LAST TIME ON GUNDAM AGE QUEST: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/24901025/Your name is Jake Crocker and yesterday you not only discovered that Mellis is definitely going to die unless you get that data, but you also had to watch three federation ships get vaporized by the Diva’s Photon Blaster Cannon. They were attempting to bring you all in and if even one of them had gotten away it would land you in prison for helping a mutineer. Grodek fired the Photon Blaster Cannon before you could even try reasoning with the. It took a long talk from Flit to calm you down and even then you still feel like crap. Its four days till your invasion of Ambat and currently you are lying in bed, wide awake at 3:00 AM, you couldn’t get any sleep and kept having a horrible dream involving Mellis withering away, a raven pecking your eyes out and the Armstrong splitting it half. You really need to do something to chill the hell out. What will you do Jake?
> Wonder what your friend Jane English is up to.
>>24921992see if the builder can create a humanoid robot add MID profit
>>24921992Since we can't sleep wander over to our workshop and get some designing in. See if we can't reinforce the shield that the Crusader uses, make it less breakable better at deflecting attacks, it won't last long in a fight at the rate it gets melted.
>>24921992drink a whole pot of coffee, and start dicking around with the AGE builder
>>24921992go eat the pancakes you were promised then go visit Diesel.
>>24921992See if we can't mod our AGE Builder to connect with MaG and MID...by the way, how do MaG and MID get on with each other? I recall MID saying about MaG being 'scary' pre-AG...
>>24921992Try to integrate an EMI-Field generator into the shield. If Jake could restrict the field to the shield itself, it would be much tougher to penetrate. Might not succeed, but it's something to do. Add an under-slung missile launcher to the EM Crossbow and EM Ballista. Re-tool the EM Ballista into a bullpup EM Rifle for easier handling. Add mounting points on side skirt armor to hold extra magazines for EM weapons. There's still a few things Jake can add to the Crusader to kill some time and keep himself alive.
We need to talk with MID some more. See if he can help us in the Gundam.
>>24922277>>24922243>Drink a whole pot of coffee and go eat the pancakes You don't wish to touch the AGE Builder right now, or any other engineering task, you just want to relax and get your mind off things. You go to the kitchen and make a pot of coffee, sipping it was you dig into the chocolate pancakes that were already being pumped out by the cooks. After filling up with caffeine and chocolate you leave the ship and enter the colony. You walk through the lush, Earth like scenery of the colony, taking in the fresh air, the sound of the birds and the crunch of dirt and rocks beneath your feet. You get to the Mansion, but find that everyone is asleep, makes sense considering the time. What will you do now Jake?
>>24922515Let the people in the Mansion sleep, find somewhere we can see the stars.
>>24922515Find somewhere outside to crash for a while. Look at the stars and try to get Jake's head on straight. It's been a fucked up day for him. Some time alone to just sit and deal with things might help. Visit the mansion again later in the morning when everyone's up. Spending some time with Yurin and Desil couldn't hurt.
>>24922515Run around the mansion a few times to pass the time, we need exercise and the distraction.
>>24922515Set up an elaborate display of 'Good Morning Everyone' in the yard.
>>24922544>>24922575You leave the mansion and wander into the woods. It's still dark out, the 'sky' is still dark out, the colony keeps it dark until at least 6:00 AM so you can still see the stars. You find a nice field to lie down in and think. You look up at the star and try to imagine how awesome it would be to travel across the universe and go to different planets. The idea of a world where exploration, knowledge and love are valued makes you smile, even tear up a little. Ideals are called ideals for a reason, if you don't fight for what you believe in then what's the point in fighting?Fuck up things happened and they were really beyond you control. All you can do is try to make sure nothing like this happens again.>>24922704You get bored and decide to make a little something for everyone waking up in the mansion. A display of Good Morning Everyone seems nice, but what should you make it out of?
>>24922982Rocks if we can find a pile lying around, or use a shovel to dig the message into the ground.
>>24922982various things which, while eye-catching, will not cause much damage to the property and can be easily tidied up afterwards...So things like Rocks, Branches, Lights, Potted Plants... Cars... MS Weapons... MSs... Gundams... King Arthur... MID... Flit...many, many things...
>>24923032I'd rather not mess up Alzack's landscaping. No need to piss him off by digging trenches in his lawn. Let's see if we can find anything colorful to spread on the ground, instead.
>>24923140Yes. Let's make a message out of Flit. His bright hair will be a sure signal.
>>24922982Make pancakes for everyone.
>>24923308Ooh! We can make the sign out of pancakes. One giant pancake. We use a MS-scale heat blade as a griddle, and pour batter out to make the words.
>>24923337One giant pancake everyone can dig in. We write "We're fucked" as a message in it.
>>24923156I immediately though about the kreig and love writefaggotery after reading that for some reason but yeah let's not dig trenches
>>24923337where the hell would we find that much batter?
>>24923445Raiding Birmings' kitchen? I don't know, I wasn't really being serious.
>>24923140You decide not to dig ditches into the mansion's property. Instead you look around in the back shed of the mansion where all the tools and yard equipment is kept. You find a massive amount of Christmas lights which made sense for the size of the mansion. Bored and in need of a none-MS related project you take the lights and spend the next hour carefully stringing them together and lighting them up into "GOOD MORNING EVERYONE" on the front lawn in large letters. >>24923308Then you decide, screw it and make pancakes for everyone. Your sure no one will mind you using the kitchen. After some more work, you have the dining table set up.Desil and Yurin wake up, come down stairs and find you sitting at the ready dinner table. "Wow!" Desil exclaims."Did you make all this?" Yurin asks."Check outside." You say with a smile as she walks out onto the front porch and comes back inside."Wow! That's wonderful Jake...why are you doing this?"
>>24923308normal sized pancakes would be good. Also bacon. Bacon shall also help.
>>24923518"I had a really bad night and was kinda bored so instead of wandering about I decided to use my time for 'useful' things."
>>24923518"I had a bit of a shitty night, so I thought I should start the morning off by doing something nice, get all positive-thinking. It's working. Er, sorry I broke into your house to do it, though."
>>24923518"A reminder of what I am fighting for. Too many Villain back-stories involve them being good, but then something bad happens and it changes them. I wanted to do this to remind myself that I am me, not just a Soldier..."
>>24923518"I had a really shitty night, so I needed something not-MS related to clear my head.""And pancakes seemed like the awesomest way to start a day and get some positive energy going around.""...sorry about breaking in, though."
>>24923695>>24923714> "A reminder of what I am fighting for. Too many Villain back-stories involve them being good, but then something bad happens and it changes them. I wanted to do this to remind myself that I am me, not just a Soldier...sorry about breaking in, though.""Well it's not really breaking in if your a friend, besides my...father is out on the Diva again. Apparently the attack yesterday has stepped up the invasion schedule. You guys are leaving later tonight. So how about let's have breakfast and you can help me get ready for that party?"How does that sound Jake?
>>24923838"God, I just want to punch Grodek in his stupid face.""Count me in, some busywork would do me good. Let's make a list about what we need and Desil and I can go shopping in the Gundam."
>>24923838Suitably Non-Com. We shall spend the day not thinking about Fighting or Gundams. We could always 'sample' the cooking wine, then bawl over Mellis' five-day life-expectancy...
>>24923838"Yeah. That sounds like it'll be fun. Do you want me to call Flit over to help? He deserves some positivity pancakes, anyway. He really helped me out with a talk last night. You've got a good guy there, Yurin."
>>24923838"That sounds great! I'd love to help out."
>>24923944No way, we already drowned our sorrows regarding that days ago. Now we need to spend this time with her in case everything goes to shit and we fail.Dammit guys, we're going to have to let her know how we feel.
>>24924337She knows. We've told her. The ball is in her court.
>>24924337We'll help with the party, talk to mom and dad, and go spend the evening with her.
>>24923946>"Yeah. That sounds like it'll be fun. Do you want me to call Flit over to help? He deserves some positivity pancakes, anyway. He really helped me out with a talk last night. You've got a good guy there, Yurin.""Sure, call him over. I'll make a list of the stuff we'll need so you and Desil can go shoping!" Yurin says with a smile. You wake Flit up and invite him along with Emily and Dique over for pancakes. You took up some bacon and heat up the syrup while they make their way to the mansion and you sit down with them and begin to have a marry breakfast. Yurin comes back with a list but sits down to eat as well. It's a rather beautiful picture, you, Desil, Yurin, Flit, Emily and Dique all sitting at the same table. Friends and comrades.Anything you'd like to say Jake?
>>24924729"We should do this again..."
>>24924729"You guys should know that I'm trying my darnest not to ruin this moment with one of my speeches.""But, yeah, we should do this again sometime."
Hey Croswire, do you have a twitter?
>>24924729"If there's one thing I learned in life, it's that pancakes make everything better."
>>24924898(Sorry I'm afraid I don't. I don't own a cellphone at the moment. Could I set up a twitter account from my computer? I honestly haven't bothered to get into it, but if it'll help you guys out I'll set one up)>>24924869>>24924895>"You guys should know that I'm trying my darnest not to ruin this moment with one of my speeches, but, yeah, we should do this again sometime.""Of course Jake, why wouldn't we?" Yurin asks with a smile."We're all friends here" Emily adds."All thanks to you!" Desil exclaims."No matter what happens after today we'll be friends" Flit says raising a glass of milk."To Future Congratulations!" Flit cheers."CONGRATULATIONS!" Everyone cheers, chugging their milk.( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xWjTyOdFVI )Anything else you'd like to say or would you like to head off to the store with Desil to get the party favors?
>>24924970"But these? These are nothing compared to those dad makes. Those things make your taste buds explode."
>>24925002>Could I set up a twitter account from my computer?Yes you can.
>>24925002Don't need a phone for it. What it does allow is for more players to join from the thread's start. Just 'tweet' that you will put a thread up in X hours, then more anons will be ready to participate at the designated time. Means better consensus in the start... also allows for rescheduling and Hiatus-ing the quest...no more words. Just Happy times with Friends.
>>24925002"Wow, I wasn't expecting THAT much enthusiasm. Thanks, guys. That means a lot. Now how about we go do some shopping? Anyone want to come with me and Desil?"
>>24925002"The victory party hasn't even started, and already we feel like winners."
>>24925063>>24925094(Oh! Thanks for the heads up. I've set up an account. https://twitter.com/Crosswire I think this link works) >>24925113>"Wow, I wasn't expecting THAT much enthusiasm. Thanks, guys. That means a lot. Now how about we go do some shopping? Anyone want to come with me and Desil?""Nah I wanna stay here and help Yurin out with everything. You and Desil should hang out a little more." Flit suggests with a smile as he begins to help clean up.You take Desil and head outside. Yurin put together a pretty basic list. Plastic Cups, Napkins, Paper Plates, but she left a pretty hefty bundle of money with the list, 1000 credits and wrote "Get what you think the party needs"So Jake, what do you think the party should have? The Mansion has plenty of tables, chairs and a HUGE kitchen. It has a lot of food, but it's not really party food, mostly wine and fancy stuff. You have 1050 credits, 1000 from Yurin and 50 left over from your stolen pocket money.
>>24925295Yeah that works, just post a reminder there when you post a new thread.
>>24925295Get your Gundam and start shopping what we need. I guess we're making a huge barbecue party? We should probably notify the crews about this as well.
>>24925295What kind of stores are there in Minsry Colony, again?
I haven't seen Gundam Age, can I still participate?
>>24925295Booze, beer, alcohol, and liquor. Standard things like plates, utensils, cups, blah blah blah. Piles of meat like pork, beef brisket, chicken, and various spices and seasonings for them, to be smoked if we have a smoker available. Hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, and other barbeque stuff. Coleslaw and all the various fixings. Some vegetable platters, cheese, crackers and the like for snacking on. Cornbread, chili, and other similar comfort food.Massive piles of ice cream, cookies, and cake.>>24925369Sure, go for it. We've already broken canon over our knee.
>>24925369Sure thing. Between Crosswire expanding the setting and our actions changing the timeline, knowing the series isn't that important. Crosswire gave a brief summary in the last thread. Check it out, then join in the fun.
>>24925295Go to a sporting goods store and ask for the biggest grills they have. The head to a super market and buy the things required for a barbeque. Have Ma G carry all the stuff.
>>24925396>Sure, go for it. We've already broken canon over our knee. How so, did you killed the main protagonist?
>>24925295We're not only catering to young friends, we're also catering to 2 crews of hardened war vets and engineers. This party needs music, it needs booze, it needs a poker table, a pool table, sweets, shit we need everything.I don't know how we're going to get the less-fancy alcohol without an older fellow accompanying us since we're underage.
>>24925419Even better. We switched his canon love interest for another.
>>24925434More like we prevented his first choice from dying. Which was a huge part of his character development.
>>24925427Actually, we've got pirates, the Armstrong crew, the Diva crew, and the Fardain alliance. So, yeah, we're gonna need booze, meat, sweets.. We could probably call ahead and tell them to prepare something for the party, I kinda doubt that 1050 bucks is enough for all that.
>>24925295Chips, dips, soda, those frozen finger food things you pop in the oven for a few minutes, disposable plates and cups, and the biggest music player we can carry.
>>24925419Not quite. We did save his first love interest so he won't switch to the childhood friend or go full PTSD. We turned one of the main villains into our little bro. Have taken the tech advancements forward a number of notches by the time we're at.>>24925427We have a Gundam, we'll be shopping in that, I doubt they'll object when our ride is a giant fucking robot. But we do need a pool table and poker table.I'd say get strippers but some folks, like Yumin, might object and we don't have all that much cash. Still worth considering. Make sure a sound system is set up so Ma G can play some sweet tunes.
Nope. Instead we saved people from dying. The kid who we're treating like our little brother in the past few posts, Desil, is actually an enemy pilot who winds up killing Flit's girlfriend and inciting in him a genocidal hate for all the Vagans that has repercussions for his son and grandson in their arcs. But in this, we captured Desil early and then decided to reform him, because it's not like you can expect a seven year-old who's only been taught how to kill to make moral decisions. So Yurin isn't going to die, and we've averted the major defining tragedy of the Asuno family. Generations 2 and 3 should be fun to see.
>>24925485Maybe call up Jack to do the booze purchasing? We should talk to our dad to let him know we're feeling better after last night's angst, anyway.
>>24925485We need to make the party entertaining for a bunch of rowdy pirates, military personnel, teenagers, and a 7 year old kid. This is going to be a little difficult.
>>24925520> mfw Jack is a notorious party animal and the pirates know him from before
>>24925536You know what everyone loves no matter their age? Karaoke and dancing. And cake.
>>24925369(Of course, you'll probably want to visit Gundam Wiki and look up some basic info, you'll also want to gloss through the /tg/ archieves so you have an idea of what's going on)>>24925351There's an electronic store, a cafe, a clothing store, lot of gift shops and other crappy places, a police station and a huge ass general store where everyone gets their stuff. >>24925417Actually, you saw a couple of grills on the back deck of the mansion. >>24925427If there's one thing the mansion has, it's booze. Lots and lots of booze. Yurin assured you when you got shitfaced that her father didn't care if you drank it all, he only kept it around for posterity's sake or if he ever needed to throw a party. There's a shitload of beer in the cellar along with the wine, enough to feed an army. >>24925479The Mansion has a wreck room with a pool table and some round tables that could serve as poker tables if you get the stuff. >I kinda doubt that 1050 bucks is enough for all that."Ma G, do you think you get do that ATM trick again?" You say, flipping out your phone as you walk with Desil into town."Affirmative. How much money do you require?""Give me an extra 2000, might as well go all out"You take the money, making sure to remind Desil that this isn't right, but in this situation it's acceptable. >>24925396>>24925427First thing you get is Poker Stuff, the chips, the cards, that isn't all that expensive.Music wise, you think you could set up Ma G to act as a DJ of sorts using the Gundam's speakers, so music is set. There is also a pool, a pool table, and plenty of games of poker and booze to work with so entertainment is fairly well. Then you get onto the standard stuff, shitloads of paper plates, napkins, utensils, cups. Then onto the BBQ food, Piles of meat like pork, beef brisket, chicken, and various spices and seasonings for them along with hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, and plenty of condiments. (cont)
>>24925642... we need to have the Crusader Gundam do the Robot at some point during the party. And have people climb on top of it and dance, imagine tangoing on top of a Gundam's hands.
>>24925642You also make sure to get lots of sweets and stuff, chips, mountains of soda, ice cream, candy, beer jerky, snack cakes and Cake, lots and lots of Cake,>>24925634You could run across to the electronic store to pick up a good quality karoke machine, that's a good idea.Any other ideas on what you should get Jake? The Gundam can carry a lot.
>>24925687A light system so we can put on a light show centered on the Crusader. Stuff for a bonfire outside, everyone loves fire, and blankets so people can share romantic moments outside, under the stars by the fire.
>>24925687did we make sure to get some Vegetarian options? Never know if one of the many people attending might have an aversion to meat...We need Party Poppers. Maybe a Gundam Sized Party Popper...
>>24925751Sure. I know I go straight for the hummus at any party.>>24925642Something I realized.... We should make an X-rounders only poker table, and a non-X-rounders only poker table.Otherwise, shit's going to be unfair as fuck.
>>24925751Yeah, some salads and something without any meat. I guess some snack food would do as well.We could also get some lighting system and some party supplies like the party poppers.
>>24925751>Vegetarian optionsRight. You make sure to grab some leafy greens, celery, hummus, carrots, spinach dip and that kind of stuff. Can't leave anyone out, besides it'll probably be good to mix it up and have something besides meat. >Party PoppersYou buy fully blown fireworks, not just sparklers but fully blown fireworks, fire crackers, cherry bombs, bottle rockets and actual shining fireworks. You have to bribe the guy to get him to sell you them, but outside of that you get them at a fair price. >>24925740>Stuff for a bonfire outside, everyone loves fire, and blankets so people can share romantic moments outside, under the stars by the fire. You grab stuff for smores too. No sense in having fire without these. >Light SystemYou call Dad and ask him to bring over four unarmed mobile suits to the mansion with plenty of flood lights and such, you can set up the system quite easily. You have an idea for what you could do later...>>24925821>X Rounder Poker TableWell there's only three, four confirmed X-Rounders around and most of them are pretty trust worthy. They probably wouldn't abuse their powers...well maybe Desil, but he's seven and he likes to play games, so can you blame him? You ask him not to rob people blind if he decides to play cards with anyone. "OK..." he says, acting somewhat disappointed, making you laugh a little.Anything else Jake?
>>24925893Let's ask Desil if he wants anything while we're out shopping. He's been good.
>>24925893Strippers and drugs are probably out, Yumin would be disappointed in us if we came back with a gaggle of strippers and a crate of pot and LSD.See if Desil has any suggestions, any games he wants to pick up for the party.
We could probably call Dr Spriggan as well, considering all he's done for Mellis.
Check our mail.Has our old stuff arrived yet?
>>24925956Space Twister.Everybody loves Space Twister...
>>24926043...Gundam Space Twister?
>>24926043Low-G twister? That sounds...complicated.
>>24926071It also sounds hot.>instead of a mat, it's actually a sphere you enter.
>>24925988"Hey Doctor Spriggan, it's me Jake. How are you? I'm just calling to ask if you and Mellis would like to come over for a party? Is she healthy enough to go?""Yes, normally I would say it's unwise to do so but considering what could happen to you, I'm going to say yes. She's feeling a little under the weather, her immune system is starting to falter, but she shouldn't get really bad until two days from now" "Thanks Doc, for everything. So come over and have fun, just...stay off the LSD OK?""I thought they were breathstrips!">>24926002You run by the post office and find that it has come! Good old mom, well not old. You show them to Desil and he seems interested in them, you pack them in the cockpit to put in his room.>>24926043>>24925956>See if Desil has any suggestions, any games he wants to pick up for the party.Desil, not really knowing a whole lot of games, picks out some good ones Like Space Twister *Although it's more like regular twister under gravity*, Yatzee, pictionary, a weird game called Apples to Apples along with the classic Federation Monopoly. Desil seems pretty satisfied with everything. Anything else you can think of Jake?
>>24926071>>24926093As I said. Everyone's Favourite Spacenoid Game...
>>24926130.... Slight issue with Mellis... She is still under the 'X-Rounders = Pain' thing isn't she? Cause she is either going to be Sooooo high on Painkillers or borderline Psycotic...
>>24926130Wait, can Mellis stand the presence of X-Rounders? Don't those implants of hers cause her tremendous pain whenever she's near them?
>>24926161>>24926165Fuck. You're right. We should make it so Jake stays for the first half of the party, but then we leave and spend the rest of the night with Mellis elsewhere. Either that, or the X-rounders go somewhere else. I vote for the first one since we need to spend some quality time with her.
>>24926189Agreed. We could spend some time with the guys, and then catch a ride to Mellis considering how the Crusader has been turned into the party DJ and decoration.
>>24926161>>24926165>>24926189Your sure Dr. Spriggans understands, you'll leave half way into the party to spend a night with Mellis and have your own private party, you'll make sure to inform the X-Rounders of her condition and make sure Dr. Spriggans has some super heavy painkillers in case she has to be near them.
>>24926229Anything else Jake?
>>24926241Call Yurin to ask if there's anything specific we should consider when we hold this thing in the mansion. Like, boundaries n' shit. There are literal thieves attending after all.
>>24926241Maybe call the party goers, ask them if there's something they'd like to see or have there, but that's fitting with having kids around. If not, drop the stuff off Yurin and help her prepare the party.
>>24926267>>24926268You call up Hogan and Blackmarsh and tell them about the party. They swear they'll keep their men in line, and if they steal anything they'll be in a heap of trouble. You call a few other people on the ship and ask around what they'd like. They mostly mention stuff you already have. You head back to the mansion and drop off the shitload of stuff, completely broke.Setting everything up doesn't take too long. After setting out the tables, the poker stuff, the games and the cable clothes and chairs in the back, you get the Gundam, the G-Exes, J-Exes, the AGE-1 and AGE-1.2 in the back of the mansion and set up the lighting system without an issue. It's only 9:00 AM, you've made great time. Now all that's left is to cook and set out all the food. What would be a good time for the party Jake? Anything else you want to do?
>>24926402I'm guessing the sooner the better, considering how we're leaving later tonight. Let them rest and recover after the party. Can't win the battle when everyone is hungover or drunk.
>>24926469This is a good point. We want everyone to get a good night's sleep and not feel like shit in the morning.Somehow.
>>24926402I'd like to turn the Crusader into the Trombe, but we don't have time for that. Maybe after it gets trashed at Ambat. Have the party about mid-afternoon. Just chill out for a while. This is Jake's last chance to rest before shit goes down. Enjoy it while he can.
>>24926402How about we get Mellis a cloth beanie for her to use until her hair grows back?
Talk to Disil, how is it so far? His arms? is he going to go school? Have some fun with him be for the party.>>24926500Mid-afternoon sounds good to me.
>>24926496>>249264692-3 PM sounds like a good time. Early enough so everyone can recover from getting shitfaced and late enough so that everyone can leave duty. >>24926514>Talk to Disil, how is it so far? His arms? is he going to go school? Have some fun with him be for the party."My arms are doing alright. The casts should be off in another week or two. There aren't a lot of people with kids here, but there's a small school set up in town I've been going too. It's boring, but everyone there seems pretty nice" Desil says, raising his castes to show you the many signatures from his classmates.Your response Jake? What do you want to do with Desil?
>>24926658Ruffle his hair."That's great, lil' bro. I'm glad you like it here. Just remember, if someone messes with you, you call me, alright?"We need to get him his cape.
>>24926658We should ask him if he knows any code names in relation to the X-rounder implant project, as it will help focus our Data Virus for the vital information needed to save Mellis.
>>24926725>"That's great, lil' bro. I'm glad you like it here. Just remember, if someone messes with you, you call me, alright?""Alright!" He nods, smiling. You make a mental note to make him a cape the moment he gets back.>>24926739"Do you remember any code names in relation to the X-Rounder Implant project?""Sorry, I wasn't told any of that stuff. Besides, a lot of the time I didn't even listen to what they did tell me. They probably have it listed under Artificial X-Rounder or something" Desil explains with an apologetic frown. Well Jake? What now? You have an hour or two before the party starts.
>>24926850Sign his casts, and then drop him off.We need to get ready for the party as well.
>>24926866Have we not signed his casts yet? We're a terrible big brother figure! Get on that immediately.
>>24927027>>24927097>>24927101>>24926866You sign his castes and leave him to his own devices in the mansion. Almost everything else is set up, the food just needs to be prepared and set out along with the drinks. Even then you still have at least 3 hours to burn. What do you want to do Jake?
>>24927181We grill! We are man! Man cook meat fire!
>>24927181Since we're going to be fighting the goddamn battle of the century soon, let's check to make sure everything is in order and draw up the plan for how we're going to allocate our cowls and how we're going to use them. We're using the Chimera and King Arthur, but we need to be sure everything is set up for that.
>>24927181I guess we could burn two hours by checking out how our forces are prepared, is everybody equipped with DODS rifles and anti-beam cowls and so on.Or we could just chill out and help with the cooking.
>>24927181Get Flit and Yurin to help and start cooking. They guests will naturally arrive due to the smell.
>>24927220I'm kinda thinking we could make the Chimera the basis for our AGE-2 Crusader - we make the Legilis before the Vagans do.Combine it with the Unicorn Gundam as well so we have the Destroyer mode as well as Beam Magnum DODS hand cannons / fists.
>>24927223>>24927199Yurin and Emily are already in the kitchen cooking up all the food, Flit and Dique helping out where they can despite not knowing how to prepare food to save their lives. Yurin seems pretty good in the kitchen, despite being a little clumsy when it comes to the dishes. You help cook some of the stuff before heading off too the ship. >>24927222You check over the Pirate, Zalam and Euba suits and make sure everything is set. All of them have their weapons rearing and ready to go. >>24927220You give your cowls a look over. You have an Anti-Beam/Memory Cloth Cowl, a Full Solid Cowl, a Full Titus Cowl and the Chimera Cowl along with the King Arthur. Do you have any specific order you want to use them in? Any plans you want to keep in mind for the outpost attacks and the battle of ambat itself?
>>24927286Yeah, the second generation Gundam should definitely use a lot of Vagan tech. I'm hoping we'll capture some good stuff intact from Ambat. Proper EM Armor, cloaking systems, maybe even reverse-engineer the Defurse's construction so we can make Super Robot-sized mobile suits. Throw in the Black Raven's wing tech and we could have something really damn powerful.
>>24927387Flit plans to use the Goliath at the start to clear the first few waves. I vote we do the same with the King Arthur and detach to the Chimera.
>>24927387Start with the King Arthur to deal as much damage as possible, and then switch to the Full Titus for the clean up. The Chimera shouldn't be used until the bulk of the enemy forces are dealt with. This way once the enemy aces appear we'll be ready.
>>24927426The Gigantic, not the Goliath. The Goliath is the one with a forcefield that keeps it from using any weapons so it just punches things. The question is, do we wait until the proper battle, or do we deploy it against the outposts we're taking out, too? Actually, what outpost are we hitting first? That could change things considerably.
>>24927387Question Time! How far away from Ambat are the outposts? If we use the Photon Cannons on the outposts, will the blasts be easily visible from Ambat? What is the recharge time on the Photon Cannons? Will we have enough time to blast the outposts with the cannons without them alerting Ambat?
>>24927455One of the outposts is an early warning detection array, which implies that it at least is far enough away to not be immediately visible.
>>24927475So we have Arnold snipe the broadcast tower before nuking it with a photon blaster.
so, there are 3 outposts we have to deal with prior to Ambat. One of those outposts is the one we want to use the Data Virus on.Ambat is liable to have the largest garrison, thusly we should save the King Arthur for it. The station we are going to Data Mine would be best if we had one of the Full Cowls for...
>>24927417If that data miner works as intended, we could probably shut down Ambat without causing too much damage to the stuff inside. And after that, we analyze the shit out of everything we can find. starting with the search for data needed to save Mellis. After that, Defurse-size heavy suits made for taking out battleships, early transformation tech, you name it.>>24927475We take that out first. It's probably far away from the main base, so it can function properly.Arnold takes out the broadcast tower, we hit it with a photon blaster, and we clear the remaining forces using the Arthur while Carlos and Flit cover us.Dad and Woolf should probably lead a squad each - dad uses his dirty tricks to manipulate the battlefield, Woolf flanks them and destroys their shit.
>>24927475Early warning array, eh. If its an active emitting array, we could spread the ships out to triangulate its position based on the emissions and snipe it from extreme range with the Photon Cannon. Gives more time to recharge before moving on to the next outpost that way.
>>24927538Are the pirates equipped with the target marker? They could use it to pinpoint where the photon cannon should fire. And besides, they're pirates, I kinda doubt that the Vagans are going to attack not-Federation forces for shit and giggles.
>>24927455The outposts are 3 hours away from Ambat, if you wipe them out you shouldn't have an issue, however using the Photon Blaster Cannon will probably alert all surrounding Vagan due to the sheer power and intensity of the shot, using it on the outposts would ruin any chance of a surprise attack on Ambat. It takes 10-15 minutes to charge the Photon Blaster Cannon and can be fired around 4 times before the ships reactor begins to falter, a 5 shot will probably take out navigation systems and the 6th shot will disable the ship. The plan is to split up into three groups and destroy each outpost, then to join back up and Assault Ambat. First objective is to get the ships into Photon Blaster Range and destroy the ships they have their. Second objective is to wears down the enemies defenses to allow the Diva and Armstrong to dock, then to invade the fortress, set explosives on the reactor and destroy the fortress completely along with all remaining Vagan. That is Grodek's plan anyway. Your thoughts.
>>24927526For Ambat itself: if we can knock out the outposts before they alert Ambat, I'd recommend a blitz attack with the Arthur and Giant as the spearheads. Rush in, destroy as many hangers as possible, and call in capital strikes on the hangers Jake and Flit can't get to quickly. The Vagan are likely to rely more on their isolation as a defense than active patrols. It takes quite a while to scramble and launch 800 MS. With suprise, the first assault could destroy or block off up to half of Ambat's garrison. The more Vagan MS we tie up with internal repair, the less the Allies have to fight at once. Target the Fa Bose with Photon Cannons on site. Don't let them get involved in the main fight.>>24927580Target hangars on Ambat second, just behind the Fa Bose class.
>>24927580Fuck no. We're taking Ambat for ourselves, so we can save Mellis as well as have Vagan tech.Besides, if we save the noncombatants and let them flee back home, they might start doubting their leaders. The Armstrong could take out the detection array, considering how we have snipers and superior long range weaponry. We just need to move fast enough to snipe the damn thing before it alerts everyone.
>>24927660From the intel we have, one of the outposts is a lab. That is the one we want whole...
>>24927670Then that's where Jake is being deployed and we're cleaning those archives for the data we need. The "Artificial X-Rounder" file is what we'd be looking for.
>>24927670True... I guess it also has some weapon blueprints and whatnot.Still, we should at least hack into Ambat as well, so we know exactly what the Vagans have for troops, their other bases and so on.So, we take out the lab, the pirates take out the surveillance base, and Diva / Fardain troops are taking the third one, before we regroup and attack Ambat.
>>24927660We have no way to HOLD Ambat. Don't forget, this will be one hell of a fight. We'll be lucky to have 30% of our forces combat-capable after the assault. We go in, drain the computers, get out, and blow the place so the Vagan can't re-stage there.>>24927670Fast assault and capture, then. Charge in, destroy comms, invade lab before the Vagan can wipe their mainframes. Get everything we can from the labs. Haul out any equipment the MS can carry for examination.
>>24927580Yeah, no way we're destroying the thing outright. That's crazy, Grodek. I can accept that your hatred for the Vagans is all-encompassing. But that's just unnecessary. If we take out the ships with the Photon Blasters, we can divert more of our forces to taking and holding Ambat. The Diva and Armstrong should NOT dock, but stay back and hold the Photon Blaster Cannons as a last resort to threaten the Vagans. That way we can capture prisoners to interrogate and technology to reverse engineer. Not to mention the details we need on Mellis's surgery. If Grodek argues, give him a speech along these lines:"Would you leave your vengeance half-finished, Ainoa? We destroy Ambat and we delay them for a few years. We seize it and we can provide the evidence needed to force this conflict into the open, make the Federation confront this threat. Kill all the Vagans and you leave no proof. You've already declared that you're going to take the fall for this mutiny. So don't let this be something the Federation can sweep under the rug by locking you up."
>>24927533Have dad be supported by Pirates since they're the same kind of dirty fighter. Woolf's gungho attitude goes well with the old ideologies of the Zalam/Euba alliance. Also, PLEASE try to keep the leader of the Zalam Euba alliance alive. He actually becomes a shadow supporter for Captain Ash's stuff along with Madorna, if manga is to be believed.
>>24927721I'm not so sure. Compared to canon, we've got an extra Photon Blaster Cannon, an extra Gundam, heavy-weapons packs for both of them, and another five ships and 200 mobile suits. We can take out their ships and heavy units quickly with our heavy artillery. We might have a chance to take it outright.
>>24927721Actually, I had an idea about that...Would it be possible to MOVE AMBAT? Like...hide it in the Graveyard or something.
>>24927778The Vagan have 2 more Fa Bose than canon and 8 MA that the Allies know nothing about. We don't know what kind of forces the Vagan have in the area, either. It might be possible to hold Ambat, yes. Or we could end up facing an entire fleet a week later while the Allies are still repairing from the assault. A calculated risk.>>24927814Moving Ambat? MAYBE possible. It depends whether the Vagan repaired Ambat's engines or not.
>>24927814This. We move Ambat to the Graveyard.Hogan and his pirates get a new base, some new cool tech, and we get a hiding place where we can pursue SCIENCE and plan the eventual revolution.Later, we create AIs and hide them in Ambat, Their task would be to hack both Mars and Earth info so we can manipulate events, warn people of incoming attacks, spread the truth about the conflict and so on. We create the Shadow Broker.
>>24927814I suppose we could haul it, but I'm not seeing any engines. We also stick jets on it and move it that way.
>>24927448sorry I think I missed something whats the Gigantic and when did Flit build it?
>>24927897Basically a big clunky exoskeleton for the AGE-1 Gundam that Flit built a few days ago.
>>24927885Just another difference between UC and AGE, then. in UC, all fortresses, orbiting asteroids, and colonies had large nuclear engines to move them into orbit around Earth. After all, those asteroids aren't naturally in orbit. They were moved into place.>>24927897The Gigantic Wear is a thread-exclusive Wear developed by Flit based on Jake's Dendrobium expy Mobile Armor attachment 'King Arthur'. It was never developed in canon AGE because noone in the Federation thought of making Mobile Armors. It's design is similar to the Psycho Gundam from Gundam Zeta, if I remember correctly.
>>24927721Taking and holding Ambat would be nearly impossible, your job is to destroy it and prevent it from being used as a launch point for any further operations. It would be great if you could, but if you try to hold it the U.E. will just keep coming and coming until it's their's from what Desil told you.>>24927761Actually...you haven't met the guy in charge of the Zalam/Euba Alliance have you? You heard about the Von Boyage guy dying but you haven't even seen the new guy around. Huh, maybe you should talk to him at the party if he comes.>>24927814Ambat, from what you remember of your history lessons, was a massive asteroid towed from the massive asteroid field in the solar system and stripped of it's resources to use for construction of the colonies. After that it was hollowed out further and used as a base by the Federation till it was abandon after the Silver Chalice Treaty. It took a tremendous amount of force to move it, you'd need a lot of resources, a lot of money and a LOT of time to move it, something the Vagan wouldn't give you. >>24927897>>24927995Flit calls it the Gigantic Wear, but you like to called it the 'Tuxedo' a massive exoskeleton the AGE-1 slides into. Slow and clunky, but armored and loaded up with dozens DODS Rifles built into it's body and has Beam cannons built into it's fingers. Flit also upgraded Woolf's G-Exes with armor and thrusters to make it more durable.>>24927670One is an Early Warning System, One is believed to be a mining facility and the other is unknown but possibly could be a lab of some kind. It's also possible the data your looking for is at Ambat. Regardless the plan is to split up into three groups and attack each other at the same time. You'll request to attack the Lab so you can make sure the Data-Miner gets the goods.Any other thoughts Jake?
>>24928115I wonder if Mr. Touchdown would be of any use in the coming fight.
>>24928175He'll be as useful as Kou Uraki. Or even worse, Keith.
>>24928175They said it would take time to heal him up and thaw him out without giving him brain damage, but we can certainly check up on him.
>>24928115Can we at least wait till we're done gathering all the info and stripping it off its tech before we blow it up? I think we could pull that off much faster than towing the damn thing around. Also, we're saving the noncombatants till they evacuate. Then we blow the fucker up.
>>24928115That reminds me we still need to build those bits for Carlos.
>>24928115counter point for the Ambat issue: we have TWO age builders and a shitload of scrap post-battle, plus a recycler. We can probably craft up enough single-use boosters to set Ambat into motion in stages of acceleration given how many ingots we can scrape up from all the eventual wreckage of ambat. Once Ambat hits a decent pace towards the Graveyard, we recycle the acceleration thrusters to make deceleration thrusters. Now, canon timeline gives a 6-8 year gap post-ambat before Flit makes a name for himself fending off a Vegan assault at a backwater satellite base. And then another 10-16 years to hit Gen 2.Additional note: If everything goes right, we'll have Vagan thruster tech AND possibly the Black Raven if we can convince her.Meta note: I thrive on throwing out improbable ideas and making it work. Ask Faceless about Bright Quest and "Bunker"
>>24928175Still froze, as far as we know.>>24928115Like I said before, wreck as many of Ambat's hangars as possible. We can't stop all of the MS from launching, but we can catch a good portion of them still docked and powered down if the Allies can move quickly enough. Even just blocking hangar exits could slow down the Vagan enough to make the fight easier. The fewer MS we take on at once, the better.
>>24928275We'd need fuel for those thrusters, but yeah, it could actually work. It'd take time, though, and tricking the evacuees that Ambat has gone to hell so they don't come back.
>>24928275True. He suggested using the Untested Zudahs as point defense by having the Zudah hanger doors half open so that a couple of Zudahs could pop out the top while still allowing the MPCs to fire. only downside is a drop in the MPCs recharge time when opening the doors...
>>24928275It takes time to move something as big as Ambat. Lots of time, especially when it has no engines of it's own. The Vagan could easily catch us in transit and fry us. Moving something the size of Ambat will be very noticeable. We don't know what kind of reaction force the Vagan have, either. For all we know, there could be half a dozen Fa Bose class with Musai support only two days away. Just too damn risky. As far as the bunkers go, Jake's not a Newtype/X-Rounder and has 0 NTP.
>>24928275(If you can get ahold of Ambat intact and deal with the massive losses you probably are going to sustain, then I'll be willing to listen to a lot.) >>24928175You check with the medics and they say that the de-thaw process will take a while. 2 more weeks just to make sure his mind isn't damaged by the thaw.>>24928268If you work your ass off you an whip them up before the party starts. (Roll 1d100 vs Engineering. 60 or below passes. 1 is a critical success and 100 is a critical failure. Only accepting the first 5 rolls)
>>24928306What if we made giant solar sails?
Rolled 67>>24928348At least we have the mounts already done.
Rolled 36>>24928348Dr Pepper-ing it...
>>24928349That just popped to me. We salvage the solar sails from the facilities we destroy. We salvage the solar plates, throw them on some thrusters, and create a dummy AI that'd decelerate and accelerate Ambat into the Graveyard. We know that creating a simple AI would take about a week, enough for Flit to create some primitive thrusters and tech using the AGE builders.
Rolled 67>>24928348let's go!
>>24928115Well, if we've got no choice but to blow the place, then I guess we'll just have to work with what we can grab. I still think we shouldn't dock with the Diva and Armstrong, though. I'd rather they hold off a bit of distance so that they can Photon Blast anything that gives us too much trouble. Are we sending the MS units into Ambat itself? From what I recall from the series, Ambat has pretty large hallways, including ones that lead directly to the reactor. Certainly Flit and Woolf get inside that way. We should see if we can bring the data miner in with us by carrying it with the Crusader. Provided, of course, that we don't just get tied up in a duel with Rysis while the rest of the battle happens.
>>24928435We have to deploy basic infantry at one moment or another to properly storm the place. That's why the Diva and Armstrong must dock.Ambat has large enough corridors for mobile suits, but I doubt that they lead to the server room or the crew quarters or whatever.
>>24928365>>24928367>>24928374>>24928392>>24928402>3, 36, 54>67, 67You manage to make two bits that seem functional. You won't be able to tell if they respond to Carlos until he tries them, but they should work. They have the power of DODS Rifles and plenty of fuel. Their big, but quick enough to avoid enemy fire. It is now party time! The party is already starting. What do you want to do now Jake?
Rolled 12>>24928349Once again, time and mass issues. There's no telling how far away or how strong Vagan reinforcements are. And it's not just an issue of making thrusters, though that's a Herculean task in itself. We'd need to reinforce Ambat's entire structure so that any thrusters wouldn't simply tear the place apart from the forces applied. It would take enormous amounts of energy to move Ambat anywhere. The Vagan might have ways of tracking the station even if it was moved. Untouched comms or beacon equipment could lead the Vagan right to the Allies. It only takes one thing going un-noticed to bring the Vagan crashing down around Jake's ears. The Feddies would come after us too. The Allies are still considered mutineers and High Command is in bed with the Vagan. I just can't see a way of keeping Ambat that doesn't get Jake killed.>>24928348Rolling.
>>24928498It's party time! Grab Mellis and commence the festivities, Goof off, get drunk, sing, dance on top of Gundam's hand.
>>24928481But why does it have to be the Diva and Armstrong? We've got a pirate fleet. I'm sure they've got ships designed for boarding actions.
>>24928498Get dressed and ready. Take a quick shower, put on your sharpest suit and cape, and roll out.Get to know the men you're going to fight alongside a little bit, talk with your friends, and then go and meet Mellis.
>>24928498We go and check things out. et some awesome food because we skipped lunch.>>24928527Mellis comes later. She needs to be away from X-rounders, and we're going to go out to spend time with her at the last half of the party.
>>24928531Good point. I just assumed our men are better trained for it.And I guess Grodek wants to be there to shoot the commander in his stupid face.
>>24928544You take a quick shower, put on your best clothes *clean ones* and throw on your spare cape. You leave the ship, ready to party your ass off, but remind yourself not to get too drunk.>>24928577You arrive at the party and can hear the music blaring. You go around to the back of the mansion to find everyone having a blast. Everyone's ether drinking, dancing, eating, laughing or in the process of doing all four and then throwing up in the case of one individual you spot. Ma G makes a pretty good DJ as you hear her jamming tunes pump over the Gundam's surprisingly high quality speakers. You snag a burger, some chips, a soda and someone's smore and find Flit, Woolf and one of the Diva's Operators, Millais Alloy sitting at a table. You take a seat with them and start soaking in the party. You can chat, look for the others, set off some fireworks or do what your 'secret' plan for the mobile suits. What do you want to do Jake?
>>24928852Chat up Millais. The surprise should wait until later.
>>24928852Yes! DJ Ma G.Let's mingle. The whole point to this is getting some camaraderie with the people we'll be fighting beside. See what our Diva table is thinking, then go make the rounds of the party.
>>24928852Chat around for now. Wait until 'nighttime' for the fireworks.
>>24928905A weird thought: Minsry is big enough that we probably won't hit the other side of the colony with our fireworks, but they might be able to get into the null gravity region at the center axis. That'll be funny to watch.
>>24928894"My calculations show that you organics like this 'phat beat' my audio processors are reproducing.""Affirmative. Put your upper appendages in the air and move them around like you don't care."For now, Jake should chat with the Diva crew.
>>24928946Weirder thought: Does CDACE know we're going to be launching fireworks? I hope he's smart enough to tell them from actual munitions.
>>24928980Oh, fuck, we forgot about CD. Cue kidnapper drones crashing the party.
>>24928980...shit. This could get interesting.
>>24928980Quickly! Send MID to Invite CD to the Party!
>>24929099Send MID and Haro to invite him over. The picture of an enormous mobile armor and two small robots playing hit me right in the diabetes.
>>24929126Okay, yes. We do this. But only if CDACE himself comes over. No drones. I want a giant zeppelin-lobster robot to show up and start dancing to Ma G's phat beats.
>>24929146CDACE doing the robot or the electric slide...CD doing breakdancing! "Oh GOD WE'RE GONNA GET CRUSHED!"
>>24929189"My databanks say this move is called 'doing the worm'. Please evacuate the nearby area."
>>24928996>>24928980Don't worry, CDACE has been informed of what's going on. "Unusual" heat sources near the Mansion are to be ignored and additional personal have been added to the Personnel Roster. However you phone up MID and Haroto have CD fly over and hang out with everyone, maybe he could use the floodlights as giant dance lights with the right directions from the two. Besides, apparently the little robots get along with CD Rather well.>>24928886You chat up with Woolf and Flit, deciding to mingle. You speak to Milliais. "I'm Jake, I think this is the first time we've properly talked with one another""Yeah, both of us have been pretty busy and have pretty different jobs. So your only 15?" "Yep, I know I don't look it but..." You stroke your measly facial hair, causing Milliais to laugh out loud."So, I heard you and Woolf are hooking up together?" Flit blurts out, causing Milliais to nearly spit beer into her lap."Woolf! What part of 'discrete relationship' did you not understand?" Milliais says through grit teeth."Hey I only told Flit!" Woolf holds up his hands in mock surrender. "I gotta have someone be our best man with the marriage when this is all over" "Wait...you two are getting married?" You ask, looking between the two, Milliais putting her head onto the table."Yes. It was supposed to be private. I didn't want to jinx the battle by saying 'oh let's get married right before a major battle, I'm sure you'll be fiiiiine'" She says in a rather amusing voice before chugging her beer. "Congratulations! Flit and I will make sure he comes back in one piece, this isn't some dollar bin Anime after all. You two should be happy!" You exclaim as CD flys over head, flashing discoball-ish light patterns onto the dance floor of the backyard."I am happy" Millias says, chugging another beer."Ah, don't worry about her she's just stressed out." Woolf says with a grin. What do you think Jake?
>>24929265"Well, I'm two days from retirement myself... and there's this Girl who'll be waiting for me after this fight..."
>>24929265"Eh, as long as you don't go eating any pineapples you should be fine."
>>24929265"Yeah, we all kinda are. But don't worry, we have the greatest pilot in the entire Federation with us.""Oh, yeah, Woolf is also here, so that one great and one competent pilot."
>>24929265"Congratulations once again. And remember: its not your job to die out there in the attack. It's to make the Vagan die so you can come back to Milliais."Jake needs to end the party with a hot-blooded speech. Show everyone just who the Hell he is!
>>24929392Soon, after he comes back from Mellis. He needs to give one hot blooded speech to her as well.
>>24929265Well now we have to make sure they survive.
>>24929304>>24929321"Yeah, yeah I know I'm basically dead in the water" Woolf says with a laugh. "I picked the worst time in the universe to find the one person I can actually love besides myself.""Oh shut up" Millais says, grabbing another beer."I love you too honey">>24929380>"Yeah, we all kinda are. But don't worry, we have the greatest pilot in the entire Federation with us. Oh, yeah, Woolf is also here, so that one great and one competent pilot.""Keep joking, I'm betting your old man half my savings to see who can shoot down the most Vagans. Then we'll see who's the best." Woolf grins excitedly.>>24929392>"Congratulations once again. And remember: its not your job to die out there in the attack. It's to make the Vagan die so you can come back to Milliais.""Well the same goes for you bub. Don't forget you have that girl of your own to come back too." Woolf says, playfully punching you in the shoulder. So now what Jake? What to find what everyone else is up too? Or you wanna do something else?
>>24929538Get into an eating contest with someone.
>>24929538Find out what everyone else is up too. Then go find Melis.
>>24929538"Thanks, Woolf. Better make sure you have that money ready. I think the Vagans are going to kill themselves if it'll save them from looking at his orange suit."Go find the Armstrong crew first, then the others. After all that, go see Mellis.
>>24929538Shoot the shit with the Armstrong crew. Seems like we haven't talked to Ralphie in forever.
>>24929638You leave to find the guys from the Armstrong. Dad is sitting down and having a platonic drink with Captain Frizzle and Ralphie, Carlos, Time and Arnold are all playing pocket with Desil, all their pocket money on the table, poor bastards.Dorthy Ann and the other members of the bridge crew are having a drink at a table, Dorthy digging into some prime rib.Dique is setting up an eating contest. You still have 2 hours till Mellis arrives, on top of that you have the fireworks to set off in an hour and your 'surprise' involving the mobile suits. What would you like to do Jake?
>>24929786Talk to the head honcho of the Zalam/Euba alliance. Jake hasn't met him yet.
>>24929786Eat something. All this great food can't go to waste. Don't stuff yourself though, since we don't want to puke while we're hanging with Mellis. We can challenge someone to a game a billiards.
>>24929786For now talk with the crew, and see if you can't find the mechanic. Those fireworks aren't going off until Melis is here.
>>24929786We could chat up with the Armstrong crew. Maybe apologize to dad for losing our shit last night. Also, remind Desil not to rob those guys blind.
>>24929898This is a good idea. We can time it so that we can meet up with Mellis and be able to count down from when they'll be launched, then direct her attention to them. That would be romantic as fuck, and she'll never see it coming.
>>24929875You really can't miss the guy given he's in a white suit, yellow hair, and red hair highlights.
>>24930027True, but I think he's the only leader Jake hasn't talked to yet.
>>24929764>>24929878You decide to chat it up with Ralphie, you haven't talk to him in a loooong time. You sit down just as everyone folds to Desil, again. You give Desil a "Really?" look and he gives a sheepish shrug. "Hey Ralphie, how about a game of pool?" "Sure, at least I don't have to worry about losing my money now" Ralphie says, throwing his money down on the table. You get the sticks and set the game up, letting Ralphie go first. "So Ralphie, what do you plan to do after this?""Me? I don't know. I wanna stay in the military until I have enough to open my own restaurant chain""Really? I thought you were into sports""Well I was, but after 18 years of eating nothing but my mother's cooking I know the effects horrible food can have on someone. So I want to open up a chain of high quality, good price restaurants across the solar system, preferably Italian, so people won't have to pick between grease spoon dinners and Cosmic Burger, ugh" He sakes his head as he fucks up his shot. >>24929918You chat up with Ralphie a bit more before going to find Dad. "Hey Dad? Sorry about blowing up yesterday I was just pissed off by the whole ordeal." "It's fine. I was probably too cool about the whole thing. It's horrible and I would have done anything to prevent it, but what's done is done...so lets win this for them" >>24929898You find Liz, the mute mechanic and Dorthy Ann outside, both doing karaoke of all things. Liz is shot shitfaced she's ether forgotten she can't talk or no longer gives a shit. You sit and watch them sing Stan Bush's "Dare" for 3 minutes before getting into an eatting contest with Dique. You bail out to avoid throwing up later, but the kid takes your plate and pounds down the food. (cont)
>>24930148>>24929875You look around for the leader of the Zalam/Euba Alliance and find him propped up against a wall, sipping wine out of glass as he soaks in the scenery. "Are you Ract Elfamel? You ask."Yes I am, who would you be?""I'm Jake Crocker, the other Gundam pilot.""Ah yes, I've heard a lot about you from rumors around the ship. Your a very brave young man from what I understand. I have to thank you for throwing this party, it's giving my men a chance to mingle with the Zalam troops. We've been at war with each other for years, so even with our new found friendship it couldn't hurt to work out our past problems with a stiff drink.""No problem, it was mostly Yurin's idea" You point to Yurin, who is now sitting next to Flit, laughing at a drunk Mallias. "Well tell the girl thank you when you get the chance. I look forward to helping you on the battlefield"What would you like to do now Jake? The fireworks would be a good idea to save till you meet Mellis, but the surprise is something you can only really do here with the mobile suits.
>>24930153"Thanks. If you need any help out there, know I got yours and your men's back." Then offer him a hand.Anyway, let's go see the pirates for a bit.
>>24930153Well then it's time for the surprise.
>>24930153What is the MS surprise going to be again?
>>24930153MS surprise? What is that again?
>>24930223You stop by Hogan and Blackmarsh to see how they're doing. "Great party little-bro, you know how to throw a party!""I agree son, I didn't know I'd get a party of this deal. Sure we're going into battle, but my men know how to do three things well, drink, eat, and fight.""Well enjoy yourselves! Tommorow we're going to war!" You cheer, deciding it's time for the 'surprise."Ma G, load up the Gundam Style Macros and initiate them on all five mobile suits!""Affirmative"Ma G changes up the music and the mobile suits begin to move. The AGE-1, AGE-1.2, G-Exes, J-Exes and the Crusader all begin to dance.(What there doing is similar to this, similar music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZC08QMtqXQ&list=FLaBFONBXrO-gtpqJvaJ0OSA )The ground shakes a little as they dance, but everyone, especially the pirates are laughing their ass off at the rediculous display, only helped by CD and his classy light show effects on the dancing mobile suits. After a couple of minutes the mobile suits stop, their eyes flash and they go back to their normal positions, receiving standing applause for their performance. Now it's around time to go to Mellis. Ready Jake?
>>24930561Ready as we'll ever be. We better know the timing of those fireworks for maximum effect.
>>24930561Thanks for the video. That was hilarious! But yeah, let's go see Melis. Then at the end of the party, a hot-blooded speech.
>>24930561Yeah, let's go see Mellis.
>>24930624>>24930616>>24930610You leave to meet Mellis at your designated romantic meeting point by the lake. After a small hike you find her sitting at the table you set up, the candle flickering in the wind as you sit down to your prime rib dinner which is semi-warm after the wait. What do you say to Mellis Jake?
>>24930695"Guess I didn't have to beat you at a mobile suit simulator after all, did I?"
>>24930718>>24930742>"Guess I didn't have to beat you at a mobile suit simulator after all, did I?""Oh shut up. I'd be at the party if I didn't go into murderous fits of rage around your friends" Mellis shakes her head, rolling her eyes. You pour her some wine and begin to eat. You have the trigger for the fireworks in your pocket. What do you want to do Jake? What's your plan of 'action'
>>24930803> You have the trigger for the fireworks in your pocket. If you know what I mean.Take it slow. Don't treat it like a real date, you're just hanging out with her over some nice dinner. Have fun, relax, and enjoy yourself.
>>24930803Try to take it easy. Don't treat it like a date. See how she's holding up. Not too sure mentioning yesterday's events would be a good idea. God, I don't know shit about dating...
>>24930803We ought to wait for a suitably romantic moment to trigger it, like us kissing."Not my fault you can't control your temper. Look on the bright side, it means you get to have a romantic meal with me without even having to admit that you dig me and want to go on a date. Clever girl. We're setting out tonight, bringing the fight to the Vagan. It'll be a major engagement, fighting to defeat the enemy and retrieving the data the Doctors need to help you out. Do you have any idea how many death flags you are raising on me, narratively speaking I'm more likely to die heroically getting the data we need than a rookie cop, whose name we don't know, on his first day who's just 1 week away from retirement going out on a solo mission. Fortunately you're worth it, you're beyond worth it. And yes, I know that I'm bragging."
>>24930803"Hey, we're set up right next to a lake, and I'm terrified of lakes. All things considered, we both had to make a concession."Then just talk about stuff we usually do until you hit a lull in the conversation."Oh, and don't think you're missing everything." Then you slide to sit right next to her.Say "Look up there. Three... Two... One." Then trigger the fireworks.
>>24930803"Shut up, Jean Luc-Picard. I'm terrified of lakes, you don't see me fussing about.""I made you a fancy meal, some nice drinks, and me screaming in terror would be perfect entertainment for tonight."
>>24930880>>24930898>>24930905You try be subtle and not get awkward or anything. You discuss your past shenanigans and have a couple of laughs. Eventally you bring up what any nerd who's ever existed in the past 1155 years has probably known.>"We're setting out tonight, bringing the fight to the Vagan. And yes, I know that I'm bragging.""Watch it, I'll make you pineapple salad" Mellis warns with a laugh."I'm sorry you can't go to the party but I hope my shuttle terror of the water and this will make you feel better" You say, scooching your chair over to hers. "What are you talking about?"""Look up there. Three... Two... One." Then you pull the trigger and the sky lights up in a technicolor array that causes even your eyes to widen in awe. You and Rena smile, resting your heads against one another, not kissing, not getting all sappy, just sitting together and enjoying the beautiful array of lights and explosions in the sky.Now what Jake?
>>24931124Just enjoy the fireworks in silence and let her make a move.
>>24931124Evening time. Need a suitably hot-blooded speech for everyone. Then send Melis back. It's getting close to go-time.
>>24931124Sit in silence for a bit, watch the fireworks, hold that girl's hand like the perverted son of a bitch we are.
>>24931124"Although I wish it were under different circumstances, I'm glad you're here with me.">>249311932lewd!
>>24931220>"Although I wish it were under different circumstances, I'm glad you're here with me.""I am too. Your a knucklehead at times but your my friend Jake and I want you to stick around because...maybe I like you more then I think" She turns to you and smiles. As the fire works die down and you both stand up to leave, you lean over and peck her on the cheek, then sprint off back towards party."See you later Mellis!""JAKE YOU SON OF A BITCH I'LL CASTRATE YOU!"-------------You arrive at the party just as it's breaking up. Making your way over to you Gundam, you have Ma G raise you up.What will be your hotblooded speech to the crowd Jake?
>>24931337"I.. err.. e... um... well... I seem to have spaghetti in my pockets."
>>24931337Blue-balled a girl. Jake, you magnificent bastard!
>>24931337OK guys, This is it, we are about to stick out dicks into a wasp's nest, but you know what? because we are badasses that aint gonna mean jack shit, because we have friendship and all that awesome stuff. Our friendship and awesomeness is like a pressure washer, it .... awe fuck it... Lets go out and kick some vegan ass!
>>24931337GAH! I'm late. Is the thread almost over?
>>24931337ladies and Gentlemen we are about to make history, generations form now we will be remembered and- oh fuck it who am I kidding just do what you always do.
>>24931337well you know, Seig Zeon and all that stuff...
>>24931337"Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, just in case you don't know I am Jake Crocker, resident tech-geek, engineering hermit, and complete fucking lunatic. I have assembled before me the bravest, deadliest, passionate, and the most beautiful, sons of bitches to ever grace existence. If I wasn't in a strange relationship limbo right now I'd kiss every single one of you with a smile on my face. Men and women who are willing to risk exile, death, and pain to fight the single most dangerous foe that Humanity has ever encountered. No matter what the miserable fucking politicians say, no matter what the news says about us, people will know that we saved them from certain destruction while their leaders sat their with their thumbs up their ass more concerned about their personal slice of power than anything else, the truth has a way of getting out my friends. And we are going to shove our boots so far the Vagan's ass that they will taste boot polish and there's not a god damn thing they can do about it. Because we have already done the impossible, we have gathered forces beyond what anyone thought could be done, we have built technology generations ahead of the norm, we have shown no fear to those who attempted to terrorize an entire civilization. WE ARE MIGHTY AND WE WILL SKULLFUCK THOSE MISERABLE BASTARDS UNTIL THEY BEG US TO STOP!"
>>24931490Hm.I would have gone for a more Henry V approach, but that's good too.
>>24931508Thinking about it more, a Henry V speech assumes very few people will live by the end of the battle. So nevermind, I guess.
>>24931337"After years of suffering, we're finally taking the fight to the Vagan. Us. Not some mighty Federation fleet. Just us. Colonists, pirates, mutineers, and failures. We are what stands between the Vagan and destruction. This isn't about about the Federation. It isn't about Zalam or Euba. It isn't about the pirates. It's about our families, or friends, our comrades, and our homes. The Vagan want to wipe us out. The Federation doesn't care about us. Both sides expect us to roll over and die. Fuck That! I don't care what either side says. I'm not going to abandon my family and home! And neither will any of you. I will stand up and fight! Just who the Hell do they think we are!?"
>>24931490Yeah, you sure they won't accidentally Mellis' lab after that speech?
>>24931337"Listen here, men. And ladies.""We gathered here today and I assume we all enjoyed ourselves. I'd like to thank our lovely host and everyone for helping me make this a day to remember.""And you know what? I want to have many, many more days like this. I want to hang out with people I care about and people who care about me.""I want to laugh, and eat, and drink, and eat with you all again and again and fucking again.""But apparently, some dickweeds up there say that we can't. They say they're gonna come over here and crash our party.""You know what? FUCK THOSE ASSHOLES.""If they want to crash and burn the people and places we care about, they have to go through us first.""Which they tried and failed. Now, we're going over to their place and we'll crash and burn it.""They want to fuck with us? To stop our fun? To end our lives? JUST WHO THE HELL DO THEY THINK WE ARE?"
>>24931490http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkBGjLfVbIY The only proper music for this speech
>>24931535We'll be with the group going to the Lab, we can impress on them the importance of us stealing all the data from it before we annihilate it.
>>24931508I was slightly inspired by Patton's famous speech.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9b5g1avyCSA
>>24931417(Just about, sorry, It's 1:00 Am over here and I need to sleep, all I need is a hotblooded speech to wrap this up. I have a twitter page that I'll be using to give updates, times, and such on this quest. https://twitter.com/Crosswire )>>24931534>"Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, just in case you don't know I am Jake Crocker, resident tech-geek, engineering hermit, and complete fucking lunatic. >I have assembled before me the bravest, deadliest, passionate, and the most beautiful, sons of bitches to ever grace existence. "We will go to Ambat and we will come back not only as victors, but as HEROES!" You shout, throwing your fist into the air.The crowd cheers and it begins. Everyone helps clean up, kisses are made, hugs are given and recieved and everyone begins to leave for the ships. Yurin and Desil wave from the porch as you take the Crusader back to the ship.Tomorrow, you begin the war.(Cont)
(Great Job everyone! Tomorrows game will be starting at 3:00-3:30, please check out and follow my twitter page, I made it just for this RP. So if there's a change in time I'll be posting it their, don't worry about getting stupid crap. How as today's Part?)
>>24931617A breath of fresh air from yesterday's Kobayashi Maru.I expect more healing type writing at Ambat?
>>24931617Fantastic. If we didn't have cool interludes between the Gundam combat, it wouldn't be as awesome when we duke it out with giant robots.
>>24931643>healing type writingWhat?
>>24931643Healing type writing? What does that mean?
>>24931617Quite nice. It's like Gundam should be: come for the giant robot fights, stay for the character interaction.
>>24931650>>24931656Gen Urobutcher's schtick of tragedy in PMMM.
>>24931689>Gen Urobutcher'sOh not a chance. If you guys make the right choices and don't do anything Titanically stupid, you'll save everyone, well, named characters anyway.
>>24931705You'll be able to save everyone.
>>24931689I have no idea what you just typed.
...we forgot to call mom again.
>>24931720Gen Urobuchi, creator of Madoka. In the first three episodes, manages to troll everyone by making a magical girl series.>>24931705>>24931717Guess we're still going to get Grodek killed in * years, unless he doesn't shoot the asshole on the ship, or we kill everyone. Which is hard, seeing as that we can't kill children.
>>24931735>"Hey mom I'm going straight into a battlefield with those assholes who attemptfull scale genocide on colonists on a bimonthly basis and there's no guarantee that dad or I will survive. Love you! bye! She's better off not being stressed out.
(Well, good night everybody! Remember to check out that twitter page of mine I made for this. See you tomorrow!)
>>24931757Ehhh, Grodek isn't really a concern when we have other people to consider, like Jack, Flit, the Armstrong, our buddies, our lil bro, our love interest, Flit's love interest and Flit's back up love interest.Honestly, part of me is picturing Gen 3 being the 3rd gen protagonist facing off against Jake who's gone Lord Genome/Char as he pilots the Black Crusader Gundam.
>>24931887Grandson against grandfather. Jake piloting a SID Gundam while an army of sentient mobile suits destroys civilization.Or we allow that time travel bullshit to happen and the final boss is Jake from the good timeline vs Jake from the timeline where everything went to shit.
>>24931887>>24931971This is ignoring our semi-serious plan to get the 2nd gen kids of Jake and Flit (assuming Flit has a daughter this time around instead of a son) to shack up so that we can play as the progeny of both the Crocker line and the Asuno line.
>>24931971I can honestly see Jake using a SID gundam with Ma-G serving as support. Hell, Big Bad Jake would be horrifying both in terms of combat potential, but also reasoning. After all, he could simply wipe out both governments and have everyone unite together out of sheer fear of him. Be the Black Devil that everyone unites to defeat.
>>24932086Nah, it's just throwing ideas out. We're going through with the Crocker / Asuno eugenics program.
>>24932124If Mellis dies, that's probably what will happen.Jake doesn't have kids, he pours everything into bioengineering / cybernetics, and emerges as something not-human.The final battle is Flit in his Gundam vs Jake and his cape. Jake wins by punching the Gundam.
>>24932136That would either end with a very smart kid, a very screwed up kid, or both."(Name) come downstairs, there's dinner.""I can't Mom, I'm busy doing engineering!""What are you making?""I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure it breaks at least 3 known laws of physics."
>>24932177Nonsense. This scenario won't even happen because we're saving Mellis come hell or high water.
>>24932214"See, I went through grandpa Jake's old science books, and he keeps mentioning some Spiral power, and I think I found it."
>>24932177Honestly, I don't even see Jake do the face heel turn until late Gen-2 or right before Gen-3. See all the shit the Feddies pull, fades into the back ground only to pop up in Gen-3 going "Fuck All you bitches." and punching the government where it hurts before declaring war.Besides, if we don't get a red kid, we can always get a purple or blond.
>>24932136>>24932214It shouldn't be all that hard to do, considering the events leading to the joining of both family bloodlines and essentially making a badass, genius, and ridiculously psychic kid could simply happen by circumstance. The kid that would have been born as Kio Asuno winds up radically different and far more likeable due to his Croker blood.
>>24932324hell, who said it had to be ONE kid? After all, twins have that whole twin connection thing going on.
>>24932273Imagine the conversation between Evil Jake and Ezelcant."No, Lord Ezelcant. You misunderstand. You seek to 'select' humanity and in doing so change it.""That won't work. They are weak by nature, and they will always prey on one another. War will always exist. That's the nature of humanity.""The only solution so far that has proven to be effective in holding humanity together is fear against a bigger threat. And I intend to be that bigger threat.""I will rule the ashes through fear, and through fear I shall save humanity.""Let me show you what I mean. MADNUG, release SID units 1 to 250. Their objecitve: Extermination."
