New thread because the previous one is unsalvageable. Seriously, you guys. Tone it down.
"No, they're my... -associates- from work," you say coldly. "The one with silver hair is Nicolette, the one with the glasses is Sylie, and..." you wave at Melanie to come on over, "...this is Melanie.""...sorry for invading your privacy, man..." Nicolette replies, looking -very- guilty. "Sylvie decided to rush in when your friend here hugged you, and I was kind of curious myself. It was still kind of a really shitty thing to do though, so I apologize.""Y... yeah, sorry..." Sylvie says, looking like she's about to cry.Seeing the current unpleasant atmosphere, you take a long sigh."Ummm, nice to meet you all!" Citrine chirps. "I'm Citrine, and me and Reinhold here go waaay back. This guy was like a little brother to me... but then he ran off and joined the army, the jerk," she taps your arm playfully. "The boss was SO pissed off after you left, he used to get shitfaced every night and go on about how he was totally going to leave the place to you when he finally croaked...">how do you respond?
>>27636597>what>still glad I left
>>27636597>so how have you been doing
>>27636597"Well, I don't know if owning a brothel would have gotten me as far as the army did, but it's a nice sentiment."
>>27636628Yeah, that seems about right.
Rolled 1>>27636597*Eyes widen*What? That's bullshit
>>27636597Yeah, still glad I left.
>>27636597"What a shame. I quite like making my own way in the world, and I'm glad to see you doing the same! What have you been up to since?"
>>27636597"My. How generous. Well, I suppose I'll have to fend for myself."
>>27636597"Well there's a disturbing thought. What happened to you since then?"
>>27636597>Wat... So how have you been doing, Citrine?
>>27636597"What? No way, that old bastard? Kinda find that hard to believe."
>>27636597"Wow, he really thought that much of me. It was hard to tell sometimes. Ah, well, lets not make this too bitter of a reunion! You look as if life is treating you well, how are you these days?"
>>27636597>"Makes me feel a little bad for leaving, although I'd do it again. So how did you end up here?"
>>27636597"Oh wow. Never suspected she had that in her. Still, I prefer this line of work."To the girls: "Happy now? Ah well, I suppose you have right to know."What's in the open can't bite us in the ass at most inopportune of times.
>>27636597he.... what?i mean we really didn't got along that well...
>>27636597"Ha so Syphilis finally did rot what was left of his brain."
>>27636586"Well, I'm sure he'll manage."
>>27636597"I have no regrets leaving that place and I sincerely hope his drinking kills his liver. He can find someone else, I like my current job and have no intention of going back there. How'd you get all the way out here anyways?"
Let's scram before she decides to catch up for old time's sake.
So I know we're supposed to be a bit more serious in this thread but I colored my picture...
>>27636586used to like these threads when you were starting out, most of it has turned into autism and stupidity unfortunately. i like what you're trying to do, but damn it is not worth reading through all this shit and having some sperg response be the one chosen (not that this one was, but it has happened multiple times in the past). keep on writing man, but fuck me if this quest is starting to let me down.
>>27636805you want to leave... right after she said Rein's foster father is dead...ok then. that gave me some insight about you.
>>27636854Just Ctrl+F his trip.
OP, was Reinhold molested by Spinelle as a kid? Funny as that may be OOC to some, that shit is extremely traumatizing for a kid. Also, it sounds like we planned to go to the army, but kept it a secret and left on short notice?
>>27636863Where in that paragraph does it imply he died?
>>27636883archivesyes, we liked it
>>27636889>he finally croaked
>>27636883I for one would settle for a marshmallow hell.
>>27636863He's not dead, he just had plans for Reinhold for when he would be.
>>27636883Last thread confirms this
At this point we should just be friendly to her since we already walked up to her and it'd be dickish not to.
>>27636863>>27636906Your reading comprehension needs work. She didn't say the guy was dead but that WHEN he died he wanted to leave the brothel to Rein.
>>27636883We did go to the army. Probably when we were 14 or 13, depending on our growth. Spent a few years there, then won the tourney.
>>27636906>when he finally croakedFTFY. lrn2rd
>>276368631) she never said he died2) as warm as our memories of him are. About as warm as a trickle of blood from a beating. Why are my captchas suddenly all numbers. And what a waste of pictures, A single two...
>>27636918What? Fuck this.
>>27636863What is with you? You start shit with everyone you don't agree with.
>>27636586"Seems like he did care a bit. I guess maybe I ought to visit some time, but I can't say I really want to."
"...wait, what?" you stare at Citrine as if she's just lost her mind."Yeah, that was my reaction," Citrine replies, shrugging. "But he -was- really depressed after you left, so I guess he did care about you at least a little bit.""I kind of find that hard to believe," you reply, rolling your eyes."Eh, I totally get how you feel. It's still great to see that you're doing this well, though. You could barely lift that thing when you got it," she points to your sword, "but here you are, winning national tourneys and shit!""Heh, it is kind of hard to believe," you reply."Uh, so what brings you all the way out here?" you ask."It sounds crazy..." Citrine says, grinning. "...but I am now an honest woman!" Citrine shows you her hand, revealing a rather fancy wedding ring."A guy used to come in regularly and use me as a model for his paintings..." che says happily, "...and he ended up falling for my 'rustic charm' and actually ending up proposing to me! And now here I am, the wife of a fancy high-class artist!">what do you say?
>>27636905Hope that was a joke on your part, since it's obvious he didn't like it. His step-father sounds a bit complicated. Felt feelings for Reinhold, but was a violent alcoholic. Both points don't negate either.
>>27636918did not confirm anything.
>>27636992Sincerely congratulate her.
>>27636992Congratulate her & wish them the best.
>>27636992"Good for you. I'm glad you made it out of that place."
>>27636992"Good for you. Glad you are doing okay." say farewells and lets continue with our day off.
>>27636992'I'm glad for you'Find a way to disengage.
>>27636992Congrats. Might I ask who?
>>27636992"I'm happy for you. You of all people deserved something better than that place.I wish you the best in your life together. Does this fancy artist have a name?"
>>27636992congratulate her, ask the man's name. we may have to look at this man's paintings/go overprotective big brother on him
>>27636992Say "Gratz xDDD"
>>27637022>>27637025Thirded. It's nice to see that sometimes everything works out as it should or better.
>>27636992"Congratulations! i'm uh honestly happy for you!"then make a quick hug
>>27637049Eh, let's not get overboard. If we felt that way about her, we would have never left the brothel.
>>27637076eh, she's the only one who was nice to us, allegedly.
>>27637076This. We should keep in touch but not go out of our way to get involved with their lives.
>>27637076I technically go out of my way to ensure my brother doesn't get shit on, but I am not going to move into his dorm to keep him safeThere's varying levels of "protectiveness," Anon, it's not an all or nothing game.>>27636992>"That's amazing. Good luck for me too, since now I'm free of that "if we're thirty and single..." promise we made. Congratulations!">hug xoxoxoxo
>>27637049What? Go overprotective big brother on someone who painted a whore? She got fucked daily and you're whining about her getting painted?
>>27637108>>hug xoxoxoxoNow I can't help but imagine Reinhold shitposting on /adv/ about his awful working environment.
>>27637092Which is why we bothered to come out of our way and risk a scene for sake of greeting her. But, she seems to have found her richard gere. Any meddling could do more harm than good.
>>27636992"Awesome. Maybe you should introduce me some time or other. I've been sketching but I'm no big time there. Glad you've got someone who can take care of you."
>>27637123> bitchy princess wat do
>>27637123What's wrong with Reinhold's work environment?
>>27637158Nothing, that's the joke.
>>27637123It's not that bad. We get good pay, good company and plenty of perks (TURKEY LEGS).And Princess might be unpleasant, but she could be oh so much worse. For instance, imagine if she insisted on leaving castle on regular basis to see how's life among poor folks - in secret and without telling us.
>>27637158Bitchy princess, no privacy, "friends," who're just utter shitbags.Good bennies and decent hours, oom & board comped, access to castle amenities though.
>>27637158Boundary issues with co-workers.
>>27637191>no privacyWe have our own room that nobody has entered besides us as long as we've been here.
>>27637158It doesn't have to be bad for the sort of folks who use /adv/ to complain.
>>27637217>Having Nicolette and Sylvie fuck everything up by not respecting privacy/personal space>privacy
>>27636992"That is good. That is GOOD. You were always one of the good ones, and I'm happy to see you got out of that shithole."
>>27637201Yeah, we'll have to gently convince Sylvie to put at least A BIT more faith into her friends. Before she turns into one of those.
>>27637248It was already established, that Sylvie has good potential for yandere.
>>27637252>You were always one of the good onesThat's... It implies other people, who may h ave been her friends, were bad ones.
>>27637248How exactly have they screwed up things?
>>27637277Archelon's said that Citrine was the only one who wasn't a huge cunt to us.
>>27637277Well, yeah, but fuck those guys. Besides, "one of the good ones", if she really feels like it might be an insult (and doesn't hate the others) then she'll just rationalise it as "me and my friends were the good ones."She's a whore, a prostitute, in a dank and dim world of pastely grey tones, she probably has a pretty damn thick skin.
>>27637252The first part sounds really creepy.
>>27637277Yes it implies that because they were.
>>27637328Stop reading it creepily.
>>27637328The whole thing does, really.
>>27637349>>27637328But now he said it, i realized it is true and i just cant read it without being creepy.
Fucking fine."That's good, that's good, I'm happy to see you got out of that shithole. Anyone getting out of there is great."
"That's a nice ring..." Melanie says, staring at it."Oh, wow. I'm glad you made it out of there," you say, giving a genuine smile."So am I!" Citrine replies, grinning widely. "Also...""Also?""I'm going to have a baby!"You stare at Citrine in disbelief."Yup! Just found out the other day!" Citrine says, patting her stomach."...congratulations..." you reply, unsure how to react."I was thinking that if it's a boy, I'd name him after my favorite little guy...""Wha-""So he'd be Reinhold Lanzmann!""You're not serious, right?"Upon hearing that last name, Melanie's eyes grow wide with surprise."Lanzmann... you wouldn't be married to Marius Lanzmann, would you?" she asks."Yup! He's kind of weird, but still a great guy!" Citrine replies happily."What, you know him?" Nicolette asks."He's famous... -very- famous," Melanie replies excitedly. "His paintings have been auctioned off for huge amounts of money.""Yeah, I certainly hit the jackpot!" Citrine laughs. "And I had no idea how much money he had when he proposed to me...'>what do you say?
>>27637462"Well shoot, and I thought I found my way to easy street."
>>27637462"Well, I'm glad to hear you're in it for the right reasons, but, we've best be off, so goodbye"
>>27637462Now, I ain't saying she's a gold digger...
>>27637506to me, it sounds like she is genuine about it, and the money is a bonus on top that she found out about afterwards
>>27637462"great seeing you" move along
>>27637462>>what do you say?same as the last time. this >>27637042
>>27637462"Do they? How much did the ones with Citrine go for, I wonder?WHAT? No, damn, that's not what I meant at all."
>>27637462"I'm happy for you, Citrine. Oh, but you've probably got your errands, and we've got ours. Let's meet up some other time, to catch up, okay?"
>>27637462Arrange for painting lessons
>>27637462Well it's been great catching up with you and all, but I've gotta get going. See ya!
>>27637550this sounds good
>>27637557That sounds interesting, but I wouldn't want to see the Rule of Awkward come into place and have Citrine pose as a model for us.
>>27637579Please, we've seen her naked plenty of times.
>>27637579We should make Sylvie and Nicol pose for us in frilly dresses.
>>27637579>>27637587In that case, wouldn't we have to worry about jealousy?
>>27637590Clarification: Sylvie and Nicol are in the frilly dresses. We, presumably are in our uniform. Although I suppose we could be too, I guess. Hadn't really thought about it,
>>27637592No we wouldnt. Since when do we care about that.
>>27637462"It's a small world. Haha, maybe I'll come visit sometime, to drink and rem-- no, forget about the past, and maybe your hubby might give me a few pointers about portraits."
>>27637618I mean the painter might get jealous of us. You know, we've apparently seen her naked before. She's naming her son after us...
>>27637637Yeah, but he got her and we're probably gay.
>>27637637We're basically her long-lost little brother. He likely knows how shitty that place was.
>>27637658Actually, that brings up a point.Archelon, how accepted is homogay in this setting?
>>27637658>we're probably gay.In that case, Citrine might get jealous of us hanging around her husband all the time.
>>27637669Likely? he was fucking her for years. He knows exactly how shitty.
>>27637637A jealous painter might conceivably just shame us because of our drawing skills and make a funny caricature to be spread around. On second thoughts, let's not make the super rich painter dude jealous.
>>27637669>He likely knows how shitty that place was.He was a regular customer. Of Citrine specifically, but he probably shopped around.
>>27637658reasoning please? beyond molestation at an early age which would fuck us up no matter our sexual orientation
>>27637688Does that mean that Chinhold will be a thing passed around higher circles if we get famous?
>>27637709Only if we piss off the painter dude.
>>27637706Nothing I can point to specifically, just his general behavior seems like a guy who's gay (but not necessarily out, and cool with himself) to me.
>>27637658>we're probably gay.Not if I have any say
>>27637727>/tg/ - /totally gay/>>27637733I support this.
>>27637727Is it the dresses? It's the dresses, isn't it?
>>27637733Why would you be against that?
>>27637727I think you're just disoriented because we aren't acting like a sex-crazed maniac whenever women are in the room. Its an easy mistake to make.
>>27637658>implying waifufags would allow it
>>27637658>>27637733>>27637738/totally A sexual/
>>27637727I don't get that impression at all, to me it seems like growing up in the brothel stunted his sexual development, and during puberty and his earlier teen years, he was busy doing other things for that to develop
>>27637733Scared of the dick, /pol/ak?
>>27637744I'm not a waifu fag but don't lump me in with you degenerate sodomites just because I want Reinhold to end the quest single and/or blue-balled
>>27637744Best Waifu are1. Sword2. TakamaruSo, I think we'll be ok
>>27637751Or maybe he's just got learned control and jadedness regarding sex.
>>27637762>anyone who doesn't want to roleplay a gay is a /pol/ackYes, this is exactly what we need.
>>27637780certainly possible, but still, I'm not seeing teh gay in chinhold
>>27637739No. Mostly his interactions with the girls - he shows absolutely no attraction for them, and doesn't act as though it's even potential, besides jokes which do more to rule it out than imply it's the case. At the same time, he's acted a bit attracted to both Takamaru and arguably Arnaud. Not to say that it's not just respect, especially in the latter case, but it looks like a bit more to me.
>>27637785Well why else would someone be upset to have a piece of media contain a gay character? It's not like archelon's going to go Magical Realm on us.
>>27637790Sorry, I'm not saying Reinhold is gay, just saying that his heterosexual tendencies could be under control / jaded. Agreedisagreeing with you.
>>27637803We've not even known these people for a month, we're trying to be professional, it doesn't look good to be flirting with the staff, at least so soon after moving in.
>>27637816What? Maybe it's because that doesn't excite us?
>>27637803>>27637790I'm straight and like playing the role of a straight protagonist but shipping Takamaru somehow feels right. Him and swords at least.Nicolette or Sylvie are fine too.
>>27637837so you're suggesting that...heterosexual men "excite," you?I see where you're coming from now.
I'm so sorry for you archelon.
>>27637803your first thoughts when meeting someone are either "how can I fuck them" or "i'm not interested in fucking them" it seemsseeing as its Rein's first month on the job, this is just him being professional/polite and getting on with the job and getting to know people
>>27637803Someone's got "gay" confused with "chivalrous". Don't worry, it happens to the best of us.
>>27637744oh you.>>27637658if Rein is like, Freddie mercury gay? I'm down with it.
"It's nice to hear that you're doing so well, Citrine," you say to her, "but I'm sure that you have your own errands to get to...""Oh yeah, that's right," Citrine snaps her fingers. "Marius wanted me to pick up some canvases for him, and the art store he likes closes soon..." she says as she checks an ornate pocketwatch. "Well, I'm sure I'll be seeing you around! Try not to break too many hearts, Mister Swordsman!"With that, Citrine waves goodbye to you and hurries off down the street."Um... I'm really sorry to invade your privacy like that..." Sylvie says to you guiltily."Yeah. I thought I knew how it felt to not want people up in your business, but you had it worse than I'd have ever thought," Nicolette joins in.As she watches the others apologize, Melanie just bows stiffly.>how do you respond?
>>27637803I would say he has acted attracted to no one at all. not gay, just uninterested in people for there sex at all. just generally friendly.
>>27637853Yeah, it's a shame isn't it?
>>27637762Why would anybody want to restrict themselves to only their own sex? Are you so insecure that you restrict yourself simply because she doesn't have familiar looking parts?
>>27637824>We've not even known these people for a monthReinhold is 17.

>>27637889>>27637890Combination of these two. Wave it off if they keep bugging us.
>>27637824We've been flirting with the girls though, just not seriously. And we've very distinctly not flirted with guys, but acted very professional while seeming a bit infatuated in the way it was written.

>>27637863"We'll discuss your punishment later. For now, the topic is closed.Anyway, I want a pocketwatch."
>>27637863"*sigh* It's fine, just... don't mention this to anyone, alright?"
>>27637896>I hope they enjoy golf.I'll stop posting now.
>>27637863Eh, it's cool. So, where to next? Also, I'd imagine from growing up in a brothel he's be desensitized to that sort of thing.

>>27637803You know we met the girls about a week ago right? Sylvie is almost ready to confess and nico is showing signs, he is even moving fast with the girls. This is actually a decent roleplay for /tg/ since we dont have a harem on day two.
>>27637910> Anyway, I want a pocketwatch."that was the first thing we did
>>27637921Oh. I can't keep track of this shit.
>>27637855>your first thoughts when meeting someone are either "how can I fuck them" or "i'm not interested in fucking them" it seemsNot now, but when I was 17? You fucking bet.
>>27637860we will grow the most feminine mustache this world has ever known.
>>27637917No, please continue. At the very least I got a good chuckle at Rein presenting a golf course's putting green to the girls with a pleased expression.
>>27637910We bought that first thing anon.>>27637863"It's fine" then head to the pastry shop to pick something up for the princess.
>>27637863"Well, it's not like it's a secret that I was sold to a brothel.""It's just one of those things you don't bring up in an everyday conversation."

That might make sense, considering he lived in a whore house.
>>27637863"No worries. I know about you guys' backgrounds already anyway. It's just not a past I'm really proud of."
>>27637950This is bretty good.
>>27637950do we actually know we were sold to it? it seemed like we hadn't delved that far into our backstory

>>27637863"There's no business to get into, because I've left it all behind. Small world, though, eh?"
>>27637851>so you're suggesting that...heterosexual men "excite," you?I thought we already passed through that phase of self-delusion that 4chan wasn't filled to the brim with homosexually inclined young men who hate 3dpd and love Space Marines.>>27637863Look a bit tired and sigh, then give a smile. >>27637863"What's done is done. This also give me a reason freely harass your privacy for once when i feel like it, and trust me i'll make good use of my free pass. Let's move on with the day."Where to next?

>>27637863"Don't worry so much about it, it's not exactly a secret and I'm not ashamed of my past. It may have been unpleasant and I generally don't bring it up. But it made me who I am and I got out of there due to merit.I could really go for a pastry next."
>>27637975Well that's dissapointing.
>>27637975Now that's interesting.
>>27637975This wouldn't happen to lead to us finding out we're some sort of 'lost prince' by some chance, would it?
>>27637875Well he did flirt with the girls at some occasions.Or at least teased them in a way that could be interpreted as such.>>27637895Thanks for settling this. I dont think princess learning it would be bad for Reinhold. She'll learn eventually and it shouldn't create much of a problem.

>>27639448why is he so happy saying that?
>>27639493But we /ss/'d with a whore, we can never get married.
>>27639493Reinhold needs some kind of character defect. He's just too damn well-adjusted for his background. And it also keeps the waifu-ing in check.Reinhold must embrace his inner wormslut.
>>27639500Getting annoyed doesn't warrant what the post he was quoting is suggesting.
>>27639519How we're playing him I dont really picture Reinhold as that much of a manwhore to be honest.
>>27639519Our character defect is that we're not interested in the waifu's, and we're horrible at open jokes.
>>27639519I'm pretty sure his thing is "asexual," or some sort of intensely crippling intimacy issues
>>27639500I wouldn't exactly call listening in on a conversation in the middle of the street in broad daylight an "invasion", and its not like the info in question was exactly super secret. I think its time to let it go.
>ride inside with the girlswe just said that we don't care. Don't contradict it by sitting with the nameless NPC.
>>27639521Yes it does, Nicolette is being as nonchalant as always not giving a fuck about her butting her nose in our bidness, at least Sylvie has the decency of being ashamed of her act. It's a perfect validly reason to be pissed off at that and getting a cool breeze in the ride back to not explode in a burst of "FUCK U NICOLETTE" it's actually more mature than expected.
>>27639534I'd agree with this.
>>27639500You do need to be 12yo or act like one to get that annoyed at a minor privacy invasion by friends
>>27639498Probably and yes. Another way to test your mana reserves it to see how many stone cocks you can grow out of your body. Sylvie came out looking like something from a tentacle hentai.
>>27639500please quit obsessing over it already. I get it, I'm sure most of us get it that privacy is important thing to you, but I'm inclined to believe we've already reached an agreement that Reinhold has decided to let this transgression slide.Besides, culprits have felt bad and apologised afterwards. Reserve your wrath for next instance of breach of privacy.
>>27639535We obviously said "wait here while I say hi" and they didnt listen. It's an invasion of privacy whether Reinhold cares or not.
>>27639556You are aware that multiple people can have an issue with it. I wasn't part of this discussion, but it wound me up too.
>>27639534Which are borne from early sexual trauma and shame. Reinhold has urges like any normal guy, but finds them dirty and suppresses them hard.
>>27639534Now that's more Reinhold-like than being a manwhore.
>>27639571Wow. Way to put words in both the writefag's and everyone else's mouths.
>>27639547If it bothered us we would have said something about it earlier rather than being passive aggressive. Unless you want Rein to be like that?
Before you head into the carriage, you grab one of the donut boxes and open it up."Hey, would you like one?" you ask the driver."Eh?" he looks at you, completely taken off-guard. "Um... sure. Thanks, man," he says as he takes a donut out of the box and immediately starts eating it. "I can see why you're so popular."You nod to the driver and then get into the carriage, taking the open seat next to Sylvie."Alright, donut time!" Nicolette says as she grabs one donut for herself and hands another to Melanie."Thank you, Mr. Reinhold," Melanie says as she starts eating."Um... you said that you were going to give those cakes to the Princess?" Sylvie asks."Yeah, that was the plan," you reply."Were you going to go find her when we dropped Melanie off at the castle, or were you going to wait until after we have dinner at Nicolette's place?">MARIANNE NEEDS HER DELICIOUS CAKES ASAP>wait until after we eat, dessert is supposed to come after dinner.
>>27639582It doesnt seem appropiate to make a big deal out of it, hence the ride back to cool off instead of going full hate-train on them. At least it sounds right in my mind.
>>27639582I-It's not like I'm mad or anything, f-fuckers.
>>27639571Or he saw what went on in the brothel and was disgusted by the kind of people who would come there, distancing himself from them completely.

>>27639591>wait until after we eat, dessert is supposed to come after dinner.
>>27639581It does make some sense.Although I wouldn't ascribe that much meaning to it.for one, incessant trolling by "anti-waifufags" have made people cautious of making ANY romantic advances, hence MC's apparent asexuality.Plus, we don't have to roleplay an american teenage series where everyone fucks with everyone at least once after week's acquaintance.
>>27639592But Reinhold not going to go full hate train on them like you suspect. That's just how you would react, most of us here have already put this behind us.
>>27639591Might as well ask Melanie if she knows what time would inconvenience her the least. If not lets go for:>wait until after we eat, dessert is supposed to come after dinner.
>>27639582Reinhold clearly shrugged off the transgression. I think we can forget it. People should stop trying to make him into some sort of woobie. I feel like these are the same faggots that are trying to ship him with Takamaru
>>27639582Man, you guys need to figure out what passive-aggressive is before you start bandying about. Also, simply calling something "certain behavior," (passive-aggressiveness, cuntyness, etc) isn't an argument or a defense - it's just a straw man.If you want to involve being "passive-aggressive," you need to form an actual argument around it. You can't just shout it out and expect it to mean something.Anyways, to address the point: I disagree, I don't think it's passive-aggressive. It's not about being mad, or getting back, or making them feel bad - he's had two of the two people that he likes blatantly and flagrantly disregard his desires. Not cool, bro. He just wants to hang with himself and internalize the day and eat in peace.
>>27639598Good, that can be brought in too. His characterisation in regards to romance and sex aren't set in stone yet.How about all the aforementioned factors resulted in him separating the concepts of sex and love/attraction from each other?
>>27639591>wait until after we eat, dessert is supposed to come after dinner.Unless the donuts are going to get crushed or whatever, there really are no reasons to go visit her now. It's not like she's been told there would be cake.
>>27639625I like your thinking, sir.
>>27639591Maybe Melanie could drop them off for us, she is more likely to find the princess on short notice than us and it wouldn't be right to keep Nicolette's family waiting
>>27639617That's actually pretty smart.
>>27639591Hm... I thought we would deliver them next morning when we entered the Duty, but I'm guessing it would be more prudent to deliver them now, rather than wait after dinner - God knows when we're coming back. It could very well be next morning.imagine the random encounter tables in vicinity of a veteran adventurer
>>27639611Most of our time is taken up by a woman who many consider, understandably so, unwaifuable too. We're still new here and it's not like we haven't had too many chances, and we did well when we have. As far as 'romance' seems to go, everything is moving at a natural pace, no sure signs yet but possible. Which is maybe too slow for /tg/.
>>27639625I could get behind that.
>>27639591Ask Melanie to take them to princess for us.
>>27639622I would agree with what you're saying, but the actual contents were completely irrelevant, so its really unimportant. I got worked up a bit during the discussion, but if I actually think about it or don't think about it at all, I don''t think it's a problem.
>>27639642Thank you, kind sir.

>>27639625And is probably not really used to love considering his background. If a girl comes onto Reinhold, he would know how it works sexually, but actually being that emotionally close to someone is new, different, and scary.

>>27639639This. maybe ask to put it in the princesses bedroom
>>27639646Oh I for one am quite fine with taking the easy and slow pace.

>>27639734I wouldn't use it if it didn't fit so well.
>>27639735I figured as much, but it's a bit disconcerting to see what the vocal minority plans for the MC without hearing any opposition, so I wanted to speak my mind.

"Uh..." you turn to Melanie. "What do you think?""Hm!?" Melanie quickly finishes eating a donut. "Um, I think it would be best to wait? She would probably be angry if you interrupted her time with her father...""Alright, waiting it is," you reply. The ride back to the castle is uneventful, aside from Nicolette and Sylie pretty much devouring an entire box of donuts on their own before either you or Melanie could start on your second. Just as you finish them all off, the carriage arrives at the castle."Today was enjoyable for the most part, thanks for inviting me," Melanie says to Nicolette as she exits the carriage."Heh, it was nothing!" Nicolette replies, a wide grin on her face. "I guess I'll have to drag you out again sometime soon...""As long as I'm off, sure!"With that, Melanie hurries into the castle and the carriage moves on to its next stop- Nicolette's house.Nicolette gazes lazily out of the window as the carriage moves along, and it seems that Sylvie has fallen asleep... you push her off of you when she starts to use your shoulder as a headrest, but the tilt of the road is such that gravity seems to be conspiring against you. Giving up after the fifth time, you instead decide to admire the scenery as Nicolette's house comes into view.And... wow. It's LARGE. Nowhere near as large as the castle, of course, but it's certainly big enough to be considered a mansion.A very nice-looking mansion. The carriage comes to a sudden stop, which wakes Sylvie up. After the usual profuse blushing and fretting over percieved improprieties, you all exit the carriage and approach the front door of Nicolette's mansion.>say something>stay silent and take in the sights
>>27639801>stay silent and take in the sights
>>27639616>>27639618Or, and this isnt what im advocating, he could just be a little resentful inside and is just trying to ignore it, which would also be pretty normal. Either way, it's something he could just take out on his training if he needs to.
>>27639801>stay silent and take in the sightsWouldn't want to wake up Sylvie.

You decide to keep quiet and instead admire the impressive construction of the mansion. Well-groomed shrubbery... a pond with colorful fish swimming around in it... llamas grazing in the distance... and is that a fountain?"Alright, let's get this over with," Nicolette says as she adjusts the dress bag draped over her shoulder and walks up to the door.KNOCK KNOCK"It's Nicolette! I brought some guests, so let me inside already!" Nicolette shouts."Okay, be right down!" you hear a muffled female voice from inside say. After a few seconds, you hear gears in the door shift and the door slowly opens......revealing a young lady with the same silver-colored hair as Nicolette."Oh, Nico! You've finally come hoooome!!!" she says as she practically tackles Nicolette, sending her dressbag flying. Fortunately, Sylvie seems to have been expecting such a thing to happen, quickly snatching it out of the air."Dammit, you don't have to do that every single time..." Nicolette says as she wrestles free of the other girl's grip. "Anyways, I brought Sylvie over, and this here is Reinhold," she says, pointing to you."Hi, Sylvie! You're as cute as ever!" the girl says, rustling Sylvie's hair."Um, thanks..." Sylvie replies, blushing slightly."And what do we have here? You certainly are a handsome one," the girl says as she checks you out."Reinhold, meet my mother," Nicolette says with a long sigh....wait, this girl is her MOTHER!? She barely looks older than Nicolette!>how do you react?

Since the people I live with are about to wake up, I guess I'll call it a night here. While today's first thread was... I don't even know, I do appreciate that you toned it down a lot for this second one.I don't know if I'll be running tomorrow since I have a test on Wednesday, but we'll see.For further announcements, check yon twitter account.https://twitter.com/QM_ArchelonFeel free to discuss the next choice, I'll read your responses when I wake up.
>>27640012 I agree with him!!!
>>27640031Thanks for the thread tonight, arch. 1000+ combined posts.
>>27640031Thank you, Arch.
>>27640017That's not a good idea at all. You never know where her murderhobo husbando pops up, for once. And it would be disrespectful to Nicolette who's really got it all herself.Although this longevity thing is starting to creep me out. Are we surrounded by vampires, polymorphed dragons or is medical and/or cosmetic magic just so popular among the nobility?
>>27640031Cheers for the quest, OP, and best of luck with the test! Get some proper sleep and preparation like.
>>27640054Could you be paranoid about something that could maybe make sense?Or at least put your tin foil hat back on.
>>27640017You don't. You just don't. >>27640015I didn't say to call her that. And it matches up. Nicolette doesn't want to reveal her magical origin, the Royal family is known for their connection to Water, her father was said to be an adventurer and met his wife while doing that, which matches Raoul spending most of his time adventuring, Nicolette went out of her way to not name any names when talking about her family and wants to be recognized on her own merits rather then nepotism which really fits her father being the King's brother. She is childhood friends with Sylvie and Marianne, both of whom are also related to the royal family. Considering what we've heard of Raoul and that Nicolette's personality was said to be a lot like her father's it all fits together pretty well.It might be something else, but signs are pointing towards this.
You an cool bro OP
>>27640017You just come clean and say it.
>>27640080Or, maybe, like us, she wants to keep that all private?God fucking forbid.ps, the mother is the adventurer, the father is the noble.Gat dam.
>>27640080>>27640054Guys. Guys. Guys.Nicolette's MOM is the adventurous murderhobo. Her dad is the royalty.
>>27639965"Mother? I though you two might've been twins. It's nice to meet you, your estate seems really lovely."
>>27640098Yet the dad is the one still out adventuring.
>>27640089You. I like your style.
>>27640102...but he's not.
>>27640090>>27640098Dad implied to be the king's older brother then spend all his time adventuring. Nicol and the princess are cousins, Sylvie a 2nd cousin to them, at least that's what I gleaned.
Rolled 2>>27640102Or is Sir Gregory. Im calling it. "Somehow they got married". The disbelief Sir Gregory would marry her is astronomical, plus nicolette's relationship with him just screams hidden daughter father. "Shit I have to go to this damn ball? FUUUUUUU....hey nicolette since I have to go you're coming too." "Oh god why dad!" "BECAUSE"
>>27640112But he's not the dad, because dad is a distant relative of Thierri and Raoul. We know this because Archelon said so.Darling mother was the murderhobo that bumped (:B) into Noble Dad and then sprouted at least one kid.I assume Mom is enjoying a retirement/whatever while dad does noble things or whatever. It hasn't been mentioned if he's in Granache or the castle or abroad.
>>27639965That's your mother? I could have sworn she was no more than a couple of years older than you Nicolette
>>27640127Well regardless, she's not available for grabs.
>>27640134"I didn't know you had a sister." cue ara aras.
>>27640141WE'RE IN IT FOR THE ARAS
>>27640140You need to be telling that to the other anons. Not like she'd take any shit from Reinhold anyways, being an unironically successful adventurer. She'd probably turn him into long pork in a second.
>>27640153While it's just not the same coming from someone looking so young, I'll take it!
>>27640127When did he say that it was some distant relative?Because I don't remember that bit ever coming up.
>>27639965>Her mother>Meaning she's an OLDER WOMAN>And she just called us HANDSOME>Cue full-on PTSD flashbacks regarding that "Spinelle" our ex-whore friend mentioned>>27640122I kinda got that vibe too after he flew all the way out to the city just to troll her softly.
>>27640165I don't really recall that either. But if he did say that it's important to note if Arch himself or some other NPC said that to fill us in, or if Nicol said that to that so we don't make the connection to her real dad, but either way we'll find out next time.
>>27640122It was mentioned that Nicolette's personality was a lot like her father's. I don't think that really fits with Gregory.>>27640179I really don't remember that being said, and if it wasn't mentioned then Raoul is a pretty solid bet for a variety of reasons.
>>27640169This. We should be afraid of ~ara ara ladies, even moreso than women our age and below.
>>27640158Or unironically successful guard, future Knight.>"dammit shut up sylvie- ANYWAYS, that's that. >>27640253>"Alright. My father's a member of the royal family, and my mother was an adventurer that he met when he was younger," Nicolette explains. "Somehow my parents managed to hit it off and got married, and that's how I happened.">"Nicolette takes after her mother in looks, and her father in personality," Sylvie chimes in.>"dammit shut up sylvie- ANYWAYS, that's that. My mother wants me to stay at home and live up the noble life, my father wants me to follow in his footsteps, but I want to do my own thing and there we go.">"She's actually following in her-">"shut up shut up SHUT UP"Thats all I could find on the matter, from thread #23hints that she's following in her mothers footsteps and has her dads personality, but thats it.
>>27640340Sounds to me more like she is following in her fathers footsteps if it is Sir Gregory and she takes after her father in some respects but not all of them
