>Previous threads can be found here: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Bioweapon%20Quest>Welcome to Bioweapon quest, a game which is (mostly) about small scale tactical combat, and getting deadlier.>Don't be afraid to jump in if you are new!You are a creature of simple desires. You desire to eat things. With every delicious thing you eat you grow, morph and change.>But before we jump into the quest proper, there have been a few changes.
>I've done a revision of the biomorph system to make it a little more clear, give incentives for size modification and in preparation for future things. Mostly breeding.>Mostly everything is the same, but there have been a few minor changes: -Your teeth are now just standard teeth, no more fancy metal lacing. -Your ability to eat metals is due to your corrosive saliva, which makes metals soft and pliable. Your limbs have been slightly restructured. -Knowledge has been split into practical and misc categories. Practical knowledges have gameplay benefits, and misc do not, but may still be useful. Spending a kill on Knowledge should always give you at least one practical knowledge ability.>There is a list of known biomorphs here: http://pastebin.com/3FuwK5Fs>Currently Expressed biomorphs are listed below.>Biomorphs can be either Expressed or Repressed. Only Expressed biomorphs have any affect on your current form. You can Shift to change what is Expressed or Repressed.>When you eat a delicious creature you have killed, you can choose one biomorph from a list of options (usually three) to gain. It will be assumed that this biomorph is Expressed, unless you ask to Repress it. In addition to gaining a biomorph, you can either: A) Heal some damage, B) Recharge a bioweapon, or C) Shift biomorphs.
>You may request specific traits from the creatures you are trying to kill, and they can appear in the list of choices. However, for the sake of keeping things moving, you may not get something unlisted after a vote has been called unless there is overwhelming support for it.>If something isn't in your list of Biomorphs, then you don't really have it. Current examples include: Skull, Hair and Electrosense.>Creative use of biomorphs is encouraged!>As always, suggestions for future biomorphs, or even interesting creatures you want to eat are always encouraged. I have a large list, but you're eating your way through it rather rapidly. You are a hungry creature. You may have just eaten two moth-like creatures and a telephone, but you're still craving more delicious things. You are standing on one of the floors about halfway up the skyscraper, in an office full of cubicles.Your creator has asked you to find a man on the highest floor of the building you are in, but she also asked you to take your time, and then burst into laughter as you ate the phone she was talking to you from. You aren't sure what that was about, but you suspect it's to do with her not-quite-deliciousness. Your creator has promised you a rare delicious creature if you eat the man she wants. You also know that there are more delicious things in this building on other floors and that you are rather hungry.>What do you do?
You have my attention~Nice to see you and your quest back around here, Toque.
>>26340685This, the only complaint I have about this quest is that it isn't around often enough!
>>26340685Seconding this opinion.
>>26340667Let's head in the general direction of "up" then. Go through either the vents or - if we can no longer fit into the vents - an elevator shaft.
>>26340635Hooray! Bioweapon Quest returns!
>>26340667Oh, and->Seek out more delicious things, in an >>26340756>upwards direction.
>>26340667>Suggest interesting creatures...Armadillo man. I'm going full Megaman on this shit bro
>>26340756Vents or shaft. If it goes up, we want in on it.
>>26340635Now following 3 quests at the same time.Despite the fact that I have an interview for a job tomorrow.WHELP, I GUESS I'M NOT SLEEPING
>>26340667We know how many people are in the building right? lets hunt any remaining employees before ascending further
You clamber up into a nearby ventilation duct. It's a tight fit, and much harder to move in then it used to be. You don't think you can turn around in the vents without finding an intersection, or a place where the narrow vents widen. You also find that the scales and lack of feathers make your passage much more noisy, with a lot of scraping. You eventually find a large central ventilation shaft, that ges vertically up and down. A strong breeze flows from above, and you push against it, travelling up the building, holding yourself to the walls with your suckers. After some climbing your suckers are beginning to hurt from supporting your increased mass for so long, but you catch a smell of something. Something delicious. A few floors later and you're able to descern that there are scents coming from a few different places on the same floor.Down one path there is the smell of sweat, and you can hear voices. From the other direction you can smell something odd. It could be delicious, but you're not sure. How strange.
>>26341094go towards the sweat. current list of biomorphs?
>>26341094>Investigate delicious things! Carefully, of course. Locate the most isolated source of the scent.
>>26341094investigate the oddness first!
>>26341094Let's scuttle over to the smell of sweat. We're big now, so we can probably over power them if it's just some fleshbags doing the nasty
>>26341094investigate oddness if there isn't anything else close to it.
>>26341124>The list of biomorphs is getting too big to post in a single /tg/ post due to the 1500 character limit. Ideally I'd be able to post it in an image, but I've not had time to do that yet. Also I'm bad at making sexy looking tables. >The list in list form is at the bottom of the pastebin linked in the second post, or here again: http://pastebin.com/3FuwK5Fs
You decide to go after the thinks you know are delicious. After all, they could stop being delicious at any time and that wouldn't be good at all.You clamber into the ventilation going in the right direction, and follow your sensitive feelers as they point the way towards the delicious scents. After a few twists and turns you come across a grate, which looks out to another office from high on a wall. This office is sparcer the the one with the winged creatures and has many thin walls seperating rooms. Chairs and potted plants line the corridoors, and you can see mountains of papers on every desk, through the glass internal windows. From on of the offices you can see two shadows on frosted glass. One is standing, pacing back and forth, the other appears to be sitting. You hear one loud voice, followed by a much quieter murmer. You could try to get closer in the vents, but they might hear you.>How do you approach these delicious things?
>>26341422listen and wait for now
>>26341422Let us approach. If they hear us, just as well! We will spring attack them with our mighty bulk.
Exit the vents and approach through the office space.
You give the vent in front of you a powerful shove, and knock the thing right off it's bearings. You slip out, and scrabble through the maze of offices towards the sounds."-not fair!"The other voice replies."I came here specifically because of your minority hiring policy. Are you saying that that's been thrown out the window? I'm clearly being discriminated against! You slip closer, hiding behind a padded chair outside the adjacent office. The lights are rather bright here, and to go closer is to risk detection."I can assure you that isn't the case. We have a conclusive policy, and the grounds for your jobs termination are personal, not racial.""That's a lie and you know it!"
>>26341702Ooh, Xeno-racism. Wait and listen in!
>>26341702Even tasty flesh isn't as delicious as tasty gossip! Keep listening.
>>26341702lets wait abit and see if one of them will leave or get distracted
>>26341702Can we tell anything about their races? And which one is sweating? Also can we attack and devour?
>>26341804We must eat the racist one. ...And then the other one. Equality!
>>26341804>You can attack and devour whenever you like. There's only a few metres and a sheet of glass in the way. Or the door, I suppose, if you're being sensible."You can be assured that we do not discriminate based on any racial, social or alien reasoning. However, I can't ignore that you accidentally spat all over three years of archives because someone startled you. It's a clear indication of character, and unless we can some to some sort of arrangement we're going to have to let you go.""But you can't send me back off to Heich Are, they'll demote me to the testing laboratory! I can't do that!"One of the creatures smells aquatic, the other like a plains creature. Both seem to be sweating, almost as if they are afraid. Do they know you're here? The pacing figure stops infront of the other. You notice that it appears to have multiple limbs. The other one seems rather stocky."Look, Gerald, I've been working for you for three years now. Isn't there something you can do?""I'm sorry, this is coming from above me. You put a delay on The Boss' new pet project."The standing one sits down.
>>26341912Knock on the door. Up where a larger creature would naturally reach. And then, when someone opens the door, we pounce and inject them with poison, before moving on to the other.
>>26341940I like this plan.
>>26341940>>26341912Considering this plan, attack the first one to open the door, presumably we're strong enough to take them on hand to hand now, and then go for the second using Hyper Reflexes though
>>26341940>>26341979sounds like we have a plan here
>>26341979>>26341940Thirding this plan.
>>26341940>Knock then poison! (then work from there.)>Roll me 1d100!
>>26342047Uh...can we use this anon, instead of mine?
You scrabble up to the door, all six limbs digging their claws into the carpet. When you get to the door you push yourself upright, staggering a little before you grab onto the miniature palm tree that sits in a ceramic pot beside the door. You bang on the door, just above the little metal plate with the black lines on it.You hear the calm voice speak, "Excuse me a moment."The figure from the desk walks over to the door, which opens to reveal a solidly built grey skinned creature with short tusks and large ears. A horacian, you remember from a past meal."Can I help-"You let go of the plant, and jam your mandibles into the creatures chest, burying your fangs into its blubber and pumping a dose of neurotoxin into it. The creature swipes at you with wicked claws, scratching your scales and tearing a number of them off. You force the creature back, pushing it away before dropping down to your familiar four legged stance. You eye the creature as it tries to stand. The pause is interrupted when you are hit in the face with a viscious black fluid. It drips slowly from you. It permeates your sensory antennae, smelling rather foul.
Rolled 37>>26342269go for the spitter use hyper reflex and go for the head or throat, use smell to find if we're blind
>>26342269Huh...can we still see? It didn't get our eyes did it?If so, Hyper Reflexes to bite into Octoman!
Rolled 70>>26342269jump blindly to the left, attempt to find the origin of the fluids
Rolled 16>>26342269Crap, jump towards the source of the spit, and attack. I doubt Octo man will have any knives, and he probably just peed himself for his species.
>>26342269>Also, please roll 1d100 for actions in combat!

Rolled 65>>26342440do a barrel roll
>Neurotoxin [1/2]You shake your head, and thankfully the inky mess on your face mostly is flung off. You leap toward the many limbed thing, which you see to be another cephalopod, though slightly different to the one you have eaten before."You are a delicious descerner of species!" You cry. The creature looks confused, wiggling its many limbs. You activate your Hyper Reflexes, and watch the creature writhe about in slow motion as you close with it. You slash at its upper body with your claws, and watch as its tentacles close around your forelimbs. There's so many of them that they're impossible to avoid as they grab both of your limbs and hold them tight.Pain lances through your leg as a clawed hand grabs you from behind. The world begins to speed up again.>Hyper reflexes [1/2]>Roll 1d100 for whatever you choose to do!
Rolled 75>>26342560Wiggle our fuzzy antennae! And then spit poison in it's face!
Rolled 9>>26342560well. crap. We need to get rid of at least one opponant.Jump up to stun it by bashing into the ceiling and then poison the thing grasping us.

>>26342605>>26342596red, stop rolling.>>26342574spitting poison at its face to disrupt it, then leaping at it, dragging our heavy passenger in our wake
it doesn't count I wasn't linking his post and I had already rolled!
>>26342648>Don't be so silly. You wiggle your antennae, still coated in thick ink, at the creature in what you think is a menacing manner. Its eyes open wide. While you do this you stick your mandibles into your mouth and squirt a dose of poison out. It tastes acrid, and stings a little, but you know it can't hurt you. With a hacking cough, you fling the mixture of poison and bile at the things open eyes. There is a sizzle, and the creature recoils with a squeal, releasing your forelimbs and spraying a lot of thick ink in a puddle below it.You kick at the creature behind you, but only hit something padded. The thing pulls you towards it, clawing you hand over hand. You turn to face it, just as a fist collides with your squishy head. The thing hits you again, and the world seems to spin as your brain takes nearly the full force of the impact. The grey skinned beast swipes at you with its claws again, as you realise that the thick skin and fat that covers the creature is slowing the spread of poison, making it have a much reduced effect. Your feelers are swiped clean off, and deep gouges are scored in your scales. You are leaking fluids from your head, puncture wounds down your body, and from your leg, where the thing still has a good grip.>Roll 1d100 for whatever you do!
Rolled 42>>26342750go batshit crazy a
Rolled 19>>26342750crap got to end this quick, use hyper reflex again and go straight for the throat.
>>26342750Whoa why is our head so squishy? We need a thick fucking skull like that elephantman after this
Wait, we don't have a braincase? Shit, we need to get that ASAP!

Rolled 95>>26342750>>26342877Go for the eyes, boo, go for the eyes!
>Thrown Spit [1/2]>Deadly Neurotoxin [0/2]You writhe as pain courses through your body from the stumps of your feelers. All those new sensory information is replaced by feelings of hot fire. You claw and swipe at the thing, digging deep into its body, flesh and fat, scraping ribbons from it in wild fury. You hear a shatter from behind you, and out of the corner of your eyes you can just make out the frosted glass wall shattering, through the remnants of the muck which clings to your face. The thing raises a fist to slam it into your face again, but you were ready. Watching in slow motion as he pulls back you drop down, twisting your leg free from its grasp with a spurt of blood and flesh, then leap upwards. You bash away its tusks with your muscular wings, forcing its head up, and dig your forlimbs into its neck, gouging at vital blood pipes and air tubes. You claw away for a few seconds, before the thing collapses heavily, face-tube coiling and uncoiling.>Hyper reflexes [0/2]You are hungry. You are in pain.
Look around for the squid. See where its at and kill it before eating both of these creatures.
Kill and eat

>>26342938Find that damn Octopie
Rolled 90>>26342938>>26342986This. Hunt down the octopus and eat it, it can't have gotten far.
Rolled 88>>26342938get the octopus. if he isnt dead, find him and kill him, consume him, then eat the elephant. get a sutiable skeleton from the elephant. do our arms have bones, or do the muscles just work off each other?
>>26343066>Your arms are exoskeletal, powered by muscle. It's too thin to offer much protection, but you do have scales. You glance around for the multi-limbed sack of delicious, but it isn't visible. A trail of ink and ichor leads through the shattered glass and down the corridor, before turning a corner. You follow the trail, leaving your own as you limping slightly as you use your wings for extra balance. You find the creature a short distance away, crawling towards what seems like a dead end, with only a cabinet with a large red patch with black lines on the otherwise beige wall. The thing sees you and squeaks, before raising its tentacles and spurting more ink at you. The glob flies wide, splattering against a wall clock. It gurgles a little as it corrects its aim.>Roll 1d100 for whatever you do.

>>26343229>Oh shit, I bet that's an alarm! Tackle it and feast on it's body before it has a chance to hit the button!Oh god i just got her, but stealth kill go!
Rolled 30>>26343145rush in, bite off it's head and THEN FEAST!
You pounce, not toward the creature but at an angle, then bounce off the wall and onto the other, zig zagging across the corridor as ink flies past, coating a photocopier at the far end of the hall. The meatsack corrects and aims right where you are going to land, but you unfurl your wings, and flip yourself up onto the roof, holding there for a moment before launching yourself at the thing. The force of your impact knocks the creature back into the cabinet, knocking the door open. Your mandibles strike true as you bite into the things soft and squishy body, severing limbs which twist and coil on the ground. A beak snaps at you, but you hold it off as you keep biting away.Soon enough the thing has stopped wriggling and its eyes, red and inflamed, go vacant. It is dead.Inside the cabinet you see a coil of fabric with metal at both ends, a lot of pipes and levers and a closed box attached to the wall. You are hungry. You are in pain. You smell cupcakes in the autumn rain.
>>26343341Consume the creature!
>>26343341>Inside the cabinet you see a coil of fabric with metal at both ends, a lot of pipes and levers and a closed box attached to the wall.He was going for the fire hose?anyway, CONSUME

>>26343412nope, we gotta heal. We're pretty beat.
You shove the things wriggling tendrils in your mouth, then drag its body back to the other. You look around for any metal to eat, but all you can find are thin sheets that make up boxes of blinking lights. You smell roses and oil. There might be enough to heal you, but it would take a lot of time to find it all.You begin devouring the two delicious things, shoving their bits into your maw as you leak fluids around.>Pick one of:>Skull - Protect that brain!>Tusks - Good for charging and bashing!>Ears cartilage - Give a directional sense to your hearing!>Upright posture - Stand tall and proud! >That glorious consensusYou finish eating and sit atop the shattered glass amongst the muck, a mix of ink, blood and other fluids as your body twists and reshapes.Your scales heal and reform and your leg stops hurting. Your antennae regrow a little, but remain as fuzzy stumps. You smell horses, fresh from a run. They mostly stop hurting, but you aren't sure you can trust them.>One of your biomorphs has been Crippled, meaning it has a weakened or unreliable effect. Further healing may restore it.Your reflexes twinge, refreshed. >Hyper reflexes [2/2]You feel a thick bone cage form around your brain, granting your brain protection from blows and wounds. >>26344207Can we have partial fills? Like, can we eat what we can find now, and then eat more later for a heal?
>>26344289>For the sake of my bookkeeping, I'm going to say no. Sorry. I already have a lot of things to keep track of on this end.You go off in search of the maybe-delicious thing from before. You follow your nose to find it, but end up upside down in a cupboard, with nothing but a jar of tea.Deciding that you're not going to trust your sense of smell for a little, you cautiously explore the rest of the level on foot. After searching for a time, you come across a large open room on the other side of the central elevators, furnished with a reception desk and a few potted plants. In the middle of the room sits a huge orange ball, all fluff and tangles. You are entirely unsure of if it is delicious or not.
Rolled 94>>26344463walk up to it, ask if it knows where something delicious is

You walk up to the thing, which seems to be expanding and contracting slowly."Do you know where something delicious is?"The thing burbles at you with a high pitch voice, almost giggling. You estimate it is easily three times bigger then you are. It smells of tomatoes. You are hungry.

You back away from the thing. It remains stationary, except for the slow rise and fall of its shape. You slink back towards it, and nip at it, pulling thick tangled fur into your mouth. It clogs up your mandibles and teeth, and you don't seem to be making any progress through the thick layer of fluff.

You give it a few pats and the mass seems to shiver as the creature trills. You know consult your knowledge of the occupants of the building. This creature is listed as an employee, under the category of 'greeter'. Rolled 45>>26345165>inb4 we hit the alarm and fuck everything up as usual
Rolled 6>>26345165Comon brain!
>>26345165its an alarm........ just saying......
>>26345165Why figure it out?Take a big goddamn bite out of the piping!
Rolled 66>>26345272Yep. This whole thing is a constant trainwreck in slow motion. We heal too easily, is the problem. No sense of threat, so we never learn that rushing is doesn't work.
You grab at a few levers and pull them, and you hear a rush of water in the walls. The fabric expands rapidly, filling with water. The hose flies off the hook, flailing about as it fills with high pressure water, spraying all over the office, over you and over the orange furry ball. The weighted metal end of the hose hits you in the head, then recoils and collides with your leg, bruising you twice. You grab at the hose, holding it on the floor, and work your way around down its length until you hold the tip in your mandibles. Then it is short walk back to the fuzzy blob and you direct the jet at it, hosing it down throughly. The thing squeaks and trills at you as it collapses to less then half its volume, under the heavy matting of fluff. You dig into the creature's layers and layers of damp fur, which sticks together. You find it much easier to cut with your mandibles and teeth. As you get deeper you realise that the IS something delicious here, in the centre. Something tiny and tasty.A few more layers later and you see it, a tiny little bear-like creture, with short fuzzy fur and long bright hair coiling out from the top of its head, twisting into the greater mass of its body. It reaches out with arms wide, trying to grab at your face. It squints at you, and bares its teeth. It looks Delicious. You are hungry.
Rolled 95>>26345345Mandible its face! If it's tiny enough, maybe we can get the entire head in a single nom!
Rolled 16>>26345345eat the bear thing with a glandular problem
Rolled 8>>26345345That thing is adorable! And deadly!LETS PROCREATE WITH IT
Rolled 39>>26345345nom nom nom retard bear
>>26345345well im glad i was wrong EAT FUZZY WUZZY
You push your head up close to the tiny thing, which wraps its arms around your head, trying to crush you. However its feelble strenght is nothing compared to the might of your bone skull. With a lightning fast motion you dart back and snap your mandibles forwards, eating the thing whole. It trills as you crush the things pathetic weak bones and its organs leak between your teeth. It tastes delicious.>Pick one of:>High visibility colouration - Stand out in a crowd!>Long hair - Luxurious volume! Boundless strength! Antioxidants!>Lilting voice - Like angels and cupcakes had a baby, that could play the harp!>Heal(bruised head, leg, crippled antennae), recharge biomorph(which one) or shift (from what to what)?
Rolled 6>>26345564see, we got nothing good from it. heal antennae. can we not absorb anything? or can we absorb the ability to go smaller than our original form?
>>26345564Wow, it's fucking nothing.I dunno, I guess the voice, maybe? It's the least worthless or damaging.Heal.
>>26345564voice and heal
>>26345564Can we choose to heal, and then recharge a biomorph, instead of choosing one heal and one evolution?
>>26345564>Lifting VoiceYes. YES. YEEEEEES>HealI have a feeling this alien was so Toque could make us adorable again somehow.
Rolled 48>Lilting voice - Like angels and cupcakes had a baby, that could play the harp!>Heal(bruised head, leg, crippled antennae), recharge biomorph(which one) or shift (from what to what)?
>>26345624I concur. Knowledge.And heal.
Rolled 44>>26345564lilting voice heal antennae
>>26345582>Nothing usefulIt's not all about power fantasy anon. We like to have our own share of adorable fun in this quest about mutant monsters with an unquenchable thirst for sentience.
>Nobody wants to take High Vis. as a Repressed biomorph to make your offspring stand out and find them when they get lost.>Fine, fine.Your vocal chords stretch and thin. You have a new voice to speak in!Your bruises heal, and your antennae grow longer. You now can't smell anything.Satisfied with a tasty snack, you exit the damp ball of fur and scuttle back off to the elevators.>You now know the Tiny size category!>Tiny creatures are great at hiding, but lack the biomass to express very many biomorphs. Maximum twenty (20) biomorphs may be active at a time. Maximum two (2) biomorphs on each pair of limbs. <FREE>>[End of thread!]>I hope we all had fun. I spent way too long prepping stuff, so I apologise for the delay.>Next thread soonish!>Did anyone actually read the rules update? Any comments?
>>26345783I did read the rules update.I also wrote a thing. A smutty thing.http://pastebin.com/BfHMRpF9
>>26344076>I completely forgot to reply to this, due to other things happening at the time.>There are certain mechanical difficulties to the idea, but you think it will work, if you manage to do it.
>>26345783If we make it easier to find them ourselves then so to will it be easier for our enemy to find them as well. We got to figure out sneaky and clever way to do it first. As for the rules yes this anon read it and I will try to come up with some monster ideas...would some refurbished homebrew fantasy monsters work by any chance?
>>26345845If our body is still snake like it would be easy to pull off.
>>26345783Well, I imagine we're going to link our children with us psionically before we have too many so...that's why I didn't consider that. Also, we can go tiny mode now for free?! Whoa that will be really handy should things go to hell and we need to hide!
Rolled 14>>26345845will the Creator do the honours for us and get us something with a long, flexible stinger? a suggestion, if we do do the broodmother. on the same thread, ensure its a fade to black, or at least dont go too /d/. also, thanks for running this, no matter what happens
>>26345783And yes OP, I read all of the hard work you put into the Biomorph list and I appreciate it. It makes understanding what we have a lot easier now. Thank you.I look forward to the next thread already. One of the best Quests on tg, definitely.
>>26345845Yay, we're one step closer...Also, how about that Armadillo person idea? I want armor plating damn it!
>>26345968>You have scales. Does that count?>I have an idea which should come up soon...
Rolled 2>>26345839sinfully excellent. continue. anything else youve written?
>>26345949>One thing I would like to do is put the currently active biomorph list into picture format, so I can add it with the second post. Does anyone know of any way to do this easily, so that it can be edited again later?>I don't think MSpaint is up to the job...
>>26345993It's not enough. I want to be a tank before this is over with. like those things from Xcom with spider legs that inject soldiers with their larva as a instant kill.
>>26346052Yeah, GIMP works pretty well for simple stuff.
>>26346027I've written a few things, but Toque's the one we're here for, not me.I should be continuing, though.
>>26345839>Hen Tie EeYou're a horrible horrible man. It's awesome
