>first five threadshttp://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Fantasy%20QuestYou were a 30 year old awkward lonely overweight virgin neckbeard who lived in his mother's basement. You were granted the unusual birthday present of being turned into a petite female elven bard and dropped naked in the middle of a forest. You and the gentle orc ranger, Jack Carson, became traveling partners and recently lovers after he rescued you from the wilderness. After being kidnapped by wild elves, your guard, Varaia, helped you escape, banishing herself in the process. After tenuous bickering, she joined you and Jack in your travels. You all boarded a train bound for Newport; two weeks in, you were shot when you foiled a train robbery. You succumbed to infection a week later, but were resuscitated. It's now a week after that, and Varaia has convinced you and Jack to do a three-way relationship trial period. It's evening. You've had dinner, but you could still probably do something before bed and still get to sleep at a reasonable time. What do you do with your evening?
>here's the map showing the train route>you're currently about half-way between Ridgemont and Newport, out in the desert>I'm going to go get lunch, I'll keep checking this thread on my phone while I'm out
>>22715800well amusing we did a movie show ... something to help get us back in shape work out stretch exct
YAY i love these threads. We should make a list of spells we have for future reference. see if there are any pencils and paper on the train
>>22715800do the star wars show some form o physical therapy would be a good ideastretching light cardio mediation? idk sex?physical activity also make a walk to the caboose to get some fresh air
>>22715944also light bulbs would be a pretty good invention they don't seam to have carbon filament in a vacuum tube powered by electricity we should also look into learning necromancy DEEP ROT go
>>22715800A short performance in the bar on our crude guitar. We need to stay sharp with our instruments.
>>22716036Pretty sure jack and val wouldn't be happy with us trying to learn necromancy considering we died earlier...
>>22716144why not ? think of it as death prevention reduce reuse recycle we are not evil hence we wouldn't do evil with it
>>22716144Hm, in character a near-death (or death, as it were), experience, embarking on a road towards lichdom would make sense I suppose. I question the wisdom of such decision, though, because alienating not only our friends, but also everyone else.
>>22716202you are aware that in many a setting necromancy is inherently objectively evil, no matter how it is used... and then there's problems society tends to have with their dead and buried being turned into bound servants.
>>22716036MP said the train was lit by magically-glowing glass cylinders and spheres. I don't think we need to worry about the light bulb.
>>22716249OP said that in this world, healing, the undead, buffing, debuffing, and anything else involving the soul or life force are necromancy. Paladins use White Necromancy, Liches probably use Black Necromancy, but it's a much more broad school that includes both ends of the spectrum.
>>22716298Well with the recent events(like jacks leg and us getting shot) i'd say learning white necromancy would be more fitting character wise.
>>22716315there is always room to grow
>>22716315That sounds prudent
>>22715950>stretching light cardio mediation? idk sex?I think we're still a virgin. Last I checked, we haven't gone all the way with Jack yet, just oral and 'heavy petting,' so to speak. Someone suggested we should have birth control before we do in a previous thread, so maybe we should go for anal sometime soon until we have some prophylactics.
>>22716315Since Jack's (probably) on the way to becoming a paladin, maybe we should look into getting him a necromancy lesson. Based on what OP said, though, white necromancy is mostly available at hospitals and major churches/temples, so it might be something you need to do the equivalent of medical school or monastic training to learn.
>>22716366Maybe we can find the necromantic version of a medical textbook in Newport.
>>22716228We're an immortal elf, we really don't need to become a lich.
>>22716393Functionally immortal. We can still get killed, we just don't age. That said, I do agree.
>>22716393and it would probably be in bad taste to lich up Jack just to keep him forever....but yeah, we should learn white necromancy if possible...
>>22715944>magic in this setting is semi-freeform, just of a somewhat lower scale of power than in D&D>you know illusion magic (you're getting pretty good), enchantment (that's mind-bending, you're not bad at that), spellsongs (it's like a less-powerful but also less-resistable form of enchantment), and utility (cantrip effects, things like pretidigitation, mending, lighting small fires, that kind of thing; you're almost good enough to start being able to unlock doors with magic)>also, back from lunch, writing up the next post now>consensus seems like stretch your legs, do a bit of performing in the lounge, then come back and do something sexually intimate, is that accurate?
>>22716466yes and ask about more info on white necromancy. Var should know more about it than jack.
>>22716482This sounds good. Might also ask likely looking lounge patrons.
>>22716466sounds good to m e>>22716393don't need to go lich to get Deep Rot just timeor we could start to get together with with some dwarf/gnome and make a regular computer
>>22716577if we make a computer, then won't we just go back to neckbeard status?
>>22716606Perhaps, but if we simply drop the idea and be on our merry way, it would likely improve the world.
A big question: how intelligent and how much time consumes doing all of this:- Practicing shooting.- Practicing music.- Writing down some plays and works from our world.- Doing plays in the train.- Practicing magic we already know: illusion and enchantment.- Sexing jack. And varaia?I mean, I do not know you, guys, but usually a char in D&D have a very hard time learning abilities from 2 or 3 classes and you know? I am telling this not because I want to spoil fun, but because I would hate playing "Mary Sue Quest" (omg, I am a petite beautiful female elf, I have a male orc AND a female elf lover; my song can charm animals, and I can use illusion, enchantment AND necromancy! I am the most respected bard because my star wars plays and I am so awesome and...)C'mon... at some point, we, or the DM, should put a limit and say: your char sucks at this.capcha: rynblo repeatedly. No, capcha, this is the first time I rumble here.
>>22716606you don't even need electricity for that.dare you enter my magival realm?
>>22716774well this entire world and by extension ids the escapist wish fulfillment or a 30 year old virgin neck beard so yea pretty much max sue all the time
>>22716774Well we don't really have much ammo, last I checked we only had about 40 rounds.
>>22716808oops, forgot the lewdness
You decide to take a walk around the train before bed, stretch your legs, maybe say hi to a few of the other travelers in the halls. You swing by the lounge and play a few songs, just to keep in practice and relax a little. When you're done, you head back to the room. You're mostly recovered from, well, dying, which is still remarkable to you, but it's getting late. When you get in, Varaia and Jack are already in bed and undressed, talking, Jack's arm over her shoulders."-find a white magic tutor?" finishes Varaia as you enter. They make room in the bed for you, and you undress and climb in. Your first reaction to seeing them completely undressed and in bed together was shock; all three of you being together is going to take some getting used to, you're sure."Hey," you say to the two of them. "I was thinking that one of us should learn some healing magic in case one of us gets hurt again. Maybe me, since I already know some magic, or Jack, since he's considering becoming a paladin.""We were actually just talking about that," says Jack. "Varaia thinks that I'll need to find a tutor if I want to learn. I'm hoping I can find a book to at least study the fundamentals while we're traveling."You nod. That's pretty much exactly what you were hoping for. "If you find one, I may want to read it too.""Of course," says Jack. The three of you just lie there talking for a little while after that...::||continued||::..
>>22716876Until Varaia grabs your shoulders and kisses you hard. This isn't one of those friendly kisses like before, or a kiss for comforting like when she cries. This is the sort of passionate, light-your-mouth-up kiss that you expect only someone who's lived in a youthful body for hundreds of years has the experience to do.It doesn't take long before all three of you are a hot, sweaty tangle of humping, grinding, rubbing, sucking, licking, kissing, touching. Varaia does things to your ears that you can barely believe, while you have Jack's big, strong, rough hands all over your body. You've reconsidered the urgency of having Jack take your virginity, but maybe, you think, there's another way you could get fucked. You convince Jack to try anal. You and Varaia take care to lubricate him with your mouths as much as possible, because he's quite big, and you're quite small. You don't enjoy it.You think you could, with practice; it was starting to actually feel pretty nice when you had to stop. But the stretching left you aching, and it was hard to adjust enough to it to even let him start moving. Maybe in future nights, with more attempts, you'll have something you can enjoy there, but not tonight. You, Jack, and Varaia finish winding down shortly after that. Your ass hurts; you hope you don't have trouble sitting tomorrow. Still, it's nice to be close to them.Another week passes. What are your priorities in the next week.
>>22716774Nona's physically weak, we have no idea yet whether we'll be any good at necromancy, she's only really good at non-magical fighting with pistols. So far, her abilities are pretty in line with playing a bard, which is what we chose as her class in the first place.
>>22716885Keep practicing with Jack, of course.
>>22716885Ahhh, there we go. That's why you work up to big dicks instead of starting with them.
>>22716885will jack take a vow of celibacy if he becomes a paladin? Might want to talk with him about that.
>>22716885b-but, we poop from there....
>>22716885I think we should definitely try to find a tutor for Jack to learn "white" magic, or maybe a couple of books. It is a bit silly that we plan on adventuring but have no effective means to heal ourselves. We also should look into the type of magic Varaia knows and see how effective it is. Seeing as she's lived for centuries, her casting abilities have got to be impressive.
>>22716885Check out local temples. Has Jack already chosen a god he wishes to be champion of? Or does he intend to be a knight-errant? Try to find a bookstore that might have some healing for dummies in stock
>>22717035He's Orcish Catholic. I mean, that's the entire reason we're en route to Orsalem.
>>22717061Sorry, have no read the entire 5(!) threads. Why we are trying to keep virgin? And what do we know about the catholic religion in this world?
>>22717085It's a little bit different in a few ways, but one of the main things I've picked up is that there's no original sin; after their savior sacrifices himself, he absolves us of sin and allows people to be judged by their actions and not by the actions of their ancestors. There seems to be a lot of discrimination against orcs and in the past, orcs have done bad things (remember the song in the beginning in orcish about orcs raping elven women?), which is probably why a noble guy like Jack likes it so much.I think he was going to be one, but he had already been invested in an apprentice-ship. This will be the first time he comes to Orsalem after he was blackmailed and kicked way out (he refused to work for a crime boss, so he was falsely accused of rape and had to leave.)
>>22717085Six other threads, actually. In this setting's antiquity, the orcish Horde of Graia, conquered most of Marsen, Mongolian style. They brought with them their faith, raped a bunch of people, and then the horde basically collapsed. The faith was mentioned as being similar to Christianity in overall theme, but featuring points like their God raping the virgin mother of their savior, and the savior being chained to a rock and eaten by scavengers as punishment by the orcish warlords of the era. In dying, he freed the world from the concept of ancestral guilt. There's been no mention of celibacy in the clergy yet, one way or the other.
>>22716885more Star warsmagic books fun ;)
>>22717117>I think he was going to be one, but he had already been invested in an apprentice-ship. This will be the first time he comes to Orsalem after he was blackmailed and kicked way out (he refused to work for a crime boss, so he was falsely accused of rape and had to leave.)That's mostly right, but he was previously living in Mildania, which is a dwarven nation. He's descended from freed slaves, like most orcs in Marsen. He's never actually been to Graia or Orsalem. And the apprenticeship was to a carpenter.
>>22717085>Why we are trying to keep virgin? We're not. We had been trying to get Jack to take our virginity, but we recently decided to wait until we had some kind of birth control. Jack was the one who's been holding off on it, actually, saying that he wanted both of us to be ready.
>>22717035We're on a train. I think that MP is asking for actions we can take in the next week while on a train.
>>22717169I love how I can be wrong on /tg/ and a guy will correct me on it in the nicest way possible.Another lore question, MP: How is it that dwarves and humans have become so well integrated? It seems weird that they would be, considering the differences between the two, while orcs get shit for being a bigger and greener.
You spend the next week on the train mostly just getting back to your old routine. You write down stories and songs. You perform when interested in the lounge, and play a new movie in there every night, from Die Hard to Total Recall; nobody's really interested in seeing the full Star Wars series yet again. You, Jack, and Varaia also keep getting intimate each evening. You still feel flickers of jealousy when you see Jack and Varaia together, but you're starting to get more comfortable with the fact that this is a three-way thing. You also practice with Jack every other night - your ass needs every other day to recover - and by the end of the week, you're actually beginning to really enjoy it. You can't last long enough for either of you to actually climax yet, but you're getting there, and finally actually enjoying it.You never thought you would say that you really enjoyed getting fucked in the ass by a huge cock.At any rate, it's the last day of the trip now. The train is due to arrive in Newport early this coming evening. When you wake up, Jack's still in bed, but Varaia isn't. You're still all sore from last night. What's your first order of business on the last day of your train journey?
>>22717349hunt down varaia.
>>22717296>the humans and the dwarves have been trade partners for centuries>when dwarves are bigoted towards humans, and they still are, it tends to be more based on what the human's nationality is than the fact that they're humans>certain dwarven nations have been feuding with certain human nations for centuries, like France and Britain used to>orcs, on the other hand, have the combined racial stereotypes of being poor, unintelligent, violent criminal rapists>the poor, unintelligent, and criminal stereotypes are because they're often forced into ghettos with no education and few opportunities>the violent rapist stereotype is old, from all the way back in the days of the Horde, when the average Horde soldier actually was a violent rapist
>>22717205 hey, we're being railroaded!
>>22717349Give a decent sized tip to the barman in the lounge. Having a good venue is nice. Discretely try to find a good lube for the improvement of sexytimes.
>>22717413We're also being railed. In the ass.
>>22717420Where are we going to get lube on a train?
Yeeah, I'm just not digging the whole three way thing. I'm out, but it was fun MonkeyPaw.
>>22717433Uh, I have no idea. Anything water based had ought to be fine. Perhaps our time as a neckbear will provide us with a recipe. There is one that makes the rounds on occasion.
I can handle a 3-way relationship but FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST don't make finding lube into an objective.
>>22717349Try to set up a big performance at the venue so that you can afford to get some books for Jack when you guys come out. You should work on a plan with Jack and Varaia on what they want to do when they finally get to Newport.
You decide to go find Varaia. You check her usual spot, out on the caboose's balcony, first. Sure enough, there she is, watching the desert landscape pass you by."Hey," she says without turning around."Hey," you say in response. You both stand in comfortable silence for a while before she says, "I'm not sure how I feel about us. You, me, and Jack."Your heart sinks."I mean, I know I was the one who asked for this in the first place," she says. "But I wanted in because I wanted to be with you. Don't get me wrong, I like Jack. He's charming, kind, and good looking. I'm even coming around to starting to have real feelings for him."She sighs."But even if I'm starting to feel that way now, I didn't at first. I feel like I was in the wrong for pushing us into this relationship, even if it's working out. I feel guilty, I guess. I like us now - I think - but does that justify pushing for this in the first place?"Then back to silence. This is probably why she was up early. She couldn't sleep because she was thinking about this. What's your response?
>>22717693hows world domination sound?work on bigger better more complicated illusions till they blur the line between real and fake till our will manifest the as real
>>22717523>I'm sorry to see you go
>>22717725who cares how we gt any wear you push I pushtrain walk as long as we enjoy the ride
>>22717725Huh, it's to bad the anti-triple guy left. Then again, I guess he expected the relationship to just be sunshine and rainbows without strain or problems.
>>22717725Admit to feeling jealous sometimes when we see her with Jack, who we do really like. We're getting over it as well. Then hold her for a bit.
>>22717725"Nah, you didn't really push. We were already considering it anyway. You just made the decision easier."
>>22717725"I think I'm going to have to agree with you, while I like you as well, it doesn't feel right to me. I'm sorry, but I still want to be your friend."
>>22717725"I agree, I thought I would be okay with it but I really am jealous whenever I see you and Jack together."
Rolled 96>>22717725I say we discuss the possibility of just being friends. I prefer Jack to her, and she did, y'know, try to kidnap us. Plus she cannae please us as he does.
>>22717725>>22717788Yes, honesty is an important aspect of a poly-amorous relationship. You should agree that you've all been pushing yourselves into it a little bit too fast. I mean, seriously, how long have we known this guy whom has been ramming our butts? :I Take it slow, incredibly slow. Talk it out with all three of you involved. We might not be ready to have three of us together.
>>22717824I'm seconding this. three feels a little too much for a first time relationship...
>>22717848About, what is it now, a month and a half? Almost two months?
Rolled 57>>22717848We've known Jack for about a month and a half now. I trust him.
>>22717725Hey, MP? You're a great writer and all, but I was really expecting more in the line of HIGH ADVENTURE when we started. (I mean seriously a gunslinging elf bard who rode a bear? Awesome.) But, this really seems to have been derailed thoroughly into a soap opera at this point due to waifufags (or I suppose in this case husbandofags) and that's really not my style. Best of luck to you, but I'm out. If you run something else sometime I'll be sure to check it out.
>>22717902>>22717917I'm not particularly bothered by the sex like the other guy was, because I really like the rest of the story, I just don't really want our story to be talking about the sex...as much as it does. Some details to further the relationship is cool, but the lube objective? And the way you've been describing the anal? Ehh. I'm not going to leave or anything, I'm just saying it'd be better if we were focusing on the less sexual aspects.
>>22717349>You never thought you would say that you really enjoyed getting fucked in the ass by a huge cock.Who do you think you are talking to, MP? We are /d/eviants at heart! However, honestly, yeah, we need to focus more on the adventure and less on the "muh feels". Less Mary Sue "you beat all the gang on your own" and more thrill.Shall we get ride of Varaia, guyz?
>>22717973agree needs more ADVENTURE less sex
You let out a long sigh. "We should talk about this with Jack around too, I think," you say and hold the door open for Varaia to get back into the train. She nods and heads on in.You two wake Jack up and sit down to talk it out. Varaia shares how she's feeling guilty - how what she originally actually wanted was to just be with you, but has been coming around to actually wanting the group relationship. You share how you've been feeling jealous when you see Varaia and Jack together - how the jealousy's been diminishing, but is still there.Jack frowns, scratches his beard, and says, "This is what I was afraid of. People getting hurt. Okay, the way I see it, we have two choices. First, call the trial period a failure, accept it, and move. Second, reign it back in, slow it down. Try to make it work, but be more honest and take it easy until we're all really comfortable."Varaia nods. You think. Do you want to end it or just slow it down? Before you can decide and answer Jack, you hear a loud boom from the front of the train. You're thrown hard to the floor, then feel lifted up off the floor as the car tumbles off the tracks. It's all over in a second, and then you're all in a pile on the wall, the car apparently over on its side.Jack is groaning and you can hear gunshots from somewhere outside the cabin. What do you do?
We can stay a triple or be a pair, either is fine with me. just less sex is all.
Aye, more adventure! less banging I like sexual tension better anyway
>>22718074Check for injuries, arm ourselves, investigate.
Rolled 10>>22718074Let's go back to a double, but first, get to Jack, and STAY DOWN!
>>22718074They are not attacking directly at you, right?Check out how is everybody, if anyone is hurt or anything. How are we? Fully recovered? I would say Varaia should try to spot what is going on (you know, better hearing and sight) and we can organize a plan from there.
>>22718074"get reedy to defends your selves "open the door and send out an Illusion us use a mirror to get a peak at whats going on outside the cabin."gather up our stuff get reedy to run for it
>>22718117>>22718074Owl has the right idea, but remember to take advantage of our elven perception. Check to make sure we're all okay, then hold this cabin. We need to stay with Jack, and get Varaia to flank the outside once we see where the gunshots are coming from. Varaia should stick to using the bow first, since we need to avoid drawing attention. Remember what happened last time? We got shot with a damn ray-gun, I think. You don't want to feel the heat that these assholes are packing.
You check to see if everyone's okay. Jack's already starting to get up, but he has a nasty cut on his left forearm. It looks like he broke the window when the train landed and he got cut on it.You check Varaia. She's out cold. You check her pulse - that's fine. Then you notice that her head is bleeding - it looks like she hit it in the fall."Fuck!" you curse. You listen for the gun shots. They sound like they're from a fair bit further down the train. You grab your gun belt and put it on.You're not sure what to do next, or who to help, and how. What do you do?
>>22718074Pull out gun, check to see if Jack and Vararia are okay.
>>22718244Vararia has suffered head trauma, we can't move her until we know it's okay to move her.Tell Jack to wrap something tightly around his arm, staunch the bleeding.Pull out our gun, watch the corridor. Anyone points a gun at us without a badge gets shot.
>>22718275MP said the train is on its side. The corridor is up.
>>22718244are the gunshots coming closer or farther? Either way, I say tend wonded as best you can, guard door. wait.
>>22718244>ack's already starting to get up, but he has a nasty cut on his left forearm. It looks like he broke the window when the train landed and he got cut on it.>You check Varaia.>She's out cold.>You check her pulse - that's fine. Then you notice that her head is bleeding - it looks like she hit it in the fall.wrap her head wound at least put something over jacks arm look out the window with a mirror how many gun hots have we herd? prep illusion of an empty cabin in case any one comes looking
>>22718244>>22718275Follow this anon's advice to care for them. Try to use your elven perception to sense anybody who doesn't wear a badge, and work with Jack (he has the rifle, so he could probably land better shots on them if he had us to spot.) As soon as we find somebody with a badge, we need to get their help. Work slowly up to where the shots are, helping out other confused patrons and watching all sides.
>>22718312>>prep illusion of an empty cabin in case any one comes lookingOH! this this this!!!
You wrap the cabin in an illusion to make it look empty to make sure you don't have any unwanted guests. You make some quick bandages out of the bed sheets. Jack's pressing on his arm wound to try to stop the bleeding, so you move on to Varaia's head, getting it bandaged up and the blood stopped. You elect not to move her until you know she's safe to be moved - you're sure you've heard that somewhere before. You bandage Jack's arm up, then hand him his rifle."Varaia," you say, reaching down to tap her cheek lightly. You want to rouse her, but you don't want to do anything that could risk injuring her further. "Varaia, I'm going to need you to get up. Come on, wake up, we need to be ready to move."Jack keeps watch while you do that, aiming straight up towards the hallway with his gun. You hope his injured arm doesn't affect his ability to aim too badly. Finally, after a few minutes that feel much too long, Varaia opens her eyes. She looks confused and a little loopy. "What happened?" she asks. "Why's my head hurt?""There was an explosion or something," you say, quickly. "The train derailed, and there's some kind of gunfight going on outside." Sure enough, a few more shots pop off; you're betting that there's a fight from cover going on to have lasted this long. "We need you up and ready to move. Can you get up? Do you need help?"She grunts and gets to her feet, leaning on the wall for support. She doesn't look too stable. What do you do?
>>22718548just lay there ok do our best to wrap jacks arm turn invisible and have a peek outside
>>22718548Now that we know what sort of fight it is, we should go with Jack to see if we can't influence. Please don't take any direct shots unless we know we can kill a man with no badge and not get hit ourselves. Try to create an illusion of more marshalls making dumb moves to lure the robbers/whoever out so that they take shots, and then have Jack pick them off from a distance.>>22718597If we can turn invisible, that's also a good idea.
>>22718548have Jack carry her, and everyone try to get away from the gunfight and find a good hidey-hole, bring up the rear and use your hearing to cover your escape, have Vararia do the same from the front.Find somewhere safe.
>>22718548bandage jacks arm have varia rest "don't move ok"Ill be right back "look out the door invisible our head as we try to figure out whats going o out there
>>22718548Tell Vararia to lay down. Walking or running with a concussion often worsens the condition of the patient.
"Carry her," you say to Jack. He does, picking her up like she weighed nothing. You whip up a new illusion - a tricky, complicated one. You never would have been able to do it when you first arrived in this world. After all the practice you've been having doing movies, though? You should be able to do this - for a few minutes, if nothing else. You turn yourself invisible. You manage to climb up to the cabin's door frame, then out into the hall above it. The hall was narrow before, so it's pretty much a crawl now. Luckily, the glass on the windows across from your door frame was shattered in the fall, so you can stand up straight and be pretty much clear of the train. The first thing that strikes you is all the smoke. Most of the train is on its side, and you can't even see the front third of the train for the smoke. The rails are all torn up where you presume the explosion happened as well.Up near the ruined cars, in the cargo area of the train, you see three rail marshals crouching on top of the train and trading shots with men on horseback. The marshals are seriously outnumbered, but are holding out with the higher ground, by the looks of things. Then you notice a fourth and fifth marshal with the three; they're also on the train, but they're lying down, likely injured or dead."We need to get out of here!" says Jack when you relay what you saw. "How are we going to get Varaia out?"That's a damn good question. What will you do?
>>22718783Song magic doesn't give a fuck whether you're alert or trying to resist. The enemies are on horse back and we don't know how far civilization is, trying to just run will get us gunned down.Find the best cover possible and start singing, use the spellsong to mess with the bandits, have it lower their will to fight, make them inaccurate, distracted, dizzy. The Marshalls ought to be able to run them off with that kind of advantage. Make sure both us and our companions keep a lot of solid stuff between us and any bullets.
>>22718783Different illusion: More people with guns coming out of the train
>>22718783no stay low we can help a bit they got horses we can't out run them make illusions of passengers crawling out of the train and firing at the bandits and some fire on the bandits hands so they drop there guns (i think monkey said illusion fire still hurts then the horses so they through there riders
>>22718864with marshal uniforms, or?But that sounds like something to be extremely taxing our already encumbered mind.Would we manage to slip to Marshals before the invisibility wears off?
>>22718841>Find the best cover possible and start singing, use the spellsong to mess with the bandits,This is our best option, I second.Let Vara to lay down for a moment, there is nothing we can do now. We will watch for a healer once the horseback guys are gone.
>>22718895>>22718841These guys have the right idea. Try to use spell song to make the banndits feel bad, and maybe ask Jack to put Varaia down and fire an accurate shot at one of the horseback men. He should be able to pop off one shot, then hide, if we're very discrete about it.
>>22718895fuck yea burn the guns out there hands and the horses from under neath them
>>22718901actually disregard that, sounds like horribly exposed position
You crouch down back into the hallway. As long as you don't stand up, the men on horseback shouldn't be able to see you at all."Jack, put Varaia down somewhere safe and come up here. You may need to take a few shots with that rifle," you say.He nods and sets the room's chair back to standing, this time on the wall that's become the train's new floor. He sits Varaia in it. "Keep awake now, okay?" he says to her. "You have a head wound, so we can't have you drifting off."Varaia nods, holding her head where it had been bleeding.Jack climbs up out of the cabin with his rifle. He crouches down too, but has a harder time of it than you. If the men on horseback were really looking for him, they might be able to see the top of his head. You start singing up a song designed to magically disrupt the men attacking the train. To make them clumsy, careless, and scared. It's not enough to chase them off outright, but should be enough to force them into making mistakes and make them more likely to retreat. The riders look around, wondering where the song is coming from. One of them starts riding down towards your train car and Jack lines up a shot and takes him clear off his horse. He works the lever on his rifle and fires off a few more shots, hitting another of the gunmen who are trying to deal with the marshals.Another marshal get hit, going down hard, while the other two keep shooting at the riders. What now?
>>22719166Keep the song going, focus on the scared part, if we can do it at the same time make some ghost images of Marshalls at other points of cover firing on them. They ought to run off because of that.
>>22719166How many bandits are out there? How many ammo do we have? In ultimate instance, try to cast some illusions to scare the horses. Snakes, zombies, flames, I don't know.
>>22719166What sort of numbers are we looking at? If we've got only 5 or 6 gunmen to deal with, then maybe we could take enough of them out to make up for the marshalls having such low numbers. If it goes into the double digits, we need to make this song a lot better or do some illusions that make it look like there's more marshals than bandits.Jack is getting too trigger-happy, which he should only be doing if they come towards us again. If we're a safe distance away, just take your time and aim for critical points.
>>22719245>>22719267>there are still almost a dozen gunmen left>you have quite a fair bit of ammo that you picked up back in Salvation
>>22719296>>there are still almost a dozen gunmen leftShit... illusions to scare horses. I suggest big snakes. But a cat is fine too.
>>22719296Yeah, if there's that many, I don't think we can take them down with only 3 guns. Try to make illusions that make it look like there's way more men coming through in marshal outfits. This should also be a good cover so that Jack can take some better shots.
Try to make more ghost marshals, and try not to scare the horses off....we might need them if the train is stranded.
You focus your spellsong down on the gunmen, trying to make them as frightened as possible. You then call up a new illusion, this one of more marshals coming up on other cars and taking shots at the mounted men.You even include pain in your illusion so that you can wing a couple of the men with illusionary shots to really scare them off.The men start fleeing, first just a few, then the rest after the real marshals take a couple more off their horses. You wait until the gunmen have been completely out of sight for a few minutes before you stop singing and drop your illusions. The marshals wave at you for you to come over; they're about a dozen cars down from you."Is it over?" asks Varaia from below. She's still sitting in the chair and holding her head in her hand. What do you do now?
>>22719166Keep with the song. We haven't practiced song magic and illusions so I don't want to risk something going horribly wrong.
>>22719548"Our friend here suffered serious head trauma and need to see a doctor, preferably one with healing magic. If you can get her taken care of, we can help you with anything you boys need to do. What's been going on?"I'm assuming that a lot of people been hurt in the crash, so we need to spread out with the marshals and make sure everybody's okay.
>>22719548"It's over. They're gone."We should go and make sure everyone's OK.Afterwards, we should be getting some kind of a reward, as everyone likely would have died if not for us and Jack.
>>22719548"Yes, we've driven the raiders off. Hold still, we'll find you a medic."And then find her a medic. Although that might be more preoccupied with more severely wounded passengers/marshals.Check with the marshals, if they recognized the raiders.Maybe scout out the engine? Can the passengers make an effort to get the train back on track, or are we going on foot? What environment are we in anyway?
>>22719548CHeck out Varaia again. Some movie health check, questions like "DO you recognize me?", "What's your name?", "Where are we?", What, dear God, tell me what?!"
>>22719548Leave Jack with Varaia and go over to the marshals.
>>22719548"It's over, we're safe, you'll be okay. I'm going to go talk with the Marshalls, Jack, keep an eye on her."
>>22719548tell jack to stay with Vararia.
>>22719714"We should find Varaia a medic," you say. "Go down and keep an eye on here while I go talk to the marshals."Jack nods and lowers himself back down into your cabin. You slowly work your way down the train towards the marshals. You hear people moaning in pain inside the train cars as you progress, others talking or comforting each other. You're sure at least some are dead - you can already hear some people crying in mourning. When you reach the dwarven train marshals, they greet you with stern nods. "You helped us out of a tight spot there," one says. "We wouldn't have made it if it weren't for you."Then he looks down at the three downed marshals. He checks their pulses and tosses you one of their wand pistols. "Those two still might not. And that one is dead."He sighs."We need someone to ride to Newport on one of those horses whose riders we shot. Tell the train company there that we're stranded out here, that rebel rail workers derailed the train trying to get the company pay shipment."He gestures to the car they're standing on."As long as we have all those crowns in there, they'll be back again, just like when you thwarted that robbery a couple weeks ago. We need help."Well, god damn. What do you do now?
>>22719714>>22719887>whoops, didn't mean to link the post>it just remained from me bringing up the reply window
>>22719887Offer yourself as part of a mercenary crew. Tell them that we'll go to the town if they supply 2 (3?) horses (Varaia might not need one). There'll probably be a doctor in town anyway.
>>22719887"Fuck, fuckity fuck fuck. How far away is it? If I go will you be able to hold this position? I have a friend who needs medical attention and we probably shouldn't move her around too much, took a nasty hit on the head. Do either of you have any experience with first aid?"Are we a capable rider? Because if not we probably shouldn't choose to be the messenger.
>>22719887Maybe only Jack should go (with maybe a marshal to partner)...Varaia is in no shape to be riding horseback, and we need to stay here to help out with songs and illusions in case they come back.Try to care for all of the other civilians, helping out where you can. Rally up every passenger with a fire-arm who's willing to fight and start creating a defensive line.Ask the marshal how long we can keep this wand pistol, and how it's fired, too.
>>22719887If the train company had unionized workers, none of this must have happened.Oh well, this >>22719941 sounds prudent. Accept the implicit job offer.
>>22719887we should ride wear light and have the ability to hide better than any one else and with our song we can get that horse to run till it dies.tell jack and Vivaria to hold tight suggest the marshals give up the money or at least move it far off the tracks so they wouldn't attack the train again sooner we ride the better lets tell jack and book it ride along the tracks for a few miles so our tracks don't show up
>>22720025Based on what MP said in previous threads, they're fired by aiming and pulling the trigger, and can be recharged by anyone with magical ability.
>>22720025They will come back with enough force to overcome the illusionary guards, in which case we're screwed. OR they realize they were illusions, in which case we're screwed as well. Time is of the essence. It's question whether the town authorities would take Jack seriously. He's an orc, after all.
>>22720025agreeing with this, concussion patiants do not mix well with jostly horses, butI think we better go instead of Jack....We know hes a good guy, the townsfolk may not........
>>22720055>>22720088rife and ride hard
Rolled 33I say we should stay at the train and try to help the passangers.
>>22720088What if the marshals wrote a serious note and both signed it? They'd have to believe him then, I think.
>>22720325he still has a broken arm
You nod and stick the wand gun in the back of your belt."Jack, the big orc I'm normally with, is with Varaia, the wild elf girl in a cabin a few cars down," you say. "Varaia has a head injury. Make sure that if a medic or doctor goes around doing rounds, she gets seen right away."You walk back to the car with your cabin in it."I'm heading out," you tell Jack and Varaia. "The next attack could overrun the train's defenders if I don't get reinforcements. I'll be riding out alone, and riding my horse to death if need be."Jack looks like he's about to protest, but you cut him off. "Jack, I need you to keep an eye out for Varaia. Make sure she gets medical attention."He nods, grimly.Varaia looks straight up at you, fear in her eyes. "Don't die again." It's something between a plea and an order. You nod, climb down carefully from the train, and mount one of the riderless horses. You've never ridden one before, and your bardic skills aren't kicking in for this, but you've seen westerns before. How hard can it be?After a few minutes of experimentation with the reins, your heels, and various word combinations, you think you more or less have the hang of it. You urge your horse forward, out into the desert air, racing along the tracks. You just hope you make it in time.>I'm going to have to end it here>the game tomorrow should start sometime between 5-7 PM; I have things that need handling tomorrow afternoon>ask questions if you have them
>>22720377Good turn around back to adventure, MonkeyPaw. That was fun.
>>22720377Good to be back to adventure. The sex scenes lost us our drawfriend and I think a couple others, so it's good to get back to our bear riding badass.Good job OP. Keep it going.
>>22720582>>22720633>the thing is, I had these events in mind ever since I mentioned that there was a train to catch>I think abrupt changes of tone are fun>adventure or danger just aren't as interesting unless you have previous events to contrast them
>>22720934was there anything we could have done to prevent being shot?
>>22720955>absolutely>if you had allowed yourself to remain a hostage, there would have been better opportunities to escape or fight back>you also could have fought back or tried to escape in a different way>all of your choices have consequences
>>22720377Thanks, MonkeyPaw. I actually like the triple thing. If everyone communicates openly and is up front about what they are looking for, it should work. If our prospective partners weren't as mature as they are, it could be trouble. Basically it is the MC that is the potential stumbling block.
>>22721006(Should I archive this thread, or will it continue later?)
>>22722509>go ahead and archive it
>>22722547Okay. "Complicated threesomes and train robbery occur" a good enough summary?(There will be more, yeah, but that's the basic idea)
>>22722594>maybe change 'complicated threesome' to 'relationship troubles'>the voters seemed to really dislike the mention of masturbation in the last one's description
>>22722618Will change it to Relationship TroublesAnd I personally thought it was a funny juxtaposition, but I'll keep that in mind.
