Hey /tg/, tonight we're building ourselves a dungeon to stop those PC assholes from getting our riches/bitches/tomb/artefact (and kill them if possible. >You choose a room>You think up of a monster, trap, furniture, sarcophagus, door, etc and post it (one per post)>I'll draw everything you write and update the dungeon every 20 minutes>We end up with funny stuff
Clear gelatinous cube filling a section of hall A, right as they round the corner to enter the dungeon.
Inside the gelatinous cube is a rust monster
>>23620098What level encounter?
This in room B.
>>23620098In corridor A, there are hinging wall-traps, like spike walls that drop out and pin PCs against the walls so the get crushed and stabbed. Except, instead of spikes, it's boxing gloves. It's a semi-harmless trap designed to make them lower their guard.
Section C:A dinner room with a cracking fireplace. The table is set vertically on the room, filled with food. A corpse sits on the other side, dressed in tuxedo and a top hat. Soft jazz is playing from somewhere.
If the hallway between room 'c' and 'd' is hidden:Room 'c' looks to be the end of the seemingly short dungeon. The small hall between room 'b' and 'c' has a pressure plate trap that, when activated, pushes the hall closed trapping/crushing whoever is inside. Once in room 'c' you notice a pedestal with a small chest on it. The chest is slightly ajar and glowing. Walking up to the chest will trigger another pressure plate trap that releases a toxic gas. If you are able to dodge/disarm this trap the act of moving the chest makes the ceiling start to lower. There is a safe spot in front of the hidden door and once the ceiling is completely down, the door will slide open. The ascetics of the room mirror the eloquence of a castle, marble floor with a rug leading up to the pedestal, marble blocks for walls, and a nice heavy marble ceiling. There are decorative pillars along the edge of the room but they are fake and will crumble under the weight of the ceiling. (am I doin' it right?)
>>23620293>asceticsHow does it feel to have an inferior grasp of the English language compared to >>>/fit/?
>>23620098The door between C and D is dusty, iron-bound oak at least three inches thick, with rusted hinges on the left and a heavy, locked latch-style knob on the right. In reality, the door swings on well-oiled hidden hinged on the right, and only requires pressing a certain bolt on the false hinges to spring open. If the latch is turned, or anything inserted into the keyhole, a trap triggers, dropping about 50 dessicated and very dead vipers on the party, along with a note in kobold about picking up more mice at the store.
The hallway from D to E is a set of wooden stairs. That'll take care of any Space Marines.
In cell D there are male trolls who have been kept in captivity with a muzzle over their genitalia for twenty years. Upon opening the door, the muzzles are unlocked and fall off. Then they have a fun little tea party and talk about the weather and what the princess wore to the ball last night. I mean seriously, did you see her? slut.
>>23620098Room E features a group of skeletons arranged around a small table, smoking and playing cards. If approached cautiously, the dealer skeleton (complete with cheroots and one of those green visor thingies) taps a small sign that names the game and the hefty buy-in (300 gold pieces). Each card has an explosive rune printed on it. Skeletons can't read, and are thusly safe.
>>23620098Room B has a large entity, at least 10 feet tall, covered in a tatted robe and bellowing warnings. It's actually three kobolds on each other's shoulders. They scurry off if discovered.
>>23620322Sorry bro, posting from my phone.
>>23620417Speaking of, does anyone remember that list of random encounters that featured the weird kobolds who would always try to watch the party do odd, vaguely fetish-y stuff? Like the party would catch them trying to watch them pee, or try to convince them to do a fashion show, or throw rotten food at them and just... stare?
Hallway A is filled with broken Bear Traps!
>>23620375We got a winner
>>23620098The entrance to room E is actually an illusion. In its place is a one-way portal to the Abyss.
I finished this one >>23620282And as of now the dungeon looks like this.
>>23620619Love it. Love you, OP
In room D, put in a bunch of monster girl orphans who all want to be adopted by the PCs.Just do it.
>>23620619Lions hiding in the wall!
a huge useless red button on the north wall of section D
>>23620619Between rooms B and C there is a haughty maitre d' who demands to see the party's reservations. He is impeccably dressed, and can cast Wall of Force at will. Next to him is a small podium featuring the guest book and a slate sandwich board advertising Today's Specials as "Chateaubriand," "Your Doom," and "Vichyssoise."
If they actually manage to get to room E, there is an atropal.
A Big Red Button that says "DO NOT PUSH!"It is the only thing in the room and it is on the center of the floor. It is obvious the button is rigged to something, but you can't tell what.
>>23620738Next to the button is a neatly-folded clown costume, two amphorae of wine (one half-empty), an a tall, fluted glass full of teeth. A DC 25 Heal or Knowledge (Nature) check will reveal that they are most certainly humanoid in origin.
A large pile of gold coins is in the corner of one of the rooms. Orcs have been using the pile as a urinal and the coins fucking stink to high heaven, and are unsanitary as fuck. And they're not really gold, just brass fakes.
Awakened Colossal Sphere of Annihilation
One room needs to hold a Psionic Sandwich.
>>23620322You're seriously still running around pulling that kiddies first trolling technique bullshit?
At the end of Room D, facing the entrance from C, is a statue that looks like this, holding a bow, and will shoot at the first creature to walk in.
>>23620619The Armbird is the mount of an Awakened horseshoe crab cavalier. However, he is currently stuck in his tank and unable to get at his tiny (yet adorable) lance.
>>23620841>kiddies>not 'kiddy's'Nah, just fucking with ya. Yeah, he is babby trolling.
At the end of A and the beginning of B put in a revolving door that rotates in the opposite direction as the direction you try to walk through it.
Room D has a corium floor, anyone who stands on it (or flies over it) gets a whole body absorbed radiation dosage of 4 Gy per turn.
>>23620098At the beginning of the dungeon put one of those things you see in a car wash that comes down to wash the car that goes PATTAPATTAPATTA and as the PCs walk through hoses come out of the walls and spray cold water and soap and wax all over them as the thing cleans them.
Door between B and CIt has a sphinx type guardian in the door and will only open to the password. Guessing wrong causes the door to fart on you with the smell of rotten eggs and fish. Very strong gag worthy smell in enough volume that the entire dungeon is contaminated with it for days. There is no password, the door does or doesn't open randomly no matter what is said
In the doorway to room D there is a tripwire linked up to a large crossbow. The crossbow is positioned in the back of the longer end of the room so that it hits the wire tripper in the side.It fires large purple dildos.
>>23620293Try my best but I had to drop the whole marble thing.>>23620324Oak door and viper pit done.>>23620367The chain attached to their crotch is magic. It disappear when the door is open.
At the end of it all, right before they get teh loot,>Rocks fall, you die.If they choose to disbelieve, give them a will save and if they succeed, they're alive - but the chest they open for "Sick lewts, brah!" reveals only a sign that reads, "Your loot is in another dungeon. I prepared explosive runes this morning."
>>23621017Dude, Room E. Atropal.
>>23621100I'm not there yet anon.
>>23621100I nominate the Atropal is playing cards, too.
>>23621146Fair enough.But when you do...
>>23621171>>23621146>>23621100It's an Atropal scion, it challenges the party to a game of poker.
>>23621017On the other side of room D needs to be a large treasure chest. A very large treasure chest. Inside this chest is an Orb of Winter. Which when removed from the chest it casts a high level frost spell on anyone within a certain distance. Then then chest awakens as a giant Mimic.
I propose this as either a final boss or high level enemy.
>>23621171With a lych, a death knight, and a Quell
Either room B or E. Shirime hiding in a treasure chest.Pic related kinda.
Room B looks a little bare. How about we make the floor out of lava, and arrange a series of pillars that you'll have to jump across to through. They will each, of course, have a unique trap.
>>23621210>>23621195The butt-eye is the Orb of Winter. The mimic demands that the orb be returned to its proper place.
>>23621017In the final room put a big ass heart shaped mirror, because the reward was true love all along.
>>23621229There should be a chest hidden behind the mirror. The chest is a mimic designed to teach people a lesson about not respecting the value of the reward being true love.
>>23621223It's like that trap out of that horrible book of traps. The 'every piller is either greased up, fake, extends to the ceiling with a magical wall or acts like a scale and when one goes down another goes up' trap.
>>23621248Behind the Mimic is another heart-shaped mirror. This mirror is also a mimic.
>>23621229>>23621262>>23621271Poker atropal is better.
>>23621254Or shoots up and smooshes the adventurer against the ceiling. >>23621262Assorted stones used in the construction are mimics. The boxing gloves in the first trap are mimics. The party is mimics
>>23621285This is all behind Poker Atropal.
>>23621017The stairs are a mimic. Underneath it is an acid pit. The wall behind it is 10 feet high, made of volcanic glass, and has no handholds.
portal to hell, skeleton card party and bear traps done.
>>23621300close enough i guess.
>>23621285Poker skeletons are better, because it's innocuous.Actually, here's an idea: the final room is like one fucked-up speakeasy. A lich playing the piano in the corner while an atropal in a slinky evening gown hovers and sings, poker skeletons, and a death knight barman. The secret knock is "shave-and-a-haircut."
>>23621323Poker skeletons came before the atropal. I think >>23621345 has the right idea, though.
>>23621345Could we get a hoboish dracula passed out on the stairs?
>>23621366Singing "Brother Can You Spare a Dime"?Hell yes.A little sign that says "Anything Helps Pelor Bless" at his feet.
>>23621345A reanimated cyclops bouncer named Uno."Uno don't like tiny adventurers. Uno told not to let 'em in 'less theys know the secret knock."What makes Uno unique, however, is the fact that he is having marriage problems and just wants people to accept him for who he is. His father is also struggling with thyroid cancer, and he feels like his son is slipping away from him.
>>23621311that toon was fucking wonderful.
Hallway between A and B. 20 foot long trap hole. Wall of force 10 feet in.
>>23621199>codename translates to "Storm"This should be good.
>>23621363You're right about this one.>>23621345
>>23621199You mean as the player's new best friend, right? It's a dog, man. It probably just wants to wrestle with someone, or play fetch.
>>23621399>mfwGonna be stealin' this idea, thanks.
Between A and B there needs to be fish-spike traps. They're like spike traps, except they stab people with fish.
This is one of the best things I've ever seen on /tg/.
>>23621512Fresh Fish. Caught daily.
>>23621498>>23621512>>23621528A mix of frozen fish, live fish, and fish sticks!
>>23621531By the merfolk who live inside of the dungeon's water-filled walls. That's right, the walls are full of water.
Above the pressure plates, there is a conga line of roaches walking on the ceiling. They are, in fact, doing the conga, and are essentially harmless. One of them is a transvestite, not that most adventurers are likely to notice. They are enchanted, but only with a command insect spell that forces them to do the conga. Hopefully this will distract the adventurers so that they trigger the pressure plates without noticing them.
>>23621455 Ohh, even better. Overly friendly Lassie Golem Guide. Put her near a well in room B or something.
>>23621542Fucking stolen.This is perfect.
Still working through every post.
>>23621629BBEG of this dungeon appears to be stark raving mad.
>>23621629This is amazing. You are amazing. Best Dungeon ever.
>>23621399Uno leaned on the worn wood of the bar as Gah'hrak the Deathless, Baron of Blackwood cleaned a glass with a rag. It had been a long night, and Uno was drinking his pay. Again. The cheap whiskey burned as it trickled down his putrefied esophagus. He sighed as he doodled in the spilled beer on the bartop."Uno don't know anymore. What can Uno do? Ever since Une left, Uno life just big mess." Gah'hrak's cold, soulless eyes flicked towards the undead cyclops as he held the glass up to the light. "Thou seeketh council, or a list'ning ear?" Uno didn't look up from the bartop. Gah'hrok stared out across the bar, to where Urglkz finished her set, crooning into the amplifying crystal, and said "Verily, I am an unlikely font of wise words, but if thou wish, I shall tell ye: Uno needs must take care of Uno, first and foremost. All the rest will follow."Uno nodded slowly. The alcohol had kicked in, and Uno settled into the comfortable fuzz that he seemed to rely on more and more. Tomorrow, before work, Uno vowed that he would go by his father's hovel and talk things out. Polyphemus simply wanted to make sure his son was carrying on the pride of their tribe, but the cancer was moving so fast. Uno remembered the last time he saw his father, four weeks ago though they lived only a few leagues from each other. The old cyclops had been stick-thin, laying in bed and wincing at every breath. Uno had been avoiding what had been, until recently, weekly dinners.>cont
>>23621637You say that like it isn't awesome.
>>23621100I vote the atropal is a soul trader.>Has its aura suppressed and speaks in a horrible low growling voice, but with perfect manners. May turn it's aura on at will.>Voice has a suggestion and charm effect that don't have maximum HD affected. Party members affected can't attack it.>It asks for permanent con damage or permanent wis damage as payment for powerful items. If no one buys, points will be earned at the rate of once per month.
>>23621642>the feelsI made Uno as a throwaway joke, man. Now...now I'm all sad, man.Keep going. 'Tis beautiful.
>>23621642>>23621727Dear diary, today, anonwriter was not a faggot.>inb4 TLDR
>>23621642Uno remembered how the room had stank, not of wine or roasted meats as it had in his childhood, but of old age and shit and death. His father's face had turned to him, sunken and shriveled eyelids over thin dry lips, and asked how he was, how Une and the kids were.At the memory, Uno began to weep softly. He still felt guilt over the tiny spring of elation that had welled up in his chest when he realized that his father's illness meant that Polyphemus couldn't see how far Uno had fallen. He hated himself for that, for being happy the man who had raised him was dying."But what it matter now," Uno murmured, "Uno already dead. Uno heart already dead." When Une had seen what had happened, had realized that Uno had been killed and raised again, she had taken the kids and gone to her sister's place near Zakaar Keep. Uno wrote letters, every day, but still hadn't heard back from them. He wasn't sure how he could face his family, not with things the way they were. Uno was certain that if he could just patch things up with his father, or Une, everything else would work itself out. He just needed one lucky break.Gah'hrak poured another shot into Uno's glass, and one into a clean glass for himself. They drank together, saying nothing, as Urglkz finished her song. It was a song about loss, and love, and a monster finding its way in the world.Far away, in a room silvered with moonlight, and old, blind cyclops smiled, turned in his sleep, and was still.
>>23621812>manlytears.jpgThank you, anon. Uno shall live forever as my favourite undead minion. You are a great person.
>>23621727>>23621766>>23621852I do what I can, Anons. I do what I can. Let's all have a toast to Uno, a fellow traveler on this road called Life.
>>23621812Undead cyclops becomes paladin, trying to become a living creature once again? That would have so many levels of wrong that the wrong itself would wrap on itself and become awesome.
>>23621884disregard this post, I'm clearly intoxicated at the present time.
>>23621884Undead Cyclops tries to do the right thing but can't catch a break.
>>23621880What makes Uno great is the fact that he is a tragic hero. Life has broken him, killed him, and brought him back just to rub it in his face. He's just a normal guy trying to live a normal life.Fuck, why am I crying?
>>23621934How do you explain to your kid that you can't be there on his first hunt, because the daylight burns your skin and your smell will drive the deer away? How can you look your daughter in the eye and tell her you won't be there to see her get her coming-of-age tattoos because your undead master compels you to work 16-hour shifts? His whole life changed in an instant, and he didn't even have a choice, man.

OP still here?
I had trouble rendering corium floor and I had place your dildo throwing crossbow someplace else. Sorry bro.
>>23622028>dat butt doorAmazing.
>>23621987You don't. You try to hide it under your tough exterior, even when you know your un-life is falling apart all around you. The world is cruel, and you can't do anything about it. You are paralyzed by society and the whims of those more powerful than you. Life sucks, and death even more so.
>>23622028Ah my carwash entrance.
>>23622074They are going to need it after getting shat on by the sphinx door
There's a bookcase in room E that, if read through, has a book that provides information on room E. It talks about a complicated ritual that can be carried out to make a magical chest filled with the most wondrous of items appear that was once sealed away by the creator of the dungeon. If carried out correctly, the chest will appear. It explodes if you open it.You know, just in case,
There are faded hopscotch squares in room B. Looking at them causes the PCs to be overcome with nostalgia and sadness.
I love the VIP room
>>23622261Dogbot is best bot.
Still here, 50% done.
>>23622261I seriously can't stop laughing at this. It's amazing.
>>23622648It's... it's beautiful.
>>23622648Words cannot say how happy this makes me.
>>23622648I love you OP.
>>23622648You do great work OP!Would you like to do this again another day?Could you try to add (in the SW of Room 2) two kobolds, wearing bandannas, playing russian roulette with a gnomish crossbow - like a normal crossbow but with 95% more superfluous gadgetry attached.
>>23622648This is the greatest thing.
>>23622648OP that is pretty badass. You should do this more often
>>23622648Planning on using the finished product as my wallpaper.
>>23622920LolRussian Roulette with a crossbow.
We need something in the bottom corner of Room B.
There!No last minute suggestion?
>>23623015Do we have an end treasure?
>>23623036This doesn't strike me as one of those things with an "end".
>>23623036love and true friendship
>>23623015Dinosaur skeleton in the big blank portion in the top right, clutching the skeleton of an adventurer.
>>23623036The mirror of "The true treasure was friendship"

>>23623056Treasure room loops back to beginning.Entrance is now closed with a sign that says "Remember, you're spelunking here forever"
>>23623015the whole dungeon is a very perverse mimic with a fetish for having adventurers inside.
>>23623080Hidden behind is a huge pile of mimics mimicking real treasure.
>>23623015Need one of pic related in the corner near the hopscotch. Make it of like, the Terrasque or the like. Something big, and nasty.
That adventurer at the beginning is the perfect touch.
How could I say no to wheel skeletons? Or dinosaur?Well, this was fun. We'll definitly redo this some other time. Godd night /tg/!
>>23623015add a thin tunnel between B and D that is just hilariously long and has a boulder rolling down the opposite path. The boulder doesn't proc till you get almost to D and are tired from the length of the tunnel spiraling aimlessly and going uphill. Also set it up so that when it rolls into B, the boulder will smash into the wall next to A and block it off.
I love you OP, thank you.
>>23623174Put a hidden boss somewhere with around 53 wings and a rainbow sword.
>>23623174Thank you, OP. Now I can go to bed fulfilled.
First time on /tg/, is it always this awesome?
>>23623282Not always, but we have our moments.
The ending is the final room. You go in and play poker with a bunch of undead, a piano playing in the background, and a robot serving up drinks. That's your reward.
>>23623174Someone needs to make a single post or posts that contain all of the things suggested and lable them on the donjon
