Rolled 56“I want you to know that it wasn’t my intention to use that unforgivable curse on you” you tell him. He cocks his head to the side, his face subtly contorting in a way that shows a new appraisal of you. “OH YEAH” you say, remembering something of vital importance. “WHERE IN MERLIN’S NAME IS MY TARA?!”“The cat?”“YES”“Oh, we put it in a broom cuppard across the hall”“YOU WHAT!”You manage to calm yourself enough to realise that things could have been a lot worse considering the way of things. You make getting Tara back your second or third objective. You bundle the Trident up in your robes again and head off. When you arrive at the tree you find everyone sitting around Robert who sits on the root with the scroll in his hands. >You found it!>Can I have it, please>We better get to the castle>Does it say anything?>other

>>24365912Good enough indeed.
Everyone remembers there's supposed to be a scroll AND a potion, right?
>>24365881"Maud, how are you doing?"We kind of left her with a bunch of people she didn't know even when she did have memories, which might not have been a good move.
Rolled 57>>24365881>“Oh, we put it in a broom cuppard across the hall”Once more I ask...Why?
>>24365928Seconding.>>24366074Olivia is bro-tier, so she'd hopefully be fine
>>24366109I assume they just wanted it out of the way as they raided the room and didn't bother putting it back.
Looking back on it, it seems pretty clear that the letter Maud showed us and said that our parents wrote was a forgery. However, while she wanted to make us miserable, I still can't really picture her as being hateful enough to honestly try to get us disowned. Like fucking with our heads sure, but deliberately sabotaging things between our parents and us?I can't really picture her going that far while still making the choice she did with the Trident.
Rolled 11“You found it!” you say, stepping into the circle. You notice the Olivia sitting out of the way with Maud, she holds her hand and keeps her calm during these confusing turn of events. It’s difficult to think what you would have done without Olivia this year. She has been a godsend to you and a rock for you to hold fast against. With warmth filling your heart you divert your attention to Robert. “What does it say?”“Well it’s basically a guide to reverse everything, no potion however” say Robert, hanging the parchment to you. Looking upon the page you can see a whole load of complicated spell incantations mixed with the exact method to brew a reversal potion. >Ask Maud how she is>Head to the castle>Discuss things with everyone here
>>24366290Copying my post from the last thread:Here's my interpretation. She blocked our letters, which led us to not following our parents instructions, which led to them getting pissed off enough to not show up when we were hurt and disowning us after the unforgivable curse.Maud knew of their intentions to disown since the incident with Bergle and was actually trying to set up a way for us to live together, since it partially her fault that we were being disowned and she was trying to take responsibility. The letter this morning was real. But she was still pissed off at us enough to lord it over heads when we discovered her ploy.
>>24366378>Ask Maud how she is>Head to the castleTo the headmaster!
>>24366378>Ask Maud how she is>Head to the castleWe can discuss things with everyone once we've got this entire situation settled, and we've rescued Tara.
>>24366403This is good.

>>24366378Thank Robet for his help.Hug Maud, ask how she is.Then head to the castle.

>>24366394I don't know, it seems like Maud didn't just block mail, but also forged it as well. What if she forged responses in our name, and sent them to our parents?
>no potionNow that I think about it, isn't it a bit odd that the potion is gone?
>>24366468there are instructions so its irrelevant
>>24366468It was twenty years ago wasn't it?Things happen.Like what else could the potion do? Is it a custom made thing for use in Trib's unique circumstance, or can it reverse other things as well?
>>24366493But she did say that there was a potion to go along with it.
>>24366510Then maybe Bergle or his brother took it.
>>24366378Head to the castleGet Tara en route to headmasterMaud isn't going to be fixed anytime soon, lets do what we can right now.
>>24366507I'm just feeling a bit paranoid that it'd be able to reverse Maud's memory loss, and she obtained it a while ago for that particular purpose, weaving the grandest keikaku of all.

>>24366555We left her with the golems!

>>24366562well atleast they have a new queen. No i think we left her somewhere safe.
>>24366562Don't you DARE bullshit me! I hope not!...I hope not...
>>24366596>>24366585>these are our friends.
Who did we send to the castle?
>>24366661We already sent someone, now it's time to meet up in Trib's room/class.
Placing bets that we're going to collapse onto the first bed we see and pass out. It seems to be hat's done in these kind of situations.
>>24366394>"No matter what they decide, if they throw you out they'll throw me out, okay? You're not alone in this"She said this right when the whole letter forging thing began. Why? Like if anything it goes too far than a lie to gain our trust, it's so magnanimous that it can't help but be suspicious. And it seems like in the end, she even wanted to keep that promise she made about leaving home to help us.Did she resolve to a self-imposed penalty if she went too far? Did she come to the conclusion that our parents were bad news?
>>24366687Nah. We're just gonna be sitting there after everything's calmed down, the adrenaline is going to wear out and then we'll start shaking violenty and screaming because HOLY FUCK WE WERE JUST IN A CAVE FLOODING WITH WATER.
>>24366687yeah we are dead on our feet at this point. >adrenaline is a hell of a drug
>>24366739See... this guy knows how to role-play her right.
>>24366739>WE WERE JUST IN A CAVE FLOODING WITH WATER.Once that hits, we are going to be a nervous wreck for at least a day.
You thank everyone for finding it and turn your attention to Maud whilst the others talk amongst themselves. Maud nervously bites her lip as she looks at you approach. “Everything okay?” you askMaud smiles and looks to Olivia who gives a smile which tells her everything is okay. You rest a hand on Maud’s shoulder and ask everyone to come with you to the castle. The whole group gets moving and heads into the castle. Lessons are still taking place as you all walk past the classrooms filled with students. You can’t help but feel like you’ve amassed a small army, a gathering of friends (and likewise) that have marked your stay at the castle. When you arrive at Professor Trib’s classroom you can see her entire class is walking in the opposite direction to you. You shuffle in with your friends and find her and the headmaster, along with Nigel sitting at the front of the class in wait. “Is what this boy says true?” says the Headmaster. You watch something like hope flash across Trib’s horrid face. >Yes, sir. I’ve found the reversal potion for professor Trib. >[hand over parchment to Trib]>Thank Nigel for his assistance>Discuss Maud’s memory loss>other
>>24366801>Thank Nigel for his assistance>Yes, sir. I’ve found the reversal potion for professor Trib. >[hand over parchment to Trib]>Discuss Maud’s memory loss
>>24366801>[hand over parchment to Trib]>Thank Nigel for his assistance>other"Yes, it's true. We found the formula for the memory reversal potion, but the potion itself was gone."
>>24366739Yeah that...That might be the most psychologically damaging thing that happened today, and there is some STRONG competition.
>>24366801>slap the parchment down on the table like a boss>thank nigel>discuss mauds memory with headmaster while trib freaks out
>>24366801>Good work Nigel>Yes sir. This parchment has everything we need
>>24366801>Thank Nigel for his assistance>Yes, sir. I’ve found the reversal potion for professor Trib. Then wait until the class clears to discuss Maud's memories. No need dragging the peanut gallery into that.
>>24366739When we inevitably have to roll for composure for that I hope I can get my nat 100.
>>24366801>[hand over parchment to Trib]while doing so"Headmaster, I have to ask, do you have any experience with memory loss and recovery? I wouldn't ask if it wasn't serious. And yes, what Nigel said is true".
>>24366801>>[hand over parchment to Trib]
>>24366859Poor Millie. This approaching 5th or 6th year levels of bad shit happening in terms of Harry's adventure and she's just starting out.
>>24366801>Discuss Maud’s memory loss
>>24366851Wait, it's a memory reversal potion, and our sister recently lost all her memories?...The only problem is that I have no idea how our sister could have known what the Trident really does.
>>24366892"Oh yeah about the parch-I WAS SURROUNDED BY WATER!"Faints.
>>24366934Come year 7 the entire castle will flood (somehow) and everyone will drown except Millie who will barely survive on top of the Astronomy Tower.
>>24366952The memory reversal potion was for Trib and the gang since they obliv-whatevered themselves.
>>24366995I'm just saying that the memory reversal potion is missing, and someone who is a prodigy in the field of deception recently lost all of hers....Either that, or it has something to do with Bergle's brother whatshisface.
>>24366985but is it really survival? she looks out over the see that was once hogwarts and its vastness brings her to the edge, she dives off the cliff in her mind and loses all that she was. >crazy millie living in a tower in the sea by herself.
You cross the room quickly and slap down the parchment on the desk beside Trib, the silence which comes from the silence lets you know how awesome you are.“This is for your reversal potion, miss” Trib takes the parchment and holds it up to her crooked nose, peering down at the small lettering...“Oh god” she says, holding her chest with one hand as if she might faint. “This is it, the potion to return me back to the way I was” she turns to you and takes you into a fierce bear hug. “Thank you, Miss Fauxly, you have changed my life more than you could ever know”>Any time.>I do what I can.>I had help.>other
>>24367043She had know way of knowing about the potion, even Nathaniel didn't because he was dead before the whole "we must forget" pact was made.
>>24367117>"Thank you, but I have one more friend in need of help"GO FIND TARA!
>>24367117>I had help.
>>24367117"If you don't mind me asking, what exactly will that potion do?"
>>24367149Oh right, we've left her hanging long enough.
>>24367117Say nothing, awkwardly hug back.
>>24367123Unless she really was in cahoots with Bergle like we're going to say she was pressured into being to stop her from being expelled, arrested, and/or committed.
>Tara and Millicent accidentally a trident.>Tara takes Millies memoriesAnd so begins the adventures of wizard cat Tara!
>>24367260We don't have to do any of that. Just a simple "we made the mannequin together" or "she went with me because she was worried" will do.
>>24367300Or we can take the Headmaster aside and tell the honest truth, we need to get around to telling Maud too, anyway.
>>24367300I'm talking about if people find out about the whole mail fuckery thing.Seeing as Bergle did a whole lot of other crazy shit to stop people from finding the Trident, like framing someone for poisoning and turning them into a cat for several months, we can pretty much blame whatever we want on him.
>>24367363A lot of what has happened you can safely assumed went under the radar when it shouldn't have because of Bergle. Procedures were not followed and duties were not being properly met.
>>24367316Before we do that, we should write a letter to Pester asking her to give us all the letters Maud blocked and/or forged....Or will she no longer obey us since we got disowned?
>>24367439We'll cross that road when we get there, I know we're already preparing to check the letter we got today with Maud's handwriting to see if it was forged.
>>24367117>I had help.>Other"Now, I have another friend that also needs help."Go and save Tara.
>>24367390See, it's perfect.I'm just talking about that in case our parents aren't complete douchebags and we want to tell them about what really happened with the mail in a way that doesn't get Maud disinherited.
>>24367479You don’t say a word as you hug her back. After the moment passes you step away as the headmaster speaks. “Looks like you’ve been busy” he says, snapping his fingers, the door to Trib’s study opening as Tara skitters out and sits between your legs. “The caretaker found her in a cupboard”You send a scathing look in Charles’ direction. “Your parents will arriving soon, Millicent. First I want us to talk in private”>My sister should come too; I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important. >My parents? Did you send an owl to contact them?>go with him
>>24367542Go with him.We still need to work some things out with Maud.
>>24367542>My sister should come too; I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important.
>>24367542>My sister should come too; I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important. This kinda is important
>>24367542>My sister should come too; I wouldn't ask if it wasn't important. It will be easier to explain her condition to our parents with the Headmaster's help.
>>24367563I know we'll have to tell her eventually about the kind of things she used to do, but I'm afraid that this might not be the best environment for it.Eh, the longer we wait, the worse it'll get though, right?
>>24367542>My sister should come too; I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important. This would be a good opportunity to also let Maud know that it was her choice to lose her memories, and why.
>>24367597Plus the Headmaster needs to be informed, so may as well.
You oblige him but not without urging him to take Maud with you. With his go ahead you take Maud by the hand, taking her away from Olivia’s comfort, and then walk with her into Professor Trib’s study. Inside the Headmaster asks for you both to sit whilst he leans against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. “Please explain yourselves” he says calmly “Try not to leave out any details”>Tell him everything which happened today, you can decide to tell him, and Maud, everything but leave out some details if you see fit.
>>24367542>>My sister should come too; I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important.
>>24367734>Tell him everything which happened today, the whole truthTime for the whole story. We're going to really need an adult's support when we deal with our parents anyway.
>>24367734>>Tell him everything which happened today, you can decide to tell him, and Maud, everything but leave out some details if you see fit.
>>24367772Fuck it. Go with this.
>>24367734"First can you promise that Maud won't have to leave Hogwarts? She still remembers how to cast magic, and even what memory charms are, and... enough has happened to her already."
>>24367734>but leave out some details if you see fit.Maybe the part about Olivia and Robert helping us with the supplies?
>>24367734Have Maud wait outside for the part where she betrayed us, bring her back in to describe her memory loss.
>>24367819Might be a good idea.Do we still have the trident?
>>24367842The longer we put off telling her the worse it's gonna get. Now that we're in a relatively safe and comfortable place it's best she learns now rather than on accident later.
>>24367772We can't afford to leave anything out.
>>24367819Or maybe just say they did it right after he lifted the ban?
>>24367772>>24367734whole truth like we under oath!
>>24367734Tell him everything, including that Maud may have been stopping letters which led to our degrading relationship with our parents, but that she regretted it all and that's why she chose to lose her memories.
>>24367734Tell him the truth. Also tell him that we had permission from Tooledge to take part in the contest.
>>24367927Just say that she appears to have been screening our letters, since so far that's the only thing we know she's done. For all we know, our parents were even worse than the forgeries.
>>24367962Make sure to point out that it was the real Tooledge as well.
>>24367811Like I don't know, the fact that in our vision we were mentioned as wearing our Ravenclaw robes, while there wasn't mention of what Maud was wearing, leaves me fearing the worst.
>>24367927Also point out that when the boss golem appeared, and we stopped to hold it off/were paralyzed with aquaphobia, instead of running away, Maud ran back into danger to carry us out of it, which is how she wound up touching the Trident in the first place.
You decide to tell the Headmaster everything, setting down the Trident of Salazar Slytherin on the table, unfurling your robe as it gleams from the light coming from the window. Timothy doesn’t so much as flinch as he watches you tell the story in painstaking detail until there is nothing that he and Maud doesn’t know about your story. “I did that to you?” says Maud, pale faced, hands balling into fists. “What kind of sister was I?”“No girl your age should have gone through what you have this year, Millicent” says the Headmaster who during your story had sat opposite you. >So can you get my sister’s memories back?>Am I in trouble?>What’s going to happen now?>What’s going to happen with my sister?>other
fuck yeah, hp quest!
>>24368030>“What kind of sister was I?”"In the end, the best sister I could ever hope for."Moar hugs.
>>24368030>So can you get my sister’s memories back?>What’s going to happen with my sister?"Because at the end of everything, even with everything that she did, Maud still protected me."
>>24368030"What's going to happen now? Can you get my sister's memory back? In view of the fact that I found a way to reverse trib's curse, how deep in trouble I am, sir?"

>>24368030>What’s going to happen now?>What’s going to happen with my sister?>Did I win the House Cup for Ravenclaw?
>>24368030Take Maud's hand."You protected me in the end Maud.""Is there any way to get my sister's memories back?"
>>24368030Put our hand on Maud's shoulder and tell her that she was the kind of sister who would willingly give up all her memories to save us, and, in the end, that's what matters.Ask him what's going to happen to our sister, beg him not to do anything harsh, since she was already sorry when she did have memories, much less punishing her for something she effectively hasn't done.

This Trident was crafted and enchanted by a founder of Hogwarts and one of the most powerful wizards to ever live, because of this any tampering with the artefact will prove difficult and time consuming. “A year?!” you say, unable to keep the shock from your voice. Maud on the other hand sits with a silent calm that shows the clear disconnect she is feeling at the present moment, that she is still making sense of the situation and so cannot find herself to feel any real emotions other than confusion. “I’ll be keeping the Trident in my safe keeping under the strictest protection” he says “Either that or allow the beauracy of the ministry to get involved in these affairs, the way things have been ran there in current times would back track any progress by several years at the very least”The adrenaline which kept you going through the day has all but left your system now. With a dull eyed expression you ask another question, relaxing into the wooden chair, ignoring how uncomfortable it is. “Will my sister still be able to attend Hogwarts?”“ We’ll have to wait until the examinations have been made”“What will happen when my parents arrive?”“You’ll have a chance to talk to them for a little while before returning to your dorm, and consequently your studies for the rest of the year”>I understand>There’s still something I’m confused about (explain what it is)

>>24368744>Except for OliviaAnd Tara, and Elise. >>24368075>I think one of our traits was perfect memoryYes. We have an Eidetic Memory:"Nothing escapes your memory. You possess a near photographic memory, allowing youto pick up things and remember them perfectly later on."
>>24368859So does that mean we remember what the handwriting of that letter Maud showed us and said came from our parents looked like?

>>24368882Yes, with a fairly easy roll.
>>24368894Roger was the one who came through. Although I still just do not get him at all. We basically did the same to him that we did to Charles but less severe and now all of a sudden he wants to be our best friend. The kid worries me.

>>24368941...and we never did that. Through the entire quest.Damn.Of course, there are probably spells for duplicating handwriting, so...*shrug*
>>24368963Ooooh Robert~, how many ancient artifacts did you find so far? :3
>>24368963>Then we can romance Magical Indiana Jones...Perhaps...
>>24369022One... I found you.
>>24369034That doesn't even make sense, Robert. You're terrible at flirting, calling a girl "ancient?"
>>24369034Can't tell if sick burn or lame compliment...
"Why would Bergle encourage someone to find the Trident, if he wanted to keep its location secret? Anyone finding it would have a chance of uncovering his crime of murder."The Headmaster gives this some thought. “I don’t know, perhaps the answer will reveal itself in due time” he says“Whatever happened to his brother, Crispin?” you ask, remembering the nervous little boy from the Trident’s false reality. “After Crispin graduated from Hogwarts he spent some time as an intern in the Ministry of Magic, from there his whereabouts have been unknown”You remember the letter you had pocketed in your robe. The one from your parents telling you they no longer wished to see you again. You take it out of your robe and place it on the table. “Maud, would you please write the following words ‘the spaglot likes to laugh a lot in camelot’” Maud does as she is told and takes a quill and some parchment from the desk and sees to scratching away the Headmaster’s words. It is exactly the same handwriting as the letter. >So it was you, Maud, without a doubt. >That solves that one then. >other

>>24369187Memory doesn't work that way, we wouldn't actually understand the material doing that.
You sigh, thankful at the very least that the whole darn mystery of it is over, despite the fact that Bergle’s motivations still remain a mystery. A part of you hopes to forget about it and never dwell on it again, another wants to see the mystery solved to its true conclusion. You mull it over as you leave Maud with the Headmaster whilst go back to the Room of Requirement and get your things, moving it all back to your dorm, thankful everyone is still in class. You lay on your bed for a moment with the intention of having a quick nap, instead however you find yourself falling into a deep sleep which seems like the first real one you’ve had since the whole mess began. Several hours later you are woken by Olivia and called downstairs into dorm’s main floor. There, standing by the entrance, is Professor Trib, but not as you have known her. A beautiful middle-aged woman with strawberry blonde hair smiles at you with tears fallings past her cheeks. >Hey, Miss, looking good. >Trib?>Hubba hubba. >other

“Hey, Miss, do something new with your hair?” you say with a smile. Trib doesn’t say a word as she laughs a little and gives you a firm hug that shows you just what this means to her. “You are a remarkable young witch, Millicent” she says “I thought I was going to live the rest of my life like I was. You saved me, Millicent.”Your time at Hogwarts, all the trouble, all the pain, doesn’t seem all for nothing at this moment. As Trib releases you, you turn and look at your friends who are also looking with tear filled eyes of joy. But then, how could any of it been a waste? You have friends now who care about you, a loving family, good grades, Fur Elise, Tara. You’ve uncovered a mystery, battled a professor and fought a giant rock golemn and lived to tell the tale! You can’t help but grin to yourself, whatever waits for you you’ll be ready for it. >>24370368I liked the duel with Bergle.Just the sheer tension of it where could barely hold our own, and passed the 'don't get killed by adava kedavra' challenge by just one point.
>>24370368Lumos Maxima of Love
>>24370368Maud's hug has kind of been sullied but it was still great. So was the moment with Oliva on the Quidditch Pitch. But despite the plot inconsistencies, the whole thing with the Crystal Ball, the deal behind the Trident and Salazar's jealousy for Rowena, the parrellels between Maud and Millie, and Maud's ultimate choice was my favorite.

>>24370520Yeah it's actually useful from a quest running perspective as a story telling device.
>>24370368Either:Petrifying Robert: We got to see Millie being powerful, but not in the insane Crucio way.Igniting the House Elf: Same reason.orThe scene with Maud after touching the Trident: We finally get to see who Maud really is, without any suspicion or lies.
>>24370534Between taking on Bergle, Petrifying Robert, and Crucio'ing Charles, we will likely NOT be fucked with after this year. At least not by anyone smart
>>24370368I really enjoyed the moment when we were hit in the back of the neck and fell unconscious, learned about the two headmasters, and began our full-fledged paranoia. That was a great night.
>>24370368Maud. Pretty much everything with her. Loved her in all her stages (meanie, mother Teresa, jealous demon, mother Teresa Reloaded). She was my favorite character.
>>24370368I enjoyed the scene when Nigel gave us the crystall ball. Especially that part about his mother. It wasn't flashy, but the character development was neat.
>>24370468I agree, that was a really tense fight, because the threat that Bergle posed was so obvious, and there were no ways out. It was either fight or die, and we came pretty damn close to dying.

>>24370825My dearest parents. I am living amongst the muggles in the remote and tiny city of Exeter. What can I tell you of this mysterious city and its people? It is a place of strange wonder, and yet to the outsider like me, a place of odd tradition. The people here are simple and industrious, and seem to care little for the worries present of our world. Their diet is mostly an odd mixture of eels, alcoholic beverages, and paper, which they call the dosh. As for Olivia, she is quickly learning the ways of a proper witch, and seems to be feeling better with every passing day. She still appears to be quite lost at times in this environment, but luckily her time in Hogwarts will make her unfortunate past just an old memory. To wit, I have found nothing wrong with this remote place, and I must admit it will be with some melancholy that I will leave this city and return home. >>24371156We can get a chance to increase every skill we succeeded at, at the end of a year, we roll a 1d5 to add that value to each of our attributes (since we're Ravenclaw, we get to roll 2d5 and take the better result for Intelligence and Willpower).Advancement may be a little slow in this quest, though because skill advancement only happens at the end of an adventure, and only goes up by 1d5. It works better when the games are lots of small adventures rather than one large adventure going over the course of an entire Quarter.
>>24371412lol, who do you think it is for real? If this then NOPE. I'm not fat ron.
>>24371416In all honesty I moved away from strict rolling as time moved on. I still check on it and use it as a rule of thumb.
>>24371435just like you won't let us know who it is, you will never know who i really think it is.smugactivate
>>24371435I don't even know your gender for certain. But I'll guess Nigel or Robert for now.
>>24371480HPQ is really a girl with a good sence of humor, soup is really HPQ. Think about his ears as a pony tail and the baggy shirt. HPQ is a scene chick

>>24371574The only advantage to that is that we could explain to him, in detail, how many dicks he should choke on.
>>24371480>>24371435also you already told usWhat a fag. We're having fun. I'm Moot for christs sakes. - HPQ
Time for a new hairstyle or the second year!Any thoughts? I accept any ideas, even mohawks.
>>24371556...Well she's a fourth-year right? That means that, assuming she doesn't get her bi-polar ass killed, which is something I am increasingly losing hope for, she should be out of our hair by year five right?...right?
>>24371670I'm digging either Braided or Tight Pony Tail
>>24371678What do you mean by that?
>>24371670If we're getting invovled in sports and duelling, the Tight Pony Tail would make sense.
>>24371700I mean that after she graduates, she's not just going to hang around Hogwarts and mess with us more right?
>>24371737>Maud dies>Becomes ghost>Haunts the fuck out of us
>>24371670double tails while staying with olivia to be twinsies longer hair for the first half of the year then short hair and a pony tail for quidditch.
>>24371670Brooch looks nice. Shorter also looks okay. Double tails is too Olivia and. Tight ponytail with glasses would just draws way too much attention to her forehead imo. Braid is fine too.I'd probably go Shorter for my vote, but I just like shorter-haired girls.
>>24371737Nah, it's not like a sitcom. Characters can leave if it's in their character to do so.
>>24371670brooch. The brooch is made with the crushed soul of our enem-- ah no, we changed persona.Still, brooch is cool. Maybe Olivia gave a brooch to us for our birthday, because our hair was getting long and unkpempt.
>>24371670I actually like double tails, or brooch.Though definitely a tight ponytail for when we're doing sports, and use a blue ribbon for tying the hair back.
>>24371670Im liking brooch
Btw, do we get to keep Tara around for as long as we live? I have no clue how familiars work in HP.
>>24371670Braid all the way.
>>24371907It was more a question about Tara's natural lifespan, and less about her viability as ablative armour.
>>24371950She was only a few months old when you bought her so I would say...another fifteen more years left in her without any life extension magic.
>>24371670Brooch looks like a nice fit for everyday living while a tight pony-tail for athletic stuff.
>>24371670I'm fond of the Brooch: It seems rather Raven-esque. Either that or Tight Pony Tail.
>>24372001Thanks. Guess we have another item to add to our research list.
How would people feel about changing to a third person perspective? Not that I intend to do this.
>>24372082Gotta try it out honestly.
>>24372082>How would people feel about changing to a third person perspective? Not particularly favourable.
>>24372082defiantly not for the quest
>>24372082I say this because I'm probably going to re-write to the first year in 3rd person, cut away the fat and work on sentence structure and paragraphing.
>>24372142it would take away from the whole idea of us being millie to change tenses and persons now.
>>24372142Maybe you can write the 'rest of year one' text dump in third person, so we can see how it feels?
>>24372082Kind of get's rid of that feeling of involvement and immersion that Second Person offers, which is really kind of bad for a quest. Also Second Person is so grossly underused so I just plain like seeing it. >>24372142First Person might actually be better to represent the same thing second does without the awkwardness that's present in a non-interactive scenario.
>>24372207So perhaps try a first person perspective?
>>24372242Well, in the end you should go with whatever you're comfortable with but it wouldn't hurt to try. Could be a fun way to highlight some of our decision makings and theories by seeing them as Millie's actual thought process.
>>24372285'Course that could take a lot of work, and you'd have to sift through all the crazy and OOC stuff.
>>24372285>Millie's actual thought process.NOOOOOOOOOOOODLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! MY AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRMMS ARE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!

Im on thread number 30 with the pastebin update. gonna finish it when i wake up and post it in the next thread. I will see you all next year. Have a good summer kids.
>>24372671Ate my text. Anyway, good night.
>>24372622Good morning, dear Dumble.
Snippet from 'Year Two' opener. Millicent Fauxly – Year Two Millicent spent the rest of the year enjoying the company of her friends and working hard in lessons. Dreams for the first years to join the Quidditch team would have to wait for the second year at the very least. By working hard and looking after her sister, Millie’s reputation as someone to avoid dissipated to the point that most students barely remember the incident. It wasn’t easy for Millicent’s mother and father to accept the news of what Maud had done and what subsequently happened to her. However no blame was left on you and your sister, after examination, was diagnosed with magic induced amnesia.
>>24373138Sounds good so far, will the year two opener also include the winner of the house cup?
>>24373138>Millicent spent the rest of the year enjoying the company of her friends and working hard in lessons. >>24373138we lost our street cred! Quick, let's hex some first years!
Did the woman who founded Hufflepuff actually exist, or did the other three founders just throw a robe on some beggar so they had a house for all the shitty applicants?
>>24373358Find out next year.
>>24373366Find out next year in... Millicent Fauxly and the Beggar Wizard!

>>24373929I'm actually going to put this in. It will be called the Empathy Potion. Feels. Feels Everywhere.
>>24373977I could actually see that being used as a form of punishment.
>>24373977It is made with the tears of enemy, so you can actually taste the feels.
>>24374001>>24374006>Feels as a form of punishment You just described life my friend.
I always hate seeing my quest threads die ;__;
>>24374226>I could actually see that being used as a form of punishment.Such is life on 4chan. And please stop sampling the feels potion...
>>24374226I always hate it when I miss your quests. These feels, man. Will we be starting Yeaer Two straight on the train to Hogwarts?
>>24374678>These feels, man. Will we be starting Yeaer Two straight on the train to Hogwarts?I don't think so, it would collide with this:>>24369927Also, OP, could you be so kind a post a link to the thread next time you start the quest on twitter?
>>24374741Missed that, my brain is still half-asleep. Fuck yeah, muggles! Olivia will have a lot of fun showing her how stuff works. I figure Olivia must have some muggle friends in the neighbourhood? Would make for some interesting interactions between kids. They probably just think Olivia is at some posh far-off private school.
>>24374817That was the catch, she didn't have any friends before coming to Hogwarts...for reasons.
>>24374828Well dang, that's sad. No wonder she's so happy being friends with Millie. Will they have a trampoline to bounce on? And perhaps... water guns?... Will you be starting late or early tomorrow?
>>24374817Depending on our rolls, it's either going to be utterly adorable, or incredibly scarring for everybody involved.
>>24374930about ten hours from now.
>>24374938I think bad rolls will equal = funny. Given the situation.
>>24374961>You are investigating the strange holes in the wall which seem to supply the muggle devices with energy>Rolled 100=100I'm a using a fork to investigate!
Dammit I fell asleep midway through. Do we not get our "I WAS SURROUNDED BY WATER!" breakdown?
>>24375116Nope. Handled it like a boss.
>>24375258im awake! why am i awake! oh because HPQ is still posting and my sleeping brain wouldn't let me stay asleep.
