>Opening theme >http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F468us4qCUE Returning to the world of monsters? Good to see you again. Previously: Our young hero, Cerulean awoke from her surgery, bearing high functioning biology procured from a seal monster colloquially known as "Seel." Roused with her first rite of passage as a ranger done and over with, she greets her hometown friends, Aqua and Marine, whom have received Staryu and Squirtle, respectively. After a depressing period of training at the Cerulean gym, she had begun to lose her hope and what confidence she had within herself as the days dragged on with everyone trouncing her. Yet 2 months into her training, during one of the dreaded cross-training days, she found her way.By using her power over the cold to make the environment more suitable for herself, our young Cerulean made headway in scoring one of the better times at the obstacle course, surpassed however by the training monster known as Bruise Lee. The Celadons proved sociable and she found that the girl that had a failed surgery opted to try again. By their word, she succeeded. The sparring match of the day pitted Cerulean in ability oriented combat against an esper of the Saffron, whom she had beat, or rather effectively tied. Making a new friend with a warm, sleep inducing hug, Cerulean's spirits return to her and she has a much brighter outlook on her training. Her story now continues. >Character Sheet >http://pastebin.com/7CJx3gq1 >Monster Index(Pending Updates) >http://pastebin.com/wxwgrCqb >Previous thread >http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Attack%20on%20Pokemon%20Hunter%20Quest

>>27958167Maximum adorable is go!
As the training days progress, Leader Misty begins to touch more upon land-based combat and a Cerulean Ranger's role in a team, even out of water."Many of you are fit with Pressure bladders, giving you the capability to expel focused blasts of water. On land, you'll need to ration this out until you refill or focus on your other abilities.Misa and Risa for example use their horns in close combat, that's what they're good at as well as what they've trained for.Bryan's trained with the espers to master his psychic abilities, giving him something to fall back on, despite not even having the bladders.Marine has the toughness of her shell, and Aqua his fundamentals. Cerulean, you have your natural ice abilities. These will all get you far, however the implants that you've been given are not the sole source of your abilities. Rangers use weaponry and gear as well."Misty presents in both hands what appears to be a trident with two prongs an enlarged center and bladed tips, your peers gawk at the sight, though the senior cadets just kind of smile."This here is a volt bident, my personal favored weapon. When it's stabbed into a target, the volt orb within the haft releases a stunning electric shock. With enough skill it can be used on land as well in water." Misty draws it back into her grasp and assumes stance with one hand fore and the other to the back. She stabs it forward into the air and a visible arc runs between the two spikes."We have other weapons like the envenomed blades and stars used by the Fuschias," She puts the butt of the polearm to the ground," The Iron fans sometimes used by the celadons, and the Pewters.. Well the pewters use their environment kind of like the Saffron."Aqua raises his hand and Misty points for him to speak," What about the Cinnabars and Vermillions?"
Misty opens her mouth a moment and nods," Ah, good question Aqua. Well, the Vermillions and Cinnabars are a bit more exclusive. I've seen them use wired daggers and swords, but they seem to like throwing their power around.I mean, their methods are Shock and Awe." Misty giggles a bit at that."Here, we tend to use polearms and nets for how they can be used on land and in water."Well Cerulean, which do you choose?>Home Gym Method, polearms>Fuschia Gym Method: Ninja Tools>Celadon Gym Method: Iron Fans>Cinnabar Gym Method: Sword> Your own Method: (Write in)
>>27958589Let's stick with the basics: polearms!
>>27958589[X]Home Gym Method, polearmsI like polearms. Also, learn to use nets as well. Entangling enemy movement makes our life a lot easier.
>>27958589>Home Gym Method, polearmsHell yeah. We Neptune up in this bitch
>>27958589>[X]Home Gym Method, polearmsWe stick with our home gym's weapon of choice and we can pick up different things as time goes on.
>>27958589Gotta go with the 'hero' weapon, sword it up.

>>27958756>>27958727>>27958682Think you could wait until autosage to mindlessly dump like this? Seems kinda rude to waste thread space with it.
>>27958682>>27958756>>27958727C'mon man, don't do a straight up image dump, that just disrupts things.Work it into the thread.
>>27958742Horrible. Currently I am suffering from having done SOMETHING to my sternum that makes it hurt like a bitch when I move my shoulders forward or backward.
>Weapon Training: Polearms(1): (acquired!) You grasp the basics of polearm combat, gaining proficiency with spears and bidents. (+2 to attack rolls in water and at mid-range on land.)You have a training period to spend your 3 skill points on whatever you wish. The Char sheet has been updated. Bear in mind that certain attacks will be unlocked at higher ranks of core techniques such as water gun and Icy Wind.Mid range for your polearm pretty much constitutes ideal water gun range or not actually grappling which at this point Cerulean should never.
>>27958765That's pretty much a given when using /tg/ dice.
>>27958859Upgrade Icy Wind.
>>27958859What are the costs anyway? Ice Shards requires Thrown Weapon training; can we get that?
>>27958859I'd say put a point into Watersports, since we've focused on being cute.
>>27958859Icy Wind and Ice Shards please!
>>27958859If we learn Ice Shard, do we necessarily learn only how to freeze water into one specific shape? Or could we mold it to suit our purposes?
>>27958912It can be trained at Fuschia which you have access to. It will cost 1 point if you'd like it. It will also count for any other thrown weapons.
>>27958859Lets get watersports.
>>27958859Can we upgrade the polearm training? I'd like to do that and upgrade icy wind too.
>>27958961It's small, personal-range snap freeze. It can be formed into other small objects.Ice Make!
>>27958859Two points in Icy Wind to get it to 3, and 1 point in Watersports, if we can't get Watersports at this time upgrade Rest by 1.
>>27958868Being lancer is suffering.
>>27958963Are the costs for upgrading in the parenthesis?
>>27959005>It's small, personal-range snap freeze.Does that mean we could Ice-touch people / monsters?>Jam thumbs through eyes>Snap freeze
>>27959005>>27959027If we could touch a monster's blood through a wound.....could we.....you know?If we can, we should definitely get Ice Shards.
>>27959027Oooooh I like that.Augment all physical attacks with frostburning touch!>>27959005Ice Shard please!
>>27958859How much do we have to spend to get Icy Wind up to 3? We should definitely do that. If we can, upgrade Watergun too.
>>27959027>>27959049>Jam horn through skin>Snap freezeInjection of FROSTY
>>27959052>>27959049>>27959040>>27959027If we're getting Ice Shards, we should get Thrown Weapon training as well to go with it.>>27959005At higher levels, could we form larger objects?
Rolled 12Taim 4 rawling yet?
>>27959005so icy wind and ice shardI am NOT starting another argumnet about our second type
Yeah. I'm liking icy wind and ice shard
>>27959005i think consensus is Icy Wind and Ice Shard.ice shard creates SOOO many creative opprtunities
>>27959087>>27959095>>27959110What's the cost of upgrading Icy Wind? Because to properly use Ice Shards in a ranged capacity, we'll need Thrown Weapon training.
>>27959125I don't even really care about the ranged applications right now. Augmenting close-range with snap freezing is amazing all on its own.
>>27959125Icy wind is 2. Ice shard unlocking is 1.>>27959079>At higher levels, could we form larger objects?larger, colder, and more varied.
>>279591252, but we wouldn't be able to train it right now anyway.training takes time and we just did a training session. we will probably get another training session once we get back from veridion. or maybe Prof would allow us to swap our Polearm with thrown weapons?until then we can just use one of the many many many other functions for it. like freezeing CQC
>>27959151Yes, that makes sense. For example, we could shoot Water Gun at an opponents feet and Ice Shard to freeze them in place. Useful.>>27958859Alright, voting for Icy Wind and Ice Shards.
>>27959174So if we garb somebody/a monster could we freeze the place we grab?would make for some awesome hand to hand combat
>>27959174Oh, a question. Do we need physical contact to flash freeze water using Ice Shards, or is there a specific range we can freeze water from?
>>27959179that isn't how ice shard works.i think ice shard allows us to freeze objects into forms we want when they are in our grasp. the attack is just creating sharp icy shards and throwing them
>>27959175You can take this time to train. Don't need to focus all your timed on polearms.>>27959197With varying success, yes.and it would.>>27959204Personal range. It's by touch.
>>27959216>that isn't how ice shard works.different application of the principle. Creative efficiency will get you through encounters
>>27959216The idea still works, as long as we touch the water.
>>27959221so we split our training between thrown weapons and ploearm. i think icy wind and icy shard win>>27959240i meant it would only work if we were touching the other persons feet, which is impractical.
>>27959175>Freezing CQC, focusing on slowing opponent. Main points of attack to freeze joints.Scary shit maen.
Ice Shard and Icy Wind.Yes.
>>27959259i don't think we have indeffinate range as long as we touch the water. like i dont think we can freeze a whole pool solid as long as we are touching it. i may be wrong though. he did said "Personal Range" so i'm think arms length would be the farthest limit as long as we touch the water
>>27959266>so we split our training between thrown weapons and ploearm. i think icy wind and icy shard winWe get Polearms as a freebie, but we would have to pay up for Thrown Weapons.>i meant it would only work if we were touching the other persons feet, which is impractical. Not necessarily, if our style of combat on land focuses on rolls and sliding on the ground.
>>27959315don't think we have to pay for training as we are trained by the gym leader. we only have to pay for learning techniques
Bringing training to a close.Icy Wind + Ice ShardsOrIce Shards + Thrown Weapon training
>>27959315Maybe once we start getting some decent defense, but for now lets stick with long range ice/water attacks.>>27959355icy wind +ice shards
>>27959355Icy Wind + Ice Shards
>>27959355Icy Wind and Ice Shards
>>27959355Ice wind and ice shardsthe actual thrown weapon part of is is just one part of its usefulness
>>27959355>Icy Wind + Ice Shards
>>27959335No, last thread people talked about this as well. Training is paid for as well.>>27959313I don't understand what you're trying to say. To be within personal range means to be within range of touch.
Couldn't we cup our hands around our mouth, like people do when they shout, and freeze a Water Gun as we shoot it, making an Icecicle Speargun?BALLIN'!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBIO-7Bm6lcWe should go for this. Incorporate icy wind to move quicker, slow opponents, ice shard to freeze points we've blasted with water. Bident and ranged ice shards also nice with this. (estimated time of mastery: 15 years)
>>27959280Just slap ice loads of ice wherever on the opponent, let the sheer mass of the stuff weigh them down and exhaust them.
>>27959367People were discussing using Ice Shards in melee, not range, since we're not learning Thrown Weapons training right now.
>>27959436Or freeze the water inside our mouth. Brilliant.
>>27959436We might hurt ourselves since it wouldn't differentiate the water coming out our mouth and the water still inside. We could end up tearing our mouths into bloody shreds like that.
>>27959435i was saying that if we are touching water we dont have indefinate freezing on the body of water we are touching. like if we we;reimmersed we would only be able to freeze a ball a few feet in diameter without moving our arms about
>>27959462More like slap their arm and freeze the muscle solid, making it impossible to move it.
>>27959436that is actually a really good idea
>>27959489it would work by touching our hands so (presumably) it would freeze and be shaped as it passes our hands
>>27959490But that has no real bearing on my earlier suggestion, then, since I was never suggesting to freeze an area larger than the area around a foot.
>Dip hands in water>Freeze in the shape of bladesHuhuhuhuhuu
>>27959586We iceman now. This has some serious possibilities
>>27959549We do have a resistance against ice, so I'd say our skin wouldn't get stuck onto it as we flash freeze it. We might still injure ourselves, though, from the speed of the projectile and we'd need to freeze the water some distance away from our face so that we don't freeze the water in our mouth. And it's that part that may require some training.
>>27959494I honestly have no idea if freezing an opponent's flesh solid, or layering them in ice, would require more energy
>>27959619yes, it isn't something we should first try out in the field. we should add it to our list to practice when we get back.
>>27959619So instead of cupping our hands around our mouth, just hold our hands out as far as we can positioned like we're holding a beachball and shoot water between them.
>>27959645Yeah, and that may still require training so that we don't injure ourselves.
>>27959638...i have no clue.it would probably depend on the method. weather it freezes to the lowering of the temperature of the object, or if it does it by having a nearby object be cold enough to drop its temperature.by Prof said it will be possible in combat to varying degrees.
>>27959658Well Training is exactly what we are doing right now so its not really a problem.
>>27959676Hehe, "varying degrees" can't tell if unintentional good joke or purposeful bad joke. >>27959689a training mission is not the same as training
>>27959689But we aren't training to do this sort of stuff. We're only taking up Polearms and the two techniques we've voted for, that's all. Training to harness the applications of Ice Shards will come at some other time.
>>27959701We are not on a mission right this moment, we are in a gym where we train how to fight i.e. the ideal place to train this type of attack.
For the last month of your training you dedicate yourself to mastering the Polearm under Leader Misty's supervision. To start you have been granted a training spear and run through the drills of land-based combat.Stepping in with a thrust, switching from overhand and underhand grips as the situation calls for, swinging the backend around after a thrust, using the whole weapon. You're drilled on using the spear carefully in constricted areas, thrusting only when necessary and supplementing attacks with your natural extensions.Aqua takes to the training diligently, coming onto par with even the senior cadets in spear play.Marine? Not so much. After the first few lessons, she chose to drop practice and check out the pewters, Since then, she's always done weapon practice with them, she seems to have a natural affinity for getting into close combat nowadays. Rarely even do you see her use her water gun, instead favoring her armored knuckles. On other days, you commit to mastering your cryogenic powers, increasing the lovely bitterness of your icy wind, now able to generate a thin layer of frost upon part of the Cerulean lake. With that progress, and feeling overjoyed at the sight of your own breath, you begin to experiment a bit more with the prospect.Your icy wind is good and all, but it just makes things cold. You need more than that, right?Thinking back to your battle with Alexis, you recall how she managed to throw those rocks at you so effortlessly, your ribs still ache some days from your other bouts during the cross-training days.A ranged weapon, you ponder. Your Water gun is good and all, though it's not exactly... Harmful. Harmful is the word. You need something better than that, colder. Firmer.
>>27959729And we're not spending any time to train on how to shoot Ice Shards. We're learning how to make Ice Shards. It's the difference between learning how to make a gun and how to use one.
Playing with water, you begin to have some luck with freezing hand-sized amounts into small ice-balls. With further effort, you eventually create small and sharp icicles. Though they get pretty drippy when they leave your touch, you have some luck with throwing them.Despite them landing everywhere except for the target.>Roll 1d20+1 Ingenuity to learn icicle gun>DC 18

>>27959932We should have picked the ninja weapons...
>>27959932This is why you never learn the way of the spear
Can we form ice shard around our fist or reinforce our horn with them?
>>27960044yeah, ice hand blades were mentioned earlier. and they shouldn't have as high of a DC as the spear gun
>>27960044I don't see why not.
>>27960044Now I can only imagine Ceru spitting some water up onto her horn, almost like blowing hair out of the way.
>>27960075using the ice to reinforce and make the spear tip sharper would block the electirc current? Also, can we form the ice blades over other people bodies? provided they can handle the cold
>>27960122We should eventually figure out how to make ablative armor out of ice.
>>27960122>using the ice to reinforce and make the spear tip sharper would block the electirc current?Doubt it since ice is water and impure water conducts electricity.
>>27960122i was talking about the icicle gun, and yeah i imagine it would ruin the electricness of the trident.i don't think to many oeple would be able to handle it.
So I guess we end up choking ourselves from this. There's no reason every critical failure has to be a federal fucking issue.>>27960136How hard is our ice anyway? Being good at piercing doesn't necessarily mean it's sturdy.
>>27960138but water in it's solid form does not conduct electricity, even with impurities in it.
>>27960122Most probably can't.
>>27960144Fighting is strong against ice right? Think I know someone who could use some ice knuckles
>>27960138>>27960122Wow, i just learned something new. apparently Pure water does not conduct electricity, only if there are impurities will it conduct.but yeah as long as those impurities are in the ice aswell it will conduct
>>27959778>Rolled 1 + 1; DC 18>Result, Critical Failure. You start considering ways that you could possibly turn this into an effective weapon. No longer being limited to using your icy wind to chill things, you feel like experimenting a bit.During a free period of gym time, the idea hits you. If you're already freezing water, then why not try it on your water gun?It needs to work, it has to, it could be amazing!Under the light of the sun, you cup your hands together over your mouth and blow with all your might as you snap-freeze the water between your hands. At least, that's what you had in mind according to theory. The freeze rides back up into your throat as your look down, your eyes fixed in horror as you pull your hands away. However it's too late, you feel the expansion of ice lodged in your throat, burning at your insides as you find, with pain that you cannot breath. You attempt to force more water out of your pressure gland, feeling it move, even budge slightly as water dribbles from your jaws.Vision begins to get fuzzy, and you hear someone calling your names as you slowly asphyxiate. You come to later, with Oliver wiping his mouth,"One of these days, I won't be there to do this. You okay?"You blink, feeling an awful burn running down your throat, you open your mouth and let out a small croak as you touch your lips," ain... et... ain.." You gasp out with pain. "We'll get you checked out at the Research Bureau Cerulean, just hang in there, okay?" Misty bends down over you and gives you a kiss on the forehead.______________________________________________________It turns out that your little experiment messed up your throat quite a bit as you spend a couple days in recovery, resting and letting your throat heal up.Prof says you'll be fine, your healing factor being a bit more powerful than other recruits. It'll be a bit before you try that again.. >Tenacity reduced to 10.
So I'm confused, do we have to have an existing water source to form the ice shards, or are we able to flash-freeze it out of the air itself?
>>27960149Well then we just don't ice up our spear. Its not really a big deal, especially since metal is generally a lot sharper than ice anyway.
>>27960178WELP.Live and learn I guess.
>>27960176NaCl is perfect for that.OP, anyway we can carry a bag with some salt?Just to increase the conductivity of our water
>>27960178so lets train our freezing hand to hand combat.could create a new style of fighting. i imagine ti would be like the huyaga form naruto, lots of light touches.
>>27960178At least we didn't do that out on the field.
>>27960186We need existing water, yet. I don't think our new technique gives us the ability to condense water in the air into one spot (although that sort of hydrokinesis might be available to us).
>>27960219we are too clumsy for that
>>27960186Existing water source, or spitting it out from your pressure bladder.>Onward to party assembly...>>27960215You could store salt water if you wished to.
>>27960215ehh, we won't be using electricty besides our spear, but i guess it wouldn't hurt to have a small bag
>>27960219We are ten years old man We are not going to be creating martial arts from scratch for a fair while.
>>27960178Oliver a bro. He can put his lips to Ceruleans any day.
>>27960252Best run that by Bruise.
>>27960235no, it could work quite well. though i still think we would focus on range and use that as a back up.our icy wind will work wonders on the bug type of veridion. though those picachus are gonna be deadly
>>27960237Will we be able to add salt to our water naturally when we learn Brine?
>>27960239unless we pick up some electric implants.
>>27960219>>27960235On land, yep. Under water, we'd have better luck, since that's what we actually trained for. Also, I don't exactly understand Amphibious Combat. Can someone explain it to me? Do we get a bonus from transitioning or from attacking the other area (land or water) while remaining in the opposite area?
>>27960259HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHi love you Prof
>>27960237better not, salt water freezes slower than pure water. Just carry some salt in a bag
>>27960259I think I just got the joke. He moved like ROCK lee yesterday and he trains with all the earth and ground types.
>>27960219I feel like it would probably be easier just to grapple someone and freeze their face so they can't breathe.
>>27960259That's a good idea, really. We could ask him for some help on forming a style of fighting using our abilities. He might not be able to direct us, but his perspective would be of great use.
>>27960274i think consensus has finially been settled on ice as our next. i was a fire/electric supporter before but the versatility of ice and water finially swayyed me. plus we already have it and we can give the other types to others.though i still support getting a squirtle and a shelder and several other pure waters
>>27960329then that is it. but we can also just jump in real quick and freeze their throat.since we dont have much defense we sohuld focus on dodging and dealing damage quick
>>27960330I thought we were going for Ranged build, getting close to grapple seems like something we really wanted to avoid happening.
>>27960338I think starmies would be good, since they see to give regen.Note Misty being the only un-scarred gym leader and Aqua regrew an eye.
>>27960338I am still a firm believer that /tg/ will be unable to resist taking parts from the cool pokemon they have the chance to assimilate.
>>27960330I'm sure he will have plenty of tips. But he WILL want to spar with our new freezing style
>>27960363Staryu, since starmie has part psychic.
>>27960363Starmie is water/psychic
>>27960353of course, but there will be times when we will need CQC. not training it would just be stupid.>>27960364then we must do everything possible to stop the fickleness that is /tg/s baser instincts
>>27960364>From the first cool pokemonGod damn
>>27960322And, uh.....Bruce Lee. Bruise Lee.Rock Lee was based on Bruce Lee, you know?>>27960329Oh hey, We learned something from this accident at least. We Water Gun an enemy in their face, then freeze it to suffocate them. Excellent. At the very least, it would stun them greatly.>>27960353From the flow of things, it seems like we're going for a hybrid between the two.
>>27960388>>27960363yes staryu will be usefull.so:SquirtleStaryuShelder???how about psyduck? for them esper abilities
>>27960402Hey, man. Chill.
>>27960405>And, uh.....Bruce Lee. Bruise Lee.>Rock Lee was based on Bruce Lee, you know?I know but come on man ROCK lee, Rock pokemon, don't you see it? Plus I meant when he did the leg weight drop specifically.
>>27960433psyduck = constant headacheNo thanks.
>>27960405but if we water gun them we are probably gonna be far away from them
>>27960433I seem to remember that psyduck can use calm mind

>>27960442Stay frosty /tg/
>>27960449not once we become a golduck, and it would give us plenty of time with our new esper friend. That was the cutest scene ever
So now it is time for the REAL questionDo we get wings or not?

>>27960480I kind of feel like any pokemon we'd be able to capture would be better served being given to new recruits.Gotta keep the cause strong.Wait until our lack of extra grafts actually becomes an issue before we start thinking about ourselves.
>>27960559i have bulbapedia up rightnow and have been getting all my info from there
>>27960559Don't forget Norman and Flying pokemon don't count for some reason.Feel like we would do well to exploit that.
>>27960570It also depends on their rules.do we get to keep our own kills? will we be provided with new grafts? a combo of the two? graft trading?
>>27960589Norman Pokemon?Come on, that's an even dumber name than Cerulean.
>>27960589that is what i though at first to, but when you look there isn't really that many beneficial options
>>27960589And of course I mean Normal.Norman isn't a type of pokemon.
>>27960546lets start with a pidgey and evolve it to pigeot through training. Mach 2 flight speed is pretty cool.or we could grab some magikarp implants and train for gyarados water/flying with some dragon moves is pretty cool and we may eventually be able to use its mega evolution.
>>27960371>But he WILL want to spar with our new freezing styleWe don't even have a style. We just have the idea of a style. Bruise, however, has been rigorously training on his physical abilities. We could incorporate freezing into our aquatic combat skills, but above land, we'd just be brawling to the best of our abilities.
>>27960609You guys keep focusing entirely on the type instead of the cool abilities we could be getting.
I think Vaporeon would make an amazing poke to get.>Can melt into water for stealth or defense>Gills, so we don't have to surface anymore>Hydrokinesis>Can predict rain
>>27960593I think we'd only be provided new grafts if we show ourselves to be worth the investment. And I doubt we'd keep our own kills, since if that was the case where would grafts even come from?
>>27960623HAHAHAHAHHAH Nowe are not becoming a gyarados unless there are others who have already done it. that shit dangerouslets get a pidgey though, though it ay hamper our swimming abilities
>>27960623>gyaradosPeople keep forgetting he will also turn us nuts.
>>27960643I wonder how important Eevees are in this world, considering how versatile they are.
>>27960623>Getting a MagikarpWe've discussed this.Evolving it into a Gyarados would provide unfortunate alterations to our brain chemistry. Also, are we supposed to submit an action of some kind?
>>27960662Have to make will saves not to go berserk and eat our teammates kind of nuts
>>27960643i support this.we should see about picking up a few more water bladders. they don't have to be from any pokeomn in particular and i'm sure they have some spares from other types that took some down
>>27960672Our pokedex doesn't include any entries for elemental stones so I'm not sure that this society is aware of the versatility of Eevee
>>27960678>>27960662>>27960649Magikarps are apparently kill on sight targets.
>>27960678no, he's writing. apparently it is "the assembly" or something. probably the pre mission briefing before veridion forest
Time comes for the Veridian Forest training mission deployment. This is the first true test for all ranger recruits. You will be led by a senior recruit that has already passed the woods.Standing in lineup, the teams are called by Sergeant Azure under a overcast day in the pallet center of Kanto City.Restless scouts fidget about as they have their own hopes for team pairs, glancing over to their friends from same gyms and acquaintances from others. The lineup is filled with disappointment here and there as the senior cadets stand awaiting their respective teams. You notice a startling lack of the Cinnabar gym members for this mission. It then dawns on you that they may be exempt just the same for their fire abilities. Likely they'd have an alternate exercise to pass them."Cerulean!" Your name called interrupts your thoughts, and you snap to attention at salute," Sir!" You gasp out, trying to show some semblance of paying attention.Other uncalled children snicker about you, causing you to blush. Were you supposed to be doing something?"I said to fall in with Janine's group, recruit!""Sir!" You repeat and run forward, blushing as you look at the seemingly expectant Senior cadets, even Oliver and the coldeen sisters stand among them. Before anyone yells at you again, a girl with bright purple hair and piercing eyes complemented by an insect-like auxiliary pair inclines her head to you. Her outfit much like a female ninja of the Fuschias as you have seen, it dawns upon you, as you beat yourself up on the inside that you're with a fuschia squad leader.Falling in behind her, you keep blushing furiously and putting your head down to try to hide it.Janine doesn't seem to take a second look at you.Who else is called to fall in with you and your poison leader?>Choose two> Pewter Member> Vermillion member> Veridian Member> Celadon Member> Saffron Member
>>27960683I second this. Prof even said we could increase the size of our water bladders so i'm sure this is possible
>>27960704Well it's just common sense.Every dead Magikarp is one less potential Gyarados. The only reason not to do it is if we don't know about the connection....Plus I'd imagine that Magikarp are at least mediocre eating.
>>27960725Question, Prof; whenever we get around to trying the icicle gun again, could we ask a trainer to help us with it? Perhaps get a bonus to our dice?>Vermillion memberSomeone with fire abilities would be useful.
>>27960725>> Saffron Member>> Pewter Memberthose who won't be hurt by our ice
>>27960725Vermillion and Pewter.
>>27960764Vermillion is Electric.Cinnabars aren't allowed on this mission.
>>27960742probably pretty fucking delicious considering the power potential they have
>>27960725[x] Celadon Member[x] Saffron Member
>>27960640Getting a Farfetch'd for example could let us use sticks like metal swords and getting a Kangaskhan could let us sleep standing up, while tarus could give us whip tails and porygon could lets become part of the internet.
>>27960725>Pewter Member>Vermillion Member
Rolled 97>>27960725>>[x] Pewter Member>>[x] Saffron Member
>>27960725>>27960764Oops, made a mistake here. I just assumed from the name that they were the fire guys.Changing my vote to Pewter.
>>27960725>>> Saffron Member> Pewter Member
>>27960725> Pewter Member> Saffron Member
>>27960725>[X] Saffron Member>[X] Pewter Member
>>27960765> Saffron Member> Pewter Memberlets hope for Bruise and Grumpy they can bicker and be strong/smart and we can be the soft fluffy lovable center of the team.
>>27960805>>27960725And my vote for the other guy.....Saffron. Just for the potential hijinx.
>>27960725Pewter and Saffron
We could always get a chansey can max out of cuteness scale
>>27960825oops linked wrong post>>27960725
>>27960643Seel + Vaporeon would be absolutely adorable!
>>27960849>>27960840or a lickatung for dat lesbian sex
>>27960825We may not necessarily get those two.BUT WHO KNOWS.
Pewter+Saffron it is.>>27960861Yeah, about that.
>>27960875we could also get our sleepy friend
>>27960875>Yeah, about that.I'm thinking we got generic McGeodude and an unaugmented walking superiority complex, yeah?
>>27960890I think she was a senior member.
>>27960892i'm hoping we atleast get the girl we fought fom before
>>27960903No, all she could really do was throw up a shield and toss some rocks. if she was a senior member then there lower members must suck
>>27960903Did a quick search through the last thread: Alexis wasn't described as a senior.
>>27960875You should update the pastebin. i wanna see what icy wind three does.
Guys we need to hook bryan up with someone with shellder implants eventually if it doesn't make them conjoined.
>>27960986no, we need a shelder to bite his head.and we need to get a taste of his tail
>>27961011but does it apply to those with shellder grafts as well? or will he only evolve if he receives shellder grafts?
>>27961034last thread op said that is a shelder bit his tail he would become a slowbro so it makes sense that it would take a shelder biting his head for him to become a slowking.or maybe they can implant the poison gland into his brain?
>>27959738>On other days, you commit to mastering your cryogenic powers, increasing the lovely bitterness of your icy wind, now able to generate a thin layer of frost upon part of the Cerulean lake.>>27960941Here, just so that you can get an idea. I don't really see how this differs from our level 2 variant, though, since the description said we could already create frost "even in passing".
>>27961079Yeah, which is why i wanted to see the description of level three.was it thick enough to walk on? or just a sheet a couple inches thick?
>>27961079>>27961115i imagine we can tone it down a bit right? so that we could use it to cool ourselves without killing our friends?
So, did we come to some kind of consensus about which types we should look for after bickering about it for 4 threads?
>>27961310pretty sure ice won out. so any ice or waterbut we will grab everything possible because we have teammates.
>>27961335Hmmmm, maybe electric for Aqua?not our choice but maybe
"Goldenrod!" Is the next name called for Janine's team, the Senior Recruit doesn't budge or flinch an inch as the yellow furred Esper steps forward from the line, looking up to meet the gaze of Janine for a moment."Nice to be on your squad..." He trails off as he falls in behind you, looking quite a bit more depressed than usual. You look back to him," Hey Grumpy, you okay?"The Esper's lip quivers into a foul sneer accented by the yellow tufts of fur at his cheeks," No one asked you to ta-""Be silent." A harsh word from the Fuschia member before you chides back. It surprises you and puts a painful chill of guilty conscience in your heart as you snap forward.Nothing else is uttered from Grumpy either."Bruise Lee!" The call ushers a groan from Goldenrod as the Pewter steps forward to your team. A smile splatters itself across your face, glad that you ended up on the same team with him.Stopping before Janine, Bruise places his fists together, and bows respectfully," I am pleased to fight with you." He says with a short word.To your surprise, Janine reciprocates the gesture and beckons him to stand with the rest of the lineup.>Janine(Fuschia)>>Cerulean(Cerulean)>>Bruise Lee(Pewter)>>Goldenrod(Saffron)Your mission is made clear at the debriefing. The teams are to enter the woods with three Duck-like monsters released within.Your three teams are to retrieve either the stick that it wields, or the duck itself. Merit will be given based upon how well it is done.>With the unique stick it bears, the lowest honors, just passing.>Dead, yet retrieved, higher honors.>Alive for possible harvesting, the highest. If done, you will have your choice of additional grafts in the future. The Strongest ranger, Giovanni himself steps forward, taking the floor. Three rangers in black outfits with R armbands standing at attention at either of his sides.
You get a good look at him, and them. The rangers to the right, in order: A man bearing a gasmask with a cream colored mane of hair running down his back like a mowhawk.A Woman with a venomous stair and a folded hood upon her neck, enchanting markings peeking out from the fold.A Younger Ranger with whiskers near his nose, and slanted cat-like eyes, a red gem upon his head peeking out from his beret. On the other side, the people there to the left: A female ranger with a blindfold on, a bluish tint to his skin, and fangs peeking out from his closed mouth.Another with a burning mane of almost ephemeral flames that run over his clothes without catching flame, a horn poking through his forehead that dwarfs your own.and the last one bears severely armored skin and a short ridge upon his head.In the middle Giovanni stands in nothing but a suit, with a tastefl beret and a flower upon his coat-pocket.With a soothing, yet almost bored voice, "Good of you all to visit the prestigious Veridian quarter, as you know, this is the only quarter that sees monsters within our very own dome. It is for this reason that you come here today for practical training. Your three months of training, should have you well prepared for this." He pauses, and looks over the assembly of seven teams standing before him."It is with my condolences that I must tell you that some of you may die from this excursion. We have many dozens of poisonous pokemon stocked within the woods, and others just as dangerous. You will be working as a team to catch me dinner due within three days, a Duck known as Farfetch'd that bears a curious and tasty leek. Three will be released, and you will be competing with or against each other to capture the creatures, alive, or otherwise retrieve their leeks. You will be issued a flare gun in case an emergency arises, and an Esper should be at your side in an instant in response.
>>27961395>A man bearing a gasmask with a cream colored mane of hair running down his back like a mowhawk.>A Woman with a venomous stair and a folded hood upon her neck, enchanting markings peeking out from the fold.>A Younger Ranger with whiskers near his nose, and slanted cat-like eyes, a red gem upon his head peeking out from his beret.Team Rocket? Where's their balloon?
>>27961378>three Duck-like monstersSo. We can expect Golducks.Or Farfetched. I don't know.
>>27961395Hey look a Forest of Death Situation
>>27961395Good to see that Giovanni being made of style and class is a universal constant. Also, we're fucked.
>>27961443>With the unique stick it bears, the lowest honors, just passing.Oh wait, just noticed this.Definitely Farfetched. Also.>>27961395>You will be working as a team to catch me dinnerWe're risking our lives for his diner. Huh.
>>27961443it says farfetchd
>>27961477They already had the Farfetch'd caught, he could have eaten them without the fuss if he wanted. It's just that Farfetch'd is a relatively innocuous target for us to capture, as a way of testing us.
>>27961395So talk to team about our capabilities to see if its possible for us to bring it in alive?
>>27961475Nahwe got:The strongest esper (teleport)Fucking Bruise Lee (nuff said)US (ice ice baby)Fuchia girl. (what type is she? bug?)
>>27961522>US (ice ice baby)>Not "over 300 confirmed kills"
>>27961520pretty sure they expect us to. we have all the OP rookies and us.There are so many Naruto parallels in this Quest it isn't even funny.
>>27961515I don't see how that matters in relation to what I said. We're getting him dinner. And we're risking our lives.
>It can't live without the stalk it holds. That's why it defends the stalk from attackers with its life.>Lives where reedy plants grow. They are rarely seen, so it's thought their numbers are decreasing. Two Dex entries that we should keep in mind for this. Cant let it lose its leek if we want top score.
>>27961560Bruise Lee seems to be at the top of his gym, but who knows with Goldenrod. He seemed to be too reliant on his psychic powers, going by what happened during our cross gym training exercises last thread, and judging by his sullen demeanor, he might not be doing all that well.
>>27961522GoldenRod: son of a leader, has a very rare implant and can teleportBruise Lee: Overachiever with a chip on his shoulder against the espers for shutting down his dads gym.Cerulean: the only Ice type in the water gym, her mom is in the elite 4Fushia:
>>27961590especially if bruise continues to outshine him
I wish all of you good luck, and Arceuspeed. You will all need it."As Giovanni falls out, returning to his grand gym, the Rocket team members fall out and follow after, all of them stoic and dignified in their own way, yet as they do so, the one feline stops, taking the stage for himself. With a similar presence upon the stage, and an excitable and loud feminine voice,"Oh, and Lord Giovanni had wanted me to mention something!" It's a.. girl?"The first team to make it back with the duck-thing alive will be treated to a roast with master Giovanni himself! So, well.." She fumbles tracing her fingers together," Do your very best kids!" The Young woman gives the recruits a wink and damn near skips away and back to her "master."With Giovanni's presence gone, you feel a certain sense of relief despite the fact that he hadn't said anything inherently threatening, though the way that the Rockets stand with him.. That's what's most unnerving. They certainly appeared heavily modified, though mostly just one species.. Strange.Janine looks back to her assembled team, looking over each one of you with her analytical stare, the secondary insect eyes seeming to take in far more than her human ones."Janine, granddaughter to Koga. I am confirmed to be a Poison/Bug Hybrid, a Venonat species. I sweat poison," She begins to pace back and forth as the sergeant would to the assembly of scouts," I am skilled and trained in hand to hand combat, toxicology, that is the study of poisons, venoms, and their antidotes. We should have little to worry about from the poisonous creatures that we encounter here. So tell me, what are each of you capable of, in your own words? I shall have the Cerulean go first, with her own words." She gestures to you, her gaze locking,"Speak.">What will you say Cerulean?
>>27961585I sure hope we have duckt tape, or atleast rope.
>>27961624"Cerulean, confirmed to be Water type, Seel species, I can make ice and use a spear. I'm best at mid-range.
>>27961624Stand at attention and salute her before speaking. Are we expected to talk about our heritage?
>>27961624I am a pure water type. A layer of fat makes me resistant to both ice and fire. My horn allow me to use ice moves. I am a skilled swimmer and polearm wielder. I excel at midrange and support roles.Do not mention Lorelei.
>>27961624>300 kills inc
>>27961624i have area of affect ice attacks and can freeze things on contact. i also have the aability to create a mist. i am resistant to both frie and ice and i recover in water. i can also freeze things into the likeness of whatever i choose, though more complicated is tougher
>>27961686Heritage optional. This should tell you something about Janine.
>>27961696>>27961671not mentioning our AoE attack, it is the only one in the party
>>27961728Yeah lets not leave that out. it will work wonders on bug swarms.Seconding this>>27961711 but also mention spear use
>>27961624>>27961686Anyway, here's mine:>"Ma'am, Cerulean. I've been augmented with a Water type implant of the Seel species. I possess the animal's horn and water bladder. I possess some skill at cryokinesis and at underwater combat. I have been trained to handle a polearm."If we choose to tell her of our heritage, change the first line to:>"Ma'am, Cerulean, daughter of Lorelei.">>27961714>>27961696Oh, guys, I think we should tell her.
>>27961761See this>>27961728that shit is important
>>27961624Cerulean, Water type, Seel graft. I can fire water from my mouth and conjure a cold wind from my horn. I have some ability to conjure icicle shards, but it still needs practice. I have a horn that seems like it could hurt people if I hit them with it, and some experience with a spear. I'm a really good swimmer and can hold my breath for a long time.
>>27961761I thought we didn't want to deal with the pressure of people knowing our heritage? We sure tried hard enough to keep it from our Cerulean team mates before. I'm sticking with not revealing our heritage.
>>27961624Guys, her grandfather is Koga. She might already know that we're Lorelei's daughter.>>27961777Did you mean to quote someone else, or...?
>>27961779might wanna leave out the "can hold my breath for a long time" makes us seem childish
>>27961624Cerulean, Water type, though capable of using Ice. Seel species. I am skilled in aquatic and amphibious combat. I am trained in the use of polearms. I can generate freezing winds, flash freeze water at close range, generate mist, and fire pressurized shots of water. I am limited to five shots of water before I must refill.
>>27961788No, cryokinesis doesn't describe our icy wind attack at all. and right now it is our strongest attack
>>27961761I think we should hide, if anything because it may cause other people to hold us to an higher standards.
>>27961786>>27961824We don't want to tell our friends about it, but if we're expected to mention it (since Janine seems to be the traditional type, judging by how she speaks and the way she treated Bruise), we might have to.Plus, her grandfather is Koga, so she might already be aware that we're Lorelei's daughter. We don't have to shout it out. Just say it casually and move on through it.
>>27961803This Seems to cover everything
>>27961803Let's say this. I think it covers everything we want it to without revealing our past quite well.
>>27961803This is sufficiently succinct.
>>27961832no lets not say it. if we dont tell our friends we don't tell people we don't know.plus that guy told us not to tell anyone
>>27961860Oh, if we were told not to tell it, then that's quite alright.
>>27961860>>27961871But wait, who told us not to mention it?
>>27961891the dude that asked every trainee what their goal was
>>27961310>consensus>tg>NOT bitching>being this newfag
>>27961891Uh. Noone? I'm not sure why anon is saying that. >>27961761I'd say this works. Go ahead and add out heritage. Make it obvious we're not too proud of it though. We wanna be the best, we don't wanna be our mother's child.
>>27961900Yeah, I was looking through that thread right now, but I can't find him saying it. All he said when he left us was that he was expecting quite a bit from us, being Lorelei's daughter.
>>27961912>>27961917oh my bad the i thought he said not to tell people. But it is still out of character since we didn't tell our closest friends
>>27961912>I'd say this works. Go ahead and add out heritage. Make it obvious we're not too proud of it though. We wanna be the best, we don't wanna be our mother's child. This is reasonable.>>27961935Telling a stranger of our relation is quite different from telling a close friend about it. There's a different feeling about it.
>The leek causes Farfetch'd to have a 25% crit chance
>>27961912lets just not tell them cause then we have to deal with bullshit about grumpy telling everyone and expectations and shit we dont want to deal with
>>27961949Bruise and Grumy are not strangers.telling them of our relation to lorieli benefits the mission in no way at all.
>>27961935>>27961949Not just telling a stranger, but telling our commander, who already made it a point to tell us she's Koga's grandkid. It's basically a prompt for us to own up.
>>27961958>we have to deal with bullshit about grumpy telling everyoneI'm not sure what part of his character makes you think he'd do that.I'm fine with mentioning our heritage in passing, and it seems like Janine actually expects us to do so (and the Professor seemed like he was hinting at this).
>>27961949If you really want to tell the leader we can do it later without grumpy and bruise listening and ask her not to spread it around. but it id just problems we don't want to deal with
>>27961956Well, we still have the advantage of type (ice from us, rock from pewter).>>27961978I think we should keep it as an ace in our sleeve if someone starts gloating about his own heritage.
>>27961978not really, just cause she said hers doesn't mean we have to say ours>>27961989grumpy is the asshole whiny spolied kid. nuff said
>>27961972Bruise and Goldie aren't really our close friends, either. They're associates.Telling them of who our parent is, is a sign of respect and trust. Like what Giovanni said.We could die in this forest. So by entrusting our secrets to them, we're also showing our solidarity with them.>>27961994Um, that actually won't be the same. The way I'm reading Janine's words, it seems as if she expects this as a formality.>>27962017She stated her parentage not because she was bragging, but because she was being formal.
>>27962017I think grumpy just need a hug and some attention. Two things he probably didn't get often.
I haven't been participating in this argument, but I don't want to just tell them we're Lorieli's kid. It seems really scummy after not telling our friends.Let's just go with >>27961803.
>>27962036>Telling them of who our parent is, is a sign of respect and trust. Like what Giovanni said.Cerulean confirmed for not trusting Aqua and Marine.
You bring your hand up in a salute at attention, "Ma'am, I am Cerulean, of the Cerulean Gym. Water type, though capable of using Ice. Seel species. You take a breath,"I am skilled in aquatic and amphibious combat. I am trained in the use of polearms. I can generate freezing winds, flash freeze water at close range, generate mist, and fire pressurized shots of water." You swallow under her harsh glare, slight sweat beading upon your brow from her scrutiny," I am limited to five shots of water before I must refill... That is all, Ma'am!"Janine brings the knuckle of her index finger up to her lips as she seems to consider something,"Good Cerulean. Next, Goldenrod."Goldenrod looks her in the eye for a moment averting her partially insect gaze before saluting, and avoiding eye contact,"Ma'am, I am Goldenrod of the Saffron. I am an insignificant worm that can do nothing special. I am gifted in the art of teleportation, and little else. I will be required to meditate for most of this mission otherwise I will be unable to do even that. I am sorry that I am not what you were expecting." Near the end of his little speech, you can see Grumpy's lip begin to quiver from the corner of your eye, though he manages to hold it down.Janine seems unphased by his words," So long as the mission is a success, you will be a success. Your ability could be quite useful should we run into danger."Goldenrod looks up, his mouth hanging open with a slight blush, he nods," Yes Ma'am. With that, she moves on."Bruise lee, you're last, tell me what I can expect from you."
>>27962036we are not formal, and we have already kept our parentage from our closest friends, the ones we trust more than anybody esle. what makes you think she/we would tell these people?
>>27962052>I am an insignificant worm that can do nothing special.Yeesh. Saffron gym sounds like a horrible place for self-esteem building. We can work on his self-esteem, I think, by assigning him a scouting position. He could teleport to high places without alerting our targets.
>>27962052Looks like Grumpy's been drinking the self-loathing koolaid
>>27962079>>27962078>>27962052Whatever we do, I vote to start this by giving him a hug and telling him he's not worthless.
>>27962078yeah. but once he evolves he is gonna be OP as fuck.anybody up for getting him a starmie?
>>27962093Hugs seem to be our specialty. warm, fuzzy, soft, cute, loving hugs
>>27962096Not much point. He's already gonna learn Recover.
>>27962093Don't hug him out of the blue.Ask Janine for permission to hug cadet Goldenrod for the purposes of increasing his morale.
>>27962063We want to live up to other people's expectations. And if she seemed like she wanted us to state it, then...?It's a moot point now, though, so I suppose there's no use discussing it any further.
>>27962121meant that more for us to get some therapy for him. but i doubt his bitchy mother would allow it
Bruise Lee brings his hands together for a martial bow,“Ma'am, I am Bruise Lee, born Saffron, of Pewter Gym. I bring the ability to break through stone with my bare hands,m the the hides of my peers in Pewter have me stumped. As with the traditional practice of Pewter, I have also been trained to spot unassuming threats and use my full attention when observing my surroundings, as is expected of a Pewter Ranger.""Isn't that something anyone cou-""Be silent." Janine's words cut off Goldenrods', though she does not seem to look at him, save for those strange insect eyes.Looking Bruise up and down, she actually smiles a little bit," You're strong, I saw you at the obstacle course. Thought you had to be an Esper or a Fuschia to move like that."Bruise inclines his head,"I only train as hard as I can, there are still barriers that I have not yet surpassed. >>27962419He could always use his esper powers to boost his physical prowess. Just like he could throw rocks with brainpower he could do the same but with his fists. When and if he survives to get stronger that is.

As she looks over your requisition form," Good loadout Cerulean, Seems that you're really invested in catching this thing alive. I had to kill it." She smirks, looking up from the sheet."Oh right, I should tell you all, this mission makes it so that an honored victory of both live-capture and the leek will rob another squad of their victory. I will only be leading you, It will be down to a vote whether we allow another to bring back the leek, we will discuss it then."Bruise nods, and Goldenrod says nothing, looking over his sheet. Janine turns to you, looking her eyes upon you,"If you want to get the 3P gear, go ahead. Though I should warn you, the fans can be pretty loud. >>27963019>>27963007>>27963041Basically, we can fulfill any role. We're utilitarians. We're not purely ranged. We're not purely melee. We can switch to whatever is needed. And to concentrate it....I just said it, instead of dispersing the water, just shoot it at their face first. Most of the water will splash away into the surrounding area, but since it's spittle, quite a bit will stick to the face, which we can then freeze.

An electrical grid running between the sheets, likely to act as a deterrent for whatever may try to escape. It's at least high enough for some of the creatures to fly, and you see them. Majestic birds soaring over the thick greenhouse wood, seeming to seek out prey, their glorious plumage fluttering upon their head. From this distance, you feel the scrutiny of its glare even beyond the dual panes of glass. Its a little unnerving.Janine presses on as you, Bruise, and Goldenrod follow in suit. A Veridian guard bearing Similar eyes to Janine looks over your access, and he pulls out four flare guns, one for each of you as you dutifully take it and put it in your own emergency bag."Stay safe Recruits, the Espers will be on standby." His gaze lingers upon Goldenrod a moment, and he smirks, bending a scar running across his lips. She holds a hand up, ushering you to relax," They'll smell your fear at this rate." A small twinge of terror runs through your body,"T-they can?""Some, yes, maybe. It's time to turn on our repel gear, lowest setting. It'll keep most of the little things from noticing us unless we decide to scream at them or bump into one. I've been told that it makes them blind to us, though it doesn't always make them deaf or lack their nose." You look at the gauge situated next to your arm-mounted index, and flick the switch on for the repel gear, a slight hum, and then silence. As your teammates do so, you have trouble seeing them for a moment until you put them back into focus."Next thing, the index. There are three, and rather elusive. They're bound to leave marks, and attack monsters that want to eat them. We'll begin by searching the trails fro brown feathers or marks in trees and slashed monsters. Watch your step around bushes and be careful around trees and brown things attached to them. Use your short range communications to keep in contact, and contact each other if you get lost."Janine looks around the tall trees of the wood, seeming to nod and listen to the nearly pleasant sounds and the chirps," Nothing's startled them yet. We'll split up if it stays like this. Our first action should be to find a source of water for ourselves and the target." With a pause, she looks you over," Would you be able to divine that?"With a soured frown, you shake your head," No, No good at finding water. Really heavy in here though." You pant, the heat slowly getting to you."I could scout for water from the trees. with my ability." Goldenrod mumbles, looking up at Janine, meeting her eyes. "I'd be able to see a lot from up there."Janine gives him a nod," Then do so, I can already see that Cerulean will need water."> No, no I'm fine. Really. (Tenacity roll DC 15)> Thank you, it'd help a lot.> (Other)

>>27963937> Thank you, it'd help a lot.
>>27963937>Thank you, it'd help a lot.No reason to refuse his help. Once everyone has gotten into the rhythm of working together, the mission will be able to progress all the more smoothly.
>>27963937No reason not to, since finding a water source might help find the Farfetch'd.
>>27963979Is true. They like to hang around reeds.
>>27963979farfetch'd live in grasslands and where reeds grow
>[X] Thank you, it'd help a lot.Animals often hang around water anyway, so it's a good starting point to look for tracks and there's no real reason not to.
"Thanks," You pant," It'd really help a lot." You say as the uncomfortable heat washes over your body again.Goldenrod looks at you, and then averts his eyes down,"I'll try hard." In the next moment, he vanishes appearing within sight near the top of one of the trees before a second teleport. He might just be alright.Janine looks up as he vanishes and turns her attention to the two of you, keep your eyes out for threats. While we're still at the entrance, we may still encounter some monsters. Here, you're going to want to watch out for small horned creatures, they sprout toxic barbs when threatened. Most of the others aren't a big deal if we avoid them."Bruise seems considerate as he looks at his own index, carefully pressing inputs despite his cestus, nodding,"Nidoran, they're known as the Poison Pin monsters. I can see why we'd want o watch out. If I didn't have the cestus, I might not even be able to touch them. You open up your own Index to look up the entry, frowning as you read one variant>#032:Nidoran(male)>Type: Poison pin>Danger Level: D>Entry: A small creature, more aggressive than its counterpart and just as toxic. Caution is to be taken should there be signs of encroaching upon one. It will charge and aim to stab with its toxic horn if threatened.>It also bears toxic quills that it extends when angered. >Excellent for making toxic rangers."It's on the floor, right? If we get near-""If we get near, the repel gear should help us escape detection. And we have two mid ranged fighters suited for dealing with them. We'll be fine."Janine turns to look at a spot, just as Goldenrod ports back, he recoils with a small amount of terror, falling back onto the ground," Woah, woah, woah... That was weird."
"Report,"Goldenrod stands up abruptly and salutes, getting an "At ease" from Janine. He starts," I sensed a lot of monsters to the west of here, West South-west To be more specific. We should find water there."Janine gives Goldenrod a pat on the head, making him smile a little," Good work, we move out by his direction!" >End Thread>Will post in Twitter for next time.
>>27964207THE HUNT BEGINS
>>27964193>"I'll try hard."Oh boy.Well, he seems to be warming up to us. Next thread, we can work on connecting him with Bruise.See you next time, Prof.
>>27964193Why was he scared?
>>27964207http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/27958167/Archived. Thanks for the game.>>27964234THE HUNT! HOW IT REMINDS ME OF THE HUNT!>>27964247He saw a lot of monsters. I suspect that this is the first time many of the cadets will have ever encountered a monster.
>Current skill points: 3Is that accurate?
>>27964247Janine looked at where he would be, before he was there, seeing her staring dead at him. After seeing the garden-grade yet deadly monsters of course. While they are on par with animals, they do bear a certain degree of sentience.>>27964264No, needs to be updated. All spent.
>>27964275>Janine looked at where he would be, before he was there, seeing her staring dead at him.Friggin' bug types.
>>27964275Hey Prof, is it possible to use Ice Shard to create cataracts? Since we don't have the training to accurately throw them at our targets, we can at least leave them on the ground as traps.
>>27964311Caltrops? A potential hazard They'll also melt before they do anything useful, especially in this greenhouse effect.
>>27964347what about creating blades of ice on our hands/knuckles?
>>27964330I meant caltrops, heh.>>27964347Ah, the environment is working against us. But how long would they last? Could we create them quickly enough and throw them down in front of a creature that's rushing us/one of the others? Also, what do you mean by potential hazard?
>>27964347You need to get working on that pokedex
>>27964347Are there normal animals in this world, or is it all pokemon all the time?
>>27964368or for that matter ice armor?
>>27964347Would this map be considered accurate, as far as the locations of these regions? Not that the resources currently exist that could take us to Hoenn or Sinnoh.
>>27964519i wonder if they'll ever do the whole thing. either in pieces or just kinda stick them all together and create one very very larger game. and raise the level cap. and add a ton of new shit
>>27964708I hope they end up doing that eventually. Also raise the max number of moves a pokemon can know.
>>27964737It is gonna be a long long time before they change the base format for pokemon games.next you're gonna ask for real time battles or for trainers to be participating or for the main char to be older than 10
>>27964778Woah, man, slow down. That's a bit too revolutionary for me....damn man....older than 10....what are you thinking...
>>27964810The eternal 10 year old is a tradition.
>>27964778Or a new type to be introduced...Oh wait-
