Welcome ladies and gentlemen to another edition of Succubus Lord Quest, Christmas Edition!Last time on Succubus Lord Quest, we had a small session where we had a quick visit to Arum on the status of the new Succubi village import in action, where you agreed to make it mainly about the Miyians in an effort to get on their good side. After which you went to the Ayarian village, where things there appeared to be a little worse for wear with the status of their dilapidated village and open slave pens. Ironically, getting to see Rebecca is amazingly easy, due to the open door policy Queen Janine originally had. So after going to the cafe and taking a bath, we’re off to see the Ayarian Leader! Also the second post was an ugly post with lots of eyesore text, which is now all compiled here!https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Um4gk-JN4CHFJJdQrJjfbzg6Q8FHcmfxP8sRDhaf-FI
[1/2]After getting freshened up at the Ayarian bathhouse (Which was a little too spartan for your tastes), you decide to head off to meet Rebecca. “This seems a little too... convenient in a way.” Stacy says as you climb up the stairs to the Ayarian government building.“How so?” you ask.“Compared to seeing the other leaders, we either needed connections or a point in the right direction with the case of Fredika.” Stacy replies.“Seeing Rebecca is one thing. Earning her trust is another matter completely.” Wilhelmina replies as you enter the governmental building.“Lady Browning?” the secretary asks as you all enter.“Yes, I am Lady Browning and these are my companions.” you reply. You fell out of the trap of calling yourself ‘Sir’, though you’re still not used to your own voice.“Follow the guards, they’ll lead you to the audience chamber.” The receptionist says, showing you to two guards who are unharmed, but they’re probably Ayarians who are focused in psychic powers. As you’re being led through the building, you can see the interior being an odd mixture of Old World and current world. Naturally many of the repairs in the building are using the shoddy new age materials, but you can see that the materials in this place seem to be old even by Old World standards. Battle damage can be seen scattered around the area, but most of the time it trying to be tastefully covered up by decorations such as paintings of the previous Ayarian leaders, family crests, pottery, and other elaborate decorations.
[2/2]As your group heads in deeper, you both come to a pair of well maintained large Oak doors, the doors seeming to part mysteriously as you all come to enter them. Inside appears to be that of a large dining room, filled with fancy chairs in various conditions as does the table. At the end of the table, you can see a woman sitting in what appears to be a rather massive chair with the same green tint from Queen Janine. Sitting in the chair however is not Janine. A woman with curly pink hair hanging from her head, a serious expression on her face. Amazingly having the same body type as Janine, even dressed in the same sports bra and trenchcoat combo as Janine wore inside of the prison. You figured Janine only wore those clothes because she didn’t have much inside of the prison, but seeing Rebecca dressed in such clothes makes you wonder.“The clothing is a copy of Queen Janine’s yes. I wear them to boost morale of the troops.” Rebecca replies to you. “Pleasure to meet you Lady Brooklyn, my name is Rebecca Healman.”Oh great she’s reading your mind again.“Why? Do you have anything to hide?” she asks, shifting her stance in the chair so that her palm rests atop her cheeks.
"Don't we all?"
[x] Naked sweater. When you feel like lounging and booking and can't be assed to put on clothes
woo Xmas succubutt'ing>>29065359everyone does, and i'm sure she does too
“Everyone does, but I’m sure you do as well.” you reply.“That is very much true Lady Brooklyn, very much true.” Rebecca replies.“Nice to meet you Rebecca!” Mina pipes up. “My name is-”Rebecca raises her hand. “Don’t worry, I know all of your names already. So why don’t you have a seat and tell me the details of your diplomatic visit here.”“How do you know which one of us is which?” Stacy asks.“Your minds were calling it out. You also took a mental defense potion, I can tell. Aether is precious in times of war, and I do not wish to do a deep scan when we can have diplomacy as proper demons could otherwise have. So please, take a seat so we can begin our talks.”...Well so far so good. You were afraid that she was going to be a oh crap right she can hear your thoughts.“Don’t worry Lady Brooklyn. If anything I take my own sort of Pride in the fight against the Pride Demons. I am not ashamed of my actions in the slightest.” Rebecca replies full of confidence.
>>29065866"Fort hope. Heard of it?""Near the Fort there's an old town. There was some trouble clearing it out. Necromancer and what-not. But, onto business. I want to set up a succubus town, and I want you to run the people smuggling end of the place."
>>29065951Honesty is best.
"Fort hope. Heard of it?" you ask.“No. Some out of the way town?” Rebecca asks.“It’s considered the Nothernmost town up in the North, at least before the weather becomes inhospitable for the majority of life.” you explain. “Near the Fort there's an old town. There was some trouble clearing it out. Necromancer and what-not. But, onto business. I want to set up a succubus town, and I want you to run the people smuggling end of the place."Rebecca leans back into her chair as she goes about thinking this. “...So you say it’s a remote huma- ex-human settlement?” “That is correct.” you reply. “We already have Arum supplying the underground train to the settlement. I merely wanted to know if you would be able to supply additional support to this endeavour.” “Normally I’d refuse as my supply lines are taxed as is, but I think we can some sort of agreement to such a thing yes.” Rebecca asks, but then a warm smile spreads across her face. “Quite a few Ayarans wish to depart this place, and even a small handful would be a large boon to us. Thank you very much for bringing this matter to my attention Lady Brooklyn.”
>>29066131"My pleasure, Rebecca. We'll also need to mix in humans as well, so do be sure to include anyone who's simply looking for a better life."Should we do the queen ritual to let her meet Janine? Or is she the really untrustworthy one? Oh god I've forgotten everything.
>>29066131Do we duck out, or tell her about the big seekrit that might improve this area of town?
so what are our plans regarding giving knowledge of the queens status to Rebecca? also wasn't she the one being all terrorist'y and whatnot, we might want to be careful about who she sends through the underground train
>>29066210oh god if we tell her and she fucks up she might figure out that the shrine is near fort hope oh god what if the others explore and find it jesus christ this is not a good idea aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh
>>29066210Rebecca is known for being an extremist freedom fighter according to the other leaders you've met.
>>29066309do we recall any of Janine's thoughts on such matters?
>>29066329you didn't contact Janine about Rebecca IIRC. She wasn't alive during Janine's time. The only viewpoint you know of is of Mary's
>>29066329Do we WANT to recall when she can hear?
>>29066358good point>>29066357hmm, if we dont have any other business here, maybe we should talk to Janine about Rebecca and her clans situation when we're in private (at home), and if need be we can talk to Rebecca again at a later time if we want to tell her about the queens
>>29066210Including non-slave humans. Speaking of slaves, what is the deal with the human cage? Lack of housing?
>>29066522>HUMANCAGEThat was it!I knew I'd forgotten something
>>29066358Can we start thinking the Ghostbusters theme just to throw off her mind control?
>>29066522>>29066573wut, im drawing a blank in my sleep deprived state
“If you don’t mind me asking, what’s with the the slave pen out in the town?” you ask.“Oh, we just sell human slaves to the Succubi who live within the village.” Rebecca replies.“And people are fine with that?” Katlin asks.“Why wouldn’t they be? The slaves in the front are usually programmed mentally to be quiet while on the curbside. It’s a rather large business and brings in a fair amount of revenue for the town, so I see no reason to change what Queen Janine originally started herself.” Rebecca replies. You can tell the twins are trying on their best poker faces for this. Mina doesn’t seem surprised, and you cannot tell what Wilhelmina feels.
>>29066358Can we just sigh, tell everyone other than Becca to get out, and do the ritual? It always fixes our problems.
>>29066628"That's um...I'm going to have to say no to that and to slavery in Succutown."
>>29066663Not in this case, since Rebecca has no personal link to the queens, besides, we'll get fired if we keep offloading most work to the bosses.
>>29066628"I was raised by mortals and have had many mortal friends. Slavery in general has always been a big issue for me."
>>29066628"I... understand your position. While I myself have strong feelings on slavery in all of its forms and ways, I am not so naive as to demand it's abolition outright. Rather, I would like to raise your clan's position to one where it is simply not needed. That is part of the reason I am here today."
>>29066628Yeah, about that slavery thing. Some of us were raised by mortals. Can we not have any in the succubut village? I'm fine as long as you keep it here.
>>29066628let us work out the various contact details and other things regarding business. On the business of the slaves, simply state that since we are trying to keep it on the down low the human residence of the town are opposed to slavery... probably because the local snow bandits have been selling the people taken from the area To the Ayranans...
"I... understand your viewpoint, but my friends and I were raised by mortals and have many mortal friends. Slavery in general has always been a big issue for me. Slavery won’t be allowed in the town, but this is mainly because we don’t want the nearby Fort Hope to draw ire or too much negative attention to the town.” you reply.Rebecca sits back in her chair as she hears this, seeming to think very hard about this. “...Yes I can see the point in this. Owning slaves as a mortal is a tad bit more difficult, and any Succubi caught outside of designed Succubi areas are usually in trouble. I’ll make sure to it that no slaves will be there in the town.“Inquiry, how do you get your slaves?” Wilhelmina asks.“Usually snow pirates sell them to us or some slaver and raider caravan. Pride Demons sometimes sell them to us as well.” Rebecca replies.“...You actually have a deal with Pride Demons?” you ask.“Of course not! We only do it with front organizations and always make sure we get the better deal of the transaction.” Janine replies.
>>29066895>Janine replies.Oh hai thereI think thats pretty much what we want business wise, maybe get Rebecca's opinion on the other clans, their leaders and their situations, good to build a picture of who knows/likes/dislikes what/who
>>29066895>Snow piratesUrge-to-kill-risingNow that business is taken care of, can we leave and begin the next stage of our plan (I think it was to avoid the gang war and talk to the Miyan leader.)
>>29066966DerpShould be Rebecca replies.
>>29066966Seconding this.Does she have any angle to help with the Miyians? Getting that tech v magi war sorted soon is a good thing.
>>29066966this, then >>29067001Though in regards to the Miyans, could we ask Amanda to send the offer to the Miyan Leader? Arum and Ada will be the ones effectively running the operation, so technically, It is a Lamian project, and I believe that the Lamians were neutral in the gang war...That way, if the Miyans get in on the project, Then Amanda can either represent us, or arrange a meeting....
>>29067156Amanda could go with the twins and Erika, switch up Protagonists, try not to spaghetti everywhere, lay down the offer, then arrange a meeting with us.Should be easy.
>>29067189Why not everyone but Brook and maybe Wilhelma? It'd be nice to see how they interact with each other.
[1/3]“Do you mind sharing what your opinion on the other clans are like?” you ask.“I won’t be softening up what I think of the Okarians.” Rebecca warns you.“I’d rather have one’s honest opinion than even a white lie.” you reply.“The Okarians are indeed our sisters in arms, and there is no question that without them the Ayarians would severely handicapped in the face of magic. At the same time I think their secretive nature of hoarding magic and books does nothing but make the race head towards the same fault as the Greed Demons have. The additional problem of them not sharing their library resources under the guise of ‘protecting’ people also raises additional concerns. I could get an Okarian in this town to check out a book for me yes, but the Okarians should just open the library publically to someone. It doesn’t help that their first Queen, Oksana, was far too lax in ruling them. She has utterly disconnected from her people, and as a result the clan pays the price as it does with a complete lack of unified leadership.” Rebecca replies.“The Subota’s did seem to have a firm grasp on things.” you reply.“Yes, but the very instant you ask an Okarian to do something risky, such as any form of combat, they WILL back down and begin to splinter. Same goes with anything not aligned with the interests of their race as a whole.” Rebecca replies. “Laminians, for as much as I revolt at the thought of their near anarchy of a town, do actually have a strong central leadership. Laminians are very loyal to their leader. The fact their leader doesn’t have to prove their strength worries me, but Laminians were always a queer sort of race.”
[2/3]“What about Belkarians?” Mina asks.“My opinion of them may change very soon actually. If you asked me only a few days ago, I’d claim they were falling to the same hubris of Pride Demons. Loyal and trustworthy, yet able to be manipulated like clay. I found the fact of the Envy Demons and Pride Demons making underhanded movements to lead them by the nose more pathetic than anything else. However with Fredika back in charge, I suspect a bout of housecleaning will be in order. Her newly restored Pride as a Knight of Queen Purple herself wouldn’t allow her do anything but that.” Rebecca explains as she begins to lean back into her chair a bit more.“Gemelli?” both the twins ask at once. “Between them and Okarians, they’re the ones that changed the least in my opinions. We Ayarians like to claim our detection abilities are good, but they make us appear nearsighted, and nearly any other demon blind. I find their detection abilities make them nosy by nature however, getting used to their senses and then tracing down things they don’t know of. I do worry about using Gemelli soldiers in battle due to their twin link, but their role as bodyguards or inspectors are without peer. Plus the warrior Gemelli would get offended about anyone holding back for such a ‘trival’ reason.” Rebecca replies. “Miyians?” you then ask.
[3/4]“It was said that Miyians and Ayarians were the first amongst equals in the Old World, but now both of us are left in ruins. Miyians lost nearly all of their infrastructure. Their university, while potent, is a way for the Pride Demons to keep tabs on them. The Pride Demons know this, and they are forbidden from permanently wiping out any clan due to oaths swore to Empress Pamille long ago. Beck doesn’t completely suffer from the shortsightedness that the rest of her clan does however. She’s well aware that her university is a means for the Pride Demons to keep tabs on and control the inventions and science the university produces. Anything that the Pride Demons don’t like, the university quietly attempts to extinguish them. Beck decided to take the route of submitting to the Pride demons only partially, similar to the Okarians. I disagree with her tactics, but I respect her ever since she explained her stance to me over dinner once.” Rebecca explains.“The Aides?” Stacy asks.“Aides are fine as they always have been. They rarely need to adapt, because their ridiculous endurance allows them to weather nearly anything thrown at them. Their pyramid structure does have some room for corruption, but when used properly it becomes near impossible to try and control them. Given that they are the Succubus with the most numbers, the Pride Demons are right to assume that any assault on Old TO will be forced into a long and difficult siege simply by the Aides alone. However I do radically disagree with Matriarch Ishtar’s blending of religious and politics. Even I am a member of the church and disagree how she gets her duties as a Matriarch and as a leader of her clan mixed up. Unfortunately the Aide stability plays against me here, as convincing her is also akin to breaking down a mountain as a mortal with your bare hands.” Rebecca states.“And the Ayarians? I understand the answer may indeed be a bit biased.” you reply.
[4/4]“You’d be right to assume that. While I do believe that all Succubi are critical for the survival of our kind, I believe that Ayarians are indeed a first among equals. Unlike other races we have very little cons and very strong powers. Yes we may not be able to use magic, but that’s only a real problem in a handful of cases. We were the political voice of the Succubus race and had a Queen in where the other Succubi Queen agreed that she’d indeed make the best new Empress for our kind. However we are only a shadow of our former selves now. Cast down from the Old World. What I want and intend to do is no secret. I intend to restore the former glory of the Ayarians and the Succubus race and cast down the invaders who have took over our race’s capital world. Indeed there are several brainwashed high power Ayarians the Pride Demons have captured, but I do not intend to let them stand in my way.”
>>29067713TrynottothinkaboutqueensLeave, and get ready to send the younglings into the potentially dangerous Miyan zone.
>>29067713seconding >>29067729also on>Trynottothinkaboutqueensmaybe just limit it to some offhand remark about how similar she an Janine are despite them never meeting.on the subject of who to send to the university, I think we should limit it to as few people as possible, so Amanda, plus maybe 1-2 others to help her out/send message if shit hits the fan
>>29067765Why limit it? It'll be better if they're all as a group. Team bonding, and it'll be a lot safer. Brooklyn also gets some glorious free time to practice teamancy.
>>29067729>>29067765>>29067790The last option is to chug the Ayarian potion, go to sleep, then wake up as an Ayarian go into the Miyian university without fear as you'll be an Ayarian, not an Okarian.Hooray abuse! But if you want to try and different person, that's also fine.
>>29067845oh you cheeky bugger, right then switching from >>29067765 to >>29067790 & >>29067845
>>29067862Eh, chug the potion? We have a limited amount of those, and the girls will be fine by themselves.Let them take care of things.
OK then, preparing to leave then
>>29067892point taken, lets leave the Okarians home to play while the others have ADVENTURE
>>29067845When we head back we ought to explain to Wilhelmina why we have such a major issue with slavery and killing humans.
“Thank you for your time leader Rebecca.” you reply sitting up with a curtsy of respect.“No, it’s I who should be thanking you. A private village for Succubi is a fairly big deal for our kind.” Rebecca replies. And with that, you all begin to head off back to your home. By the time you get back, it’s nearly 10:00 PM at night. As you get ready preparing for bed, you can hear a knock on your door.“Yes?” you ask through the door.“It’s Wilhelmina.” Wilhelmina replies on the other end of the door.“Good timing, I was about to head to bed. Be there in a second.” you say putting on a new bra, before heading over to open the door.As you open the door, you can see Wilhelmina looking up at you right away with her blank poker face. “I wish to apologize earlier about my actions. I completely forgot your thoughts on human and spoke up without thinking at all. You must think of me as a heartless bitch right now.”Her voice is monotone and her face showing no emotion, but you can tell that she still feels like shit over this.
>>29068335"It is fine. Perhaps its time I explian a bit more of my history to you, and precisely who I intend to ask to teach you sword play..."
>>29068335Wow. You are really hard on yourself. Don't feel so bad about it. I don't really mind that you have different views to us.
>>29068335"It's alright, I don't blame you. I have come to realize naturally born succubi have a very different world view, than the converted ones."May also explain our past here.>Usually snow pirates sell them to usDidn't get to comment on this earlier, but damn! The twins could have easily been one of those slaves.
>>29068574>>29068574That'd be a long explanation. We could probably get her up to speed while the others are doing their solo adventure.
>>29068419Its night time, not like we have anything better to do.
>>29068419I like this. We should probably also teach herthe ritual so she doesn't have to depend on us for lessons. I wonder if we'll end up her damio or whatever by the end of the conversation.
>>29068762Gonna be bringing sister to airport, but I won't be long. Just a heads up the next update will be a bit delayed
>>29068335"Do you erm, want to spend some time on the bed with me?""We could chat, and other thing..."
>>29068335"If you were, you would not bother apologizing" "Regardless I do hope that you would think more of the mortals, even if it's just for your own benefit." "When mortals don't have to repress their personal feelings in order to become more cold and calculating about their survival, both us and them will flourish."
>>29068419we did tell her we'd tell her more of our story later... and now classifies as later...
[1/2]“Wow. You are really hard on yourself. Don't feel so bad about it. I don't really mind that you have different views to us.” you reply. "Regardless I do hope that you would think more of the mortals, even if it's just for your own benefit."“I know I know. It’s just that... It’s hard to shake the feeling. Remember Brooklyn I grew up on Pandora, a planet hostile to any form of life, let alone human. When I first became a Succubus, my parents had a celebration simply because it was so much cheaper and easier to feed us. All we’d need to do is simply go to the town keep and fill up on Aether.” Wilhelmina replies.“You fed using the Keep?” you ask.“Yes. Pandora is a planet with harsh conditions, but the overabundance of environmental energy makes it so keeps and nodes are in plentiful supply to the point where ever minor towns often have one in them if not nearby. It’s one of the reasons why the Pride Demons took over the planet. Succubi can feed on them, but the aether tastes horrible and lacks the proper nutrients for a Succubi in the long term. You won’t die, but you will become weaker. The only way for us to grow was to consume mortal aether, and believe me when you’re on a planet like Pandora, anything will do.” Wilhelmina replies. “In fact there is all sorts of problems as Succubi villages literally suck anyone dry who tries to enter them. We didn’t do that to all demons, but I know of a few villages that did.”
[2/2]“So you needed to consume mortals to survive?” you ask.Wilhelmina nods. “Food was a rarity, and the village needed the town protectors strong. This meant any mortals that came to our village were consumed as a matter of survival. I honestly feel uneasy around mortals as well. I often have no idea how to treat them or deal with them. Honestly it feels the same way as... A dog compared to a human in a way. A dog will have tricks, but a human will be able to do so much more than a mortal. In a sense I feel the same way when comparing mortals to demons. ...Oh no I’m offending you again aren’t I...”
>>29069778>When I first became a succubusWAITWHAT
>>29069808As the Queen's explained. Until puberty hits, Succubi are technically mortal. They have no powers *at all*
>>29069835Oh, right. I keep forgetting that.Assure her we aren't that offended, and lets go explain our backstory.
>>29069794"a more apt comparison would be a trained solider and a civilian. Your not wrong about mortals often being more limited, but its more a matter of personal power than anything else"
>>29069794"You are your experiences, Wilhelmina. But you are also you. Humanity may be capable of more then demons think possible and what would be the difference between the Pride demons ruling and the current Ayarians ruling?Rebecca doesn't care, or possibly she hasn't experienced what humans do with Snow Pirates. I wonder what would happen if she did. I may be saying too much, but the twins...they understand."
>>29069794"I kind of understand where you are coming from... Earlier I believed I told you I would tell you more of my past... Well, let me begin by saying that only a few months ago, I was a normal Human, and I died exploring some Old world ruins. The reason myself and some of my colleagues are unaware of the various cultures and mannerisms of the various clans is due to not really knowing much about it... In my case, I was lucky enough to find Mina in Fort Hope who helped teach me things like how to feed, how not to accidentally kill people when feeding...""Maybe you should participate in our Succubus Village Scheme? Try living in a small Human settlement, see them live their lives and make your own judgements. There should be a high enough Human to Succubi ratio so that it shouldn't be hard to get a good meal just from the atmosphere... I don't think I could have lasted had I been living here from the beginning... I guess I was lucky in that manner.."
>>29070317i would avoid telling her we used to be human. the conversion process needs a demon king/queen. and she does not know about them yet.
"I kind of understand where you are coming from... In my case, I was lucky enough to find Mina in Fort Hope who helped teach me things like how to feed, how not to accidentally kill people when feeding..."“...Wait. Inquiry, you said you were a human. You mean some high power Okarian turned you into an Okarian.” Wilhelmina asks.Hm... Should you tell her about the Queens?
>>29070604If we can't go back, we might was well use a communication ritual, and let her talk to someone who can explain everything.
>>29070604Well interesting story, but one that requires a little bit of setup....Who needs to tell her when we can show her
>>29070604"That would be correct... Now, I could either call her, but the line may be busy... OR, if you were willing to wait until my business here in Old TO is finished, I could Personally introduce you... Suffice to say, she is kind of a shut in... never gone outside in a few centuries...
>>29070604Do keep it a secret yes? I don't need pride demons up my ass asking questions about my parentage
“Well interesting story, but one that requires a little bit of setup... How about I show instead of tell?” you ask Wilhelmina.“Show?” Wilhelmina asks.“Come on in, I’ll show you.” you say encouraging her.As you invite her inside, you close the door and begin to prepare the ritual to summon the Queen’s.“Inquiry, what ritual is this.” Wilhelmina asks.“A... communication ritual of sorts.” you say as you begin to plan out to summon Purple. With Wilhelmina being a warrior, she’d most likely hold Purple in a higher light than Oksana. The ritual goes out as normal, summoning Purple’s presence at the end with large purple flames, materializing in her purple armour with large blade in front.“How goes Purple?” you ask.“Pleasant until I was interrupted from my meditation.” Purple replies.“...Wait. Who is this.” Wilhelmina asks.“I summoned you here today on her behalf.” you tell Purple, showing a hand over to Wilhelmina.“My name is Purple Dominga and I am the Queen of the Belkarians. And you?” Purple asks, just staring down at her.Wilhelmina looks at Purple for a few seconds, completely dumbfounded before her eyes roll back into her head and faints on the bed. “...Constitution could use some work.” Purple comments as she faints, arms crossed.
>>29071176So could her swordwork.
>>29071176"Think about it this way, Purple. She's Okarian and she had this response to you. Hopefully she'll wake up before the ritual ends.I wanted to say that Fredrika seems to be moving along nicely. She had a duel with Shiva and...well. Your plan worked."
>>29071176"I'll make sure to pass that on."
>>29071176"i'll tell her she needs to eat more greens, as in green aether, that is."
“So could her swordwork.” you reply.“Other Succubi always had to work harder than Belkarians. Our kind has a natural affinity for anything martial, but battle mages tend to have more flexibility in the field at least.” Purple replies."Also think about it this way, Purple. She's Okarian and she had this response to you. Hopefully she'll wake up before the ritual ends.” you tell her. “I wanted to say that Fredrika seems to be moving along nicely. She had a duel with Shiva and...well. Your plan worked."“Oh Shiva left her alive? Good. That was the part I was most uncertain of.” Purple replies.“I... don’t mean to tell you otherwise my Queen, but was fighting Shiva the best course of action? I mean looking back on the battle I could tell Fredika was strong, but she stood no chance against Shiva when when Shiva was goofing off.” you reply.“Whenever she stood a chance at victory is irrelevant. The point being is that Shiva was exactly the one who was needed to beat some sense back into her after her centuries long drinking binge.” Purple replies.“She’s... still in the hospital and won’t be getting up anytime soon, even with healing.” you tell her.“Minor sacrifice. She’ll thank me later.” Purple replies.(OK, gonna head to bed now. Will update thread some in the morning)
>>29071833I wonder if we should tap some sense into her, Wilhelmina. Tap being either on the cheek or something like that.
>>29071833Attempt to wake up Wilhelmina while doing our report to purple.
>>29076230>>29074080Seconding."You're the first one to faint, I think. "
>>29076327We should be nice.Or we could finish the report, wake her up, and then just let her connect the dots.
>>29076230I agree with this, but we should probably give her subconscious some time to process this. Maybe start off by rolling her onto her back, rest her head in our lap and fanning her with our wings? And if that doesn't cut it move on to gently poking her in the face with our tail until she comes to?
You head over to Wilhelmina, giving her a few pokes in the face, but she still doesn’t come to.“You may need some water.” Purple suggests.“I’m sorry milady. Wilhelmina has always looked up to you, so actually seeing you is a bit of a shock.” you reply.“I could tell just by the fainting.” Purple replies. You decide to go a bit further in your efforts to wake her, grabbing Wilhelmina by the shoulders and shaking her shoulders until she finally snaps wide awake.Wilhelmina slowly begins to wake up. “...Brooklyn... I had this dream where Queen Purple was in the room.”“That wasn’t a dream and I forbid you to faint.” Purple replies to Wilhelmina.“But... I...” Wilhelmina says in shock, her poker face cracking from her flood of emotions, her hands grabbing onto your side. “Brooklyn! Y-You mean to tell me t-that the Queen Purple made you into a Succubus! I-I-I thought they were dead! A-Are you telling me that they’re back!?”
>>29077326Well no, Oksana made me a succubus, she was that 'russian' mentor you saw. As for returned well that's the plan, once I take over earth anyways.
>>29077364That's oskana and the other queens. It was a group effort. Mind you, They were so low on aether that I'm not nearly as powerful as you'd expect. But yeah, I'm a demon lord, go me.
>>29077326"Oh, heavens no, that was Oksana who turned me into a succubus."
>>29077456That's just the right mix of condescending and hilarious.Do it.
would rephrase the take over as eventually liberate. trying to not overwhelm her as she just got a huge shock.
>>29077326"Quiet And No! I'm telling you the Queens are still alive and I was...converted? - sure, that works - both in order to save my life and for the purpose of restoring them and saving our race for the slow, self-canibalistic slide into mediocrity and death that the Pride demons have sentenced us to. I'm saying that there's a lot going on that I havent told you - hell, there's a lot going on that I'm not privy to - but I trust you and I trust your judgement. And that I thought it would be both to your benefit and the benefit of our race for you to meet Purple, to start explaining exactly what the stakes are in this game and to begin preparing you for what's to come. That's what I'm trying to tell you Wilhelmina, and that I'm glad to have you with me in this fight."[/Okarina Dramatic Speech Mode!]
>>29077429i suggest not mentioning the demon lord part as we technically have not earned our title yet. if brought up admit we are technically a demon lord but frankly as powerfully as an average succubus
>>29077483Seconding the use of the word "Liberate" and we should probably mention the freeing the queens as "allowing them to access this reality as the see fit" or something that doesn't imply an astral prison.
>>29077528No. The hiding of us being a demon is and has always been silly
"Oh, heavens no, that was Oksana who turned me into a succubus." you reply to her.“M-My Queen! I-I’m a large fan of you! I have tales of nearly all your exploits and deeds! You’re the entire reason I also dedicated my life to the way of the blade and battle mage!” Wilhelmina says as she continues to gush.“Hmhm.” Purple replies, eyes closed as she listens to Wilhelmina.“The... Other queens are still alive as well. It was a group effort. Mind you, They were so low on aether that I'm not nearly as powerful as you'd expect.” you tell Wilhelmina.“Y-Your armour is more impressive than I originally thought my Queen, and that’s the legendary Cyfis sword, the legion cleaving sword in reality itself!?” Wilhelmina asks as she continues to gush out.“Hmhm.” Purple replies as her eyebrow twitches.“Um... Wilhelmina...” you say, noticing that Purple is getting angry.“O-Oh of course! Such a weapon would never leave your side after all! Why would it be leaving now even with the condition y-”“Wilhelmina! You’re a battle mage! In the name of the Empress act with the proper dignity of one being both a battle mage and a ronin!” Purple barks out at her. You’re worried about this, as last time Purple got serious it ended up with someone close to her running out of the room cr-“Oh yes Queen Purple! I’ll gladly do what you say!” Wilhelmina immediately chirps up....Well that worked out. Maybe Wilhelmina is just a masochist then.
>>29077582So yeah. Think of betraying us, I'll have to kill ya, etcetera. I hope that explains a lot about... everything. Enjoy your training, serve the greater good. I'll be making some tea. All this freedom fighting tires me out.
>>29077528Really? Just tell her.
>>29077582>Maybe Wilhelmina is just a masochist then...I'm sure Brooklyn (/tg/) will be sure to test that out later...
>>29077582Since we're starting this mess (>>29077622) again, I've been meaning to ask whether we can "legally" have our title jacked (stripped by the local succumbs authority, lose it in a duel...that kind of thing)? I know the physiological subtype if just who/what we are and can't be taken from us, but titles are political so...
>>29077582"Well now that you know the secret you're in forever, or at least until I get rid of Arcticus." to Purple. "We contacted the Ayarians leader and other than the uncanny resemblance to Janine things went well. The only people left to contact are Ishtar, the Gemelli leaders and I got something to talk with prof. Beck without my clan interfering."
>>29077662If the Succubus knows you have that title and can beat the stuffing out of you, then yes they can take it. At least until you can beat her up to take it back.
>>29077662you think a title given to us by the queens can be stripped away by a local authority, when they don't even know of our title...for fucks sake, what is it with you people and the goddamn title, its a bunch of fucking words that mean nothing right now
>>29077582"You can now understand why i have been a bit evasive in the past. Heck i had to use a cover story when i met my own family, they don't even know i am a demon now. I hope that cover holds for a while excel will beat the crap out of me if she finds out."
>>29077697It's supposed to give us discount on buying skills if I recall.
>>29077662how about we don't mention it until its actually useful and it won't cause trouble you seemingly intend to get us into?
>>29077718and thats it, big woop, why the fuck do people constantly go "WE MUST DECLARE OURSELVES A LORD" or other stupid shit like that.its a fucking stat bonus that means nothing in any meaningful in-character way, and I wish people like >>29077662 would stop bringing it up again and being stupid about it
>>29077723I Agreed. reason why i posted to not to bring it up, in the future yes but right now it is a liability
>>29077697I think it will be useful later but right now it's likely to get us in a spot of trouble because >>29077696. I'm not saying we overly hid it, I'm just saying that there are a shit ton of mind readers in the city who we seem poised to do regular-ish business with. So maybe we shouldn't spread the whole title thing around too much until we can claim it by force if necessary. That's all I'm a saying, but I understand that it ain't gonna go that way.
Why do we want to hide it from Wilhelmina specifically? I fully understand why we don't tell random people about it, buft do people not trust her for some reason?
>>29077749Just saying that if we do fight we'll at least get experience, I want to buy that light control but at the rhythm we're getting it at the moment we'll still have bought nothing next year
>>29077804I feel the same. Ever since this new system got introduced, we have been progressing at the snail pace.Mind you, I don't think combat is the only way to get DP, so maybe we can just concentrate on practicing/training light control? Maybe that would give us a boost on learning it (discount or something)
"You can now understand why I have been a bit evasive in the past. Heck I had to use a cover story when I met my own family, they don't even know I am a demon now. I hope that cover holds for a while Excel will beat the crap out of me if, no when she finds out." you reply.“But yes. Brooklyn is a mortal. Just before his death he defiled my statue by pouring whiskey all over it.” Purple states.“Brooklyn! How could you!?” Wilhelmina asks in shock.“I was dying of blood loss and was drunk from both alcohol and pain! Can you really blame me!?” you reply to Wilhelmina. “Anyways, now that you know the secret, no telling other people about it or else we’ll need to kill you, the basic standard sort of thing.” “Y-yes! I swear upon my grave that your secret will be safe with me Brooklyn and Lord Purple!” Wilhelmina says getting on the floor and bowing so hard that her head literally heads the floor with a loud thud.“...Don’t hurt yourself when bowing.” Purple adds.“Y-Yes Lord Purple!” Wilhelmina replies.(Anything else you wish to ask/do?)
>>29077881give her an update to relay to the other queens about the progress in making the succubi town and the underground train
>>29077881"I want you to relay to Janine that while I'm sorry I'm not talking of this to her directly. We contacted the Ayarians leader and other than the uncanny resemblance to Janine things went well. The only people left to contact are Ishtar, the Gemelli leaders and I got something to talk with prof. Beck without my clan interfering."
>>29077881>>29077881Purple, tell the other queens we're making good progress. Can we do some light training? Delicious DP.That, or prepare an exquisite banquet of tea and tea-related snacks for when everyone else gets back after the mission to crazy town.
>>29077881Ruffle hair, tell her she's rather adorable without the mask.
>>29077881Can we talk to the Ayayan queen about the leader we just met? Get her two cents about how it went.
>>29077881Do you know if I can summon Oksana soon? Politicking never ends, I'm afraid."
>>29077881Give her the basic story of what we do for the queen and stuff.
"I want you to relay to Janine that while I'm sorry I'm not talking of this to her directly. We contacted the Ayarians leader and other than the uncanny resemblance to Janine things went well. The only people left to contact are Ishtar, the Gemelli leaders and I got something to talk with prof. Beck without my clan interfering." you tell Purple.“I’ll relay that information to her then.” Purple replies.“You mean the other queens are there with you!?” Wilhelmina asks.“Yes, they all are.” Purple replies.“By the way Purple, is there any sort of schedule Oksana’s daughters are using for the communication ritual?” you ask.“For a while they were literally calling her every time the ritual expired. Things have normalized somewhat, and they try to contact her at least once a day. Oksana is busy getting filled in by her daughters. Janine is also summoned on occasion to help with diplomatic efforts. Right now they’re hoping to solve the gang problem by trying to unite them, but that’s deep web of tangled threads. I’ll be letting them handle that sort of problem.” Purple replies. “Oksana is usually summoned at the nighttime, around 6 or so. Otherwise than that she’s mainly free in the early hours of the morning.”“Wow... The gang problem is being worked on by the Queens themselves?! I... I...” Wilhelmina says as he begins to hyperventilate.“You’re cute when your emotions show.” you say patting Wilhelmina on the head.
>>29078205"Oh right, while I'm at it. I won't be able to use the contact ritual while I'm having my discussion with beck and for some time afterward. It shouldn't cause trouble but if I disappear you'll know why."
>>29078205So do you want some time to digest, or just jump into training?Because dear god we need to train for more DP.
>>29078205"So yeah, I actually work for the queens as their primary frontman and field agent. Once this conversation is over I'll teach you how to perform the ritual as well so we have some redundancy. If you want to ask Purple any questions or get any fighting tips now is the time."
"So yeah, I actually work for the queens as their primary frontman and field agent. Once this conversation is over I'll teach you how to perform the ritual as well so we have some redundancy. If you want to ask Purple any questions or get any fighting tips now is the time." you tell Wilhelmina.“R-Right now!? B-But... I-I-I mean... It’s so sudden! I... I just don’t know what to ask!” Wilhelmina asks.“Then think about your questions and call me back later.” Purple replies.“Y-Yes Purple-dono! I will do that right away!” Wilhelmina replies.“And don’t use those honorifics.” Purple adds.“As you wish Queen Purple!” Wilhelmina replies.“Wilhelmina or I will let you know about an update of Fredika when more information becomes available.” you reply. “Very well. I’ll take my leave then Brooklyn.” Purple nods as she vanishes into thin air.Wilhelmina’s face still appears to be in a half daze as she watches purple disappear amongst the smoke from the candles. “That... That was really...”“Yup. That was a Queen.” you reply.“Um... Wow. I... My heart is still going.” Wilhelmina says as she places her hand over her chest, her voice tone now normalizing into the monotone pattern again. “So... Back when we met your sister, the reason she reacted so much to the woman statement wa-”“Yes. I was originally a guy. Is that a problem?” you ask Wilhelmina.Wilhelmina shakes her head. “No. If anything this explains your attitude towards mortals, and lets me understand a bit more. But... Inquiry, do you mind if I ask a personal question.”“Go ahead.” you reply.“Just how painful does it feel to get kicked in the balls?” Wilhelmina asks. "And don't erections cause problems with the fitting of your pants?"
>>29078603"Depends on how hard you are kicked, and not really no."
>>29078603To the second question, yes. For the first? Shortly before I was turned into a mortal, I was impaled with something massive and metal, pulverising several major organs and ruining most of my ability to do anything. It was the second most painful thing I had ever experienced in my years of mortal life. The most painful was that time my sister got a run up and just bought those steel toed boots and-Can we stop talking about painful memories?
>>29078636This not >>29078645
>>29078603"Life questions, dear. I'm sure there are arts and secret techniques to being a succubus, hmm? It's the same thing. You pick up...certain abilities when you're a man for most of your life.""Hmm, if you're really curious, could that Tryout potion turn you into a dude?"
>>29078645Too much detail.Although it's weird that she asks 'that' from an ex-guy, and not something that is actually personal.
>>29078603"Imagine being boob punched multiplied by a hundred."
"Life questions, dear. I'm sure there are arts and secret techniques to being a succubus, hmm? It's the same thing. You pick up...certain abilities when you're a man for most of your life." you tell Wilhelmina.“You mean like how if you flash a guy your boobs at a bar then you get free drinks.” Wilhelmina replies.“...Yes like that. As for how it feels... I’d probably say it’s... certainly up there, after recalling the incident with Excel getting Steel toed boo- It hurts. A lot. It feels a hell of a lot worse than a person groping your breast very roughly.”“That bad?” Wilhelmina asks. You only nod in responses.(Anything else you wish to do with Wilhelmina, or shall we skip to the next day?)
>>29079163>else you wish to do with WilhelminaYes.Get her to teach us succubus secrets Sexual secrets
>>29079223"Let's be honest, everyone who currently knows about the queens is either an immensely powerful leader, or someone I've slept with.Since you're not the former, how 'bout becoming the latter, eh?"
>>29079163"I'll teach you how to summon Purple, but a word of advice. You've heard of the character Purple in legends, but you haven't meet Purple the person until just now. Think about the difference between an actor and the character they play before you talk to her next."
>>29079485OK, next day it isDo you take the Ayarian Tryout potion or go to bed normally and send someone else in your steed? If so, which four characters do you wish to send? Note unlike the Okarian Library, the Miyian Library allows anyone except Okarians in
>>29079567We'll take the potion ourselves. I'd rather have that discussion personally.
>>29079567I really want to switch perspective.I think we can trust the girls not to FUCK UP HORRIDLY.I'm thinking Amanda as the leader, Erica and Leona coming with her, and Mina keeping an eye on them/being the muscle.Should be fine.
>>29079626I agree with this one, I would prefer to drink it ourselves
>>29079567...did we get a potion for Ada? I'm playing catch up at the moment (and dealing with Xmas shenanigans) so I haven't gotten there yet, but it seems like a good way to start yet more group in fighting and drama if we don't one of those for her.
>>29079626>>29079727God damn.If you're going to chugg the potion, remember to make sure that at least one of our companions has the summoning ritual memorised.
>>29079819We have the expired C-toxin containers, it should be enough and if it's not we're going to talk about the succubi village anyways.
>>29079313no>>29079223no>>29079414Yes, along with suggestions of steeling herself properly.
Very well. Girls switching it is then.I need to head out for family dinner in a bit, but I'll update when I get back. From what I heard, I assume people want to play as Amanda?
>>29079567Why don't we have Miyu summoned, so we know how to get Beck's attention discretely (Miyians well most likely still have magic around, but it may be unusual to use rituals).
>>29080670It would be interesting to play as her, and we haven't interacted with her lately.
>>29082782I'll bump your face.
humm.. just got back while amanda may be interesting to play out thinking we should at some point introduce ourselves to beck after we establish some good will. problem is that we don't take the penalty for being orkrian but it sort of kicks the ball down the road.
If we do play Amanda, HOW should we play her? She's used to getting what she wants, but she seems to have a good head on her shoulders.
>>29082870Her internal hierarchy of our group goes something like:1. Brooklyn2. Me3. Everyone elseSo we should probably keep that in mind.
>>29082870Basically, she's a rich researcher, and was trained to be a businesswoman. She can probably politic, but will probably not want to be ruthless (although she might slip into the habit occasionally without noticing).
>>29082930This, Brooklyn saved her from basically being sold away for a political marriage eventually.
>>29082851Also due to alot of actions that Brooklyn had taken along with miyu she seems to bee more open to helping others and rather than thinking how do i profit all the time. right now i would say businesses for her is more of a hobby/ something she enjoys rather than her life.
>>29082976And it'd be nice to see how she's been getting along in the College, whether she's getting shit for having an Okarian friend, that sort of thing.
>>29082870One thing that occurs to me. She probably has something to prove before she was turned, so frankly...Brooklyn asking her to do this would be a chance for Amanda to show how she's coming into her own abilities, how she's useful, how she wont fuck this up, and how she can handle her darker parts.
>>29082930I might switch 1 and 2 on that list. I mean yeah, Brooklyn saved Amanda and she's great full for that, but man it's hard to source materials for SCIENCE! And I'm sure Brooklyn would be fine taking a little hit for the team so Amanda could focus on that [Super Important Project] she's working on that will totally help with Brook's long term objectives. So really Amanda would just be better enabling herself to help us (Brooklyn) by helping herself. [/end Amandian rationalization]See what I mean?
>>29083148Well, it depends, Anon. Is this hurting others? Is this something that Amanda is comfortable with? We get to decide, based on how things flow.
>>29083148Nah. You're forgetting the fact that Brooklyn is the messiah, one who has a vested interest in Amanda. She not only saved us, but she loves us too.Teenage girls+love=crazy shit dude.
>>29083148Imagining amanda being more of an engineer than scientist. she looks at the practical applications of something is curious at how it theoretically works but as long as it works it is OK.would be a interesting foil to miyu whop seems more on the theoretical.
>>29083148Not really. Brooklyn's her friend, lover, savior, mentor and liege lord. Granted, that last one was established somewhat informally but it was established quite clearly.
>>29083202Hey I didn't say anything about hurting anyone, just that we didn't control her agenda while we were playing as Brooklyn and that Amanda's priorities might be different than Brooklyn's even if her goals are the same. I'm pointing that out now because I expect it to be there when we play her. Remember, at least on the face of things the whole Okarina/Miyian rift is a result of an inability to adequately share limitted resources. Of course I tend to think someone was nurturing and then fanning the flames of that feud, but that's me.
>>29083315Actually, I hope Amanda gets stuff for this. This isn't just a story about Brooklyn. And as for someone fanning the flames, who would, for what gains? Why would the Pride Demons do that?
>>29083315Brooklyn is still clearly the leader of the group. Also, Amanda is actually the only member of the group who we are explicitly a leige lord of in the eyes of the queens. Happened when her queen blew up with her and that whole mess happened.
>>29083275by informally you mean sandact initially forgot to include it, then awkwardly shoehorned it in later?
>>29083403I'm aware, but vassals generally have a fair amount of autonomy so long as they succeed in accomplishing their lord's ends. Look, I'm not trying to say that Amanda's going to backstabbing us. Unless we suddenly and for no reason decide to do something horrible to her, she isn't, what I'm trying to say (badly it seems) is that we might find out that her plan for helping Brooklyn inst the plan Brooklyn thought she passed to Amanda, and that that might (or might not) inconvenience our in the short run. That is all.
>>29083510Dude, don't bring that shit up on Christmas. It worked out in the end and that's what matters.
>>29083516Which will be interesting.
>>29083533This. If it means Amanda gets a chance to prove herself (which is what the original text Sand had SEEMED to suggest...), I give no fucks.
>>29083516I don't see her explicitly ignoring our orders. She might interpret them in an unexpected way or modify them in an unexpected way due to Murphy but she isn't going in a random direction.
>>29083589Excellent! Finally someone agrees with me.
>>29083551What I meant was "We got the liege lord thing in the end and that's what mattered." And yeah, it was about her proveing herself but some a lot of people wanted to use the opportunity to establish a formal leige vassel relationship and they succeeded.
>>29083690Yep. Thus if she fucks up all the blame/responsibility falls on us. And the queens will want to take her away for her own good.Love how that worked out.
>>29083708Hey, I want to play a demon lord. I'm just happy we finally got a vassal. Responsibility is one of the downsides of power.
>>29083756God, there was a famous catchphrase about this. With great power comes... a harem of sexy demon skanks? That can't be right.
>>29083756Eh, I would have preferred to nab an aide, but what's done is done.
>>29083793>With great power comes... a harem of sexy demon skanks?Truly this has been Brooklyn's singular lesson in all this.
>>29083827I fail to see how those are mutually exclusive. It's not like we are limited to one vassal. It would have been trivial to secure Wilhelmina's vassalige in our most recent conversation for example.
>>29083890Really? I think she's almost guaranteed to end up as Mina's squire (Mina being one of Purple's knights and all) whether Mina wants her or not.And it was more a comment on how I would have liked to build out our personal power base. Aides are the most reliable succubi to delegate things to, so if we gave one seniority we could have delegated the task of riding herd on everyone else to her. Not happening anytime soon so not really an issue any more.
“So you know what to do?” Brooklyn asks you as she pours you a cup to tea. “Of course I do Brooklyn! Please have a bit of faith in me! I’ve been to the university a few times and am a known socialite in circles!” you say reassuring Brooklyn. Technically only a few very small circles and you’ve barely started, but she doesn’t need to know that.“You learning anything from there? I was worried about the cost of tuition more than anything else.” Brooklyn asks you.“Brooklyn dear, if anything I’m able to pay for my tuition *and* make a sizable donation to the college.” You reply back to Brooklyn. “In fact I’ve learned quite a bit since I’ve got there myself.”Brooklyn should have a bit more faith when he deals with a Richardson! You have full confidence that you’ll have this task done before dinnertime!“...Still I want you to bring some people with you.” Brooklyn replies. “Ever since the Dragur, I don’t want to be taking any chances of it trying to get to me via other people.”(Special: Pick one of the superscience schools Amanda knows to automatically increase rank by one due to proper teaching*. Also, I gave Amanda a ton of DP, so go nuts with her. Lastly, pick three inventions Amanda would’ve had time to develop for herself using the schools as guidelines. Things such as glasses to improve eyesight, cloth that is as tough as armoured plate, etc...)*Yes, Brooklyn will have something like this eventually, so don’t get your knickers in a twist.
>>29083890Oh, speaking of that, I think I remember that there was opposition to turning more mortals into succubi before we left to visit TO. Is that still the case or now that we're planing to start a colony out at Fort Hope are transformations back on the table? (and yes I still just want to turn our maid into an Aide)
>>29083936She seriously considered becoming our vassal the first day we met. Now consider what we've done since. Mina may be one of Purple's Knights but we are her primary field agent and emissary, the one who led the rescue of Wilhelmina's idol, forgave her of her rudeness and got her private lessons with Purple. Oh, and we're a demon lord in our own right.
>>29084027Question: if I wanted to propose that Amanda created some sort of device that subliminally designated the wielder as a trusted ally to everyone wining a given range during combat (trying to work of her psychology rank), would that fall under Epikrato (external control), Elelixi ("improvement"/enhancement during repair) or neither?
>>29084090You had me until the last point. I'm pretty sure one of the queen's personal knights outranks a minor demonlord. Still, the rest of your argument holds.
>>29084153Ok. Now I have to weigh that against self-replicating non-sentient drones and self-repairing armor. Not easy.
>>29084027Powerful lazer gun. Needs to stay in brightly lit areas while charging. Dog hair has been known to fry the quantiumtatic field modulators and make the stereoscopic hadron isotopes get out of whack.Anti-gravity boots that allow fast movement. Due to the use of eridium core, the boots will overcharge and cause unpredictable behavior when near large pools of water, as everyone knows that sufficiently large bodies of water contain nutrient stores that counteract conversely with edridium anti-clockways. Finally a repulsar cloak that redirects kinetic forces back to their origin. It works though non-eclidian substructures that force gravitons slantways though the 9th dimension. Obviously that means that it won't work around indonesian house mold, I don't think I need to explain why.
Inventions:1. Minimal visibility power armor 2. Glasses of seeing shit3. Animated rapier setUpgrade:DefenseAlso, do the inventions include Booklyn's power armor?
>>29084195Making Ray guns needs KATASTROFI, or really anything that harms people. Many is good at making armour or things that increase the power of moves that people already have. Like making Mina stronger for example.
>>29084231Oh yes. Miyu's sheet in case people need a list of the powers.https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YpXFd26JtRt8qFIARE6OPeqdlbYjQN3vvZpLWo7qeXA/editAnd Amanda's sheet.https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-NpLAhW8YQxCQkRl_0CK-4NoafeV7PpJTH2QyqIbObs/edit
>>29084189I don't think we can make most of those. I know we can't make lasers
>>29084303Self Repairing armour is possible with EXELIXI and PROSTASIA
>>29084027Boost to ElelixiAdaptive armor - when warn the armor reshapes itself to better fit the user and automatically adapts to better protect them from the local environment. As these suits can repair themselves (relatively slowly) in battenhance enhance themselves to better defend against the type of damage they receive.Glasses of progressively improving vision. Not only does the vision of the wearer continue to improve while whereing these glasses, but overtime they may begin to see light outside of the normally visible spectrum. However, remove these glasses or close your eyes for more than a few seconds and any gains make by the user will vanish.Minion bots - very simple machines capable of self replication and physical (not software) improvement by command that are generally useful as extra hands during construction projects and larger experiments. This design may be further refined over time.
>>29084251hehehe that just makes the dog hair weakness that I thought up on the fly more funny. In which case can we get KATASTROFI
>>29084027Sorry but switching >>29084375 from Elelixi to Prostasia. Hadn't read the latter's "Good!" description until just now.
>>29084027School improvement; ProstasiaDP; 400Quick Learner (175)DP; 225Blacksmithing to GreatMathematics to Goodmaybe Physics to Great if we have enough DP left...Inventions;- Some form of self repairing armor- Some form of enhanced vision glasses, including things like dark-vision, flash resistance, maybe even a zoom function...- ???
>>29084316What would the DP cost of, say, electrical engineering be (only asking since Engineering's on Miyu's sheet) and what kind of a mechanical roll would it play?
may i suggest increasing rapier to great for 120 DP and dodge to great for 120 DP.want to increase KATASTROFI but we get so little for it so no.would be funny to have her using EPIKRATO to mentally attack people using psycho analysis. reducing them into a non hostile whimpering pile.
>>29084027For DP expenditure, seconding >>29084513.
>>29084610I support Rapier and Dodge. Maybe she can make wired reflexes later, be a better duelist.
While we got the inventions, who are we going to take with Amanda? As a reminder, Wilhelmina and Brooklyn cannot go.
>>29084027Assuming "training time" roughly corresponds to DP, supporting buying Quick Learner since it seems like a good long term investment. Also supporting the Rapier > Average since we need Amanda able to take care of herself in a fight.Maybe we can make a concealable rapier? To the untrained and unaware eye it is but a simple, and functional fountain pen, but twisting the cap like so will reveal that it is truly a full sized and extremely durable (and sharp) rapier! The ink may or may not be distilled from the blood of the vanquished...
>>29084728That sort of modification to a Rapier is possible yes
>>29084728Need KATASTROFI for good swords too. Which is why I wanted to raise it.
>>29084769Maybe, but we'd need two ranks for it to help the sword offensively. Boost our defense school by one, and suddenly we have a sword hat can cut through mental and magical attacks and is immune to accidental and intentional misshapening (cannot be magically or physically be made blunt, becomes even more resistant to breaking, notching, being permanently bent...). Yeah, this is one of those weird cases where defense is a superior offense. Sort of.
>>29084903Where are you getting all that?
hum perhaps bring Erika, Leona, and the last i am right now at a toss up of Ada or Sebastien
>>29084966The description for Prostacia (Great!). Didn't you read it?
>>29085019Anyone else think differently? Else I'm just going to use this.
>>29085243Erika and Leona are dependable. I am happy with that choice. Though I do want Mina around.
>>29085243Take Ada. Sebastien's survival trait would have him bail before he set foot in the place.Oh, and agreeing with taking Erika (remind her not to peer into SuperScience filled minds) and Leona. Reunite the trio!
>>29085311Good point.Amending >>29085351, leave Sebastien and Ada together to do Sebastien and Ada things, and hopefully cover each others' backs. Take Mina and the Langy sisters instead.>>29085243
>>29085102Yes, but it says nothing about being able to be used offensively. If fact I assumed that it meant it can't be used offensively, unless I'm incorrect?
>>29085458It can be used to defend the sword, right? That means that it keeps actively defending the sword (and at higher levels of investment, the sword's wielder) while said sword is being used offensively. What that boils down to is the fact that the sword is resilient against the offending aspect of the defenses it intercepts as well as the attacks it counters and blocks traditionally. Basically, the range of its offensive ability is very, very short, but up close it's surprisingly powerful.
>>29085555I don't think that is how it works, but what ever I'm not the one making these choices
>>29085555So, this would mean the blade would be highly resilient to sunder attempts or attempts to damage it. It doesn't mean it's an unstoppable force.
>>29085243Hey Sand, could we please get a ruling on >>29085555/>>29085660? Thanks.
>>29085687I'm thinking more an unmovable object that in reality is only unmovable withing it's own internal frame of reference, so yes I absolutely agree with your assessment that it would not constitute an unstoppable force.
>>29085555You can make a sword that works by floating in the air and blocking all shots yes, but making it attack people will need Automata or the damage purview
>>29085737Hmmm, so let's say a hyper defense sword is used against a psyonic barrier, are you saying that the sword's ability to resist psychic manipulation does not apply in this use?
>>29085823Yes as using something offensively vs defensively are two different things. Also that's how it was in the Genius book in where I stole these powers originally worked.
>>29085877So again I'm going to reiterate my support for started KAT
>>29085877Bummer. Swap one vote for Prostacoa for Elelixi and thanks to that anon that pointed out my folly.
[1/4]“No worries at all Brooklyn! I’ll be taking Leona and Erika with me. That alone should be able to deal with anything thrown at us. If we bring in Mina then we’ll only be assuring it.” you say reassuring Brooklyn.“...Very well, but do be careful at the university regardless. We don’t know what kind of person Beck actually is.” Brooklyn warns you.“Lady Brooklyn, you worry too much. Keep doing it and it’ll be bad for your skin!” you reply.“No, I also want you to be careful because I don’t want to get Christmas gifts for you and then have no one to give them too.” Brooklyn says as a warning to you. Oh dear lord... She just keeps on nagging and nagging doesn’t she... “Brooklyn, I reassure you that we’ll all be fine. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to be off to my room. I need to do some maintenance on my wonders before heading out.”
[2/4]After excusing yourself from the common room, you head back to your room to grab your inventions (or ‘Wonders’ as Miyians like to call them). First is a reworked mastercraft Rapier for yourself. You’ve upgraded it using your Richardson Alloy (Patent pending!). This sword, while no sharper than normal swords, should be able to withstand nearly anything thrown at it AND it also works by floating in the air in front of you, spinning around to make a field to deflect attacks automatically and also attack at range. You still need to use hand movements with your glove, but the weapon has amazing results for the field test. The second is a stylish pair of designer glasses. While you detest making knock-offs, these glasses have a built in Old World screen inside of them, with you actually able to replicate some of the functions. In addition to providing a general ‘enhanced’ vision where you can see in the dark, it also enhances your general eyesight. The last is a box of context cards. Lastly, it also acts as a mind shield, so Erika can stop reading your bloody mind all the time. After your original test with Brooklyn, you’ve refined these cards. While the emotional outcome of a person is unstable, the end result is that they will do what you want. However it only seems to work on a person *once*. Still, you think you have enough context cards to cover nearly any sort of contingency. All of these things elaborately decorated, of course. After packing up all your belongings, you head out to get the girls.******
[3/4]“Ugh... The day is so horrid...” Erika says as she pulls her scarf up higher.“...Is it really that bad?” Leona asks, wearing only a sweater.“Yes Leona, it is -37 celsius.” you reply pulling your scarf up higher as well. You make a mental note to yourself to use superscience to make your clothes warmer, or at least resist these extreme temperatures. Then make a separate note to patent then sell them later.“What’s -37 celseeus?” Mina asks.“Very very cold.” you reply to Mina, keeping it simple for her simple mind.“Are we nearly there Amanda? I don’t care what Brooklyn wants, the first thing I want to do is get in front of a fireplace.” Erika replies behind her scarf.“Oh relax. We’re already here.” you say coming around a corner, showing what appears to be the Miyian university. With the expansive campus of nearly an square kilometer, you’re fairly certain that it beats out the tiny Okarian library that Brooklyn was always telling you about, that that fills you with a sense of Pride. Large buildings, some of them nearly five stories tall, are seen towering amongst the New World buildings that are squatted around the campus. While there are many Miyians around the area, many Miyians are those of the ‘vulgar’ type. Going about their activities in unrefined and barbaric solar structures that aspire to nothing more than being petty thugs. At least most of the Schola- no, ‘Professors’ as they liked to be called her, are people of refined taste and statue.
[4/4]“Where’s the Administration Building Amanda?” Leona asks you.“The white building with five floors and a clock tower.” you say pointing to the building. “That building is the Arts and Administration building. Most of the professors have their offices there, as does Beck.”“What’s the best way to talk to Beck?” Mina asks.“The best ways I know of either involve catching a lecture done by her and hoping that you’ll be able to grab her for a question after, or go into her office and make an appointment.” Amanda replies.“How about we get a fireplace first?” Erika asks behind her scarf.
"We have plenty of time lets first try to make an appointment then warm by a nice fire while we wait"
>>29086387I think people went to do Christmas stuff now...
>>29086125"Certainly. Let's find a fireplace for you to warm up next to, and I will see about making an appointment with her."
>>29086387>>29087401Question remains about how to go about this. Go to a lecture and hope or just make an appointment.I think I may need to continue this tomorrow with how little people seem to be on though
>>29087776I think you are right. I was hoping to make it clear from what I wrote that I wanted ot make an actual appointment with her.
>>29087776Sand, appointments seem boring, lets go for the lecture.
>>29089082OK thread archived, so if it dies I can still continue off from next day even if this thread dies.
and i missed another thread
>>29086125Make an appointment. Also, we can ask if Beck is holding any lectures prior to our appointment, if so, then we can attend it, for both personality analysis to get a first impression on Beck, and because it will be an interesting way to pass the time... at least different than spending it in the Cafe...
>>29087776And we can't do both because...? Seriously, make an appointment with her secretary then head to the lecture. We manage to catch her ear afterwards and we stop by to cancel our appointment because, by chance, it is no longer necessary.
>>29092167I see no reason to NOT do this, goddamnit phone
>>29091857We don't have to try and catch Beck if we go to a lecture... I'm in favour of doing both, but lets just enjoy the lecture and generate an impression of the kind of person Beck is...
I wasn't in these threads since the protag was the teacher for some noble brat and had just fed some pride demon to the congregation of succubus queens, what happened in the meanwhile? IRC is not being very helpful.
>>29094057a whole lot, you arent going to get a helpful summary unless someone has a lot of timeand i dont recall everything exactly anywayjust either go read the archives or participate without knowing everything
>>29094057Quite... A bit has happened. Since after feeding the Pride Demon Blizzarios, we worked with Ada to take over Fort Hope and install Brooklyn as the Court Mage. We've made the noble girls into Succubi, and are now in Fort Hope trying to reunite the Succubi Leaders for one purpose. That's the bare-bare bones of it. I need to wake up and get some food. After that I'll update
>>29094123Proof of Sands sleepyness lies in the fact we are in Old TO trying to unite the Succubi Leaders, not Fort Hope....
[1/2]“Fear not Erika. We’ll be getting to a warm location soon. We’re going to making an appointment with Beck before heading to a lecture of hers. Either way we’ll have both ends covered with that regard. Don’t fret Erika. The passage through the university is united by one building, so you don’t ever need to leave the building if you don’t want to.” you reassure Erika.“Oh thank the ancestors!” Erika says as you head into the university administration building. As you head into the arts and administration building, the first thing one sees is a large statue to the university’s original dean, Amy Wendall, tragically killed by an Okarian Barbarian (not to imply Okarians are barbarians, but the ones who roam in those ruffian gangs certainly do). From what you heard in social ciricles, Amy was also the lover of Beck and one of Miyu’s personally trusted scientists. A lot was lost when she passed away, no question about that.As you head through the corridors, filled with students of both mortal and demonic passing by, you head into the general inquiry office, a large collection of desk with receptionists at each of them. It doesn’t take you long to find a receptionist desk who is free, currently using an abacus on her desk that sparks with electricity. Simply adding machines you see many Miyians make.“Excuse me, I’m looking to make an appointment with Head Dean Grendal Beck.” you say announcing to the receptionist.“Sir Beck? Hm...” The receptionist says as she begins to look through the paperwork.“...Sir Beck?” Leona whispers to you.
[2/2]“She’s one of those queer folk who identifies herself as a male rather than a female.” Amanda replies. “Not in the way like Brooklyn either.”*“Dean Grendel Beck will be able to easily see you in about two months time.” The receptionist replies.“...Two months?” Erika asks with a raised eyebrow.“Right now the professors of the schools are not only gearing up for the finals, but also correcting the second batch of midterms. This is addition to any other projects that they may have going on as well.” The receptionist replies. “So is the 4th of February alright with you?”(Remember Amanda's special abilities below shape shifting on her sheet!)*Note I am not sexist and think differently IRL. However in this age, thoughts like Amanda’s are a bit more commonplace. Yes, a disclaimer like this may seem odd, but I fear the thread being turned into a sexual rights shitstorm.
>>29094900tell him that this isnt about study issues, its about diplomacy between succubus groups (and say its not about the war with the okarians before he asks)
>>29094900activate women of the court.
well, do >>29094995 if >>29094982 fails to give us something good
>>29094995this. I suppose our favors in this case would be all of our Miyan Friends, if that doesn't work mention that we were a member of the group that helped out that Belkerian Duchess and she wanted us to deliver a message to her.
>>29094900"This is not a student issue though, this is business."
>>29094900Lets just go for the lecture. It'll be tough but shouldn't cause a stir.
>>29094995>>29094982Combine these two seems to be the obvious choice. Maybe also use bribe money
(Woman of the Court)“Are you sure about that? I heard from your higher ups that she was going to be free this afternoon.” you say using your glove to levitate a few gold coins out of your pocket in front of the receptionist. The receptionist catches eye of the gold coins. “...O-Oh yes! That’s right! Someone canceled their afternoon meeting! Would this afternoon be fine?”“But of course. That time is perfectly acceptable to me.” you reply.“Very well! The appointment is at 4:30 this afternoon. About four hours from now.” The receptionist replies.“Thank you very much!” you say levitating some gold coins underneath a stack of paper before turning around to leave.“...I’m still amazed you do that all the time.” Erika says as you all leave the receptionist area.(What else would you wish to do in the meantime?)
>>29095530Show our friends around campus, then work on putting the finishing touches on Brooklyn's armor. We never paid him for all of our lesions, and Richardson doesn't like unpaid debts. Yup, that's totally the only reason we've spent so long perfecting and improving Brooklyn's armor.
>>29095599so long as we catch Becks lecture...
>>29095599I-it's not like we WANT to give you a gift to thank you...
>>29095599Seconded, as long as we get to smug about how great all the innovations we made for the armour are.
>>29096069Or for Brooklyn to say nice things and approve of us like he did when he stood up for us... A-and we certainly aren't hoping for another date with the tenti... um nevermind.
[1/2]“Well I may as well try to keep you all entertained so long as you’re all here.” you tell the girls.Erika speaks up first. “Are we going to find a fi-”“No.” you immediately reply. Erika has such a one track mind at times...“Then what are we going to do? Everything here seems so hopelessly beyond any of our understanding!” Mina protests.Normally you’d say nearly anything that doesn’t involve pleasuring or fighting things is beyond her, but this is one time the Belkarian is right about this. “Correct you are young Mina, hence why I intent you bring you the the socialite section of the university.”“Socialite section?” Leona asks.“It’s the section of the university which does two things. First it’s the PR deparment of the university, tasked with adapting what we Miyians know to those who are not of our intellect. Secondly it functions as the psychology and sociology branch of the school. It also teaches mundane classes to anyone who is non-Miyian as well, apart from Okarians.” you reply.“The blood is that bad here?” Leona asks in a depressed tone.“You’d do best to simply not bring them up here Leona. The friction between the two clans is to the point where it can catch fire.” you reply. You’re honestly not surprised they haven’t incinerated each other yet as well.
[2/2]You haven’t been in the university that long, so you don’t have many people you’d know or trust on par with Brooklyn, Erika, or Leona. The socialite section doesn’t appear much different from the rest of the university, but the walls of it’s hallways are cleaner. Posters filled with things that you can actually read, rather than needing to stop and ponder what they mean every five feet. You’re honestly glad you’re a socialite in this case. Miyians are utterly *terrible* at addressing ideas to non-Miyians, and thanks to the socialite training you’ve received, addressing your points to other non-Miyians is easy as filling out a tax return in Langy’s Court.“And this... Is where I work.” You say entering what appears to be a common room. Inside of it one can find a few dozen private benches, each with their own tools. Speciality things, such as alchemy beakers or forges, can be seen on the other side of the room. Your own desk is labelled with your own name (Which you quickly replaced with your own custom nameplate with gold lettering).“...Wow Amanda. I didn’t think you’d be in something this...” Leona says as she struggles to find the words.“Simple.” Erika says finishing the thought.“Well yes that is true. Those who rise up in the ranks of the university get better equipment and rooms. I’d certainly enjoy something bigger, but for now just having a place with the proper tools for super science... I wish to master some of the basics of my theory before moving onto the more advanced things.” you reply.“Ooohhh! What does this button do?” Mina says as her finger heads towards a red button.
>>29096267"Don't touch!"Fail to stop her from touching. Get embarrassed when they find the armor we're making for Brooklyn.
>>29096376pretty much this.
>>29096376Assuming that the red button reveals the armor that we've been working on I'm cool with this.
“No don’t press that!” you say as you try to stop Mina, but it’s in vain as Mina goes to press the button. As she presses the button, a small draw on your desk opens up, showing what appears to be the skeleton of your shield generator, the sparkling jewel for the capacitor of the shield generator beautifully reflecting in the light.“Oh wow! That’s so beautiful!” Leona says gasping.“N-Nno! Don’t look! It isn’t done yet!” You say covering it up.“...And it’s too Brooklyn too!? My Amanda, isn’t a large jewel like that a fairly big investment?” Mina asks, trying to be sly.Big jewel!? Only the core is an actual Ruby, the rest of it is just an artifical coating to protect and amplify the shield with the ruby capacitor!
>>29097065Well, no use now. Time to at least wow them with our sheer genius.
>>29097065... Wait, we were making ablative armor for Brooklyn right? http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/28040175/#p28042359Either way frantic explication using all our excuses earlier.

>>29097273Unconvincing spaghetti and downplaying
>>29097285Ok, sounds good to me

>>29097285 >>29097273Supporting. These are perfect.
>>29097065Quick question, is there a reason that Erika's succubus traits (wings, horns and tail) are taking unusually long to develop or is that just an artifact of when her sheet was last updated?
>>29097678its probably an artifact
“L-Look! I’m telling you that it’s nothing at all! It’s just an artifact I am working on in my own spare time and nothing more! It’s just a small thing I’m working on in my spare time!” you exclaim.“Oh? It seems to me you’re going the extra mile just for Brooklyn.” Mina says with a smile.“No! No it’s absolutely nothing!” you bark back. This was going to be the reflector core for Brooklyn’s armour, as you figured a shield generator would be best, but now this nosy Belkarian is going to screw everything up!“You’re making a gift for Brooklyn!? That’s so nice of you Amanda.” Leona says with a large, happy smile.Erika meanwhile just facepalms as she sees this scene unfold. As if she k-...Wait, she can read minds. She does know about the flings you had with Brooklyn! Your face goes a bright red as you realize that she now knows about such a thing.“Oooohhhh? It seems as if we were right on the mark hm?” Mina says with a sly smile.

>>29097863Wait! We can go into regular Miyan levels of technobabble to confuse them!
>>29098235actually, I was playing along with his joke.

"I... I never paid her back for all those lessons you know. I'm just paying her back." you reply with a blush on your face.“Ooohhh! Someone is shy that we hit the right point!” Mina says with her smile.“What point?” Leona asks in a confused tone.“That point is t-”“Nothing at all! Absolutely nothing at all beyond me repaying back a debt! A good businesswoman knows when and how to manage her debts!” you reply with a deep blush as you put it back into the cupboard. “Exposing it to light at this stage of the construction will damage it anyways! Now let’s just grab a bite to eat then meet up with Beck!”“I’m actually quite warm here. The furance is very warm.” Erika says as she enjoys the warmth in the room.“The cafeteria has a bigger fireplace!” you say pushing her out of the room along with the others.(Anywho after three days I’m facing a bit of a block. I’ll begin this thread once again on Sunday!)
