the ball bouncing off the goalie’s hands and into the goal. The second time is not all that difficult either. You run through the side, and although you’re practically surrounded, you manage to kick the ball through a Freshman’s legs, strafe around her, then swipe the ball right into the goal. The rest of the match goes smooth as pudding. With that, you all hit the showers. Willie Hanna talks to you about the animation she’s working on.“So, basically, it’ll just be a regular short. 2D animation, kind of limited in that sense but we’re hoping it’ll get the point across.”You nod. “Great! When’s it going to be ready?”“Well, if everything permits, two weeks from now,” she says.“Ah, alright.”“Anyway,” Hanna says, “Good luck with the Tank Meet tomorrow. I know it’s real important to you.”You nod. “Thanks, Hanna. Tell the Animation Club I said thanks, okay?”She nods back, smiling. “Okay!”[1/2]
>>29117269[2/2]With that, you head onto Theatre Class. Not much happens apart from the Professor stepping out and thus Roberta and her cronies reverting back to improve games. You sigh, you thought you were over that. You were completely wrong.History Class as well is pretty boring. You make the occasional small chat with Jane Keegan and Jeanette Smith, and they both seem excited for the Tank Meet tomorrow. However, they seem more concerned that they’re going to visit The Tank Museum.“While I don’t consider myself a fan of tanks,” says Keegan, “I can appreciate some nice history, guided tours, and other stuff that museums provide.”With that, History class is over and gives way to French class. Your French class is relatively boring today, with nary the entertainment but the education of learning how to conjugate verbs and use nouns properly in the feminine and masculine forms.ALARMSchool’s out.“President!” You meet your staff and Kitten out on the campus. “Ready to head to the Airport?”> Y/N> Other

> Talk to the Aces“So, Octavia, Wendy, how are you two holding up?”Octavia and Wendy are sitting in the seats behind you, and Octavia says, “Pretty good all things considered.”Wendy says, “Wonder why that ITL Official drives a Panzer I. Machine gun for armament, paper thin armor.”“Well, the Panzer I was the important stepping stone on getting towards tanks like the Panzer II all the way up to the Tiger, Wendy,” says Octavia. “Plus, it makes a great scout, fast and agile.”“Eh, I’d prefer the Panzer II. It can at least put up a fight,” says Wendy.Octavia says, “Anyway, I’m guessing you’re not at all nervous for the Tank Meet?”You shake your head. “Not at all, it should be a snap getting everything together. Who knows, maybe we’ll meet some new people, make some friends. And hey, you two should have a neat reputation.”They all shrug. With that, the bus appears to arrive at your fabulous hotel. All of you dismount and immediately look in awe at how huge it is. It’s even more illustrious on the inside, fountain, grand staircase, weird modern architecture, a SPORTS BAR.Ashley slides into your view. “Let me lead you all to your rooms! Keep in mind, some other Tankery teams have arrived before you, so please mind them, will you?”You nod. “Of course.”You’re all lead to your rooms. Each crew has their room. You see that they’re mostly doubles. It’s like being at the Hotel before having to go to MEPS. Ashley leads you into your room, another double. Two large beds for your five man crew. Ashley says, “Right, good night! Breakfast will be free in the morning!”Everyone begins unpacking, chattering idly.> Freshen up> Talk to Someone (Specify)> Read a Book (Specify)> Study a Tankery Team (Specify)> Call Someone (Specify)> Other

>>29119536I understand, but think of it this way: You know a guy who loves to drink vodka. He asks if he should start handing out vodka, and you tell him "No, there's enough vodka around as it is," and someone else says "why don't you try to mix in some OJ with yours?" to the dude. You might not like screwdrivers, you might think they're the worst kind of mixed drink around, but it's not going to harm you if Senor Shit-taste decides to make his out of the off-brand vodka you weren't going to drink anyways.>>29119693> Freshen upGotta look good for them judges.
> Freshen up“Kitten, let’s go!”“Go where?”“Take a shower!”“But-“ You take Kitten by the wrist and lead her into the bathroom. “Okay then.”The both of you disrobe then start up the shower. You both get to scrubbing and washing in the most efficient manner, at least you do, Kitten’s just doing it because you told her to. Once you’re finished with yourself, you work on Kitten.“Do we really have to take showers together?” she asks.“Only until you learn to take care of yourself more, honestly. Not brushing your teeth? Not washing your hair? You’re a wreck, Kitten!” you say.“Whatever, just get it over with,” she says she simply stands there as you scrub down her body. With your shower complete, Kitten gets dressed out in some pajamas that Nancy secured for her while you simply go with the shirt from your uniform and your panties. Kitten says, “Risky, Trudy.”“Hey,” you say as you lie forward on the bed, smirking. “Nancy sleeps in the nude, why is this risky?”> Head to Sleep> Talk to Someone (Specify)> Read a Book (Specify)> Study a Tankery Team (Specify)> Call Someone (Specify)> Other

> Read a Book (Anyone Can Cook)You power through Anyone Can Cook again, this time more or less focusing on the safety and technical aspects involved in cooking. At this point you’re reminded why you don’t necessarily reread books all that often: you hate repetition. Regardless, if you’re going to learn how to cook without burning down the building you’re in, you might as well keep all this stuff to heart.> Anyone Can Cook: Progress: 140%You look over and WHOA NANCY“Nancy, why are you taking your underwear off?”Nancy is in the middle of pulling her panties down when she says, “I told you, I sleep in the nude.”“… yeah but-“ You’re confused and slightly aroused at the same time, “We’re in a hotel.”Lisa shrugs, settling into her bed which she’ll be sharing with Nancy and Ramirez. “Eh, let her do her thing, it’s not like she’s going to molest us in her sleep.”Nancy nods. “Yep!” She hops into the bed and pulls the covers over herself. “Anyway, good night to you, President. Hope to see you bright and early for tomorrow.”“Yeah, yeah,” you say, putting the book away. You slide the covers over yourself and then yawn. That plane trip must have taken a lot of you. Kitten slides in and cozies up next to you.“Welp, we’ve got quite the day ahead of us tomorrow, Trudy,” Kitten says, lying down on her side and looking at you expectantly.> Boast> Neutral> Polite
