As you round the corner, the first thing you notice is the silver-haired girl from earlier- Erika- sitting down on the ground against the side of a booth holding her jaw. The second thing you notice is Rose standing over her, glaring down at her beaten opponent.Crap."What the hell happened?" You shout as you walk up to your gunner. You stand besides her and look at the Black Forest Peak tanker who is currently flexing her jaw back and forth, staring emptily at the ground."She threw the first punch." Rose says simply, glaring down at Erika. "Maybe if she'd walked away when I told her, she wouldn't have gotten her ass kicked." With that she finally relaxes her stance and looks back at her twin brother, Roy, who you've only just noticed was standing behind her with his arm around a frightened Akebi.Just... Speaking of military-themed games...Anyone mildly worried about 1.37?
You sigh and rub your eyes. "What happened?" You ask. You've already got a damned good idea what happened, so at this point you really just need specifics.Rose switches over to English, her voice is slow, precise and dangerously low- you've heard her pissed before and this? This is Rose when she's pissed. "I was walking with my brother and his girlfriend." She says simply. "When we stopped to get snowcones, I heard this... female disparage my brother and Akebi's relationship."That sounds about right- Roy tended to be the introverted, easily bullied twin and his sister had frequently stuck up for him for as long as you'd known them. "So you hit her?" You say, sighing again."No." Rose says simply. "I asked her to repeat herself louder. When she did, I politely told her that she needed to walk away. She didn't." Rose takes a breath, her calm, collected face and speech hiding a pyroclasmic fire. "She continued insulting us and, when I attempted to turn around and ignore her, she attempted to swing at me." She straightens up, slightly. "That is the last thing I remember before she was on the ground.""It was amazing!" Akebi says, in awe. "I've never seen someone move like that!" You'd seen Rose fight before- really fight. It wasn't like the theatrical brawls of other highschool boys, more interested in showing off than doing any actual damage. It wasn't even the wild, no-holds-barred fights you'd seen angry women in. When Rose fought it was less fighting and more... controlled demolition.Erika is damned lucky that she got out with a sore jaw.>We need an adult.>Help Erika up- we need to try to repair this situation.>We need to go. >>28727749We will stand before the Shiho. Although I was a man for Fluffy, now that we're locked, might as well be a man for Miho
I say we ask Erika where Maho is (in Japanese, of course), because we should report this to her commander. I want her to be too stunned by the revelation that we not only understood everything she said to us earlier, but that we didn't rise to the bait and made her make a false assumption instead to argue.
>>28727763Because a scene was made and more than likely a number of people are off running around talking about it. It's better to resolve this here and now.
>>28727777This. this should cow Erika into obeying, particularly if we give it cold and hard: Shiho style.

>>28727816Well the 'fight' if you want to call it that was resolved and I'm all for calling the clear winner for Rose here. Like there was another choice. But the aftermath of this? Yeah, that needs nipped in the butt fast. Less of chance of this blowing up anymore than this.
>>28727885We look good to Maho.
>>28727777This is probably the better option.

>>28727943Adults were useless back when I was this age too, it ain't just the setting.
>>28727943Kay.Kay will help!
>>28727896How? We embarassed her second in command, and by extension, her school. A commander has plenty of leeway dealing with a loudmouth subordinate, but when the shit comes down, command comes down on the side of its own.>>28727955This is Japan, and we're foreign. Our story doesn't amount to a hill of beans, no matter when we tell it.>>28727959But what would this accomplish? Maho may be reasonable, but this would come across as gloating if we shot up with a bruised-up one of her classmates in tow.
>>28727777I support this option. This is a conflict between our tank crews.

Catching up on LGAwhy is everyone being so dumb about crew assignments to tanks?
>>28728159Because we have exactly one match under our belt and no external way to know who would be good with what.
>>28728159'We want the Panther for the Elites!''Elites get a free tank that spontaneously appears!''I don't know shit about tanks but lets shove 5 people into a 4 man tank because symbolism!''Waah I want to shoot stuff not command like a leader should'Among other generalized statements
>>28728204>'Elites get a free tank that spontaneously appears!'Which is just outright wrong, by the way.
>>28728133Oh of course it's just when you start saying "like an MP" it's going full retard on the professional scale.
>>28728191But there's still things going on like "let's put the five man crew in the four man tank"I thought this was discussed already.
>>28728191>Not testing your crew to see their abilities>Not letting teams form naturally and members find their own niche>Not instituting a training regime so intense that every member has maxed out Jack of All Trades
>>28728204If anyone should get the Pershing, it should be the rifle team.A big, long 90mm gun that makes big boom and has a turret? Seems perfect for them rather than an Su-152. Russian tank destroyers act more like assault guns, and we want the rifles to be the snipers, don't we?
>>28728095An MP is expected to do those kinds of things, though, it's ingrained into their job. We're not police, nor are we beholden to Black Forest or Maho's crew, so we're under no obligation, legal, moral, social or otherwise, to return Erika to her crew. She's a big girl, she's gotta learn to take her lumps by herself.
>>287282505 little girls in a 4 man tank. That shit be roomy yo.

http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/1368213>that third panelAmi confirmed for slav.
>>28728361Not in the Sentinel, mate. Radioman and hull gun machine gun position get eaten by extra ammo. BIG extra ammo, specifically of the 25 and 17pdr kind. Radio gets moved to the loader's station. So even if the five crew members fit, one of them is going to be inside the thing doing absolutely fuck all
>>28728410Yukari is prepped to get wasted in that last panel.
>>28728498that does make sense on the tanks with the larger guns. who's idea was it to put the tiny freshmen wit the giant 105 T25/95? there's a reason 105 and up howitzers have multi-man loading crews
>>28728592That was the rifles. The Freshies have the Churchill.
>>28728482Yukari too cute
>>28728498Yeah? Doing what? Replenishing the ready rack? Where are they going to stand? Curled up at the bottom of the turret basket? It's a superflous position that is entirely unnecessary and just takes up space for ammo. The loader can replenish the ready rounds on her own, the extra ammo is literally at her feet.
>>28728629Start the match then boot her out so she can scout on foot.
>>28728617sorry, thanks for the corrections. I still would prefer two high schoolgirls handling any round above 90mm if I had any say in the matter.
>>28728641a stealth spy and spotter? not a bad idea if it wasn't a possable DEADLY result of shells and moving tanks all over the place. that and i am sure there are rules agienst this.
>>28728692Not really going to argue that. But we currently only have the SU-122 for that.
>>28728709In the series both Pravda and Oarai had foot scouts. It's also quite likely that Arisa would have to dismount at some point to set up her radio balloon.
>>28728709Nope. Winning is more important than human lives.Nishizumi is the heart of Senshado.
>>28728799Nisihizumi a shit except for Miho.
>>28728832What the hell do you have against Maho?
>>28728748Tbh, it's kinda cheating. The people on foot can't be shot at or anything, they're basically immune and free to gather information as they wish. Also, I swear there was a rule that said "do not leave your tank unless absolutely necessary". INCONSISTENCIES
>>28728850Absolutely nothing. She's just stuck between a rock and a hard place. One of which she has to pander to and I don't like.
>>28728832Their doctrine is excellent. They are a top-tier team. The problem is that they're just too rigid against the weaponized chaos Miho commands.
>>28728850Lack of time spent training crews and crew members to operate without direct supervision and micromanagement.
>>28728932Doesn't Maho love Miho and the reason Miho went to Ooarai was to get her away from the Tiger Mom?
>>28728970Pretty much. Maho is cold and distant to shelter Miho from Shiho. You lot should read the GuP Little Army manga, which takes place before the series and explains things: http://ak-scans.wikia.com/wiki/Girls_und_Panzer
>>28728902No rules state anything about leaving tanks. However, if you are knocked out you must comply with all instructions from officials. The battlefields are massive. If you can actually scout efficiently across them then you must be superhuman. It would make more sense to grab a Pz1c or other tiny and fast vehicle and dump one driver in there and let them rip.
>>28729012yep. I think that's where we even get Maho plotting to overthrow her mother. That's something I would like to see.
>>28729027Imagine if a stray shell had hit the base of the tower Yukari was in and it collapsed
>>28729052Don't give TK any more ideas.
>>28729027Black Forest in the show had a Pz. III acting as scout and rabbit for the Maus. We've got the Vz. 38 to scout for us in this one, and the Stuart in the other one, although in either case I'd prefer something that has a little bit more survivability.
>>28729052That would be a case of 'shit happens'. You aren't allowed to fire DIRECTLY at other people. It's perfectly fine to accidentally hit someone though. Other than ludicrous gibs and PTSD of course.
>>28729169But in any case it could simply have been avoided by whoever it is staying in their bloody tank in the first place.

You look down at Erika, who is just now starting to come to her senses. You look down sternly and switch back to Japanese. "Where is your commander, tanker?" You ask, pulling Command Authority from deep within yourself as you reach down and pull Erika to her feet. "Where is Maho Nishizumi?" You repeat."I am here." A voice behind you says. "What has happened here?"You stand up straight turning to face Maho. "There was a disagreement between my gunner and your tanker, Miss Nishizumi." You say, standing straight and looking Miho's older sister in the eye. Maho looks at you, as Erika stumbled back to her side. "These..." Erika spits. "These foreigners attacked me! They should be kicked out of the tournement! They should be-""Erika?" Maho says, her voice oozing threat and disapproval. "Silence." Erika immediately goes silent and Maho looks back to you. "Is this true?" She askes politely.A great commander knows when to stand up and take responsiblity for his crew. "I take full responsiblity for my crew's conduct." You say- sometimes you're a great commander. "However, I do believe my gunner when she says your tanker provoked the situation." From the look on Maho's face, she believes it as well.Maho nods. "You also did not inform me that you were a tank commander." She continues. "That would make you the commander of Oorai's new Pershing?" She asks, looking at you as some new curiosity. >>28731389And fail platooning is?
So, threadly bros. I had an idea for another write-up like before if you're interested. This one would be about Maho.I also had an idea for Erika, but that one would take a little longer. Only if you're interested of course.
>>28731409You get auto banned if you tk too close to cap
>>28731421Sure. What'cha got?
>>28731401Dude, you never plug your own teammate, unless they've started a tk spree of their own.>>28731419No, but you just let whatever poor bastard got stuck with scout MM hit the failure. It's not like you're doing your side a favor by tk-ing anybody, ever.
>>28731421Gimme a pitch.I'd probably want to see the Erika one first since she's barely utilized as a character.
>>28731409You can report people in-game while the match is going on. Enough reports on someone gets them banned.>>28731435Not really. I did a fair share of killing tier 4s that somehow got to tier 9 battles by fail platooning and I didn't get banned. In fact I got praised by my teammates.
>>28731419Better than teamkilling.
>>28731435Wrong. You get banned for teamdamage when you turn blue. You turn blue by doing lots of teamdamage in one week or by killing an ally in a capzone.
>>28731453IMO TK is acceptable in one case. When some bastard is actively hurting the team. Blocking other tanks, interfering with shots. Talking to the enemy team about positions and such
>>28731463I agree. I'd be interested in seeing something from her other than snide and hate, or at least justifying why she thinks that way. (like an inferiority complex due to family problems perhaps?)
>>28731525That's okay, but going full asshole and shooting the LOLtractor just for being a LOLtractor is retarded.
>>28731503Let's just say the fail platoon took umbrage at me calling them out and I had to defend myself a bit too close to the starting zone.
I got TK'd by taking a while to load, once. Ten seconds after the match starts, finally load in... to see my burning wreck. The guy that did it was a notorious TKer, though. One that I've been TK'd at least three times by.
>>28731474>>28731463>>28731447It's just an idea like I said. Maho would be like Anchovy, you're her one confidant, the only person she can talk to about everything, Miho, Shiho and tankery. It would be set a little after Oorai won the Nationals. Erika, thanks to >>28731532would be poor. Like, her family runs a business that isn't that big and she's only in Black Forest because of Maho and Tankery along with some backbreaking work by her family.
>>28731611I say go for it. I would really like to read it.
>>28731611Sounds like an excellent idea. I admittedly was referencing an inbetween-storypost-improv RP I and a few anons got into a few sessions ago about some German pilots discussing Wunderwaffe. I went for a jet to flee to allied lines, but the others called me out on it. Near the end, I posted that I was thinking the german was Erika's dad and that she was angry because her dad was a deserting coward. But I like your idea MUCH better, really explains her drive to succeed.
"She is." You say simply. And a bit harder than you meant to. You need to pull back before you let her know something you didn't mean to- Maho's smart and more than capable of reading between lines. "So, have we sorted everything out?" You say, looking from her, to Erika and then to Rose.Maho nods. "Yes. Once again I apologize for my teammate's conduct." She says politely. "And please..." She looks at you, looking for the correct words. "...give my regards to Miho."You nod. "I will. Good luck, Commander."Maho nods back. "And you as well."As she turns and walks away, Erika sends one last nasty look your way. You'd have to watch for her- not only had she been embarassed, but she'd made herself and her commander lose face. You finally begin to relax again when Rose finally speaks up. "That's Miho's sister? Not sure if I was expecting that." She snorts derisively. "The blond though... More pride than brains- going to bite her in the ass some day.">Go give Miho Maho's regards. "Hey Miho." You say as you poke your head through the I-Go's hatch. Yukari has taken your place next to Miho, and Miho seems to be back in relatively good spirits. "I brought..." You look down at the stickfood you'd bought on the way back. "Meatsticks." You shrug. "I dunno- they smelled good and I'm pretty sure if its chicken." Miho smiles graciously. "Thank you!" And takes plate. "Yukari was telling me about this cake shop she saw in town." She takes a bite of stickfood . "Maybe we could stop by later?"You decide to break what had just happened gently. "So, Rose punched Erika a few minutes ago." You grin evilly. "She had it coming- mouthed off about Roy and Akebi. What's her problem, anyway? Even Maho looks like she barely tolerates her."Miho seems to withdraw a bit. "You saw Maho again, too?" You nod. "Erika... She is very loyal, but she only respects strength and purity- she sees that in Black Forest Peak's philosophy. She can be quite cruel- but she's one of my sister's closest friends." That made a sort of sense- what happened seemed to be almost expected by Maho."Maho sent her regards." You say, hoping that might lift the mood. Miho instead seems to draw back even further. You kick yourself mentally.>"Let's go get cake!">Comfort the Miho here.>Other.

>>28732839Strictly speaking, there were a *lot* of 6pdr-armed Churchills - one in three amongst most units. The 6pdr had vastly better armour penetration than the QF 75mm; which was basically just an 5mm M2 off of a Sherman. Used the same ammo, even. "Rebored" is a bit of a misnomer. The whole gun was completely refurbished and bored out from 57mm to 75mm, because it was bit quicker than making new guns, ans could use all the same mountings.(Actually, ammo commonality was a big reason the QF 75 was used as much as it was, *especially* on the Cromwell.)

Since BJ is dead and it's now 6 am, I'm going to post part 1 of my Erika story now. >Your family and the Itsumis have always been close, being neighbors and fellow business owners.>Your family ran the neighborhood grocery, while her old man ran a small machine shop. Her mom was sickly and couldn’t work much, so she mostly helped by cleaning the shop when she wasn’t too ill. >But between taking care of her mom and keeping up to date in the shop, her family never seemed to be more than a few steps ahead of the banks. >You weren’t exactly wealthy yourselves, but you did well enough that mom and dad often sent you over with some of the food that you would normally throw out, broken packaging and things that normal shoppers frowned at, along with some fresh vegetables and other things that they couldn’t get very often. >You and Erika met through this, her dad worked late and her mom often couldn’t get the door very fast. >It took a few months, but eventually you became one of her few friends. Between helping out around her house and her slightly difficult personality she didn’t have a lot of friends. But it’s hard to be prickly to someone who brings you food and by the time you both started school you were the only one she could really open up to. >School life wasn’t easy for either of you, but Erika managed to score top grades from the start, she was determined to make it big and help out her family as soon as she could. >Nobody but you knew this, seeing as how school was for learning and home had its own problems. >You only knew because you both walked to and from school together every day and sometimes ate lunch together, with you giving her some of yours most of the time much to her chagrin. >Every time she told you she would pay you back eventually and every time you told her not to worry about it, usually drawing a mutter from her about you being too good to her.
>>28732774>"Let's go get cake!">Comfort the Miho here.
>>28733896SOUNDS LIKE YOU GOT THE GIST OF IT. CONGRATS ON YOUR CITIZENSHIP
>>28733895>As the years went by you and Erika both grew comfortable with what you had, her working hard both in and out of school with her family, holding most of the world at bay due to her brusque personality and inability to give most people the time of day. >You were her outlet for stress and the reason she wasn’t a complete shut in with no friends besides yourself. >For you…Erika was an inspiration, keeping you from falling down into the slacker crowd and one of the few girls you didn’t have a hard time talking to. You never begrudged her the few times she snapped at you or went a couple days in a huff, you usually knew beforehand what made it happen. >She always calmed down after a bit and came to apologize, a contrite look on her face. You always took her apologies seriously and let her finish, usually ending it with a hug or a pat on the head that made her blush. >By the time the last year of middle-school came around Erika was at the top of your class and was offered a full scholarship to the prestigious Black Forest Academy, on the provision that she joined their Senshado program. >Her parents learned first of course, they were overjoyed and so was she, at least for them. >That night she invited you over, you’d been over a few times but generally only when she needed a shoulder to vent on or on occasions like her birthday. >When she’d greeted you at the door you could tell something was up, she seemed nervous despite having just aced the last of the exams. >When you’d gotten up to her room she’d been quiet, not really saying much beyond the pleasantries at the door. You let her sit; rushing her had never produced positive results. >Eventually she’d told you about Black Forest, about having to leave and go live on the academy-ship. She nearly stopped, but she’d also told you about Senshado, she seemed more nervous about that than anything.
"So, still not ready to go out there?" You say, scooching up besides her in the turret. She shakes her head- No. You throw and arm around her to comfort the traumatized tank commander. "Well, that's okay." You smile. "You should've seen the look on Erika's face though, when she realised Rose had beat her up... From what you said she'd had it coming for a while."Miho nods, smiling a bit. "It was only a matter of time." She finally says. "Before she met someone who wouldn't take her attitude... Gently." You're about to settle in for a long day of comforting and keeping Miho company with Yukari, when a sharp rap on tank's turret gets your attention. You unbolt it from the inside to reveal Anzu's Cheshire grin. "Get dressed!" She says, looking at the three of you who are fully dressed. "Kay wants to talk to you." She says, before her head disappears from the opening. Annoyed, you climb out."Commander Russells!" Kay says enthusiastically. "Heard your gunner knocked out Erika." She grins lopsided- it's one of the most American things you've ever seen, clearly practiced. "I believe I owe you and yours some cake, for that. Did you get any pictures?"
>>28733918>It was probably the most surprised you’d ever been. It was everything she’d ever wanted, the path to what she needed to take her family above her dad working his fingers to the bone and her mom not always having the medicine she needed. And she was asking you if it was ok. >You’d been too surprised when she asked to think about what that meant, why she was asking you if it was ok. So you’d given her your best smile and said, “Of course it is Erika, you know I’ll support you no matter what.”>She’d nearly broken down then, her eyes tearing up slightly as she threw her arms around you in the biggest bear-hug she’d ever given you. >“I’ll write you,” she said, as she grasped your neck, “I’ll write you as much as I can.”>“I’ll write you too,” you replied, “As much as you want.”>“Every week,” she said, “I want you to write me every week.”>“Of course,” you said, which drew a smile from her face. >It was then that you both realized that your lips were about six inches away from the others. >You saw her face turn red and could feel yours heat up as well for the three seconds before she let go and moved away from you. >You don’t really remember much after that, just that you made a little small talk before leaving. >School had another two weeks to go and she wasn’t leaving for a week after that but that entire time something was off. It wasn’t awkward between you, but there was something different than before. >It wasn’t until you’d seen her off with her parents that you realized what had changed, why she had asked you if it was ok if she left. >You loved her.>And you were pretty sure she loved you too.
This just went from 0 to clusterfuck in less than a minute.I might be finished in about ten minutes.

As they were coming in for a landing at Okinawa’s international airport, Ellie had pointed it out to Aly. “Christ, look at the size of the thing,” Aly has said while she leaned over Ellie to look out the window.“Yep,” Josh said from the aisle seat. “That’s going to be your home for the next few months. She’s called the Invincible.”“Wow,” Aly breathed. The crews were greeted by a welcoming committee when they got into the airline terminal. Three girls stood in a row. As Alysha, Danielle, Murrie and Josh came into view at the front of their procession of tankers, the three Japanese school girls bowed and cried out “Welcome to our country!” in unison. Josh smiled and waved to the girl in the centre. “Hi Miko.”“Joshua!” Miko replied before she was gathered up in his arms and embraced. The other two girls came up to Aly and her friends and introduced themselves as Tsukino Rina and Nakamura Yukiko. Introductions were shared all around.“Welcome again to Japan, friends,” Yukiko said. “We hope to have a pleasant time fighting alongside you in the national tournament.”“We’re looking forward to it,” Aly replied. “Hopefully both our teams will come away from the experience better in some way.”“Excuse me,” interrupted Rina, the third girl, a blush extremely evident on her face. “Are all Australian boys this forward?” she asked worriedly. Aly looked up to see Miko and Joshua sharing a very passionate kiss.Aly laughed hard at that. She elbowed Josh in the ribs. “Hey lovebirds, you’re in public.”
>>28734164The team had been chartered a shuttle bus in order to get from the airport to the school ship. Aly sat up the front and had a chat with the locals.“Your tanks arrived a few days ago,” Miko said. “I must say, you have some very interesting variants of Sentinel, some of which I didn’t know were Sensha-do legal.”“Oh, they’re legal,” Aly replied. “At least, back at home they are. The commander’s cupolas are legal under the ‘reasonable modifications’ rule. Modifications that might’ve been made in the field by the local engineers or by the tankers themselves, like attaching a loudspeaker to your turret. The cupolas aren’t considered to give us a major advantage, so they let us keep them. As far as the engine and suspension modifications, we got our hands on some of the original blueprints that they kept at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. The blueprints outlined late model Sentinels having such improvements, but they never got beyond that stage before the whole project got canned. We managed to get permission from the Australian Tanking League to add those modifications. It was pretty expensive, getting Pratt & Whitney to build us three of the engines to our specifications, but we got them in the end.” Aly paused and rubbed the back of her head before laughing nervously. “I got a bit ahead of myself there, didn’t I?”“Only a bit,” Josh replied. He turned to Miko. “What do you think? Will they integrate well with your team and your tactics?”“That remains to be seen,” Miko replied. “They are very powerful machines, and we are going to have to adapt our strategy in order to accommodate them. Once we do, however, I have full confidence in our ability to at least make it to the semi-finals, if not the finals themselves. It will certainly be a big surprise to our opponents.”>2/3 why do I always forget to number these fuck-damn-shit
>>28734155could you or someone else repost the screencap of the anchovy stuff you did in the last thread?
>>28734164Wait a sec, the Maginot team actually gets shafted with a Surcouf? Hah, I thought that was a joke, and I watched the show!
>>28734178“So you’ll need to adapt your strategies, right?” asked Josh. “We should get to that as soon as possible. Tomorrow night, at your place?”“A-at my place?” Miko replies. “You don’t mean- just us two? Alone!?” She turned bright red.Josh laughed in reply. “No, no, not like that. Unless you want to, of course,” he raised an eyebrow, further flustering his girlfriend.“You shouldn’t talk about such lewd things so openly!” cried Rina, her hands covering her cheeks. The Australians were very amused at the expense of the three Japanese girls. Aly and Josh shared a look, and then jumped right into it.“Why not?” Aly asked Rina. “Don’t you do those sorts of things with your boyfriend?”“I don’t have a boyfriend!” squeaked Rina, who seemed to be getting smaller the more she was embarrassed.“Oh, then what about a girlfriend?” Rina seemed to completely shut down at that statement, and breaks down into stuttering. When Aly and Josh finished laughing, and Miko and Rina calmed down from getting so flustered, Josh continued on his previous train of thought. “So, tomorrow night,” he says to Miko. “You get all your commanders, and I get all of mine, and we’ll have a strategy meeting at your place over dinner. Is that alright?”“It’s fine,” says Miko. “And then after,” Josh said “We could...”“N-nooooo!” cried Rina, and the laughter continued.>3/3That's it until next time. Strategy meetings, the best part!
