>Opening theme>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F468us4qCUEWelcome to the world of- Oh, I'm sorry. We've met before haven't we? Right then.Previously our young hero, Cerulean awoke from her surgery, bearing high functioning biology procured from a seal monster colloquially known as "seel." Roused with her first rite of passage as a ranger done and over with, she greets her hometown friends, Aqua and Marine, whom have received Staryu and Squirtle, respectively. An esper child from Saffron Quarter met our young heroine with a foul temper, while a gray child of the same origin greeted her warmly, though with an uncharacteristic physique. Now they begin their first training day on their path to defend one of the last bastions of humanity.>Character Sheet>http://pastebin.com/7CJx3gq1>Previous threadhttp://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Attack%20on%20Pokemon%20Hunter%20Quest
>>27848941Yeeesss! Long have I waited for this time, this time of glory and beauty.
I have a friend who was starting to panic because this was fifteen minutes late.I never read Akuma Quest, but I think my friend's anticipation is an indicator that good things are coming.
>>27848941I was wondering, do egg groups have anything to do with the success of multiple pokemon grafts?Because that seems like a logical limitation that you can't just graft anything to anything, but that would leave Aqua kind of screwed over since Water 3 sucks.
>>27849155I did not panic. Well. Maybe a little. Shut up.
>>27848941Here we go!
Question Professor, do we have access to pokemon in the evolutionary lines of pokemons from Kanto outside the original 151?
>>27848941I am so ready for this
>>27848941>http://pastebin.com/7CJx3gq1neat, we have Hydration. Does this mean we can regeneratel with Rest while in water and stay awake?
>>27848941Op a mega evolutions a thing in this quest
>>27849289here we fucking gowho needs sleep? not me
>>27849300the pastebin says only status, things like poison, stun, impairment. things like that.
>>27849406Rest inflicts Sleep status on you and restores your health to full.Hydration combos with that in rain teams to make very tanky pokes.
can we get the specs for assimilation? so we can decide if it is worth the risk to start assimilating every pokemon we can?
The sky outside of the dome is clear, it's a brilliant day as the rays refract off of the glass, beaming down upon all the people behind the safe, protective barrier that is the dome. You stand alongside other recruits. Your peers, your equals. It's been a week since you awoke in the hospital bed, a week since you witnessed the girl's horrible rejection of her implants. Yet even so, she still stands with the rest of you near the back of formation, her face patched up, and nearly a mummy. a couple others bear similar sickness.Your stomach turns at the thought of what happened to her, and you feel like you couldn't turn any paler.Around the dusty square are the eyes of the eight gym leaders, even Giovanni himself had come out to bear witness to this year's recruits, despite the fact that you all number so few.A man known as Sergeant Azure walks the line, examining each and every single recruit. He leans in, speaking to each recruit, from far off, you couldn't hear what was said, yet as he gets closer to your position in line, you hear it as he asked Marine, who's two spaces away from you."Recruit, why have you become a Ranger?" His voice is low and somewhat harsh, yet not without a certain gentleness."To be the very best I can be, and protect my friends and family from the monsters at our door, sir!" She shouts with a glee typical of her, along with that practical response. He nods, moving onto Aqua,"Recruit, why have you become a ranger?" The same tone.Aqua's eyes glint with the seriousness and the intellect that you know him for," Sir, I have become a ranger to see the limits of the man that I can be! I have become a ranger to make my family proud!"A nod, and another pass. The man looms over you, subtle implants over his body, you can't quite make anything out of him save for being a normal human at a glance, yet you do notice that there is a horn poking out from his beret, and you feel a certain heat from his breath. Fire, maybe?
>>27849440>>>Hydration: May restore status when resting in rain or water.
>>27849456anybody have a great 1 liner for our reply?
"Recruit?" You hesitated in your response, and his words snap you out of your daze.>You say...>"Sir, I have become a ranger to follow in the steps of my mother, to show her that I may also be the very best that I may be, Sir!">"Sir, I have become a ranger to increase my family's standing in the community, and to assist in any way that I can, sir!">"Sir, I have become a ranger to challenge myself and my own ability, sir!">"(Write in)"
>>27849482The people in this quest frustrate me immensly. Rest the move is not the same thing as 'resting' as mentioned in the description of Hydration.
>>27849517"I want to be the very best. Like no one ever was."The only true option, honestly.
>>27849536that what i was saying, i was trying to prove that to the person i was replying to
>>27849517I wanna be the very bestLike no one ever wasTo catch them is my real testTo destroy them is my causeI will travel across the landSearching far and wideEach Pokemon to understandThe power that's inside!
>>27849456>>27849517>>27849533"To save everyone I can, and to make the world a safer place!"Maybe? If not then >>27849537
>>27849533>This will affect some backstory and character personality.I'll touch on a few of the posted questions...
>>27849533>"I became a ranger because your mother told me to look after you while we were in bed... sir."
>>27849533"Gotta catch em all" smile with ambition in our eyes
>>27849536I'm sure that OP can be flexible enough to have powers do what we need them to do, and there's no need to rules-lawyer
>>27849563Well, I suppose this might be pretty funny.
>>27849561dont close voting for awhile, this is a very important decision
>>27849533"I'll kill them, I'll kill them all" Gotta slay 'em all! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7upozH_JPg&feature=player_detailpage#t=15
>>27849592look, there is no way taking a bath is going to close a gash on our leg unless it is a special move or power that is thus specified.
>>27849592You seem to be forgetting the Attack On Titan aspects of this quest.he wont hesitate to kill NPCs and/or us. plot armor will be minimal or nonexistant
>>27849607>>27849583Votin either of these.
>>27849607Yes this is great and will totally not lead to our character being Precia from claymore. We will almost definitely not evolve on our first major mission and wind up becoming a huge threat to the city nosiree.
So do we have white skin or a thin layer of white fur?
>>27849607This works nicely
>>27849690Whatever we do we gotta do it confidently and with a smile. Now weather that smile is from rage, ambition, pride, or loyalty remains to be decided.
>>27849720evolving doesn't make us turn on our fellows. unless we take in a gyarados or something similar. seels are very passive pokemon. and i understood that we were going to resist the evolution because we wanted to have a second type other than ice.
>>27849187They do, however they may not always be reliable due to type differences.>>27849274Yes.And OC>>27849308You'll need to find out.>>27849440Rest does not fully recover all damage in one combat post. Hydration, just the same requires some time to kick in. It's good for flushing nasty toxins from the system.>>27849453Honestly still working on that. Though you'll see some high functioning mono and double hybrids.>>27849731Both. She's adorable.>>27849607A touch of psychopath may be interesting. Though you may want to consider and aspect of"mommy's girl.." for something nice.
>>27849805>>27849720He stated last thread that will checks may be occasionaly necesary
>>27849607Welp, that gets my vote.
>>27849816can the psychopath be from having our mommy be killed right infront of us by a pokemon?
>>27849886Cerulean has not yet experienced true despair. Oddish girl was the first taste.
>>27849816We're gonna end up turning into The Thing aren't we?
>>27849816Man... fuck it. Fine. Combine >>27849607 with >"Sir, I have become a ranger to follow in the steps of my mother, to show her that I may also be the very best that I may be, Sir!"
>>27849816Well then"I want to be the very bet. Like no one ever was. And make my mother proud."
>>27849886Yeah, lets add something about or mother. We want to become a better than our mother ever was, and we'll do so by killing them all.
>>27849911Oh god, for a second i could swear you were gonna bring down the dome.... wait your not going to.... are you? please donti like having a stable base
>>27849920We have no fucking reason to be Eren right off the bat.It makes no sense.
>>27849816"I'll kill them all, for mommy, for everyone, they have to die so we can live in peace. I'll kill them, I'll tear their flesh out, I'll even become one of them."
>>27849948Well the reason is that pokemon are kinda the fucking boogeymon/real monsters of the setting
>>27849953God fucking damnit, just because this is Attack on Titan inspired doesn't mean we start out as a psychopath.Did you even read the last thread?
>>27849974Yeah but Eren's parents were killed by titans.Ours haven't been, we don't have PTSD.Having that kind of vengeance-fueled hatred doesn't make sense for our character.
>>27850016And he was born a psychopath
>>27849986Hey, you can be friendly, happy, and love everyone... and still want to rip and shred and maul monsters. I GMed a great AdEva game where one of the PCs was a Neo-Spartan Berserker who loved everyone but went absolutely fucking nuts when an Angel showed its face.
>>27850016"To do anything possible to secure peace from the monsters, even if it means becoming a monster myself"
>>27850016Considering the setting, everyone has lost someone dear to those horrible if small monsters.
>>27849986I.... I was actually trying to not be too crazy, just a little righteous fury..
>>27849537I have to stick with this, instead of going full crazy.Maybe add in something about our mother.
So: With discussions having been done.I apologize for the tedium.Vote here, and link for counting:> "I want to be the very best. Like no one ever was, and make my mother proud, sir."> "I'll kill them all. For my mom, and for everyone. They need to die so that we can live, sir."Seem to be the most prominent.
>>27849816So. Fossils Pokemon. What about them?>>27849533>>27850016This guy here makes sense. We didn't really exhibit any of those characteristics last thread (and you even stated in this thread that our first taste of despair was with the girl whose surgery failed), so it'd be jarring for our character to suddenly develop. Not that we can't later develop into it, but it'd be too much of a leap.>>27849537Voting for this.
>>27850058this has my support, already deleted my last vote
>>27850068>> "I'll kill them all. For my mom, and for everyone. They need to die so that we can live, sir."
>>27850068>> "I want to be the very best. Like no one ever was, and make my mother proud, sir."
>>27850068> "I'll kill them all. For my mom, and for everyone. They need to die so that we can live, sir."
>>27850016You know he murdered humans long before the titans even invaded right?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TZ6EcUKPg8
>>27850068>>27850076Oh, well, linking my vote to this post just for the sake of expediency.>I want to be the very best. Like no one ever was, and make my other proud, sir.
> "I want to be the very best. Like no one ever was, and make my mother proud, sir."
>>27850091that was out of necesity and the will to protect, anyone would do that
>>27850068> "I want to be the very best. Like no one ever was, and make my mother proud, sir."
>>27850068Stick with the theme song, gm. It's the only hway!
>>27850121Exactly, that's what we're going to do to the pokémon.
>>27850058Apologies, this is another good one. I would've included it.>>27850076 You'll see. Counting. Seems the votes have it for the very best.
>>27850121Killing people without remorse is a clear sign of a psychopath.
>>27850141i vote for whichever path leads to the most self improvement.gonna let /tg/ decide, both seem fun>>27850149revote to include it? i would have voted for it
>>27850162They were trying to kidknap and sell into slavery a little girl and tryed to kill him. anyone would have done the same.>>27850149I would support a revote and im not this guy>>27850165
>>27850068Why not combine both?
>>27850182>>27850165That seems like it'd take too long. There's not that much difference between them.
>>27850204it is the difference between selfishness and self sacrificing.atleast to the guy asking us
>>27850149Looks like we'll be a very ambitious little girl.Also>>27850193Why not combine both? Anyone up for it?>>27850204Well, one option displays ambition and the other shows a little innocuous hatred. Professionalism versus a personal vendetta against the monsters we fight
>>27850243I wouldn't mind seeing a combo of both choices.
>>27850182It has nothing to do with how evil they were but with the fact he killed them without batting an eye.
>>27850243Voting for revote. heh
>>27850259he deffinatly batted a serious eye, kinda traumatized him
>>27850243>>27850276Not voting for a revote, since I'd rather we not spend too much time on this one thing, just that we combine the first option with the new one the other anon presented since they do not seem to conflict with one another in the ideas they present about our character. However, seeing as how the Prof hasn't responded yet, I'm thinking it's already too late and that the man is already writing the next pot.
>>27850243Professionalism would work toward us getting better parts in the future.
You bring up a salute, one like your mother had taught you,"I was to be the very. Like no one ever was, and to make my mother proud, sir! Oh, and to do anything possible to do anything necessary to keep us safe from monsters, sir!" Your heart flutters within your chest, under the man's harsh stare and deep blue eyes. The man bends over closer to you."Cerulean, right?""Yes, yes sir." You gasp out, feeling a slight blush come to your cheek.""You've got good eyes, I'd think that Lorelei would've wanted better for you. I'm sure she'll still be waiting for you at the Indigo Plateau." His tone is more personal, speaking like an old friend. You give him a nod, and he walks away, a smile creeping across your face at thoughts of standing upon the Indigo Plateau with your mother. Standing alongside the nearly legendary Elite Four. It's the ultimate goal that many dreaming rangers aspire and few can ever hope to achieve.Aqua and Marine cast their gaze upon you and Aqua's mouth turns."Psst, Ceru. Stop saluting, they're watching."You return to reality and see the Gym leaders of this plaza staring at you with their own little smirks at the silly girl with her hand still up.You bring it down to your side,"Thanks" you give back.Azure finishes his round and he stands before the entirety of the cadets, his voice booming upon the yard."I have asked each of you one question, and one question only." He paces, his boots kicking up the dry sand of the lot."Some of you disappoint me with your meek responses. Others, stand to impress. A few, I have high hopes for." He stops, full attention once more."And I hold yet higher expectations for all of you to become full-fledged rangers!"
>>27850355And it would let them trust us more with the more dangerous grafts. Responsibility is given more easily to the mentally healthy.Which I thought we wanted. The grafts, I mean.
>>27850338this guy seems similar to Erwin in attack on titan, so the first impression may be important
>>27850402>Our mother is Lorelei
>>27850402>LoreleiOur mother has a better name than us.Anyway, looks like we've got ambition and a little adorable enthusiasm,
>>27850449>LoreliSorry but who?
>>27850472It's already been stated in the post; she's a member of the Elite Four. You can search it on the pokemon wiki.
>>27850402>Lorelei is our mum.MC confirmed for adorable red haired nerd that will fill out insanely. heh. Thick fat.
>>27850472She's from the original Elite Four, ice type trainer, fucking grand.
>>27850520so maybe we should get some fire for when we have to fight her?
>>27850501Do we even have human hair anymore?
>>27850547i think so, we just have light white fur,do we have pure white hair to?
>>27850541We're already following in her footsteps with water/ice.I don't see much reason to change that course of action.Dewgongs are neat.
>>27850501We may have inherited our hair color from our father.>>27850402What color is our hair anyway? I don't think it was described before. Did it change with the surgery to turn white?Maybe our hair is still red, but will slowly turn white as our hair grows out.
>>27850402>Lorelai is mum>We are SeelPerfect
>>27850582because ice is limited as fuck, might eb meta but stil
>>27850541If we get remoraid or magikarp it won't be necessary
>>27850630>Magicarpyeahno i would prefer not to kill our teammates
>>27850630Let's go Dratini!
>>27850630Mainly gen 1 pokemon.just at a glance i would say fire, psychic, poison, or maybe fighting would be the best.just versatility wise. fire would be quite easy to capture considering we are a water type
>>27850676Good luck finding a dratini. A horsea evolves to a dragon type and his much easier to find.
>>27850711It's not like we can't get a Horsea either. We're limited by types, not the amount of augments.
>>27850676there is only 1 or 2 dragon type in Gen 1. as tempting as it is based on the future gens, dragon type is quite limited in gen 1
>>27850730we cant not evolve if it puts us over two types.so if we were to take fire/water we wouldn't be able to evolve into a dewgong
>>27850767cant evolvefuck i need sleep
>>27850767I'm not sure why you're telling me that.
>>27850767Unless there is somehow a way to become an experiment tri-type pokemon/titan.
>>27850792maybe taking in a ditto or evee>>27850791cause you post implies that augemnets and types are different, we cant take an augment unless it is either part of our two or flying/normal
>>27850826Yeah, but I'm not sure why you had to say it since I thought the implication that we wouldn't evolve our seel augment was clear enough in my post.
Sergeant Azure gestures to be handed something from an attendant standing behind him. A red and White orb, that he presents, held high."Few of you may have seen these in person, hopefully, none of you have." He turns the hand-sized sphere over within his hands,"This is known as a volt orb. It is what we use to power our cities. Normally, they are of no threat, and operate famously for powering the repel grid that keeps us hidden from the monsters beyond our walls, as well as the day to day function of our electronic systems. These are the results of our ingenuity. However, it is not without its faults." Azure gestures again for another, a second one being passed into his hands. He brings the two of them together and electricity instantly arcs between the two," When two run in tandem, or rather, together. They generate extraordinary amounts of power. However!"He brings the two orbs together and they create a dazzling display of power right before the men hurls them into the sky of the dome.A whistle is blown and one of the gym leaders moves, Koga, makes a deft movement and the two orbs detonate midair, in a small explosion. You fall to the ground with the other cadets, the explosion ringing your ears, and causing the world to spin. After some moments, you're back up, and the sergeant continues,"This is why you are only given two when sent outside of the dome, and you are not to let them come into contact except under the most dire of circumstance. One is to be kept within your core-gear to power your repel tech, short range communications, and Index."
>>27850855oh, i just missed it
>>27850860>A note, he first brought the volt orbs near each other, and THEN pressed them together.
>>27850704I'd grab Electric. It synergizes really well with Water and there are a lot of pure Water and pure Electric Pokemon, we'll also still have Ice attacks.
>>27850826Ditto would destroy us
>>27850860>volt orbLost my shit
The man pauses for a moment, and pulls back his sleeve to reveal a small red piece affixed to his arm, no bigger than his hand."This right here is the Ranger's handbook on all that we've gathered of the monster menace outside of our city thus far. It records observations made by rangers, and takes pictures. After syncing directly with the Professor Bureau within Pallet, it will upload to our database along with downloading any new observations made.A word of caution cadets. Any immaturity, or misinformation will be met with harsh consequence. This is an important piece of research, and a lifeline."The man puts the device away as he brings his sleeve back down."You will all report to this lot Tuesday and Thursday for joint training exercises. For those of you not aware today, is in fact, Sunday."A silence passes over the lot for a moment, before he finally breaks into a smile," And with that cadets, have you any further questions? The silence redoubles, the man seems to await a raised hand...>I have a question!>Let it pass.
>>27850860>Entire society powered by monsters.Clearly this can only end well. Hope Team Rocket never decides to take over the Radio Tower. This is cool though, I like it as a final option.
>>27850931there is only three. cause you can only take oin unevloved pokemon and only of a single type so no magnemite and no jolteon. that three is also including zapados which is unlikely as shit.fire has a bunch of different ones, plus dat charizard/blastoise combo.
>>27850982>>I have a question! How is the girl that suffered from rejection earlier this week?
>>27850982Would it be alright to take a tour of the facilities to familiarize ourselves with them?>>27851019She's right there in our group. I think it would be best not to draw attention to the fact that her graft was rejected. If we want, we could go talk to her after the assembly is done. But as a topic of discussion, it's rather inappropriate.
>>27851019she is at the back
>>27850996A note on that, based on his example.>Volt orbs generate excessive amounts of electricity when brought together.>Excessive amount of power causes them to detonate upon the next impact.>>27851019She's in the back of the formation, covered in bandages.
>>27850982ask him when we get ours
>>27851067Do you mean the handbook?
>>27851013Water kills Charizard
>I have a question!Ask when we will be allowed to take a second mutation
>>27851019Well considering she is here with is that seems incredibly insensitive to ask.
>>27851099I assume when we can go out and catch one.
>>27851088the wrist thing
>>27850606Eh that's what friends are for.Plus if we add in a Lapras and maybe a Cloyster, we'll be pretty powerful, weaknesses or no.Like do remember that we're fighting wild pokemon, thus they PROBABLY don't have access to TM or HM moves. As long as we avoid electric or grass pokemon, we should be pretty much set.
>>27851099>>27850982Well, I don't think they'll give us a second augment just yet, but I do think we should ask him how many augments from different pokemon a ranger usually takes.
>>27851091who is to say we will take on that? im sure that they have found a way to get rid of the instakill things.why would we necessarily get the tail? im pretty sure no one else is sprouting tails and shit.
>>27851155One of our friends already has a tail from the squirtle graft she received.
>>27851137but taking ice just makes us like a standard pokemon with standard moves. why not take fire or electricty so we can combine things for electric water or steam or anything alse we can come up with?
>>27851176Ehh, point still stands with getting rid of the instakill button. plus having a fire on you at all times would be impractical as fuck
>>27851203>no showers>no sleeping on a bed>no moving in crowds>everything in yous house has to be fire proofed
>>27851203Tell that to Cinnabar. They think Charmander are rad as fuck. Though acquiring them with Charmeleon and Charizards abound? Pfft, good luck.
>>27851241it will be hard, but not impossible with our water attacks.if we were to incorporate a charmander would we get the whole "if our tailfire goes out we die"?
>>27851186Because that will probably make the grafts pretty unstable. Also minmaxing isn't really necessary, standard pokemon with standard moves can still get you REALLY far.
>>27851329Yeah this. I think quick thinking and roleplaying will matter more than mixmaxing.
>>27851329but it is kinda just not using things to their full potential. plus it doesn't really allow any creative license to be taken with the moves. it is all just standard things
>>27851359i do not see why either of those can not have us using something other than ice
>>27851373Not really. We can still use moves in non-standard ways like combos, use our superior height, use Ice Beam on the ground to make it slippery, shit like that.
You raise your hand, the only cadet to do so, questions broiling over in your mind.Azure nods toward you,"Yes, recruit?""I was wondering, um. When do we get our own Index?""You will receive one, along with your core gear at the end of orientation. It will be up to date on all that you will be encountering three months from now within the Veridian Wood. Your repel tech will come only with deployment, and you will only be issued one volt orb at a time within the dome for safety reasons. Does that answer your question fully and completely, recruit?""Sir, yes sir!"Another cadet raises their hand."Yes recruit?""Sir," Its Bruise, you smile, glad that he's made it," I understand that at the end of orientation, we will be leaving with our gym leaders. As a non-esper member of Saffron, where will I be going?"Azure seems to have an intense look about him for a moment, yet he responds without hesitation," You will be taken by the Pewter Leader, Brock for training. We have considered that it would be the best position for you given your abilities. Does that answer your question fully and clearly, recruit?"You hear Bruise sucking his breath in, and his response paused,"Sir. Yes sir." He strains through his teeth.Pewter, as you recall, is the most impoverished of all the quarters. High population, and a sort of quarry and work force for the Veridian farms and Celadon gardens along with their own procurement of stone as a resource. They are hardly respected. This may even be from Saffron Leader's own suggestion.>Object.>Stay your peace.>Ask another question.
>>27851404but it is still limiting, and i was talking about coming of with new moves.
The best possible type to go for would be Water/Dragon. However, since we might not find one, electric, grass, ground, psychic, and steel are probably our best options.
>>27851428>>Stay your peace.
>>27851428>Stay your peace. We shouldn't complain, we're rangers now. Not spoiled brats.
>>27851428>>Stay your peace.gotta stay>>27851447cant get steel, grass has none that aren't coupled with poison, ground is almost the same as grass but with rock, psychic is valid
>>27851428>>Stay your peace.Nothing we can do here.
Potential ice/water combos.Slush to chill and slow enemies.Haze to lower visibility via fog.Water spray, and then frozen beam to lock a wet enemy into place regardless of the fire they had.Icy mirrors to confuse enemies.Create icicle shurikens.Icicle canons.powder Snow. Some attacks, some combos, gotta be creative. Your mother's signature- Sheer Cold
>>27851447Those are all pretty rare, and QM already said that bad type combinations can make multiple grafts unlikely.I really don't see the need to minmax because I doubt this quest will be nearly as math-based as the games.I mean from there it's going to actually trying to raise our EVs or whatever.
>>27851499For that last move, I vote ice/water.Beside, Mommy can show us her special ice/water techniques.
>>27851499I was wondering, you're keeping the sizes of the pokemon the same as they are in the games right?
>>27851499alright, ill stay my peacestill no voting for ice though.
>>27851507This is tactical. Don't need to be a one-man army. Should always have a team backing you.>>27851529In the games is kind of funny because some actually vary in size. No, they're not exactly the same. Some are biggers, yet to be seen. Others are smaller, such as Volt Orb.
>>27851526>implying we will see our mother until we fight herdo you even pokemon?
i would say the best options areicefireelectricpoison (dangerous)psychic
>>27851562My point exactly. We don't have to be the best at everything.
>>27851562Remember that Professor?
>>27851562>>27851602yes but it is always good be not be to focused on one thing. be a little versatile

>>27851613Then get a Rattata for some strong normal attacks, and Hyper Fang our problems away.Or maybe a Farfetch'd, and just hit shit with a leek.
I say we get a flying type pokemon just for the wings. preferbly fearow or pidgey
>>27851642>Imply gender relevance.>>27851428"Sir, would it not be better to have our frail and vulnerable ESPer from Saffron protected by fighting types, Sir!?"Defiance against smug bastard is go, maybe?

>>27851642You now guys have perfectly functional anuses and mouths, right?
>>27851736>>27851659my bad, im just argueing agianst becoming the standard water/ice type is probably gonna be every other ranger in cerulean
>>27851743there ar none in Gen 1. and zubat is flying/poison
>>27851734Psychic is Super Effective against Fighting, so it would be the opposite of helpful.Especially because Kanto doesn't have Dark pokemon.Side note: Are Fairy pokemon considered a thing for the purposes of this quest?
>>27851795if they are then there is only like 2.yes but psychich is a great way to immobilize a pokemon without harming it
>>27851795We have all the dark and steel pokemon that were retroactively put in gen 1.So, there is probably umbreon.
>>27851774I'd wager they're not as common as you think, given that there's only Seel, Lapras, and Shellder. And Lapras are very rare, evidently Seels are as well, and I'm not sure how common Water Stones are.
>>27851793We can get evolutions of Gen 1 pokes, though I still think it's a bad idea.
>>27851774This. We're going to be put in teams with a lot of other water rangers (most likely), so it'd be good to pick up something for water's weaknesses. My vote is for either Water/Grass via Tangela, or Water/Ground via Cubone.
>>27851833i dont remember him saying that but i do remember him saying it was just the origional 151

>>27851428stay your peace
>>27851867I asked the question earlier.>>27849816>Question Professor, do we have access to pokemon in the evolutionary lines of pokemons from Kanto outside the original 151?Yes.And OC

You stay your peace, not raising you voice for Bruise. It makes you feel kind of bad that you're not saying anything for him, yet you know that it's the rule. You can't really object to such orders, so you stay there."Any other questions?"A boy snickers near the back, and Azure's glare focuses on the perpetrator."Something funny that you'd like to share with everyone, Recruit?" His voice stern and ruthless, the laughing ceases instantly."No sir, nothing very funny sir."Azure's gaze lingers a moment upon the boy,"I'm sure you all know which leaders to fall in under."Taking a step back, he throws up a salute," Dismissed!"Everyone salutes in return,"Yes Sergeant!"Everyone begins to relax and look about for their leaders whom stand at the edges of the lot in waiting...>Be prompt, and fall in with your friends near Leader Misty.>Take a moment to check on the Celadon girl from before.>Speak with Bruise.>Check up on Grumpy.> (Other)
>>27851908oh, i misunderstood what you were saying.there arent to many of those
>>27851893Electric would be a nice combo. Fire requires we get something without an open flame so we can still swim underwater. The main reason I recommend water ground with Cubone is so we can also pick up lightning rod. Draw electric moves away from allies weak to it, while also having beastly boomerang attacks
>>27851852That's not on us.We don't have to be the special snowflake with the unique power combination. With the power of ice, we're a Dragonslayer.C'mon anon, be cool
>>27851938>>Be prompt, and fall in with your friends near Leader Misty.gotta make a good impression

>>27851970Do you know what killed the dragons?THE ICE AGE!

>>27851970who says that makes us super special snowflake? it is a perfectly reasonable thing to do. special snowflake would be three or some shit like that>>27851967he hasn't confirmed if we have to get an open flame though
>>27851921Why do you think that?I'd wager the average ranger gets a Tentacool, so they're limited to water/poison.
>>27851970Alright, you got me. That was anice pun.>>27851938Be Prompt
>>27851938>>Be prompt, and fall in with your friends near Leader Misty.lets get in good with our soon to be teacher
>>27852012Because there has never been a Water/Fire pokemon, and there's only like one Water/Electric.We don't have to be a one man army, it's okay to have weaknesses because we have allies to cover them.
>>27851938>Be prompt, and fall in with your friends near Leader Misty.First Impressions are important.on a side note, Is anyone worried about Bruise going to Brock?
>>27852017nah, that would only be if they were mass producing ranger like fucking crazy. and i dont think there is more than 20-30 kids per generation.
So, I wonder if Professor Ash destroyed Misty's car in this continuity.
>>27851938>Be prompt, and fall in with your friends near Leader Misty.
>>27852039why do we have to be a standard pokemon? and it doesn't make us a one man army. it leaves us open as fuck to grass or lighting. taking multiple proficencies is a smart thing,
>>27852039I'm sure that taking two different (or opposing) types is a fairly common thing among higher class rangers
>>27852077There's only three electric pokemon to worry about really.Pikachu, Voltorb, and Magnemite. There's also Jolteon, but I really doubt they're available in the wild.Volt Orb is already under human control, and I doubt Magnemite is really that different. So that leaves Pikachu as the only real electric pokemon we're likely to encounter, and that thing is rare as fuck. We're not gonna be fighting any trainers.
>>27852102>Fairly common among higher class rangers.>Elite Four Lorelei is Ice/waterIt's not about what you've got, it's how you use it.Counting

>>27851938Say hi to the Celadon girl, and stop kvetching about which type of pokemon to have sewn onto us.
>>27852140putting one example out there won't fool me. using normal human logic instead of videogame/anime logic, people are bound to take different than natural proficencies to cover weaknesses
>>27852145Ice also only resists Ice. Unless we're going for glass cannon ranged mage style support, we should pick a more defensive typing, like water/ground.
>>27852145i was talking about if we took fire or electric
>>27852204but ground only has 1 pure ground pokemon
>>27852238>>278522043 my bad
>>27852204We have a team. It's okay to be good at certain things, but not good with others.Maybe a defensive water/ground type would be better suited for Marine, who's already part turtle so she knows a thing or two about defense.
>>27852258>>27852248>>27852238sandshrew, diglett, cubone
>>27852248There's two. Sandshrew and Cubone. And Cubone can have lightning rod.Y'know. The ability that's great in a battle if you have allies weak to electric.
>>27852261>implying we aren't going to get a squirtle as well, if only for the wonderful back cannons that come with blastoise
>>27852272And why do we have to be the one to have that ability? Why make us the lynchpin?
With a backwards glance to the Celadon girl as she falls in with three other "Flowers," and Bruise falling in with one other "Rock," you fall in just as quickly beside Aqua and Marine, the two of them closing in on you, in a buddy-buddy manner."Hey, so hey, what did Sergeant say to you earlier? He didn't lean in like that with anyone else. Huh, huh, so what'd he say?"You try to smile of Marine's insistence. Though you feel that they can tell that you're keeping something from them. Your mom is Lorelei, that's not something that anyone besides seasoned rangers know of. Something she made sure of to keep people from treating you any differently based upon your background. She'd always said to smile, keep your head held high, and answer insult with charm. But to keep this from your friends...>Tell them.>Change the subject, something about Bruise?>Say nothing, and fall in faster.>(Other)
>>27852295>>27852272and we wont get to choose, we may get rock head to.
>Haven't even seen an actual monster yet.>Still talking about what to graft next.Love it anons, though your first experience is going to be Veridian wood within the dome, and you're still limited to Water gun and Horn attack for now.
>>27852296>>Say nothing, and fall in faster.avoidance is best
Professor can we met Red?
>>27852272>cubonedo you really want a fucking mask of bone on us at all times?
>>27852296>>Say nothing, and fall in faster.
>>27852296>Change the subject, something about Bruise?
>>27852322Fighting bugs eh?Also Pikachu. Why would we be sent to one of the few places with Electric pokemon with an all-water team?
Oh god, imagine us getting a charmander and all the fire types being jealous as fuck the we (a water) got their favorite pokemon. it would be glorious
>>27852296>"He just told me he could see I was more talented than you two, gwahahaha kekeke"
>>27852391why would it be an all water team? we are going to be teamed up with kkids from other gyms.that is literaly the stupidest thing that the adults could EVER do.
>>27852322Can we just like... punt things? Most pokemon seem to be the right size for punting. Also how does Horn attack work? Do we actually fire the horn at people, or ram it into them?Because if it's the latter, I think we might need to fight while lying on the ground.Or just lift the pokemon up and headbutt it.
>>27852349It's not like we have a bunch of options that are going to make us prettier. I wouldn't be against having 24/7 armored headgear in this line of work.
>>27852391>Fighting bugs eh?Don't assume that.>>27852423Choose your flavor, I imagined an all forward head charge riding on the strength of your horn.Just don't but heads with a nidoking.
>>27852465> I imagined an all forward head charge riding on the strength of your horn.I meant that if most pokemon are just like a foot tall, that seems difficult to manage.
>>27852481just takes a little aim.
>>27852439well i would say that most pokemon aren't really ugly. and it would be kinda out of character to want your face to be encased in bone for the rest of your life. but we are doint some serious meta here anyway.White skin + Red Skin = Awesome
>>27852296Says the Sarge knew mom, and leave it at that. Smoothly transition to >>27852415's playful boast.
>>27852528You're right. It might be a good idea decide what we want to be doing during a fight before we pick second types.
>>27852606umm, fighting? not really much else to do as we aren't suited to heal others, just take the fire/ice attacks if we can. most of that depends on our team
Without a word you fall in faster, giving the two of them a slight cold shoulder, as they're left behind a bit."What's with her?" You hear from Aqua. Your two friends a bit perplexed. It's alright though, so long as they know you for Cerulean, and not your mom's child. It's okay like that. You stand before Misty as the first in line. The woman looks down upon you, flare-like red hair bobbed to either side of her head, a stark contrast of red and white upon her face, a twin set of sharp fin-like wings upon her back, and a halter-top swimsuit the only thing she has in way of uniform along with her ranger's beret. Her feet are devoid of normal boots, instead thick sandals that cover her toes and lace up along the back to allow fins at her feet to poke out as well, a glorious white with red and black splotches.Upon her shoulders she bears red gems similar to Aqua's, though smaller, and at her fists, she bears strong and sharp horns that jut out from her palm and wrist.A gentle, feminine smile falls upon her face, and it's then that you notice something strange. Unlike most senior rangers, she bears no scars. "Well then, you three are this years newest recruits to have passed surgery. Smaller yield than usual sure, though it only means that I'll focus more on whipping the three of you into shape. From here, we'll pick up your water proofed core gear, and return to Cerulean quarter for water-based training and basic attack and coordination regiment.. err routine. Well, you'll see." She puts hand to her hair and nods down a bit," Oh jeeze, I'm really not good at this."She gestures for the three of you to follow, come on then!___________________________________________________
>>27852631I was referring more to ranged/melee, fast/defensive, debuffing/status. That sort of stuff. Then we can pick a type that fits with what we want to focus on.
>>27852670Hm, so Seaking, Tentacool/Tentacruel?
>>27852704we can't really decide that until we get more experience. we haven't even been in a single battle yet
>>27852735LIke the red and white, the fin-wings, and the fins at her feet seem like Seaking. Also the horns as well, though I guess that means she got two? Didn't know you could just graft the horn anywhere. And the red gems could be Staryu/mie, but I'm not sure.
>>27852735I was assuming seaking + seadra + staryu. As a side note, Staryu seems to gives out awesome regeneration powers.
>>27852670looks like seaking with either staryu or tentacruel. probably the latter.
>>27852800>>27852794could be golduck to
Lets just ask her what her types are
>>27852835Oh right. That's a possibility, grants psychic attacks without being psychic type.Though is it worth the literal headache?
>>27852908we should totally get it, it would piss off that asshole kid like no other
In the acquisition's office near the training grounds, the three of you suit up with your sizes. The Core gear that the sergeant had spoken of appears to be a base system harnessed to your body, and worn underneath your clothes, yet over your small-clothes. A Volt Orb fits in right at the chest area, powering the whole thing.Misty explains that the core system is designed in mind to adapt to most gear that Rangers may carry, from the Index, to Short Com, to swimming turbines, auxiliary electrics for electric types, and so on and so forth. She demonstrates via target, a harpoon grappling attachment situated at the waist."This is called 3 Point Auxiliary Gear." It's used for rapid movement around large trees, cliff faces, and even has some underwater use. It has a secondary propulsion system that reacts to your movement and intent. It's useful on most exploratory missions, however it tends to drain the Volt orb's power something fierce. Which, I wish we reminded the sergeant at orientation, means that you have to let it recharge, or find a way to recharge it. You never want to put them together either. I hope you paid attention to the demo. The power they generate is too much for the Core System. It can overload it, and cause an explosion. We've lost some good rangers that way."She ends a bit mournfully, however she perks right up, "Well then, you'll just be taking the Core Gear, and your indexes today. you'll be practicing with 3P Aux gear during joint exercises.""Any other questions?">"Nope!">"Yes...">Say nothing.
>>27853003Signifies a break. I'm still goin. Want to get some Ranger gear and Gym training down.
>>27852999fucking seriously? manuver gear?
>>27852865Seconded. I feel like this would be a natural question for us to ask. We're new, we should be getting a feel for who has what, and what works. We don't want to waste all our time on minmaxing and miss out on learning something cool. Question for Prof: Is it possible for someone to have Monster grafts that aren't noticeable? I don't want us to run into someone who is a fucking rapetrain of grafts and has no signs of it.>>27852999Let's ask her about what grafts she has. Does she have any recommendations or tips for using the core gear?
>>27853049Well, it is attack on Pokemon hunter quest. Good news is its not our only method of attack.
>>27853033ask her what her types are.>>27853068there probably is, not everything is right out in the open
>>27853068>Question for Prof: Is it possible for someone to have Monster grafts that aren't noticeable? I don't want us to run into someone who is a fucking rapetrain of grafts and has no signs of it.Uh, this sounds like a very good question to ask in character too
>>27853078Yeah but i get the feeling that he is just gonna start killing people off left and right now
>>27852999"I have a question!"
>>27853121 It could be any post now Anon. Any post you should be expecting the glass to break and the literal world to fall down upon Kanto City.I have no idea what you're talking about.
>>27853212Oh gosh i called it, the dome is gonna fall and marine is gonna die right in front of us. we're all gonna die.the repel tech is all gonna fail, i knew that having unlimited repel made things too easy
>>27853121...hey anons. If we combined pokemon, do you think we could make ourselves into Faefnir? Would that be like... Charmeleon and Durant or something? Hm..>>27853212And then I remember how Attack on Titan began.
>>27853212But pokemon aren't nearly as durable as Titans are.The only thing capable of doing such a thing would be a Legendary, I'd wager.
>>27853355you try taking down a rampaging gyarados
>>27853355 Remember what Ash saw at the start of the pokémon-anime (of you watched any of it)

>>27853369A handful of Electric types?Or just chuck Volt Orbs at the thing.
>>27853400>>27853386OH FUCK IT'S A HO-OH
you know how big tentacruels are? and you remember how he said that a horsea broke in a a bunch of people got hurt?this is gonna be bad
>>27853355...based on what evidence? We have seen exactly 0 monsters so far, and humanity is on the ropes. I wanna see a 60 foot tall Cloyster hit the city like fucking Sapphire Weapon out of FF7. Or a Nidoking the size of a kaiju. (and then it turns out the form of our destroyer is a 70-foot Clefairy whose song causes insanity and suicide long before you see it)
>>27853455>not realizing the rain of death and destruction that that thing could bring down
>>27853481he said that most will keep their origional size. which is still fucking giant for some. and being small doesn't make it easy to destroy.and i really dont think that hitting a golem with pressurized water is really going to do very much
>>27853481Technically we've seen Voltorbs.And that's why I asked about sizes.
imagine how bad a vileplume would fuck up regular humans. like mass chemical warfare
>>27853521Yeah Onix and Gyarados are fucking gigantic.
>>27853521It has a 4x weakness. If elemental strengths and weaknesses don't apply then... fuck, what is even the point of using them?
>>27853068>Let's ask her about what grafts she has. Does she have any recommendations or tips for using the core gear? You ask your question, and Misty smiles at you, curling her white and red lips, "My types? Ah, well.. I'm actually pure Water with a couple of Esper-like abilities. I've evolved grafts of the Horsea, Goldeen, and Staryu monsters, with two of the three evolved. They've served me well as an active ranger as well as a leader. As for tips involving the core gear..." Misty ponders that point for a moment before nodding."You'll want to keep it on low power most of the time, especially for the repel tech. Like our own barrier, it only works as well as the energy that feeds it. Our electric grid requires us to shut down domestic, err.. Home electricity to divert full power to the grid. Just the same, the more features you run, the more likely it is to become drained. So I'd say you should only keep a few on at once."Marine raises her hand next to you, Aqua just kind of quietly regards the Leader."So, um. When do we learn how to swim, and fight, and what does the water version of that 3P auxil. um.. auxili, aux gear look like?"Misty heads over to the requisitions counter," 3P Auxiliary Gear- Aquatic mode. Leader's provisions."The clerk gives her a nod,"Please sign her, Leader Misty, and I'll have your equipment out momentarily. After a short time, Misty presents a sleek verson of the very same gear, fitted with properly hydrodynamic harpens with barbed tips and what appears to be a sort of white flaxen wire."The wire comes from the string of caterpie, it's hard to break when woven, and waterproof. It can be cut, though you'll not find many things that cut in the waves."She lays it out upon a table before the three of you, Aqua stares at it intently," How does it propel underwater?
>>27853599it is just weather we go with realisticness or pokemon logic
"Well," Misty begins," Its system is meant for engaging large tidal creatures that move too quickly for most. Best to latch on, and assault it directly without fear of being thrown. I'd wager that it's actually just as effective, if not more than the land-based version. Though unless a mission involves the sea directly, you're more likely to see use of the land-based one, as the sea base will use more power when attempting aerial movement, as opposed to pushing water."Misty pauses again, squinting her eyes,"Oh, I hope you all got all that. Should I repeat it again?"She may have trouble speaking to trainees...>Yes>No>Don't be silly, another question?>Proceed to Gym.>>27853571You'll see danger classes associated with beasties in the Index when you turn it on.
>>27853641>>Proceed to Gym.lets get this show on the road
>>27853641>Proceed to Gym.Let the dome drop
>>27853641>Proceed to GymWe're good.
>>27853641Can people have grafts that aren't apparent? Like they would look just like normal people, but be full of grafts on the inside?>Ask this, then Proceed to Gym.
>>27853698it is kinda a given that you can. as when the leaders were described nothing was really all that evident, besides a few horns here and there.glands and shit like that are alwasy gonna be hidden. like we couldn't tell that the kid was a fighting type or the other kid was an esper
>>27853698We don't really have any reason to assume we'll be facing people with grafts as enemies.
>>27853641We definitely need to sink points into Horn Attack to upgrade it to Horn Drill. 3PAG is begging for Giga Drill Breaker shenanigans.
>>27853641We shall proceed to the gym.
>>27853841it seems like that is really kinda the opposite of what this quest is gonna be all about. maybe in a more lighthearted quest but the attack on titan element is really gonna make this dark as hell
>>27853759We couldn't tell what they were, but we could tell they were grafted. When I'm talking about "not apparent," I mean looking utterly normal. >>27853808I want us to be prepared. We're almost certainly going to be fighting other grafted during training, and I'll put money on us fighting other rangers at some point. Hell, maybe there's some equivalent to Team Rocket or poachers or something. Maybe there's blackmarket grafts that filter out among the criminal element. You still so sure we're not going to face other grafted?
>>27853902Did you WATCH that show? All they do is frigging spin attacks. We're ten year old kids with superpowers besides, grimdark or no grimdark. Hijinks will ensue.
>>27853940the esper kid was completely normal
>>27853940Well we might, but we have no reason to even suspect that in-character.
>>27853984no he wasn't, anyone who knows what an abra is could recognize him.
>>27853970yeah and they all nearly died for it. plus the spin attack were the only reasonable way to cut out that stupidly placed part of a titan.that was more the anime aspect of it rather than the actual setting. if we tried to use our horn on most thing they would probably eat us. like swallow us whole. or poison us. or do any of the other thing that colse combat ensures
>>27854022they are born with their powers
>>27853984>You poke his cheek carefully with on of your own alabaster fingers, feeling a slight fur that gives him a slightly orange or yellow tint.>The kid sits up, staring forward upon his bed, eyes almost like almonds.>>27854016True, but it is in character for us to ask about appearances. Asking about team rocket or whatever out of the blue would be cheating, but this makes sense for us.
>>27854060that is separate from his grafts. There are natural psychics, but his pokemon grafts were obvious.
>>27854034Most things aren't big enough to eat us. Certainly not in one bite.Like even though this is partially Attack on Titan based, I don't see that as reason to assume that all or even most pokemon share the obscene regenerative abilities of a Titan, or their massive size, or the ability to just completely ignore type vulnerabilities.
>>27854022>Aqua kind of smiles, "Well, you did give him what he deserved. Grumpy. Good name for him. He's probably lonely though. Not many espers come in here. At least, that's what the nurse said. I didn't think that they needed monster parts to fight though. ">You tilt your head to the side, eyes full of curiosity," Oh? Oh!" You remember now," Right, right. Their people are born with powers, right? Uhhh, they're so lucky.."
>>27853698>Can people have grafts that aren't apparent? Like they would look just like normal people, but be full of grafts on the inside?"Ah well, yes. Actually, Giovanni of Veridian is like that. Only his Surgeons and resident Professor of the Research Institue are aware of his implants. It's said that aside from being the leader of the prestigious rocket team, he's said to already be upon the Indigo Plateau, right along with Koga, though I can't imagine that you'd all really be interested in that. After all, it's hard to fight like that, and harder for doctors to identify what you've got going on. Oh, well. they've got their charts. Heh.."Aqua seems to be kind of distant. You don't call him on it, but you think that he may be a little disappointed with Misty. You perk up,"Right, leader, thank you for answering that. Umm. Can we go ahead to the gym?"Misty seems to snap out of a lul, and begins nodding, "Ah, yes. Yes! Let's go."After dropping the 3PAG-Aquatic off at the requisition office, the three of you leave for the gym._________________________________Walking through the city takes some time, passing through the additional barriers that divides the Pallet center from the other quarters, not so much.Since your time in the requisition office, and walking through the extensive roads to return to your home quarter, the sky has become quite an overcast as it builds into the afternoon."Looks like a storm's coming." Remarks Aqua."Marine kind of frowns at the sight," It's kind of too bad that we're stuck in here, huh? I bet the water falling from the sky must feel great.Aqua sighs at her enthusiasm," Storms are bad Marine, remember? Like what Leader Misty and Sergeant Azure, had said, if the grid overloads, our volt orbs will explode. That's not good!"
"Calm down you two, the leader slows a touch to walk alongside the three of you, she bends down a touch," We have safeguards in place to ground out the charge of lightning. In the next few weeks, you train dilligintly under Misty within the Cerulean gym. You meet other cadets that have been training for more than a few months, a year actually, brushing up on their skills and movesets. Sparring with them underwater, you find yourself terribly lacking in regards to them.Twins that bear biology of goldeen, one with a horn upon their head, the other upon their right fist makes short work of you with their aquatic speed, though you don't ever quite get up, and begin to figure out the basics of Aquatic combat. Misty's instruction also proves quite useful, touching on the points that you mus bear in mind of your situational awareness and being wary of open waters."With your back to at least two barriers, you limit their range of attack. In water, attacks can come from above, below, and from any side. You've only got one pair of eyes. Use them, and feel for disturbances for the rest."You take the advice to heart, though you're rather disirited after a few sparring matches with Marine, whome slkips through the water in her own way, clobbering you with her shell armor whenever she can and even at one point launching you out of the water when her reservations have vanished. She cheers for her victory and you begin to steep somewhat at your own defeat. (How am I going to reach the Indigo Plateau at this rate?) you ponder. Yet you get back up regardless and congratulate your friend for the match.Amphibious training goes much more smoothly as Misty instructs you on diving into the blue."Be wary when you enter murky, brackish, or muddy waters. You don't have echolocation, so your sight is limited. Always be prepared to lash at the first unknown that you feel in the haze. The first strike can make smaller things back off, and bigger things to check their behavior."

The first you meet on a dive is fellow with slightly pink skin sitting at the very bottom, seemingly unphased by your entry, you strike at him as you've been instructed, only for him to seemingly... not notice? You drift about a few seconds and you see the guy suddenly make eye contact with you, his eyes filling with light and you, along with gallons of water getting displaced and flung from the pool.As you shake off the overall trauma, and get helped up by Aqua, a pink forehead breaches from the waters, bearing a similarly pink tail with a white tip. His eyes are glazed over for a moment before he really gets a "look" at you."Oh, hey, freshman. That kind of hurt, sorry I didn't notice you there... It's a good thing though, I realized after I threw you out that I was running out of air." He speaks with an almost dumpy, slow manner to his words. The guy bows before you," My name is Bryan, I'm a Cerulean Ranger, though I sometimes train in Saffron. They really like laughing there." Seemingly losing his train of thought, he begins to wander off, as Misty can't help but to suppress a chuckle,"Sorry Cerulean, I figured this'd be a good way to introduce you two after the goldeen twins Risa and Misa. That's Bryan, he probably wouldn't have noticed you otherwise, he's a bit slow to start but his potential, like yours is real. Try to be friends, okay?"You fall back into the wet Lakeside. Friends, right. Weeks in, and you're still getting toppled. >>27856284>> Stick to training, and just focus on that. You need to get better.Round 2
>>27856284> Stick to training, and just focus on that. You need to get better
>>27856284> Try to mend things with Aqua and Marine.
>>27856284>> Stick to training, and just focus on that. You need to get better. There will be time enough for character development when we don't suck
>>27856426In that case, fuck friendship, acquire power.
>>27856284>> Stick to training, and just focus on that. You need to get better.Let's not drag down the group
>>27856426 They're just going to die, so who cares?
>>27856489Or we could die.We could always die.
>>27856426>>27856465INDEED. CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF, FRIENDSHIP IS NOT MAGIC.CONTINUE TRAINING, GET FROSTY
To update title and tags on the archive, we only rearchive the thread right?
>>27856510Nope, that just updates the images and posts in the archive, if you want to change tags send a message to LL.
Starting new thread...you have 1 skill point to spend for acquiring skill and power. Can be used to unlock a rank 0 skillOr upgrading a rank 1.2 skill points are required for 2>3, and 3 for 3>4.
>>27856520Can we get an ice beam?
>>27856508Maybe if we had a pokemon graft that evolves based on affection, friendship would be important. But otherwise? Fuck that shit.Plus if we become strong, all of a sudden they'll be rushing to be friends with us again.
>>27856489Honestly, I almost changed my vote to Staying focused, but we're a 10 year old girl, and these are our friends. When they die, we can go all hardcore trainer.>>27856518I'd really, really appreciate it if someone could do that for me. I fucked up the tags, and I don't know how to fix it. Or show me how to do it, and I'll do it.
>>27856520Upgrade amphibious combat.
>>2785628I think only ice type can, we can get other ice moves though
>>27856426Friendship is important!'Course, we could patch things up with them if we said we were a bit traumatized by what happened to that girl whose operation failed. so even if we neglect them a little now, the chance to fix things up would be a bit better.
>>27856566We will be Ice type soon eventually.
>>27856574This is attack on titan, they will all be dead in a month And I would rather be able to protect our friends and have them mad at us, then for then to like us and die
>>27856593No, we shall be fire/water or water/electric
>>27856574Eh, things are rough because we're sucking.Solve that problem and mending things might be easier.
Oddish girl only got the plant part of her transplant, right?Could we do a transplant of, say, a Ghastly and only use the ghost part and not the poison?
>>27856642Cmon fa/tg/uys - do you play make pretend to WIN or to be involved in a story?
Is the pastebin not getting updated for the icy wind1 and water gun2?
>>27856674I'm just saying that they're being jerks to us because we're struggling with training.Forcing ourselves to improve to force them to acknowledge us is a reasonable response, especially if we're not liking ourselves much either.
>>27856710It's actually due to not speaking to them earlier with dismissal, and looking at the index instead of messing with Aqua.
>>27856674You should already know the answer to that. WIN
>>27856731We can make it up to them later. Just say how we were overwhelmed or some shit like that
>>27856731Huh.Lesson learned.Still, it's possible for us to -think- that, even if it isn't the case.
>>27856731I KNEW IT. SCREW THE TRAINING, LET'S ACQUIRE FRIENDSHIP
>>27856731We're ten, we don't know that.
>>27856765But yeah, friendship is definitely sounding more appealing.
>>27856770Yeah let's not die, And manipulating your own characters emotions never turns out well
>>27856765If there's any time to be nice to our friends, it's when we're a 10 year old girl!Besides, we were birthed basically in a lab with pokegenes spliced into us...I'm not sure we're exactly in the ethical business. All about dat friendship - that's how pokemon, digimon, and yugioh works. Gotta level up dem feels with our chums
>>27856785Still voting training, what good is friendship when you're dead. Eren learned that
>>27856800I'm pretty sure we had a normal ten years of childhood.Or at least as normal as it gets in this world.
>>27856800But this is attack on titan, he WILL kill people when we fuck up
>>27856284>Try to mend things with Aqua and Marine.>Be civil with Bryan, he didn't seem like a bad guy.strong bonds lead to strong teams so I'm voting for this.
>>27856828That includes us as well, you know.Making bonds is probably important.
>>27856770>>27856785>>27856800Please don't listen to these people. In shadow quest they a>>27856862re referee to as the knob gobblers
>>27856853True, but they probably won't be on our team.Best to keep a balanced party.
>>27856828Then it's better for the story that when they die, it matters. It's kind of self-evident that our character is gonna be a badass eventually (or die trying), so let's stop and smell the roses so that when the world turns to shit we can remember happier times when our biggest worries are whether or not the cute machop boy liked us, or whether or not people knew who our mom was. If the story is of innocence lost, we need more innocence!CMON fa/tg/uys!
>>27856828yeah and it's also pokemon and some pokemon evolve from happiness. Also having friends means people are more likely to give a shit if your in danger.
>>27856862Do explain? Our friends aren't going to. Abandon us cause we didn't talk to them for a while. They can however die if we fuck upLet's use real world logic her
>>27856892Troll please leave >>27856894No one is going to let us die cause we didn't talk to them for a bit. And you make it seem like we will never be able to make it up to them. We probably won't even be on their team very often. And we won't do any dangerous missions for awhile
>>27856977if we aren't going on any dangerous missions soon what is stopping us from spending time with friends. If you want we can even train with them and make it a group training montage where we learn how to co-operate.
I can understand the complaints on the qtg. These preconceptions people are bringing in is harmful for the story. It's good that we have a generally level headed group, though.
