Greetings! We come back to our hoofed friends having just secured an alliance with the Human Highlanders, trained an apprentice to be the heir to the throne, and are now preparing to fight the Elder Gods' servants!

The villages of Drozen and Grok are buzzing with activity as the people scramble to prepare for the coming battle. The blacksmiths hammer away at the glowing iron, the mages conjure great shows of their power, and the Militia is going through training dummies like it's nobodies business. Yet despite this, the sounds of marching are omnipresent, and grow ever closer.

A1: Increase the Militia in Drozek and Grok, but remember, The Horde will hit Drozek first. The Attack is coming west, and Grok is east of Drozek

Bah! We have MAGIC. Who needs cannons when we can conjure lakes of magma beneath the feet of an oncoming horde? When we can spray water and electrify it with thunder from our palms? When we can swallow our foes with great fissures?

Also, we shudda built a FORT. We would have had an extra siege before they came to Drozek, and more warning. Plus it wudda slowed them down

>A1: Militia
>14: Complete failure!
The Militia sends out multiple members to try and get recruits to bolster their ranks (For reference professional Militia soldiers number roughly 600). Despite this, people are simply too panicked to bother joining, and even with the threat of death hanging over their heads, everyone seems content to simply let the Militia fight for themselves.

>A2: Food
>41: Average!
The food you got from the humans is, odd. The barley you clearly understand to be used in the brewing of beer, though it's far less potent than your normal Alagor's Punch. The potatoes, while delicious, are tiny for your Tauren stomachs, and are seen as appetizers by the bucketful. What really interests your people is this "Haggis" that the humans are so fond of. After a few experiments (Mostly failures involving William eating the results) you're able to make your own, slightly lower quality haggis! Why you would want to eat this is beyond you.
>Invented haggis recipe?

R1: Cannons
>34: Failure!
The idea of some form of heavy projectile to fire from the walls has crossed the Militia's mind several times, and they recently tried to put the plan into action. The first result failed due to having fuck all in the way of firing the damn thing.
>>
>>39284167
Forts are still a possibility. Not that it will make any difference (unless you get amazing rolls) but you will get a solid idea of what the fuck you're dealing with.

>A3: Crossbows
>44: Average!
The idea of using a gas against whatever is coming causes a massive divide between the crossbowmen. Some argue that the use is necessary.
>We are facing potential extinction here!
>We must use every gift our ancestors have given us to survive!
Others view it as a horrid and cowardly way of fighting!
>Killed by that which you cannot see? Is that not dishonorable to the killer?
>We are Minotaurs! We don't use these weapons!
After much arguing, some crossbowmen use it, others don't.
>A2: Aeromancy
>56: Average!
The idea of manipulating the air around seems interesting to your Mages. Though it's rather hard to visually study (It's fuckin' air) soon there are enough adepts that a proper school is established for Aeromancy!

>A1: Fire Prayer
>24: Complete failure!
The Pyromancers and Lavamancers call for a mass prayer to the fire spirits. After the congregation arrives, and prayer begins, a loud BANG is heard. As everyone looks up, a column of smoke appears in the front of the room.
>Foolish mortals.
A horned beast stands before you, eyes blazing like the forges of a master blacksmith.
>You call for my assistance?
>After you kill my followers?
>You will get no help from me!
And, as soon as he arrives, he is gone without a trace.

>A2: Ancestor Army
>79: Above average success!
Despite how badly the first prayer session went, another is called. This time it calls for something you hold dear, the ancestors. The same process is followed, lights out, heads bowed, but this time, a feeling of peace washes over the congregation.
>You call for our aid?
A heavenly voice flows into the minds of all Minotaurs.
>You have proved yourself strong, young ones.
>We see what is coming for you.
>We won't let them end you, for your time has not come yet.
With that, a figure begins to materialize in the room. Then another, and another, and soon an army of 300 long dead Minotaurs stand before you, eyes glowing like the Sun.
>These Tauren will aid you in your time of need.
And with that, the voice leaves, as do the mystical Tauren.

>95: Amazing success!
William walks by the training fields, having had a bit too much to drink (even for a Scotsman) last night and trying to walk off his hangover. Leaning on a railing, he notices how your Aeromancers are having some difficulties moving the air with their saggy robes.
>"Oi! If ya want yer air to flow frreely, ya gonna need some pipes!"
Though the idea of bagpipes being useful (besides being a torture method) strikes your Aeromancers as idiotic, they decide to let him have a crack at it. Later that day, he returns with much less saggy and more streamlined magic robes, with pipes in place for one to blow.
>"I fix'd em up forr ya! Ya just go'ta blow thrrough these pipe rright 'ere, and the spells'll be flowin' like my a rriver!"
>Aeromancer Robes invented!
>Utilizing a system similar to bagpipes, these robes have pipes built into them so as to allow the user to blow the spells through them, making any Aeromancer spells far more destructive!

>86: Great success!
Seeing as how the adepts can't handle it, Ahdrag gets up off of his throne. Bones rattling with every step, he works his way down to the crumbled wall, takes one good long look at it, then summons a massive wall of lava, cools it, then covers the heated rock with granite. After telling the young adepts to "Learn how to do it right" he heads home, then resumes his nap.

>damn

welp, looks like we'll have to rely on roleplaying to get us out of this one.

First defense: we make the battle field REAL wet. when the enemies arrive, we zap it.

Second defense: We magma-tize the ground beneath their feet

Third Defense: We open up massive fissures in the earth to eat them fuckers up and drain the magma

Fourth Defense: Magi-Cannons, mages, and crossbowmen

Last line of defense: Our warriors. Obviously the best geomancers and most of the Awaken will be in the vanguard. Behind them is everyone else.

Ahdrag will wait until he is needed most, then join the battle in a glorious show that will probably end in his heroic death
>>
>>39286610
Remember, you can boost a roll with a +50. This can go over the 100 limit
>>
>>39286580
i think prep our defenses is our top priority. only with that 75 will we be able to set up EXACTLY as we plan. that's more important than anything else. The troops are rallied and the Spirits are on our side. Our worst roll is a 7, and what's gonna happen? we lose a few expendable men and obligatory children in a 10meter explosion? i think we'll be okay
>>
>>39286610
I Vote for This, But Ahdrag Fights the Big Thing and Brakla Fights on the Walls firing shit at the, Garris Firing Hadoukens at the Large waves But Before all that, We fire th Gas-Sleep into the Army as they-re going, bit close to the walls, but getting there
>>

The fact that we're fine with children dying amuses me greatly
>>
>>39286676
>>39286677

>>
>>39286677
yep. so we should have our 75 roll towards setting this shit up. that will probably/hopefully give us a bonus to each of these defense strategy rolls in-battle

the "strategize" option was mostly a filler, since the real strategy will be done via roleplaying anyway, and its altogether an inconsequential action

In the dead center of it all stands a mockery of the Tauren body. It appears Guth made some friends.

Let me correct that.
The Lavamancers, tired of constantly being stereotyped as cultists and always fucking up, see this as their time to shine. Summoning up all of their strength, they close their eyes. When they open them, fields of hot lava lay where there was once tundra. The enemy is to stupid to walk around them, leading to many, many casualties.

Guth's now unholy voice echoes through the tundra and into your eardrums. Despite this, he appears to have little control over his forces, as they stop for the moment. During this time, several grisly acts of cannibalism can be seen in the crowd.

Drozen has returned as well, and is hurling massive ethereal boulders towards the Colossus, slowing it down and causing it to crush monsters underneath it. >Total: 80: Great success!
The Human chief sees the bright flash of light and thinking that it's a signal, heads towards it with his army. Just now seeing how truly massive the Colossus is, thinks it to be the biggest threat. Drawing his broadsword, he orders his men to charge.
>"MEN O' TAH 'IGHLANDS, CHAAAAAARGE!"
Their roar overpowers any sounds of battle and causes all to look over to see what the hell these idiots are doing. Surprisingly, they manage to make it all the way to the base of the Colossus before encountering major resistance, and even then they begin to crawl up the sides of it.

>Total Roll= 83
Guth forces his way through what remains of his shattered forces to find Ahdrag crushing what looks like the head of a creature.
>YOU!
>YOU ARE THE LEADER!
>YOU WILL BE THE EXAMPLE!
Guth and Ahdrag lock eyes, then weapons as the battle rages around them.
>"You call yourself a general? These abominations can't even listen to you!"
Infuriated by this insult, begins to swing wildly at Ahdrag. Skillfully blocking, he begins to push the twisted Minotaur back.
>Mages
>Easily over 100
The Colossus is pelted with a swarm of rock, fire, and lava balls, all hitting dead on to it. With each it gets knocked back further and further, until finally it collapses backwards, with a massive shockwave running through the battlefield. It doesn't get up
>The Colossus has perished!
>>
>>39290019
WOOOOOOOO ITS DOWN
>>
>>39290019
>FINALE FOR THE NIGHT
Ahdrag and Guth's duel winds up clambering up onto the corpse of the Colossus, tearing into the now crumbling stone. With each blocked swing Guth grows more furious, and eventually, he can take no more.
>INSOLENT FOOL!
>NOW THIS WHOLE WORLD SHALL PAY!
With this, Guth runs himself through with his own sword, then begins to transform into a mockery of all life. A writhing mass of tentacles ruptures Guth's desecrated body. Everyone but Ahdrag and William (being drunk and thinking that it's just a hallucination) look on in horror at this, thing that used to be a Minotaur.
>"Even in death, you're still relying on magic"
The creature screeches at him, rupturing countless eardrums. Ahdrag leaps forward, warhammer lit like the Sun, and bashes it's fucking skull into bits.

Fucking Amazing

...Ahdrag lives? damn. i really didn't want him to die of old age.

okok, here's the solution

After the battle, Ahdrag approaches the Human chief. After shaking his hands, he says, "You and your kind, you tiny pink fleshlings, are as great and valorous as you are crazy. I am happy to call you my clansmen. If you ever decide to seek retribution on the Snow Elves for enslaving your people, we will be with you."
>>
>>39290215
The Hit used all his power, every scarp of it. Civvie used what i was going to do to the Colossus to Guth
>>
>>39290244

This >>39289627
>>
>>39290156
With that, Ahdrag collapses. Brakla and William both run over, desperate to keep him alive. By the time they get there, his ghost is there, standing above his corpse. He looks to be at peace.
>"So, I guess yer dead now, huh Ahdrrag?"
>"Indeed I am. I've lived a long and hearty life. But not it is time for me to move on. Brakla..."
Brakla looks up, face stern but eyes filled with tears.
>"You and I, while we were never very close, were a great team. You will make a suitable heir to our fine kingdom. Treat our people well, always use your head, all that nonsense. But before I go, I want you to know something."
Brakla looks right into his eyes while William pulls out a canteen of Alagor's Punch.
>"I always thought of you as a son. Have a wonderful life."
With that, he walks off to join the other heroes of the past into the afterlife.
>>
>>39290297
You thought I would make him die of old age didn't you? That would be a horrible way for him to die.
>>
THE AGE OF AHDRAG HAD ENDED!
LONG LIVE KING BRAKLA!
>>
>>39290297
>This is Beautiful
>Fucking Alagor's Punc-
So That's it for to night?
>>
>>39290297
>the ending i always wanted but never knew i did
beautiful

here's the correction to this>>39290215 then

After the battle, Brakla approaches the Human chief. After shaking his hands, he says, "You and your kind, you tiny pink fleshlings, are as great and valorous as you are crazy. I am happy to call you my clansmen. If you ever decide to seek retribution on the Snow Elves for enslaving your people, we will be with you."

>"We coul' say teh same fer you 'n yer kind. I don' carre what ya got on yer feet, yer plen'y human to me! And we'll take you up on ye off'r to gut those damned elves. But first, let's celebrrate. I'll bring me finest haggis!"
The two shake hands, then part ways.

The minotaurs, now fully aware of their martial potential, grow restless for blood... Elven blood...

But they're having a huge drunken orgy tonight!! That's the tribal way! Yaay!! Oh, and sacrifices to spirits. LOTS of em.

>>39290584
I guess that would make you the late-er sleeper. I'm good for all times tomorrow, but I may be distracted a bit
