You...do not recall how exactly you ended up here. You somehow feel like that upon your death and you were getting processed so to speak something or someone snapped you up. Stealing you away for some unknown purpose. You don't really recall much of anything only that some monstrous yet motherly presence took you away and placed you somewhere new....with a new body.

Not just any ordinary body. It was the body of a monster. In particular the highest class of monster. The type of monster that not only may take away the abilities of its prey but also evolve entirely new ones that can quite possibly be unique.

How you know this you aren't entirely sure or why it feels so weird and your soul you suppose feels so warped. Right now your body is most certainly lacking even as the presence creates your new body and carefully inserts you into it before taking you somewhere.

That was when the presence finally decided to communicate with you.

"Be warned my child...your body while containing near unlimited potential at the early stages is very VERY weak. So don't think about your the best just yet. There is always someone better...someone stronger. You however are unique even among the highest class of monster you instinctively know about and are part of. This is because your soul is...actually unique as well. I don't know what it is you did in your past life or live just that it was far FAR to tempting to not take you in to be one of mine. Thanks to that you have a special body even among all of your unique kin. Very few have anything like yours."

"As for what it is I shall tell you. Your body has a twin that is connected by the soul. Your soul however may only take refuge in one of them at a time and they each can pursue their own unique design seperate from one another. Just be warned though you will be unable to exchange stuff between them except for your soul that is."

"You ALSO due to past Karma have a free and one time use ability of a true Resurrection. You or someone you choose may be brought back to life without any risk or chance of becoming an undead."

"...really makes me wonder what it was you did to acquire that sorta perk. Thanks to those perks though I was able to create something extra special for you child. Alas I didn't get to you before the wiping process so i am afraid that neither of us will know the truth behind it."

"Ah almost to the destination...best provide you some need to know information on this world. First of all this world has magic and things like monsters like yourself. However technology has finally started to advance reasonably quickly so its finally a thing. Thanks to this monsters are either enjoying hell or heaven."

"I am taking you to a temporary refuge of monsters where those like man still do not dare to not tread lightly. Nearby is their 'civilization' and deeper in you'll find one of the increasingly rare true monster domains remaining."

"The reason why its rare is simple. Its because at this time nothing but the strong may survive in these hostile times. With the changes many have grown desperate and their desperate struggle have made it so only the adaptable, hidden, or strong have had much luck in surviving."

"All the weak have perished including much of the lands those weak used to dwell in. Now the weak can only be found in refuges those very humans have forced them to and they themselves supposedly maintain."

"Or you could go live among the bastards. Number of monsters are capable of that and some of them are even enjoying a kind of heaven because of it."

"Anyway child this is where I shall be leaving you. Remember though due to your unique nature you will likely be cursed to a profound degree of loneliness should this become too much seek out another of your kind. They exist but each are unique and interesting stuff happens when they reunite."

"And always remember that no matter what happens Mommy loves you just as she loves all of her offspring."

With that you could feel the presence shrink away...and you realized you had jack shit for senses. You could feel some sort of flowing movement near the edge of where your at. Some strangely delicious yet empty feeling matter that is somehow dissolving. Where you rest you can also for some strange reason feel like your sinking down...though this would appear to be rather slowly at least. Near the periphery of your vision you could feel something walking...while beneath you something is moving away.

Ahem now for some quick rules.

Every action requires a d100.

You get 3 dice rolls for a pool.

Crits occur on a 1 and a 100. One is very bad while the other is very good. However this is reversed should 3 per a thread be rolled. IN which case the third counts as the OPPOSITE of what it would of been.

Difficulty modes may be switched at anytime should enough votes for them. In which case this requires 5 votes to lock in a change in difficulty. Higher difficulties will result in tougher and better chances of rarer enemies of appearing.

Right now your on easy mode.

>Very Easy
+No crit failures.
+5 dice sized pool.

-Penalized loot and EXP

>Easy
Crits allowed for both ways.
+3 rolled dice pool.
-Penalized loot

>Moderate
-2 sized dice pool

+Bonus EXP

>Hard
Average of 3 rolls

Bonus Loot and EXP

Very Hard
First Roll is taken only.

Bonus+ loot and EXP

>NIGHTMARE
Lowest Roll in dice pool of 3 is accepted only

EXTREME bonus to LOOT and EXP

On easy mode you will only rarely encounter one boss monster, Elites, and special variants are quite rare.

in Very Easy mode there is no chance of boss mobs to appear and chances for unusuals appearing are very low.

Elite monsters would be the new 'boss' that would ever appear in such a mode.

Unless otherwise stated highest roll in dice pool will be selected.

You decide to slowly towards the walking thing that apparently had more then a few legs. When you got closer it started to struggle before stopping and melting away. It hard a rather tough exterior but when you surrounded it soon perished.

Slain Monstrous Beetle known as Braced Beetle noted for their great defense despite their puny size. Not even getting stomped on will kill one of these things. Its jaws are also not worth laughing at capable of snapping its way through hide fairly easily. One could easily lose a finger to one of these things...

Consume activated...

Energy Levels decreased by 60%
Nutrient Level Exhausted

Acquired Braced Body. Increased Health and Defense.
Acquired Special Ability Bastion Body(when activated will significantly increase defense but only if your steady)

You decide to head towards the source of vibrations. On the way though you notice it getting more and more intense. Finally when you arrived you noticed that oddly you could sort of 'see' thanks to all the vibrations bouncing off everything.

What you saw however was a large monster smashing trees down and swallowing them whole before fighting with some other group.

Except the other group was in fact two separate groups both of whom were also fighting each other while fighting the big monster.

The big monster for its part was also busy attacking both groups with its meaty claws or huge maw. Sometimes it would swing out its huge tail that would then rapidly expand creating a massive club of fuck you combined with the speed and agility of a whip.

The other two groups for their part were busy firing at each other and the monster. They both seemed to not want to retreat.

You tried to consume a human...when you realized something terrible. In fact it was two different somethings and those were.

1 the human wasn't dead
2 you can't devour and harvest the abilities of non monsters

So the end result was OH GOD THE AGONY AND HOLY SHIT THIS GUY TASTES FUCKING TERRIBLE!

You hadn't even known you could even taste things yet but apparently so. Too bad it tasted fucking terrible.

So terrible you fact your found yourself unable to move...no wait a second its actually due to you getting picked up. Crap.

After you somewhat recovered from the trauma and looked around. It would appear a human had picked you up who was apparently sneaking around. Now normally you would try to eat the human but alas you are both kinda loopy still and the human merely...giggles? At the attempt.

What a scary human.

Even more terrifying is the company this human kept. For this human unlike those other two groups was working besides some nasty critters instead of with others of its kind.

You find yourself almost wishing that you had gotten grabbed by one of those two groups instead...

The human for its part put some distance between the fighting and itself. Reuniting with its group then the human sat you down and spoke some things to its...pets?

Companions?

Your not entirely sure. You do feel some strange energies humming around the humans and its company though. It also let you down before starting to watch again and started to murmur some stuff.

You were originally gonna slink away when you heard...well more along the lines of felt a large 'squish' as some food was deposited.

One of which is apparently yet another human...and the other is some kind of beast or monster. Meanwhile there was also a strange pile of something else as well. It wasn't long before the company tore into the prey and you yourself found a large stack of food right before you...

Suddenly you find yourself starting to like this human.

Even better the prey for you was separate from the others. Can't believe this human took you away from danger, fed you a ton of food, and the place even had a excellent view!

Now which to eat first...truly the ultimate question of your life at this very moment.

Meanwhile the company appears to be feeding from their own pile. While the human appears to be muttering something to a big, giant, purring beast.

Good god its purring so loud/much its actually vibrating so hard that it gives you an excellent view. The overgrown...cat? Then proceeds to lay down near you along with some kind of monkey thing. Meanwhile the human appears to be preparing for something as it soon sits down, enters a trance, and starts muttering something.

You decide to munch the monster flesh first for the sake of acquiring some sweet sweet benefits.

In that regard you got lucky again. Successfully managing to steal away one of the monsters key abilities. The monster in question once you got done eating it appeared to be a strange hybrid between a worm and centipede.

Except from the info you just digested and learned it could ALSO roll up into a 'spiky' ball. The mutation you stole away was its many good 'sensory limbs'. You thought they were just legs...they weren't.

The legs in question were designed to both feel and hear while being quite manipulable along with being deadly. Those limbs were more akin to worms then actual appendages. Sadly you weren't able to rip off its carapace or anything else but its limbs along with its orb ability are well worth it.

Acquired Legion Wormed Tendril Limbs
Acquired Ability Orb

When taking the appearance of a sphere it will increase your defense and speed but decrease your attack. BUT you gain access to special moves that are only possible in this form. It also makes it impossible to get flanked and you can still use the legion worm limbs while in it.

This also means you can now properly hear and you gained the special vibration sense. Sadly your still blind(got no eyes).

While you were busy feeding and finishing the mutation(which took a lot out you those many limbs weren't cheap).

You suddenly felt an odd presence and energy brushing up against you. When you peered over apparently while you were busy the human finished up its spell creating a similar tendril of energy like the stuff hovering around the creatures here. However its now probing at you...and it seems to be slightly strange.

You decide to wait and see what this strangeness is despite the hunger as well as how tired you are. These few abilities haven't been on the cheap side at all.

While watching you soon figure out whats different as it continues to warp and change. Mostly it stops being quite so similar to the stuff the other critters have and more along the line of becoming its own thing.

This apparently causes some serious strain for the human considering how heavy breathing and drips of sweat. Soon enough though the tendril is finished warping though it seems a bit...off still like the human didn't quite make it.

You find yourself approaching the human to help it out. Your not sure why maybe because you might of been human in a past life or maybe due to all the food including the nifty abilities you got. Well for whatever the reason though you approached the human and smacked them with a tendril right on the face. Meanwhile the other one connected to the tendril and you forced it open before staring(?) the human in the face and muttered through the spell.

"You are really bad at this aren't you?"

If the human wasn't shocked enough getting smacked in the face this sure as hell had to do it.

"wuh wuh you...your intelligent?"

"What the fuck did you think that core was my stomach?"

You explain to the human that beasts and monsters including magical beasts are in fact VERY different from one another. After awhile the human 'seems' to get it finally when you activate the bond alerting the human of the would be relationship that would make you willing.

The human instantly agrees seemingly not minding to much...but that was when something interesting happened. For the bond...upon detecting you commenced to warp AGAIN. This time around though even the surrounding beasts picked up on it and backed away as the surge of energy swept forth.

The human was caught completely off guard realizing that this wasn't a normal bond. For the bond shifted and changed once more.

>Unlocked Class Mythic Monster Master you motherfuckers

>Unlocked Quirk 'pet'
Which enables you to associate with more civilized beings much more easily.

Acquired Ability Bonded

Enables you to communicate and easily share info with those sharing the bond even at a distance. Also alerts you of the status of one another.

Acquired Ability Swap and Switch

This enables you to do the following things. Number 1 swap abilities and perks with one another.
Number 2 to escape the bond when you switch out bodies. As in only one of your bodies is influenced by the bonding.

-----
The human seems to be rather stupefied.

"...you you aren't a noble class?"

"Nope. I believe the term you humans use is 'royal'."

And with that the human fainted.

...oops.

Luckily though thanks to the bond you can NOW understand what those beings down there are saying...though it looks like one of them ran away along with the monster for whom the last group is chasing.

You can now actually understand what their saying now!

The rest of the creatures the human had with meanwhile picked up the human and yourself before heading off.

That was when unexpectedly the monkey started to talk in a human language.

"To think boss lady would not only finally manage to 'tame' a monster but do so without using force. Wasn't expecting boss lady to faint though that was unexpected."

That was when big cat growled in response.

"Yeah yeah time to go back...probably best do it through the back though. Otherwise they'll get pissed considering her condition. Oh kitty grab the uh monster would you?"

In response the cat attempted to swipe at the monkey who managed to easily dodge out of the way and throw you on the cat at the same time.

"HAHAH nice try Kitty!"

The cat in response roared at the monkey before chasing after all the while the monkey laughed at the cat.

"HAHAH still too slow kitty if you want me to stop calling you kitty got to catch me first eh? HAHAHAH can't even do so while i carry boss! Just how lame of a little Kitty are you eh?"

"ROAR!"

In record time you soon got to...wherever it was. Probably due to how pissed the cat was and how fast the monkey is. You made it back to...the manor? In record time when you got there the monkey hopped over the wall while the cat despite its great size climbed up a distant tree and leaped over it as well. There the two of them made their way to a certain area where the monkey dropped off the 'boss' and the cat shook you off. After awhile you noticed some commotion and some other creatures made over the wall. While the rest of them came through a passageway.

There in a court yard they dropped off a number of the loot and food. After that they sorta distributed themselves all around. Including for some reason a number of them standing on watch and even guarding the boss's room. Both in and out.

You...aren't entirely sure what exactly you should do with yourself.

The food would appear to be rather average. There doesn't appear to be much in the ways of monster flesh but a lot of beast and some sapient. Besides that though there is quite a pile of fruits and greens. The treasure meanwhile seems to be an odd mixture of equipment and gear along with a bit of coin.

Sifting through the treasure you could find a lot of the stuff was typical arms, armor, random gear, and odd equipment. Sadly despite some good stuff none of it is you are able to use.

So instead you just started to eat and eat...and eat. Ate so much your stomach filled up so much you couldn't fit anymore inside it. You didn't eat all but you certainly left a noticeable chunk missing.

After you got done eating you sorta...struggled to crawl over to somewhere else and rest for the time being. Possibly due to the food coma when you were able to rouse yourself the next day you noticed some interesting things.

1 it has been at least a day.
2 you have gotten notably bigger.

after looking around it would appear to be somewhat busy and the feeling of the sun indicates its morning. Peering around it would indicate some of the beasts have started to also awaken and are taking action.

Looking around you noticed that the 'boss' was also awaken and appeared to be eating at a table. Apparently she knew you were up and sent out a telepathic message.

"Good morning little monster. Knowing that your a royal I have arranged it so you and some other beasts will go out into the wilds to hunt for prey. Just don't go too deep my beasts aren't able to handle the monsters deeper in. Best stay on the edge or go to a nearby refuge."

May prove to be wise. The setting is something that I have worked on for awhile.

>>40689165
You decide to follow the human instead and say so.

"Hm...is that so? Very well then I suppose it doesn't hurt to delay the hunts. As for following me well I am already known for my ADORABLE *She commences to squeeze the living daylights out of a passing serpent causing its eyes to bulge out before being let go* critters. Fine fine you can follow me though I suppose you'll get rather bored considering my destination is school, following by hanging out with friends, and who knows what else. Though you wont be the only one coming with so they aught to at least keep you company. I'll make sure to bring along a translator for you all."

With that she soon finished. Grabbing a pack and pouring the leftovers over you...goddamn they tasted delicious. Somehow managing to go down much more easily.

Fuck why did you ever forget about cooking food?

"Wow your like a living garbage disposal how useful. No wonder so much food dissapeared last night...ah I am gonna need to make sure yet more is brought over. You got a bigger appetite then Barry."

With that she soon grabbed her bags and you noticed a few creatures follow behind. Including the poor serpent who almost lost his eyes due to a crushing hug. That serpent though grabbed you with its tail to drag you along.

After a bit she and co. Arrived at a limo which was soon filled and apparently modified just for those creatures. There you were taken away and driven to apparently a school. Where you than filed out.

You noticed someone was about to say something but then changed their minds as they filed out. The first thing she did you noticed when she exited was outright tackled a poor youth whom she apparently knew before dragging him back to a gaggle of girls and her creatures before heading out.

After that she went to class the creatures split up with a few going inside with her while the others kept watch.
>>
Rolled 34 (1d100)

>>40689762
You however were dragged by her and taken inside. Apparently she is VERY proud of the fact she broke past the beast tamer turf and finally entered the monsters. Despite all her bragging however she didn't say anything about your real nature. Simply claiming you were a rare type that she got lucky to find young. The class itself about bored you to tears though. Despite trying to pay attention...its almost like the stuff without fail flew over your head.

Now you know you really REALLY suck at math or maybe its just too advanced. Same thing happened with science and language arts. You did get some redemption with geography, magical studies, and history though. So you only really sucked at half of it. Her electives though turned out be art(you sucked hardest of all) and Beast Lore.

In beast lore you found out they were broken up into two primary groups. Natural and magical. Monsters apparently wasn't allowed to be taken until you accomplished the prereqs which was what she after. Apparently though she can now skip it if she managed to acquire a 'tamed' monster. Which she has and so she'll aim to transfer or take it next semester.

Find a mirror to see what we look like, I take it we are some goo monster that can take forms of attributes we consume?

Think something more like a starfish. Basically your 'were' just a stomach and a brain. Now you got some super structure and psuedo limbs. A thousand of them to be precise. Thought its probably increased since you got bigger so more like double that now.

For what attributes you can still it depends on what your after, chance, and what you eat along with the order you eat it.

Yes, I still want magic guns and you better believe I'm gonna bide my time till we get that opportunity.

Well we would need to mod the 2nd form for it. Otherwise we will be wasting a lot of time making something we can use and getting skills for it.

I do like the idea of Doctor Jekyll and Mr.Hyde. Just hope it will not be a problem to do.

We're a god-tier monster that can steal adaptations from other monsters or (provided the resources) come up with our own from scratch. We also have 2 bodies that we can morph between at will.

We started out in a cave or something, we nommed a beetle and got its protective shell and an ability it had to up its defense. Then we followed a slime trail or something to a battle.

We attempted to eat the fallen of the battle, turns out what we tried to eat wasn't dead and wasn't edible. It was a monster tamer girl, she fed us some sort of fancy centipede and we got some nifty sensor-stabber-tentacle appendages and its ability to roll up in a ball and fuck stuff up.

Then we agreed to be the girl's pet, providing us with a telepathic link to her and some basic language skills and shit. Next the girl brought us to her house where we ate some shit and chilled, then we followed the girl to her school instead of going out and finding more monsters to nom on.

It's intentionally hard to get a clear picture of what's going on though to give emphasis on the fact that we're not a human and so don't have a worldview/viewpoint that's easily comprehensible to humans.

psshht hahaha

>>40700156
Meh, either way I like it thus far. Reminds me of that creature quest that ran like twice a few years ago but never really took off...I can get into wandering around and nomming other monsters then stealing their shit.

>>40700221
I've been thinking of running my own cute and fuzzy mini-monster quest, but I don't know if I could do it.
