All is in readiness.Ahote has made his charms of ash and birch. Your birds have shown you Nalus's hideout. The Pack is ready to tear Nalus to shreds; the Tin Soldiers are at attention. The Huntsman salutes you with his flawless bone spear, and Ahote with his runed birch spear. No-one speaks. They all are waiting patiently for your order.> Did you wish to bring Scarlet on the mission to interrogate and eat Nalus, or would you prefer that she hold down the castle while you are gone?
You are Isabella Katarina Markova, twelfth of the line of Carmilla, thirteen generations from Dracula, the First. This places you with enough blood and power to make you a minor noble in Shadescast, the city of vampires, and possess your own castle- which does not necessarily have normal geometry, and which is not always in the same place. Though your physical appearance is that of a young girl, you are actually three and a half centuries old. You spend your time responding to requests from other vampires for lore, and holding tea parties and other social events, both with humans and vampires. On occasion, you indulge in adding one or two of them to your collection of porcelain dolls...Recently, you were attacked by a human vampire hunter who managed to temporarily kill you. Upon rising from death, you turned him into your faithful hound... but first he managed to majorly deface your castle and burn a portion of your library, including some hard-to-replace texts. Signs point to him having been hired by a rival vampire... one who was here, and took one of your dolls. Your current suspect is a blockheaded bat named Nalus. You have turned the Mayor of Mark into your soft, gooey servant. This is useful to you due to your airship yard there, which you got for a song off of a fellow vampiric noble by the name of Blackford. The deal took a little screaming at the foreman, but once it was sorted out, you returned to your castle…Which was when you found that one of your servants had disappeared. Fortunately, Scarlet, one of your Dolls' creations, dragged her back to the Castle for you. In return, Scarlet was given the girl as her servant.Five minutes later, you almost ate Scarlet after taking backlash from a failed scrying attempt. Since then, your head maid has attempted to assassinate you with cutlery and is being held as an experiment, and you started to organize a trap for Nalus with the help of an Ulvenwald native.
>>25301363It's getting harder and harder to fit the story-so-far into 2,000 characters. So here's the archive of past threads:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Vampire+Doll+QuestThe first thread can be found here:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/24964444/Isabella's Character sheet:http://pastebin.com/Dz7QgMM0
>>25301344>>25301363>>25301369This is me, but you knew that already. Let's get this quest on the road.
Ask Scarlet for her opinion in a dismissive manner.
Scarlet isn't really designed for combat, especially with the bloodlust thing. She can stay and hold down the castle. I also think leaving half the tin soldiers behind and under her control would be a prudent idea as well.Aside from that, give the order: SEARCH AND DESTROY.
Probably best to leave her at home. The fact that her hunger spikes just by seeing death could be a complication.
>>25301584>>25301414>>25301388>>25301388Scarlet stands off to one side, watching as you prepare."Scarlet. Did you wish to come along?"She shakes her head."Not that it wouldn't be enjoyable, milady, but the journey is rather far and you need someone to represent you while you're away."You nod. Scarlet isn't made for combat; she's more like you. That's why you have servants, after all. Who has the time to dirty their hands with this sort of thing?"Very well then. You, the six tin soldiers on the left. Obey Scarlet as if she were me until I return to the castle. The rest of you, we ride for Nalus' domain!"> Continued
>>25301599You hoist yourself up onto the vast, chitinous dog-beast that was once a Hunter that tried to kill you, and spur it forward. The Pack follows behind you, its bipedal members keeping up with it easily. You note with interest that Ahote, despite being a mere mortal, is as fast and as tireless as any of your hounds. You easily maintain that pace all day, but then finally the hounds, Huntsman and Ahote need to rest, though the tin soldiers are as implacable as ever. You, of course, do not need to sleep. Unfortunately, you have problems with sunlight that make travel during the day impossible; so you have Ahote find a hiding place for you: a cave that, until recently, held a bear of massive size. That bear is now feeding Ahote and the Pack after their hard day's journey, along with the provisions the Tin Soldiers have been carrying. The day is long and boring. There is little to do in the cave, and most everyone else is asleep- and the Tin Soldiers are terrible conversationalists. You while away the daylight hours by having a sleepy Ahote teach you a little of how to make stone tools. It's interesting, if rather primitive; but then Ahote is off his watch, and there's nothing to do but bang rocks together. It's with a sense of relief that you greet the rising of the moon, and set off once again into the underbrush. Before the night is over, you arrive at the periphery of Nalus' estates. A massive, crumbing mansion, overlaid with climbing ivy, lies before you. > How will you approach this?
Vampire Doll Quest. Fuck yeah!Idea for the attack:Our Toy Soldiers look Human enough on the surface.Have some of them dress as local villagers and abduct a few of Nalus servants when they get the chance. We want Nalus to think he's just dealing with Human rabble. He'll be completely caught short when he's ambushed by us and the Pack.
>>25301651Any other ideas before I take this?
>>25301651Seems reasonable. We want to lure him out of the mansion by taking his servants.
>>25301689Nah, that's basically the logical conclusion of the original "kidnap servants to smoke him out" idea.
>>25301651Second.This'll be easier if he doesn't know anything supernatural is involved until it's to late.Have Ahote and the men set up the ambush then send in our under-cover soldiers to abduct some of his people and lure him out.
>>25301708You make the order. The Toy Soldiers obediently march off to waylay some villagers.Wait a second… Is there even a village nearby?> Roll Acumen to see if your birds found one while they were scouting.
>>25301783I think it's safe to say Isabella (the character) planned this out before hand, even if we are just playing it now.Can we retroactively say she brought some along?
Rolled 38>>25301813Relax, it's an easy check.
>>25301835Yes, of course there's a village nearby. Why else would you send out your soldiers to blend in with it?Now, there's nothing to do but wait. The Toy Soldiers will bring you your prisoner soon enough…> As we timeskip, roll Ferocity and Masquerade for the Toy Soldiers to see if the operation is successful.
Rolled 81, 9 = 90>>25301867They bloody better do well. What did we make them for?
>>25301882Hm. Roll again.
Rolled 43, 22 = 65>>25301939Rollin' again.
>>25301955Excellent. Writing now.
>>25301969You wait. And wait. And continue to wait. The soldiers still haven't returned after the sun has risen into the sky and set again. You're beginnning to have a nagging feeling that something is wrong. > What do you do?
>>25301984Mind-hijack a bird and go look.If they're out of range for a direct look, send Dominated bird scouts.
>>25301984Mindjack birds or other forest creatures.I think we need to go and take a look what's happening. Worst case, the villagers managed to overpower the soldiers, which is bad, but not catastrophic. They are easily replaced.
>>25302067If the village discovered the soldiers then it could be a problem. They might go to Nalus for protection or something.
>>25302083That could be a good thing, though.
>>25301882So, they failed but everyone thinks they're just humans
>>25302135You decide to go see what's taking so long. A passing robin is easily-snared, and you hijack its senses to take a look.It would appear that there's nothing to worry about. By the time your bird reaches the toy soldiers, you can see that they are hauling a struggling man in Nalus' livery along between two rigid pairs of arms. By the time the sun rises, they're back at camp and you're able to order the soldiers to report. "Target captured on second attempt. Were spotted and driven off during first attempt. Report ends."Ahote grunts approval, and heads outside to finish digging the pit trap, leaving you with the man held in the tin soldiers' unfeeling grip. The kicking, cursing man between them is not particularly forthcoming, but then again, did you want to talk to him in the first place? Now, all you need to do is wait until nightfall for Nalus to come to you… > Will you interrogate the prisoner while you wait, or shall we time-skip?
>>25302160can't hurt to interrogateMaybe they dealt with him before
Rolled 93>>25302160Mindrape, he might know something useful.Be through, we don't need him intact but his knowledge could be useful. If we get nothing relevant, time-skip.
>>25302208That's a time-skip.
Fuck yeah Vampire Doll Quest and it even started while I'm still awakeI pointed out last time how we can force Sophia to drink our blood to make her addicted without fearing that she becomes a vampire upon death if we don't drink her blood. I thought it could go something like this:We make a tea party and "invite" her (have her dragged there by the dolls while she's tied up) make some small talk and pretend it's a normal tea party, make her drink some tea etc. Then we say: " I know we haven't been getting along very well, so I have a special gift for you." Then we force-feed her the bloodAfter that, we could always give her her fix at tea party's, force her to play along, be polite to the dolls etc. or she doesn't get anything. What are the symptoms of Vamp-blood withdrawal like?
>>25302225I hope my accidental dice didn't make us miss something important.Oh well. Get ready to meet our friend Nalus.
>>25302234We already decided to turn her into something I think.May have already been done off screen. Frankly, I can't be bothered addicting and training her when we can get far better results with the Flesh-Loom without all the hassle.
>>25302234Shivering, cold sweat, cravings, increased appetite, convulsions, hallucinations, cyanosis, trying to eat other people, eating yourself, death. In ascending order of severity, of course.Ghouls (people who drink vampire blood) eventually become intensely dependent on the substance, and often codependent on their supplier.
>>25302311Some kind of ninja maid, AFAIK.
>>25302311Are all our creations automatically loyal to us? I thought that was just the dumb ones
>>25302262Unfortunately, it would appear that this prisoner is too terrified for you to retrieve anything useful from his mind. It'll all a confused mishmash of images, colors and music. There's nothing to grab on to. Oh well. Time to settle in and wait for Nalus to reveal himself… > Roll Acumen and Discipline.
>>25302348Only things you personally create. Making something from someone who is actively resisting is much harder than a willing volunteer, however.
Rolled 48, 51 = 99>>25302350here we go
>>25302348No, the Flesh-Loom "Infuses our magic into their very bones and makes them loyal."Or something to that effect. The Huntsman is intelligent, powerful, can pass for Human and is loyal. The addiction and training thing seems like a lot more work for a lesser result.
>>25302365is it just harder to get them into the pit in the first place or do we take a penalty on our roll to make them?
>>25302365>Making something from someone who is actively resisting is much harder than a willing volunteer, however.Meh, we get bonuses out the ass from our sanctum, the Loom, Scarlet and the Dolls assisting, ect.In the off chance it doesn't work, can we just put her back in and 'remake' her?
>>25302370>Acumen: 54 >Discipline: 44Looks like we made it. You usually get a bonus in roll under systems, right? because I can't imagine us failing in our best area half the time
>>25302472You currently have +10 to both your Acumen and Discipline as a passive bonus from your equipment, so yes, this is a pass.
Rolled 10>>25302508Let's roll Nalus's acumen opposed.
>>25302539Oh dear. Nalus is saved by an uncanny stroke of luck. This could get messy.
Rolled 12, 50 = 62>>25302562Nalus arrives at sunset, barely minutes after the sun has sunk beyond the horizon. Unlike you were expecting, he's brought servants. But not human ones. No, Nalus has a wolfpack of his own, and he runs with them, a massive silver-coated wolf with prominent fangs. And it's not Nalus that falls into the pit trap, but one of his wolves, darting forward in front of the leader at some imagined threat. Nalus turns and snarls, claws bared, at the sudden threat, as your chitinous pack bursts out of the trees, Tin Soldiers emptying their rifles from sniper's positions.> Roll Ferocity and Acumen for your initial rush at a +20 bonus for surprise.> Nalus rolls his Ferocity and Acumen to mount a defense in this post.
>>25302396but it's harder to change them if they actively resist the process. we could be left with something that is completely useless.I am all for the idea of making her our ghoul. she looks unassuming, but she is actually very effective at fighting. we can have her as our bodyguard when we go to human villages. It won't look odd at all for a rich young heiress to have a maid following her around.she doesn't need a lot of training, she already almost killed us. she would be a perfect ghoul, with minimal further training. and since she'll be addicted to our blood, she'll be incredibly inclined to protect us and obey us, since we have her next fix.
Rolled 99, 19 = 118>>25302581Please tell me we're not wearing our good dress for this?
Rolled 13, 39 = 52>>25302581come on, luck...
Rolled 48, 72 = 120>>25302605if only i was faster.... i could have saved us
>>25302605So, Nalus wins on Ferocity by three degrees but you win on Acumen by five degrees. Writing up the results...
>>25302625okay, so we aren't dead. still, think of the slaughter if my first roll had made it... it gives me chills.
>>25302584>but it's harder to change them if they actively resist the processSo? Being a bit more difficult is far from being impossible. We have cloths that give us bonuses. We have a sanctum that gives us bonuses. We have a Loom than gives us bonuses. We have Scarlet that gives us bonuses. We have Dolls that give us bonuses. All of this is on top of our already high stats. It's not an issue, just drop it.We can get a lot more out of her for a lot less work.
>>25302680Your Hounds crash into the wolfpack, tearing wolves limb from limb; your soldiers fire true, and the pack scatters, broken. But Nalus himself will not go down so easily. He moves too fast for your soldiers to get a read. He contemptuously bats aside Hounds that get too close, leaving broken bodies in his wake. As a soldier sights in on him, he shifts seamlessly to his vampric form, and hurls a stone from the ground, shattering its tin skull and sending it tumbling to the ground- then just as fast, he shifts back, tearing into another wolf with massive lupine jaws, crushing it in his teeth like a bug. Nalus's pack may be gone, but none of yours can touch him in a fight. If it goes on like this, your forces will be overrun.Fortunately, he hasn't met any of your special forces yet.> Send in Fluffy, as a physical combatant that can match him?> Send in the Huntsman to rally the Pack?> Send in Ahote to prove his worth and break him with holy magic?> Personally take the field to subdue the wretched thing yourself?
>>25302584Using our sanctum and loom, we have huge fleshcraft bonuses, so it would hopefully negate that to an extent. It shouldn't be too hard to just twist her into what we need, and it'd create a superior finished product. What's better, a superhuman servant who follows you because they are bound to you by magic, body and soul, or a regular servant who follows you because she wants to drink your blood some more?
>>25302694> Send the Huntsman, Fluffy and Ahote
>>25302713"All of the Above" works too.
>>25302713while hitting him with magic.
>>25302716Well, except usWe have servants for that>>25302721I thought we don't really have any blasty magic, but we can try
>>25302694Send in Ahote and Huntsman.Fluffy stays with us.
>>25302733You have blasty magic, but it requires you to spend blood on it.
>>25302694Send in Fluffy and the Huntsman.Using them as cover, have Ahote do his thing. We he is injured and down, make eye contact and mindrape.
>>25302752What kind of blasty magic?
>>25302752There's a village near by and Nalus' servants back at his place.Blast away, we can fill up easy.
>>25302752Very good>Send everyone and use your magicthis is not the time to hold back
>>25302662>>25302704but we do not know how big of a penalty we get from a subject that actively resists. also, remember , she broke our mind control with sheer force of will.besides, we don't know what kind of bonuses she might get from becoming a ghoul. we never exactly asked if that is a thing. And I'm just thinking about having a human servant with some combat expertise that we can take out into a human population that won't look suspicious at all.of course, if we ultimately decide to go with the fleshcrafting, I will not be completely against it. I'm just trying to take into account all the factors, and, IMHO, she would work a lot better as a ghoul.
Rolled 57, 6 = 63>>25302763Weapons formed from blood. Shadows that grab and slice. Rains of acidic blood. That sort of thing. >>25302753Alright, the verdict appears to be "all three, aid personally."This makes the attacking force the Pack Unified, with two aids from Ahote and Isabella.> This makes the attacking ferocity 90. Yeah, you'll really have to work to make this fail.> Roll Ferocity + Celerity for the pack with a +20 to both.> Rolls in this post are Nalus' rolls.
>>25302791Agreed, we can use anyone as source material for a ninja-flesh-abomination but a already trained ninja is unique
>>25302791>a human servant with some combat expertise that we can take out into a human population that won't look suspicious at all.We already have that. The Huntsman can pass for Human. We can make her look outwardly Human too.
Rolled 47, 25 = 72>>25302809If I screw up this roll again I'll stop rolling for today
>>25302824i'm so proud of you. good job
Rolled 25, 76 = 101>>25302824Four degrees of success on Ferocity, six dregrees of success on Celerity. Nalus is going down.
>>25302824he's dead jim
>>25302820We could grab literally anyone of the street and make him into that. She was one of several special people we noticed, it would be a waste to use her like that
>>25302844Keep him alive long enough for mindrape if possible. It's not vital but could be useful.
Rolled 75>>25302865As the Huntsman bursts from the trees astride Fluffy, Nalus forgoes any attempt at offense at the obviously superior foe and attempts to flee… but there's nowhere to go. Every side is blocked off by Hounds, enraged and newly revitalized by the sight of their leader. Nalus fights like a mad beast, with the strength of desperation, but the Hounds are too fast and he can't match the sheer ferocity Fluffy and the Huntsman bring to bear. He snarls, caught in a trap of hounds…And that's when a birch spear pierces his lupine shoulder and pins him to the ground as a screaming human, unable to maintain his wolf-like form. The bone spear of the Huntsman transfixes him through the other shoulder, pinning him to the ground like a preserved butterfly. You appear, wraithlike, over his prone form."Hello, Nalus."And then you throw your will against his. > Roll Eeriness with a +10 bonus for the pain Nalus is in. > Roll in this post is Nalus' discipline.
Rolled 41>>25302915mindcuddle incoming
>>25302931Excellent.>Option 1, He took our Doll:Kill and eat him as painfully as possible then go and retrieve our precious creation.>Option 2, he didn't take the Doll:Kill and eat him in a way that entertains us, then go secure our new servants and holdings.
>>25302931Nalus's mind is a simple place. Everything is bound together by hot strands of raw emotion, easily accessed even when he resists you.And Nalus doesn't know anything about your missing doll.It would appear you have the wrong vampire. > Still eat his face?> Still eat his face.
>>25303003Dissapointing, that Nalus is not the one you seek. But the weasel isn't worth keeping alive. You bend your neck, and bit deep into his. He twitches slightly, but no sound escapes his lips. His blood is hot and delicious, with the unique potent rush of the undead's unholy essence. You haven't tasted this since your sire died. It's better than you remember. You don't stop. You can't stop. Finally, Nalus has no more blood to give, but still you draw from his veins, and something flows into you and coils in your heart, a raw, red power that throbs through your veins. Reluctantly, you sit up from the corpse. Nalus stares sightlessly at the night sky. You tell your soldiers to burn the body. Nalus doesn't deserve the respect a burial would give him. > You have gained 10 Ferocity and 5 Celerity from drinking Nalus' lifeblood. > Where to now? Nalus' estate, or yours?
Rolled 56>>25303008>Nalus' estateMight as well loot and hope this wasn't a complete waste of time
>>25303023as much as I love looting, we should tread carefully. leave no witnesses.
>>25303008I guess go and inspect our new holdings? Is there any rule for vampire inheritance or is it just 'To the victor go the spoils'?
>>25303042It's only dangerous when breaking a social rule. Since vampires killing ech other outside their estates is ok, there isn't much to worry about.
>>25303008>> Where to now?Nalus' crib.He had powerful mages -among others- serving him right? We will offer them a choice. They can serve us now or they..... Who are we kidding? They don't have a choice.Gather our new minions and loot anything of value.
>>25303057as I understood it, there is supposed to be no open killing between vampires. if we just take his estate, it will be rather obvious we killed him for it. However, i'm not against taking his stuff. that's easier to hide.
>>25303049In this case, you have the blood of Nalus in your veins. Legally, you /are/ him. If you hadn't eaten him, then it's more complex.
>>25303078That's not how it works at all from my understanding.
>>25303092hopefully OP will enlighten us on the subject.
>>25303078We already have a magical mansion that can be at multiple places at the same time and is bigger on the inside, I don't think we even want his house
>>25303049>To the victor go the spoils'?Yup.If we want to make it official and claim deeds and titles we need to inform the Elders we've killed him.If he has nothing like that of value, we might not need to bother. We can just take what we want and move on.
>>25303078No, the Laws of Hospitality are sacrosanct.Beyond that, kill whoever the fuck you want. With the obvious limitations of going after those too powerful or people with friends and connections.
>>25303104From what Alucard said, his place seems to be a dump.We will most likely loot and move on.
>>25303130so as long as we are not in their house, and they aren't in ours, it's free game?
>>25303100Within Shadescast, you're subject to the laws of Shadescast regarding such things as murder. Murder in Shadescast will get you dragged before the elders for being that terrible at assassination. If, however, you can prove to the Elders that you have the Lifeblood of another vampire in your veins, you have rights to all that vampire's property. No questions asked. Killing vampires outside Shadescast is outside of vampiric jurisdiction. Inside shadescast, killing a vampire in the street will mean you get no property and may be disciplined. Killing a vampire in your castle or their castle will result in... vast unpleasantness... and probably your death.
>>25303152Presumably attacking them in someone else house is a no no, if only because that person will brutally murder you.
>>25303152No. If they are in our house as a Guest, we treat them as a Guest. And visa-versa.Just breaking into someones house and murdering them is fine. We would be neither Guest or Host.
>>25303156ah, thanks. then yeah, his crib is ours now. sweet.
>>25303191>>25303156This is actually correct, but there's a major problem there and that is that the other vampire would then be behind a massive Threshold that would make you weak as a kitten.
>>25303224This is me (captain obvious)
>>25303156>Murder in Shadescast will get you dragged before the elders for being that terrible at assassination.I fucking LOLd!No laws against murder. Just laws against being /bad/ at murder."Killing in the streets? With witnesses? The fuck is wrong with you? Do it right faggot!"
You decide to head to the former vampire's mansion. No doubt there'll be something or someone of use there. As always, your toy soldiers quickly sweep the whole area. Most of the servants are quick to bend the knee to you; after all, with Nalus' lifeblood in your veins, they will naturally fear you even more than him. You're subduing a particularly stubborn man with your voice when suddenly you hear a tremendous bang from the back of the mansion, towards the garden. > Run towards the explosion?
>>25303314yesso, dead man's switch or pet going wild without it's owner?
>>25303314>Run towards the explosion?Fuck no!Send a red-shirt towards the explosion. Have our minions scout it.
>>25303156Wait, if a vampire attacks you in your home and you kill them in self defense, you get executed?Or is it that if you just kill them, it's all good, but if you proceed to eat them afterwards then shit goes down?
>>25303314No, make our way calmly and efficiently towards the explosion while having some mindjacked servants investigate for us.
>>25303371of course you aren't executed. they were stupid enough to attack you in your own mansion. they didn't deserve to live.
>>25303371If someone violates the Hosts Right and attacks us. They get executed.Assuming they survive the attempt.
>>25303397This. Whoever breaks the host right first gets executed. If they're lucky.
Rolled 91>>25303385You quickly look into the eyes of one of the household servants, and tell it to investigate for you. You wait. A few more explosions occur.
>>25303454One of the explosions is accompanied by a loud scream. You have a feeling you won't be seeing that servant again.
>>25303454posses the next servant we send
>>25303463definitely a pet.send one of the hounds, tell it to be stealthy, and observe through its eyes using the thing Scarlet gave us.
>>25303463God damnit, I'd rather not investigate ourself considering there are explosions.Send a Hound, maybe more than one, tell them to be careful, not to approach too quickly, and be willing to bug out after getting the information, and have them investigate for us. We'll look through their eyes with the amulet thingy.
>>25303485Second.Send a puppy or two and watch with our Magic Eye thing.
Rolled 45>>25303485This time, you send a hound, and clutch the glass orb Scarlet gave you, connecting you to the weakened pack-mind. The hound bounds through the halls of the mansion, and out into the back garden...
Rolled 24>>25303516Where a nearby explosion sends it bounding for cover. In flashes between pieces of cover, you make out the shadow of a man in a well-tailored suit hurling fire at everything that moves. Well. It would appear you've found Nalus' mage.
>>25303534You consider momentarily what to do, only to be cut off as the mage finally reads the Hound's movements and incinerates it. You're going to have to make more servants once you're done here...
>>25303534Ah, good, he's a tard.
>>25303534Ugh.Use Nalus' servants as a shield for the pack, have them rip his throat out. I would have liked to have him serve us, but he seems to be a little hot headed for that.
>>25303548Go personally. Use a more diplomatic approach with him, and don't entet the room/area he's in before coming to acceptable terms of non-aggression.
>>25303548well, now that we know what we're up against, let's go ourselves and make him stop. by deadly force, if necessary.
>>25303548Wait, he took out one of our puppies? Motherfucker. Those guys are supposed to be tough as hell.Okay, see if we can throw our voice to his location, start suggesting things to him, have people lying in wait for an ambush if he comes over towards us, like tin soldiers ready to shoot him full of dakka.Suggest things like "Your old master is dead, if you continue to fight you will surely die, if you surrender willingly and don't make me waste a valuable resource like you than you will be taken good care of."Also, if he continues to be violent and comes over here we can throw blood magic at him.
>>25303548Magic shield. Make eye contact. Done.Just put him out and we can sort him out later. He'll either kneel or go in the Loom.
>>25303576>>25303594>>25303604>>25303608Alright, you're going personally. Roll Eeriness + Celerity.
Rolled 10, 63 = 73>>25303640
Rolled 60, 22 = 82>>25303640forget your name, sir?
Rolled 32, 18 = 50>>25303640Stay back, try to pull off mindfuckery before getting too close since we can't Celerity worth shit right now.
>>25303640Add Acumen to that.
Rolled 66, 4 = 70>>25303640Rolling
Rolled 97>>25303654>>25303653Addin acumen
Rolled 83, 7 = 90>>25303640Show this fucker some real magic.
Rolled 21>>25303653for the acumen
Rolled 49>>25303653he's probably a ghoul going wild now that his blood source is dead
>>25303664So that's large success on Eeriness and Acumen, no Celerity though. Rolling for the mage: Discipline, Acumen, Eeriness
Rolled 89, 44, 47 = 180>>25303679It would help if I remembered to roll.
>>25303686I think he's going to be very sorry that he attacked us and try to make it up to us. That utterly failed Discipline roll.
>>25303686I think we've got this.
Rolled 61>>25303686>dat Disciplinethe mindrape train has no brakes!
>>25303686Now we have to be as smug as physically possible.
>>25303725well, duh. because otherwise, what's the point?
Rolled 67>>25303714He's a mage, his Discipline is probably higher than most humans'
>>25303740You step into the garden wrapped in protective shadows. The mage incinerates them. Fortunately, that wasn't you in the protective shadows. As he turns, realizing his mistake, you look him in the eyes from two feet away and tear any thought of disobeying from his mind. As he stands awaiting your orders, you can't resist gloating a little."Not so hot now, hm?""No, Mistress."You frown."No. Lady Markova.""Yes, Lady Markova."> Well then. Anything else to do while you're here?
>>25303740I doubt it's over 70, thoughWe're a vampire that's hundreds of years old and our best stat is at 60
>>25303763> The trouble with dominated people is they don't get your jokes.
>>25303763Loot anything valuable as well as any magical items, notebooks, experiments, fleshcrafting equipment, weapons, people, slaves, pets etc.
>>25303763Tell him to completely give him up to us. For all effects, we are now his master. Then ask/chek what he did under Nalus, and what else he can do for us.
>>25303763Well that was easy.
>>25303763Go through his mind, what he's capable of and what he did under his old maser
>>25303763Hmm, he's a mage so he has a stronger Will than most people. We have him under control now, but he may break free later and demolish half our castle by flinging fireballs around. Make him drink our blood
>>25303789You briefly interrogate the man. It would appear he is a pyromancer. In short, he blasts things. However, as a mage he has quite a bit of esoteric knowledge... all of which you already know, because you are centuries beyond this little mortal in your studies. Nalus must have been terrible at magic indeed to need the help of this one on basic thaumaturgy. >>25303786You gain 5 Holdings from looting everything, and another 5 representing the mansion itself.
>>25303832how many slaves/servants do we gain
>>25303822I don't think there is any need for that. he seems really loyal now.
>>25303832Can our castle assimilate the mansion? Or consume it and use it to expand/empower itself? Also, how good is our fire magic? We might want to steal the mage's magic/knowledge for our own then. Also see if he knows anything worthy of note about Nalus. Things like business, schemes, etc.
>>25303847Right. You gain 5 points of chattel.
>>25303832How bad would the repercussions be if we just ate him right there?
>>25303866Yes, while we're directly dominating his mind. We did that to Sophia too, and you saw how it turned out
>>25303866Because you have him under direct mental control, yes.
>>25303832Does this magic have any effect on our fleshcraft? Could we imbue this pyromancy into another servant or creation, or is it purely based on the intelligence/willpower of the user?Because if not, I could imagine having some magic feedstock could be useful.Either way, turn him into a puppet and throw him in a cell till we decide what to do with him.
>>25303832Aight, send him to the Dollhouse and turn him into the Human Torch.
>>25303867Speaking of Castlevania, we really need to buy some decorations, as a reward/gift.
>>25303877There would be none whatsoever, aside from possibly losing a valuable servant.
>>25303886Neat idea. Any way to disable his magic while the dolls are working?
>>25303867No, your castle doesn't absorb other buildings. It doesn't work like that and would probably be offended by the idea.
>>25303832Tut a bit at Nalus's incompetence, tell the pyro that he will improve and learn more under our service. Ask him more about how Nalus treated him, what his duties were, if Nalus had any plots or schemes that we should be aware of, what holdings other than this Mansion Nalus had. We're going to have to ensure long-term loyalty somehow, maybe feeding him a bit of our blood, making sure working for us is better than any alternative, and maybe some mindfuckery.Does the Mansion get absorbed by our abode? Or does it remain separate? Can we tell the Mansion that we'll take better care of it than Nalus ever did?
>>25303880okay then, I'm for making him a ghoul.
>>25303905You can do this with the proper blood magic bindings, but it would take your personal attention.
>>25303908Alright. Can it do it with other castle's? Would it be offended too?
>>25303922just turn him into a Ghoul
>>25303897Eat him then.
>>25303922Another chance to bond with our dolls! DO IT.
>>25303880We only directly dominated Sophia after she resisted our minor compulsions, and by that time she was enraged. Also, she got lucky and hit us while we were distracted.
>>25303942>>25303941>>25303932Ghoul, Fleshbeat, or Food? Any tiebreaker?
>>25303947Right, but then released them from that compulsion.
>>25303948I'm also in for ghoul
>>25303832Have our new minions marched back home carrying the loot. (can we get a number for the minions?)We don't need to foot-slog with the chattel. Turn into a bat and fly back. They'll catch up in a day or two.>The PyromancerMages make for extremely potent ingredients (if harder to work) in flesh-craft, right?Mindrape him for all his fire-bending skills then see if we can make something 'special' out of him.
>>25303948Ghoul>>25303952Sorry, didn't read your name
>>25303948I'd prefer Ghoul, eating him is a bit of a waste of a mage, and I'd rather not fleshwarp him, at least not right yet.
>>25303948Fleshbeast, Imagine a walking abomination...but on fire.
>>25303955See >>25303874About 10 servants altogether. >>25303967Vote appears to be for our first Ghoul.
>>25303883>Does this magic have any effect on our fleshcraft? It can produce extremely potent results but is harder to work.
>>25303967I think our policy should be this:for all weak servants, we should fleshcraft them into something stronger. for all servants who are already pretty strong, we should just turn into ghouls so as to not risk losing their power.
>>25303987This is correct.
>>25303986Ghoul is still ahead by a vote. See>>25303967>>25303963>>25303954for ghoul>>25303973>>25303980for fleshbeast.
>>25303994Then we should defiantly flesh-beast him.
>>25303993Seems fine to me>>25304007Magic ghoul!
>>25304007>>25304017And now the vote is for fleshbeast.
Given that we got the wrong guy, does anybody else have a really bad feeling about what we will find when we get back to out castle?
>>25303955This is a vote for fleshbeast as well, if I am reading it correctly>>25304012
>>25304025I'll throw my vote in for fleshbeast.
>>25303894Seconded.Next time we're in town, we'll order some really nice furniture and tapestries.
>>25304038Correct. That was mine and I vote for mindrape and fleshbeast.
>>25304088Why do we need mindrape when we turn him into a fleshbeast?
>>25304036Muahahahahhaha. Alright, the vote is for fleshbeast, so that'll happen when we return to the castle. For the moment, though, the thread is over. Ta-ta everyone. > Archived Thread is here:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/25301344/> Vote here if you care:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?searchall=vampire+doll+questThe next Vampire Doll Quest will probably be tomorrow. As always, you can follow me on twitter @Wergeldt to be updated of when new threads go up.
>>25304154I hope we will decide what to truly do with Sophia next thread.Because as much fun as it is to make flesh beasts, if we do it all the time, they'll lose their specialness. they are basically our special units, servants would be the regular units, and Ghouls would be special units with the ability to blend in effortlessly with humans. tl;dr, we need more variety in our servants.
>>25304154Nooooo! I was to late! And i would have voted Ghoul...Oh well. Next time then.
Honestly the main use for ghouls is that I don't think they can fail a masquerade check. While the hunter 1/10 will fail it. Not only this but because they are human effectively I don't think something like "Holy is this a vampire magic" or the like could notice her as easy as a flesh crafted beast.
