You are Ssen, a Lamia raised by a human Paladin who adopted you after killing the ones who birthed you. You are grown now, and Father has passed on. After a great deal of work, you have become a Paladin like your Father, and now take up his duties. You are accompanied by your best friend from childhood, the insect druid Tricia; Mage, a magic user who ran away from his family of cannibal raiders known as the Ghouls (Yes, his name is Mage. It was his idea); Persephone, a 22-year old thief/ex-guerllia fighter (She goes by Peri), and Mari, a 13-year old prodigy scholar/now sniper, who has her mind and soul trapped within Peri's body; and Lea, a deeply religious musician/martial artist, trained by her father, a famous trainer for arena fighters, she's covered from her mouth down in bandages to hide the horrific state her body has become thanks to the 'cures' that saved her from cancer.Your journey continues...Opening theme song (NEW for Season 3!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMyj9SEDHZIhttp://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Lamia%20Quest1d4 chan page w/battle stats: http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Quest:Lamia_Daughter_Quest
The Good News: The second test given to Mage to prove that he is the reincarnation of Dagda the Good, a hunting trip, turned out to be a ruse by 'Queen Mab' so that you and she could talk privately. In actuality Queen Mab is Maxine Rollands, an elf who believes in the cause of the Fey Court, but has a greater belief in securing personal power and comfort for herself. She was willing to hand over control of the Fey Court, in exchange for some political deals, and a 'retirement plan' for herself. After a little haggling and deal making, you agreed. Bad News: Comedy's trap turned out to be her leading a squad of Citadel Soldiers to capture/kill all of you. Thankfully, you and Julian managed to fast talk your way out of that conflict...which then spilled into another as Comedy's back up plan of 'Just Kill All Of Them' came into effect. You all ran into the woods to escape the monsters that Comedy had summoned, only to find yourself lost in the woods. Comedy arrived to taunt you, semi-revive Donovan again, and tell you that you were now trapped in the Dramatae's Grove of Joy. You wandered with Lea, searching for you lost companions, when you happened upon the Corpse Quarry. The dumping site where all dead bodies that 'vanished' from Citadel ended up. They were being fed to a giant semi-magical/semi-mechanical construct that you called Citadel's Maw. The Maw broke down the bodies to their base elements, and used them to nourish crops, feed animals, and construct more Citadel. The Fifth, or the Original Spirt of the Land, arrived to inform you of this. Also to make another plea for you to reinstate them as the dominant power. Once more you refused, and once more the Fifth took it calmly. They also reunited you with your companions. Now you stare out at that pulsing red monstrosity of metal and stone, across a sea of corpses. This may not be Citadel's heart...but it's still a major organ.
Hello again, echo!Okay, let me throw out some priorities for us to think on.1. Everyone else gets to use boots for walking on the corpse pile, not fair2. Are those other guys okay? Mab and the elves and the soldiers? 3. We have a woodland compass now, we can totally get somewhere4. Get like, a sandwich for Ssen at some point, that's a full day of missed meals by my count5. Deal with that sandworm before it rampages5. (optional a) use lightmare in a pokemon battle with the sandworm
>>25097499oh, and I forgot6. smash everything and set this ENTIRE PLACE on fire. Burn it to the ground. We've not had a fire in a while.
>>25097499"So..." Peri asks. "Who's going in there first?" "Hang tight." Mage says, he steps forwards and puts his hands up in mid-air. "There's a spell here, at the border of the pit."You check with your eyes, yep, he's right. There's a shimmering wall of magic there. It goes along the entire side of the corpse quarry.Mage takes his staff and swings it through the air. It passes through with no issues. Then he swiftly pokes his arm in and then back out. Nothing happens. He shrugs. "Okay, so...I have no idea what this is, but it's not a barrier. I think. At least it's not stopping anything from coming in or out."
>>25097752"It probably only eats things in there. Which means this would have... some risk to it.""Or it could be some mind affecting thing, which means we'd need a person out here to pull whoever goes in there back."
>>25097791"It probably only eats things in there. Which means this would have... some risk to it.""Or it could be some mind affecting thing, which means we'd need a person out here to pull whoever goes in there back." You say."Oooh! Oooh!" Mage waves his hand."You're needed to figure out how to smash the Maw appropriately." Tricia says."Fine." He grumbles.
>>25097865"Mmmmaybe two people. With the woodsman's compass, on account of us getting seperated. One of you has that, right? I do not, and it's been a bit disconcerting.I nominate Lea and Peri, as our two most generally athletic members. I'm assuming it's you two who managed to drag me out of the inn way back."
>>25097964unless we don't want lea seperated from us? I assume it's fine if we have peri/meri there, but maybe not?Sorta hope some people show up for me to bounce ideas off here.
You're nearly late Echo. Also I figured something out about the paladin gems. Paladins worship His Light and wear those gems that are colored to signify what order they are a part of. If you take it a bit literally our order as one of the oldest uses a clear gem and we have done many of the duties the other orders have. Now the interesting part is if you take the idea of his Light a bit literal. His light encomasses all things, and if you split the light through a prism you get the colors of the rainbow and split duties.Hope that made sense.
>>25097964"Mmmmaybe two people. With the woodsman's compass, on account of us getting separated. One of you has that, right? I don't, and it's been a bit disconcerting." You say.Peri rummages around in her pack and pulls another compass out. This one is covered in green-tinted bronze. "Is this it?"Lea takes it. She looks at the treeline and nods. "Yes...this is it." "Alright, I nominate Lea and Peri, as our two most generally athletic members. I'm assuming it's you two who managed to drag me out of the inn way back."Peri points at Lea. "Alright." Mage sighs. "Let's get this ovAUUGH!" He gags as his head crosses over the barrier and he stagges back, gasping for air. "Uhh..." He drops to the ground and nearly heaves."What happened?" Tricia asked."Smell...air...urlp..." He vomits onto the ground.Tricia looks at you and then goes over to the wall, she sticks her hand through the barrier and then instally pulls it back."Oh, by the Light!" She gags. "Ugh...I can smell it through my SKIN." She shudders. "Decomposition fumes, methane, and the smell, by the Light, the SMELL." She shakes her head. "It's unbearable. I doubt anyone could last five minutes in there."
>>25098123Makes a bit of sense. ARE there paladins of every color? I can't recall.Reds for war, oranges for administration, blues for police, green for... tree... guards? Something like that? I can't remember. I can't remember yellow either. But violet was the paladin-law, and they're temporarily disbanded. which worries me.
>>25098182Never said there were ones for every color, that would be a little silly. But that's my idea
>>25098137wait, the spell holds in all the gasses, including copious amounts of methane?stand waaaaay back and shoot a fire arrow in there, boom if there is enough methane.
>>25098137"Haha, okay, I see what's going on here. Good thing I've not eaten. So, let's see... We could try imprompdu masks, if we don't mind tearing up some perfectly good traditional elven hunting gear a bit. It wouldn't help much. Do, uh, we want to replace the smell of rot with the smell of burnt rot? We could if we wanted. It's really a preference thing. Fires have been known to clear out bad smells."
>>25098281That's insane anon. I like it.
>>25098340well, it fits nicely into part 6 of my plan
"Haha, okay, I see what's going on here. Good thing I've not eaten. So, let's see... We could try impromptu masks, if we don't mind tearing up some perfectly good traditional elven hunting gear a bit. It wouldn't help much. "Do, uh, we want to replace the smell of rot with the smell of burnt rot? We could if we wanted. It's really a preference thing. Fires have been known to clear out bad smells." You say."Uhh...we should get behind a tree then...or in a ditch." Mage says. You all head pretty far back, and get behind a tree that's also past a small dip in the ground. Mage takes careful aim with his staff. Takes a deep breath, and shoots a fireball. He then hits the dirt. The flaming sphere hurtles through the air and...stops mid-air as it smacks into the barrier."Huh." He says."Let me try." Mari says. She wraps one of her bolts in oil-soaked cloth and has Mage hold up a flame. She shoots through the flame, the oil lights, and the blot soars through the air, reaches the barrier...and the flame instantly goes out the moment it hits it. The bolt sails through and thuds into one of the dead bodies.Peri comes out. "Okay, my turn." She fishes around the ground for a small rock, and uses a dagger to carve a rune into it. "Mage? A little juice please."Mage charges the rock and the rune glows red. "Let's see if this works." She chucks the rock.It passes through the barrier...you all tense waiting for the fire rune to detonate...and...nothing. "I hate it when these bastards do smart things." Peri says."Ten to one, Rage thought this one up." Tricia says.
so, am I the only one who feels that this is ALL building up to isen riding in and saving the day? With a battallion of longgunmen?
QUESTION:Wasn't there a note that the Dawnchasers found in the tower with the dead Lamia that indicated something about how Liam Patrick could have succeeded if he tried redeeming the Heart of Citadel instead of destroying it?I don't exactly remember the details, but it might be worth checking back to see if that was the case.
>>25098503but this isn't the Heart. so lets fuck it up. maybe if we put a blast stone inside the barrier then activate it?
>>25098501"Great, looks like we're going in. Unless one of you has any brilliant ideas on how to smash a magic barrier. Appreciate your boots, ladies and elf kings, no matter how silly they are."Mutter about the fairness of life while entering corpsepile. If we're lucky, rotting meat isn't SO bad for lamias, smellwise. Also, if everyone starts dropping from corpse-gas-poisoning, maybe we should loner this one.
>>25098581>>25098503this is like, the stomach or mouth. I am completely fine with giving the citadel a broken jaw.Forever.Fuck your soul eating, if we're redeeming you, you don't get to do that any more.
Honestly using corpses as fertilizer isn't all that bad. But ya most people would prefer not to.
>>25098581Here it is:>I have made a study of my fall, though, and I have learned my biggest mistake. There was another option. Past Tallows' insistence that the 'Fifth' take over, no idea how, and past the idea of letting Citadel starve to death or to rip The Heart out and collapse the entire thing. There is a way to prevent the deaths.>Free Citadel. This is the stomach of Citadel, or how it gets its nourishment. Perhaps some discretion is necessary, here? It may be that Citadel is being force-fed souls and corpses to make it become huge and bloated. Although... freeing Citadel may involve taking the force-feeding tube out of its mouth so it can attempt to find another way to sustain itself other than with the corpses of the dead and souls.
>>25098673Look, it's not the corpses that is the matter. I don't mind plotting those into the ground to be one with nature or whatever. It's the mass grave/soul eating.
>>25098700The souls are taken upon death. These are just the bodies.
Our plan is to ROLL that piece of shit out of here if at all possible so we can deal with it in a non-corpse-stank zone.Everyone agree?
>>25098691Here's the rest of the message for posterity's sake:>To be exact. ALL of Citadel has to be set free. That is how we could have won.>Of course, it matters little now. I sit here, and there is no answer. I hear Ssen out there, having difficulties hunting actually...maybe that is my answer.>Should anyone find this, and it makes no sense, burn this letter, or use it for some other use or toilet paper. But...if an Occuli or, by the Light I pray, the Caligo Clarus find this. Then when you reach the Heart of Citadel, and you can break all those barriers and spells that surround it, and if you can beat the Dramatae...free Citadel from itself.
>>25098710I dunno, I think this thing is intrinsically related to the souleating. Breaking it is a good idea.
"Great, looks like we're going in. Unless one of you has any brilliant ideas on how to smash a magic barrier. Appreciate your boots, ladies and elf kings, no matter how silly they are." You say.Mage shakes his head. "Ssen, there's no way that we can get through there." He puts a hand to his mouth. "The air's not breathable.""We can do it." Tricia says. "Don't you have a spell that can blow wind around us or something?"Mage sighs and shrugs. "Once more, I cannot solve all of our problems with a simple wave of my staff!"Tricia winces. "Sorry, you're right."Mage sighs and shrugs. "It's fine, it's fine...I could just Ghoul Magic to shut down our noses.""That can't be healthy." Lea says."It's not, but that's what I got." Mage says."Umm, what about Julian, Mab, and all the others that were with us?" Mari asks. "Maybe we should hang back on this and look for them?"
>>25098774How big is this thing? We know it's as deep as a mountain, but how wide? Wide as our hometown, was the descriptor?Low long does a slither in and out of our hometown take, for reference? They might be right.
>>25098774Well, fire's out. What about cloudkill? Would that do anything, I wonder?
>>25098881shit is just mustard gas man. won't do squat
>>25098774"Stop sounding so darn convincing, darnit. You might even be right on this one.Do you think we'll even be able to get back here if we leave? That compass is supposed to handle it, right?"I'm trying to think of a punnish way to tell our friends to set things on fire on the way out because fuck comedy, btu I can't think of it.
>>25098937er, erase one of those darnits. That's redundant that is, and I am ashamed.
>>25098881Well, we've seen that flames entering the barrier are immediately extinguished. Probably applies for mundane flames as well. It may extend all types of magic that cause detonation or rapid heating.Although.... what if we were to start a spark or reaction within the barrier? All it would take is some rock scraping against another rock hard enough, or like an exotic species of insect that can cause immense amounts of heat as a defense mechanism. Like a bombardier beetle or something. There might be some potential in creating a chemical reaction inside the barrier that is vastly exothermic, but I don't know if chlorine gas can react with methane or any other stuff in there to do something like that.
>>25098975I think the best we can hope for is starting a spark inside.which is... dangerous as fuck. We'd have to outrun an explosion if it works.
>>25098774Doesn't Beacon have anti-magic properties? If we set the tip on fire and poke it through the barrier, would that work?
>>25098975Methane is highly inflammable at the right mixture with air. And we don't ACTUALLY know what our poison contains, do we? It may be possible that the trick would have an unknown effect.
>>25099063Try it. Then do this
>>25099053Do decomposing bodies produce methane? if so, we need a delayed method of starting a spark from inside the barrier
>>25099087we have to be willing to entertain the possibility we CAN'T burn off the corpse gas, and need to either hurry and get in there and break it or go after mab and the others.and we really need to save mab and the others. I say we go, after one more arson attempt.
>>25099063Dunno, but I somehow doubt it.>>25099053Outrun an explosion? Yeah, bad idea. I'm thinking rain. Rain has a tendency to settle gases and particulate matter, and it's the opposite trick from what Rage clearly anticipated.
>>25099112Yeah, I think going after the others would be best.
I guess we can ask Tricia if there are any interesting bugs that live around here that could set shit off
>>25099123You are smart and I like you.
We've run into the adventure game portion of lamia quest, where we rub everything on everything to get a solution to a problem.
"A few more tries, then we'll get going. The satisfaction of breaking citadel's maw can wait until after we save some innocent... revolutionary terrorists, conscript soldiers, and rogue royalty. Huh. Strange day."
>>25099145Thanks. Only question is can Mage do it?
Wait a second I've got something!A bit of googling has revealed that methane reacts explosively with chlorine when exposed to visible light. Cloud kill is pretty much agreed on to be mustard gas, and that contains chlorine. It makes sense to me...
>>25099266Entirely true. So, produce some of the three venoms, mix them in a jar, close the jar, throw it through the barrier so it breaks.
>>25099266we'll try hucking some cloud kill in there, and try setting flame directly in there. If those don't work, we out-y. agreed?Unless mage can make it rain for his bitches, but he's not pimp enough to do that.
>>25099294I think we can spit it even, and don't need the jar?Echo didn't specify how, exactly, we threw the cloudkill. but we can.
"Stop sounding so darn convincing, darnit. You might even be right on this one."Do you think we'll even be able to get back here if we leave? That compass is supposed to handle it, right?"Mage looks at the compass and nods. "The Woodsman Compass, if I'm understanding this correctly, isn't a finder like the Hunter's or the Miner's but it's a dispel artifact. It'll keep the magic from separating us, or spinning us around.""And with the light from the Maw," Mari says. "We should be able to GET DOWN!" She yells. You all hit the ground at the same time as a bolt of black-colored fire sails over all of you."Some would find your continued refusal to die exceptionally insulting." A voice says. "I know Comedy thought leaving you here to rot was appealing and gave her a Citadel boost...but I'm just sick of you freaks."You look up. Tragedy is walking towards you. He's got a white mask on, and it, along with his hands are crackling with energy. "So, no tricks, no clever plans, just me killing you with overwhelming force.""I was thinking the same exact thing, actually." Tricia says to you quietly.Tragedy points his hand out at the corpse quarry, and you see a flare of magic...the ground starts to rumble."Oh, what new fresh Darkness is THIS going to be?" Peri asks.
>>25099266Somehow, setting the air on fire seems to strike me as a bad idea. Especially when the methane is so plentiful that the Dawnchasers can smell it from their presumably fairly far-off vantage point.
>>25099312Legion of corpses, fallen army, army of the dead, etc.How blase.
>>25099307We can indeed spit it. Let's.>>25099312The above. Start hocking up a cloudkill loogie to spit on the corpsepile....how strange our lives have become.
>>25099312"Oh, he's going to make a giant monster made out of dead people. 5 gold on that."
>>25099350Sorry, this is me, sans name.
>>25099320it is contained in the barrier I thought...>>25099312Cloudkill lougie into the maw!
>>25099312"Hey tragedy, we've been looking for you! I've got some very pointed remarks that robin and his crew would like me to relay to you."
Shit we need a one liner for this..And I will kill you with minimal force! *spit poison into the maw*
>>25099312"Tragedy, you aren't even worth my spit. But here's some anyway."Time to toast the corpses.
>>25099418>"I've got some very pointed remarks for you"Is that good enough? It's all I got.we're going to stab him is the joke.
>>25099312"Oh look, you're alive. What a tragedy that is."
>>25099312Assuming we manage to be a spitfire and set off a corpsebomb, we can take advantage of the distraction to try to wrap Tragedy.
>>25099503>spitfireohohohohee hee heeHOO HOOoh my, this will be good.
"Oh, he's going to make a giant monster made out of dead people. 5 gold on that." You say.You get up. "Hey Tragedy, we've been looking for you! I've got some very pointed remarks that Robin and his crew would like me to relay to you.""Spare me." Tragedy says. He walks over to the Corpse Quarry and...jumps in.The rumbling increases, and a giant sphere of corpses rises out of the mass. It's huge. As big as four houses arrange in a cube. It hovers over the Corpse Quarry."Okay, giant sphere is not a giant monster." Tricia says. You see the section of the sphere closes to you slowly start to glow. "We should already be running." Mage says.
So, who thinks tragedy absolutely could not stand it if we knocked him into the stench field? Then we could fight to keep him in there. It would also prevent him from being able to cast fire at us.
>>25099628Cloud Kill spit to light him up?
>>25099628"Spheres can be monsters. You're just trying to welch!Oh, and TAKE COVER!"
>>25099667Yeah, still worth a try.
>>25099696>>25099667can we take cover first? He's like charging a beam or some shit. We can charge our spit for three rounds behind cover anyway.
>>25099713Can we charge and move at the same time?
>>25099713Yes, we definitely should. But yeah, we need to start prepping it.
>>25099727you got me!
>>25099743We still got to use the on-liner before we hit him
Get running. Try to find a rock or tree or something. Perhaps pull whomever is slowest along with you. Or whomever trips.
Gonna use spitting corbas as a base for spitting poison ability. Wikipedia says that they can spit up to 6 feet and the largest species is about that length. Assuming size = range, we've got a range of about 20 feet, more if our increased mass gives us additional force.
"Spheres can be monsters. You're just trying to welch!"Oh, and RUN AND TAKE COVER!" You scream. You all run. The sphere crosses over the barrier, there's a lord humming noise, and the a CRACK! And you're all hurled forwards by the impact. Slowly you pull yourself up. You look behind you. A giant crater is behind you, and some of the trees are on fire."How are we supposed to FIGHT that thing?!" Lea asks as she pulls herself up."It's not stopping!" Peri yells."It's getting ready to fire again!" Mage points at a spot on the sphere where you see the glow again. You start to generate the triple poison ball in your mouth. You can run deeper into the woods. You can try to run along the exposed ridge of the Corpse Quarry. You can try to run UNDER the sphere. Or you can run towards that spot you discovered earlier, with the rhythmic metal on metal sounds and large magic glow. And from now on, you'll need to roll to avoid getting blasted by the sphere.
>>25099939The trees will at least provide us with some cover. Make sure the group sticks close to the woodsman compass, though.
>>25099939Earlier spot, everyone stick together.
>>25099939Let's meet up with the rest of the gang at (probably) metal-ville.
Rolled 7>>25099939Starting now?In any case: I'm not sure if we want to lead the necrosphere towards the other location, where our other allies might be. I'd be more inclined to try to take the thing out here first.
>>25099939Towards the spot we found earlier. There's cover on the way, and we'll cut down on investigation time.
>>25099939Sneer at the fear sphere, and stay here.
>>25100086As long as we don't leer. Because...ewww.
>>25100030Starting when he tells us to start.
Rolled 17>>25100059>>25099999>>25099993You run through the forest towards the other area that has a magical glow. The Necrosphere keeps coming towards you."Remember when...the worst...we had...to deal with...was a ghoul...raiding party?" >>25100200it was to speed up production
Rolled 11>>25100167You hold up your finger as you focus on getting the poison up. It's going to take a bit to get that lump of poison right. Running kind of makes it hard. It'll take you about twice as long as when you're standing still, so four more turns...unless you can speed it up.Your'e now about halfway there to the new site. The sphere's half-way there for a new blast, but continues to charge.Roll 1d20 to try and speed up the poison spit.
>>25100314Uuuuh, well that's mediocre I guess.

>>25100305At this rate, we're going to blow up the sphere just as we get to the other site. That may or may not go over well.
>>25100422it will probably just melt tragedy out from the inside of it. It's no longer in the methane field.
>>25100394>roll a 19>it's too late to consider>somehow ended up rolling 2d20 anyway, so it probably couldn't have countedI don't even know anymore.

>>25099856Update on this little bit of research. 8ft seems to be the upper range for spitting cobras with 10ft being recommended in addition to protecting your eyes.90% accuracy is the only statistic I've gotten, everyone else states near perfect accuracy.
Not much we can say here. It's rude to talk with your mouth full and all.
Rolled 10>>25100314You've not really gotten the hang of poison together. The White is ready, but you're still working on the Black. Four more turns. You're almost reached the area. It's a large clearing. The Necrosphere charges.Roll 1d20 to speed up the poison process. Also, you have a spitting range of 20-25 feet.
Rolled 13>>25101126so we're back to the first roll? meh
>>25101126thank god that sphere needs time to convert energy.I bet he's burning a LOT of citadeljuice here.
>>25101140FFfffffffHopefully the sphere isn't shy about friendly fire, otherwise we might have a problem once we get there.
>>25101225>>25101191How to you roll a minute after the first roll enters?

>>25101376oh man he has the mask and the personal vendetta and everything
>>25101140Still slow progress, you've got about half of the Black ready. You reach the end of the treeline of this part of the forest and you see what's on this side of the Grove. You've found that monster/Fey Court army! That rhythmic metal sounds were people training with swords and other weapons. This army is huge. You see mer, lizard people, naga, lamia, minotaurs, harpies, Fey Court elves, some humans with bug-eyes or chitinous skin who must be wasp witches and their children, and creatures you've never even seen before. Also, you see sporadically placed around the training camps are 10 feet high metal poles that support crystals that are glowing blue. You've seen those before those are..."My Rosetta Spires!" Mage says. "Those bastards copied my creation!"It must be how they're able to allow the army to communicate...also, you notice that some creatures are being brought closer to the spires, there's a flare of light, and they come away with white scales, fur, skin, or hair."Never mind that!" Tricia says. "EVERYONE SCATTER!" She yells. "INCOMING!"How are you going to dodge the Necrosphere blast, apart from also using Quick-quick?Duck behind the trees, dive into the army encampment, find a ditch, or come up with your own option?
>>25101405Camp, lets get some friendly fire done.
>>25101126Shouldn't it be three more turns? It was four more last turn...
>>25101405Either dive into the enemy camp, or go right up a tree. Both work.
>>25101405Let's destroy the spires.
>>25101405Use quick-quick, but stand right in front of one of the Rosetta Ripoffs and see if Tragedy is as stupid as he seems.
>>25101405weave through the spires, get the sphere to take them out
>>25101405go to the spires. friendly fire time.
>>25101405dive towards the nearest spire
>>25101437Maybe try to get him to damage the spires? Maybe if we can destroy enough we can loosen Citadel's hold on the army. If there are any uncorrupted still among them, it would help to have them on our side. Besides, just getting them all killed off doesn't sit right. Unless they're literally ALL corrupted, which it doesn't sound like they are.
>>25101486oh!we should STAB him with a spire!Tip it over right into the direction he's floating in! Like a giant spear!
>>25101459>>25101470>>25101471>>25101475>>25101482Well, that looks like a consensus. Time to ex-spire their language skills. And if Tricia helps: "I love it when you Babel."
>>25101486Spires is good
>>25101486you raise a valid point, we wanted to de-convert these guys. Therefore, we should go to a spire and get him to nuke THAT. but we have to go through enemy camp to do it.
>>25101524no story seeker.we cannot do puns.our mouth is full.this is our hardest test ever.
>>25101546No puns? I don't think I understand. Like doing puns, but... not? Is it like those anti-jokes where the joke is that you're expecting a joke but the answer is serious?
>>25101482Also, maybe diving towards the thing that is corrupting people through an unknown mechanic is not a good idea?
>>25101546>>25101737Don't worry, we'll spit out this poison and get punplugged soon enough.
>>25101737no puns.no jokes.no quips.no one-liners.no japes.
>>25101750It's cool. We can't be corrupted, we're the main character. It's like we'll never suddenly die of the flu.
>>25101524You speed your way up to the nearest Rosetta Spire. You wave your arms and tail at the Necrosphere. You're still trying to finish your poison spit. You're done with the Black, now just the Clear remains which is the quickest (But you save it for last because it stings a lot), then mixing the three together, and then you'll be ready.Tragedy's plan isn't a bad one. No frills, just blow you the fuck up. And since you're right there, waving at him, in a clear field...well, easy pickings. Yes, there may be some collateral damage to the army, but big deal, it's still growing. He won't be able to fire like he has after this shot, but if it gets rid of the Paladin Serpent...then what's a few more vaporized monsters and apple trees? The Necrosphere's blast is actually based on the same idea that you guys had. The thing is a massive ball of decaying corpses. Methane, and a lot of other gases are built up in this thing, properly directed with a little magic, and boom.Of course, Tragedy didn't realize that what just about 20 feet away from your position. Well within the blast radius.Roll 1d20 to Quick Quick out of said blast radius.(We'll go back to best of three)
>>25101750yeah, I thought about that after we all decided to dive towards it.But you know, oops! Whatever! We'll probably be fine. White Ssen would be kinda scary.

Is this the first time we lept away from an explosion? It might be.I don't think we jumped away when we had shells raining on us.
I wonder what happens when you shoot a language pillar with magic energy overloads
>>25102031EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS EVERYONE FOREVER
>>25102031Nihil bonum, certus sumNada bueno, estoy seguroOthingnay oodgay, I'may ureshay.
>>25101827Explosions...really...hurt. You're clear of the blast area, so you weren't vaporized or burnt, but man alive. You feel like you've been punched all over your body. Twice, now! Also, you're pretty sure you've pulled a quick-quick muscle, because there's no chance you're doing that again. You pull yourself up, thankfully your glands are a bit more instinctual than the rest of your body. You can feel the sting of the clear in your mouth, and all of the elements are mixing together. You look at your handy-work. Well, the blast did take out a large chunk of the monsters that were nearby, but you also see something else. The destruction of the Rosetta Spire has caused what Mage will later call a 'Babel' effect. (He thought the new spelling made it seem more 'scholarly and official' to the other wizards.) Everyone is hearing a different thing. Languages, tongues, sounds. One person can perfectly hear the wind, while another hears the sound of grass being bent. Another hears thing incredibly soft, while another almost has their ear drums rupture at the buzzing of a gnat. And forget about any one person understanding another. For the heavily Corrupted, it's even worse. They scream and thrash on the ground. A few look to be like they're trying to rip the white out of their flesh. Others seem to be fighting their right side of their body with their left. It's just in the small radius that the destroyed Spire was...but it's impressive anyway."SSEN!" You hear Mage yell from a ways away. "I'VE GOT A DAWNCHASER PLAN!" He's got Peri/Mari and they're pointing at another Rosetta Spire. "KEEP THAT THING BUSY!" They take off."You think you're clear?!" You hear Tragedy's voice boom from the sphere. "Fine! Let's see how YOU like it when your foe REFUSES TO DIE!"The Necrosphere starts to glow a different color now.
Am I the only one who thinks that making Ssen white would just make things WORSE for the dramatae? You don't want a renegade paladin on your ass, right?
>>25102131Nichts gut, sicherlich.
>>25102162Try to get back to the treeline, I think. We don't want TOO many casualties. Any that happen here are regretful. One more turn until we can just fuck tragedy's day with warcrimes.
>>25102162About one turn until we've got it ready?Fine then, charge up into spitting distance of it, and cut past it so it has to make a sharp turn.
>>25102162Roll our eyes and move into position where we can get the best shot possible on him
>>25102242(Or, in other words: let's go on a quick tangent to the necrosphere.)
>>25102173oh god, if ssen turned white she would serve citadel, not those dramatee idiots who have damn near killed it with thee incompetence. Let use hope we never have to see what a white ssen would do, I fear the would wold not survive such a thing.
>>25102278Ummmm.....Tragedy's really the only incompetant one. Rage had his shit airtight. comedy's a bit meh, Peace is a force to be reckoned with.
>>25102328there's plenty of infighting among the citadel servants.Comedy likes wasteful parties, and Peace was dumb enough to agitate the HELL out of the snake.
>>25102256>>25102250>>25102242You charge towards the Necrosphere. The mass in your craw is tingling and..actually is kinda sweet...to your tongue anyway. The Necrosphere just hangs there in the air. The smell is horrific, and the arcane glow is still mounting. As you approach, something drops from the bottom of the sphere. A body that's dried and desiccated. The skin pulled tight, and quicksilver bracers on his arms.Lea's father takes a combat stance. The Sphere is about 20-30 feet above you right now. Your poison spit is ready.

>>25102494You take a deep breath, and you spit. The ball of poison splats right into the sphere. Your eyes see the yellow fumes come off of it. The lump burns right through the dead flesh too. It sinks past the shoulder of one body, and you see it rupture open the stomach of another dead body. There's a sound of gas releasing, and you smell rotten eggs."SSEN!" You hear a voice scream. You look, you see Julian and Maxine. Maxine's eyes and hair are glowing green, and Julian is pushing Mab down. "BRACE YOURSELF!" >>25102836I think not dying is a bigger concern.Uh, when we blow him into smithereens, Citadel can make Zombie Tragedy, and then we take that one's head?

>>25102896But what about the great news?
>>25103003TOO MUCH NEWS!!
>>25102867"I'm going to have to hear all of it at some point, right?"
>>25103063Our lamia brain can handle it
>>25102882>Aggravating news to bad news to great news. Need to know what went wrong before what went right.this
>>25102867Let me guess.Good news, the monster army is gone with the wind.Bad news, most of them are dead.Aggravating news, Tragedy escaped.
>>25103101I would think that is would be that his body isn't recoverable
>>25102885"Oh, Tricia, I was having the silliest dream. I had just won a bet and everything was exploding." You groan."You didn't win the bet. Giant sphere doesn't count as a monster." Tricia says. "She's fine."You hear sighs of relief. You slowly get pulled up, you see the Dawnchasers, Julian, and Mab. You also see that you're on the only little patch of green surrounded by a massive crater."Mab's magic saved your ass." Mari says."Alright, so give me the bad news, first." You say."We're still stuck in the Grove." Tricia says. "Mage says we can't get out unless we find a portal, which there aren't any, or are tossed out, which only the Dramatae can do.""And the aggravating news?""We've picked through the remains of the big dead body sphere." Tricia gestures. You see dead greying bodies here and there, most of them are burnt husks, but you also see a few piles of fresh ones, and more than a couple hanging from the apple trees. "We can't find Tragedy." She sighs. "Now, it was a BIG explosion and we haven't found a body...but we know better.""Good news?""Well, as you guessed, the big death sphere of dead bodies is gone." She says."And the great news?""I rewired the Rosettas." Mage says. "I built the things, so I know how they work." He grins. "The monster army the Dramatae was building? Yeah. Not so much anymore." He nods. "Most of the lesser corrupted monsters have wandered off with their own species. They're trying to find a way out.""They aren't planning on working together." Lea says, she's fitting a pair of quicksilver bracers to her wrists. "But they aren't fighting each other at least. Mostly they just want to go home.""We also found the Salt Queens." Mari says. "They're fine.""I've been able to subdue the Corrupted monsters." Mage says. "I've got them walking in circles or given the crippling vertigo. But it's a stopgap at best, I can make them go crazy, but that's fatal.""So that's the situation." Tricia says.
>>25103204Mab's thoughts:>Oh shit, if that paladin dies, so does the cushy elf-nation agreement and my only ticket of getting rid of thistleblossom
>>25103204Alright, we might have a solution for the corrupted. We just need to light beacon into its burst mode so it covers them all. Mage can you gather them up into a single spot?Lets start sparring with Lea to charge up beacon.
>>25103204So I guess we've got to find an exit and get everyone the fuck out. Also Giant spheres are monsters, you just don't get it. Their true evil is beyond your comprehension.
>>25103252we should PROBABLY be able to charge the beacon by just focusing hard for 5 rounds. I don't know if fighting is ACTUALLY needed.>>25103204"Well, it seems that it's time to go make friends. And... a portal. Tell me, does anyone know where the elves and conscripts are? They're the only unknowns on my saving-list right now."
>>25103204"Lea. Lea. LEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Hug time. Dad won't bother you anymore."
>>25103302they can just make another one. Don't suggest this.
>>25103309Fine. Then we just hug everyone. And we'll talk to lea later about her dad.
>be riding floating corpse tank juggernaut>about to straight up murder that paladin with your wave motion cannon>she spits at you>everything explodes
>>25103204First things first. Does anyone have that wooden compass or woodsman's compass or something? We may be able to use that in conjunction with Maxine's magic to find our way to the portal.
>>25103317I'm OK with hugs in general, yes.
First order of business is the corrupted creatures. We need to fix that, somehow.Fight one of the weaker ones until we can use a wide-beacon-burst?OH!let's wire beacon right into one of the language pillars and send a pulse outthat aught to do it.
>>25103365make some kind of pulse beacon, one might say?
>>25103204"Think we could jumpstart beacon off of one of those language pillars? They must be full of all sorts of magic, right? They're huge."
>>25103451could we just take ones of those things with us...and like rig it to beacon to use at any time
You pull everyone into a full group lamia hug. Mab is a little startled and squirmy.Julian shakes his head. "You NEVER use acid on corpse undead, girl!" He lightly bops you on the head. "Didn't your father teach you anything." He shook his head. "First necromancer he ever fought ended up with his eyebrows singed off and a chunk of femur stuck in his side." He smiles at you. "He'd be VERY disappointed." He says with a joking smile."Well, it seems that it's time to go make friends. And...a portal. Tell me, does anyone know where the elves and conscripts are? They're the only unknowns on my saving-list right now."Julian shrugs. "If they were smart they ran back to their camp.""If they were unlucky they got eaten by that giant fire-breathing undead centipede." Mab says."Giant what-now?" Mage asks.Mab points at Tricia. "Her fault.""How is it MY fault?" Tricia says."Cause that's the crazy undead wasp witch that was summoned because YOU'RE here!" She snaps."Huh." Tricia says. "So that's what she meant. Thought that it was a metaphor or a summon."You hold up Beacon and look at Mage. "Think we could jumpstart beacon off of one of those language pillars? They must be full of all sorts of magic, right? They're huge."Mage shrugs. "I suppose. It's always risky pushing a different kind of magic through a construct that wasn't supposed to do it...but they did modify it already to corrupt them." He nods. "Okay, come on. Lets see what we can do."You head over to one of the Rosettas. You see corrupted lizard people just lying on the ground."I've got them so dizzy, they can't even think straight." Mage says. "Alright...touch Beacon here...and let me see what I can do."Roll 1d20
>>25103568It was less acid and more chlorine gas Uncle!
>>25103568"Wait, that thing breathes FIRE? Where do they find this stuff?"
>>25103597Mage fiddles with some runes and stones that are on the Rosetta's side. He's in his element. The others are trying to figure out what to do, or are still picking through the remains of the Necrosphere to hopefully find Tragedy. You however...feel someone behind you. They put a hand on your shoulder and...it does feel a little relaxing..."We can make a deal..." A voice whispers. Ohh, that's a pleasing voice. "No more Lightbringers, and I'll just take what you say is okay. Bad people...monsters...whatever...but I need to eat. Is that too much to ask? I'll even help you make the other monsters smarter...I will want my cities back, no changes in them, of course...just have them be back as part of me...please?" The voice continues."I can help you too...give Tricia a stable body, heal Mari and Peri and let them live long...just let me be, and we can make a deal on my new diet...the Grand Seal can fix a lot of things that are wrong with me. Make me better. You can make me better...isn't that what you wanted?" A chuckle. "I can make you better if you want me to, all you have to do is ask, and I'll ev-""Okay!" Mage says, and the presence is gone. "Step back Ssen. Let's try that zapping the brillitite idea. Maybe we can have ONE thing that doesn't explode today. Okay?"As you look down at yourself, shaking your mind free, you can't help but notice that one of your scales looks very VERY pale...but then it fades back to the usual green.
>>25103832For god's sake, tell someone that Citadel just tried to talk with us.
>>25103832"Okay, we're done trying to convert citadel. Thing just tried to talk with me."
>>25103832So, Citadel is finally trying to get on Ssen's good side?Better bring out its A game, Ssen's a discerning lady.
>>25103891those... two sentences don't really follow. Usually we LIKE people we try to convert to talk to us.It's just this one is... creeps. Major creeps.
>>25103832Well now it's time to fucking alert people that the Citadel just tried to talk to us.We ain't a fucking zombie infectee who doesn't tell anyone and almost gets everyone killed.
>>25103891That's an unpladiny thing to say.
>>25103832Get back a few feet, talk to some other dawnchasers"Citadel seems to have finally taken a personal interest, I just talked to it. You guys get any of that?"
>>25103937yeah, we're telling people.Just not implying that we want convertees to never talk. That's not quite right.
>>25103934except this one just tried to corrupt us by offering to make us "better", and we all know what happens when people accept a gift from Citadel/Dragon of Shadows.
>>25103987yeah. We -usually- like the convertees to talk.We don't like the convertees to be trying to use magic control on us.
Well. It's good to know it's willing to talk.
>>25103832"Citadel was just trying to convert me, give me a second."
>"You didn't win the bet. Giant sphere doesn't count as a monster."
>>25104088they're just not as VERSED in monster knowledge as us.
>>25104088It's totally a monster. Tricia's just being awkward because she doesn't want to pay.
>>25104115she never actually took the bet, she can just say that. But no, she claims it's not a monster!
>>25104126Well, of course TRICIA thinks that a collection of bodies isn't a monster...
>>25104148ah I see okay that makes sense.
>>25103960"Ugh, give me a minute...Citadel seems to have finally taken a personal interest, I just talked to it. You guys get any of that?"Everyone just stares at you, there's some head shaking."Great." Tricia says. "Another one. You'd think that they'd get the hint after a while that we just want them to FUCK! OFF!" She screams at the sky."Well, the Fifth isn't too bad." Lea says."I don't trust that guy." Mari says. "He...She...Whatever...is planning something. It wears a mask, and is old and crazy.""They're all old and crazy." Peri says."Yeah, but I think Mari might be right in that the Fifth's just a bit cleverer than the others." Mage says. "Hidden plans and crap. Anyway, you feeling okay Ssen?"
>>25103960Maybe discretion is in order hiere...
>>25104199"i do now....but that was scary. I think I saw a scale turn paler for a second. Back to normal now, but still scary as hell."
>>25104199"I am now. but if i start staring off into space, or if any part of me starts turning white, hit me. Hard"
>>25104199"I'm worryingly fine, now. Might have turned a bit... pale earlier, but I didn't accept anything. It seems to be kind of desperate."
>>25104199I'm better now, scale went a little pale for a second but all good now.Getting really fucking tired of corruption shit.
It offered to behave how I wanted it to, even promising to only eat 'bad people'. And that I would of course be there to help it determine who the 'bad people' were. Please, none of you hesitate to kill me on the spot if I start thinking I have the right to pass that judgement on others.
>>25104199".... (a look of shock/horror dawns on ssen's face) ooooh this is bad I think citadel now knows how to worm its way into the mind of a lamia. This is bad this is very bad."
>>25104242"I do now....but that was scary. I think I saw a scale turn paler for a second. Back to normal now, but still scary as hell. If I start staring off into space, or if any part of me starts turning white, hit me. Hard""It tried to corrupt you?" Julian asks."Yeah, but I didn't accept anything. It seems to be kind of desperate." You say."Good." Tricia says."Are we still okay with me lighting up Beacon?" Mage asks. "I don't want this to end up being Bad, or anything."
>>25104353It could already do that, it's how its been corrupting them
>>25104199"no. Nothing that's happened recently has been remotely 'okay', but I can keep going."
>>25104359Wait, can't we charge beacon by intercepting hits with clang? Just have Lea wail on clang for a bit.
>>25104199"Better than I was a second ago... unless I'm mistaken one of my scales even went white for a moment there.""It sounded so... reasonable. It offered so much. For a moment I actually forgot that it eats people's souls.""Go ahead, Mage. Light, don't let us fuck this up."
>>25104353>>25104364yeah, we've been vulnerable this entire time.
>>25104380Or have everyone do it and call it a clangbang
>>25104364I meant the whole we arnt completly vulnerable to citadels influence due to the whole being a lamia thing, like our friends were during our 3 month stay in citadel
>>25104359Light 'er up Mage. We consecrating this hellhole
>>25104389I thought a clangbang was what happened after we started sleeping with Tricia and Clang.Dad DID say to use protection.
>>25104380Insulting to the beacon! No, the only way is to charge it with magic energy.>>25104359"As long as the power's going through beacon, it will probably turn out good. Maybe even dispel all the cursed magic around here, that'd be nice."
>>25104399The translator tower probably had something to do with it
Guys...What if this taints beacon? Isn't that how peace got her sword?
>>25104456Beacon is too pure for that. The lantern-metal sword was shit anyways and not pure.
>>25104456No. Peace took it from Father. The sword was made out of the non-pure lantern-metal.
Go ahead Mage. Lets ruin another of the Dramatae's plans.
>>25104456Ehh, I don't think Citadel would have made that corruption attempt if it didn't think this was going to work. It would have let it happen. It's desperate, and it thinks this will cause it immeasurable harm.
"It sounded so... reasonable. It offered so much. For a moment I actually forgot that it eats people's souls."Go ahead, Mage. Light, don't let us fuck this up."Mage nods. Everyone takes a few steps back, and gets behind one of the larger corpse piles. Mage takes a deep breath, aims his staff, and shoots a lightning bolt at Beacon. The light pulse that comes off of it isn't as big as it was the other times. Just as how Beacon doesn't light up brightly when you mock fight with the other Dawnchasers.Still your ranseur flares for a moment, and then the Rosetta flares as well, then the next Rosetta, and the next, and the next. Mage looks very pleased with himself. "Bastards try to hijack MY construct."You look at the lizard people that were under this Rosetta. They're still on the ground, loopy as all get out, but the shiny white scales now look dull, dingy white, and in a few cases a little greenish. It also looks like the dull white scales are flaking off. Slowly. One Lizard Person gets to his feet. Takes a few steps...vomits onto the ground...takes a few more steps, peels off a few white scales, and then looks at you and blinks in surprise.<A Beautiful One? Where is this one? This one remembers being at a feast...eating and eating but never full...the air smells of eggs and death. Why is this one covered in sickness and dead scales?>

I will see to These Others, and ensure that they return. Then we will search for an exit. We will find you, should we be successful.>Tricia and the others look at you. "Good news, I hope?" Julian asks.
>>25104696"It seems to have worked, they are no longer corrupted and are going to look for an exit and tell me if they find one."
>>25104696Yeah, he's fine and he's going to help the others. After that we're gonna get the fuck out of here.
>>25104696"So far, none of them want to eat us"
>>25104696"Great results, they're hardly mad at all! In fact, they'll be gathering together and waiting for us to find a way out and save them with the compass. Ideal, really."
>>25104773"Well, I guess they'll be technically searching on their own for a way out, but that's basically waiting for us to save them when it comes to crazy magic portals."
>>25104696<You can find us at Stone Hall, Scheherazade's home. Once we get out take everyone you can get to listen and go there. Its the safest place for everything not human>to Julian "They're back to themselves at least. Now we know we have an answer to Citadel's corruption."
>>25104766But it's true.
>>25104861It's rude and racist.
<You can find us at Stone Hall, Scheherazade's home. Once we get out take everyone you can get to listen and go there. Its the safest place for everything not human.>The lizard man bows and goes to his companions. You turn to Julian "They're back to themselves at least. Now we know we have an answer to Citadel's corruption.""Sort of," Mage says. He points, a few lizard people are still white, and are twitching on the ground going through a Babel effect. "If you're too far gone..."Tricia pats Mage on the back. "You're brilliant Mage, you figured this out with just bashing things together. We get back home, you'll get the kinks worked out.""Thanks." Mage says."Alright." Mab says. "And I'm going to call that the test of Love, and we're done. He's Dagda, whoopie." She looks at you. "Now how the fuck do we get OUT of here?!"
well, we should work on making contact with the various monster groups and finding a way out.How the hell do we make portals. Do you think if we shattered the maw, a portal would show up?
>>25104913"I have no idea, and I'm very open for suggestions.">>25104885Hey, it' a very reasonable concern amongst recovering Citadel-corrupted "monsters".
>>25104913"Killing Comedy seems like a good idea. It might even help us get out."
>>25104913"Oh, that's a great question. I'm still working on that.We could try starting a wildfire, to reduce the magical-forest to a... not forest. That might also remove the magical part. We also need to break a giant magical sphere in the center of this place, that might do it. Or at least the dramatae will kick us out for damaging their sweet forest so badly."
>>25104913The woodland compass should help us navigate the forest. If it's anything like a regular compass, it should show which way is definitely North, at the very least. Perhaps there's an area of the forest where the enchantment is weakest and where the Dawnchasers can attempt to make a permanent exit?Does the forest use Elven Magic? If so, perhaps Maxine and Mage can postulate how the nature of the magic forest works. It gets people lost and makes them stay lost, but is it just altering perception of the forest, or is the forest actually moving, or is it all just a very clever magic maze?Tricia might be able to grab a bug and have it fly up to see if it can gain a good vantage point. See if there are any absolutes in the forest.
>>25104913I'll take any suggestions.
>>25104913The 2nd direction the miner's compass pointed to?
>>25105083this was it.wait.Where's the quicksilver round here? We should look for it.
"Oh, that's a great question. I'm still working on that. Mage, work with Maxine to see if you can figure out if there's any elf magic tricks. Tricia, scout out the area, see if there are absolute borders."We could try starting a wildfire, to reduce the magical-forest to a...not forest. That might also remove the magical part. We also need to break a giant magical sphere in the center of this place, that might do it. Or at least the Dramatae will kick us out for damaging their sweet forest so badly.""About that," Julian says. "Ssen...walk with me for a bit. We need to speak."The two of you step aside and walk around the blast site. "Ssen...you can't destroy the Citadel's Maw. I'm sorry, not yet." He holds up a hand. "May I explain first, before you tell me I'm wrong?"
>>25105094>Where's the quicksilver round here? That was the Rosetta Spires
>>25105100"Please speak. I was just going to fall back to my default 'in case of dramatae' plan"
>>25105100Please do so Uncle, before you worry me further.
>>25105100"What fresh darkness is this..Please do Uncle."
>>25105100"Well, it WOULD be difficult with all those corpses, I agree. We might have to get some masks."
>>25105100"You know, if you have a plan I'm all ears. Mine aren't the highest of quality, as you may have noticed."
>>25105100Let me guess. It'll weaken Citadel, maybe let the over-water settlements fall into the sea.
>>25105140"Well, it WOULD be difficult with all those corpses, I agree. We might have to get some masks." You start."No, Ssen...I mean you shouldn't destroy it even if you had the chance." "What fresh Darkness is this? Go on Uncle, before you worry me further." You say.He sighs. "The Maw is weakened, according to your friends. But it's currently keeping the animals and crops of Citadel whole, correct?" He asks. "We shut that off...and the crops whiter and animal populations drop. People will starve, swiftly." He says. "There's millions of people in Citadel, Ssen. The food supply's been damaged as it is, but if we cut it off?" He shakes his head. "I agree, it's evil...but what happens if we stop it suddenly? Then whole parts of the city will starve to death, die...and their souls and bodies will end up here anyway." He shrugs, helplessly. "It will be destroyed, but not until we can stop Citadel from claiming the dead and their souls, not before."
>>25105162This. More time is needed to evacuate the city. Things have been moving too break neck. Really several months time would be preferable but it could take years to deal with and resettle the number of people living in the city. Not to mention that tens of thousands will likely starve unless we can get crop yields without citadel to go way up.
>>25105224"Wouldn't it stand to reason that the souls trapped by Citadel will be freed when we defeat Citadel anyway? If that were the case, the deaths now would not mean much when ultimately everyone ends up taking the same Journey. In some way, it might be sparring them the horrors that are surely to come when Citadel gets desperate."
>>25105224The Dramatae have millions of hostages, but this may be our only chance to destroy the Maw, given its location.Choices, choices. There has to be a third option. How exactly does the Maw maintain the food supply? Does it magically transport nutrients into farmland? Does it magically nurture crops? Something along those lines?
>>25105224"And the Light Wept, for he knew as long as he and Life existed, so too would exist a vast and myriad darkness. It never IS simple is it?"
>>25105224Why is this shit never simple? Very well Uncle I shall refrain from leaving this place as destroyed as I intended it to be.
>>25105275>but this may be our only chance to destroy the Maw, given its location. Not if we get the elves on our side. If we can remove the Dramatae they can destroy it with Fey magic once we've taken care of the other things.
>>25105224"That's a point. but if we strike now, then even if we fall, the citadel will too. If we don't, and fail... it will grow back.Maybe we can set blast runes on it? Or guards? Blast runes and guards? I like to hedge my bets as much as possible. It's how I've made so many."
>>25105224You either die a lightbringer or see yourself become the villain. I'd rather be citadel's villian.
"And the Light Wept, for he knew as long as He and Life existed, so too would exist a vast and myriad Darkness."It never IS simple is it?" You say."It's not supposed to be. That's why we exist." Julian says. "Wouldn't it stand to reason that the souls trapped by Citadel will be freed when we defeat Citadel anyway? If that were the case, the deaths now would not mean much when ultimately everyone ends up taking the same Journey. In some way, it might be sparring them the horrors that are surely to come when Citadel gets desperate." You say. "And if we do this, Citadel will fall eventually, but if we don't and fail...it'll grow back."Julian nods. "Would you permit any of your friends' souls to be used by Citadel as its brick and mortar for even a moment?" He asks.
>>25105472"That's a question I'd rather not learn the answer to, isn't it? Right, no destroying the Maw, at least not right now."
I already have.
>>25105472"Three of them."
>>25105472"Several of them already are. Which is one of the sources of my hurry in regards to freeing them. We will have the elves as our allies soon, if all goes well. My friend has passed all the tests. I must insist on sentries and explosive runes around this thing, and the readiness for it to go off if our mission becomes impossible. They will be freed, fast or slow, starvation or no. But we'll try your way first."
>>25105567explosion runes won't work.
>>25105589FfffffffOkay, then perhaps just some guys at the ready with hammers.Or perhaps we'll roll this thing out of the field, but still near the pit, so we can get at it as we please.
Didn't the Fifth say there were MULTIPLE Maws? Shouldn't we point this out?
Should we mention that Ssen's father, Liam Patrick, said that the way that he should have gone about things the first time was to attempt to FREE Citadel? We do not know how Citadel's original state was; it might be that it was created as a land-spirit in the vein of the Fifth Dramatae, who didn't appear to require worship or sacrifice to sustain itself. But over time, perhaps the Dramatae made modifications to Citadel, making it more sapient and shaping its personality to be easily manipulated, in addition to empowering it by using souls and corpses to feed it. In this, perhaps Citadel is more of an addict to the Dramatae's steady stream of corpses and souls, and what needs to be done to free it from the Dramatae's influence is to simply get it to stop eating those things.
The problem with getting guys with hammers is they'd need compasses on their own. Once we leave here it will be a pain and a half getting back. I think we have to make the decision destroy it now or leave it up to strengthen Citadel.I say destroy it.
>>25105626It was other organs I think
>>25105656Yeah, the Maw is like the stomach. The Fifth implied there was a brain/heart thing.
"Several of them already are. Which is one of the sources of my hurry in regards to freeing them. "We will have the elves as our allies soon, if all goes well. My friend has passed all the tests. I must insist on sentries and explosive runes around this thing, and the readiness for it to go off if our mission becomes impossible. They will be freed, fast or slow, starvation or no. But we'll try your way first."He nods. "Sound plan. I'll have what men I can gather stand too."You see Tricia come up to you. "Hey, we got a plan!"You head back to the group."And you're sure this will work?" Maxine says."You're obviously not familiar with any of our plans." Mage says. "Ah, Ssen." Peri says. "We have a plan.""It involves the Hunter's Compass." Mari says holding up another compass. "We can use it to track people. We thought that we can use it to track down Comedy or Tragedy if they're here and beat the living shit out of them until they let us go."Even if they aren't here, odds are good it'll lead us to a portal...maybe." Mari says."Trouble is," Mage says. "We need blood, or hair, or something that's connected to them. We thought that you might have an idea on that."
>>25105705"Or we could track someone we know isn't in the grove."
>>25105705"We have both of Thistleblossom's parents right here. You don't get more connected than that."
>>25105758Except not really. It's just elf bullshit.
>>25105758Brilliant.jpg>>25105773this whole thing is elf bullshit.
>>25105705"So, we've not found any mask bits from all the searching of the corpse-sphere-monster? What a tragedy. Comedy, though, well,>>25105758this
>>25105787We need something with a little more substance than grade a elf bullshit.
>>25105802To get out of an elf bullshit trap? Why?
>>25105802but elf magic is what powers elf bullshitits bullshit elvish enough to work
>>25105809>>25105812Citadel bullshit > Elf Bullshit
>>25105787thats the point, elf magic works on bullshit, and Mab being Thistleblossom's mother is deeply ancient and repeated constantly meaning it is probably one of the most potent bits of elf magic out there.
I feel the need to point out a point about elf magic that Julian's already established:Elf bullshit is real if you just BELIEVE(like WH40k ork technology lolol)
lookthe important thing hereis we're telling mage to DO IT in a forceful matter. That will get it done, whatever it is.
Whose ready to see the sparks fly when Mab/Maxine meets Sophie?By the end of this quest Mage could have his own Harem Anime
>>25105863Good old Mage.
hmmm... what IS something we could have gotten from comedy? or tragedy? or peace? Can we use the compass on our poison scar?
>>25105873You forget what kind of quest this is.
>>25105873>Tells the girl who likes him and who he likes back that he's just not ready for a relationship right now>Comes back a couple of weeks later with a wifeSparks? What sparks?

>>25105922>I think I might just want some time alone to sort myself out>No worry bro, we got you hooked up with the queen of all elves for the rebound. I got your back, my friend.
So, other than taunting mage, have we thought of any good ideas on how to get comedy?assuming plan "taunt mage with his new elven lineage" doesn't work, that is.
>>25105964So he's an elf AND a ghoul
>>25105942>But I really... REALLY think I just need a moment alone>Yeah, sure, you can spend some time talking to the Salt Queens
>>25105964>newWhatever do you mean, he's always been Dagda.
"Would your hair work Mab?" You ask. "Aren't you supposed to be related to Thistledown?"Maxine shakes her head. "Yeah, that's not how it works." She sighs. "I doubt the last couple of Queen Mab's have been any relationship to any other." She points at Julian. "You can thank HIM for that, we tended to burn through a bunch.""I'm not here to argue or fight you...yet." Julian growls."The Magic is the same." You say. "Elf bullshit or not, can't IT be used to trace?""Magic doesn't work like that, Ssen." Mage sighs. "The Hunter's Compass is flesh or blood only.""Would I work?" Mari asks. "I'm related to Tragedy, distantly, but he's needed blood relatives to jump every time.""That would probably work." Mage says. "But you aren't here, Mari. You're back in White Tree.""Huh?" Maxine and Julian ask."Long story." All of the Dawnchasers say at once."Okay...hold one, maybe I grabbed something that's got my flesh, or blood, or whatever in it." Mari rummages around their pack.Peri comes up and pauses as she digs through the pack. "Umm...okay, bad question but...would we be okay if we settled for Donovan?" She sighs. "because I have an old locket with some hair." She sighs and looks away. "I don't wear it anymore, just...shut up...okay?"

>>25105705Do still we have that metal bar that had Tragedy's melted down mask? While it's not the mask in its unaltered form, it might just suffice for this type of thing.Barring that, did any of the Dawnchasers swipe any personal effects or stuff from Tragedy's manor? Like the gem fragments that he was using to contain his relatives' souls?
>>25106009"Donovan's fine! Honestly, my newest plan was to try to find the tree comedy did that necromancy to make the new donovan on and look for scraps, but the chances of finding ONE CERTAIN TREE... we'd be here a while. Let's just use the locket."
>>25106009"Far be it from me to Joke about it. Okay that's a lie, I'm holding back about a dozen different quips here." (beat) "It's really hard."
>>25106009Unless anyone else has any other ideas, we'll be going after Captain Hook.
>>25106035"Really, really hard."I second this, by the way.
>>25106009>"Hey." Donovan says. He looks at his stump. "There isn't anything you can do about this?" He asks Comedy.>"Sorry." She shrugs. "The Citadel remembers you with no hand...I'll fix it later when you've got a proper new body." She winks and blows a kiss at the corpse. "The murdering bitch is that way." She points.>"You don't want me to kill the Serpent?" Donovan says.>"No, no." She says. "I've learned MY lesson." She nods. "No elaborate plans, no waiting for the third test, no giving her chances to escape. Go." She says.>Donovan takes off. He literally disappears behind a tree.Which murdering bitch is he after, exactly? We've all regrouped now.
>>25106054"You have no idea how much it pained me to not be able to talk while mixing potions to blow up the monster sphere. Also someone still owes me 5 gold"
>>25106061yeah, like, US? did WE murder someone? Or peri, for the kid?
>>25106075how did I fuck that up?
"Donovan's fine! Honestly, my newest plan was to try to find the tree comedy did that necromancy to make the new Donovan on and look for scraps, but the chances of finding ONE CERTAIN TREE... we'd be here a while. Let's just use the locket." You say. "And far be it from me to Joke about it. Okay that's a lie, I'm holding back about a dozen different quips here." You pause. "It's really hard." You say. "Really really hard.""We GET it." Peri snaps as she takes the compass. She gets the old piece of hair out of the locket and slips it inside a little slot in the compass. The needle spins and then points one way...then it spins and point in another direction. They're both in the similar direction, just slightly off from each other."You have no idea how much it pained me to not be able to talk while mixing poisons to blow up the monster sphere. Also someone still owes me 5 gold.""We never agreed...and a sphere is NOT a monster!" Tricia snaps.
>>25106102"A sphere made of corpses binding itself to a mage that shoots lasers is TOTALLY a monster Tricia!"
>>25106102"It definitely was. I would not invite it to dinner."
>>25106102"Anyone got an idea why Donovon seems to be existing in two places at once, despite that being impossib-Oh I get it. Seems that this compass has locked on to the corpse of Donovon we shot up AND the Donovan that Comedy brought back. I think that's the case at any rate."
>>25106102>>25106117>>25106129Ssen: Prove that those who follow the beautiful ones go mad.
>>25106102Tricia. Would you consider a golem being controlled by an insane and vengeful wizard a monster? If that golem flew, and shot destructive beams of magic, would it still be a monster? If that golem was filled with corpses to power said beams, would it still be a monster? Now imagine that golem is now a sphere. Is it still a monster?
>>25106102"You're right, we didn't agree. And we will work out its being a monster or not later " followed by an exaggerate wink.
"Anyone got an idea why Donovon seems to be existing in two places at once, despite that being impossib-Oh I get it. Seems that this compass has locked on to the corpse of Donovon we shot up AND the Donovan that Comedy brought back. I think that's the case at any rate.""Ugh, two of them, just what I need." Peri mutters. You all head off towards the direction the needle points."And it definitely was. I would not invite it to dinner." You say. "A sphere made of corpses binding itself to a mage that shoots lasers is TOTALLY a monster Tricia!""It's a construct!" She replies. "It's like a suit of armor! Calling that a monster is calling the ship Leviathan a monster. It's a giant thing that fires at people! Same thing!"
>>25106218"Leviathan isn't build out of rotting corpses and Citadel magic."
>>25106218"Okay, let's settle this. TRAGEDY is a monster. So technically neither of us is completely right or completely wrong."
>>25106218"Tragedy was wearing it, and he is a monster, right?"
>>25106278Tragedy is a monster so Tragedy in a suit of armor is a monster. We're right.
>>25106278>>25106255Fine! She wins! Lets concede this battle, this one might result in us sleeping on the floor.
>>25106300Yes, but the armor is not Tragedy. It's just bound to him/under his control.
>>25106218"Golems and constructs can totally be monsters! Think about it, Citadel started off as just a CONSTRUCTED city. Now Citadel is a monster. It just takes the right context for a construct to be a monster."
>>25106218"Fine, let's drop the monster-or-not point for now, since we'll be at this all day.Let's talk about something cheerier. Like how we'll celibrate once we get out of here, having successfully dissolved a monster army and stopped the march of an elven one. Also we made tragedy disappear, which may or may not be good."
>>25106339>>25106319Tricia pls go.
Donovan: Stage an ambush while these ladies are bickering whether a sphere of corpses is a monster or not.
This argument is why you don't adventure with couples.
Recall:Ssen and Tricia have basically been arguing with each other for their entire lives. This is probably inevitable.
>>25106375It's possible to enjoy lighthearted squabbling, and to let it not get in the way of the business at hand. It's all in the delivery, and in knowing when to press and when to let it drop.
>>25106387>>25106347>>25106355Aspie please go. There are more immediate concerns. Stop derailing this over this silly argument.
>>25106390It's probably a way we show affection
>>25106403We're gonna get that 5 gold man. Do youre not care for sanctity of bets/
>>25106403There are no more immediate concerns. We can keep having this silly argument until we find Donnie.
>>25106411It's not about the gold man. It's that we are TOTALLY right here.
So the current plan is to draw Donovan into showing himself by driving him nuts with this silly argument.
>>25106431yes, pretty much.No ambusher could resist such a choice moment to strike. None!
So wait, if we're both women who sleeps on the couch tonight?
>>25106431No, the point is to get an outside opinion by restraining him when he attacks.
>>25106443we don't fit on any less than 3 couches.
>>25106443We wouldn't even fit on the couch. And given that we're miles away from Stone Hall and River's Crossing, we don't even have a couch.
>>25106443>>25106455Tricia is the only one who can wear the pants in the relationship.
>>25106469>>25106455I was talking about the giant metaphorical couch in our heart.
>>25106480It's more of a waterbed
>>25106480Well Tricia is always in our heart, whereas we can't go inside ourself. So Tricia will have to sleep on that couch.
>>25106480Ssen is dominant on the outside it stands to reason that she is the one that has to be denied lewdness relief when she fucks up.trish is the dominant one in bed anyway right?
And so Ssen and Tricia argued, and argued, and argued, until everyone told them to shut up.
>>25106523Nope, but she is into bondage.
>>25106255"Leviathan isn't build out of rotting corpses and Citadel magic." You say. "Okay, let's settle this. TRAGEDY is a monster. So technically neither of us is completely right or completely wrong.""No," She says. "The BET was that Tragedy would create or summon a giant monster out of corpses. He just made a giant sphere armor...thing.""You people care about this stuff?" Maxine asks."As I said," Mage said. "You aren't really that familiar with us." He says. You get towards the target, heading into the woods once more."Sssh!" Peri says."-hen Peace finds out I sure don't want to be YOU." You hear a voice. Comedy!"How was I to know?" Another voice says. Tragedy! "Lamia poison is just supposed to melt bones! I didn't know it did...THAT!""OUR lamias just melt bones." Comedy snaps. "If you had done ANY research, especially since we've been FIGHTING a lamia, you'd KNOW that they have three different toxins within them, ONE of them is ACIDIC!" She snaps. And WHAT do you do? Move a GIANT BALL of rotting corpses that have been stewing in their own juice, gas, and magic and put it RIGHT in front of her!" She scoffs. "Donnie, cut his balls off.""Wait! Wait, wait, wait!" Tragedy says. "There's no way the monster survived that explosion. She was at ground zero! This is just those stupid lackeys of hers, running around as best they can.""You find a body?" Comedy asks."I've just managed to get back here in one piece!" Tragedy says. You've come up upon them. You see Comedy shouting at Tragedy. Donovan's corpse has a sword at his neck.More importantly, there's an arch of tree branches past them. The trees you see through that arch are NOT apple trees."More's the pity." Comedy says."Please, just let me go." Tragedy says. "I can fix this?"(cont)
>>25106582"How? By using more of those notes Rage made?" Comedy says. "Oh wait, those were stolen. How about using the Glass Assassins to secure the Iron Books so we can use them to corrupt monsters wholesale, oh wait...we lost BOTH of those." She snaps her fingers. "How about you use that mask of yours, that you keep safe in your vault with you stolen soul collection? Oh? Is that gone too?" She clucks her tongue. "Well, at least you have the army of monsters that your Passion soldiers have...ahh, sorry. I forgot that you were ENDLESSLY INCOMPETENT!" She snaps. "Tragedy, the great Bear Traitor, the unbeatable Battlemage, the master of arcane lore and not a single shred of it of ANY USE!" She motions with her hand and Donovan lowers the sword."You know Peace's decree." She says. "You only leave the Grove one of two ways, either with the Serpent's death, or with your own."Now come on, Donnie." She says. "We have to salvage what we can from the Fey Court.""And I assume THAT went well for you." Tragedy says."My hands were tied thanks to Tradition Magic, and let's see...I got us a trio of willing revenant servants, a huge Citadel power boost for trapping the Serpent here, WHICH was on Peace's orders, AND I got another boost when I broke her heart." She laughs. "And now, I'm off to get rid of some nasty information, and to get what forces we can. So, yes, things did go a little pear shaped...but I managed to make things WORK." She scoffs. "Later, loser."She and Donovan go through the arch. It flickers and then the trees on the other side return to being apple tress."Bitch." Tragedy says looking at the arch.
>>25106582iss there ANY way we can just sort of... sneak up behind comedy and put our hand on her shoulder?"Hello." and all that.

time to remove this paticular weed in the garden. attack.
>>25106656I dunno. She IS the bigger bitch, and he's had to stew over her bitchiness a LOT longer than he's had to deal with us. Not to mention she was a bitch to him more recently. Maybe a dose of the black to drop him, then make the offer.
>>25106696The offer better not be any better than "A not-torture based death", considering this guy needs to be DOUBLEdead by our promises.
>>25106696We do pretty much ruin his life...
>>25106696He killed Robin, Ryan and Jessi. He's stolen the bodies of dozens of his descendants. He's lived long enough.
>>25106717we ruined a lot of people's lives.
Rolled 7, 4 = 11>>25106689>>25106682>>25106680You draw an arrow and coat it with black. Mari holds out a bolt and you coat it as well. Mage takes aim with his staff.Maxine steps back and gets behind a tree. Elf magic or not she's not having ANYTHING to do with this.Tricia slips one hand into her sleeve and draws her sickle with the other.Lea gets ready to jump out with her new bracers.Roll 1d20 +2
Rolled 10 + 2>>25106732
Rolled 3 + 2>>25106732
>>25106710Oh no, he'll still die. But he'll die having settled his petty differences with Comedy. Mostly, I'd like to get him to tell us how to get out of the grove. I get the feeling showing up with Mab and Mage in tow would really shit all over Comedy's plans in the best possible way.
>>25106732>>25106739Everyone misses pathetically!
>>25106732>lea looted the bracers while we weren't lookingHow did you even FIND those lea
>>25106748Look at the bright side. This way, we can banter.
Rolled 12 + 2>>25106732best of three?
>just get chewed out by my boss>have to do better or I will die>wondering what to do with my life>I notice a hail of arrows miss me entirely>the person who ruined my entire life cannot even hit me with a bow>On that day, I truly understood tragedy
>>25106772either that or comedy's magic is kicking inits pretty hilarious to miss a completely clean shot right?one that you should in no rights be missing unless you majorly fuck up, right?I hope so
>>25106806>>25106772At this point he should have a chance to roll a nat 1 on a perception check, and completely ignore the missed arrows.
>>25106764Mage and Mari's bolts fly harmlessly, but your arrow grazes Tragedy in the side."Augh!" He screams as he turns to you. He got a little dose of the poison, but it doesn't look like he's even slightly affected..yet. Of course, the damn mask must be working, probably more so than the others because, even if it's a replica, it's still the Mask of Tragedy."You...how?" He looks as you, the Dawnchasers, and Julian all fan out around him. "Fine." He growls. "Fine. I don't care how you survived. Not anymore." He draws his blade, and arcane fire sprouts from it. "Even if you kill me, you're still going to rot here." He narrows his eyes. "But maybe I'll be lucky enough to see ONE of you die first!"
>>25106851"You and what army?"
>>25106851"Ah, but then comedy would never get her payback. After we're done here, she is very next on the list. Something to think on."
>>25106851Let's try the arrow covered in black again. This time with feeling.
>>25106851I sincerely doubt it. Your name defines you. Also flaming sword? Really? It is bad enough you gave the Lightbringers such worthless shit to wield and now you're using something equally stupid.Comedy is right, you are useless.
>>25106888Nice spoilers, and trips.also fuck.
>>25106888I am okay with this. Also, if we capture comedy alive to interrogate him before killing:We should get his opinion on the monster/construct issue.
And since Tragedy's final fight is going to take a WHILE, and I have a 6am work morning tomorrow...we have to end it tonight. However, TOMORROW, May 29th, 3-5pm PST. We will take this back up RIGHT where we left off.
>>25106904Night Echo, was fading rather fast myself, cant wait for the Tragedy fight.
>>25106897This is going to be like our brief obsession with Bags. And Pineapples.
>>25106904See you tomorrow echo!We really did systemically take apart tragedy's life. With efficiency and gusto.
hahaha oh wowQuestionif we had made the DC would we have skipped this whole battle and segwayed right to comedy?further questiondoes Tragedy count as an arc boss or a midboss before the main boss?
>>25106851"Think about it, Holting. Do my friends and I look like we have a plan? Do we EVER have a plan? When I tell you that what happened between you and me was nothing personal, you can rest assured I mean it.""Now Peace? Comedy? Citadel itself? They're the schemers. Citadel whispers promises it has no intention of keeping, Holting. I've heard it just like you no doubt did... all the lies and empty promises.""What did it promise you, Holting? And did it ever deliver? No. Instead, you get me. So tell me, who REALLY ruined your life?"
>>25106926tragedy will be our first dramatae killwhich means we get BARBS. somehow.
>>25106904>>25106929Wow, that's what happens when I write something up carefully.
>>25106926he has to be a boss, we probably won't catch comedy this arc...>>25106929That would be us. We're pretty much the Lightwarriors of 8bit theater. Only with morales and intelligence.
>>25106954>>25106929Our plans are generally only by the VAGUEST of terms actual "plans"Also, it wasn't personal between us and tragedy riiiight up until he killed robin and crew. Then, yeah. personal.
>>25106986Actually it was kinda personal for him, as we did ruin all the plans Comedy mentioned.
>>25107018well, yeah, but we ALSO ruined comedy's plans. Like how we killed her donnie. It just happened that we dealt with tragedy first.
>>25106986Yeah, but we don't TELL him that in this scenario.
I'm of the opinion this guy is beyond saving. He murdered countless people to extend his life. Murdered even more at Citadel's behalf. Enslaved countless 'monsters' and murdered our friends. As far as questioning him why would he answer our questions?
>>25107041We need his head anyways, dragons are valuable to have as an ally
>>25107041>why would he answer our questions?Because he would know: Is a sphere of corpses a construct or a monster? But yeah, we're totally going to kill him. No argument about that. We may offer to kill comedy even harder for him if he lets us out, but if not, whatever.
>>25107038eh, everything we've ever done to him was not-personal.Right up until... now. We finally have a chance for some of that avenging fury I hear is so fun.
>>25107087Personal or not, we still ruined his life.
>>25107104yeah, totes did.If his life was just less EVIL, less of it would have been ruined.
So, quick question. If, after all this citadel slaying business is over, a new generation of paladin came along and told we needed to pay for all of our crimes...What would we do?
>>25107058> we end up pinning him down with a blade to his throat> lets get to business> "IS A SPHERE OF CORPSES A CONSTRUCT OR A MONSTER? ANSWER CAREFULLY"> "what do you mean of course its a co-"> We inch the blade closer> "Monster, definitely Monster."
>>25107160This is obviously how it's going to go.Tricia will claim we cheated.
>>25107157You can't ask a question like this an expect a real answer.the sandbox is too wide open with this one, how far generations are we talking about?what have we done that is considered a crime besides general murderhoboing and espionage during war?
>>25107189well, more the entire fall-of-citadel thing. I imagine quite a few people will be angry about that, for pretty legitimate reasons. We've been taking it as a granted that, yeah, lots of folks are going to die.
>>25107177It's not cheating, it's utilizing resources!
>>25107249The best part is that Ssen and Tricia could theoretically be arguing about this for centuries.People will live and die listening to these arguments.
>>25107212>"Yes, many died. But in the process countless trapped souls were freed, countless future innocents were saved from slaughter, and now the descendants of the survivors are free to determine their own lives free of the perverse machinations of Citadel and the Dramatae.">"When you have that kind of weight placed on your shoulders, and you have to make the call, THEN we'll talk. But until that day comes, leave me to my hives and my memories."
>>25107301>tending to her hivesOh no, the future refused to change
>>25107276All the more reason to continue arguing about it.
>>25107325well, I imagine we'll change the topic of argument over the years. Though, I can tell we'll be grabbing third parties and having them settle the dispute for us often."Hey you! Street mugger! Which is better, chocolate or vanilla? Don't you DARE say swirl!"
>>25107365Books and painting of all sorts will chronicle our bickering and the sainting of the unfortunate souls who are dragged into it.
So I carved a little Caligo Clarus emblem into the bottom of my new longboard, and it stopped trying to kill me. I'm satisfied at this result.
