>Previous quests can be found at http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Sky+Sons>I'll post reminders, updates, and apologies at https://twitter.com/RingSpeakerThe time has come to lead the noble Sky Sons into legend and glory, friends. Gather around the speaking stone, and show us the wisdom that will make our tribe into kings of Dragon Pass. It's only by your might and your leadership that we will succeed against enemy tribes, evil monsters, and the very land itself. Come, and see the tale unfold before you of the Sky Sons!>What is King of Dragon's Pass, you weird person?King of Dragon's Pass is a PC game from 2000. In King of Dragon's Pass, or KoDP, you play as a single tribe of celt/nordic bronze age warriors as they settle, colonize, tame, and eventually dominate a foreign land. In this version of /tg/ Plays, I'll run the game for you all, and I'll carry out the actions that you tell me to in the game, then report back with the results. You can be a part of the complete victory or tragic defeat of a tribe made by /tg/ itself, the Sky Sons!
>>26335235When we last left the Sky Sons, things had been improving dramatically. Our herds are thicker this year than in the last, good trade relations were established, battles were won, and most importantly, the ring's own Fantarl completed the hero quest to honor Grim Humakt, the God of Death. While a few positive turns aren't enough to right everyone's mood, things are improving as time goes by.Now is Sea Season, the time when the cottars and carls work the fields and sow the seeds of later harvest. A full raid in this time is folly, and deprives the clan of necessary food. However, we do have time that we can spend to improve the status of the Sky Sons: What should we do?
Well the defenses of the Sky Sons are starting to be in pretty good order, though I don't know what the good ratio of weaponthanes to total population is. Perhaps we should consider a shrine, or is it too early for one?
>>26335405The council ring agrees that we have sufficient weaponthanes for now; with the Truesword blessing from Humakt, they're a rather powerful force to reckon with. The only rituals we know that aren't being provided by a shrine right now are Uralda's Calf Blessing and Odayla's Tracking. The former will make our cows give many more foals, while the latter will aid us when exploring Dragon Pass.Do recall that we did not give magic to Mysteries this year, so learning new secrets will require significant sacrifice.
If we had a sudden increase in cattle population, would we have enough people to care for them? Or to ask in a different way, do we have enough cattle in proportion to our population?
>>26335595If there was a drastic surge in population, we might need more herders. However, we have space aplenty that we could clear for pastures for them, and cows we couldn't care for could easily become sacrifices or traded to nearby clans.
Since the clan doesn't have any pressing matters to attend to, this would be a good opportunity to put up a shrine for Uralda's.
>>26335498Be careful not to build too many shrines or we'll kill all the sheep! FOREVER!
>>26335321>those numbers>a dramatic improvementYikes. You guys must have been straight fucked.
>>26335837In the early days, some hotheaded clansmen really tried their best to destroy us with a string of failed raids.
>>26335880>String of failed raidsNo you faggot, it was ONE failed raid.
>>26335749Our god-talkers swiftly construct a shrine to Uralda. The cottars say the cows immediately became more docile and happy afterwards. After completion of the shrine, one of our younger women approaches the ring with a Peluski in tow. While we are feuding with the Peluski tribe, few hold as much rage and hatred towards them as the Vostangs. This woman, Iganna, has undergone a blood rite to bind herself to the Peluski woman, named Orngerin. These two stand before the council ring, and ask us to do the same with the Peluski clan as a whole. Many favor peace, or at least acknowledging this rite. Arene seems ready to continue hating the Peluskis, while our lawkeeper, Kulbrast objects to this rite as it is not part of our laws. What is the will of the clan?>>26335837>>26335880Getting raided twice in Dark Season on top of a poor omen made for a terrible second year, too. If it wasn't for that heroquest and completing last year's challenge from the gods, I dunno if the Sky Sons would still be around.
>>26335498We have a shrine to Elmal too, no?
>>26335978Oh my god its Forbidden Love.We must support them.
>>26335978>Cottars>Dealing in cowsFuckin' uppity gits. That's Carl work!
>>26336028We do have a shrine to our patron, the Guardian of the Stead. It provides us with the Steadfast ritual.>>26336047Yeah, should have said carl. I apologize profusely; sometimes I get terms mixed up.
>>26335978I don't recall the Peluskis raiding us in the past. They're far away and continuing a feud against them is dangerous and expensive. If we can resolve our feud with them, it will enable us to focus more attention on the hated Vostangi. The vile, evil Vostangi. The murderous, traitorous, ungodly, stickpicker Vostangi!
>>26336092 It's okay, Cottars and Carls both suck so it's fine to mix them up
>>26335978This needs some consideration. On one hand, having less enemies standing to raid us in earnest would always be a good thing. On the other, the rite is not in our laws and might set a negative precedent.
>>26336092Oooh, I thought you were saying Shrines we had not rituals we know without shrines. My bad, sir. I was confused why the hell we'd have a shrine to Odyala at this point, blessing be upon his name.
>>26336133Having considered this at length, I support making peace with the Peluskis.
Do the rite, our goal eventually is feud resolution. Unless some strange twist of fate befalls us, this can only bring us closer with the Peluski.
>>26336100Indeed, we haven't even seen Peluskis on our tula before Orngerin was brought to us.
>>26336133We could say we will think about what they said, and then attempt to end the feud another time without taking the ritual into official consideration. However, on the other hand this will give us a free chance to attempt it without wasting time or resources. I say we attempt to make peace now via Political Marriage, for which there IS precedent.
>>26336030>>26336100>>26336184>>26336205>>26336207Truly the Sky Sons are a balanced clan: Forceful in combat thanks to the veneration of Humakt, but also willing to bring peace with other clans.Though, we must be careful in how we make peace; there's been one call for a marriage to seal our relations with the Peluski, though Fantarl assures us that we could sue for peace thanks to our might. Are there any objections to a marriage?
So I haven't taken the time to read previous threads, you haven't fucked with the ducks right?
>>26336282We just negotiated a trade agreement with them. Other clans may sneer at us for consorting with inhumans, but the Sky Sons know to give the elder races respect.
>>26336282We're actually pretty friendly with the ducks. Out of all the clans in Dragon Pass, they probably like us the most. Even our Allies don't pay us as much favor as the weird duck people.
>>26336275Hmmm... Sueing for peace due to our might would be nice, but it would be starting things off on the wrong foot. Although they are far enough away for it to hardly matter, if successful. On the other hand, Political marriage may not be something they would agree too, but if successful costs us little and creates a powerful bond.
>>26336275We are a righteous clan, so demanding payment for no reason does not befit us nor do honour to our ancestors - it would be a different matter if they had a history of raiding us. Political marriage it is.
>>26336444>>26336207It seems the promise of a Sky Son for a wife is not enough for the Peluskis. However, Iganna and Orngerin are satisfied that we recognized their bond, and that we attempted peace. Perhaps an end to the feud can be negotiated later.
>>26336562Bah, I had suspected as much.We should have demanded tribute, our strength is better than our negotiation abilities.
>>26336562The days are still warm, but not the scorching heat to come in Fire Season. Farmhands populate the fields, sowing the grain that will feed the tribe when snow blankets the land.A few weaponthanes could accompany Ernaldess to explore the tula or a nearby region with little travel time. Or we could send Valensta off to trade for silver. Whatever the council desires, I will make sure it is enacted.
>>26336596We have some silver-tongued people in the circle. Or are their abilities of no consequence in these matters? (I don't know how the game engine works)
>>26336648Valensta, our most skilled trader, was not dispatched to the Peluskis herself; instead, the strength of our proposal was based solely on the opportunity for a marriage.Sometimes one of the options will be "Send X person to do Y," and then stats will matter.
>>26336640Has the dragon's lair been the only thing we've found so far in the tula (dman you Kenstrel for teaching it to gamble)? Surely it hides still more secrets for us to discover. Send out Ernaldess with an appropriate escort.
>>26336648No, their abilities play an enormous role in events.>>26336688No, they matter anyway. They take the highest ringmember's relevant stats, or the person we have serving that role incase of things like Lawspeaker, Warleader, Magician etcAlso, there are hidden values that use a mix of more than one stat. For instance, Poetry derives from Leadership + Custom. Sending someone lets you decide specifically who is being used, but the game still picks in other choices.
>>26336706The Dragon's Lair was out in the Quivin Mountains. We've discovered a few caches of shining gems that we can make amulets from, and have an agreement to sell some of the gems themselves to another clan.
>>26336706That Wyrm's Lair wasn't on the Tula, it was on the Quivin Mountains. We've found some magical stone spirits that tought us about crafting, and some amulet gems.>>26336754We do? Damn. I suppose we needed them at the time but in the long run it would have been better to keep them to ourselves.
>>26336770We still have access to the gems; our choice was whether or not to sell a large amount at once, or have a steady trickle each year. The clan chose a steady trickle over a single swell. If there are no objections, Ernaldess will investigate our home grounds more. The forests are wide, they may yet hold secrets.
>>26336826Let us hope she is lucky this year in finding something on our Tula.
have we taken into account that we now trade with the ducks, so we may need to produce more than before, for export?
>>26336902With our new trade route, we can trade away two more crafter's worth of goods. However, we lack a shrine to Issaries and all of his blessings, meaning that simply adding new trade routes doesn't increase our potential drastically.
>>26336902I do agree that we need more crafters. However, I also say we need one more trade route. 4 trade routes is the magical number that will make our market a Seasonal one instead of Annual. And with that we will see a DRASTIC increase in wealth. We should see to that first, then increase crafters.
>>26336932Actually, one more route would drastically improve our potential.
>>26336949>>26336949>>26336961Not now though: Trade routes take time, and we don't want our warriors far away from the Tula during Fire Season.
>>26336863Luck has not yet abandoned us yet! Truly, our bright god has passed us a blessing in the form of this amber: Elmal's Blood will imbue our slings and arrows with flame, giving us a strong advantage in war.
>>26336983Elmal has given us his favor! Blessings be upon his name! All hail the Loyal Thane, Guardian of the Stead!
>>26336983Truly, we are a blessed people.
>>26336983In Fire Season, we feel the warmth and power of our patron deity the most. Now is the traditional time for a cattle raid or full-on raid, and with Humakt's blessing and our new treasure, we're at a prime place to do battle. Or the Sky Sons can dedicate themselves to peaceful pursuits; calling upon a favor and asking less than the customary amount will make us appear generous and kind, while still fattening our stocks. What should we pursue while the seeds of Sea Season take root in the soil?
>>26337075What are the Hillhaven, Oak Tree, Taraling or Orleving Clans known for? Do any of them owe us Favors?
>>26337108Of the ones you ask, the Oak Trees are the ones who are in our debt. They crush the forces of Chaos wherever they find it.The Hillhavens are known for their female chieftains, the Taralings for their early arrival in Dragon Pass (and our debt to them), and the Orlevings for their massive herd of pigs (and our debt to them as well.)
>>26337179Hmm... Drat, the only ones that seem liable toward trade we owe a debt to.
Is it possible to try to improve relations? The Wolf hasn't been very receptive to our trade, so perhaps we should grease the wheels a bit.
>>26337331It is, but it can be costly. Send to little in gifts, and they will think us Misers, worse than if we sent nothing.
>>26337331Well, the omens aren't bad for trade and diplomacy like before, and we have magic invested in both. We could try giving the Wolves gifts to sway them, or simply hope that the change in the season has brought a change in their mind.
>>26337369I suppose we could try sending a trade Caravan to the wolves. I only worry that the Vostangi or Osgosi will take advantage of our lowered guard.
>>26337396We haven't actually seen the accursed Vostangi for a while. It's been the trolls, the osgosi and those horse-humpers.
>>26337396If you're that concerned, we could put more thanes on patrol, then send out a caravan.
>>26337438The Vostangi have been more willing to commit secret murder rather than face us in the field of battle these days.
>>26337439We could try our luck at actually raiding the Vostangi again...
>>26337492Football with the Vostangi could be a consideration, yes, but perhaps not until the dark season
>>26337518Raids during Dark season are difficult. But perhaps you are right. Let us attempt a caravan now.
>>26337533Third time's the charm. Perhaps the Wolf will finally be receptive to us. We have, at the very least, grown in power since the last attempt. Perhaps our increased stature will make their ears more receptive to our words.
>>26337533>>26337396Valensta is always ready to take other's cows and silver. If there are no objections, she'll set off to the Wolves with many of our horses.
>>26337586Make it so.
>>26337638As the convoy leaves, a group of Odaylan worshippers from the Narri clan comes to us. They're willing to enact a ritual to increase the amount of wild game in our forests, but they'd like something in exchange for this boon. Many of the council ring see this as an opportunity to improve relations with the Narri Clan. Offering them gifts of cows, magic, or silver will increase our status in their eyes, or we could simply have them go about their way. What do we say to those who would offer us services?
>>26337734What history we have with the Narri, if any?
>>26337774We trade with the Narri Clan currently. They do not revere us or loathe us, though Arene hints that we're not exactly popular with them at the moment. We've not met their warriors in the field of battle.
>>26337734Offer them a Favor for the service. We are poor now, but in the future that may not be so.
We have quite a bit of magic in our possession right now; would sharing it give a better reaction than reciprocal gifts?
>>26337852Magic is difficult to gain and quick to lose, very valuable. Best spent on dangerous events, Divinations or the beginning of the year. That's merely my view on it though.
>>26337852Both are powerful gifts, if you give enough. Neither is inherently more valuable than the other; when it comes to giving, the volume is often more valuable than what you give.
>>26337840favours are the worst though T__T
Best just to owe them a favour.
>>26337933i say give like, 10-15 goods should be plently
>>26337958But we need to hoard our goods for fortifications.
>>26337933Around here they're called story hooks.
>>26337949>>26337840We are now formally indebted to the Narri clan. The optimistic amongst the clan see it as another opportunity to show kingly behavior by repaying them more than custom requires, but for now, we have to hope the extra food provided by our hunters is enough to make up for this debt.
>>26337965>>26337980hmmm~ b/c gifts least you know how much you give out; with favours they can ask some silly thing like come fight with us or ask for like 20 cows or w/e. though i guess that might not happen for awhile
>>2633803320 cows is not very much. It is now, but if we are doing well in the future it is a pittance. 20 cows is a typical gift. 10 is miserly, and 30 is generous.
>>26338033Nothing wrong with being called on to aid in battle, it gives us a chance to share in the plunder.
>>26338023No warbands come charging towards our tula intent on spilling our blood and taking our herds after the Narri clan leave. Many take this as a good sign, or at the very least a reason to remain vigilant until the harvesting time. What should we do until Valensta returns from the Wolves?
>>26338076We invested nothing in mystery, so Sacrifice is a poor choice. Perhaps more exploration of our Tula?
>>26338076when was the last time we cattle raided?
>>26338121Hmmm... Yeah before last?
>>26338142hmmm in that case, i know we shouldnt go more than ionno, 2-3 years without least cattle raiding else our war magic would weaken
>>26338121Two years ago, we stole over a score of cattle from the Hillhavens.
>>26338164True. Perhaps in Dark Season? If we are successful then, we may gain magic for it.
>>26338175Time to claim our share from those Vostangi.
>>26338189That assumes we can get off of our own tula, though.>>26338195If there are no objections, we can try to reclaim some of Olkensor Bronzebone's honor from the despicable Vostang clan.
Might be better now than during the Dark, it seems we've gotten a lot of unwelcome visitor on that season so it is best to have all our strength at home to welcome them.
>>26338233Nay, that is what I meant by "if successful". We are enemies of the Ice Demons, so we are no stranger to the cold though.
>>26338276True, true.Alright, I suppose we can attempt a cattle raid on the Vostangi.
>>26338276>>26338295Subterfuge turns into full-out war when the Vostangs see us coming. We're outnumbered, but we also have Humakt's blessings, Elmal's Amber that we can use to slay our foes, and quite a store of magic. What is the best way to go about taking Vostangi cows?
>>26338362Is that dude on the foreground speaking to his cell phone? "mom? we got spotted so this'll take a while."
>>26338362Oh god fucking damn it. THIS is why I hate cattle raids.Evade and survival.
Unless the Vostangi have some powerful items, we actually have the upper hand here. Proceed to plunder, and charge them. Use a little bit of magic to propel us to a crushing victory.
>>26338469And use the Amber of course
>>26338469They outnumber us almost 2 to 1.>>26338477The amber is only useful if you Skirmish.
>>26338437All of my seconded.
>>26338487Not to mention that without Auxiliaries, every death is final.
>>26338487but we also have the shrine that makes our thanes fight with the strength of two of theirs
>>26338566In which case we'd barely outnumber them, but we're still on their home turf. They have their own blessings as well, and fortifications too.Even if we do win, we'll suffer heavy casualties we can ill afford.
>>26338469>>26338497Apparently, our warriors prefer to be outnumbered, especially when we can strike at a foe while they're otherwise occupied. Cries of "For Olkensor!" rang out across the battlefield.A few cuts and bruises mar our forces, but none lie dead while we send a dozen new Vostangi souls to Ty Kora Tek's sanctum, and take home several cows and many horses. Humakt and Elmal truly give us their blessings in war.
>>26338591lol i wonder what our Ring Speaker will decide. feel like we're like voices in his head being like GO THIS WAY... no... GO THAT WAY
>>26338604hohoho horses are great
>>26338604Holy hell, how did that even happen. Not a single dead on our side.Elmal be Praised! His Light is Upon us and his Fire upon the Vostangi!
>>26338604Reminder that each horse is valued at roughly 4 cows so this was a VERY successful "cattle" raid.Plus look at how many of their weaponthanes are dead. Seriously, I'm amazed.
>>26338604Oh wow did we charge them? Truly, Elmal is looking after us, no slain warriors on our side.
>>26338681>>26338659>>26338682Truly, we are a blessed people.
>>26338613Generally, I go by consensus based on individual votes. There were two for charging & looting, and one for evading and skirmishing. Arguments don't factor into my decisions, just clear statements on what to do.Valentsa returns as well, with silver and cows from the Wolves. The horses we traded to them are almost equal to the ones we just took from the Vostangs; thus, we and our allies profit while our foes suffer. Today is a good day to be a Sky Son.
>>26338693hohoho thats some good trading right there
>>26338693All glory to Sky Sons!
>>26338693Enastarra does inform the council that we are short-handed in the fields, with Earth Season soon approaching. Adopting more cottars into our clan may be a wise action, unless we take her advice and sacrifice the cows we just took to Barntar.
>>26338693>trade 16 horses>get 17 moreSeems legit. Good thing it was with the Wolves too: Horses are tools of war, and we only want them with our Allies.
>>26338727However, once Earth Season comes to us, we have just enough to pull in all the grain. Perhaps enough cottars healed from sickness and injuries between her warning and the beginning of the Season.Should we still take on more able hands to work the earth? Or perhaps the will of the clan is elsewhere. I await your directions.
>>26338727We know not the blessings of Barntar though and have not put our magic in mysteries. Perhaps next year. This earth, perhaps we could seek more carls for the fields.
>>26338747Accept only our kind from the Heortland and vagabonds and wanderers.Taking Carls from other clans will anger them, and they are uneasy with us as is. We don't want them to raid and kill all the men we invite.Furthermore, although Vagabonds and Wanderers may not make the clan happy, they will not bring filthy anklebiting children with them, thus producing more for less mouths to feed.
>>26338747From our distant kin; offer land only
>>26338747could you show the like, harvesting screen? the one which shows how much food we expect to get and such. we're definately have more land than we can use right now, so must as well get more peeps
>>26338851Indeed. I was going to ask for that in Sea season, but it passed before I had the chance. We cant really adjust it yet, but we can certainly plan for next year.
>>26338851>>26338878I will after this event. The call is sent out, and with some time, there will be fresh faces amongst the Sky Sons.In the meantime, we're propitiated by servants of Uralda, the Cow Mother. These are from our allies, the Wolf Clan; they wish to enact a ritual to make our herds more fertile and healthy, in exchange for a gift of some kind. Now is a good time to make friends with the Wolves, if we wish to pursue trade. Shall we allow this blessing, and if so, what do we give in return?
>>26338926Fuck, I just noticed we have just enough gifts for a Palisades.Drat. Offer them gifts in exchange. We must conserve our magic for next year or in case of potential raids.
>>26338926We should allow this, but we owe enough favours already so let us offer them gifts.
>>26338981>>26338966Gifts it is, then. How much wealth should we give our allies? Valensta recommends five cows; likely enough to sate them. However, a greater gift may sway the Wolves to our favor when we try to establish a trade route with them.
>>2633903210 cows, 5 goods.
>>26339032The Sky Sons are generous to their friends and allies; let us gift them with ten.
>>26339072>>26339080The priestesses accept the ten heads of cattle with grace, and set about the blessing. They assure us that, come the birthing time, our herds will swell prodigiously. Thank Elmal we should have the hands to take care of them by then.
>>26339144Indeed. With this blessing plus our Shrine to Uralda, we should do well. It is frightening to think we had cows numbering in the 500's just last year.
>>26339144We've got no word yet from the new cottars that should be coming soon, though it has not been a long time since we asked for them. The harvest seems to be coming along just fine, filling our larders with more than enough food for the coming year. Valensta suggests taking bushels of grain to market alongside horses next time. What should we pursue in these last few warm days before snow chokes our lands?
>>26339217Hmm... We could try sending out a trade caravan now, or Explore our Tula.
Since the clan's affairs seem to be in good order, perhaps another exploratory foray into the tula.
>>26339361Would we be able to explore our Tula during Dark season? I know Caravans leaving then is out of the question.
>>26339339>>26339361Ernaldess may end up venerating Lhankor Mhy over Odayla, given how much she maps out our tula. Are there any objections to her taking another lovely stroll?
>>26339414It can be difficult for thanes to open their front doors, much less make it out of the market square if the snows are too deep. To speak nothing of the chill winds that blow men back to the tula or sudden snowstorms.
>>26339454Yes, but what else will we be able to do then? Sacrificing for Mysteries is folly and to leave the tula is ludicrous. We could attempt to raid, perhaps, but it likely would not happen.
>>26339475Sacrificing is not folly, simply more expensive than if we had given magic to Mysteries in Sacred Time. We could also reassign roles in the clan, adjust the number of crafters and hunters, clear land, build shrines or fortifications.
>>26339503We have 18 hunters? Yes, perhaps we should shift them toward crafting in Dark season. Hunters are useful, but we'll need plenty of Crafters if we ever hope to build more shrines and fortifications.Explore away.
>>26339417>>26339544Ernaldess has come across something indeed, though it's not exactly pleasant; some manner of pests that Enastarra terms "rubble runners" swarm out of a cave on our tula, injuring the warriors Ernaldess took with her. According to Enastarra, the little creatures breed ferociously, and if we want them exterminated, we have to hunt down and kill every single one of them. Or we could attempt to close up the cave, or simply avoid the area and hope they don't come swarming once more. How shall we deal with this predicament, lords?
>>26339629Trickster magic will solve this for certain.
Oh great, we have a vermin infestation. Extermination would be best, but that would short our fighting capacity right before we need it...
>>26339689If Kenstrel can teach a dragon to gamble, surely he can manage running ahead a rat pack. Let's go with that.
They need to be killed. I want to suggest sending in the thanes, but we may need them in the times ahead. I want to suggest bringing in outsiders, but they may become more pests we'll have to deal with later.I'll have to say send in the thanes.
>>26339764Sorry, I didn't see your post until after I had clicked the button. I apologize profusely.>>26339689>>26339734Kenstrel actually fares much better with the rubble runners than he did with the wyrm. He in fact leads the nefarious creatures out into Vostangi territory! May they bite the ankles of every man and woman in their tula.
>>26339800As the vermin leave, the carls we sent out for come tromping into our tula. Ten more pairs of hands to work the earth and tend to the cattle, at least once the cold times pass.
>>26339800Hah! My this Curse blight them for seasons to come!
>>26339800Ha! Good old Kenstrel.
>>26339845Chilling winds and heavy snows blanket our tula as Dark Season holds us in its cold grip. Our warriors keep an eye out for ice demons, for this is when they are most likely to assault us.What should we do while we wait for warmer days? Our forests are vast, and their production has been blessed by Odayla; we could have our farmers pick up the bow, to take better advantage of the bounty of the land. Else I will undertake whatever action you instruct to me.
>>26339800>Kenstrel actually fares much better with the rubble runners than he did with the wyrmGood to see we've worked our way up "giant dirty rodent" tier.
>>26339932True, I forgot about the blessing we received. What if we hire 15 crafters to bring our total to 25, and plan to use magic in Mysteries next year so we can get a shrine to Banator next year?
Let's increase the number of crafters as discussed before.
>>26339977We can instruct our cottars to take up the spinning and pottery wheels, though the goods they make will not be able to be traded at market; they will still produce wealth for the clan, but not as much as the 12 we can reliably trade.
>>26340046Damn, we need to increase our trade.
>>26339800No worries, it seems it worked out for the better, and none of our thanes were hurt in the process. A win, win.
>>26340110Giving due deference to Issaries will increase our capability to trade. Or we can simply have vast amounts of spun wool and clay jugs, if that is the clan's will.
>>26340110Indeed, next year we should sacrifice to Banator for mysteries while sending out caravans to set up a trade route.Perhaps we should wait until we have more types of goods before we allocate more crafters?
>>26340151Each crafter will get us 4 good a year regardless of trade. The trade is just icing on the cake.
>>26340184This is true. Though crafters do not join the fyrd, thus there are less warriors when we must defend our home or assault a neighbor. There does seem to be support for taking on more crafters, so I will do so.
>>26339977>>26340030Twenty-five crafters now produce goods for the Sky Sons, selling what we can and stockpiling the rest.Ernaldess confirms that the rituals performed by the Narri clan have indeed taken effect, and elk swarm the forests around our tula.
>>26340220Yes, but the excess goods will allow us to boost our fortifications and shrines. The loss of 15 to the Fyrd is not that great: For retrospect, that's only 1 and a half Weaponthanes for us.
>>26340301>For retrospectHaha, what the fuck was I saying.
>>26340266One of the women of our clan, Vininna, braves the cold to approach the ring, flanked by her family from the Peluski clan. She accuses her husband, Broyan, of adultery, one of the most serious crimes in Orlanthi law. She demands a divorce and the repayment of her dowry. While we don't have proof of Broyan's infidelity, we could seek a divination to give us the answers. Complying with her requests could also better our relations with the Peluskis. What is the judgement of the clan leaders?
During the last Dark we got raided twice, let's see what this one brings us.
>>26340374Let us conduct a Divination. Also, We have enough goods to build Palisades! Do it do it do it!
>>26340374In judging, we must be impartial. If there is no proof, we cannot take action; hearsay and conjencture are not enough.
>>26340374Divinate that shit.
>>26340399>>26340422Our ancestors, who watch over us, confirm that Broyan is indeed guilty. Armed with this knowledge, what judgement do we pass upon the adulterer? Or does the ring question the wisdom of the ancestors?
>>26340509He must be Outlawed. We should pay the Bridal price as well.
>>26340509The ancestors have spoken. Broyan is an oathbreaker, so I don't see why we shouldn't outlaw him. The bride price should also be paid to satisfy the Peluski.
>>26340509Elmal, those Peluski are ugly. That said, he should have just divorced her. He must be outlawed for this transgression, and it is our duty to pay the bridal price back.
>>26340629Yeah seeing that face I can understand why Broyan's been whacking around the bush.
>>26340576>>26340604>>26340629With Broyan's transgressions laid clear, the only just action is to punish him and repay Vininna. She and her kin rejoiced, promising to speak to the rest of her clan of our honor and dedication to justice.
>>26340714With that legal matter resolved, the question turns to what to do with the rest of the cold days until Storm Season. There was some support for building more fortifications; if that is the clan's desire, I will see it carried out.
>>26340767And there's the pic, sorry. We already have fortifications, but we can build a stockade.
>>26340712We should send the Peluski a messenger to say just that.
>>26340787Yes, a stockade should significantly improve the safety of our clan.
>>26340787Right, that's the one. Build a stockade. With our extra crafters, we will have plenty of goods.
>>26340787We don't need a stockade we need more beer. Change the plans for seeds to include 5% more barley.
>>26340787oh lets get it built thenstockade 4life
>>26340879It's already like 50% barley.
>>26340854>>26340877>>26340910The cottars work through freezing conditions and short days, but once the snows recede and the days start becoming longer, it stands proud and tall to defend the tula, just like our thanes.Though, increasing our crafters so much has left us a touch under-powered in the fields. It may be wise to take in more cottars once more; Elmal knows we have plenty of land for them to look over.Else, we can send Valensta out to negotiate peace with the Peluskis, try and set up a trade route with the Wolves, or see how many more cows the Vostangs are willing to give us.
>>26340914by and by, what does rye/barley/wheat even do?
>>26341018Nobody raided us? Truly, Elmal's blessings are with the Sky Sons.
>>26341045Do you want Eurmal to jinx us? Then hold your tongue! There is still time in the year, and the Vostangi might have spent all Dark licking their wounds.
>>26341043Here, from the manual.Rye vs Wheat is basically the same as you see with the Fancy vs normal crafted goods.
>>26341076>Vostangi might have spent all Dark licking their wounds.Man, I misread this as spent all "Dick licking" at first. Fucking Vostangi.
>>26341121I still giggle a little bit when given the option to dicker over the price of something.
>>26341121There's no doubt that if we asked in a divination, the Vostangi would be proven as root of all ills. Besides Chaos.
>>26341018It's storm? Well the children will grow in Sacred time which is fast approaching, so I'm not worried.Let's give a trade route with the wolves one last shot IF you think she'll be back before the year ends.otherwise, no go and just explore the Tula.
>>26341187what if the vostangi ARE chaos
>>26341210The Wolves are close by; if we sent Valensta out right now, she might get back just in time for Sacred Time.
>>26341260Alright. Let's give them one last shot at a trade route since we put points in Trade this year. The sooner we get 4 trade routes the better, because it will be a huge step up for our Market. We'll see returns year after year for that.
Yes let's see what Valensta can do. We need those routes and Wolves are still our best, shot, being the only others above neutral besides the daffy fucks.
>>26341304>>26341347Valensta sets out towards Wolf territory once more, dreaming of lucrative trade. While she's gone, disaster strikes! Perhaps speaking of Chaos can cause it to appear. Arene is made ill by some of her clothing, and an Uroxi confirms that it was woven with Chaos runes and other malign symbols.Sufficient sacrifices to Urox or Chalana Arroy will likely remove the affliction. Tracking down the origin of this cloth may be difficult, and thus, delivering justice to this crime's perpetrator will be a challenge. What should we do against such an underhanded assault?
>>26341429First thing's first, we must sacrifice to Chalanna Arroy to heal our Ringmember.
>>26341429Obviously, we'll need to remove the affliction, sactifice to Urox.
Rolled 2>>26341472>>26341493>>26341525Chance will decide our action in this matter, then, since we cannot come to an agreement.1 is blame the Vostangs, 2 is sacrifice to Chalana Arroy, 3 is sacrifice to Urox.
>>26341429I bet the Vostangi did this. Don't bother with a diviniation, I'm already sure of it.
>>26341610Wait, I change my sacrifice to Urox!(And we'll blame the Vostangi no matter what, just not in the event)
>>26341613I agree. The ancestors would mock us for asking them what is already obvious, when that time could be spent killing like the Vostangi like the Traitorous Chaos beasts they are.
Truly, the vostangi are a blight on the Dragon Pass
>>26341493>>26341525not sure which to pray to butmaybe 15-20 something. this isnt random thanes/carls but a ringmember that we're risking.
>>26341613>>26341623>>26341643Sorry guys, already hit the button. Generally I try to wait about 5 minutes after the last post before going to a die roll.>>26341610Chalana Arroy's feats of healing are known far and wide, from healing the sick to restoring wisdom to Orlanth himself. Our god-talkers of Chalana Arroy are ready to ask for her favor, but how much should we give up to save a member of the council ring? 15 cows as >>26341671 suggests is a significant sacrifice.
>>26341661Literally and Figuratively.
>>26341704The cloth may be difficult to note (although the inferior quality is clearly Vostangi work) but the evil, green, chaotic Glow?Yeah, that's got Vostangi written all over it.
>>26341704Chalana's not cool with sacrificing living things, so give her 10 goods.
>>26341704lol just going to vote again of 15-20 of something combined. maybe 5 cows 10 goods. dont want to risk ringmember
Be sure to pick the vostangi cattle we raided when we sacrifice. Who knows what kind of chaos taint they carried with them.On the other hand, the gods might be offended when we sacrifice such cattle to them.In any case, let's go with 15 cattle. We must not let them succeed at assassinating a ring member.
>>26341769We'll need those goods for our shrines though, right?
>>26341769>>26341775While the god-talkers received positive signs, things are never easy or guaranteed with Chaos. With luck, Arene will overcome her sickness soon. It may be wise to replace her on the Council Ring until she recovers, that way we still have seven members on the ring come Sacred Time.
>>26341837Kind of. Some gods prefer the sacrifice of some things to others.Trade-y or peaceful gods like Chalanna Arroy or Issaries? They prefer goods.
>>26341850Hurr I am le dumb
>>26341863Let's hope we still have enough goods come sacred time. And fine, let us give her time to rest and recover. Who else do we have that is good with plants?
>>26341874Actually, Arene was put on the ring for her skill in inspiring others to great deeds, not for her veneration of the Earth Mother. If we wish to replace her skills, Hofstaring is skilled in leading others to battle. If we want to replace her worship during Sacred Time, Minara could fill the role as well. Or we could trust in Chalana Arroy to return her to us posthaste.
>>26341923Wait, we put her on for leadership? That's a fucking terrible idea. Having someone with higher leadership than the Chieften on the ring will lead to discontent and they can even attempt a Coup.
>>26341923Our Chieften is our Leader. Why do we need someone else for that role?Who's good with plants?
>>26341998Oh wait, that's the Orlanth focused one. Whoops.Still, we don't need him on the ring since he gives us no benefit.
>>26341949I thought they could do that no matter what.
>>26341966Enastakos is well-known for his matters of growing and tending, and venerates Barntar. If we wish to gain his blessings next season, his services will be valuable.
>>26341923yea def not for leadership. IOnno how ring is organized but i usually doLeadership = Clan LeaderCustom/Law speaker doodBargining/trade master issariersMagic manTrickster guy eurmalCombat killerMaybe animals/plants depending
>>26342024Looks like we have our man
>>26342024cool~ foods aways good
>>26342054Actually since we follow Elmal our Clan Leader and Combat killer can align quite well. The only negative to this is Warleader advice often subsumes Clan Leader Advice. Plus if something happens to him in battle, you're double fucked.Still, it means you can have a more diverse group of leaders which is nice.
>>26342024Hell she sucks at plants.Anyway, I've never cared much for Barntar followers: They have no way of increasing their Plants knowledge since they can't to Ernalda's heroquest.
>>26342024How's Renatha? I prefer Ernaldans to Barntar. And holy hell does our Ernaldan suck at plants, she's not even in the top TEN.Even our WARLEADER, a HUMAKTI is better with plants than her.
>>26342182>Being surprised a Humakti is good with plantsThey're notoriously feminine anon.
>>26342054>not making your trickster your chiefStickpickers, all of you.
>>26342182I, well... fuck. Am I going too fast? Should I say when I've pushed the button?>>26342071>>26342085Arene is relieved of her duties so she can better rest, and Enostakos takes up her seat next to the Chieftain.Valensta returns from the Wolves before Sacred Time, thankfully, but has still not managed to establish a trade route with them. Some say we'd have better chances with the Peluskis than the Wolves at this point, though pretty much everyone agrees that the Vostangs are about as reliable and trustworthy as a beast of Chaos.
>>26342289Speaking of the blight-born Vostangi, it seems their assault on our ring was merely a distraction so that they could steal some of our cows. Yet another entry in the litany of offenses committed by the Vostangs, and many wish to see them punished for.
>>26342289No, you're going at a good pace. It's my bad. The issue isn't likely to come up anytime soon anyway. This pace is good: We actually finished a whole year so far, when we only did like 2 and a half seasons last time.Keep it up, OP.
>>26342324And on that sour note, the year ends and we are taken to Sacred Time once more. What may be interesting to note is that, despite the sacrifices and losses we took from raids, we've once more gained in our herds. Perhaps Humakt and Elmal are not the only gods who watch out for the Sky Sons; Uralda has surely been put upon the list as well.
>>26342376'Mirin' those sweet Stockades.
>>26342376Though it seems that we'll need Uralda's protection this year, if the omens are this poor. Thank goodness we can now place more magic into our herds, thanks to Enostakos. Therefore, where should we invest our magic this year? How much should we keep in reserve?
>>26342423Is it time for another Heroquest, or is it Too soon?
>>26342423Herd Magic comes from Enastarra. Crop magic comes from Enostakos.
>>26342465It's been a full year since a heroquest; waiting another would be safer, but we can certainly try to venture into the godplane once more.>>26342483I thought we only could put one in Herds last year... oh wait, that's my save. You're right.
>>26342423I think our priorities are crops, diplomacy, herds, trade and war. Unless we want more mysteries.
>>26342508Ah. We can wait then, it's fine. The rewards for heroquesting are just so great, I didn't want to pass the chance up if we had it. But it is so dangerous, we must be cautious.
>>26342539Aren't we planning on getting a shrine to Barntar up and running this year to help out our thankless, annoying cottars?
>>26342539>>26342540>>26342553Is this the will of the clan ring?
>>26342582Yes,With a follower of Barntar on the ring, we shouldn't need points in mysteries to sacrifice to him.Might want to put 2 in war though, just in case.
>>26342582>>26342623Let's go with these
>>26342623>>26342637>>26342649And with that, the rituals are put into place, an the world is renewed for another year.I think I'm going to step out and get a bite to eat real quick; I am starving, and eat on a weird schedule because of work. If there's still interest when I get back, I'll continue running, but I understand it's getting a smidge late.Hoping to be about 20 minutes to a half-hour or so.Feel free to talk about upcoming plans, goals, and how much you hate Clan Vostang while I'm gone.
oh btw thanks Ring Speaker for doing this, its alot of work for like, compared to us dickering around
>>26342715No problemo, go get some food. I know the Runic Men OP would usually run off to have dinner about 3 hours into running it and come back to run it for the rest of the night, so no worries.(I recommend timing it so you're leaving during one of the "events" though so people have something to do in the meantime)
>>26342723D'awww, thanks. It's not overly hard; the biggest challenge is going "Dark season, wat do?" in a way that is somewhat interesting to read. I am glad that there are people who are invested and want to follow the Sky Sons, though; this clan is 100% created by and run by /tg/, so all the victories they achieve are your victories.
>>26342715One thing I love about things like this is how quick people play into their assigned roles. The game randomly selects two of the other clans for you to be feuding with at the beginning of the game. There is no reason given behind the feud, it is entirely Arbitrary... but even before they get the chance to play their part, you throw yourself into it completely. You HATE that other clan, cursing them and blaming them for all your woes, cheering their hardships and trying to make them suffer whenever you can.
>>26342819It's like a more benign version of the Stanford Prison Experiment.
>>26342876Pretty much. I considered mentioning that but couldn't remember the exact name of the experiment.
Right. So Barntar blessing and shrine, that last fucking traderoute this year, right clan?
Think we can risk an outright raid of the Vostangi this year?
>>26343134Well we DO have a shit ton of Weaponthanes at this point
>>26343238Not enough. I say we should work toward 30 weaponthanes.
Just in case anyone is wondering, anything resembling Mexican food at Cookout is hilariously terrible. Good burgers, dogs, and steak, though. The entire clan bustles with activity in Sea Season, planting going on in full earnest. What should we do in these warm, breezy days, fellow thanes? There was talk of entreating Barntar. Is this still the will of the clan ring?
>>26342819Having someone nearby that you hate is actually useful. Like with the rubble runners; if it was all friends around us, Kenstrel would have led them into someone's backyard that we don't want to tick off. But since we don't give a shit about the Vostangs, it all works out great. In one of my previous games, I made friends with all the clans immediately around me, even the one that started off as feuding. This came to bite me later when my clan got too big, since I didn't have anyone to take land from, and there was no one I wanted to cattle raid from.>>26343238>30 weaponthanes>Jesusgodthat'salottafood.gif
>>26343422I really wish this game had a fucking Sheep blessing. Sheep are such a bitch to get.But Carls are bitches too, so I suppose we could try and get Vigor this year.Maybe send off a Trade Mission first so our Thanes will be back in time for Fire season?
>>26343482Eh, thirty is just the high end of normal. Much like giving gifts:10: weak20: Normal30: StrongAbove 30 and things get really fun.
>>26343592Whoops. Realized I shouldn't be posting images like that unspoilered. People could get confused.Anyway, yeah. Good times.
>>26343592nuoh my god
>>26343502Thankfully, we're swimming in sheep. 1717 little fluffballs.Valensta is always glad to acquire more cows and silver for the clan, if that is our goal. The Wolves may not be willing to establish a trade route, but they have shown that they're willing to take a caravan from us once in a while. Or we could sent a convoy to another clan, like the Narri or the Eagles.>>26343632Eh, I wouldn't worry too much about spoiling things. We're nowhere near as awesome as the Runic Men were, no one's going to think we have over 1k magic.
>>26343632Didn't it turn out that the Runic Men managed to kill some Rakstanti warriors even though they didn't show up? As if they just hunted them down in their homes and shouted "You're going to die in battle whether you like it or not!"
>>26343660max trade routes all day everyday
>>26343687Yes. It was one of their most notable events. From time to time they would get over 100% casualties in raids. But that time they got casualties even when no enemies showed up, and a lot of them too. They literally divided by 0 and inflicted an INFINITE casualty rate on their enemies. The thread pretty much exploded, and jokes were flying about how Garrath Mountainfuck was using the raid as a kind of Easteregg hunt for the Thanes.>Looking around huh? Did you check behind that bush and- wow, look! A cow!>And behind that rock, a Dead Rakstanti! Awesome!
>>26343632>>26343660>Runic Men>that feel when killing more opponents than there were on the battlefieldOh and the bull was alive!
>>26343660Let's make another trade route.Maybe try that pig clan by us?
>>26343769IT WAS ALIVE WHEN WE SOLD IT
>>26343700>>26343780After a last-minute change in goals, Valensta sets out once more to try and establish a trade route to bring more wealth to the Sky Sons. Everyone hopes she achieves it.There's still time left in Sea Season. Do we want to propitiate Barntar now, and have a shrine to him ready by Earth Season? Or raise more weaponthanes? Or take advantage of the vast woods around our tula?
>>26343821Ah, sorry, that's what I meant by trade mission. A route, not trying to get cows and silver.Good job catching it OP, sorry for the confussion.
>>26343821Let's go for Barntar so the carls stop bitching for once about having to do the work of two men each.
>>26343821Can we cut down some of the wildlands to make room for more agriculture? I remember someone said that "our wildlands can support more hunters" doesn't necessarily mean that we need more hunters, but that we need less wildlands.
>>26343660That's not actually swimming in sheep. Since the only way to really get more sheep is let your sheep do their business, it makes it difficult to support a bunch of different shrines unless you put them off to let the sheep build up exponentially.
>>26343883Indeed. Our Wildlands also allow our enemies cover when plotting cattle raids against us.
>>26343883We can. The problem with cutting down the forest too much is that, unless the land is worked by hands or hooves, it will return to forests. Right now our cottars can't take on much more land, and the omens for calving were bad this year.
>>26343964Tsk. Barntar it is then so our hands can work more land.
>>26344024>>26343845A sacrifice to Barntar it is. Enostakos must be proud of the sudden reverence given to his god.How much should we give up to the God of the Plow? Cows may be a better sacrifice, seeing as how we lack many goods. 10 to 15 cows would likely convince the god that we are worthy of his blessing.
>>26343964Lazy cottars ruin everything! What about pastures, do our cattle have enough room to eat?
>>26344128They have room to spare, and if we need more, there is plenty of lumber we can harvest to give them more grazing fields.
>>26344181so much land lol gosh
>>26344128Exactly. That's why we need the Vigor blessing.
>>26344181It's good that our warmaster who worships the god of death has helpful farming advice.
>>26344231Not really that much, we could have taken more.
>>26344241It's sad that he actually knows more about crops and cows than our previous person who was in charge of it.He's actually like the 7th best in the entire clan at it.
>>26344241At least he's not going on about getting the children to read.
>>26344112A dozen cows satisfies Barntar, and he reveals to us the ritual of Plowsong.
>>26344236>Cottars are such thankless lazy shits that we need literal DIVINE INTERVENTION to get them to work
>>26344292Valensta returns, but with no good news once more. Perhaps we should seek agreements with another clan; either that or improve our relationship with the Wolves further. If the leader thirsts for battle, he may enjoy being invited along the next time we assault the Vostangs.
>>26344315>Expecting anything from the God of Carls
>>26344333We sent her to the Wolves AGAIN?Lame. We should try that pig clan. I know we owe them a favour, but they seem likely to trade. Not now though, its fire season.
>>26344333One of our weaponthanes, Broyan (... wait... didn't we outlaw that guy?) comes complaining to the council ring after he suffered insults when dining at a Blue Jay feast. He believes they intended to slander the good name of the Sky Sons, and wants us to reclaim our honor. What should we do against this slight against us, good sirs?
>>26344333Punitive raid on the Wolves. Show them how we handle rejection.
>>26344356She was sent to the Wolves because she was originally going to take a trade caravan, and they've traded with us before.
>>26344418They're our allies. Raiding them is kind of a no-no.
>>26344399This calls for POETRY
>>26344399They were foolish enough to insult us in Fire season? Looks like it's raiding time.
>>26344465Technically, we're still in Sea Season; the change to Fire Season will happen once we resolve this matter.
>>26344465I think it might be Sea Season still.
>>26344477>>26344486Shit. Rile them up with a poem, then add injury to insult with a raid. Who has good custom + leadership?
>>26344456>>26344555Our lawspeaker is just as good at making arguments as he is at crafting rhymes, it seems. The Blue Jays have lost a lot of honor by disparaging the Sky Sons, while our honor remains intact.
>>26344599With that matter dealt with, Fire Season comes to Dragon Pass. Our War magic cries out to be used against our foes, and there are many points at which we could strike. The Vostangs have assaulted us with Chaos Magic, the Blue Jays insulted our honor, and the Peluskis simply don't like us. Shall our blades seek new sheathes in enemy flesh? Or should we pursue other activities in Elmal's time?
>>26344599OH SHITBUSTED A RHYME ON DEM BITCHES
>>26344653The Peluskis have never really done anything to us.I say we try Raiding the Vostangi. It is time.
>>26344729The warriors assemble, preparations are made, and with nothing but your word, they will assault our hated foes as retribution for striking down one of ours with evil magic. The idea is put forth to call upon the Wolves for fighting over trade; if their leader is itching for a fight, then we'll give him the opportunity to do so.Is it time to bathe our blades in Vostangi blood?
>>26344830And of course I forget the picture.
>>26344830>>26344889>And with nothing but your wordY-yeah, no pressure.
>>26344889Looks good. I wouldn't be surprised if the Osgori cattle raid us while we're out though.Let's hope us killing a full SEVEN of the Vostangi weaponthanes had a lasting effect on them,
>>26344889We're at Autosage now by the way. Probably about time to wrap it up for the night.
>>26344992Hmm... up for a new thread?
>>26345001Eh. This one is dying down and it's late. I don't think we really need a second one.Perhaps start with the battle tomorrow or an event? Those get the most attention and responses rather than open decisions.
>>26345070Not tomorrow, sorry. I mean next time, Thursday I assume.
>>26345001Or we can play out this raid and call it a night. I can go either way at this point, and am glad to do so.>>26344914>>26344942The Wolves prove themselves adept at being wartime allies, not peacetime allies, contributing 21 warriors. Perhaps killing those thanes last year did improve our odds, as we slipped by the Vostangi patrols and outnumber the blight-born dogs two to one!Elmal's Amber is prepared to use on our missiles. How shall we go about applying our swords to Vostangi faces?
>>26345090Actually with truesword, we outnumber them closer to 3 to 1.Truesword is a really nice blessing.
>>26345090Charge and Plunder seems the name of the game.Killing as many as possible might be nice too but let's work our way up to that. We need plunder at the moment and we really need a successful raid.
>>26345070Well, I can't save in the middle of an event or battle. At least, as far as I know. I think once we take care of these Vostangi dogs, I'll call it a night.
>>26345172Oh yeah, I forgot. Whoops. Silly me.Could let the clan make a decision on what to do next, save, and then do it before posting next time so we go right to an event?
>>26345090Charge and plunder! We will be rich, and they will be DEAD!
>>26345166>>26345282Well, that's... disheartening. It seems our thanes are so used to fighting at a disadvantage, they don't know how to fight when they have the advantage. We inflict heavy wounds on the Vostangs, and lose no thanes, but they prevent us from taking anything but their lives. A sad day for those wishing for plunder.
>>26345329Though there is a bit of good news: our sacrifices to Chalana Arroy were not in vain, and Arene is fully healed. Perhaps now Ernaldess can take a break from exploring the tula, and use her skills at marshalling warriors to explore the lands around Dragon Pass.
>>26345329GOD FUCKING DAMN ITFUCK THE VOSTANGI
>>26345364Combat determines Warleader, not Leadership anon.
>>26345329Truly, we are a cursed people.
>>26345364Enostakos informs us also that we're still short-handed out in the fields. We have the resources to build a Shrine to Barntar, which by itself will aid our cottars. The Vigor Ritual would help even more, though so would having more hands out in the fields.
>>26345364Hey, you used some of our magic on that battle.Shit man, save that last one for divinations and such.
>>26345329Truly, we are a cursed people
>>26345426This dark season we should focus on getting vigor and building a shrine.Too much stuff to do in the rest of the seasons.
>>26345441Uh... I didn't choose to. I don't know how our magic fell.
>>26345404I was suggesting that Arene could lead exploration missions, not raids. Her combat skills are not amazing, but serviceable.
>>26345461Hmmm... Perhaps the treasure uses our magic?
>>26345479Naw. Odaylan and and Issaries are the best for exploration.
>>26345497Or the gods withdrew their support after we failed to achieve our goal in war.
>>26345515Naw, it happened last time too. I figured you were just using magic, but it must be the treasure.
>>26345557I never noticed the Amber ate magic. I apologize. I'll stop auto-using it, then, unless you tell me you want to use it.>>26345426And with that folks, I am going to call it a night. This is the first Sky Sons thread to hit autosage, so yay for that! Had some good stuff and bad stuff happen tonight. But next Thursday, we'll have the other half of Fire Season to do what we wish.If you would like updates, reminders, and apologies via twitter, you can follow me at https://twitter.com/RingSpeaker, and all threads are archived at http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Sky+Sons . I hope to see you all next Thursday at 6PM EST (1800 4chan time) for the next installment!
>>26345581No, I had no idea either and I don't think anyone realized. Our bad too. It's a shame, because I fucking love that amber. It's even more awesome since we're Elmali.
>>26345581Night Night OP.This was a great session. Long, with a lot of interesting stuff happening. Triumph and Tragedy, and leaving on a note (Those fucking Vostangi) that inspires interest for next time.Well done, and Sweet dreams. You earned 'em.
