Mission archives:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Ghost%20QuestResource list:http://pastebin.com/MWbqjUDP(This is a different link from last time. Couldn't edit the last one.)Twitter:@GhostAdjutantYou were a ghost operative of the Terran Dominion, under Emperor Arcturus Mengsk. Your Codename is Delta Phoenix. You received a transmission from Korhal. "The Emperor is Dead. Long live the Emperor. "It seems like a lifetime since the fall of Korhal disabled your neural inhibitor and you went rogue. With the help of a rogue Dominion Marine, Jacob Henderson, you and your small crew secured a Gorgon-Class battlecruiser you now call The Daluke. The Dominion, bounty hunters, and criminal scum alike are all after you with a massive 1.5 billion credit bounty on your head. But they're going to have to earn it, first.A Dominion fleet is destroying Murric. You successfully set the D.S.S. Phoenix's reactors to go critical and made your escape in one of the battlecruiser's drop pods. The rest of Phoenix Squad is chasing after you, and you'll either have to escape or kill them planetside.Adjutant A.I. online.Brace for impact, Commander.
Your drop pod hits the ground at bone-shattering speed, but you're protected within it's casing. The doors pop off and reveal the bruning red skies of Murric. You're in one of the planet's small towns. In the distance you hear the familiar roar of autocannons. You step out of the pod and into cover. Many of the buildings around you appear to have been damaged by air strikes, and several damage civilian vehicles litter the roadways.>"Adjutant, how long until Evac?">"All other forces are currently engaged with the enemy at this time, Delta Phoenix. I am detecting Murric Defense Forces to the Northwest of your position."You briefly consider grouping up with them until Evac can arrive, but are cut off by the unmistakeable thunderous crack of a C-10 hitting someone in the head. One of Phoenix team made planetfall nearby and they're picking off the MDF troops. >Solve this problem before it solves you. Move towards the sound of sniper fire. >Move away from the sniper fire, you just need to focus on staying alive right now.
>>25932367>Solve this problem before it solves you. Move towards the sound of sniper fire.Support the MDF.
>>25932354Hell it's about time!
>>25932367>Solve this problem before it solves you. Move towards the sound of sniper fire.
>>25932367Oh man getting hypedWe killed our old boss, I think we can handle our brothers and sisters...Time for a reunion.
>>25932367>>Solve this problem before it solves you. Move towards the sound of sniper fire.
>>25932367>Solve the problem.now, are we going for a straight out kill, or does anyone want to try and recruit the old squad? If we go for the kill, could we salvage the suit so that we can salvage schematics for it? Makes us that more prepared for potential Psyonic recruits...
>>25932367>Solve this problem before it solves you. Move towards the sound of sniper fire
>Detecting Unanimous Consensus. You move towards the sound, careful to remain in cover even with your stealth on. You come upon a crossroads, open and clear of cover. A single wounded marine lies in the center, the rest of his squad has taken cover behind a building on the far side.Another shot rings out and strikes the wounded marine, who cries out in pain. He calls for his squad to help him. He doesn't realize he's bait. The squad takes the bait. Several of them move up to fire at a building, The other two run up to try and haul the wounded marine out. They're all dead in under five seconds. Something feels extremely familiar about this sniper.>Move up through cover. Get a better view, try to outflank your target.>Use scanners and look for any reflections. Sniper battle.
>>25932367Yeah, let's get that arsehole. If we don't, he/she/it might stay under the radar in murric for ages before being caught.
>>25932478They've made their choice to stay, they can pay the price
>>25932478Well, for now we're only moving, not shooting.
>Use scanners and look for any reflections. Sniper battle.
>>25932498((Who says they have a choice?))
>>25932487>>Use scanners and look for any reflections. Sniper battle.
>>25932487>Move up through cover. Get a better view, try to outflank your target.
>>25932487>>Move up through cover. Get a better view, try to outflank your target.
>>25932487Use Scanners to locate him, then move up though cover to flank.
You move through cover carefully, watching for your opponent's position. You don't hear a single shot go off, and manage to spot your target on a fifth floor window. She has no idea you're there, yet, and you're close enough to take the shot.>Take the shot now. >Surprise your target, and gather intel by whatever means are necessary.
>>25932589>Surprise your target, and gather intel by whatever means are necessary.
>>25932589>>Surprise your target, and gather intel by whatever means are necessary. We need intel on the rest of the squad
>>25932589>>Surprise your target, and gather intel by whatever means are necessary.
>>25932589Adjutant, what is the probability of us being able to capture the target alive? Also, be careful to check for traps and explosives while moving towards the target.
You decide that knowing your enemies at this point is too valuable, and head to the building's interior. You notice several recluse mines on the way up and are able to disable them silently. She won't be expecting you at all. You sneak up behind the target and knock her from the window. With your quick reflexes you catch her by her combat-computer wrist. You pull it off with her free hand. She's smaller than you, so she can't reach you with the odd punches she's throwing. Her grip isn't able to pry your hand free, either. You access the computer for her mission profile.>Loading...

You take out your silenced P-38 and smack her across the face hard enough for her mask to drop off and fall the several stories down. She stops struggling against your grip. You place the pistol to her head.>"We can do this the hard way, the easy way, or you getting a bullet in your head way. What's it gonna be?"She remains silent, staring at you with an intense hatred.>"Speak up, Charlie. If you want to live you better say something now.">"Fuck you, Delta. You went rogue. You pistol whip her, then pull her back into the room. You bind her before removing her equipment and leaving her unconscious.Your HUD registers a nearby MDF patrol. You activate your stealth reactor and make for the roof. You jump from building to building stealthily, avoiding several banshee patrols, before you spy a marine squad heading down a narrow road. Several skulls are impaled on pikes fashioned from crude scrap metal. The marine squad slows down as they approach, and raise their weapons. You move ahead to the next building for a better view. They pass a few piles of burning bodies. Before you can even attempt to signal them, a single ghost pops out from under the pile of burning corpses and steps forward. This ghost is easily identified by his black trench-coat and dual-gauss rifles. He mows the marines down as they try to flee. He looks up at you. He either knew you were there or had a lucky hunch. Either way, you feel like you recognize him.You feel like he's very, very dangerous.>Open fire. Accuracy will be hindered at this long range.>Fall back, attempt to flank him from a different angle at ground level.
>>25933129>Fall back, attempt to flank him from a different angle at ground level.
>>25933129Open fire, he can see us easily, we can't do the same for him.
>>25933129if he already knows we are there then there is no harm in taking the shot.
>>25933129>>Open fire. Accuracy will be hindered at this long range. So, we got Sniper Wolf, now we're up against Ulysees. Interesting.

>>25933129Wait, we didn't take her hostage? Damn, I leave for one minute...I guess that woulda been difficult but, from the sounds of it, they're not under complete Dominion control...they just didn't have many options.I want to know more about this one...but I guess she'll be a reoccurring villain for now.And this other ghost seems...like he needs to go down. Can we fall back and snipe him?
>>25933129Fall back. This is either Whiskey or Echo. Whiskey is more likely to be willing to join us than Echo... Confirmation of Unit Designation is vital for potential recruitment...Also, we need to ensure that Charlie is left in a safe location where she is unlikely to be either harmed, escape or rescued...
Why don't we psi his ass?
>>25933129My guess is this is Whiskey Phoenix. If correct we might be able to turn him to our side without having to engage him.

>>25933229>>3 Attempt to recruit him
>>25933229Attempt a flank, with the intent to get close enough to attempt a recruit.

>Registering Consensus. You figure it's worth a shot, and yell down to him.>"We don't have to fight, Whiskey!">"Of course we do. We are warriors, Delta. What you mean to say is that you want me to be on your side.">"The Dominion has done terrible things, you can be free! You can come with me!">"I take it you think you do not do these terrible things. That your actions are now justified, with your free will. But, oh, if you could remember what you have done... Do you remember, Delta? Do you remember the limbs of children, severed from their host? The blood of civilians flowing so thick that we couldn't move our transports through the mud it caused? The smell of Infested Civilians in containment, because the Dominion needed them for just one more test? Do you remember your idea to take the daycare hostage on Antiga Minor?"You pause, each remark bringing back vague, haunting memories. You dismiss them as nightmares.>"No. You are freed from your memories. You have your clean slate. But not me.">Awaiting input...
>>25933399"You want to wipe the slate clean? Go with me and atone, then! Help me fight the Dominion. You know what they've done, what they've had us do. Join me and we'll make sure it will never happen again!"

"You could be. You could chose to not accept those horrors any longer. If you don't. If you succeed here and the Dominion takes this planet those memories will continue. More sacrifices for a master that cares not. More nightmares. Until it become to much."
>>25933436I support that one.
>>25933399"No, your wrong, my past still haunts me in my nightmares, all the blood, the gore, the lives, but I now have a chance of redemption, and now you have yours, the chance to make things right."

You idort shoot the fuck
>>25933436>"No, your wrong, my past still haunts me in my nightmares, all the blood, the gore, the lives, but I now have a chance of redemption, and now you have yours, the chance to make things right. You could chose to not accept those horrors any longer. If you don't. If you succeed here and the Dominion takes this planet those memories will continue. More sacrifices for a master that cares not. More nightmares. Until it become to much."The ghost looks down to his weapons, in silence. He seems to be contemplating the possibility. He then looks back to you.>"No Resoc. I need to remember. >>25933516"If my crew doesn't do it first. You'd both be doing me a favor."

>>25933581ya we should tell wiskey where she is
>>25933516"Then let's ghost, Whiskey"
>>25933516...that was surprisingly easy.
>>25933590gonna say Alpha or November first
>>25933600Psychological profile on Whiskey Phoenix suggests he is attempting suicide by combat and feels that his fellow squad-mates are guilty on some level and deserve justice.
>>25933600He was listed as the most unstable one. I reckon the rest of the fight is going to be uphill from now on.As for who to take on next, let's do November. If resoc can't get rid of his accent maybe it's not working too well on the other bits.
>>25933590Even tied down I feel like leaving Charlie to deal with the rest is just an invitation to return to find her escaped somehow. But there's not many options given lugging her around would negatively impact performance on engaging an enemy (obviously she can just get dropped, but that second or two can make all the difference in a ghostfight).
>>25933590Echo, we need the numbers against his skills.
>>25933590Let's go for Alpha, just because he's probably alone, and it'd be good start there.
>>25933590Go for November next.
>>25933590November will help immensely with his Cyber-warfare I'd imagine. What're we going to do with Charlie?
>>25933590Alpha seems likely to be too loyal (surely they wouldn't leave someone with low loyalty to lead the team, especially with Zeta around with huge loyalty and apparently being really good at ghosting too since he was sole-survivor). The other two are essentially blank slates for now so who knows.
>>25933615>fellow squad-mates are guilty on some level and deserve justice.will he be a liability if he tags along with us? like it would be pretty shitty if in the middle of talking down another ghost he goes all JUSTICE! on use and shoots them in the mouth.
>>25933631Does Whiskey have a transport or something? We could dump Charlie in a locked room there.
>>25933619There are people who GAIN accents after a blow or shock to the brain.
>>25933590>alpha phoenix>wears an orange ascot>registers high on social scaleLet me guess, his name is Freddy, or Frederick? So, what, we hunting the scooby-doo gang of ghosts now?
>>25933667I am unable to calculate that probability at this time.Whiskey tends to be reserved however.
>>25933590November could prove a valuable asset. He can talk shop with our resident Super-Engineer...
>"Do you have a transport?">"We all went down in pods. There's the Dominion frontline a few miles north, but we're better off hijacking an MDF transport. That's where November is now, MDF evac center, he'll sabotage them all soon."
>>25933767ok that settles it we are going after november and we should ask wiskey what the others are doing
>>25933767just a quick question, I've just caught up on the archive, was the ghost we killed on the ship zaeed massani?
>>25933767Ok that settles it for me, let's go after November now. Can Whiskey raise him on comms, stall him or at least get an exact fix?
>>25933767Well shit, time to stop him then.
>>25933786I think he was
>>25933786((Yes. And you could've recruited him.))>>25933784>"Alpha is at the Frontline organizing Dominion occupation, and Echo is ... taking prisoners."
I can see it now, us reassembling Phoenix Team against the Dominion (minus one)They would be so fucked.
>>25933808Fuck wishi was here at the time of that, Zaeed is a goddamn badass
>>25933808well now I feel bad for voting to slit his throat
>>25933808((90+ roll on "Recruit this fucker" ?))
Vote Begins:>1 Codename: Alpha Phoenix>2 Codename: Echo Phoenix>3 Codename: November Phoenix
>>25933808>Can Whiskey raise him on comms, stall him or at least get an exact fix?
>>25933808Nah he was an asshole, way too loyal to the Dominion. Can't trust EVERYONE we meet out here...
>>25933853>3 Codename: November Phoenix
>>25933848((Nah, paragon-style Zaeed loyalty mission shoutdown.))
>>25933853November, also we should have Whiskey carry Charlie.
>>25933843I really doubt we would have been able to pull it off.he died for the dominion he loved some much best to leave it at that.
>>25933853Wait, why didn't we ask Whiskey what the others were doing and which he thought was the best initial target?
>>25933848Remember, this is the Dominion profiling, he could have just been doing what he felt he had to do, and had no other choice, the Dominion could have just took that as loyalty.
>>25933854We will stall him if necessary, otherwise it's a waste of time and potentially alerts them to Whiskey going rogue.
>>25933883What if we make him say that he's found Charlie unconscious and he needs backup to help extract her?
>>25933908We can use that scenario for luring Echo or Alpha to us. Probably Echo.

>"Alright, let's head for November first. We're going to need those transports."You walk down one of the roads, past several crucified marines that are no doubt the handiwork of Whiskey. Eventually you come up on the MDF base. Just as you're about to deactivate your stealth reactor and approach, Whiskey holds out a hand to stop you.Two dropships take off and make it about 40 feet before one of the MDF's own missile turrets turns on it and blows one of them out of the sky, then the other. Debris rains down in front of you, some of the cargo - luggage really - makes you think the transports were full of civilians.>"God damnit! Dominion are still in the system!">"I already changed the password and turned it off and back on, I dunno what else we can do sarge!" >"That's Whiskey's work. He'll be in one of these buildings. >>25934006>Other"Whiskey, raise November on comms and get him to reveal his position."
>>25934031Good one. Let Whiskey talk to him first.
>>25934031Yeah, that's a nice idea. He should say he's captured us, too.
>>25934006How many structures does the base have and do they have multiple exits?
>>25934031>>25934048>>25934056>>You choose a different option because you're difficult fucks.>"Whiskey, contact him over radio, see if we can get a fix on his position."He looks at you a moment, wondering if you're sure you wish to expose yourselves so early, but he complies.>"November, come in, this is Whiskey, over.">"Aye! Go ahead, Whiskey.">"I need a fix on your location, I've got an MDF patrol moving out.">"Report it ter Alpha, Whiskey. He'll take care o' it.">"ETA's too short, November. Need to know where I should reinforce.">"Breakin' protocol ya dumb shite. Make contact at 11.67, 91.77, an' fuckin' watch yer own operations ya bleedin' soddin' cow."Whiskey ends radio contact and looks to you.>"Once he goes dark they'll know I've gone rogue after that transmission. We'll need to work fast."
>>25934006If we do split up we need to make sure Whiskey knows we are taking everyone alive. They all deserve a chance.
>>25934137>>"Once he goes dark they'll know I've gone rogue after that transmission.Good point, once we turn him we need to have him check in regularly and maintain Whiskey's cover.
>>25934137Er...call me harsh, but I don't know if Ican stand that accent.I say we take em out.
You take point and move to the coordinates, it's a multi-story building overlooking the MDF base. You clear the floors one by one, mostly abandoned apartments, some of them are looted, some of the have blood stains.Eventually you reach one of the upper floors and November is sitting on a couch with a small computer set up on the Coffee table. You unholster your pistol and sneak up behind him, then put the gun to his head. >"November Phoenix.">"Delta, lass! I've missed yer sweet voice, I 'ave.">Awaiting input...

Alpha might be harder to convince but he may come around to our side, but I think that Echo is only in it for the Booms, and the Dominion give him all the space and supplies to do that, so we'll have to put him down.

>>25934554Problem is we don't remember what the promise is. And if it's related to us all being a family or whatever, then killing them does us NO favors. We already killed the oldest guy, basically team dad.

So I just got here.Sonnuvabitch, that was our chance to recruit Zaeed?FUUUUUUUCK.
You have your fellow rogue ghosts radio in false information to keep their guise up, for now at least. November can fake the origin position of signals well enough that no one will look twice.>1 Alpha>2 Echo>3 CharlieVote in the order that you want these 3 visited.
>>25934572hmmmm, Since Alpha is a Soc specilist, he is likely keeping Dominion Morale high, but Echo seems to be planning to either mass execute the Civies, use them as hostages then kill them, or fill a couple of ships with explosives, and use the Civies as a Trojan Horse to take out the Murric Fleet...Based on current information, Echo is liable to kill the civies if Alpha goes dark.Save the Civies, then remove the Dominion Operational Leadership...
>>25934609I doubt it, it was probably never leaving her behind or something like that. Could be in the sisterhood way or lesbian-lover way, who knows.
>>25934572Is Charlie still in contact with them? So we can keep up the masquerade that Whiskey hasn't gone rogue?

>>25934727Yeah, we can always just send Whiskey to hoof it on foot over to Charlie.
>>25934727It'll be a quick pick up, hopefully. Charlie is probably still unconscious anyway....probably.
>>25934727with Charlie, all we are doing is going back, grabbing her and putting her in the Dropship with November and Whiskey... not like we are going to have a 1 hour duel to the death or convert her there... The plan for Charlie was to do the talking back on the Daluke...
>>25934797As long as she doesn't sway November to fuck off with the dropship while we and Whiskey deal with Echo.
>>25934727While that may be true, we have to make sure Charlie didn't somehow wake up and is about to escape. Or be found by the MDF which would make quite unpleasant. By that I mean we'd probably find her full of holes/unrecognizable mess (Probably not actually, but still.)
>3, 2, 1You decide to pick up Charlie, first. Maybe with a couple rogue ghosts you'll be able to convince her as well. You make for the building where you knocked her unconscious, and it's a significant amount of backtracking. As you make the trip you notice something very large enter the atmosphere. You recognize the hammerhead shape, it's a battlecruiser. Although too far out for you to identify any features, if you had to guess it's smaller and would be one of the Dominion ships. It breaks in half, and a large explosion nearly blinds you as it touches down on the planet's surface. You land on the building's roof. Charlie is still unconscious where you left her. You load her into the transport and make for Echo's location.>1 Have November fly the ship while you and Whiskey shoot at the Dominion installation from above.>2 Land and attempt to infiltrate and find Echo for recruitment.
>>25934844>2Also, ask November what the fuck Echo is doing with the civilians anyway
>>25934844>2With all of those civilians in the cross-fire, let's do this quietly.

>>25935017Fucking this. We have a hacker specialist now, let's use him to the fullest.Alternatively, draw him out with Whiskey. Have him hail Echo and tell him he's captured us. That's sure to get Echo excited.
>>25935017>>25935045We are still in theirs comms. Whiskey and November haven't been reported as rogue yet.And they're going full radio-silence as to not get detected.
>>25935087Well, if we're in their comms, let's listen in!
You bypass the defenses without incident. You'll need to disable them before freeing any civilians, however. You pass by several civilian holding cells, effectively chain-link boxes, on your way to the center of the base. Defense is fairly light, only a handful of marines and a few APC's without pilots. Eventually you come to the Landing Pad, with a large steel container with a marine positioned at each Corner. Echo Phoenix stands at the entrance to the crate. As you approach it you can sense some sort of Psionic being inside. It's a familiar presence until you recognize what it is.>"He has an infestor?"The cage shakes violently and Echo jumps back with an audible "Crikey! That made 'er mad!">"Aye lass, crazy sunnuvabitch has an infestor.">Lure Echo outside of the base using one of your rogue operatives.>Set the infestor free and release the civilians in the chaos. Let the Dominion deal with the infestor.

Echo is way too nuts. Frankly all of these Ghosts are a time bomb but Echo is a nutter that's going to make Whiskey double mad.
>>25935381Oh come on, his bio said extreme loyalty. There was no way anyone was going to try recruiting Zeta without word of god, which would obviously never appear until he was dealt with.
>>25935395He has a pistol to his head, and he's a goddamn Ghost. Plus he knows we're here, it's risky as fuck.
>>25935302>>Try to shoot him down.Waste the mother fucker.
>>25935440We didn't even have access to his bio until we got here.
the biggest reason we didn't recruit Zeta was because Delta remembered recieving orders from him that were reprehensible to the extreme.
Let's try to control him like we did the other ghost in the race with Henderson.
>>25935427He will use them as weapon. Sooner or later it will happen.

>>25935485"Ever talked to a Protoss before, Echo? I have, some philosophical people"
>>25935528No he brought the infestor along so he could listen to the soothing sounds of it dripping slime all over the place. He was going to infest them. He will, given the chance, still infest them.Shoot him already.
>>25935485"And now I want no part of it. You can choose to walk away too you know."
>>25935543Through the heart if we can. Gotta keep him in character you know.
>>25935509>"Nothing natural about zerg. They were created don't you know?">"Now 'at's where you're wrong, Delta! >>25935485"I'm not going to pretend to have some moral high ground here, Echo. But I'm free from the Dominion now, and I'm going after them. And I'm offering you a chance to go with me. I won't ask twice."
>>25935543Because Whiskey was a saint before we recruited him.How about you give him a fucking chance first?
>>25935533Good distraction line, if his focus shifts enough to us that we can take the shot with and 75% chance of success, lets do it.
>>25935485>You know the Dominion won't let you study Zerg OR Protoss. I can make it happen, how about it Echo?
>>25935485We all commited sins that will scar our soul for eternity, but we can seek redemption. We can make all the horrors of dominion stop. There are more ways to study zerg than just releasing them on test subjects.
>>25935572This is flat-out wrong.
>>25935517I think killing him might put Whiskey back against us, and that's not a good idea. We went for talking, we should go on with it.
>>25935561I still think he's too far gone...but let's try at least"Are you really so loyal to the Dominion Echo? Or is it just the Zerg you love so much?"
>>25935572Fuck no, get out.
>>25935572>"At's where yer Wrong, Deltah. I had samples of both on me ship before you went and ruined 'em. Only one I got left is outside. Our whole mission until you shoed up and they sent us here was hunting down Zerg and Protoss beauties."
this guy is unrepentant... I think I'm gonna vote for shooting him now unless someone comes up with some scintellating dialogue
>>25935485"I can give you two choices, listen to me, or get shot in the head, your move mate."
>>25935485>"Oh yeah, now that you've gone rogue you want everyone else on your grand adventcha!"yeah actually and just last week I killed the biggest feral ultralisk you have ever seen on a protoss world. come with me and this little "adventcha" will probably be more interesting then anything you will see with the dominion.
>>25935485We are specialized in psionics, guys. Why the hell aren't we using it to control his ass?
>>25935582If we sway him to our side by promising Zerg study, him and Whiskey will get into a massive fight eventually. Lets save ourselves the trouble and just kill this unstable bastard now.
>>25935585Somehow I doubt Whiskey is going to miss a guy who uses Zerg as a weapon against civilians. Whiskey doesn't like the things he's done and he gave us explicit instructions not to do exactly what Echo is doing. Somehow I doubt they're exactly pen pals.
>>25935615Because we don't have Mind Control genius.
>>25935584Hmm, I thought they were against soldiers studying them. Oh well, the more you know,NEVERMIND THIS THEN >>25935572
>>25935609Let's...uh not reveal we'll shoot him. We still have the surprise option for now.

Still advocating we waste him and move on.
>>25935485"So you're not up for adventure then? Tell me, What is it that the Dominion has that keeps you with them?"
>>25935626What do you call what we did to Rider X?

>>25935562This.Why is the best option ignored by everyone?
>>25935642Use psionics, read his mind.
>>25935642>Attempt to read surface thoughts
>>25935605But why be a lapdog of dominion? You can evolve like the zerg and become the hunter of hunters. And what about the protoss? You studied them too right? You know they have ideals worth fighting for. And getting revenge for something lost is among them.
>>25935615Mind control is extremely difficult and you do not have the required training to mind control a ghost operative who has training to resist you, Delta Phoenix.>>25935631>"An' we're nothin' but bio weapons for the Dominion, innit? That make us unnatural, Delta?"
>>25935642"I know a few Protoss you can talk with. True talk, no tools or reports."

>Both at once
>"Take up sniping positions. November, get inside their defense grid, have them start shooting at eachother."You take up a spot and wait. Hopefully the Infestor doesn't get freed in the chaos. The APC turrets open fire on the marines and you take that as your que. You take off a few heads before you notice the infestor crate was opened in an act of desperation. You lob a hellfire grenade at the armored monstrosity, hoping to kill it before any damage is done, but the shot goes wide and lands in a civilian holding cell. Half a dozen people are bacon faster than you can redirect all squad fire on the infestor and take it down. Why you decided to wait until the heat of battle to fire the grenade at it will probably haunt you for some time. You continue to fire over the screaming civilians. You leave the building after the last marine on sensors reads dead. "November, Whiskey. Let the civilians out. Point them in the right direction... then meet me at the transport."Sensors read 9 dead civilians as you pass by the cage. You try to ignore it.>Loading...

>>25936415Shit, so you didn't have a killboner for Steve?Clearly those votes to kill him were hallucinatory then.
Guys the 'HATRED OF DOMINION' spiell wouldn't have won him over anyway. He didn't hate them. He just liked that they let him study the Zerg. The best way to get on his good side owuld have probably been sharing our moment agianst the ultralisk and winning the Daluke and promising more oppurtunities like it.
>>25936442huh, speaking of protoss training, want to get a scythe or a psyblade?
Guys, not-Steve Irwin is dead. Adjutant won't bring him back, let's just try bring the rest of the of the Phoenixes on our side.

>>25936465It's too late for what ifs anyway. He was crazy and honestly? I'd feel less safe with him on board. Knowing our luck, he'd have wanted to take every zerg hostage he could. I don't have faith in our dice to 'keep the zerg prisoners and not infest the ship' rolls.
>>25936389>What ELSE was he going to do with an Infestor?biological study the dude was a xeno expert. everything I have seen makes me think the guy was re-securing his specimens that were stored on the ship we blew up in orbit
>>25936491Nope, the old King must die for the new Queen to take over...Plus his profile points to him being charismatic as anything, he might even be blue to convince us to change sides if we let him.
>>25936485Last person is Alpha... and I don't trust him at all. Hes the only one after Zeta I'd say kill on sight.
>>25936505Mainly because of the Zerg thing. And the 'conditions' it would've taken to make him come over to our sideYou don't fuck with the Zerg.
Your last objective is Alpha Phoenix. Leader of the squad. He's at the head of a heavily entrenched position, and if the Dominion wasn't bad enough you're going to have to be careful of MDF airstrikes and artillery. The transport flies silently, you suspect watching people die from something as horrible as a hellfire grenade might have something to do with it. Or the lingering possibility that Echo wasn't going to infest those civilians. It's all in the past now, though. You need to choose an approach.>Have Whiskey and November infiltrate the battle line and kidnap Alpha for interrogation.>Have November disable security, causing the Dominion lines to collapse.
>>25936491Of course we recruit him. I want to ask November and Whiskey about Alpha, what he's like, what makes him tick, anything in particular we need to know to turn him.
>>25936536>Have November disable security, causing the Dominion lines to collapse.
>>25936532All of our dialogue was being pants-on-head retarded, plus you killed before he made any fucking conditions.
>>25936513Why the fuck was he ROUNDING UP CIVILIAN PRISONERS on the same site he was re-securing the specimens at? Remember, Whiskey said he was rounding up civilians. Nothing about securing specimens in the mission profile.
>>25936465>The best way to get on his good side owuld have probably been sharing our moment agianst the ultraliskexcept people did see>>25935753>>25935610
>>25936536>>Have Whiskey and November infiltrate the battle line and kidnap Alpha for interrogation.
>>25936536>>Have November disable security, causing the Dominion lines to collapse.
>>25936536>Have November Disable security, causing Dominion Lines to collapseWe have a hacker now, sure as heck can use him. Besides... I have the oddest feeling that Alpha isn't the type to run away once he realizes he's the last one left.
>Have November disable security, causing the Dominion lines to collapse. This! Remember Alpha isn't really the objecting here. Its helping the planet vs the dominion.
>>25936536>Whiskey and Delta kidnap>November disables security
>>25936538>"He's purely recon, intel, and psyops. He's not much in a fight. More than a marine or whatever, sure, but he's not even half as good as November's worthless hide.">"Awww, stoppit laddie, ye'll make me blush.">"He's going to rely on auxiliary forces mostly."
>>25936536How entrenched is he? What sort of defenses are there? Are there sensors active currently?
>>25936561Who knows? You guys fucking killed him before we could get it out of him.
>>Have November disable security, causing the Dominion lines to collapse. This will lure him to us.
>>25936564ya but they were to little to late
>>25936536guys, we want the Dominion on the world to capitulate. Best to screw their lines. Then Alpha'll have to run or surrender
>>25936586The frontline extends for several kilometers. It is lined with marines, marauders, bunkers, turrets, siege tanks, widow mines, and viking patrols.
>>25936583Second, do both.Alpha still doesn't know we've converted his old team.
>>25936623Hack the widow mines' IFF. That'll take out the siege tanks and vikings (hopefully). Hack the turrets as well.
>>25936639He'll know after Echo went fucking silent.
>>25936639I'd rather not risk Whiskey and November. Besides he might have a hint since the others started going Dark and then they show up alive and well asking for something. It's how Echo knew to grab Whiskey. Lets just take down the lines.
>>25936583Doing both puts our forces at risk of MDF strikes.
>>25936708Good point. We can do the latter on a time delay/on our way out then.
>>25936536Have November disable security. Whiskey can offer Alpha an evac...
The guy was going to infest them but was probably going to wait until there was a chance to use the infestation as a proper morale detractor against the MDF. Might have even tried to blame us. The infester needed to die and he was between us and it.>Double tap, double tap all the things
>>25936561Or you know, he could've re-purposed those cages after all his shit went up in smoke.
You're coming up on the LZ. Deployment is required.>1 Have Whiskey and November infiltrate the battle line and kidnap Alpha for interrogation.>2 Have November disable security, causing the Dominion lines to collapse.
>>25936708Nevermind THAT then.((On a side note, were you making rolls with those speech-lines or was there a specific thing we had to say))
>>25936734I love how you sprout that off with no proof at all.
>>25936770((Little of A, little of B.))
>>25936754The civilians were herded into wire fence enclosures that wouldn't hold any zerg.

>>25936823Because I wanted to fucking recruit him?Oh shit, did that possibility never occur to you?
>>25936839Won't hold a zerg. Maybe a few zerglings, but they can burrow underneath it. You really need a reinforced crate. There was just one such crate in the base.

>>25936856Not that guy, but we were all trying to recruit him.

>>25936878And what makes you think it'll hold infested?Hell, what makes you think he'll need infested?
>>25936897We needed someone to look after the kids...
>>25936895No, the majority let him die, how is that recruiting?
>>25936882Man, I love how you throw baseless accusations without any proof.I mean that's all there's to it in your arguments, baseless impulsive shit without any proof.
>>25936912we tried to recruit him and that failed. No one was coming up wiht a brilliant speech to convince him.At that point it was time kill him.
>>25936895The dialogue was half-assed at best and outright moronic at worst.Plus you lot let him die.
>>25936930Same can be said for you, reallyYou had no proof he DIDN'T intend to do that.Just sayin.
>>25936912I for one let him die because I didn't want to risk Echo reverse the situation and kill Whiskey

>>25937101Echo was sorta a lost cause I hate to say.Alpha totally ain't dead. He's going to sneak out from under our bed later tonight.
>>25937101Two of the most unstable and future conflict probe characters you mean.We converted 2 - likely to be 3. That's a good days work in my books. /tg/ has some weird obsession with collecting every possible free NPC and adding them to the party.
>>25937101Oh shut up. This easily could have been a mission where the only option was to kill all of them. It would've been just as interesting and possible for Adjutant to do. Stop bitching and be grateful we have two new very useful Ghosts on our side, along with mission success.

>>25937182((Not the recruitment part. The part afterwards where you blew up the infestor. Those are where your rolls got fucked.))
>>25937207You sure it's not because we ended up killing them?Zeta apparently sent us on some messed up missions which, admittedly would've been cool to learn about, but...IC, I don't think Delta would've been okay with that.Echo was just nuts for Zerg. I'd feel nervous with him on board honestly.
