Housed in Ravenclaw and from a noble Pureblood family Millicent has a good understanding of the wizarding world, yet struggles with terms such as ‘mudblood’ and seeing house elfs as anything more than servants.>all the art and relevant images:https://rapidshare.com/files/2116193682/millicent%20fauxley%20and%20the%20trident%20of%20some%20douchebag.zipYEAR ONE - pastebin:http://pastebin.com/4GnjPuA8Hi, everyone. Glad to be back.
The gleaming red train barrells along track towards the castle, with every fibre of your body you feel an unrelenting excitement to get back and return to the that place full of magic and danger. Everything has changed from the first year; you're no longer the closed minded little witch you was before, yet you know you still have much to learn. Your sister couldn't be any more different either, she's almost become a new person. Someone who relies and needs you more than you would like. When you look into her eyes you can see traces of the old Maud - will she ever return? The train ride fills longer than it should. You talk with your friends about their summers, share in some chocolate frogs and some every flavor beans (you got earwax) and discuss your plans for the year.Joel, who has been quiet for most of the journey, starts a smaller conversation with you from the rest of the group. 'I just want you to know that this year isn't going to be like last year, okay?' he says, scratching his head of hair which has been cut short and spikey. >'I hope so, are you going to try out for the quidditch team?'>'Yeah, I hope we can talk a lot more this year, get to know one another better'>'Do you think it's a good idea to have the headmaster tutor us? I'm wondering if it's such a good idea'>other
>>25585458>'I hope so, are you going to try out for the quidditch team?'Also let me say that it is dam good to have you back for you were sorely missed.
>>25585516>"I'd hope not, I'm pretty sure I burnt through seven years worth of excitement."
>>25585516'What, you mean no paranoia, evil teachers or emotional exhaustion? But how will I pass the time?'
>>25585585This.Also welcome back OP! Missed you. and Millie
>>25585585This is actually the perfect answer.
>>25585516>'I hope so, are you going to try out for the quidditch team?'We shall be the Grim Reaper of the Quidditch Pitch yet!
holy shit it's back
I assumed this was dead, it's been months. Luckily it's the start of the year so hopefully we don't have to remember much.Supporting >>25585585.
I love you, HPQuest
'What, you mean no paranoia, evil teachers or emotional exhaustion? But how will I pass the time?' you say, half-joking. 'It'll be alright' says Joel, 'I'm sure it won't be too long before we find ourselves winning the quidditich cup, I think I'm going to try for seeker'>I'm going to try for beater. It suits me. >Does sports run in your family?>Do you remember what happened in the headmaster's study? You know the moment when Bergle showed his true colors. I had a...vision. What do you think that's about?
>>25585677Well, there's still the whole thing with Maud and our parents. Salazar Slytherin is a dick, even in death.Sam is back but he's a bit of a catboy. We're still not exactly sure about Robert.Charles is a weasely little dick. Our inner self is very incisive. And Olivia is still our BFF.
>>25585730>I'm going to try for beater. It suits me.As for the vision, I don't remember it, I'll need to look back through the archive.
>>25585730>Does sports run in your familyJust like him, to pick the most important position.
>>25585730>Does sports run in your family? We should be a keeper dammit!
>>25585730>I'm going to try for beater. It suits me.
>>25585763>not oliviacaptcha: aciofp probably
>>25585730Wasn't our vision just our immediate future, with Bergle about to attack us?
Iv started reading harry potter fanfiction.I blame you all.
>>25585833I stay away from it.Unless it's about other characters of course.
>>25585730>Do sports run in your family?Do we know anything about Joel's fambly?
'I'm going to try for beater, that suits me' you say. Joel shrugs 'I think you would make a better keeper, but then again you've got a beater's build'You're not sure how to take that. You change the subject a little. 'So does your family have a history in wizarding sports?''Yeah, but not quidditch' says Joel 'My dad was real big on regulated wizarding duels when he was at Hogwarts'You've heard all about those. From single matches to teams of eight per side a regulated duel takes place between opponents. It's a game of showmanship and skill that can sometimes result in contestants earning a one way ticket to the hostipal ward. >Yeah, I don't think that's for me.>If I did that I'm sure I'd burn the school down>Can 2nd years do that?>other
>>25585932>Can second years do that? Seems way more up our alley than quidditch.
>>25585932"I'm pretty sure I've been preemptively banned from doing that."
>>25585932>Yeah, I don't think that's for me.Dueling? Booooring!
>HP Quest is BACK
>>25585932>Can 2nd years do that?Dueling and Quidditch, our two best stats.
>>25585965Sounds about right.
>>25585932>Can 2nd years do that?
'Can second years do that?' you ask, pretty sure that you've been preemptively banned from doing that. 'They only bring it into schools as a way of getting students motivated about defense against the dark arts, the competition makes people work harder' says Joel 'but yeah do yourself a favor and take a back seat to that'The journey comes to an end as you arrive at the school, meet Mr. Gleesan by the gates and take the carriages up to the castle. You feel a peaceful calm sweep over you as trees pass by, the night light and the moon shining beautifully. Sam, who has been frantically catching up with everyone, points to spots in the trees which he called home for a short while. 'I miss the tail the most' he says 'that was awesome'>Catch up with sam>stay quiet till you reach the castle>other
>>25585932Can second years do that? Second years need to be able to do that.
>>25586165>Catch up with Sam
>>25586165'How much do you remember from being a cat anyway? Did readjusting to being human again pose a problem?'
>>25586165Catch up with Sam.Can we misbrew him some polyjuice?
You decide to catch up with Sam. You scoot up next to him whilst the others talk amongst themselves. 'Was everything okay after last year?' you ask. Sam, who's still heavy on the babyfat, grins and, much like another one of your friends, is quite shocked to see you starting a conversation with him. 'Well' he says 'It sucked at first because I was behind on my school grades, and turning into a werecat everynight was a pain' he pauses 'just kidding, sometimes I feel like I still have a tail even though I know it's not there. It's weird'>I bet, I'm glad you're okay now. >What did your parents have to say?>other
>>25586393>>What did your parents have to say?Wanna know this.
>>25586393This >>25586195 now. Also ask if he managed to catch up on his studies, academic success is always relevant to our interests.I laughed at the mere idea of Millicent joining a dueling club. With her luck she'd end up permanently disfiguring someone.
>>25586393>What did your parents have to say?
>>25586437>implying she wouldn't become feared for her skills
>>25586477>Implying she would't end up in Azkaban for her "Crucio!"Jokes aside, it might have turned out okay, with medics standing by.
'How much do you remember from being a cat anyway? Did readjusting to being human again pose a problem?'Sam shrugs 'not really, a little bit of madam hooches' formula and I was pretty much back to how I was, a couple annoyances and ticks aside. After a week there wasn't any real problem. Cats seem to follow me around though'A rush of air flow quickly from your nose in what is a little giggle. You make a mental note not to do that again. Ever. 'Were your parents okay with it all?''Well they didn't really understand any of it. I'm muggleborn so a lot of it goes over their heads'>You're muggleborn too? So's Olivia. >Have you heard of The Queen? Their music is splendid!>other
>>25586611>Have you heard of The Queen? Their music is splendid! The Queen makes good music indeed!
>>25586611What's it like living with muggles?
>>25586698>just got back from living with a muggle family
>mfw HPQuest is backFUCKING NEAT.jpg
>>25586611>Have you heard of The Queen? Their music is splendid!D'uh.
>>25586738Because a cats the only cat, who knows where it's at.
>>25586611"I'm thinking of trying out for the Quidditch team, are you going to?"
>>25586819Probably not, but you never know. He might have some sort of background and such.
>>25586611>You're muggleborn too? So's Olivia. >Have you heard of The Queen? Their music is splendid!Man, all this character development. It's like I don't even know you anymore, Millicent.
>>25586698Well, I kind of feel we know what's it like and he does come from a muggle family.Sounds like a "spaghetti" question to me.
>>25586988Here, have some royal pugs to cheer you up.
>>25587028consider me cheered up. Heartily laughed.
>>25586756>yfw Sam was O'malley the Alley Cat.
>>25586611>You're muggleborn too? So's Olivia. >Have you heard of The Queen? Their music is splendid!
>>25586611Millie should definitely try out for the Choir with Olivia, they would rock the school.Introduce a little bit of muggle music for inspiration, and write a new genre, Freddy's Fantastic Magical Music Mashup. Seems like a headliner for one of his shows if you ask me.
'I was thinking about joining the quidditch team...how about you?''The only thing I'll be joining is the library study group, my parents will send me to whatever the wizard equivelent of summer school is if I don't have decent grades this year'You then both dive into an enjoyable discussion about the works of The Queen, who you are told are actually just Queen. 'They're my favorite band actually' says Sam 'Freddie Mercury is a sort of hero of mine. He's the reason I started singing when I was little. I haven't done that in a while though'>You can sing? You should show me sometime. >Yeah...being in a band might be cool. >I wish I could play an instrument. A toad or something. >other
Sam, olivia, millie, joel, robert, harriet, maud...who am I missing?
>>25587196>Millie should definitely try out for the Choir with Olivia, they would rock the school. Now, that's an idea.
>>25587198>You can sing? You should show me sometime. >Yeah...being in a band might be cool.
>>25587198Wait, Sam sings too...Olivia, Sam, Millie, damn, we should ask who else sings, does Maude sing, does Joel?Millies Majestical Magical Miracle Mashup will rock the wizarding world.
>>25587198>>I wish I could play an instrument. A toad or something.
>>25587198>other"We should get together with Olivia and listen to more music in the genre of Queen sometime."
The "The Queen" option makes me wonder if we've switched from being Raven to being Starfire.
>>25587296I can go with this actually. It has my vote.
>>25587306Perhaps we're a hybrid of both?
>>25587306perhaps more trauma is needed?
>>25587198>I wish I could play an instrument. A toad or something.Awww man.
>>25587306It's a new year, time for things to change, who else is in the car with us right now HP? For what it's worth I think anon is on to something here>>25587196Wizard/Witch bands start somehow right?
>>25587350We're going to be truly outrageous, truly truly outrageous!
'You can sing? You should show me sometime. Being in a band might be cool, not like I can play anything though, not even a toad'Sam scratches his chin as a curious thought comes to him. 'You know...if you wanted we could hang out at lunch sometime and, I dunno, like write a song?'You can tell he's choosing his words carefully. Likely worried you're going to flipout on him.>That sounds fun. >I...don't think that's such a good idea. >No thanks>other
>>25587480>that sounds funthis can't possibly go wrong
>>25587480>That sounds fun, we should invite Olivia too though, and maybe joel if he's interested. Maybe I'll even ask Maude if she's not busy with her studies, she's way smarter than me and probably better at writing songs too. That friendzone.
>>25587536Inadvertent friendzoning of the first guy who might actually like you, good job millie, you are the best socially inept witch virtuoso noodle singer.
>>25587480"That would be...interesting. We could give it a try, if you'd like."
>>25587536THIS.Not necessarily because of friendzoning, it's just that we're really excited about the idea. what with our recent introduction to muggle music.
>>25587480>I...don't think that's such a good idea."I don't think ready to put feelings on paper for all the world to hear just yet."
>>25587536Millie, you're terrible, and I love ya for it.This HP, This.
>>25587556>Inadvertent friendzoning of the first guy who might actually like youWhat about Robert?
>>25587581We didn't even invite him into our treasure hunting either.
>>25587536Where do we even can get our hands on electric guitar anyway?
>>25587609We could probably pimp up a regular guitar with magic and glitter.
>>25587625Also, who's to say there's not a Ye Magickal Instrument Shoppe in Diagon Alley? Perhaps they have a catalog so we can order something by mail?Something worth considering, should the subject become pertinent in the future.
>>25587581what about Robert?
>>25587536Friendzoning is okay, but let's limit it to just him and mille for now. Joel will want to steal the show from Sam (who deserves some development of his own), and Olivia will support Joel's decision. We can expand the band later, once Sam and Millie have seniority (and thus won't be shoved into the background).
>>25587663He's going to be a drummer or bassist, that's about it.
tfw it feels like no time has passed at all'That sounds fun, we should invite Olivia too though, and maybe joel if he's interested. Maybe I'll even ask Maude if she's not busy with her studies, she's way smarter than me and probably better at writing songs too.'Sam loses none of his zeal as smiles with a broad grin. 'Great, Nigel's pretty damn good at the guitar so he's in too'You both talk about muggle music a little more before you reach the castle and enter with the mass of others into the great hall. The ceiling sparkles with the night sky and hundreds of floating candles. Several of the other older years have alredy taken their seats as they watch you enter. As you walk to your seats with your friends you can't help but feel like you're on display. Some watch you from the corners of their eyes and others, most from the slytherin table, make no effort to hide the fact they're talking about you. '...I hear she cursed the teacher...''...yeah I bet she should have been in slytherin...'You catch the sight of Charles who looks right back. His unflinching gaze narrows as he doesn't like the sight of you, shifting in his seat as Robert finds a seat nearby. You sit next to between Olivia and Nigel and do your best to ignore what the others are saying. >Talk to Olivia and Nigel about the band>Sit quietly for the first year sorting>other
>>25587708Nope, you need at least five people for a band - lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist, bassist, drummer and singer. We gotta do this properly or not at all.>>25587625Seconding this!
>>25587723Talk about forming a band, maybe glance over in Maud's direction, make sure she's not being bullied?
>>25587750>hasn't played in a wizard band
>>25587723>Sam loses none of his zeal as smiles with a broad grin.
>>25587723>Ask Nigel how his summer went.Want to wait with the band thing a bit, and we already know what Olivia did because duh.
>>25587723Sam, this is a feels I know you and I share, but I had to do it. Otherwise you won't be able to have a tabloid fueling band breakup later.
>>25587723Be overexcited about the band, but don't let it show. Barely contain your squee.
>>25587770Yeah, lets wait till dinner till we mention the band bit, idle banter right now, see what Nigel was busy doing this summer.
>>25587723That reminds me, shouldn't they held a Christian mass at Hogwarts term opening, it's modeled after British public school after all?
>>25587723>otherReturn Charles' glare, then talk to Olivia about the school subjects for this year.We both love studying.
>>25587723>Sit quietly for the first year sortingSomeone useful/interesting might turn up
>>25587769that fucking gif. Has to be fake.
>>25587901nope, the gif itself isn't fake, the situation is, not how their pneumatic hoses aren't actually connected to the "air compressor"?
Let's see, we broke Charles' wand. What else should we do to him? Maybe we need to hurt him some more before he realizes we are not to be trifled with.
>>25587964>we broke Charles' wand>hu hu huh
You glare right back at Charles who is distracted by one of his friends. As you watch the Slytherin's talking Robert is speaking to no one. His decision to socialize outside of the Slytherin house has cost him more than you realized. Who knows what other ways he might have to deal with his choice. -Stopping here for now. I started at a funny time and am pretty tired. I'll be back tomorrow at an earlier time. Great to be back. Rock on.
>>25588094Thanks Kind SirEstimated time of return?

>>25591704Cool, not even halfway to autosage if you feel like continuing.
>>25592136I like your thinking.
Since the Beater is mostly for keeping the Quaffle away, should we be the Chaser instead if we want to be an interceptor and someone who strikes fear in the hearts of other players?
>>25592200They also direct the Quaffles into opponents.
>>25592200> Joel shrugs 'I think you would make a better keeper, but then again you've got a beater's build'What does that mean? Is he calling us fat?
>>25592200Beaters can be feared. If you take someone off a broom with a facebludger they will fear you.
>>25592379we've got manarms.nothing wrong with manarms.

Ooooooooooo, Millicent quest.I thought you choked on bottled water and died OP.
>>25592409Well, our strength is only just on the lower end of average. Our endurance is well above average, though.
>>25592704Either way it's just swatting a self-propelled ball with a bat to change its flight path.
by the way, is quidditch still as-cannon here, are you going to "fix" it?/40 point snitch
>>25592979I'll probably spend an afternoon figuring it out.
>>25593055Well if its up for discussion, just a straight point cut is probably the way to go. At 40 points catching the snitch can still be decisive but Its at least a tactical decision to be made. If it wont swing a game do you nab it to stop the bleeding(as league rank is based on score not just wins) or just block the other guy and hope your team can close the gap before it shows up again? If its worth 150 fucking points there's never a reason to not grab. no one is ever that far down. and if you are that far down your team isn't coming back from it because you are being teabagged. The 6 other people on the team have been rendered totally irrelevant. If you need to justify it, just site the quiddicth reform of [11 years before the quest is set] where the intl. quidditch federation changed the rules after a professional team showed up with a keeper and 6 seekers and ruined everyone asshole for 3 years.
Waaah I stumble upon the first HPQ in months and its over :(
>>25593693I thought the large point value of the snitch was due to championships not being decided by wins or loses but by point count. A team could win the final match of the season but still lose the cup due to points
>>25594082No, the large point value of the snitch is due to the protagonist being a seeker and him being responsible for just under half of the entire teams score is good for the story. It doesn't matter that this makes almost everyone on the team utterly irrelevant because its not the kind of story where that sort of thing needs to stand up to examination. We are neither a seeker not in that kind of story.
