>The previous thread is here: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/25023529/You began your life less then an hour ago, as a wormlike thing with little more structure then just a mouth and a tail. Since then your life has been rather eventful, as you killed four people and devoured three three of them. With each being eaten your power grew, and your body changed. From the first you gained a spine, a protective housing for your valuable nerves. From the second you took it's hearing. A whole new world of sensory information was opened to you. When you killed the third your feast was interrupted by it's allies, and you gained no new abilities. You fled, learning a valuable lesson about controlling your instincts. The fourth being was sent to hunt you. You avoided it's attacks, barely, and managed to kill the panicked creature. From it you took it's higher order mind: it's ability to ignore it's instincts. Amusing that you should take that, since ignoring it's urge to run lead to it's own death.Your next target was an eight limbed creature, soft of body. It saw you when you attacked and fought you off, at the cost of one of it's limbs. You devoured the limb greedily and were spaced, cast out into the great void. Perhaps spending your time eating in a depressurising airlock was a bad choice.
>>25037827You are currently hiding in a metal crate, it was old and rusted enough to bite a hole in, and you are half buried in the rice it holds. The metal crate, and the 100 or so just like it, have been drawn up into another ship. To your left you can hear fleshy delicious beings talking, and then you hear the twang of metal as they open one of the crates. Another twang sounds out from a far corner of the room. It's only a matter of time before they open your crate. Two options are immediately obvious: you could hide under the grain and hope they don't search too thoroughly, or you could escape out the hole and try not to be spotted. Maybe there is a third option?>List of current abilities:Body:- Teeth- Spine- Snakelike formSensory:- Monochromatic vision- HearingSocial:- Ability to resist beast urges???:???:???:>Some actions will call for a roll. >>25037843Hide.We need to eat them one by one sneakily hopefully without alerting anyone at least by the time we eat three.
>>25037843Hide under the grain.
You decide to hide, burying yourself underneath the rice as best you can. You wait 5, then ten minutes. All around you can hear the sounds of crates being opened, then closed. One branch of the noise gets nearer. You can see nothing in the darkness. Then there is a metallic shriek as the upper side of your box is torn off. Light washes in, flitered through the rice grain. Something skitters just beside the box, and a shadow covers you.The delicious being mutters something to itself. More rice. Were they hauling anything worthwhile? The rice is disturbed as something long and thin pushes through to the bottom of the crate. It probably isn't delicious. Then it withdraws, and pushes in again, closer to where you are hiding.>Roll 1d100>action?
>>25037827FINALLYWhat took you so long?
Rolled 74>>25038037Hold still and hope. I'd suggest shifting to the area that just got poked on the theory that they won't poke there again, but there's no possible way that we can shift around without getting noticed. Just try to make sure whatever that pole is doesn't hit us, and slides around us rather than stopping if it does.
Rolled 24>>25038037Well, we're here, so we should stayveryfuckingstill.>>25038057He's... 3 days earlier than he said he might be. Also there's this sleep thing, probably a factor

>>25038167Shhh, it's okay. We're here now. It'll be okay.Hopefully.
>74 - pretty good. You stay as still as possible. You want to dive out and eat the creature, you really, really do, but you restrain yourself. The rod of non-delicious stabs into the grain twice more, and a third time, This time the creature drags it through the grain, and you use the disturbance to slip to the other side of the crate. The creature stabs twice more, where you were, but finds nothing.Blow this. Nothing but rice! the creature shouts. The shadow moves away, and the scuttling noise follows it. You hear the crate next to yours being opened.
Rolled 72>>25038037Stay very, very still.
>>25038191Wait for the scuttling noise to move well away, then risk a peek.
>>25038191>>25038209This. Be vewy vewy quiet.
>>25038242thisMaybe we could try out the rice
>>25038191Let's have a careful look
Rolled 42>>25038264Nah. We're on a strict diet of sentient beings.I agree that we should carefully peek.
Rolled 69>>25038191Stay still and hidden.
>>25038290>not tasting everything>mfw
Rolled 91>>25038191Yup, nobody here but us rice grains.
You bite some of the grain. You spit it out. The rice is thoroughly undelicious. Why would anyone want to eat something like that? You wait for a moment, you hear four distinct thunks and then a shout. The scuttling moves further away, and again you hear the sound of metal wrenching apart. You snake your way upwards, and lift your eyes carefully above the rim of the crate. You see you are in a large metal cavern, with massive doors towards the rear, and a large glowing device hanging from the roof near the fore. There are several creature sized doors at either end of the cavern.Walking amongst the crates, all similar to the one you are hiding in, are three armor plated creatures. They have large claws and many scuttling legs. You decide to call them Lobsters. Each one is opening crates and jabbing at the contents with a pole.
>>25038433They're clearly looking for something. Start at the other end, and search the crates through the holes, looking for anything interesting they might want. Then take it.
>>25038433Let's wait for the creatures to leave the bay, then get a move on. They look like prime material for improvements, but we'll have to catch them unawares.
>>25038433So we can't see if they are operated by a sentient being or not. Hmm.We either should slip away through the creature-sized doors or do this >>25038501Though, I'm afraid that they will just jettison everything if they don't find anything useful.
>>25038433They are searching the crates but not behind them. We don't seem to be that big so I suggest we sneak out of the crate and hide behind the row of crates instead, feels a lot safer.
>>25038433Look more closely at the big glowing device. Is it something more than just a light? Then stay hidden until they leave.
>>25038608>You are about 2 metres in length. The Lobsters are approximately human in height, but also longer. You slip out of the crate, and drop quietly to the floor. None of the creatures seem to notice. You move towards the large glowing device. It looks similar to the lobster's claws, but has three prongs, not two. To your eyes it looks bright. One end glows more then the other, but you cannot make out much more detail. While you are observing, two of the creatures change their patterns. They cease opening crates and shout somthing at the third. The third one yells back, and continues to poke at the crate. Then the two walk to the nearest small door and leave the cavern. The remaining creature goes to the next crate, one of three unopened, and prizes the top from it.
>>25038770Ah, good, one has separated from the pack. Eat it.
Rolled 44>>25038770Go for its mouth. We won't let it even have a chance to scream.
>>25038787>Ah, good, one has separated from the pack. Eat it.Nigga, they are in power-suits or they are full-on robots. We can't eat them.We need to leave this cargo area and get into living quarters or something.
>>25038796And drag the silent living remains between some crates so we can fully saviour all the little emotions while feasting on it's flesh.
>>25038770Take it by surprise That plating looks hard, so try coming up from below.
>>25038770Can we see it's face? What kind of face plate does it have?
>>25038905Yes we need description of lobster.BTW op thanks for starting this so soon love this thread
Eat it, EAT IT! your instincts cry. And you listen. You slither as fast as you can across the cavern, weaving between crates as you take the most direct line towards the creature. In your haste you collide with one crate, dragging your teeth across it and causing it to shift, letting out a loud squeal. The creature begins to turn, and you dart behind a crate. It calls out. What now, guys? It waits a moment, then turns and returns to work. You caution yourself. So far you have only killed through stealth and trickery. You are still weak, and this thing is strong. It has powerful claws, that can rend the metal of the crates, it's back, torso and head are covered in chitinious plating. It stands on six carapaced legs, ending in points, and has many smaller frills on the underside of it's tail.Everything about it is delicious. It doesn't even have the dead tissue that the others you have eaten had been covered in.
>>25038931>Yes we need description of lobster.OP gave a description, but I'd like a description of it's face.
>>25038951Those frills under it's tail are probably it's weakest point. We can get in there.
>>25038951Let's see if we can try and find it when the thing is unarmored.Look for a vent we can run in.
>>25038951Dart between its legs, strike directly -up- from below.
>>25038952>It's face is armored as well, but in small segments. It appears to have a segmented mouth, that chitters when it speaks.
>>25039001>>25038951Also, roll for combat, if you choose to attack.
>>25039008May I roll to hide/find a vent to go into?
Rolled 11>>25038991We do this. Frills denote a weaknessm and even if it's armoured underneath, it's unlikely that it'll detect us right away.We might be able to attack ourselves to its bottom like a lamprey... and resisting our urges, we lie in wait as it walks around and communicates with the other prey.
Rolled 64>>25039008Combat roll
>>25038951Sneak up behind it, and eat it starting from the soft spots.
Rolled 87>>25039008Attack its weak point for massive damage.
Rolled 66>>25039008>>25038991Munchie times!
>>25039025>You do not need to roll to find a vent, but it appears you are being outvoted.>Consensus is to attack from below, biting and eating your way inside it's shell?>I need reasonably descriptive battle actions. just "eat it" is not sufficient.
Rolled 42>>25039103Try to attack any frilled points.
>>25039103Are we small enough to burrow into one of its frills and eat our way up?
>>25039103I meant to aim straight up into the abdomen/thorax, going for where the legs connect (roughly) as that is likely to be softer and thus easier to bite through.
>>25039103How big are we, anyway?
>>25039166This, but in particular dive straight for the lungs and take them out, so it can't scream.
>>25039176Two meters.Read the thread.
Rolled 57We've been going for neck so far. If it has chitiny armor, then it must have soft spots between joints. i vote we try and go at it from below, try and find an unarmored spot between its chest and face plates.WE WANT TO EAT ITS TASTY MEATS!
>>25039199I did, I just missed that detail. Thank you. But I meant, how *thick* are we?
>>25039225As thick as you want~
>>25039225Around two square feet mate. Bongbong.
>>25039148>It's basically a space lobster. It's frills are many many little leg-like things.>You are a 2 metre snake/worm thing, without any real skin. Your mass is mostly towards your mouth, with the rest of your tail being rather thin. Your mouth, your widest point, is a handspan across.
>>25039253>Your mouth, your widest point, is a handspan across.Ah, excellent. Burrow in through a soft spot under the frills, then, and burrow straight for its lungs per an earlier suggestion to keep it from making noise.
>>25039253OP is trying to save us from an early end, I vote for trying to follow this guy around and see where he goes.
Rolled 11>>25039288I don't think we can take this crustacean.
>>25039253Munch munch. Look for a weak spot near one of its shoulders or its neck, and failing that go for the frills.
We seem to want to not eat it, it is very confusing. We should follow it until it is alone.
>>25039288i vote for this.
Rolled 23>>25039312YOU'RE EITHER A CRUSTACAN, OR A CRUSTACAN'T
>>25039253Run into the vent and see what else this ship has.We don't need to eat everything right now. Let's find some weak points before eating.
>>25039288OP is just answering questions, actually. I'm pretty sure he's not trying to hint at -anything-.My vote remains unchanged >>25039166.

>>25039414Pretty sure you already had some good consensus, but in any case: attack and CONSUME.
>>25039414Attack it. It's alone and unwary, and we have a weakness to aim for.
>>25039414If we can take it, then eat 'em

>>25039414>>25039087>Attack its weak point for massive damage.Chow down on some tasty lungs.
You hold for but a moment, and when the creature leans forwards to poke into the crate again you slide forwards and bite at the frills underneath it's tail. They tear off easily, and behind them you find a softer undershell. You bite and gouge at the creature, scoring holes in it. It squeals and chitters as it begins leaking clear fluid. It whacks at you with the pole in it's claws, knocking you away from it's underside. Pain hurts, you find. You coil around the pole, and snake upwards towards it's face. It snaps at you with one of it's claws, but you leap and sink your teeth into the joints of it's shoulder. More fluid spurts out, and it's arm goes limp. You bite at the other shoulder and disable it's other arm. It scrabbles backwards and runs into the crate it was examining, and then collapses. Large amounts of fluid are leaking from the thing, spilling out over the floor.
>>25039524Eat the thing, then go searching in the remaining crates for whatever it was looking for.
>>25039524>Large amounts of fluid are leaking from the thing, spilling out over the floor.Schluuuurp.
Good, its down, we should use one of the shoulder bites we inflicted on it to burrow into its chest and consume its soft insides.
>>25039524Continue on with the attack, try making sure it can't scream for help.
>>25039524FEED! Burrow inside and take it's power.
>>25039524Eat it slowly, starting from the tail, savoring every bite.
>>25039524Eat it. If we can consume all the evidence, great. If not, at least we'll have some abilities out of it.
Rolled 75>>25039524Kill. Feed. Consume
You bite into the lobster, and it dies. It doesn't make a noise, it just stares at you, with unblinking eyes. You munch away at the creature from tail to head, gorging on it's soft innard and slowly crunching away on it's hard exoskeleton. You find that it doesn't have lungs, and instead breathes through gills.>Pick one:>Mandibles - A split jaw will give you more bite power>Legs - It's armored legs looked conveniant for getting around>Frills - While shorter and slower, it would be quieter to travel with many, smaller, limbs>Amored chitin - A tough exoskeleton will make you harder to >Language - How do these creatures communicate anyway? The mess of ichor and fluid seeps out, filling the gap between the crates where you lay.
>>25039617>Legs - It's armored legs looked conveniant for getting around
>>25039617Who needs limbs or a jaw?Armor, or language.
>>25039617Language! We're a mindless eating machine right now, let's try for more.
>>25039617Mandibles. More chompy can never be a bad thing when one is a bioweapon. Its like the rule of dakka.
>>25039617Hmmm. Let's see if we can't puzzle out those sounds it was making (Language).
>>25039617Frills, let's become a millipede of death and horror
Language.Should we be using tripcodes?
>>25039721only if you like using one in the first place
>>25039617I say Mandibles. More chompiness.
You process the creature's mind, and gain an understanding of how to speak it's language.A metallic voice speaks from high on the wall: "Hold on to your stomachs, mateys, we're going to jump once the capacitors are charged. And Jim, hurry up with the crates, I need to be able to declare our loot when we get back to port."
>>25039774Do we have the ability to imitate voices we've heard convincingly (like Jim's), or only the ability to speak? In any case, get to the searching and find what they were after.
Rolled 32>>25039774To the Vents!
>>25039774RIP in peace Jim
>>25039617I will put in a vote for either LANGUAGE or ARMOR.
>>25039796>You cannot currently speak.
>>25039796Haha I'm so ninja'd, I was just typing along the lines of "Get Jim's headset and reply that it's all been cleared out, heading back to main deck" or something like that.
>>25039798He was too delicious for this world
>>25039796Betcha we are gonna need to take a course in advanced digesting: Pt 2 with some human throat instead of lobster
>>25039774Guys, we have to make the common horror trope come to life. Wait until some lone fool comes searching for Jim and devour him as well.OP, how much of a mess have we made?
>>25039774So, we can understand, and we could speak if we had the right mouth-parts, we just don't have them yet? Fair enough.Crate search.
>>25039774Time to scram, this area is probably not safe in a few minutes. My vote goes to the vents as well.
>>25039843>There is a large expanding body of fluid. There is no body.
>>25039869Can we slurp up the fluid before we start searching?
>>25039847Speaking is less important than a carapace or a stronger jaw. Understanding is good because we can plan better, but speaking doesn't give us as much.Remember the last thread? I don't like cargo bays after that, they tend to be jettisoned. Let's head deeper into the ship.
Rolled 96>>25039869Any way we can mop that up?
>>25039891FUCK. Forgot I had my dice on.
>>25039891No need to, use it as bait.
>>25039889They want the cargo, so they won't be jettisoning it quite yet.>>25039899Don't be sorry with a roll like that.
>>25039918Okay, I agree. Head deeper.
You slither off to look for vents. You find a small hatch that you bite off. Inside you see a number of what you now know are called cables. They snake off into the heart of the ship. You worry about the expanding pool of fluid being discovered, and go back to try to clean it up. You try to mop up the liquid with your mouth, but you can only manage a feeble suction effect, and your teeth are really bad at picking up anything which isn't solid. Then you feel a sick twisting right behind your mouth, and the whole world turns inside out. Then you are spun around, flung here and there and everywhere and your skin crawls and your teath sink into your tail. Then suddenly you are yourself again, sitting in the pool of ichor on the floor, in one piece.
>>25039869Go to the vent and hide

>>25039959Did.. Did we just prolapse ourselves?
>>25039959Go into the vent and hide.
>>25039959Either we're metamorphosing, or Jim isn't agreeing with our digestive system.
>>25039959Maybe we can only consume 'warm' blood? Or they're some sort of LSD lobsters. Either way, I vote we follow the cables/vents farther into the ship.
>>25040013Probably the 'jump.' >>25039959Let's get into the vents and lurk a bit. Learn the layout of the ship.
>>25039959None of that mess anymore, lets just go to the vents. We are not vampires
The voice on the wall speaks again: "Jump was on target, we expect to arrive in 30 minutes. Jim, I need that report, where are you? You know if you worked faster you could sit down for the jump, just like the rest of us."You scurry off towards the vent, and squeeze past the cables and into the tunnels of the ship.>Roll 1d6 for getting lost on the ship!

>>25040106It's alright, getting lost doesn't mean going somewhere bad it just means forgetting how to go back. Not like we wanna go back to LSD lobster rice crate room anyway.
Rolled 6We must find more to feed. We must locate where the flesh things sleep. Where they sleep, we will wait.
>2You are lost, and hungry. You've been wandering around the ship for 10 minutes, winding here and there, but none of the passages you follow seem to go anywhere. Then you hear noise, people talking and something beeping, coming from a tunnel you had not noticed. You slither down it and arrive at a grate. Through the grate you can see two Lobster tails, and a pair of talons."We still haven't heard from Jim, go find him" the tail across the room says. The tail close to you moves and exits the room, leaving the door open. Past where the tail was, you can see something transparent, and beyond it, a small sliver of the inky void of space.

Someone was willing to pay a lot of money for whatever it was, but if we don't find it then we'll just have to sell what we got to cover expenses. At least we'll eat like kings for a while."You look at the grate in front of you. You could try biting it open, but the creatures might hear you. You decide to leave the fleshbags to their conversation, and venture deeper into the ship, looking for a way to kill many of them at once. You follow the twisting paths of the wires. They meet and collect, and are joined by various pipes and tubes. You follow these, and arrive in the roof of a small room, with machines humming loudly, and beeping occasionally. The air tastes fresher here.Inside the room are two creatures. They are unlike the others you have seen so far, tall and covered in bright plumage, they have beaks and bare legs, that end in talons. They appear to be fighting, one has the upper hand, and is stabbing repeatedly at the other with it's stinger. The one being stabbed is warbling in pain, and screaming.

You resolve to eat the two things, in this tiny little room. It strikes your tail and you begin bleeding, but you manage to clamp down on it's throat long enough to kill it.The other one backs up into a corner, shrieking wildly: "Help! *Squark* Help!"

You spring forwards at the thing's face teethfirst. It cowers and brings a wing up to shield itself, so you sink your teeth into it anyway. Feathers fill the room as it shakes you about, squeaking in pain. You bite furiously until your mouth is full of blood, not feathers, and it's wing is lying detached on the floor then you go for it's face. You bite out it's eyes and crush it's beak as it bats ineffectively at you with it's one remaining wing. The second bird goes down with a warble. The room is covered in blood and feathers. You are thankful that they chose to fight in such a noisy room. But even so, the second one did an awful lot of shreaking...You put these concerns aside as you begin devouring their remains.Pick two:>Wings - Limbs are cool>Legs - For fast travelling>Digits(requires limbs) - These creatures seems to have manipulative feet>Claws(requires limbs) - Sharp claws will help you grip and rend soft objects>Feathers - They'll keep you warm, and can muffle your movements>Beak - For biting>Stinger - Only one of them had one, but it seemed to cause a lot of pain.

You feel your skin split, and spines protrude. The outer casings of the spines sheds, and you are covered in a brilliant grey coat. Well, you hope it's not brilliant. You can't really tell. It's all one shade. You feel soft. You also gain a stinger. It's blunter then you expected, but it seems functional. You want to sting things. A lot. It feels a lot like the Hunger you dealt with before. You push it aside, ignore it, as you do with your wild hunger. You are in a room covered in blood and feathers.
