>>24320932>Her relationship with her sister has improved whilst her family have cut-off communications with her due to her not being housed in Slytherin.Um...
>>24320932hey HPQ whats the plan?
>>24320957Oh boy. Here comes the pain.
My body wasn't ready for that OP.
>>24320980QUICK its time to panic
>>24320957you had to do it didn't you.
Welp. Here we go. I'm praying for that silver lining, because Millie's life is just plain suffering right now.
>>24321017I don't think Buddha has shit on how life is suffering compared to Millie.
>>24321014Dumbles is back! Hip hip hooray!
Before we continue with the Quest:I run this quest out of my free time and I do it because I enjoy it. I like to complain about shitty writing as much as the next anon and at the end of the day I wrote one plot twist too many. It has been planned from about mid-way, however I did not account for some plot inconsistancies.I fucked up. I know. Lets move forward and continue with the Quest. Unless you would rather quit of course. Possible actions before continuing:1) None, keep going with where the Quest is headed and put it behind us.2) Retcon to an earlier point in the story.I prefer the first option because I’ve still more plot in store, however if my dedicated (for lack of a better word) followers don’t want that then I’ll go another direction.
>>24321097Honestly, I have to go with 2, unless you have a damn good explanation for the aforementioned inconsistencies.
>>24321097Maud makes no sense as a traitor, if you have some way of explaining why she would be acting like a traitor now I say retcon.
>>24321133unless, not if. Derp.
>>24321121Like right now, the only explanation is that everything Maud's saying right now is a lie designed to be as hurtful as possible.Because her telling the truth has become utterly impossible.
>>24321097Sure, narritively speaking, Maud being a traitor makes no sense, so 2 might be the better choice, if we want to keep that new dimension to her character, which seems the popular opinion from last nights shitstorm.
>>24321159Best explanation I can think of is that Charles isn't just a useless lump but is actually a serious baddie and Maud aware of that.
>>24321097Eh, I'd probably stop reading if you go with 1 since Maud is (or was) my favorite character, so favor 2.
>>24321097I'd prefer the retcon, simply because I can't think of any way to play Millie anymore that isn't just crying and giving up or going down the Dark Lord route. This is just one betrayal too many and the biggest one at that. I understand why things could have ended up like this and if you were looking for that emotional reaction to her betrayal, well it worked a little too well because I just don't see us really recovering. We're all a little lost on how to play Millie after this and I don't think it's worth it.
>>24321161Maud as a traitor would somehow work if she was somehow manipulated by somebody else
>>243210971Since I'm with >>24321121 this anon.>>24321133Because I have to know...> the connection between Maud and Charles...> why Maud would betray us...> the whole letter fiasco about Maud receiving our mail and making forgeries...> how did Charles get into our "instance" (I'm using it in the "instanced-dungeon" context since that's how I'm interpreting it from the HP-Wiki) of the Room of Requirement...> what's Professor Bergle involvement in all of this...If there isn't an explanation to any of what I've mentioned above, then I'm going to have to vote to 2 and carry on.
Yay! HPQuest and it hasn't even started that long ago!
>>24321234Yeah I have to agree with this.If OP wanted to make us experience the shock, anger, and despair Millicent would feel upon seeing Maud betray us, he succeeded beyond his wildest dreams. The problem is that the shock comes from OP going through great lengths to show how Maud couldn't possibly be the traitor.
>>24321095it was an over night ban but still bullshit.>>243210971 i trust you to fix the butt hurt that is out there.
>>24321249yeah thats what I was thinking after I wrote that, that maybe someone like Trib might be involved
>>24321287Well, let it be recorded not to proclaim that you're the first, second, etc., in a thread. Otherwise you will get banned.
>>24321256You forgot>Why she would betray us like this when she had a much better way of hurting us by tagging along with us and betraying us then.
>>243210971, and it had better be a damn good explanation for the bullshit that's happened.
>>24321097Seems to me like everyone wants 2. I think it's mostly because you made Maud a likable character and the fans don't want to see her go.I'm abstaining from voting.
>>24321308yeah pretty much, i emailed moot about better defining Global rule 3. Also what show are those witch gifs from?
>>24321309Yeah, that's the one thing I don't get. Everything convoluted about her plan seems to be entirely about building us up to knock us down and the perfect moment to do that we stumble upon on accident without her meaning for us to find out at all.>>24321281I would be less opposed to it if Millie's character development wasn't like 75% Maud's involvement. Without it we're not only a little lost but looking at that remaing 25% very suspiciously.
>>243210972)I had been clinging to the hope that Maud was performing a ruse to betray Charles and secure the trident for ourselves (how sweet and Slytherin would it be if she crushed Charles to protect her and Millies future?) But if that's not the case then yeah retcon.
>>24321315It's also because Maud would, again, have to be able to out-keikaku Sosuke fucking Aizen to be capable of what she says she did.And yet apparently considering what OP said at >>24321097, OP did not account for how Maud pulled this deception up.
>>24321400>>24321309So you completely disregard the myriad number of ways that Maud could be manipulated or controlled, without it actually being her, when we even know that someone was doing it to Harriet and presumably us, earlier?
>>24321281The hardest part of this is second guessing twenty or so posters until the end. If I give even the slightest hint to who the bad guy is you run and call the teacher and that's the end of it.Please understand that I'm writing under pressure.
>>24321416That was my initial reaction too when I saw her there. That said, I'm having trouble deciding, but it seems like the majority seems to be leaning towards 2.
>>24321426In case you haven't noticed, most people seem to want 1 if the situation isn't what it seems, but if it's straight up Maud betraying us 2.
“So you did this whole thing out of jealousy?!” you shout, hands trembling, the sister you thought had changed to comfort you now a monster in your eyes. But yet, your parents haven’t abandoned you, it’s been Maud all along, the home you thought you had lost isn’t. “You don’t think I didn’t notice Dad give you his robe before we left for the train? You don’t think I haven’t noticed the years since you were born of them always caring about you over me. It was enough for me to watch you squirm for once in your closed in little life, to see that the world didn’t revolve around you. But then you let slip in the library that you were up to something, didn’t take me long to figure it out.”She gestures to Charles who stands several inches behind her, wand raised and face no wear near as cool and reasoned as your sister. “Charles here has been a huge help, though he is a little afraid of you now after your last little outburst”>I trusted you, Maud! Do you realise what you’ve done to me?>Use expelliarmus or petrificus totalus>other
>>24321121Well, since you're voting 2, you won't ever find out if he does have a damn good explanation, will you?
>>24321426If that were the case, why would OP say things like>I wrote one plot twist too many>I did not account for some plot inconsistancies>I fucked up. I know.Is continuing to trick us part of his master plan?
>>24321473Well meta-gaming aside we are pretty fed up with this bullshit.>Use expelliarmus or petrificus totalus
>>24321484he may be the master ruseman yet, anon.
>>24321362Little Witch Academia
>>24321473Time to change the script."...Thanks to you, I know what it's like to feel as if your parents view you as a disappointment, or the whole world won't acknowledge your existence. And if I made you feel the same way, then I am so, so sorry, if I've made you go this far just to hurt me.Which is why I'm giving you one chance, to do what you should have done from the beginning.Ditch the pudgy third wheel and join me. And together we will claim the Trident as sisters. With my raw power and your precision and technique, I'm certain that we'll be able to make it through the small army of disgruntled house elves and/or the murderous professor that almost certainly stands between us and finding that wooden chump's corpse.Help me reach the Trident, and I'll make sure that your name comes first on the headlines."
>>24321473Petrificus the ball of lard first.
>>24321473>otherStart crying. It's either that or start blasting and I'd rather not go dark power
>>24321473Petrificus totalus Maud. I think Charles is too scared of us to do anything.
>>24321473>>I trusted you, Maud! Do you realise what you’ve done to me?and >other"n-now I also know how to feel unwanted, are you happy that you devastated a mind of 11 years old girl?"
>>24321510Fuck it. Going with this.
>>24321473...Fuck it.Fuck her, fuck Nathanial, fuck the Trident of Salazar fucking Slytherin.Lets stick our wand in the air and shoot as bright and intense sparks as we can. Bright enough that anyone looking out a window will see them.It doesn't matter if the people who show up be allies or enemies.I'm so done with this.
>>24321473>>Use expelliarmus or petrificus totalusKILL THEM ALL.Non-lethally.
>>24321473>Use expelliarmus or petrificus totalusPetrificus Totalus on Maud. Charles will be too scared to fight if we take out Maud. Then we can question her later.
>>24321544Now this is an idea...
>>24321503I'm going to have to watch this show, aren't I?It looks awesome
>>24321473>I trusted you, Maud! Do you realise what you’ve done to me?>Use expelliarmus or petrificus totalussay it and then start shooting binding spells at them.
>>24321544And Maud and Charlie will be gone with the Trident long before anyone arrives.
Rolled 40Roll 1d100 for casting. I'll roll against you.
>>24321544This is actually an awesome idea. Just a general cry for help.
Rolled 60>>24321586Remember our bonuses.
Rolled 51>>24321586We still have our wand reroll right?
Rolled 55>>24321586We're nailing her hard.
>>24321534this then give her your robe as a peace offering. If she wants the damned robe so much, she can have it.
Rolled 19>>24321586Wait what?
>>24321510Sure, why not.
Rolled 54Roll 2d100 Expelliarmus.
Rolled 89, 23 = 112>>24321637
Rolled 41, 9 = 50>>24321637The hell is this.
Rolled 22, 97 = 119>>24321637
Rolled 63, 75 = 138>>24321637
>>24321625rename that file to:NotUnderstandingJoke.jpg
>>24321651First roll was for initiative. And this is for the actual cast/counter-cast of spells.
>>24321675Aptly-named, it seems.
>>24321544That was my original plan soooo......Yes>>243210971I don' get the mentality of "You have to explain", you don't have to explain shit, suspicion was always there. The thing that is important; are you okay with putting Maud into the list of unforgivables? That, you cannot retcon. If too late, please simply ignore
Rolled 55, 83 = 138>>24321796salazar is right its your fucking quest to do what you want with in the end.
>>24321849He just wanted to know, sure he can do what he wants but if everyone leaves because Maud's an antagonist (like I will) then it might be even less fun.
Lets move forward guys and get this situation figured out. Millie can take it.
>>24321888No. No she can't.Especially since Maud isn't even the final boss.
Rolled 5No more talking, a familiar rages fills you from the inside, the pressure building until you can’t contain yourself anymore. “I hate you!” you shout “Expelliarmus!”Charles and Maud volley their spells as spells are blasted at you to little effect, you brush them out of the way and send them both hurtling onto their backs. “My wand!” shouts Charles as his wands snaps in two. Maud manages to keep a grip on her wand and stands again, her hair ruffled and her wand raised ready to attack. “Stop!” shouts Nathaniel from across the forest, quickly approaching with his arms raised. “I’ll take you all to the Trident” he says “Please”Maud, for the time being, lowers her wand. >Wait>Continue to attack Maud>other
Maud is under Imperius right now and this is all a lie right?...Right?
>>24321926>Attack NathanielThis all? All this? This guy's fault. Now he's trying to stop us? We're going full rage ball at this point, let's expelliarmus everything and sort the rest out later.
>>24321888If Maud is a straight up traitor, between that, the Unforgivable, and the isolation Millie will be unplayable for anything but a Dark sociopath. It was bad enough ignoring the chorus of "We're broken now, lets jump off the slippery slope instead of trying to recover" when it was BS. If this goes through they will be right.
>>24321926There is no way we will be able or willing to stop at this point. >attack
>>24321926Who gives a shit about the fucking Trident.>Continue to attack Maud
>>24321926>“Stop!” shouts Nathaniel from across the forest, quickly approaching with his arms raised."I made it! I can take it all from you, Nathaniel."This sort of rage?
>>24321926You can keep your shit
>>24321926Point our wand to the sky."Give me one good reason why I shouldn't put on a fireworks show so big that the whole bloody school will come down to see what the commotion is."
>>24321926>other"You. Don't think that I've forgotten about you, Nathaniel. Deliver the Trident, or I will make sure that you will wish that you had never continued on as a ghost."
>>24321952>>24321986Our earlier dreams of being 11 year old female Indiana Jones have been crushed.
>>24321978>>24321954you either want to play a sociopath or you don't pick one. Don't say that its pointless not too and just give in.
Rolled 48>>24321926Continue going on Maud."This isn't about Slytherin's trident Nathaniel, I'm growing tired of your game."
>>24322002I still like the fireworks display idea.
>>24321926"I don't care about the trident, I care about them stealing my hard work, I care about my sisters betrayal, I care about finding my damn cat, and I care about denying these two their ill gotten gains,"
>>24321926>wait and go with him
>>24322011Except it really is the only option that makes sense now. Before it didn't, but now we have just had our heart crushed by one of the only two or three people we have trusted.
>>24322056Plus how could we trust anyone ever again, if we fell victim to so complete and total a deception? This makes what Bergle did look like a childish prank, and we STILL carry the scars from that.
>>24322030I am starting to like it as well.>>24322056literally the only thing that will make me drop this quest is playing a blatantly evil character
>>24322096Well too fucking late.Welcome to the dark side.
>>24322051Going with this now.
>>24322051That's a good line.Seriously, why the fuck would they take Tara.
>>24322089We're pretty invested into Olivia in terms of trust, I think.
>>24322096I don't think we're going to be evil.I DO think that we are going to have MAJOR trust issues for life."I know I can trust you Olivia, but I don't know if someone has you under a spell!"
>>24322051I like it. My vote's here.
>>24322131It is a good line! Come to us, guys! Come!
>>24322107We are not going dark side. We are retaliating out of anger and grief which does carry that risk, but we're a little justified in this.
>>24321926Just break down.Cry the unmanliest of tears.
>>24322051Voting for this too.
>>24322051>>24322002Maybe combine these?
>>24322165We can do that after this is over.
>>24322089Yeah, pretty much this. We were already pretty paranoid after his shenanigans, and we didn't even give a shit about him. We trusted Maud because that's what felt right (to the point of being confirmed in the divination), so this is not only being betrayed by the person we relied upon the most, but even our own instincts and abilities.
>>24322176with Olivia, the only one we know isn't out to fuck us over.
>>24322149We already have been doing that with polyjuice paranoia after Bergle. After this I don't know how we would even begin to handle it in a way that wouldn't make dumblewaiters leave.
>>24322190If we can still trust her.Fuck at this rate, even if we do trust her I don't see us opening up to literally anyone else.We might just go back to Elise and disregard humanity.
Rolled 75"I don't care about the trident, I care about them stealing my hard work, I care about my sisters betrayal, I care about finding my damn cat, and I care about denying these two their ill gotten gains,"You keep your wand raised ready for trouble, keeping Maud and Charles in sight. “Follow me” he saysHe walks off into the forest, Maud follows first, Charles second with you in the rear. “Any trouble and I’ll shoot fireworks into the sky” you say “I understand” he says, looking over his shoulder, still enamored by his own body. You continue on through the forest for several minutes before you come up to a small meadow. “It’s there” he says, pointing to a patch of earth where no flowers have grown. “Well?” says Maud, eagerly “What now?”“We dig”“Fine” Maud says, pointing her wand at the ground. “Bombarda!”The meadow explodes underfoot as dirt kicks up in a ploom, your ears ring from the shock. When the dirt settles you see the whole in the earth leads deeper. A tunnel. >You first Nathaniel>You First Charles>You first Maud>I’ll go first
>>24322236"Nathaniel fist, Maud, second, me third, Chalres last.Any objections?"
>>24322236>send the ghost man in then maud and then charles.
>>24322262Wow, that is some impressively bad spelling. How'd I even manage that?
>>24322236>You First CharlesI just think it's fun to pick on the guy.Otherwise>You first Nathaniel
>>24322236Wait, how did the two actions we decided on lead to us still letting Nathaniel lead us into the woods?
>>24322236>You first NathanielAnd be ready to Petrificus Totalus everyone. >>24322194You act as if this isn't a setting where shapechanging potions and mind-altering and controlling spells aren't an easily acquirable reality. There has always been the danger of anyone we meet either having been polyjuiced, imperioused, or had their memories re-arranged so that they believe that they were our hidden enemy all along, instead of actually being a brainwashed ally.
>>24322236let maud go first since she has a torch, followed by charles then nathaniel. we'll bring up the rear. the fact that this is the order in which I trust them is entirely coincidental
>>24322295Because plot needs to move forward. Which I welcome, honestly. Get this over with and try to make some actually happy memories for our first year in Hogwarts.
>>24322322I 2nd this
>>24322341Happiness?Happiness, much like trust, is dead.
>>24322236Yeah no.Expelliarmus our sister, since Charles is currently wandless.
>>24322374oh god please shut the fuck up
Rolled 50Laptop died. Rewriting what I lost -__-
>>24322295>"I don't care about the Trident, just stopping them from getting it">Let's stop attacking them and go find the Trident togetherWell you see, it follows because... er...Who even cares at this point?
Rolled 65>>24322236I don't trust either of these. Nathaniel first, then charles, then maud, then you.Maud is the most dangerous one, so we have to be able to hit her first. Charles is second dangerous, but he's got a broken wand, thus the more space between us the better. Nathaniel is a non-combatant and guide.
>>24322483>Laptop died.I think Millicent is still cursed.
>>24322483And it begins...
>>24322341>>24322492The last time this happened was when Joel stepped up to spur us into action, which OP openly admits was a mistake.
Rolled 100You send Nathaniel in first followed by Charles, then Maud, and then you hop down into the tunnel with them. Maud uses her wand to illumiate the darkness, the walls feeling tight and closing in on you. You are led deeper and deeper until the walls became damp with moisture, stale air filling your lungs. Charles whimpers to himself over his broken wand, Maud gives a sigh of exasperation and tells him to pull himself together. For a wizard to lose his wand is like having his arm taken from him.You are led so deep inside that you can only assume that you are close, or perhaps beneath, the school lake. Something which makes your stomach tense with worry. After what seems like a very long time you come up to a larver cavern that stretches on into the dark, the size of it unknowable. Ahead you can see something glowing...The green hue of the Trident of Salazar Slytherin.“There is is!” exclaims Maud “At last!”Roll 1d100
Rolled 46>>24322600And no action?
Rolled 80>>24322600"Wait, I thought your motive was to make me suffer?"
>>24322626the roll determies something that we see or something that happens we have to roll before we react
Rolled 92>>24322638Anon, leave and get fucked. Don't like it? Get lost. I'm only replying to trips from now on. Sue me.
>>24322658...You'd be better of stopping responding to anyone. Take a hiatus.
>>24322658Um I think he meant that as what Millie says aloud...
>>24322706Go eat a dick.
Rolled 58You feel a strong sense of unease within the cavern as you and the others move with careful trepidation towards the Trident. Maud turns to Charles. “Go get it” she says Charles looks to you with puppy dog eyes which glint like diamond rings in the darkness. >No, You get it. >No, I’ll get it. >Say nothing and let him go ahead>other
>>24322719Apparently, OP is no longer accepting criticism.Or having our actions matter.
>>24322732"Nathaniel, if there are any traps or wards around that Trident that you haven't told us about, I'm going to let you experience the joy of being lit on fire."
>>24322732Nathaniel get it. It might be trapped, and though we are mad, I don't think we want to send a wandless Charles to his death. And I don't trust Maud to get it when we don't know what power it has.
Rolled 65>>24322732I think chubby has suffered enough for right now. Make Maud get it.
>>24322732use levitation spell? after all this stuff could be cursed or something
>>24322732Get it ourselves
>>24322732Having him go first -might- be a good idea because he'll set traps off first, on the other hand if he gets through he'll have the tridentI feel like we should get nate to grab it for usCaptcha: Eldest liars. heh
>>24322766Oh wait, I forgot something.
>>24322732>other"Nathaniel. You're the one already dead; you go and trigger whatever traps are here. You have a body that can take the damage. Do it, or you'll wish you'd never taken a body that can feel pain again."
>>24322732>Say nothing and let him go aheadEven if he's a pawn of someone, I still hate him. Be ready to jinx him if the trident gives him great and terrible powers.
>>24322732>Say nothing and let him go ahead>>24322743You guys have been bashing on him for a while now.>>24322768Nathaniel can't get it. He's a ghost.
>>24322804>Nathaniel can't get it. He's a ghost.He has a body now though.
>>24322804>Nathaniel can't get it. He's a ghost.Which was true until he entered the mannequin. He's now in a physical body that gives him tactile feedback and is physically corporeal.
>>24322813RIGHT. Carry on then.
>>24322732nathan should get it
>>24322658OP needs a break
Alright, OP ignores near-unanimous preference for retcon, ignores the fact that no one cared about the Trident and forced us to follow along after a couple of throwaway lines. and now this?I'm out.
>>24322871my thoughts exactly
Rolled 92>>24322886See ya.
Rolled 841) Nathaniel 2) Charles
>>243229141 all the way
>>243229141.He's already dead, he can't die again. And the mannequin body should be able to take more punishment than that of a 1st year.
Rolled 43>>243229141 for me.
>>24322914>1) NathanielWe already tortured charles and he's unarmed, we're at least making an attempt not to be a monster
>>243229142)A little late to the party and just wanted to say keep up the good work HP, love your writing.
>>24322886one less evil millie supporter i have to deal with.
Rolled 35>>243229141charles right now is about the wimpiest wreck around. Making him grab it is sure to land us in azkaban.
Rolled 89You keep quiet and say nothing as Nathaniel gives a mechanical gulp and heads off in the direction of the Trident. Maud flicks her wand and has a ball of light follows him overhead as he walks deeper and deeper inside. As Nathaniel makes it mid-way towards the Trident, reaching a steep incline, a torrent of what sounds like squeaky chuckles come from the darkness. “What was that?!” says Charles, backing away towards the exit. >Who’s there?!>Maud, use your wand to illuminate what’s over there>We should go back>Charles hurry up and grab it>other
>>24323027>Who’s there?!>Maud, use your wand to illuminate what’s over therewand at the ready for some stun dealing
>everything in this thread right now
>>24323027>>otherHouse elves, darn. we need to move to cover, the others can panic and get zapped. Can you protego other people? if so, we should keep nathaniel safe if we can
Rolled 68Hey Op, just a little constructive and non-hateful criticism. I think you should number our options the first time so we can save you and us some hassle. And to those saying "Hope is lost", remember that it's ultimately up to us to make good or bad of the situation.
>>24323027>otherUse our own wand to generate light to illuminate whoever's laughing. It'll put us in a better position to cast offensively of we have to.
>>24323027"Charles, just... go home. Your wand's broken and neither my sister nor I have much interest in protecting you."
>>24323027>Maud, use your wand to illuminate what’s over there>Who’s there?!
Rolled 3>>24323099I'll give it a try. Thanks.
Rolled 25>>24323115Good idea.
>>24323115not a good plan, he'll tell people we're here out of spitealso, there's bad stuff and it's dark. he is in danger of being eaten by a grue
>>24323144true he is a no good rotten slytherin
Oh boy this is getting interesting!
>>24323027>>24323027I don't get it.What are we exactly doing? Will we get Trident and simply walk away, disregarding the thing in the dark? Why and what?I only get that we are suffering the existence of Maud because Nathaniel
Rolled 17>>24323144What do we care if he tells people we're here? We half planned on doing that ourselves with sending the sparks?
>>24323188You really captured the despair. The expression is just screaming "Fuck everything, I'm done."
>>24323144>>24323177Wait, why would we not want anyone to know we're here?Unless we plan on making this cavern our new home, we're going to have to leave with the Trident eventually.
>>24323188Haha, that Charles is great.
>>24323027Charles wanted the thing right, let him go get it.Not like he can stop us from PTing him and taking it back.
>>24323177So's Robert and he's a cool guy, not EVERY slytherin is a dick, just ones with no aspirations besides 'I want to be the best' tend to end up thereI think that's the problem with slytherin, their the dump house, not hufflepuff. Want to do something and have a clear plan of how to get there and willingness to work toward it? hufflepuff. Thirst for knowledge? Ravenclaw. Generic good guy? Gryffindor. Everyone else with any dreams whatsoever but no real talents? Slytherin>>24323215Because about 5 teachers will apparate down here, take the trident in for study and yell at us. again
>>24323188dude you gotta give us that picture but of just millies face. its so perfect.
>>24323188The expressions are great, but Maud's left arm is a little off.
Rolled 77>>24323188I needed this. Thank you.
>>24323247Again, unless we plan on never leaving this cavern, and never allowing anyone else to leave, how is that not exactly what's going to happen when we're done with this nonsense?
>>24322732Nathaniel gets it. Also did anyone else cringe at >“My wand!” shouts Charles as his wands snaps in two.He might be a jerk and a villian but man, thats like booting another man in the nuts... you just dont do it.
Rolled 64>>24323281Preeeeetty much this.
>>24323188Oh man, Millicent's face. Her heat's been crushed and she knows she can't do anything to fix it.
>>24323198Somebody respond pleaseI'm lost
>>24323281Your right, I didn't think that through enough, my apologies
>>24323292S'not like we did it on purpose.
>>24323322Nobody knows.Just go along with it or you're a troll.
>>24323322We just want to get the Trident and get away. If we can grab it without fighting mysterious creatures in the dark, so much the better for us.
>>24323027WELL IT LOOKS LIKE I'M IN TIME.I believe that you have something stored. I believe in yout abilities as a writer. Go ono, beautiful motherfucker 2) "Maud, illuminate what's over there. now, If you please"
>>24323027"Who's there? Show yourself!"Wand at the ready.
>>24323281I still think we should try to transfigure it into some jewelry or something we can hide in plain sight. As long as that is within our ability.
>>24323322Nathaniel is being told to get the Trident for us. We are getting light shined on the thing in the dark because its halfway between us and the Trident. If we can get thwYrident without a fight is best but unlikely.
>>24323366What we'd really like is to get the trident and get away have charles get eaten by mysterious monsters in the darkness, our parents love us, and Maud be like Maud used to be.Trident and Maud would be fine. Still gotta figure out whats going on there, but one thing at a time. Get Charles to grab the Trident, if he can get it and come back safely, Bombarda his mechanical ass to bits then GTFO
>>24323322I think right now our only certainty is the Trident. The only promise not yet broken is that with the trident we will succeed. When we have the trident, we'll be wise enough to sort this out. It's our only fixed point. That goddamn trident. Let's get it, even if to use it only as a skewer for nat+maud.
Rolled 22“Who’s there?!” you shout, more squeaks and scuttling like distant thunder echoes back. You turn to Maud who’s sweating, her clinging to her face, her cool allouf facade cracking. “Maud, use your wand to illuminate the darkness” She takes your cue and sends another ball of light drifting across the cavern, revealing it’s spherical shape. Maud stops the ball just as dozens of little cat-like eyes reflect the light. “Screw this” says Charles, backing away towards the exit. Nathaniel continues his climb, his mechanical body clinking and clanking, orb inside his chest glowing a blue hue. >Stop or let Charles leave>Stop or let Maud continue shining the light towarards the creatures>Stop or let Nathaniel take the Trident>other
>>24323394Will something that powerful accept being transfigured? I don't think so, but if we crit it might. Otherwise I suggest increasing the internal space of our school bag permanently and storing it in there.
>>24323322We did all that work, and now we're making sure that we get the credit for finding the Trident, even if we don't get to keep it. At the very least we don't want Maud and Charles to get credit. As for the thing in the dark, go ahead and make a suggestion.
Rolled 69Just posting some inspiration for our awesome drawfags.
>>24323349>>24323349But, but should not we have a plan or something?>>24323366Okay.But how do we silence two Slytherin student who witnesses this?It is ours by right no teacher or student or any creature will take it from us.We should guarantee this, right>>24323411>The thingRight, what do you think is it?We should discuss the possibilities than execute an action in this situation I think.>Salazar's GuardianWorst case, even the wandless dipshit has more chance than us.What if the artifact is usable by only it's first toucher?
>>24323445>Let Charles leave>Let Maud continue shining the light towarards the creatures>Let Nathaniel take the TridentCould we duplicate the spell to make light?
>>24323445Stop Charles, keep wand ready.
>>24323445Can we roll a knowledge check to identify the eyes? Are they house elves or something we've seen before in the past?
>>24323451lol>>24323445>let>stop >let fucking kobolts
>>24323445I'm conflicted between letting the kid go and stunning him there. If he's stunned and we need to escape we'll have to pick him up because "not evil yet". So Id' say let's go.A beast with dozens eyes? or dozen beasts with one eye?1) Let charles leave2) "Can't you please (stress the please!) shine that light so we can see what's there?"3) let nataniel go onWe need to have our wand at the ready. I expect treacher from anyone at this point, especially maud. 4) WAND LOADED, HEX IN THE CHAMBER
>>24323445Ask Maud if she brought Charles for any particular reason, if not, let him leave.Ask Maud if she knows what those creatures are, and if not keep illuminating them when we point our wand in their direction.Have Nathaniel just stand in front of the Trident and don't touch it yet.I still want to solve his murder, and for all I know that artifact is cursed bad enough to double kill him.
>>24323517Or, you know, they're bats.
>>24323473>But how do we silence two Slytherin student who witnesses this?We could probably just threaten Charles, since he's so afraid of us. After we get out with the Trident we can have a big confrontation with Maud.
>>24323445do not let Charles leave, splitting up would be bad. He's a jerk but we're not going to just let someone dieLet maud keep shining a light at them. most stuff that lives in pitch black shies away from light if it can see it, we might keep them at bay.We probably want to get to the trident first because I've thought of something worrying. The cup of helga hufflepuff sustained you, exemplifying her virtue of perseverance. the sword of godric gryffindor allowed the brave to defend others. the diadem of rowena ravenclaw made the wearer incredibly wise. the trident of salazar slytherin the magical racist probably makes terrible, awful things happenWhatever else happens, we probably shouldn't let anyone but a pure blood touch it and even then, treat it like we're suddenly playing dark heresy
>>24323445>Wingardium the trident>GTFOWho cares what these things are? Grab the loot and leave. Let Charles hang for a moment, or leave, whatever, we run faster than him.Why do we give fucks about these, y'know, fucks? We can take care of ourselves, and if we have the trident then finder's keepers.
>>24323552Maud's the slytherin, not us. We can be better than thatEven now, there is hope for man
>>24323482>>Let Charles leaveNo.Just no.>Let Maud continue shining the light towards the creaturesYes. But what are they? What if light >Let Nathaniel take the Tridentsee>>24323473>Petrify CharlesIt is about time, isn't it?
>>24323529but thats'... quite reasonable.I bet on beholder.
>>24323536That seems plausible.>>24323572>What if light What if light attracts/enrages them?
>>24323591Just putting it out there to say 'I told you so' if I'm right.
>>24323541You're making me paranoid bro. We know that the Trident boosts intelligence, but now I worried what will happen if anyone else gets it.>>24323572>>Let Charles leaveI figured if he wants to go there's no reason to stop him. He can't jump us because he doesn't have a wand, and then we don't have to worry about him.

>>24324266Nah, she's lowered herself to the status of "unlovable cunt" for quite a while after this.
Rolled 37You know this! All that time researching the Trident had led you onto a piece of valuable information you didn’t realise might save your life at the time. These are Enchanted Golemns; used by Witches and Wizards to protect what they hold dear, commonly they move in the darkness as if they were made of flesh and bone, able to survive indefinately in darkness. >>24324725>>Take the Trident and get the hell out of the cavernAfter all the bullshit we've been put through. Just take it. We know we aren't evil as presumed to be.
>>24324770Don't think Millie's pure enough?
>>24324725take it and do this http://www.hark.com/clips/bxdmzsnvxc-jock-start-the-engines
Rolled 2>>24324725Cover it with your coat/robe, then take it.
>>24324790Fuck no! We cast an unforgivable curse! You can't cast an unforgivable curse and be pure.
>>24324802Wait, shit. Scratch that. It probably means pure blooded... hmm.
>>24324725Take it, but I think we should have taken Maud's hand. This venomous rage that filled us when we were betrayed by our kin has left a stain upon us, we are now less pure for it. Walk back to her trident in hand, and ask her if the stick was worth it. If she says yes, trade it for her wand and leave her in the dark. If no...
>>24324802That was Cambodian dark magic stuck inside us. We're all good now.
>>24324725Take It. It is our Destiny. We'll die and our skeleton will be in the camber forever
Guys Salazaar wasn't some evil bad dude, just take it, if we're pure enough (whether by blood or by soul) nothing happens.
>>24324802But we regretted doing it. Hell. We took our punishment.
>>24324802Sure you can.
>>24324821I think it means "pureblood", Salazar wasn't the kind of person to have made an item for the pue of hearth (he left a basilisk in a castle full of kids, after all)
>>24324802Voldy cast that shit all the time and he still figured he was pure.
>>24324725...We take it together, Maud and us each put one hand on the Trident.
>>24324821Oh, damn. I like that.
>>24324834He was basically magical hitler, yo.
Take it. Hold it properly.Seriously, this will be our only chance to use it: We shouldn't miss our chance out of fear.
>>24324875Exactly, and Hitler did nothing wrong.
>>24324868Fuck Maud.>>24324821See above.
>>24324827No, that was our wild magic doing what we felt like doing because we lost control of it without the dark magic there any more.
>>24324868seriously? no. what the fuck? seh betrayed not an hour ago, afterlying for a year. she can die here. she's not our sister. this is our trident. we went thru hell for this. fuck her.
>>24324770You make it sounds like the Hand of Midas
>>24324854Yeah, but he was cunning bastard was he not?The pure of heart would not be seeking this out most likely, the pureblood mainly slytherins would seek an artifact of power, so what a twist, a last spite it would be for him to curse it to affect purebloods and not pure of soul
>>24324898No, that was the Dark Magic that was holding back our Wild Magic abilities finally being expunged.
>>24324821I vote for this
>>24324818It Ravenclaw's trident, not Salazar's staff of mudblood rape
>>24324821No, fuck you. This is our trident. We're not just GIVING IT to the woman who betrayed us literally minutes ago. MINUTES. Get in character nigga.
>>24324916...why would he curse a Slytherin, when He was the first and foremost believer that alla Slytherin would be pureblood and hence perfect wizs?
>>24324953No, fuck. Two threads ago we discovered it was the Trident of Salazar Slytherin.
Just take the damn thing. Nothing extra. If it really can grant us super knowledge or wisdom I'd rather wait to have it to make any more decisions.
>>24324974Well it seems like it was made by Salazar as a gift for Rowena. So it's both of theirs.
Rolled 20>>24325017Using your filthy robe your reach your hand out and wrap your fist around the Trident. It’s cool to the touch but otherwise is seemingly unremarkable, you yank it from it’s position in the ground...still nothing. “Anything?” says Maud, looking over her shoulder up at you. You appraise the Trident, it’s light weight, sharp points, made from some sturdy wood and iron...but is really quite disappointing to say the least. You step down from the steep earth and make your decline with Nathaniel. “Does it do anything?” asks Charles, stepping forward, shoulders hunched. >It doesn’t seem all that special, we should leave> other
>>24324919No, that was us losing control of our magic.Dark Cambodian curses don't help you and do what you want them to. They curse you.
>>24324958Trading the trident for the wand is likely a death sentence to Maud. We can come back and grab it later, and if she does make it out, we still have her wand.
Rolled 49>>24325038Look at the gargoyles.
>>24325038Touch it with our bare hand.
>>24325038"Nothing. ...Hey Nathaniel, didn't you say you died down here? Shouldn't your bones be lying around here?"
>>24325038>> otherI'm sorry, I have no idea how it worksGrab it with our bare hand and study itI don't -think- it'll kill us now
>>24325038>It doesn’t seem all that special, we should leaveCloser examinations when we're not in imminent danger of death.
>>24325038>It doesn’t seem all that special, we should leaveWe can wait until we're safe.
>>24325017and we are Slytherin's Gift to Ravenclaw.>>24325038"What did you expect?"touch itI know you wanted to save us by letting us take it and not dying bu I want to touch it
>>24325038>inb4 giant rolling boulder>IT DOES NOTHING YOU NEED TO BE CONCERNED WITH SHITSTAIN NOW LETS GO.
>>24325017I'd like to introduce you to a little thing called Sarcasm, or perhaps IRONY. Don't trust it just because it has nice words written on it.
>>24325038>It doesn’t seem all that special, we should leaveThis isn't Rowena's Trident, so no, it doesn't increases your intelligence. By wielding it. It's nothing more but a gift to one founder to another. A memento.
>>24325085>>24325090These>>24325126>and we are Slytherin's Gift to Ravenclaw.YEAH we are!
>>24325038No one has actually touched it yet.Still in favor of>>24324821If she refuses, we know that she's either a coward and a cunt too scared to take it, or she really is sorry. If she takes it, she can fucking die. Because whats she gonna do against a double PT.When we get back to the castle, she tried to get to the trident ahead of us, and almost made it, you found her, but you brought back the trident and her wand. Someone older and more experienced with dead people can drag her ass outta there.
>>24325169>>24325126>>24325017Come ooon guys. Really?
Rolled 53>>24325197>>24324821Who wants this? Pretty cool ultimatum.
>>24325238I'd rather just get the hell out.
>>24325238I don't want to give the trident to Maud. I especially don't want to give it to her in exchange for her wand. I mean we're MAD at her yeah, we might beat the living shit out of her later, but we don't want her DEAD for fuck's sake.
>>24325238Sounds like you have something planned that relates to this. I'm all for it now.
>>24325238...this is going to go REALLY badly but sure, works for me
>>24325248Second, but do it if Maud enters Ultra-Cunt mode.
>>24325238I think it's a bad idea. I'd rather just leave and study it later.
>>24325248Yeah, this. Those golems give me the heebie-jeebies. Let's just get out.
>>24325238Sure whatever.Maybe it'll give her incentive to explain herself.
>>24325238Just seeing how she would react would give us some insight, and it's not like we'd actually have to hand it over.
>>24325238Definitely not. I want to keep the Trident, and we don't want to kill Maud, no matter how angry we are.
>>24325238We should pic related now that we have the trident.
>>24325238woah woah.I hate her, but I don't want her dead by golems, I want her alive, able to bask in my glory. Let's just get the hell away.
>>24325260yeah, kind of this.
>>24325260I share this sentiment.
Rolled 20>>24325311Everyone for getting the FUCK OUT. Say aye!
>>24325334Aye aye, Cap'n!!
>>24325311>>24325319>>24325333We don't have to actually hand over the trident. >>24325294Anon there is right. Just her reaction is all we're looking for, and if she gives us her wand more power to us.
>>24325334Lets just get this over with.
>>24325334Aye. I still think we should touch it properly, though. Just in case.
>>24325363>Whats a nameA MISERABLE PILE OF TRIPS
>>24325392But enough talk... have at you!
>>24325334iStill think we should ask her...
>>24325334Aye. Whatever we plan to do, it can be done outside where we won't be attacked by murderous golems if any of us loses control of their light spells, of which Maud's is the one keeping the most golems deactivated.
