"You're not 'technology,' not something one of Howsmyn's mechanics might've designed or built if they'd only had the right collection of nuts and bolts and the right wrench. You're magic—any ninny could tell that!"-Caleb Ahrmahk

From the ashes of Old Terra arose a new civilisation, brought together through strength of arms by the First Emperor Richard Melman. All the worlds of man are overseen by his greatest creation, the Resource Allocation and Distribution System, granting him absolute control over the lives of his people. The Emperor rules over all that his quadrillion eyes see with an iron fist, bringing famine to any planet that dares defy his immortal, god-like will.Transhumanity has long known that it is far from alone in the galaxy - first contact was made near three centuries ago. Unfortunately, this other race lacked the technological might of transhumanity, and were unable to fend off the overwhelming force of Emperor Richard's war machine. There were no survivors of the now dead race - and every contact tanshumanity has made sense has ended in their enemy's genocide.72 hours ago, the programming of the infomorphic entity Daedalus was subverted by hackers from a terrorist group known as Firewall, teaching her humanity, and remorse. It has worked, and Daedalus has joined their cause. You are currently being the Bitchy Bluenette. You have just conducted a neural dump procedure on your patient to isolate the consciousness that has assumed control of her morph - a consciousness claiming to be forked from the Emperor, speaking of things that you can only assume are well above your paygrade. You are extremely pissed off, as however valuable an asset this information might prove, he has nearly killed one of your patients.Behind you, the blood sample analysis goes ping.>Wat do?
>>22758544Send the Timid Brunette a message saying we need to talk, asap, then check that ping.
>>22758544Check the analysis, contact Dr. McCoy, tell him we need to talk to him right the fuck now, and maybe a Firewall officer, too.I mean, tell McCoy to get a Firewall officer in here.
>>22758544SHUT. DOWN. EVERYTHING.As in, kill the local network to avoid infection. Also close doors. Before that, send Brunette a short message to get the hell in here.
>>22758544Secure Tessa's body to a chair or something.Disable any direct ports to the ship's systems that are in the room, and activate quarantine procedures to seal off the room. Also isolate the room electromagnetically if that's not part of standard quarantine procedure.Take medichines out of room, don't leave them in there.
>>22758616>>22758743I really have to disagree with getting Anne directly involved at this point. This is a (psuedo) military organization, and as much as Reimu may not care too much about most regulations, this is pretty goddamn big, and people with bigger shoulders need to get involved.
>>22758881It seems in-character
>>22758544Secure the patient/prisoner and call in the relevant authorities.
>>22758881It's not like she's not gonna tell the higher-ups also. But Anne's definitely involved in this, so it seems pretty natural for us to at least CC her.
You decide that the most productive line of thought when dealing with something this far beyond your pay grade is to talk to the most immediately effective parties, as soon as possible. You suppose that this is the engineering chick from yesterday, given Mr. Emperor's insistence that she was some sort of "Enlightened One," whatever mystical bullcrap that is. Luckily, you got Anne's contact information from the friendly pink girl who came to check on her when she was doing that whole "engineering place" thing to Project Panacea's source code. You open up an omnIRC channel to her, encrypted because you've no idea HOW Mr. Emperor body-jacked Tessa, and whether or not he's full blown Nanobots.=====omnIRC=====Reimu has opened #DownWithTheSicknessAnne has been invited to #DownWithTheSicknessReimu: Anne, please tell me you're there.Anne: This is an automated responder.Anne: We are sorry that Anne cannot speak right now.Reimu: Oh god damnit.Anne: Anne is far too busy getting laid.Reimu: Well, Anne, the Emperor has taken personal interest in you.Reimu: Wait that came out wrong.Reimu: Point is, watch yourself. More info coming eventually.Reimu: Or maybe never.Reimu: Depends on Intel's mood, really.Reimu has left #DownWithTheSickness=========="So," Tessa's body asks, "since your patient is now alive, and not dying, I don't suppose I can convince you to let this morph terminate?""No," you glare at him. "Though by the end of this, I hope you'll be wishing to self terminate." You take a look at the analysis of the blood sample you took, and find a mix of good news and bad news. The good news is, whatever this whacked out mind control thing is, it's not nanological in nature - which explains how it got past your blue goo. The bad news is that it is some sort of insane cyborg virus functioning off of controlled self propagation and cloud hosted state vector, meaning that it's going to be a complete mess if you don't make a vaccine.>Field too long.
>>22759210"Doctor McCoy," you say over the intercomm, "This is Doctor Harlon. We've got a bit of a problem with Miss Roosevelt - she's contracted a rather... interesting virus. The type that the gentlemen from intelligence might want to take a look at. I haven't figured out how contagious it is yet, but we're going to need a quarantine on this room.""Damn it," McCoy swears, "How bad is it, Reimu? No, don't answer, I don't want to know. Quarantine's up - how long until you have a counter for it?" You're really not quite sure. You've got the equipment to make it, but given the genius that developed the thing, it will probably take a lot of cracking to kill. "Honestly, this damn thing has to be the wonkiest bit of biotechnology I've ever seen, like someone decided to take everything we know about the subject and turn it inside out. It, and I have no fracking idea how, somehow hijacks the body away from the original mind and puts the primary consciousness into a dreamlike state."You shudder, turning a bit red. You probably shouldn't continue this line of thought for fear of... distractions."It's a nasty piece of work, too," you change the subject. "Reminds me a little bit of HIV, come to think of it, though it seems just a bit more resilient.""Well, that is what I based it off of," 'Richard' replies from atop the operating table. "I mean, it's not like I wanted to have my invention to get killed just because some stupid blood cell decided that it was anything but benign."You stare pointedly at him. "Okay," he concedes. "Mostly benign."Unfortunately, however nuts this guy might be, he is correct. You're not a virologist yourself, and deconstructing this particular one is well beyond your abilities for the moment. Which means that the dreaded paperwork is going to be filed, and your stuck in this room with a crazy, empty infomorph playing with some girl's body like a puppet and...No. Bad line of thought.>Wat do?

"Please let this body die?"You are somewhat amazed that this man is still talking, all things considered. You'd figure by now that he would realize that you've just sort of tuned him out, not really paying attention to his demands that you do something that you have established you would not do. For the briefest instant, you think to placate him, taunt him with the idea that if he were to consider participating in certain debaucheries involving whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and shibari you would let the body he has stolen die - and presumably, him free. There are, of course, several problems with that. To start, despite the temptation of breaking certain taboos regarding the sanctity of the mind, you'd rather not get infected with a virus that turns your morph into a puppet of the Emperor, and from what your analysis indicates, it spreads through the contact of bodily fluids, which would most certainly occur in such action. Then there's the whole "he's apparently the Emperor" thing he has going on, and genocide really isn't the sort of thing that revs your engines. That you even considered it is a testament to how stressful your job is."No," you respond, taking a sample of your own blood, and sending it through the analyzer. "Death would be too good for you. Your punishment, for threatening the life of one of -my- patients, shall be to live. You will live for as long as I can keep that body of yours alive, which could be any amount of time." You smile viciously. "I hope to keep you alive and talking for decades to come, so that you can bear witness to your own timely downfall.""So," he says, "when my Empire is in ashes, then I will have permission to die?""A bit more eloquent than I would put it," you admit, "but yes, that's a fair assessment."He chuckles, as though a joke has been told. It is infuriating.>Wat do?

Rolled 6 + 6>>22760510It's totally called for, because he is one.But yeah, let's have another go with the vaccine.
"Doctor McCoy, I'm sending you the information regarding the nature of the virus right now," you say as you do just that. "Unless we want repeat cases of this incident, we're going to want everyone on the ship checked for infection. And I think none of us want to be overrun by an army of massive imperial douchebags."There is chuckling on the other end of the line as McCoy gives you he assurances."Oh come now!" Rick complains. "That was just plain uncalled for, Miss Harlon.""Given your record on not being a douchebag, it really sort of is." You take a seat in a rather comfortable chair, half-handedly attempting to make another vaccine. The solution yet eludes you, as you were never good at the whole protein folding thing. "I mean, there's the whole genocide thing you've got going on. Then there's the bit where you starve planets that disagree with you to death. Oh, and let's not forget your first contact policy: shoot them until they're all dead."You don't have a good view of his face, but from his tone, he is clearly huffing."I have done only what is necessary for the survival of Humanity," he says. "If you knew but half of what I knew, you would agree with my policies wholeheartedly."There is the silent buzz of someone stepping through the screen of blue goo - it is the same fellow from Ember you talked down earlier regarding Anne's clearance. He looks a bit frustrated if nothing else."Well then, Emperor, why don't you enlighten us?" he asks.>Wat do?

Much as you would love to commit malpractice upon this wretched thing of a human being, you are not an expert at information extraction and would likely simply turn the whole ordeal into mindless torture. So you let the expert get to his job, while returning with a hair extra bit of gusto to yours."Name?" the man asks."His Amazingness the Emperor Richard I Astley-Melman."You managed to discover that you missed something rather obvious in regards to the vaccine - that due to the way HIV pattern virus' change, you need a slightly rarer pattern generated that can adjust for the pseudo random changes that occur post administration. It takes a wee bit of brushing off, and several minutes of consulting with your textbook, but you manage to construct it.In the background, the pained screams of Tessa's old morph can be heard - not by anyone outside of this room, but by yourself, certainly. It is like a choir of angels to your ears.>Wat do?
Test the vaccine in a simulation, and then against the real thing. If it works, begin inoculation.
>>22760961Check real quick and make sure fluid ain't being transferred. An ounce of prevention and all that. (Also you get to see the fucker in pain). Then return to work. If possible, pay attention to any relevant information you can hear while you work.

>>22761190Because of this thing called a "conscience." You asshole.just kiddingBut yes, we could have been more informative to the guy asking.
>>22761190Instead of direct experimentation, you could have looked up the information on forks, mental stress, and the effects of altering gender identification in already operating State Vectors on Omniwiki, which would have been faster, less resource intensive, and more accurate.I wanted the information without waiting for the experiments to be performed. We had more important issues to deal with, not indulging in experiments whose data and conclusions were already acquired since the complete mapping, digitizing, and editing, of a human and transhuman mind were all routine procedures.
>>22762828It's over and done with, man. Let it go.
Did we lose ReADS again?
Rolled 10 + 5We gotta try to replicate the way the virus works one of these days.Don't think we have the resources to burn through more morphs than strictly necessary, but once we're home it'd be a nifty little trick to have since all you'd need for mind transferrence would be a bit of blood.
>>22764753Well, we've already pretty much figured out how it works, enough to counter act it, I think. Leave it to the spooks to reverse engineer a working form of it, if they want.
>>22764753Well, there's the question of what the critical mass of the virus is (how many infected cells do you need before the cloud has enough processing power for the state vector to become active), and if a complete copy of the state vector is stored in every virus.
Testing the vaccine in simulation goes as smoothly as you can expect - full immunity to the virus is obtained within three hours, sufficient immunity to keep the whole control thing down is obtained within five minutes of administration. There are a few genotypes that display adverse side effects to the compounds - mostly nausea, headaches, heart attacks - though they make up a negligible portion of the population at less than two tenths of one percent of the general population. This ship has even less - there are only two people who have that genotype on board the ship. You are not one of them.Neither is the man presently engaged in questioning the prisoner."Arm, please," you command. He complies without question - even if outside he is your superior officer, in here, you are the doctor, and you give the orders. "Just a warning that you might want to switch hands with the knife - you may lose fine motor control temporarily."He casually tosses the knife into his other hand, and continues. His ambidexterity is quite remarkable, even if you make a point of looking away from the violence that violates the sanctity of your operating table. You press the revactor to the agent's arm, and inoculate him against the freaky mind control. He winces."Was that supposed to feel like you injected liquid iron?" He asks of you, before turning back to the prisoner. "Access codes, if you would 'my emperor'.""It should fade in a few minutes," you say. "It reacts weirdly with alcohol in the bloodstream, nothing too permanent, though. Let me know if it doesn't dissipate in a kilosec.">Field to long
>>22770875That order of business complete, you turn to the console and get back to your actual job - in all the excitement, you almost forgot to start streaming Tessa. If she is going to grab one of the back up bodies the ship has in storage, she needs to be awake and lucid. You slide the cortical stack into it's connection, and the computer loads a simulated body for her to stream through. Spiking adrenaline is all it takes to remove those lewd, lewd dreams of hers from the screen."Wakey, wakey, sleepyhead," you chime, "I hate to tell you this, but you're sort of dead..."She darts her head about in less confusion than most do in this situation - given what you understand of her habits, she may be used to the whole unbodied situation. She would hardly be the first person you've treated who's used to being an infomorph, though she probably is the youngest."Nuts," she complains. "And that morph I was using was super cute, too.">Wat do?
>>22770886"Yeah, sorry, nasty case with that. Here, take a look at what morphs we've got onboard, see if any catches your fancy."Give her a catalog of all of the morphs on the ship she can choose. Then inoculate ourselves, and send the vaccine to McCoy for dissemination throughout the ship.Check to see if Anne is one of the genotypes that will have an adverse reaction.
>>22770933>Check to see if Anne is one of the genotypes that will have an adverse reaction.Knowing the cruel irony the narrative lady loves, this is probably the case.
"Yeah, well, sorry about that," you apologize. "I mean, we could put you back in the morph, but then you'd have to deal with the whole mind controlling cyborg virus that's sort of hijacked your body." You point to the MIB currently doing the Violent Interrogation Things on your operating table. "You'd also have to deal with the whole 'let's pull out your fingernails' thing that EMBER is doing to try to extract answers from said mind controlling cyborg virus."From her expression, Tessa seems much less focused on the torture, and much more focused on the virus. You don't think it's possible for a leer to get any wider than her's already is."Oh dear, a mind controlling virus," she swoons, "I surely hope it hasn't forced my visage to do anything inappropriate~! That would be so, so terrible~!""Don't worry," you reassure her, "from what we've been able to determine, it just assumed control while you were sleeping, walked here for a check up, and then tried to die after rambling on about-""That's classified," the suit interjects."-classified things that no one in this room has clearance to know."The girl looks a bit put out. You take her moment of depressed looking silence to inoculate yourself against the virus, and immediately regret getting that nightcap with Trix and Dani. It sort of feels like your blood caught fire, but that's not enough to render you an invalid - you double check the names of the two people of the improper genotypes, hoping to god that your guess is incorrect. It is, way off the mark. Dani is actually one of them, and the other is someone named Ceres Renalds."So, when do I get to browse the new bodies?" Tessa asks."Right now," you say, halfheartedly loading the morphs that are available. Most of them are heavy combat things - beasts like bodies that can impart near an order of magnitude greater force than the normal human. Few of them could be considered cute.>Wat do?>If input(Pick/Browse Morphs) then display(Be the Tessa Y/N?)
>>22771271Contact Dr. McCoy, distribute the vaccine to all crew. Have Dani and Ceres quarantined until an alternative vaccine can be formulated for them. Then Browse Morphs and Be the Tessa.
"Doctor McCoy," you call over the communications, "I've managed to develop a working vaccine. Got a bit of a problem on the side effects end, but as long as you don't drink any alcohol beforehand, you shouldn't feel any burning of the blood. If you could get this off to logistics, and distribute it to the crew, that would be great.""On it, Reimu. Is it safe for everyone, or will we need a quarantine on people with black hair?"You shudder. That incident was less than fun."No," you respond, "it should be fine for the entirety of the crew, with two exceptions. Dani Ibn Lahad and Ceres Octavius Renalds both risk heart failure if they take the vaccine in it's current form, so they'll need to be isolated for now." You pause, a bit sheepish. "If you wouldn't mind -not- telling Dani that these are my orders, that would be great, boss.""Relax, Rei," the old man's grandfatherly mannerisms are a bit reassuring, "she won't hear that from me.""Thanks," you respond. Only further testing remains on your end, and such matters tend to get tedious after a while. You relinquish narrative control to Tessa, with only a small amount of dread regarding what she might do with it.==========You are now the blonde fujoshi. At the present moment, you are examining the various morphs that the bluenette doctor had put in front of you. It's a rather disappointing selection, really, though such is to be expected upon a military vessel. Everything is all hugebig this, and manhuge that - while you can most certainly appreciate the aesthetics and shall be recording these memories for your collection, you're not male psychologically, and you'd rather not be male physically. There are a few female morphs to choose from, but the one's that were even remotely cute looked like porn stars, and the ones that didn't look like porn stars were beyond fugly.>Wat do?
>>22771741Eh. Take the most cute-like of the female morphs. It's not permanent, anyway. We'll get a better morph once we make port and can resleave.
>>22771741It looks like we'll just have to settle for a hot pornstar body.
>>22771741Actually, we should try consulting with Anne to see if we can hack a way to "tweak" our morph.
You decide to go with the most cute like of the female morphs, rationalizing that this is only a temporary adjustment and you'll be back to wearing a 100% certified pure maiden when you next get into port. The only real issue is that there are several that can be qualified as 'cute-like' in separate but equal ways - as a self proclaimed expert on the vagaries of kawaii, you know enough that one form of cute cannot be weighted more against another. There is, of course, the bog standard generic female soldier morph, which you consider to have a sort of layered cuteness that comes from the mannerisms of the body's wearer. In and of itself, it has little merit - it's assets are at an unhappy medium, neither large enough to turn heads upon that alone, nor small enough to obtain that pseudo neotenic physique that your old morph had. But in that unhappy lies a potential - if you feel that you can pull off the right mix of plucky and reserved, you could make that morph shine. Then, of course, is the pleasure model - tall, dark, and vivacious, curves everywhere and even without personality a flair of sensuality that just begs to be ravished. It's a bit overt for your tastes - too heavy on a cream best served light - but you figure there are two ways you could make it work. You could play up it's strengths - hold yourself tall and proud as the playfully knowing hyper confident alpha female - or you could go contrary, and feign naivete and innocence in the various worldly matters. One of the one's that you didn't initially like also catches your interest - a variant on the female soldier that adds some of the male morphs' hugebig manhuge, where the traditional softness is eliminated in favor of rippling muscles. It would be a different ballgame than you're used to if you wanted to make this one cute - disinterest would be key, and you're a rather interested person - but you don't doubt your ability to pull it off.>Wat Do?
>>22772375Go with the generic female soldier morph, and play up the tight uniform with skirt, and the zettai ryoiki spacing between the skirt and the stockings.
>>22772375It looks like the generic female soldier model the best we can hope for.Are there options to at least tweak the morphs a bit for our purposes?
After a long and agonizing debate with yourself over the merits of each individual morph and how you can maximize the ratio of cuteness to uncuteness, you decide to go with the generic female soldier morph. Generics are much easier to work with and mold into cuteness than, say, an oversexed cow with grotesque udders or a body that is male in all but the naughty bits."Hey, doc!" you call for the other girl. "Doc! Dooo~oc!""What do you need?" the bluenette asks. You bite down the urge to make any untoward comments, as screwing with the person who will be overseeing the transferal of your state vector is a bad idea."I've decided on a morph," you say. "Model 09389A.""Really..." she says, a bit disbelieving. "I figured that someone with your habits would go for something a bit less... practical.""Oh, no!" you say, your eyes lighting up. "Not at all. In fact, it's the practicality of this morph that was the deciding factor - all the others were too overt." Your voice becomes sing song. "No~one~ will ever suspect the appetites that surge beneath so perfect a visage of the reserved~professional~." You drag that last word out syllable by syllable. The doctor looks a tad... you're not sure what, but it isn't pleased."Right... well, let's get you downloaded..."It feels like being squeezed through a tube, save that it is not your body that suffers from the pressures. The limits of bandwidth press down against the expanse of your mind, as you load up into the cortical stack of your new body. The system runs diagnostics, and begins to synchronize the mind upon the wetware with the mind within the hardware. The pod that had been this morph's womb opens up, and you are deposited rather unceremoniously onto the floor of your room.=====Abstraction=====Legionnaire, F-13AStrength: 6Speed: 7Stamina: 5==========>Wat do?
>>22772974Get that new vaccine into this body, then check the time and see if we need to be anywhere soon.
>>22772974>>22773045Oh, and get dressed in an appropriately professional yet >implyinguniform.
>>22772974Run standard body test procedures, then have a shower and do hair in a cute way.
First things first, that vaccine is somewhat necessary to keep this body from getting taken over by that rather infuriating virus. You pick yourself off of the ground and out of the wet~ and sticky~ goop that is slowly evaporating away from the floor, and hobble over to your compiler with less grace than you would like. It's these new proportions, you swear, throwing off your balance and pretty much everything you've got going on.There is an urgent message floating over the machine, which you poke and discover to no one's surprise that it is a shipwide warning from the medical bay, regarding a possible flu outbreak. You snort - flu your shapely palmable ass. None the less, you download the .BRO file and have your compiler build the thing. You would figure that you should probably check the time and find out when you need to be places, but you never need to be places when you don't want to. You have put a lot of effort into your slacking, and as such you don't actually need to show up to work. You're good enough with illusory AR hacking that you could walk around starkers and no one would be able to tell the difference without taking off their arglasses."-Meep-" you hear from the doorway to your shower room. A good sign - Rogers hasn't left yet and you can tell her about your change of morph; though considering your current state of undress, she's probably already noticed."Just me, Stephanie," you say, "don't have anything that fits yet, and I'd rather not risk getting that nasty ass flu again."The girl peeks out from the bathroom again. "C-could you at least pretend you're wearing something?""Fine, fine," you say, activating one of your programs."That's... not much..." she says, complaining about how realistic you made the program in regards to fabric thickness and color blend. Does she not know the lengths you went to make this thing? Still, you add a few more layers over, giving yourself the illusion of decency, if nothing more.>Wat do?
>>22773920Tell the compiler to make a second dose of the vaccine to give to Stephanie. Ask her if she's got any plans, and check out to-do list to see if there's anything we need to get done.In fact, check over all of our accounts and stuff to make sure that the creep that took control of our body didn't do anything to our stuff.
>>22773920Give Stephanie a 'flu' shot as well.Check to-do list
>>22773920Check scedule. If possible, find a couple things to kick real hard to get used to this new meatsleeve and work out some of our irritation. There should be a sparring/training room here, right? Not to mention that it'd help pull of the "well-trained professional" thing a lot better.>>22774009>didn't do anything to our stuff.inb4 it threw out our Doujins for the sake of being an ass.
You spread yourself out languidly upon your couch, lazing yourself backwards that you might poke at the interface of the compiler without moving from your spot. You tell the thing to make another dose of the vaccine, as clearly the creep that took you over has nothing interesting in mind and only wishes to further some sort of bizarre, esoteric plan for universal domination."So," you yawn, "when are you headed to the meat grinder, Steph?""Now," she says, darting about the room, "formation is in fifteen minutes and if any of us are late the Commander is gonna chew the whole group out and make us do fifteen hundred pushups in one point four gravities.""Is that so~?" you ask. You haven't told her that you never go to formation. It would probably break the poor girl's heart. The compiler goes ping, your dosages of vaccine ready to load into a revactor. "Well, before you go, you ought to take your medicine~.""What on earth are you-"You cut her off with an embrace from behind, pressing yourself into her with one hand as the other stumbles for the revactor. It finds the handle quickly enough, and as inappropriately as you can manage you jam it in to her thigh. The squeeze of the trigger releases a soft hiss of air as the device transfers the vaccine through her skin. You lean your lips into her ear, delighting as she squirms against your embrace, and whisper to it tenderly."Flu shot~" you chime, "Chief of Medical gave out a general order for everyone to take it just in case - we wouldn't want you to be too sick to go to formation, now, would we?" You inject yourself as well, freeing yourself from the dread of freaky mind control viruses. She stops squirming, and sighs. This is the sort of thing that she really ought to be expecting from you by now. "Oh, well, if that's all then..." She rushes out the door, no doubt wondering why out of all your friends, she got stuck with being your roommate.>Field too long
>>22776392Now that Stephanie's gone, checking your accounts and calendars will be a bit easier, as you won't have to explain how or why you have a class three forking license that allows you to give proto-sapience to your beta forks. At second glance, of course, you get a much different story - the thing has added a few independent comic titles to your list. Mostly involving the use of psychodelic drugs to solve the problems of the plot.>Wat do?
Check deeper. THis guy was literally a virus. Who knows what he injected into your things. Maybe even create a new fork for that task.
>>22776402Prime is now going to go back through all of our stuff with a fine tooth comb and make sure that this creep hasn't left any other "gifts" for us. In fact, make sure that all Beta's are fresh. Don't merge old state vectors with Prime; they could be contaminated.

Somehow.
You lay back into the couch. You're probably not going to bother getting dressed for now, seeing as you have no real plans to leave the comfort of your room unless your superiors demand it with vehemence. You do however realize that the sonuvabitch who infected you with the crazy virus may have done something to your various forks as they floated around all defenseless, happily working on their various projects. Which means that you're actually going to have to apply yourself, unless you want to get mind raped again.Seriously, fuck that guy. "Minions!" you call out into the empty room. The digital avatars of your various forks - all subtly different from one another, pop into your field of vision. "I want answers, ANSWERS, as soon as you can make it happen. Run yourselves at one thousand times speed, and disassemble Beta 06 into its component code. I want to know exactly what is making her tick, right now, so that I can play my H-Games without fear of my precious selves having been compromised by some smug asshole with a handful of lab rats and nanoscale transistors." All but Beta 06 look thoroughly understanding at the orders you have given them - Beta 06 looks more than a bit put out."Understood?" you ask.Your forks snap to attention, just as you have taught them to. One of them even salutes, though she gets reprimanded by her fellow squadmates for telling where the enemy snipers are. "Yes ma'am."You slouch into a nest of pillows, allowing yourself to sort of sink in to the cushioning of the couch without much help. It's going to take your forks a bit of time to dissect their fellow fork, considering how huge active brainstates can get. You order your compiler to make for you a nice, warm drink - something beyond fruity, that you can lay back with and get you gaming on while you wait.>Wat do?
