You are 1 of 5 Xenomorph eggs laying dormant in an Alien craft of unknown origin, you do not know which species the craft belongs.

You are a...

A) Praetorian facehugger.
B) Just your average facehugger.
C) Blank.

C. Shits about to get weird.

To clarify the system we will be using.

I'll have you guys vote on an option and we'll use a d100 system, similar to DH.

Because this is a Xenomorph quest and Xenos are a hive mind, you will be playing with 2 to 3 different main PCs, I found this would be better suited to making a quest revolving around this setting.

Aliens are like ants and such, they have different purpose in the Hive, the warrior would be like Big Chap in the 1st movie, big and powerful.
Drones are smaller and weaker than warriors.
Paetorians are scaled up warriors whose job is to protect the queen, they don't appears in any of the movies, only in the comics/vidyas.

You suddenly come to consciousness.
An unstoppable, primal instinct takes over you, but fades as quickly as it came upon you.
For all intents and purposes, you are the first sentient and intelligent facehugger to ever walk the universe.

You take a moment to gather yourself, before leaving your egg.

You know that you are destined for greatness, your large stature would give another being this impression if one were to see you.

You are a Praetorian facehugger, capable of impregnating another creature with an embryo which would mature into an adult Praetorian strain Xenomorph, and eventually a Queen.

Foot steps echo around the room, your egg stirs...

A host approaches.

The footsteps stop; "Delta 499. this is Survey 6. I'm not sure what i'm looking at here, but it's definitely not Human by design. I recommend you contact the Medical and Sciences division back at colonial 1, this is HUGE!"

"Roger that Survey 6, get some footage and report back in 30, Deta 499 out."

The foot steps continue they sound as if they are passing below you.

What do you do?

A) Free form. what do?

"Delta 499, I think I see something... Organic, above me, in the vents. I'm going to take a look."

The room is silent.

"Delta 499, do you copy?"

Nothing.

"Damn radio's out!"

The steps stop directly beneath you and a lound clanging noise is heard, followed by what sounds like something sliding downwards. eventually a figure peers over the top of your open egg.

Following your instincts you pounce.
You melt through the protective glass covering the Humans face and latch yourself to the head with ease.

You feel your conciousness shift, leaing the facehugger you once called yourself, briefly.

You know reside within the comatose body of the unfortunate sod, unlucky enough to peek into your egg.

24 hours later.

You start feeling claustrophobic, constricted. You need to get out.

You Burst through the survey team members body, and... Find yourself blinded by surgical lights above an operating theatre.

You're also, very fucking hungry.

Around you you see several small ventilation shafts, as well as an open door, to which someone is currently running.

Embarrassing, i forgot to include the text.

Taking this opportunity of confusion and panic, you make a break for the nearest ventilation shaft.

You make it into a vent and take note of your surroundings, you are completely capable of moving through these vents without any trouble, for now.
You feel the need to find food and begin your transition towards adulthood.

Following the scent of meat you find yourself hypnotically attracted towards some kind of white room filled with cages of animals, who collectively lose their shit at the site of you.

You feast.

Time Skip 2 days.
Having had ample time to feast on the animals, you have grown to the size of a regular drone sized Xenomorph.
The Animals have been exhausted and you still have growing to do. But as it stands right now. Perhaps your could expand your colony, if only you were to gather live prey for the other 4 eggs.

You have been able to ascertain, that station is primarily a scientific vessel, very lightly armed, with 3 armed personnel, one of whom is not alive, or at least not Human like the other 10 individuals.

The atmosphere on board is tense, but you feel safe knowing they believe you are 50cms long and not a 'serious' threat.

The medical bay is usually occupied by 1 person,

Using the ventilation systems, you carefully, and meticulously make your way towards the armory of the outpost station.

You hear a voice cut through silence, “Fred, Daniel and I have just gone into the holding cells, and it is a FUCKING MESS, I can take an educated guess at what caused this, but everything is dead. What the fuck was that thing?”

“Jamie, are you okay, is anything moving over there?!” You hear the Synthetic now named Fred reply as he quickly stands and rushes towards the armoury door.

AJmmie responds over the intercom “No, no sign of the… ‘Thing’, can you grab a rifle from the armoury and meet us at the holding cells? Just in case.”

“Already on it, 5 minutes away.” Fred begins to reach for a badge on his shirt.

Instinctually you are able to discern the location of your original location and after exiting the station you find that the habitat is acceptable for the Human hosts, perhaps the suit from earlier was just a protective measure, none the less, you present the body to a unhatched egg and after a few seconds, you have an implanted embryo growing within the body of the ‘former’ James.

+ Can we go outside the craft and destroy those nasty human communication devices?

You take the moment to observe the facility and see the 3rd person waiting outside the medical bay holding a flame device, the door is currently closed but looks like it’s been jury rigged to open at a moment’s notice.

The other 2 within the facility itself are both uninjured, although the Doctor who is panicked and talking quickly is wearing a leg brace, he is unarmed.

The other person is holding a pistol in her left hand by her side and ndding her head in acknowledgment of the doctors words, she looks scared and worried, she is wearing a jumpsuit and a tool belt.

The room has very little cover, but you think you could reach the 2 inside with very little effort if you took a running start.

You examine your options and you…

A) Take a few steps back and jump towards the Doctor.
B) Take a few steps back and jump towards the jumpsuited armed woman.
C) Go elsewhere (Where).
D) Other.

2 are armed, one with a pistol within the medical bay, one outside the door with the flamer.
You are able to hear talk about a colonial navy and xenomorphs, that is all.

D) Try to make noise somehow, making the Doctor panic and luring the guard inside. After that using the vents rush towards where the guards was and wait for him to come back then go for him as silently as possible without the two idiots in the medical bay noticing.

This your calling, you drop out of the ventilation shaft above you and begin slicing up cables and smashing monitors, your rampage has a noticeable effect on the lighting within the station as the lights begin to dim, until eventually a black out shuts down the power, you hear a siren alarm as a mechanical voice echoes from the comms systems,

“Fusion meltdown emergency procedures in place, emergency shut down in effect, back up generators online, station electrical report to station power for damage control”.

This message repeats 3 times before it ceases.

The red lights within the station burst to life and illuminate the room, you are in your element.

With your distraction in the power station proving successful, you have little trouble passing through the station proper without trouble.

You find yourself back on the alien craft with another host, and food for the NOW hatched chestburster awaiting you, having already begun feasting upon the former Security officer, James.
You leave the extra crispy guard by the next egg , which you entice open with the comatose doctor.

You now have in your hive:
1 x Drone chest burster.
1 x Implanted Security guard.
1 x (almost adult) Praetorian xenomorph.

You feel as if you should rest after you eat, instincts tell you to make a queen.

I think we should relocate, perhaps to a different part of the alien ship.
If we metamorphose too soon, moving about in stealth will be nearly impossible, and it will be more difficult to move from place to place as a queen.
I submit that we first relocate to a different part of the ship, and then use up one more egg, leaving the other in reserve.
Once we have three drones we can consider metamorphosing and then sending the drones out to bring new hosts to the fledgling hive.

OP

Does the station have any possibility for setting up automated turrets?
>>
>>43388115

That's not how it works, bro.

A Praetorian Facehugger is born from a Royal Egg, it's purestrain, specifically calibrated to discard Host DNA for the Praetorian / Queen / Carrier / Ravager / Empress line of growth.

Normal eggs take host DNA so the Hive can be better adapted to the environment they find themselves in. The ONLY exceptions to this are when people do genetic fuckery the likes of which result in K-series Aliens with their Predalien Queen and other abominations.
>>
It's interesting to note that Xenomorph Hives apparently practice sustainable harvests.

Like, in AVP2, the game, not the shit movie, that planet has like, 8 Queens, some smaller hives, an Empress, and a megahive, and the surrounding lands still had appreciable levels of Wildlife.

Then again, some species of Ants practice animal husbandry and farming, and Xenomorphs are apparently find-tuned enough to survive in space for decades on end, so they probably don't even need to eat that much, and over-harvesting Hosts can only be a bad thing.
>>
>>43388206

You remember how the holding cells where previously you had eaten everything, has now been locked down by the station personnel; a good place to start your fledgling hive.

You collect the remaining two eggs and the comatose doctor, and begin the trek back towards Colonial 1, the chestburster coils up your leg and wraps itself around you securely.

Upon arriving at the station, you notice that the power is still down and the red, emergency lights are still flashing. Good.

You begin bringing the eggs into the holding cells as well as the doctor and you ensure the chestburster is safely tucked away in the nearby ventilation shaft as it begins it’s first stages of metamorphisising into a drone.

You are now too large to fit into the ventilation shafts, from here on out, you may only stalk the halls as a 9 foot tall behemoth, Jesus Christ, how terrifying.

A) Grab the guard and feast; it is time to morph into a queen.
B) The metamorphosis can wait, we need more drones.

If so I'd suggest we subdue them all at once if possible, so we don't have them trying to hunt us or building fortifications.
If we can afford to pick one or two off without them noticing us, I suggest we do that and then metamorphose.
>>
>>43388251

>>43388241

I find it interesting that Purestrain aliums apparently don't suffer from age, the only time we see a Praetorian / Queen / Empress in disrepair or debilitated is when they are captive and can't really take care of themselves, or have their drones do it.

Then again, I suppose they could be like tarantulas, living for a frankly obscene amount of time until they can have an exoskeleton so strong they can't molt it and die from the pressure, though this is really, really unlikely for something like a Xenomorph.

For reference, a tarantula can apparently live upwards around thirty five years, barring fungal infection or the difficulties of strong exoskeletons mentioned above.
>>
>>43388272
D) and B) if no one else has a problem?

>>43388289
You have had time to overcome your superficial wounds, as the flamers were using rudimentary flammable liquids.

Growing up has fucked up the stealth benefit we had damn.
Go to Residence 1 and start patrolling from there to the next residence blocks until we find someone. Doing the patrolling as quietly and stealthily as possible.
>>
>>43388280
In that case, I'd submit that we should metamorphose now and begin to fortify our own position, and let drones do the recon once they're fully grown.

>>43388295
They are the ultimate predator, it makes sense they are effectively ageless.
>>
>>43388295

Don't forget the ability to spawn endless more lesser forms to do the stealth for you.

Or more Praetorians, they don't molt into Queens unless their mother is dead or have been out of contact for a extended period of time.

Speaking of which, Are Arachnid-xenomorphs a thing? Facehuggers that fucked around long enough for the chestburster embryos inside of them to say "Fuck it" and impregnate the facehugger?

Apparently they produce very strong Hive-webbing and are very good at digging because of the multiple legs.

Taking the next few hours of quiet, you begin attempting to mimic the human speech you have heard.
You believe this could come in hand for luring prey into traps, or possibly distracting guards or hosts.

You need more hosts before you metamorphisise into a queen, the process is lengthy and you are currently without guards.

Your hive consists of

1 x Chestburster(From the doctor)
1 x adolescent Drone(Metamophisising.)

Once we have three drones we should then metamorphose.
>>
>>43388392
If no objections, I'm going to do a time skip and take us up until both Drones have fully grown, 3 days in total would have passed.
>>
Reminder that the marines are coming and know about us.
Open a hole and look for someone to bring to the nest. We need more drones.
>>
>>43388414
Two drones sounds good.

But we should start preparing for the Marines.
>>
>>43388414
Sounds good. A team of two stealth drones can wreck shit.
>>
>>43388418

Unless they had Marines on-hand it's going to take them months at the very least.

And besides, when the Marines do arrive they probably won't have a Protagonist-level Operator to operate operatingly on our ass.

It is time to rest.

3 days pass…

You are unable to move around the vents as a fully grown praetorian strain Xenomorph, and spend your time guarding the hive, the two adult Drones you helped propagate are completely under your control, you are their queen for all intents and purposes.

What do you have them do?

2 x adult Drones.
2 x unhatched eggs.
1 x Adult praetorian.
A) Have the drones split up. (Where do they go?)
B) We SAS now(Have them go together to a place on the station.)
C) Other.

Also, name the drones, so we can identify them and make actions/rolls easily.
>>
>>43388431
Problem is that if we have gotten everyone in here before Marines arrive once they do initial recon they will most likely just nuke us.

So we need to be prepared for them and hit them hard - and infest their ship so we can continue spreading
>>
>>43388431

You do not know how close the Marines are/were, when you overheard the Doctor, but from the general atmosphere, you are able to ascertain comfortably that the hopelessness of the personnel means they are not very close.
>>
B) Together patrolling residence, looking for one, hopefully two humans for the eggs assuming they probably have their guard down after 3 days of no activity.
>>
>>43388447
B: After initial recon of current human activities, try to gather more hosts

Drones are Doc and Number 1 ?
>>
>>43388447
Raptor and Dildo :3

B) We SAS now(Have them go together to a place on the station.)
>>
>>43388449

Exactly we better just remain stealthy and keep some of the people aboard alive.

That way the marines have to board the facility and we can try to hop aboard their strike cruiser.
>>
B it is.

Also vote on, raptor and dildo, or Doc and number 1.
>>
>>43388449

Would radiation even do shit to Xenomorphs?

I mean, background radiation in fucking space didn't do anything to them, so if we can survive the initial nuke det we should be perfectly fucking fine.

Colonial Marines never happened, you fucking cocksucker.
>>
>>43388481
Raptor and Dildo
>>
>>43388472
Seconding this.
Also lets call our Praetorian Spooky, in honor of the earlier discussion of spook skeletals, Halloween, and that asteroid.
>>
>>43388492
Spooky, the praetorian, and raptor and Dildo the drone bros.
You instruct the Drones to patrol the ventilation shafts and find suitable hosts for the remaining two eggs.
Eager to please, the drones scurry off together.
Eventually the come across a fortified residence just past the armoury you trashed earlier this week.
There are 6 people inside, 3 are awake and holding flamers as well as being armed with small calibre side arms.

Two are playing cards at a table whilst a 3rd is slowly making rounds, checking on the 3 people sleeping on the nearby bunks.

The room is dark, illuminated by the red lights, barely.
Only the 3 awake are armed, and you notice they are playing underneath a covered ventilation shaft and that they have their flamers leaning against the table on which they are palying cards.

Hive consists of:

2 x adult Drones.
2 x unhatched eggs.
1 x Adult praetorian.

A) Have the drones split up. (Where do they go?)
B) Attack the card playing guards (2d100[One for each drone])
C) Attack the patrolling guard.
D) Observe.
E) Other.
>>
>>43388486

Eh, I would say it depends.

Like, a Purestrain xenomorph would probably be fine unless the Preatorian Facehugger got a burst and the embryo inside it was vulnerable, I'm assuming the Eggs themselves are heavily insulated against....everything.

A Drone strain? Probably vulnerable to it, because their hosts are vulnerable to it and the drone strains get information from Host DNA, which the radiation could damage.
>>
>>43388486
Station where we are seems quite small. One (or a bombardment) of space-nukes would hurt.

And radiation would probably prevent other potential prey from arriving.
>>
>>43388533
Have one drone try and draw one or two of the guards outside of the fortified room.
If we can draw two of the guards out, have the other drone drag the remaining guard into the vent.
>>
>>43388533
Take out the lights (thrash wires and systems in corridors), then attack the patrolling one?
>>
>>43388533
Have a drone go outside into the hall, and claw at the door, make a noise, then run away. Seconds later have a drone at the vent grab a guy and carry him inside back to the hive
>>
>>43388551
If alarmed they will most likely just wake up them all -> more difficult to get them. One stealth attack is better
>>
Guys, if things start to go wrong at some point in the future, Jettison some eggs. It matters little if the entire hive dies, so long as at least a single egg lands somewhere else.
>>
>>43388559
>>43388551
I'm going to combine these two, as they are essentially the same task. Cool with you guys?
>>
>>43388582
Sounds okay. The drones have to act fast so the sleeping ones do not have time to wake up.
>>
>>43388582
Will this action wake up the other people?
If so, will they have anything capable of causing complications?
>>
>>43388597
He already stated that only 3 guys (The 3 awake) are armed. And making a ruckus will definitely wake up the other considering all of them are on the edge right now.
>>
>>43388597
You'll have to roll for this, which is part of the options in the following;

Dildo the drone, makes a beeline foe the ventilation exit in the corridor outside of the fortified room and hops down, as Raptor makes his way towards the patrolling guard, in preparation over a vent, the drones wait for the moment to strike…

What do?

A) Open the vent silently to ensure a stealthy grab. (d100)
B) Make Dildo cause a ruckus outside, distracting the guards (d100)
C) Other.
>>
Rolled 1 (1d100)

>>43388605
>A) Open the vent silently to ensure a stealthy grab. (d100)
>>
Rolled 71 (1d100)

>>43388605
A. Stealth is better than that humans are ready for us with weapons ready.
>>
>>43388605
Seems like a por que no los dos scenario to me, the drones should be able to co-ordinate well enough to carry out both actions simultaneously.
>>
>>43388605
Removing the vent is too risky and it can fuck up the entire plan.
Make Dildo make a ruckus, everyone wakes up and start focusing on the door and then Raptor grabs whoever he can (an armed target if possible) and gets the fuck out to the holding cell.
>>
>>43388605
>B) Make Dildo cause a ruckus outside, distracting the guards (d100)
>>
>>43388614
relax guys, i've stated this a couple of times, i want you guys to come to consensus THEN roll. So this doesn't count.

Lucky.

>>43388616

These options CAN be combined, but i'll need 2d100's instead of 1.
>>
>>43388624

You are the best of men, OP.
>>
>>43388624
One other option: They have flamer weapons in apparently quite small place.

If both of drones attack sleeping humans they cannot fire!

(Unless they see being burnt a better death than being hosted) :P
>>
>>43388650
I have two for ruckus and a couple of free form options. I'll duck out for a smoke, and when I get back I'll do the write up.
>>
Also I think we are at bump limit, so if you guys want to archive this thread go for it, post the link, and I'll start a new thread to finish up this chapter before I head off.
