Alright, so I'm a moron and accidentally let the thread hit the archive while everyone else was busy.
This is just sort of here so that we can all agree on what happens next. We've got a few main things on the agenda along with what I'd suggest we do;

IRL stuff:
>Date the next thread goes up on
Seems a fair few of us are a bit busy right around now, or just burned out. I suggest we start the thread about a month from now, maybe 13th of December?
>What to call the archive
I leave that up to you, archiveanon.

In universe stuff:
>Stonehenge
Imperials take Stonehenge with severe structural damage to the eastern portion of the island. A large amount of water evaporated due to part of a lance battery hitting the ocean, causing it to rain over the island and putting out the wildfires spreading there.
>The void battle
Imperials manage to fight off the Tau and Enoulians, Stryxis either decide to fuck off, try and take one of the guns from Stonehenge and get shot to pieces in orbit or take one of the guns and sit on the planet to eventually get hunted down and exterminated
>Spookboys in Groxbridge
Infestation manages to be contained on the surface, all undead killed up there. Some undead survive in the sewers.
>Raid on Groxbridge
Tau pull out after sustaining relatively few casualties (excluding the loss of various XV95s), bident isn't captured, civvies get spooked, number of arbites is reduced groxbridge recieves medium structural damage.
>Raid on Liveria
Imperials perform the raid, either get killed in the city while doing major structural damage or making it out back alive via driving through the city to Greenfields and doing (comparatively) light structural damage
>Aeldari plot to steal a big fucking titan killing bident
I've got nothing, up to the Druchiiposter and Stannimposter.

>big tiddy water caste chick
The AssAss(in) does very, very lewd things to her, like holding hands.

inb4 this thread also dies prematurely
>>
Druchiiposter/Archiveanon here, thread has already been archived:
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?searchall=damnatum+lutum

I am free to post anytime now that I have graduated, but to be nice to the anons in university, try starting either before or after exams.
Based on discussions from last month's thread, some people think the next thread should go full circle, and return to the muddy trench warfare that occurred in the first two threads, with the thread ending the series with the implication that warfare on the planet will continue for years. Liveria might be a good spot for trench warfare.

Plot threads that need to be wrapped up during the time skip:
Raid on Liveria is a clusterfuck because it involves many characters, yet has little prospect of succeeding. Maybe leave it up to the individual posters to sort out what happened via posts in the next thread, though chances are the raid failed in some way, if we want to continue using the Tau as adversaries in the next thread.
My masterplan for the Aelderi plot was that the chaos corruption around Stonehenge was the prelude to a chaos ritual which would have turned the whole planet into a daemon world. The Bident has the power to stabilize the warp and thus stop the ritual (with the only other option being to navigate the maze of reality bending tunnels beneath Stonehenge and destroying the ritual sites individually).
Damnatum Lutum is a major webway nexus, so both factions of Aelderi have reason to not want it to be corrupted.
If the "Aelderi Bident" plot line continues next thread, we can probably just have the discussion between Wyen'dala and Kerala appear in flashbacks.

Also, this weekend I wrote up a summary of all the main characters and factions in the series so far. I was going to use it to start making a 1d4chan page, but I am still blocked there for some reason. I will start posting it below if anyone wants to save it somewhere and link it to the start of the next thread.

Marines

The Imperial Fists: Sammos (later promoted to Sergeant), Sergeant Gereon Paulicus (later promoted to Lieutenant), Chaplain Sixtus Egillmann, Sergeant Allemannus, Captain Maluan, Brother Saegon, Sergeant Retker, Sergeant Ignatus, Brother Immalrik. Paulicus has been present for every thread, while Sammos has been present for threads 1-5. Other characters are primarily background, though Egillmann and Maluan have minor roles in some threads. Notable for their shared dislike of the Ultramarines and Sammos' occasional acts of kindness, but are otherwise by-the-book Imperial Fists.

The Black Templars: Marshal Hans and Initiate Reiger. The Black Templars are mentioned at least once per thread in threads 1-5, generally crushing everything in their path. Reiger has the misfortune of being assigned to watch over Priscilla in thread 2, and is revealed to be still shadowing her in thread 5. Wears a top hat and bow tie for some reason in thread 5.

The Ultramarines: Captains Manius Domitius Pulcherius and Cato Sicarius, credit hogging secondary antagonists from the first thread. Manius is "accidentally" run over by a tank early in the first thread. Cato is defeated by Orko in the first thread, and later briefly appears as a maid in the second thread.

The Iron Hands: Nameless Techmarine, Brother Aithne, Iron Father Primus Frater. Bunch of Iron Hands who show up in the second thread to fortify the remains of a titan, haven't been seen since aside from a very brief mention in thread 3.

Brass Vipers Chapter: Western themed chapter including Captain Jebediah Weston, and Brothers Robbins, Charles, Arthur, and Johnny Cash (Dreadnought). Appear in thread 3 and are supposedly wiped out by the end of that thread, though Weston is revealed to be alive in thread 5.
>>
Imperial Guard

Krieger Maus Tank Crew: Tank Commander Diederich Karl-Heinz Kaoskötter, Friedrich, Karsten, Hermann, Georg, Oswald Aspdorfer, Heinrich, Techy. After everyone started sperging out about Kriegers being used to crew a German WW2 tank, they were retconned as being defective Kriegers working for Inquisitor Zeke, and they apparently borrowed their Maus tank from Steel Legionnaire Hans Heinrich Hochberg. Absent from thread 2, but some of the crew end up under the command of Hans Heinrich Hochberg in thread 3 to 5. Diederich himself reappears in thread 4 only to be sent back to the hospital by the end of the thread.

Other Kriegers: The Krieg General, Krieger 143342523, and many other nameless Kriegers. Typical Kriegers doing typical krieger stuff in thread 2. Other nameless Kriegers are mentioned in pretty much every thread.

Steel Legion / Krieger Tank Crews: Baneblade Tank Commander Hans Heinrich Hochberg, Tactical Officer Oswald, Johann, Karsten, Hermann, Techy, Leman Russ Commander (and female xenos enthusiast) Anshelm, Stormlord Tank Commander Volgatov, Tank Commander Kirchenbach, Tank Commander Johann, Macharius Tank Commander Josef, Major Ritter, Major Urquhart, Tank Commander Linden, Hellhound Tank Commander Crazy Carl. Hans appears frequently from thread 3 onward. Oswald, Karsten, Hermann, and Techy first appeared in thread 1, and are therefore possibly defective Kriegers.

Other Steel Legion: Corporal, later Sergeant Amarus Instantius. Background character from first thread. Later reappears in sixth thread as a Gue'vasa'la traitor.

78th Risian Light Infantry: Trooper Monica Jernwick. Monica appears in every thread, and serves as living proof that life in the Imperial Guard sucks.
>>
Imperial Guard (continued)

1st Happy Ending Regiment: Captain Priscilla Von Hansburg, 4th Baroness of Bluven. Hapless noble born officer who has appeared in several other greentext story threads. Reoccurring character from thread 2 onward. Her senior sergeant Cliveton and her adjutant Chastity are also occasionally mentioned.

The Praetorians: Captain Victoria Appleton, Baneblade Commander (threads 1, 3, 5, and 6). More British than the Queen.

531st Cadian Regiment: Head Field Chirurgeon Octavious Graves, Guardsman Lew, Commissar Dell Lugermorph. Graves and Lew first showed up on thread 4 and were established as a badass but kindhearted medic and a Sister fearing pyromaniac respectively. Lugermorph shows up in thread 5 as a friendly Commissar with an inclination towards insane schemes. All three have frequently appeared since their introductions.

917th Cadian Regiment: Commissar Mathias Marc, ass-kicking Commissar who hasn't been seen since early thread 1.

The Tallarns: Navid Navar, Rushdi el-Qasim, Al-Zahin. Life sucks when you are a desert dweller posted on a mud world. Mostly encountered in thread 2, but mentioned at least once in every following thread.

Other Guardsmen: Charles and Thomas, typical Guardsmen doing Guardsmen stuff in thread 2. Munitorum Field Test Observer, bureaucrat turned killing machine from thread 2.
>>
Inquisition

Inquisitor Zeke The 84th: Developer of experimental tanks in thread 1.

Inquisitor Andreas: Mentioned in thread 2, probably also the nameless Inquisitor who tries to order an orbital bombardment.

Inquisitor Janus Invictus: Mentioned once in thread 3, probably the nameless Inquisitor who has Arthur Harris arrested.

Inquisitor Lupanarium: First appears in thread 3, but only named in thread 4. Relies heavily on henchmen like Antonius, Gillian, and Hiems. Dies offscreen sometime during or between thread 5 and 6.

Inquisitor Leonpines Edric of the Ordo Xenos: First appears in thread 4. Trigger happy puritan who uses Deathwatch as primary henchmen. Really hates Xenos.

Lord Inquisitor Gregor von Rosen: First appears in thread 5, but had previously appeared in a past greentext thread as a humble storm trooper. Obsessed with the Stonehenge super weapon, fond of spamming specialized Guard units at opponents. Henchmen include Jackinus and Julianus.
>>
Aeronautica Imperialis

Antonius: Pilot who first appears in thread 3, joins the warband of Inquisitor Lupanarium, then returns to being a pilot in thread 6 after Lupanarium dies.

Ace Thuderbolt Pilot Laurentz Foulke, later promoted to Wing Commander: Does cool pilot stuff in threads 1 and 2. Sent to hospital for several months after being caught in the duel between the C'tan and the Titan, possible brief appearance in thread 3.

Arthur "Et Ignis in Nocte" Harris, Squad leader of the XIVth "Lancasters" Marauder Squadron of the Praetorian airforce: Brief appearance on thread 1 before becoming a major character in thread 3. Is court marshaled in thread 3 but the results are left ambiguous, even during his brief mention in thread 4.

Sisters of Battle:

Sister Palatine Farnese: Appears in thread 3 to serve as foil to Arthur Harris.

Sister Bios: Subordinate to Sisters Farnese and Kaybord, primary Sisters POV character from thread 4 onward.

Sisters Haydidi, Peasu, Grace, and the ill tempered Sister Dapter: Bios's colleagues

Kaybord: Bios's rarely mentioned direct superior
>>
Other Imperials

Rogue Trader Stannim Lherzon: Introduced as a rival of Orko in thread 1, returns to kill him in thread 3. Occasionally appears in threads 4-6 to investigate money making schemes.

Pig Shit Farmer: First appears as a humble farmer in thread 2, but in thread 3 promotes himself to Archbishop. Shows up at least once per thread in threads 4 to 6. Defacto commander of a large angry militia. Has a cat.

Admiral Gregorius Markus Agrippa Falkar: Commander of the Imperial Navy forces stationed around the planet. Appears when something needs to be blown up in space or via orbital bombardment in threads 2, 3, and 6.

Skitarii Alpha Primus Sigma-32c, Autokrator commander: Primary Skitarii POV for the threads. Appears in threads 2 to 5. Upgraded in thread 3. Rebuilt in thread 4. Only minor appearance in thread 5 and AWOL by thread 6.

Hillbillies: Clyde and John Miller. Comic relief characters from thread 2. Only want to be left alone in their swamp, drink beer, and maybe become "friends" with the neighboring Swamp Exodite Eldar but keep getting drawn into the commotion. Briefly mentioned in thread 3.

The Swamp Boat Captain: Imperial Navy Captain who is ordered to create a "swamp boat" for surface use in thread 2. Eventually returns to his ship and unsuccessfully rams Falkar's ship in a fit of rage.

Imperial Assassins: Vindicares Telius Katar and LIIIVX, occasionally mentioned in threads 2 and 3 respectively. Eversor D-10 RAP3, unleashed on Liveria near the end of thread 4, presumed dead. Callidus Delta 1546 Epsilon, reoccurring character in thread 6, master of disguise, thirsty for a certain Tau.

Jackson, Frank, Mary, Leydas: Radio host and reporters respectively for the GRN radio station. Reoccurring characters since thread 4.

Arbites Frank: Groxbridge law enforcer typically found fighting whatever baddies have over run Groxbridge in threads 5 and 6

Damnatum Lutum PDF Colonel Lekatariba: Long-suffering leader of a PDF regiment in thread 6
>>
Chaos

The Iron Warriors: Warsmith Karasseus and Sarat. POV characters who appear several times in thread 2. Overall the Iron Warriors are one of the main antagonists in thread 2, but reduced to insurgents in threads 3 to 5. Sarat reappears in threads 3 and 5 to lead the insurgency, but Karasseus himself never reappears, as Sarat bitterly complains several times on thread 5. They seem to have been defeated sometime between threads 5 and 6, since only mentioned once in thread 6.

Traitor Guardsman / Mutant Guardsman: Minor POV character from thread 1. Killed by Templars, turned into garden by Nurglites

Lord of Change: Miniboss from early part of thread 1. Killed by Diederich.

One of main antagonists up until Orko is killed by Stannim in thread 3. Following this orks only appear as minor opponents in threads 4 and 5.

Sneakyboy/Sneakyboi Little Finger: Solitary grot who shows up in threads 5 and 6 to snipe opponents on behalf of his "boss" Sister Bios, who remains unaware of his existence.

The Necrons: Lychguard Zaret Thal, takes charge of Necron forces in thread 2 when can't find his Lord. Goes back to sleep at end of thread 2. Flayed One, miniboss from thread 2. Nyadra'zatha, Arsonist of the Webway, C'tan who serves as final boss of thread 2. Killed by a Titan. Necrons return in thread 3 as major antagonists with several minor named characters, but have all but disappeared from thread 4 onward.

The Tau: Major antagonists from thread 3 onward, but only possess a few minor POV characters. Aun'El Dar'Shum, rarely mentioned commander in thread 3. Shas'O Fi'rios Lad'Ai, rarely mentioned commander in threads 5 and 6. Big Tiddy Water Caste Girl, obvious fapbait / hostage from thread 6.

The Craftworld Eldar: Ranger Tolria, tank enthusiast Belrith, Banshee/slut Eleria, Farseer Kerala, Guardian (later Avenger) Chaya, Avenger Dillen. Tolria first appears in thread 1, but doesn't become a major character until thread 3 onward, when she becomes defacto leader of the Eldar around Groxbridge. The other Eldar are generally only mentioned in passing, though Kerala gets a story arc in thread 6.

Kabal of the Frozen Heart: Dracon Wyen'dala, lazy, degenerate leader of the local Drukhari. Sybarite Trys'ta, one of Wyen'dala's sex-obsessed henchwomen. Nameless Haemonculus and subject 9114, mad science at its best. Wyen'dala shows up in threads 5 and 6, while Trys'ta, the Haemonculus, and subject 9114 only show up in thread 6.
>>
Xenos (continued)

Rak'Gols: Show up near end of thread 1, never mentioned again

Genestealers: Appear in thread 6, lead by Patriarch Krezial, defeated with minimum effort largely offscreen

Stryxis and Enoulians: Show up in thread 6, defeated in orbit after brief battle

(that is all for now, I deliberately skipped some characters who got less than 5 posts and didn't interact with the main characters in a meaningful way)

FYI, stannimposter is planning on starting the next thread December 7th
>>
Stannim & Co. poster here. The aim I had for the Eldar plot this thread was to take the Tyranid hook and have the Craft(y)worlders secure a token of assistance from the Dark Eldar in exchange for providing assistance with and access to the bident that they would then cash in when the Tyranids land to shanghai them into helping fend it off next thread. The Craftworlders in turn would themselves be roped in to helping repairing the gun array by von Rosen (not me btw) in the timeskip, which together with the Imperial fleet would severely damage but not destroy the invasion before reaching the ground.

It's entirely possible that the Tyranid invasion might still succeed, and the series ends with the overrunning and Exterminatus of the planet with an optional number of the cast escaping and, honestly, I don't see that as a bad ending. Of course, the series might just keep going but I'd rather it gets an end rather than petering out.

>>69346529
Thanks a lot for doing this, I was planning on making a wiki article for this stuff once the series had finished

>>69346621
SOP is to add three weeks plus however long it takes to get to the next Friday for the next thread.
>>
>>69346529
Tankposter (OP) here, all in all that's a fairly good list and a good start for the article. A couple factual errors though (most of these are my own fault for not being clear enough).

>Nyadra'zatha, Arsonist of the Webway and basically every other necron that was named except for the harmless ones on the moon in the 1st thread
Got killed by a Sword-class frigate crashing into a tesseract vault. The ships crashing into planets should probably also be mentioned since that managed to happen several times.

>Oswald Aspdorfer and the rest of Hans/Diederichs crew
The majority of the members of the original tank crew were from Armageddon, Diederich being the only one from Krieg because Hans got himself reassigned to a tank with an erratic machine spirit. You should also probably mention "Die Großfürstin"s machine spirit being fucky since that's been a reoccurring thing. Glad Anshelm fucking xenos made it into the article.

>Khornate Tanker King
Wasn't actually killed by Diederich, surprisingly enough, he showed up in the actual second thread which died before it was archived. Diederich killed another Khornate tanker, the Tanker King just rolled right by and then off a cliff. But since the second thread was retconned we could keep this point as it is.

>Cumstream Sam & Moonsoon
I think it's sort of implied that both died (something that I botched), they nevertheless were killed offscreen at the end of thread 5.

>Iron warriors
I'm not entirely sure if they were defeated, I think they're just hiding out and being bitter, depends on if Saratposter wants to come back for the final thread.

>Major Urquhart
Urquehart was a Praetorian not a steel legionary, I may have fucked up there too by not outright saying that. I know it's kinda anal but still.

I highly suggest reading through the archive before uploading the article, just so that we don't leave out any details in the summary.

Antonius and Edric poster here

As for the tau that are still in Liveria I don't really know what to do with them they manage to escape Damnatum Lutum or TPK that makes Edric leave the planet

As for Antonius aka the not ww1 french pilot inspired he will destroy the riptide that killed two of his men after that I do not know

And great papy Krezial the genestealer patriarch was killed by Lew better mention his kill

I personally think that it's a terrible idea to have the planet nomm'ed after all this worldbuilding. But having a big chaos portal opening while the tyrannids arrive at the other side of the planet ie at the opposite of Groxbridge like Liveria would be fun

And yes an ending-ending would be better than a "Ah shit here we go again !"
>>
>>69347611
Thanks for the clarifications, I made the changes to my personal notes, but it will be up to stannimposter what he wants to include in the wiki

The eventual wiki list of characters probably should be less detailed and more funny (when possible). I made the above list mostly to help decide which characters reoccur enough to make it into a wiki article.

If someone wants to save the above list to a pastebin or google doc it might be useful to include at the start of new threads for the benefit of new and new-ish posters.
>>
>>69347925
Hmm. Perhaps a few Tyranid ships could crash-land on the planet while new Chaos forces arrive and begin a melee-a-trois in the mud between the three factions with everybody fighting for their lives in a final battle.

And then the ending could be the message that Damnatum Lutum has endured its trial by combat, and looks towards a bright and peaceful future (...for now), unless it should be something more grimdark (but since when have we paid any attention to how things should be done?).

>>69348387
I'll put them into a Pastebin and clean it up in time for the final thread - archived.moe archives threads automatically I believe so I can refer back to here later if needed.

>>69347925
>>69348387
I like the idea of the radically different Aeldari factions and the Imperium working together to exterminate the 'nids. It's been stated that the incoming tyranid fleet was smaller than most, and since there's a battlefleet in system they shouldn't be too hard to fight.
HOWEVER, it is entirely possible that the imperials were just straight up wrong when they estimated the strenght of the 'nid fleet a second time. Of course, you still have a battlefleets worth of ships, which could easily out-gun the 'nids from a distance. It'd make sense if several of the Tyranid ships ended up being heavily damaged and eventually crash into the surface of the planet, similar to what was suggested in >>69348964
Except, maybe with, I dunno, Orks or Tau. Chaos is always an option of course if the slaaneshi/tzeenchian/etc. ritual is finally finished in Liveria. That could be a kinda cool way to connect it to the last one. With Orks you could have a gigantic melee battle on the side as the imperials shoot the 'nids from another flank. With the Tau you could have the last remnants of an invasion force having a desperate last stand against a foe that specifically fights in a way which is difficult for them to counter. Of course with chaos you also get the gigantic melee battle, but with a bit of warp on the side.

I still think we should have the thread about a month from now, mainly just so that everyone who missed the 6th one is all rested up and free of uni work. That's also kind of why I picked the 13th, I figure that's around about the time when most finals are done. If not, we could do it the 20th just to be sure, though that wait might be a bit too long. I dunno you're the one who uploads these Stannimposter, so long as you pick a convenient time, we'll all be good.

If you're reading this, Sammosposter, Templarposter, Sigmaposter, Tauposter, etc. I hope you have time to make it for the next one. It'll probably be fun, fingers crossed.
>>
>>69349642
Having a grand many-way battle would be an awesome finish to the series. Tyranids land, the cultists shit themselves and summon Chaos to save their hides, the Tau get swarmed, Orks arrive for the prospect of a good scrap and the Eldar are smug little bastards because they know the plan they are part of will work out in the end and the Dark Eldar get roped in to help out their estranged cousins. It will probably spill over into a second thread at least since we won't be able to do it justice in a single one, and some guest posters might even join in the free-for-all - maybe, if the stars alighn, Orkposter will return for the finale.

As for scheduling you're right, I'll do it on the 13th. I was concerned about it running into the Christmas period where people are occupied, but putting it in the middle of exams would be much worse.

p.s. how do you do do formatting on /tg/ like italics and bold? I'm still a bit of a newfag. Funfact, the post about being sniped by Orko in the first thread was my first ever post on 4chan.
>>
>>69350003
So far as I know, you can't do italics and bold. Or maybe you can with a gold account, I'm not sure. I hope you at least spent your 2 years of mandated lurking to learn the art of the shitpost. Honestly it's a bit surprising that your first post was THAT high quality.

Anyway, we could either split the last thread into two parts a la certain movie adaptations if it gets too big. If we don't finish the battle in one thread we finish it in a follow up thread maybe a full week later or so. We should probably aim for containing it in one thread, but if it becomes necessary to have multiple threads I won't rule out the idea. It's up to everyone else honestly. For now I'm contet to wait and hope that everyone else ends up seeing this thread so they get an idea of how number 6 ended. We may actually need to archive this thread for just that reason, now that I think about it.

We may get unlucky since the 13th is on a friday, but what the hell, 13 is the holy number of the emperor! We'll be fine maybe.
>>
>>69344689
Dell here, was planning on sneaking to Liveria and kidnapping a lot more water caste. The I was going to use them for leverage to try to force a withdrawal of forces. Or, failing that, dumping the big titty water caste and running with what’s left of the 531st

And Monica, the civilians and the sisters
>>
>>69350503
It was a nice introduction to /tg/ and 4chan certainly (better than making a faux pas and being called a fag, heh), even if it isn't really representative. I'm not /b/ material and prefer to lurk unless I have something constructive to say. And it wasn't just my first post but the first time I had even ventured into 4chan so it really was right place, right time, but I've been drifting around suptg and 1d4 for about a year so I'm about halfway to my shitposting license if you count that.

Since it's the end we should pull out all the stops on this, chapter length be damned and breaking it across weeks would ruin the flow.

This thread being on Friday the 13th would have been just fucking perfect.
>>
>>69350789
>And it wasn't just my first post but the first time I had even ventured into 4chan
Christ, then that post really was a wonder.

Anyway, in the end we'll have to wait and see what happens. Archiveanon, you know what to do. Mention something about Tankerposter being absent minded, we could call it, "the intermission edition" or someting. Despite the thread name, it might be good to have on the archive so everyone knows where to be on the 13th.

>>69349642
Oops, I completely forgot about the Liveria ritual, it may come in handy if we want Chaos to come back as a major opponent in the next threads.

What is the status of Stonehenge? It had some pretty bad warp corruption this thread, do we assume everything was fixed by the Inquisitors next thread?

Also, where is this final epic battle going to take place? In Groxbridge or are we attacking one of the other cities?

Stonehenge is beat up from the battle and covered in a lot of rust and vines. I was planning on going along with the plans for using the bident to stabilise the warp offscreen and having the Craftworlders roped in to fixing it in preparation for the Tyranid arrival.

The battle would take place where people decide it takes place, of course. If it's to be a multi-way clusterfuck it'll spill over everywhere but the bulk would probably happen around Groxbridge, since it's the centre of the series. Maybe it'll even revisit the killing fields from the first two threads?
>>
>>69350630
Raiding the main enemy city and somehow capturing enough hostages to get the Tau to withdraw from the planet / parts of the planet seems like a pretty long shot plan, particularly since we won't even see it get carried out due to the time jump. I guess there are a couple of possibilities depending on what people want:
- Plan somehow works, Tau withdraw from certain areas, or perhaps the entire planet if people are really tired of them, tau girl will be safe (unless something happens to her after being returned) and the Callidus has a good chance to infiltrate the Tau command structure.
- Someone (probably Bios or the Callidus) derails the plan because it is too unlikely to succeed, or some other reason. Tau girl is either toast, escapes, or the Callidus rescues her.
- APC gets ambushed and/or raid gets called off / fails for whatever reason. Tau girl is either rescued by Callidus, toast, escapes, or transferred to the custody of one of the Imperials.

Speaking of time jumps, are we planning on basically returning the planet to its original thread 1/2 spring muddy, rainy weather? How many weeks is the time jump?

If it is going to go forward you could maybe say that the Shas'O thinks that the Imperium doesn't know what an Ethereal is and decides/is ordered to preserve the 'secret' by just going along with the deal. Maybe also taking into account the fact that at this point they can't possibly win the war and the Shas'O sees it as a way to cut Tau losses as much as possible.

Also probably too minor to really worry about but Amarus Instantius (gue'vesa from the Stonehenge battle) is probably dead. I was originally going to have him survive the bombardment and sneak back to the other town then either join the fight over Stonehenge or be evacuated to the mainland depending on the rest of the thread, but I didn't get a chance to get in. Surviving a lance strike almost directly on top of him was kind of a long shot anyway tbqh. This was fun though, I'll probably be back in the next thread for more non-Imperial perspective. I only did Tau because they were important but didn't have any perspective (at the time) and had to wiki pretty much everything about them, but I definitely appreciate them as a faction a lot more.
>>
>>69353784
Oh wait, idea! When the APC shows up, that could be when orcs/chaos/etc show up in Liveria. And thats about when everyone decides that Groxbridge is a better place to be, and turns right back around. How’s that?
>>
>>69353120
Stonehenge as a whole probably isn't battered up more than it previously was, the island itself though probably got a bit fucked up. Lance batteries are some scary shit. The chaotic corruption stemming from the mansion was probably dealt with by the fuckton of phosphex dropped on it by the inquisition, but if some remained the inquisition and the admech might be able to deal with it together.

The big Tyranid fight would probably take place between Groxbridge and Stanley, near lake Amble. The most biomass would probably be there, so it'd make sense for them to attack there to begin with. Daemons could rush down from the north and we could have a giant battle on the ground while the two naval forces duke it out.

I suggest the timeskip brings us to roughly the same in-universe date the first thread began on, which was somewhere in June I'd wager.

...Which is why >>69355993 probably wouldn't work. In-universe timing and such. It sounds cool, but it might be best to have them crash out to the other side of the city.

>>69355519
That could work, but it's likely that the Admiral would probably shoot the living shit out of their damaged ships as they try to leave the system. The Shas'O might at least consider it a possibility and not go along with it immediatly. Then again their course of action is down to whoever decides to post as them. I'm glad you showed up again to help out the thread by posting as the other guys though, good to have you with us. I hope you stick around for the next thread fren.
>>
>>69357646
I realised Stonehenge would be tougher than that soon after i wrote the post. The Medina-South Bay area probably resembles pic related.

If the Tyranids are crash-landing, I'm not sure they would have much of a choice where they land though that location does make sense. Multiple bioships means they could land in multiple locations to give the Tau a mauling as well. Given the galactic location I think the Tyranids are most likely to be a remnant splinter of Hive Fleet Kraken or possibly Gorgon, though it is p̶o̶s̶s̶i̶b̶l̶e̶̶̶ almost certain a new Hive Fleet could have shown up the hundred or so years since canon or they could have been from another Fleet that got dragged into the Warp and spat out somewhere else, as has been known to happen.

I had the first thread pegged as June, and this thread took place in mid-March so it works out.
>>

so how do the seasons work then?

thread 1 - june
thread 2 - july
thread 3 - august
thread 4 - november
thread 5 - january
thread 6 - march
thread 7 - june

I had the estimates as follows:

Thread 1 - June
Thread 2 - August
Thread 3 - September
Thread 4 - November
Thread 5 - January
Thread 6 - March
Thread 7 - June #2

Note that these are months based on the seasons rather than Earth calendar months. Since Damnatum Lutum's orbital period is significantly shorter (266d), each 1/12th-annum month is ~22 Earth days long or ~28 local solar days (solar day is just under 19h) as set out in the pastebin.

I do think I mentioned there being a new hive fleet that had arrived in the galaxy during thread 5, could be those guys swinging up to go kill von Rosen. Since sneakboiposter mentioned his original WAAAAAAAAAGH having been eaten up by 'nids, it could be that the already heavily damaged new hive fleet (name pending) replenished itself by eating a bunch of Orks and then headed toward Damnatum Lutum to stop Stonehenge being activated. We can assume that the 'nids would have some way of knowing just what Stonehenge is and where it is (likely lictors), and that it going online would be very, VERY bad for them.

The lictors thought process might be something like:
>Big gun look at sky
>Gun shoot things
>Gun looking up means gun shoot at space
>Hive ship is in space
>Gun shoot at hive ship
>Hive ship dying = bad
>Big gun = bad

Genestealers could probably just communicate that the gun is dangerous to the hive mind in a more straightforward fashion.

As to just how the ships would land, we have the spooky fucks in pic related. It's likely that the 'nids would want to knock out Groxbridge and Stanley first as they combined have the largest amount of biomass, after which they might assault every other city on the planet.
Of course, there's an entire battlefleet in orbit to gore the 'nids before they can finish their master plan of crashing this planet with no survivors, but that's not to say that they can't still gather some biomass.

That brings me to another thing actually, the shadow in the warp. Since that fucks up psykers and Aeldari a lot I have to assume that the Aeldari can eventually recover from its effects. That and the long time it takes for fleets to arrive motivated me to detail a post from the Admiral describing the arrival of the 'nids. But... y'know.
Anyway, what could the Aeldari do beforehand to mitigate the effects of the shadow in the warp? What about after the fleet shows up?

Tyranids have been referenced a few of times, it was mentioned a couple of times this thread that a Hive Fleet was a few months away

Since I imagine this as a splinter fleet or minor tendril rather than a main Hive Fleet (because a full fleet would roflstomp everything in its path), I don't think the Shadow would be as powerful as it could be for an engagement with one of the latter.

As for its effects? I'm not sure. Evidently it can't fuck the Eldar up *that* badly, since otherwise all of Iyanden would have keeled over from its effects during their battle with HF Kraken. I reckon it causes nasty headaches and nosebleeds and people like Kerala would be worse off than your average Eldar. I'm not sure what they could do to mitigate it.

I think the Admiral's post chronicling the approach of the Fleet would be a good in-medias-res thread opener, if you want to share it I could use it to start off. E.g. the episode opener starts with the Admiral talking about the approach of the Fleet and preparations for it (FORTIFYFORTIFYFORTIFY, reinforcements, Shadow hardening, preparations for potential Exterminatus, PANIC etc.) and closes with the first shots of the space battle being fired while everyone on the ground is getting ready to fight for their lives.
>>
>>69362211
But the genestealer have been wiped out tho
>>
>>69363116
The post from the admirals POV wouldn't have been anything special, really just detailing him assblasting Tau, then noticing his Astropath screeching unendingly, after which he realises "Oh shit, the 'nids have arrived", slightly panicking and finally it would be revealed that the fleet is exactly 3 months away from Lutum, meaning that they'd actually engage them roughly at the beginning of the 6th thread.

Now the reason I've told you what it WOULD have included is because I never actually wrote it down. I had an idea, but I didn't write it down because I like to wait for everyone else to make a few posts before posting again (excluding extended posts). I do this to let others react and see the plot play out in different ways, however what I did not expect was for the thread to die before anyone else posted. So I just never wrote it down.
I think the thread starting with everyone being in defensive positions and braced for the impact of the fleet arriving might work a little bit better. Where we start in the course of events is up to Stannimposter since he'll be our OP.

Relating to the Tyranid fleet though: If it's the new hive fleet that arrived and got its shit kicked the fuck in by a bunch of necrons its numbers would probably be reduced to a manageable amount. Lets say they take extreme casualties, 85% of its biomass was left by the end of the engagement, after which the fleet somehow escaped (maybe Helbrecht was around and engaged the necrons). After their spat the fleet is reduced to below average splinter-fleet size, and gores an ork WAAAAAAGH in space. By the time it arrives near Lutum it might be at, what, 20% of its original size? That vs most of a battlefleet might be a fair fight.

>>69364280
Yeah, I know, but since they were on the island with Stonehenge on it there's no reason for them not to have communicated its existence back to the hive fleet. Unless they just can't for whatever reason and I'm fucking up how Genestealers work.
>>
>>69365393
By the way, you've been talking to Stannimposter the whole time. Heh, that title is more an artifact now since Stannim has faded into the background in favour of other characters more pertinent to the plot. He'll come to the front again in time for the end, though.

As far as the Shadow goes I gather it is fairly short range, preceding the fleet by only a week or possibly two so psykers wouldn't start exploding until the Fleet was nearly on top of them. Since bioships are really stealthy and often show up with very little warning I presume the splinter fleet has been actively tracked along its trail of destruction and misfortune for some time. In keeping with the official naming scheme, I propose to name the Hive Fleet this splinter fleet originated from as Hive Fleet Minotaur. The story of the Fleet being treated as a football is good.

>you've been talking to Stannimposter the whole time
I kind of doubt that since I saw the poster count go up several times but whatever. I always knew it was really you, alpharius!

On a more serious note, I think von Rosen would be actively tracking the fleet since he really doesn't like Tyranids, killing Tyranids from space has basically been his motivation for doing things so far. I'm glad I at least avoided fucking up by having the Astropath immediately notice the shadow in the void, though if I'm not mistaken the beacon genestealers give off can be noticed by psykers can't it? I'd imagine the itself fleet would probably have a pretty big psychic footprint, but again, it's possible that I'm talking out of my ass here.
However, considering the amount of ace combat references so far in these thread, I suggest we call the fleet "Hive Fleet Garmr". It'd put a nice little bow on top of Stonehenge, Foulke and the one Fury fighting Orks.

I imagine the arrival of a hive fleet would bring an end to this twisted game, too.

I meant most of the conversation on that topic had been with me.

I think the Shadow can be noticed from much greater distances by psykers but in the sense of a feeling of dread and darkness rather than crazy town, so they would pick up on it but only vaguely.

Garmr is perfect, but for one thing - there already is a Hive Fleet Garmr kicking about, and a Hive Fleet Grendel too (there's over 30 named so far). How about Gleipnir?
>>
oh and bump so the thread stays until tomorrow in case it's needed

>>69369313
If you want to use a canon hive fleet, Gorgon, Kronos, Dagon, splinters of Kraken, and a new hive fleet called Scitalis are all known to operate near Tau space.

It is kind of a miracle the Tau still exist (aside from the obvious fact they have massive amounts of plot armor)
>>
>>69370987
I think an existing Hive Fleet has a significant chance of being halted or reaching much further into the galaxy by the time this takes place, so it makes it more difficult to work with.
>>
>>69344689

>>
>>69369313
I'm a little surprised I managed to miss the existence of that hive fleet, but in keeping with the naming scheme of hive fleets (and at the same time making it a little bit of an ace combat reference) I suggest we call the new hive fleet "Hive Fleet Grábakr". Grábakr being one of the many big snakes gnawing on the branches of Yggdrasil, and also being the inspiration for Grabacr squadron's name.

>>69374469
See, that's the thing, for the fists to be around I can only assume that the system is fairly close to the Segmentum Obscurus. For the smurfs to have been around, the system must be relatively close to the realm of Ultramar. This might put the system somewhere in the middle of the Ultima Segmentum. It's either that or the 5th company of the fists decided that they'd show up and help out a besiged planet after finishing whatever they were doing before, as well as the system being either in or close to the realm of Ultramar. If it's in the middle, a canon hive fleet likely couldn't get to it. If it's close to Ultramar, they probably could.
BUUUUUUUUUT, since we've (mostly) kept canon characters, specific regiments and so on (excluding space marine chapters) I think it'd be best if we made up our own football-like hive fleet.

>>69374632
Yeah dude, go ahead. We've posted this on /tg/, a public board accessible to anyone with an internet connection and no restriction on what websites they can view, if it was private the first OP would never have started all of this by uploading the thread here. I can understand your confusion though.
One thing to note though: If you're who I think you are (the guy with the new group of marines), I suggest you have your own fleet arrive at the same time as the Tyranid fleet did, because the shadow in the warp makes space navigatio to and from an effected system fucky. It'll be fun to have a new fren with us, whatever the case though.
>>
>>69375991
Personally I had placed Damnatum Lutum shortly to the galactic southeast of Ultramar thanks to its proximity to Ultramar, the Tau and Tyranids, but on second thoughts I might revise that to somewhere in Charadon Sector since I think that works as a better position.

Fists do usually stick to Obscuris and Tempestus, but it's not unheard of for them to show as far as the Eastern Fringe as in the case of the Nimbosa Crusade. In the post-Noctis Aeterna period, it's not far-fetched to imagine chapters taking on duties and being sent to places they don't normally do or go.
>>
>>69378485
I dunno about the Charadon sector, There'd probably be a lot more Orks around if that was the case. Maybe the Badab sector?

Badab would explain why the battlefleet can just sort of sit around in a single system and aiding the fighting there, because the Star Phantoms themselves would be off dealing with other shit. It wouldn't explain why the Star Phantoms aren't there to fight off the incoming 'nids or help the other Astartes. Lets say that they're off dealing with, I dunno, another Ork WAAAAGH in the area, OR crushing another smaller Tyranid splinter fleet. If they were busy doing that it'd give a good explanation for why the fists are there, since their bros are busy fighting off xenos in another part of the sector they can't defend Lutum, so they and the smurfs decided to step up to the plate.
>>
>>69381288
The Badab sector is getting a bit too far from the Tau and is far from the galactic fringe under Tyranid threat (Leviathan-style notwithstanding). It's already been stated a few times we're close to Ultramar.

I suppose no placement will quite work perfectly.
>>
The Styrixs are not done and out man, the oribital "fleet" was supposed to be a random caravan that wasn't involved with the Huntmaster. Well, once I posted, but I've been a busy anon.
>>
>>69382481
Hmm... what about the Loki sector? If the Crimson Fists were fighting Orks or something and then a chaotic incursion happened followed by the same planet coming in the path of a Tyranid hive fleet, both the Smurfs and the Imperial Fists would probably show up to help. Fists because it's one of their successor chapters and they're in the neighbourhood, smurfs because they'd like not to have to deal with more shit going on in their backyard. Basically, replace the Star Phantoms in the earlier scenario with the Crimson Fists and we're good.

>>69382668
Ooooooh right, I guess I'm just an idiot and missed that somehow. That brings up another question though, how did they manage to land without being detected by the battlefleet? And without the merchant fleet, how are they gonna get out? It better be some form of stolen and modified webway gate or I will be thoroughly disappointed.
Should be noted though that Stonehenge would probably be heavily defended after it was recaptured. There'd probably be a bunch of Eldar around Stonehenge too, I suppose the Stryxis could have some form of locker room wrestling out in the open with them.

Hmm. Loki works better with the Tyranids but it's absolutely crawling with orks and is just as far from UM/Tau as Badab.

RE Orks, I took a look at the handy map and started drawing some lines.....
>>
>>69383293
That map is a little misleading since the Orks don't actually control all of the territory it shows that they do, Balor for example is currently under the control of the inquisition, but yeah there'd be a fuckload of Orks around. Which would also partially explain why there are so many ships in Battlefleet Lutum, though it wouldn't explain why they're just hanging around in a single system. That could be explained away by Segmentum Command knowing just about the path of the new Tyranid hive fleet after it had a run in with the necrons and deciding to pull a Kursk on them, except in space. The people lower down the chain of command wouldn't know about the incoming hive fleet to avoid them spreading the info of it and thereby inciting massive amounts of panic in the men on the ground.

As for its proximity to Macragge, the smurfs might either have the info of the Hive Fleets path and decide to act or wished to prevent chaos from gaining another foothold so (relatively) close to their HQ.

The Tau might either have had a fuck up in the warp and gotten spat out somewhere convenient for them to join in, or they deliberately decided to attack the planet knowing what Stonehenge is capable of. The latter is likely enough since I highly doubt the Tau expected to run into as much resistance as they did. A raid that deep in imperial territory would be very risky, but if they succeeded they would have gotten away with a reward more than worth the risk.

The fists are fairly good at defending stuff so if the fists got the info every other high-ranking commander did then they would probably sign up to help defend this semi-agri world.

So many guard regiments could've been sent in to both secure the planet and split up the 'nids into fighting both in space and on the ground.

This is all a bit of a gigantic fucking retcon so we could just ignore all of that and say "they're in an area of the Ultima segmentum convenient enough that all the fighting can happen".
>>
>>69384420
I know there is no real Ork zone of control per se, the green zones are just where there is a hell of a lot of Orks so they count as de facto Ork zones.

Most of the reasons people are here on Damnatum Lutum were never really explained so it would be more of a huge arc welding project than an information-changing retcon.
>>
>>69385101
I don't think it is that complicated really.
Orks, particularly Freebootas, can show up anywhere, same with Eldar and Dark Eldar.
Pretty much any world can end up being an isolated Tomb World, Necron Fleets can again go anywhere.
Specific Nid fleets are theoretically constrained to certain areas, but if we make up our own that is not an issue.
Imperial Guard and Space Marine Chapters end up far from their home territories all the time in canon material. There isn't really a good explanation for this, other than that warp travel doesn't obey the rules of reality so distances in real space aren't necessarily reflective of how long travel takes in warp. It has also been hinted in some secondary sources that the Imperials can access small parts of the webway but keep this fact very secret.
The three minor xenos species encountered so far are all from the Calixis region, but not much is known about them so they could have outposts elsewhere, particularly if they used the Jericho May Warp Gate.
I think the only real limiting factor is the Tau, since it is well established they can't travel anywhere fast. They could have found some portal or other gizmo that allows them to strike far from their territory, but based on the fact that no one has ever commented on their presence being strange we are likely near Tau territory.
Also, I tend to imagine that all the green text stories are somehow linked together, and the Tau feature prominently in many of them.

The Dark Eldar leading the Tau there with a line of bullshit when they really just wanted meatshields to help them go after the fuckoff huge bident (and probably betray afterward) is also a possibility. That lets them be farther from their territory than they would normally be, and I'm pretty sure they defer to the Dark Eldar leader in the last thread so there's some support for that without a retcon.

That seems logical, though I think it would have to be one hecking big Webway portal to fit Tau warships. Of course it's up to Druchiiposter/anyone who writes Tau next
>>
>>69388248
The Dark Eldar only tell the Tau about the bident in thread 6 once they realize how bad the Chaos ritual below Stonehenge is. It is possible though that they told the Tau about Stonehenge to keep it out of the hands of Chaos.

The Tau defer to them only during the time period between thread 5 and 6 since the Dark Eldar told them about one of the tunnels to get to Stonehenge, and they are desperate for any fighting support from the Dark Eldar. It is implied that the new wave of Tau reinforcements and the Tau-Chaos alliance is making the Tau less reliant on the Dark Eldar.
>>
>>69390518
How long does it take for the snowmelt to drain? The terrain was pretty flooded in thread 6, are things more or less flooded in thread 7.
>>
>>69392031
The rivers are dangerously high but Groxbridge and the towns of the Grox Valley are mostly OK thanks to their flood control structures. Liveria on the other hand; being lower-lying, with no protection and near bigger watercourses, was not so lucky. Snowmelt floods usually ease off within a month or two, but since Lake Liverius is huge with restricted outlets it will have a lot of waterlevel inertia so it could take several months to go down.
>>
>>69388248
>>69391621
It's also possible that the Tau fleet is using temporarily borrowed Dark Eldar stuff to perform the raid, given to them by the DE so they could be used as meatshields. It should be noted though that, as far as we know, the one Ethereal whos POV the first taupost came from is still alive. If he wasn't alive the Tau would probably already have surrendered, so really the one person the DE would have to keep under their thumb would be him.

How bad is the chaotic corruption under Stonehenge anyway? The inquisition would probably send down teams to deal with it after they captured the island, are they hiding in the tunnels connected to Stonehenge?

>>69392259
As Liveria is currently under siege, it could be that the fist had the big set of flood walls that most likely exist to protect the southern flank of the city destroyed via artillery bombardment. Wouldn't be too surprising since it'd probably cause swathes of the city to be impractical to defend.
>>
Should Ortan Cassius show up instead of the others ultramarines because of the nids?
>>
>>69394625
Probably not since we already have so many space marines kicking about.
