Through a series of unlikely shenanigans and pure dumb luck, you've managed to make yourself stand out to the faculty as a rising star amongst the students. Shining as a beacon of talent the very moment you began classes, you've managed to learn the true name of an Imp rather quickly, travel to the Entropic Plane and just recently made what you believe is a close friend out of one it's strange denizens, whom you have now named Oblitus Luna, the Forgotten Moon.Being a rising star in the Magic world has it's downsides - the Archmagister explained that the Empire who seeks to suppress Magic may try and do something to get rid of you. Fortunately, the Fifth Circle Academy is here to protect you every step of the way - whether it's through a secret, shadowy group of other prodigies identified by the Academy, or just plain protection given by some of the most powerful Mages alive, they're quite confident as long as you remain within Academy Grounds, you're safe. From the Empire at least. After a date with Ariane, you woke up to begin the next day with a spring in your step. After classes with Pythianne, you decided to head to the Alchemy Labs to see the Archmagister where you were stopped by Vann. After a brief discussion on choices, he let you go as the Alchemy Labs exploded.Rescuing your maybe girlfriend, and witnessing some of the more powerful magi at work, you took her to the infirmary to watch over her. When she awoke, you declared your intent to discuss your relationship.>Actions?
>>26847120Why is this on the second page? I almost missed it.
Things got a little crazy last time with romance, so here's what McTerrorcastle does.Tell Ariane that we had a lot of fun but we're not really ready for a serious relationship right now.Ask her how she feels about the relationship.Tell her we definitely want to stay friends and are open minded but we want to take it slow, so we can focus on all the crazy shit that's about to happen. Then we can wrap up this stuff and get back to Magic and Plot. Please.
>>26847175Was it on the second? I just fired it up like now.
>>26847120Blah blah, we shouldn't rush in to things like that blah blah things be crazy, blah blah I suck at human interaction.>>26847175>Not using the catalog>Not following the twitter
>>26847185/tg/ is on fire now it seems. And I agree with this >>26847180Just make it clear that we feel it's too early to start an early relationship when school has just begun, and that we need some time to focus on other matters before you can turn your thoughts towards a relationship.
>>26847180>>26847224I think maybe telling her that while we didn't exactly mind what happened between the two of us, we would prefer to let the feelings develop naturally. Hold her hand, smile, and tell her that we should take things slow.
>>26847180>Then we can wrap up this stuff and get back to Magic and Plot. Please.Yes. I will be fucking off somewhere else until we get done with this faggotry.I have no energy or desire to participate in or watch people be retards about Ariane and / or Pythianne.
>>26847268Yes. I just want this over while maintaining a warm friendship with her so we can move on to magic again.
>>26847120We should stick with Ariane for now, see how things go. Oh, sure, Pythianne has a fantastic chest and is a cheerful woman, but she's also two or three times our age and doesn't seem interested. Logic aside, practically no kid's going to fixate on an uninterested teacher to the extent of ignoring a reasonable attractive classmate who's willing to make out with him. That's not to say Castle won't continue to appreciate the existence of that chest in the abstract, but that chest isn't attached to someone who wants to make up with him. So it goes.We don't want to press Ariane for anything major, though. No declarations of undying love or marriage proposals. We've had all of one date, and a chemically enhanced encounter. But tell her we think she's pretty cool, would like to spend more time with her, see how things go. That we don't want to force her into anything too serious because of one evening, but that she's fun to hang out with and she's cute and smart and why not.Maybe a bit more tactfully that that.Besides, she's in the same boat as us here. Intelligent, ambitious, maybe in danger of having an.. imperial accident.. if things go poorly. We could do worse than to watch each other's backs.
>>26847224>>26847216>>26847180She gives you an inquisitive look. You take a deep breath. You apologise, and explain to her that you feel you aren't ready for a serious relationship - not right now at least. Right now you'd like to establish yourself in the Academy. She listens to you silently (not that she could say anything if she wanted to). You finish by taking her hand in yours and saying that you'd like to remain friends for now but wouldn't object if things became amorous later on the line."Is that okay with you?" She nods. She doesn't seem to have taken it badly, and she gives you a bright smile.Well. That went well. You think.>Continue to talk with Ariane>Go see the rubble>Return to your Dorm>Other?
>>26847290I'm not sure about fulling ending our relationship, but I agree that it should be (And be in Hairy's character) of less importance than becoming Emperor of Everything.
>>26847296No, stop, please. Can't we just ignore all that crap and do something magical? Let's please just move on from this. >>26847180
>>26847310RETURN TO DORMRETURN TO DORMRETURN TO DORM
>>26847331The reason we were going to the Alchemical Labs was to talk to the Archmagister about... something. Damned if I remember what.
>>26847310>Return to your DormAnd for the love of god keep that (incu/succu/omni)bi book in the middle of the pile. Spine towards our chest.
No guys, we were gonna talk to that alchemy magister about DESTRUCTION magic.Let's see to that first, then go study.
>>26847377What would she know about Destruction magic? She can't do anything but Alchemy, and being Destruction aligned makes it so you can't do alchemy. We have nothing to say on the topic to her about it.
>>26847348Oh yeah, we wanted to learn magic from the Archmagister. Might as well stick our lips to his ass in the hopes of not being assassinated by the Empire. If we decide to study under him, we could probably also learn some stuff about politics from him, under the guise of wanting to not be assassinated, to help when we decide to take over the world.
>>26847400Woops. Misread and thought you said Ariane and not the magister for some reason.
>>26847377>>26847348Oh, right. Screw my post here >>26847331DESTRUCTION MAGICDESTRUCTION MAGICDESTRUCTION MAGICWe should see if it's even possible to do anything constructive with it, or if it's all just magical dynamite.
>>26847414>>26847408>>26847348You ask Oblitus to return your books to your room as you stand up and bid goodbye to Ariane. The Archmagister can teach you about Magic right? Specifically, Destruction! Didn't Vann mention the Magister of Alchemy was also attuned to Destruction? The rubble has been cleared of Students - the Archmagister is busy tsk'ing, and stroking his chin, talking in a low voice with Vann.>Approach?>Watch?>Listen?>Other?
>>26847453It was the magister of alchemy that we were going to in order to learn from in the first place wasn't it?Lets talk to him.No need to listen in, they are probably talking about the event that just unfolded.
>>26847487The alchemy magister is destruction attuned, seemingly even more than us.The archmagister is good at everything, we were going to talk to him. Now he's talking to Vann.Let's talk to the Archmagister. Just approach him.
So confused. Magister Ahavans is the Alchemy magister, yeah? But how can he be the Alchemy Magister if he's not even allowed to do alchemy because it just explodes?
>>26847522He's just not allowed to do it in front of students.
>>26847453Approach. No need not to.>>26847522Probably because he knows alchemy and they want to keep him close.
>>26847522He can still teach it lecture style and observe students as they work. I guess he has an older alchemy student TA for him if he needs demonstrations?
>>26847453Incidentally, I feel that it would not only be amusing but politically wise to out up a more convincing facade of madness (something I am confident the Archmagister is doing as well). If we increase our safe outward displays of irrational behavior we might be able to convince the Empire's spies that we do not pose much threat to them. I hardly think this plan would be completely successful, but anything to increase our personal long-term safety must be considered.
>>26847555That sounds like one of the worst ideas ever.
>>26847555I disagree, the less like the Arch Magister we are the better. That guy is like the definition of a fool, especially is no potential pure power.
>>26847555Literally nothing we have done since we named ourselves Hairy McTerrorcastle has been sane. The divination magister thinks there's something wrong with us from a prediction standpoint. I'm not sure we need to worry about a facade at all.I think we're already a bit nuts.
>>26847599"Uh, Sir? I don't suppose I could talk to you in private?"
>>26847628By definition we're schizophrenic. But that's okay, so long as we eventually take over the Empire.
>>26847599Fuck it, balls deep. "What does it mean to be attuned to Destruction?"
>>26847534>>26847506>>26847487You approach the two men. "... just received word myself, actually." Jasper finishes in a low murmur. The moment he sees you, he brightens up considerably though, expression doing a complete 180."Oh! Hello McTerrorcastle! Can I help you with anything?" Vann gives you an off-hand glance and yawns lightly. "Just take what I said into account." He mumbles, swigging his flask again to head over to the grass nearby. He pats it down and... lays down to sleep."Well, McTerrorcastle?">Ask about Destruction>Ask about Tutoring>Ask about the Empire>Other?
>>26847677"Uh, Sir? I don't suppose I could talk to you in private?"
>>26847675>>26847658>I apologise, just forgot to add the >responses
>>26847608Except that he is the Archmagister of the only Magical Academy that we know about. He has likely achieved this through political savvy as opposed to brute magical power, which hardly makes him any less powerful or dangerous. He has also avoided being assassinated, which we must assume is an impressive achievement given the Empire's attitude towards powerful wizards.>>26847581I would like to know why you think so.
>>26847677Ask if there's any constructive use for destruction magic and if it's worth even bothering to study it.
>>26847677>>Ask about Tutoring
>>26847677>Ask about Tutoring
>>26847677>Ask about Destruction"I guess you already knew about it, but I just found out about my attunement really recently and I thought I should ask if there's anything that I should definitely not do at all."
>>26847677>Ask about DestructionIf this means that we could accidentally blow ourselves up, we need to know.
>>26847694I'm not saying he's weak. I'm saying we can accomplish all that and look good while doing it.
>>26847755But until we have enough power that we can be confident in our ability to defeat any assassins, our best defense would be to ensure that no assassins come after us in the first place. We could continue using the strategy we used as regards Magister Pythianne's paper on our journey to the Entropic Plane and simply do our best to skate by beneath the notice of the Empire, but that strategy would likely become less viable to more powerful we become.
>>26847715>>26847698>>26847691>>26847709"Uh, sir? I don't suppose I could talk to you in private?" He smiles again and puts a hand on your shoulder. When you blink, you're in his office again. "Of course you can! My office is always open!" He sits you down in an armchair, flopping into his own.He almost looks tired, despite his exuberant expression."... I guess you already knew about it, but I just found out about my attunement really recently and I thought I should ask if there's anything that I should definitely not do at all."He chuckles. "Destruction attunement... rare AND dangerous. You've already seen what a particularly powerful attunement can be like." He gestures out his window - you can clearly see the wreckage of the Alchemy Lab. "Destruction is the magic that unmakes reality. It can turn an army into a pile of dust you could sweep under your rug." He gives you a serious look."The Empire will not stand for even the slightest hint that you are learning of your power. I had hoped to keep your... talent under wraps, but know that you know, it's best you KNOW. You know?" He giggles."So it doesn't have any constructive uses?" He snorts."'Constructive' is the opposite of 'Destructive'. So no. Unless Destruction itself is constructive..." He trails off and shakes his head."Oh... could I maybe get some tutoring though?" He gives you a sly look."You know, out of all one hundred students that entered the Academy this year, not including the other few hundred or so, you are the only student to actually ask ME for tutoring."A pair of tea cups walk onto the coffee table, followed by a teapot. The pot pours steaming tea into the cups for the two of you, and he raises his to his lips. "You'd think they were afraid of contracting Crazy or something." He tilts the tea cup forward... but doesn't open his mouth. It pours down into his lap."Ah! Refreshing!">He didn't say no - ask him to confirm?>Consider that you might catch 'Crazy'>Other?
>>26847832>>He didn't say no - ask him to confirm?ALL RIGHTY THEN!
>>26847832>>He didn't say no - ask him to confirm?
>>26847832Ask how he teleports.
>>26847832"S..Should I be afraid of contracting crazy?"
>>26847894We are already crazy.>He didn't say no - ask him to confirm?
>>26847894Harry Mcterrorcastle doesn't care about catching crazy.
>>26847894Nah. We shouldn't be. It's like smallpox and cowpox. He's got the serious thing, but we're immune because we've already got the lesser strain of batshit.
>>26847832>He didn't say no - ask him to confirm? Also, pfft, like we're not already infected with more than enough Crazy to be inoculated. Let's do it.
>>26847915with a name like that, we should probably heck to see if crazy is hiding somewhere in the family.
>>26847938We chose our own name, at age 6 when we were told we could do magic. We were, and still are, very precocious.
>>26847938*I meant "Check", not "heck".
>>26847894We're too concerned with our image to reach his levels of madness. Future 'evil' overlords have to be cool.
>>26847867>>26847868>>26847904>>26847915>>26847924You don't bat an eyelid. "That's not a no, sir." He puts the tea cup down, now empty."No. No it wasn't. It wasn't a 'yes' either." He refills his cup again, but leans forward to give you a serious stare."Why do you want to learn from me, McTerrorcastle? The Academy can help you rise to greatness... why do you want more?">Response?
>>26847983On the contrary, a little madness would do wonderfully to ensure nervous obedience in our subordinates.
>>26847988Money, fame, women, and power to protect our fortune.
>>26847988"I want to be, the very best.LIKE NO ONE EVER WAS!"
>>26847988Completely seriously;"I wish to know everything, Archmagister."
>>26847988"Because I'd rather learn from someone who's got experience with it."
>>26847988"To become the best, I need to learn from the best. As for catching crazy, my name IS Hairy McTerrorcastle after all."
>>26847988"I want to reach my full potential. To live a life where none of my regrets are roads not taken."
>>26847988You know better than the other teachers what I need in order to keep the empire off my back. Also teleportation.
>>26847555Yes, lets convince the Empire's spies that in addition to being attuned to dangerous magics, we are mentally unstable to boot. That'll definitely lead them to feel safer about keeping us alive.
>>26847988To be the best. And possible governmental reform, because lets face it, a world with no magic would be incredibly boring.
>>26847988"The power to change what I can, the power to change what I can't, and no regard for the difference"
>>26848016Shit, nobody knows that one. Let's make it our catchphrase!
>>26847988If we're not studying our attunement, why bother studying at all? We'd never reach our full potential.
>>26848059Thus, only 'safe' displays of madness, like the Archmagister exhibits. Wearing our clothes in reverse (pants on head, shirt, vest, and sports jacket on our legs, gloves on feet, etc) or other such demonstrations.
>>26848140We'd study it secretly, of course, in case of assassins.>>26848153pls no more metagaming.

>>26848153No, we continue like Hairy McTerrorcastle would.
>>26848034>>26848016>>26848039>>26848018You return his stare. "I want to be the best. I want to know everything. I want to reach my full potential and further. I want to reach the skies, to touch the stars. That's what I want Archmagister."He gives you a scrutinising look before leaning back in his chair. He picks his tea cup up, and takes a bite out of it this time. You can hear the china crunch in his mouth. "... Heh."Despite taking a bite out of the cup, the tea does not spill out. "I'd be a terrible educator if I couldn't accept such strident determination." He puts the half-eaten cup back on the table."Very well. I'll take you as my apprentice... but you have to be aware of what this means, McTerrorcastle. The Empire won't try anything whilst I'm watching over you... but they're certainly not going to take the idea of you being my understudy lying down." He gives you a mirthless smile. "One Archmagister is bad enough." He holds out his hand now."Do you agree to heed my words when I give them, Hairy McTerrorcastle? If so, I will show you Magic beyond your dreams.">Accept?>Refuse?
>>26848178I don't particularly feel that it's metagaming. I'm using information Hairy already knows about, and he could hardly be unconcerned by the knowledge that he's on the Empire's hitlist.
>>26848204>>Accept?Without a shadow of a doubt.
>>26848204Accept. We've come to far to turn back now.
>>26848204Go for a fist bump. "I accept."
>>26848204I don't think heeding the archmagisters words would be a bad idea in the first place.ACCEPT
>>26848140Destruction is our third best skill. Summoning obviously has a lot of class/reading in it, but for some reason we are CRAZY GOOD at Force magic. Probably because we have an ego the size of a planetoid.
>>26848153But what if he isn't crazy? There was one episode of the Twilight Zone, where this man had a machine that essentially prevented disasters. It could only be maintained with the proper parts. Doll heads, silver washers, socks with holes in the heels...Random items, things that make absolutely no sense. Unless you know how the machine works.

Destruction of nothingnessFuck equal exchange.
I like all this DESTRUCTIONBut...wouldn't CONSTRUCTION be useful? Is construction even a thing? This may be getting ahead of ourselves, but thinking long term...if we could find a way to invert our spells, we could become a powerful force of construction. Which, depending on the situation, may be more useful.
>>26848341Destruction sucks. Can we get something else?
>>26848462We can construct things. With our BARE HANDS!
>>26848462I can take TAKE SOMETHING APART. Why can't I PUT SOMETHING TOGETHER. And Hairy created a new school of magic that day.
>>26848462Consider the following:Destruction is the opposite of construction, as nothing is the opposite of something. Construction would logically increase something, but destruction of nothing would, logically, produce something as well.

It looks like a board for a war game. You peer at the little figurines. Hey, that one looks kind of like Pythianne, and that's definitely the Archmagister... Oh. Ohhhh. The Magisters are all huddled around on a spot you assume represents the Academy. Looking around, you can see various figures you don't recognise - some seem wizard-y, some do not.You aren't sure what any of this really means though. You notice one of the pieces is currently face down - an old looking man in robes, quite a ways away from the Academy.>Continue exploring?>Leave?>Other?

>>26848480You know we don't have to do much with it if we don't want to.Honestly, I prefer most other of the magics myself over Destruction
>>26848521This is the best of all possible plans.
>>26848528Considering how we got to the Entropic plane the first time and what we did when we got there, it doesn't seem particularly unlikely. I hypothesize that we are all being astrally projected from another plane, and death merely returns us to that plane. However, the reason we shouldn't simply kill ourselves is that arriving on this plane we have no memory of our previous lives, and so logically returning would wipe our memory as well. However, use of magic can let us bridge the two planes together.
>>26848589Same, I was pretty happy with summoning at least.

Since no one seems to be commenting on it, our "hot teacher" is actually some sort of undead lich or something. Her brother warned us about what we'd find under her skirt, and Oblitus outright said she was undead when we first met him (albeit, underneath zalgo text). Plus he's scared of her. Since he seems perceptive, it might be interesting to get his opinion of the people we interact with
With this many choices it's going to be tough to get a good consensus.Hey Archmagister, just put together the greatest common denominators and throw it at us for approval, I don't want to sit here for 20 minutes. They'll all get read eventually.>>26848776That is an excellent observation and suggestion. He said she was undead, though? What were his exact words?

AcceptAlso, we should suggest to our new master that maybe we can calm the empire down a little by trying to work on something that interprets Destruction in a non-threatening way.-Anti-magic for instance: either destroying the magic itself, the ability to CAST magic, or the underlying control structure so that energy just bleeds/dribbles away from the mage with no particular effect.-Some sort of (possibly out of our specialty) magically binding oath thing that means they don't have to be paranoid anymore?-Mining: destroy the dross earth to reveal the useful minerals-Destroying diseases-dive so deep into the theoretical study of magic and the study of the underlying rules of how magic works that they realize we're never going to be a threat because that would require leaving the library-destroying denizens of other planes and/or their ability to interact with ours-attempting to destroy the barrier to the divine plane we read about in our bookAlternatively, we could try to destroy the Empire's divination spells that touch us.

It is unfortunate that we must sour this happy declaration with news of a grim and dark nature, but alas, such is the way of life." The man paces in front of the podium. >anti magic fieldsAnti-magic is just another kind of magic! We need the power the one that stands above God to smash that illusion!
>>26849929>"Was that all?"
>>26849906pocket a pice of the chain, >>26849935this force magic shield in the front of us
>>26849942Ironically, Imagine Breaker can only handle so much magic. It stops negating it after a point and just kinda nudges its direction a bit.
Rolled 26Be strong.
Is anyone else concerned that the Archmagister is speaking in Zalgo?
>>26849929>Was that all?>>26849927We Science side nao. Speaking of which, Mugino's power is basically Destruction, isn't it?
>>26849906look around? I don't think our spell or jasper did it, however I may be misunderstanding
>>26849906HAIt's time to take charge of this situation.Let's put a firm arm on our Archmagister's shoulder. We don't want any hostilities now, do we? It's not as if they were going to force us to do something with that anti-magic, were they? They're just law-abiding agents of the emperor, fulfilling their mission. As the law dictates, we'd love to hear how we've betrayed the emperor, since, as far as we know, we've been a loyal subject our entire lives. And if they give us bullshit, we fuck them up. No harm in fishing for information first. Maybe one of them is a hothead and will spill something.
>>26849975Nah man he's just getting serious.>>26849964If we're going to destroy magic, eventually we'll have our own imagine breaker. Ahhh yeah.
Return with your own boast and make fun of him"Ohh man, that rusty old relic was going to stop HAIRY MCTERRORCASTLE? Your mistake shal cost you gravely! Now please tell me Jamal, what law have I broken? You compliance might just save your hide."
"So now that your blatent powerplay has failed, what EXACTLY am I being accused of. Because nobody here is buying your excuses.
>>26849978>We Science side nao. Speaking of which, Mugino's power is basically Destruction, isn't it?Elemental. She's controlling weird fuck electrons.
>>26850018We're going to look stupid if we say that next to the Archmagister while he's being serious. We're still a novice. We need to wait and see while maintaining our cool. Just act like this kinda shit happens all the time and put our yare yare~ face on.
>>26850043Dude, the archmagisters spell just fizzled and we broke it in one try. We got a fucking right to brag.
"Especially given the way you started smiling evilly when saying the information was privy only to the court."
>>26850051You got it backwards dude. Jasper broke the chain, not us. OUR spell fizzled.
>>26850051I think Jasper just got serious after the first spell didn't work and shat magic all over it until it broke. We were just a drop in the bucket.
>>26850068>>26850070Oh, right.Well then, just sit back and watch the archmagister do his thing then
>>26850036This. I believe that calm arrogance in the face of hostility is the MCTERRORCASTLE way.
>>26849906Knock the sword from her hand with Telekinesis
>>26850133>>2685015634 lbs maximum at our level. Not gonna cut it.
Watch the Archmagister to learn from him since he obviously has his shit down
>>26849957>>26849972>>26849935You pocket a piece of the chain and will up a shield of Force in front of you."Come now. I'm sure we can talk this over pleasantly. It's not as though you were going to force us into anything right? You're just here to fulfill your mission. I'd love to hear how I've betrayed the Emperor though." You say cheerfully, glaring down at the Inquisitor.Jasper shakes his head. "No. No more talking. No more discussion." His face falls into one of cold fury. "No more smiling." Aria takes a step forward and Jasper waves his hand at her, forcing her to her knees almost idly."Have you heard the story, about the Emperor and the Dragon, Jamal?" He says calmly. Jamal doesn't answer."No? It's a good story. Once there was a Dragon, and an Emperor. The Emperor came to the dragon, and he demanded that it kneel. The Dragon knelt, not because it was afraid of the Emperor but because resisting would be more troublesome then simply kneeling."He rose up to his full height, magic crackling over his skin. "And then the Emperor demanded the Dragon let him ride it. The Dragon did so, because again, it was easier to obey then to resist." He held out a hand towards Jamal, practically glowing with energy now."But then the Emperor asked the Dragon to die for him, for the Emperor was afraid of the Dragon's power. Do you know what the Dragon did then, Jamal?" The Inquisitor didn't answer."It ate the Emperor. Do you know what the moral of the story is?" Jasper twitched his hand, the raw magic shooting out in a wide conical blast of lightning. The section of the podium where Jamal was standing was reduced to ash, Jamal included. "Emperors should not bother Dragons." Jasper finishes coldly.Aria lets out an angry roar and attempts to charge but you manage to trip her with a bolt of Force.Jasper turns around slowly, to crouch down next to her. "Tell the Emperor... tell him the Dragon is awake. Be a good girl, won't you?">Actions?
>>26850163For a freaking sword? What is it a broadsword?
>>26850163fine, telekenisis her hand to punch jamal in the dick. or just not move. either way swords are a nono.
>>2685016334 lbs of force is enough to knock something out of someones hand.and even if it doesn't, it's precious seconds she isn't using the sword.
Hand on Jaspar's shoulder, telekinesis adding 24 pounds of weight to the tip of her sword,Verbally rip into the blatent power play and why it is a bad thing for the empire
>>26850198"Did we just...declare war on the Empire?"
>>26850198well that escalated quickly. we could do something crazy/fun here, and once we are powerful enough turn on the mage order. The apprentice must always try and beat the Master, it is the way of the Sith.plus, that was an unnecessary kill, I'm kinda afraid of jasper.
>>26850198The archmagister is totally Yandere for us.>actions"Well, that was easy. What now, Archmagister?"
>>26850230yep, time to become War Mage now
>>26850230This. No pointless posturing. We may have "helped" during that fight, but Jasper was in control pretty much the entire time it seems. Maybe ask what this could mean for the Academy.
>>26850198WHELP OKAY THEN, JASPER HAS A VERY SERIOUS SIDE TO HIM.There's nothing really for us to do except let this play out.
>>26850198"Alright archy! Lets get this ceremony started!"
>>26850264>>26850278I feel like the archmagister has spent a long time taking the empire's bullshit and this is basically him venting. He also seems to know Jamal personally, so I'm sure he had a good reason for frying the bastard.
Rolled 72>>26850198We strong.
>>26850198Is she leaving? Or is she just sitting there? It's like. Shhiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeettttttttttttttttt. I think Jasper may literally be a dragon, what with the Zalgo and shit and the stuff at the beginning of the quest about speculations.
>>26850264Dude. Jamal was a cunt and Jasper just saved us from getting tortured / executed. He's a bro. Scary bro, but a bro nonetheless.
Rolled 69>>26850198"Tell the Emperor I said to go eat a dick."
>>26850264>that was an unnecessary killThe archmagister announced that he was taking an apprentice, and right after Jamal decided to accuse us of high treason for no other reason than "lol, we said so" and acted hostile once Jasper didn't bend over backwards and take it immediately, after a pretty lengthy history of magisters being quiet about their best students being assasinated.Jamal went full retard
>>26850264Unecessary? They have been murdering students for a long time.I say it's about bloody time
>>26850342We were always going to try to take power, man. It's just the way of the world.
>>26850342THE SITH WAY. also, we need to see if demons have some kind of everburning fire magic... maybe we could use force to hold it in a shape... perhaps a sword.. NO I'M NOT BEING CHEESYI mean eventually I could see this getting out of hand, and this guy going for absolute power, and does Terrorcastle trust a non-Terrorcastle at the seat of power?
>>26850278>>26850284>>26850277The entire Hall is silent. The Archmagister just killed a high ranking Imperial official in front of the entire Academy, admittedly one that may or may not have had it coming."...Well. Well!" He turns to look at everyone's shocked faces. "... This kind of puts a damper on the celebrations." A banner unfurls behind him, confetti and streamers being released from their places in the rafters.'CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW APPRENTICE!' can easily be read in large bright letters."... I don't suppose anyone still wants cake?" He asks, almost hopefully. The entire crowd of four hundred or so students of varying seniority have no idea how to react. Neither do the Magisters.>React?
>>26850412Just sigh and mutter curses under your breath.
>>26850412Party time bitches.sidenote, somebody should roll for debautchery
>>26850412"...More for me then."
>>26850412Get some cake obviously
>>26850412Stay quiet and eat cake.
>>26850412I could REALLY use some cake right now
>>26850412Wave at the audience awkwardly.
>>26850412Jesus shit that was fucking brutal as hell god damn more metal than a metal elemental from the plane of eternal shredding.
>>26850443>>26850435>>26850440I doubt this is the time to be silly. Let the magisters handle this one.
>>26850412Tell a bad joke and get some cake
>>26850412"Hey guys check it out" summon succubus. Because after that why the fuck not
>>26850412Stare at the Archmagister. "What?"
>>26850412Do >>26850444 and then say that we could go for some cake.
>>26850412"some cake sounds nice, any ice creme?"
>>26850412No, seriously. This question needs to be asked. We're his apprentice, and we've agreed to back him on whatever comes next.We gotta ask what the fuck just happened, and did we just declare war on the Empire.
>>26850478>Because after that why the fuck notBinding DC of 160. Still over 100 with all our perks.
>>26850412It's cake time
>>26850492Yes. We did. Kinda obvious.
>>26850510the cake is a lie
>>26850492This. Take this seriously. We may have triggered war just now.
>>26850412Trying to be funny in this situation would make us look very bad.Doesn't mean we can't eat cake, though
>>26850517We don't really know that, though. This sort of thing could happen every year.
>>26850412We're walking on some pretty thin icing here aren't we? But I want a slice of the action next time
>>26850498So? The arch magister is there. What is he going to do? Kick us out?
>>26850412shellshocked and then mechanically mention that someone should collect the remains of the antimagic device for further study, We're probably going to need that information later. Thank Jaspar. Sit down and mechanically eat cake.
>>26850537Dude... he just killed the guy accusing us of treason and then told the other chick to go tell the emperor "Jasper is going to kill you."
>>26850460>note to self, check elemental book see if we can summon a metal elemental made of diamonds and a wall of iron...OP pic related is our reaction face for what just happened.
>>26850435>>26850440>>26850442>>26850443Jasper coughs into his hand, looking a little embarassed despite everything. "Um... well... there's... food and things and uh... yeah..." You wave awkwardly at the crowd before turning to the Archmagister."I could go for some cake." Ranafiel picks Aria up and hauls her onto his shoulder, heading off silently to... do something with her you guess. Jasper nods, and waves his hand at the doors - they swing open to reveal several long buffet tables laden with food. "Go on, eat! We'll uh, discuss this. Later. Probably. You can return to your dorms if you prefer."Everyone slowly mills out to eat, muttering about what just happened. You stick close to Jasper. "... Does this mean we're at war with the Empire?" You mumble, grabbing a slice of cake for yourself.Jasper glances around. "... Almost definitely." You can see some of the other Magisters talking to the students. Fayleve is putting on a show. "Hopefully we can keep everyone calm for now until we figure out what's going to happen next." He mutters around a mouthful of cake.Looks like your Academy life just got a whole lot more interesting.>And that's it for now folks!>See you next time, on Academy Quest! (To be scheduled - please check my twitter for further details).

>>26850568Yeah, and? Let's not forget that we live in a magical asylum staffed by a crazy arcmage, a narcoleptic seer, an alchemist who occasionally accidentally destroys sections of the school, a man who refuses to ever step to the side in lieu of simply destroying everything in his path, a (probably) lich, and a creature from another, poorly understood plane of existence. This sort of shit could happen every goddamn year.

Man I can't believe it's already over. I guess I should get back to work then...
>>26850748but... i just got out of bed to make food to stay up ;(
>>26850657>????: ????Still wondering what that is. Kinda hoping it's something that lets us control way more summons than normal. Something like 1 summon per 4 levels of summoning, instead of the usual 10.That would be ballin.
>>26850964I think it's related to why our Necromancy and Domination skills are 5 instead of the base 10.
>>26851120But the + and - from perks add on to the base stats afterwards. They aren't the reason that some of them are lower. We get a bonus of 30 to destruction, 2 to Abjuration, 0 to Alchemt&Enchantment, -4 to healing, etc.Base then perks.
>>26850681no clue if hell see this, anyway we can change telekenisis to 2d(half our force) or the choice between 1d100 and 2d50 for complex? id rather average things out rather than end up failing to hold a lantern with a 1 and setting everything on fire
>>26852106can we change*
