You are Shee Hyul, rebel leader, psychic and Reunited. Your world is ruled by inhuman creatures and this has gone on far too long, it’s time to fight back.

You’re walking through a fantastic jungle filled with over-sized animals. You came to a long deep canyon called the Astrobleme, looking for a Reunited called Jane Vindel. This woman was one of several people who caused the death of your friend Ashley and she has the ability to predict your every move, or at least she would, if Rainya wasn’t with you.

You’ve found her hideaway and are trying to locate her. However at the bottom of a deep canyon is a jungle, and neither magic, nor technology have been able to penetrate very deep into it. To your psychic senses this place feels like a gigantic chaoswell, spread over many miles. To your mundane ones this whole place teems with life: you see insects darting from tree to tree, the calls of simians and large cats echo through the jungle and you smell the sweet sickly scent of poisonous flowers.

As you and your companions wander into the jungle, hacking a path with humming machine blades you regularly encounter the metre-long rodents you say before, you would not believe such things could exist, had they not tried to gnaw your arms off. Still, a few laser or plasma blasts are enough to send them scurrying.
>>
After several hours walking through the hot jungle, even those of you with inhuman stamina are starting to notice it. After a few complaints you tell the others you will stop soon for a rest, once you see a suitable location.

“Like that?” asks Lirael, pointing to the clearing ahead. As you get closer you see a vast wide clearing opening ahead of you. Within it are a herd of large hairless quadrupeds, grazing on the jungle vegetation. Each of the adult animals easily stands 3 metres high at the shoulder, though you see smaller ones darting in and out of the adults. A few of those closes to the edge notice you and stare at you, as if trying to decide if you’re a threat or not, after a moment they go back to grazing.

“Yeah like that” you say “we can take five minutes here, just try not to spook the...whatever they are...don’t want them to come charging at us.” Indeed the beasts sheer size and the large horns on their heads mark them out as dangerous enough to concern you.

“Right” agrees Kaelyn as the Rainyas nod tiredly too. You all rest for a few minutes and watch the giant beasts plod peacefully around. Then you hear some of them bellowing out.

“Wasn’t me” says Dev, opening his armour helmet “What’s got them spooked?”

“Those I think” says Lirael, pointing at a large number of lizard-like things with sharp claws and teeth that come running from the opposite side of the clearing, heading for the slow-moving herd animals. Although much smaller, perhaps your own height, the agile lizards appearance throws the herd animals into a panic and they start to bunch up, the young in the middle of the group, the adults at the outside, their heads down, horns sweeping back and forth. Several of the furthest members of the herd are not fast enough however and their legs and faces bitten and clawed by the lizards they go down, swarmed under by sheer numbers.
>>
As you watch the lizards tear into their downed prey with hungry aggression, eating them whilst they are still feebly kicking.

“I guess the rest break is over” says Rainya, as you all watch the gory display in shocked silence.

“Uh huh” you agree, slowly nodding your head.

What do you do?

So, uh, for anyone who hasn't read it yet - the Primacy of Blood stuff is in the rules paste now. Haemokinesis is fucking crazy.

Definitely wanting to spend 5 of our xp on Feast of Life 7 so that we get the 14 vamp xp to put into either Haemo or more Void, because Void is pretty damn awesome too.

I don't see it.
Thousand Biting Claws is great and Eviscerate is fun against armoured targets, but otherwise its okay at best.

Blood shield is far too resource intense for its benefits, which aren't that great compared to alternatives.

And Void is good, but its largely just the replacement for Shadow, so there isn't much pressing need in investing further into it right now.

Would you say they are Rodents Of Unusual Size?
>>
“We’re not here to get into pointless fights with the local wildlife” you say to your friends “follow me.”

Moving as quietly as possible you detour around the feasting lizards and the circled herd animals, keeping a wary eye on both in case they decide you are a potential threat, or meal. Despite Rainya and Dev sounding like lumbering giants to your abnormally sharp hearing you all manage to make it past them with either group chasing you or attacking. The herd animals simply watch you warily, and the lizards are too concerned with their meal. Soon, both groups, and the clearing are out of sight, and too far away for even your senses to detect.

“Alright” you say to everyone “We rest here” you indicate a much smaller clearing you have found, free of any animals. You all sink gratefully to the ground for a few minutes and whilst sitting there, Rainya leans over to Dev “Aren’t you hot in that?” she asks, indicating his power armour.

“Nope” comes Devs voice through the helmet “this thing has air conditioning, I’m nice and cool.” He seems oblivious to the looks of disgust and envy everyone shoots him.

You open your mouth to tell him he should save his suits power and suffer in the heat with the rest of you, when you hear a sound like a falling boulder hitting the ground, or rather, you feel it vibrating through your whole body. As your companions scramble to their feet it is clear they heard it too.

“What’s that Shee?” asks Lirael, looking to you for an explanation.

You shrug “I have no idea-” Another massive thud, and then a half-minute later another, and another. Those are too regular, they sound like-

“Footsteps” breathes out Kaelyn, her eyes widening in fear. How big would something have to be for its footsteps to be that loud?

Everyone gathers together and looks ahead – the direction the footsteps are coming from.

“Everyone hide” you say, ducking into a convenient hollow in a tree yourself. Your companions likewise conceal themselves in the local vegetation and you all lie still and quiet as the footsteps get closer.

“What is that?” you whisper to Kaelyn, only a few metres away.

“I think it might be a War Follower” she whispers back.

“A what?” you ask

“A giant creature that clears battlefields of debris” she answers.

“Who in their right mind would-” you start, no, that makes sense by fae standards, except for the giant part.

The footsteps get closer, and closer, until the ground underneath you seems to jump with each one. And then you see it...over the tops of the trees.

“By the Five...” you say in amazement, all around you your allies utter similar expressions of astonishment.

Above the trees rises the body of some vast creature, the War Follower you assume. It has a long flattish horizontal body, resembling the segmented body of an insect. It’s head resembles no known animal, though its mouth looks vaguely beaklike. It looks to be around forty metres high and eighty or more metres long.
Six long legs support its mass, each leg wider than the tree trunks around you. Trailing from its underbelly come dozens and dozens of long tentacles, each thinner than its legs and that split into multiple smaller tentacles, these branch again and again, until the smallest are no wider than your fingers.
As it walks towards you it lazily rakes its tentacles through the trees. As you watch it brings a couple of tentacles to its mouth, one holds a dead and rotting tree, another a squiring large rodent, both are fed its into maw without it slowing down. That thing looks far too big to be able to survive on the food its eating, and its feet must be making huge craters as it walks, how have you not noticed those before?
>>
As it gets closer you can see its tentacles trailing through the trees ahead, brushing over trees and the ground, dead trees are seized, living ones remain unmolested. You can see several of the large rodents hiding under a bush with wide flat leaves, seems like hiding from this thing was the best thing to do if even the local wildlife goes to ground when it approaches.

Its head passes above and its body starts to pass over you. All around your companions remain still and quiet, though you can see Lirael start to shake in fear, her face going pale.

As you watch one rodent bursts out of cover as the limbs trail over its cover and runs in your direction, several of the smaller thinner tentacles lash out towards it, ensnaring it and lifting it high into the air towards the beasts head. The tentacles trailing over the unmoving rodents simply pass on by.

The curtain of fine tendrils gets close and closer to you. Most of your companions are stoic, though Kaelyn is grimacing. Lirael is whimpering and shaking her head.

“Lirael it’s ok” you say to her “it’s ok, Lirael look at me.”

Lirael shakes her head, her eyes unfocused, her face pale and her whole body shaking, her wings twitching and flapping, if she doesn’t stop moving the thing will.

Damn, if she’s not going to listen...you reach your mind out to hers and Lirael eagerly links her thoughts to yours, taking comfort in the bond.

Immediately a tide of fear threatens to pull you under. That thing is huge! Why it could eat both of you without even noticing, your bodies smashes and chewed beyond recognition in that huge mouth! Vivid imagery of this happening accompanies the feelings of terror, you need to be away, you need to fly, now!

You manage to battle down Liraels feelings of terror and calm her enough so that she stops shaking and simply crouches down as the thick curtain of tentacles passes over you all, brushing at you like hundreds of fingers, but seemingly not registering your presence. After several minutes the unpleasant experience is over and the gigantic beast continues its journey. You wait until it is no longer in sight before you slowly release the gestalt as well as a long sigh of relief.

“Well that was....” Dev searches for an appropriate word “unpleasant.”

Rainya shoots him a dirty look “You’re wearing an enclosed suit” she says “try feeling that on your skin.”

Kaelyn gives Rainya an amused look “Really darling? I thought that would be right up your-”

“Lets move” you say, forestalling the argument “It case it comes back.” You all head further into the jungle.

As you watch the deep craters left by the things feet are filled by roots bursting from the sides and bridging the gap, growing even as you watch. This place would seem freakish to most people, to you it’s merely...interesting.
>>
The next few hours pass without incident and you start scanning the forest ahead with your magical senses, as well as the scanner you bought with you, neither are able to penetrate very far into the jungle, a few hundred metres at most. Still, now you are a little wiser about the threats this place holds, you are able to avoid most of the harmful-looking beasties.

You eat trail rations as you walk, continuing into the late afternoon, until the scanner shows some sort of barrier up ahead.

“Wait” you say to your companions, halting them.

“What?” asks Kaelyn.

“Some sort of barrier” you say “let’s check it out...”

Together you and Liraels minds quest forward, and you see a vast interwoven fence of some kind what could it be?

Your conjoined mind pokes closer until you realise it is spider-webbing, thousands upon thousands of threads, blocking the way ahead, stretching as far as you can see in either direction, and reaching...almost to the tops of the trees. Judging by how thick the lines are, the spiders must be pretty big...but none are in sight.

Your minds search for a way around – it stretches for kilometres in either direction, a detour around it would take hours. Indeed it seems wider than the canyon is supposed to be, how...? An illusion maybe? The magic of this place messing with physical space?

The spider-web nest, or barrier or whatever stretches deeper than your sight can penetrate, as soon as you try to go too far that same familiar presence pushes you back. Liraels irritation and frustration mirrors your own.

You could detour around this vast spider nest, or perhaps take to the tree-tops and the highest branches to go over it, or perhaps cut or burn your way through, or teleport past it, risky though blind teleports sometimes are.

You return your point of view to your own bodies.

“Well?” asks Rainya

“Maybe we don’t have to deal with the spiders” you say to Dev, pondering.

“What?” asks Rainya, looking at you curiously.

“There’s something blocking me and Lirael from looking too far ahead” you say “some sort of mind, it’s big but calm somehow, like it doesn’t have much interest in us.”

“It could be some sort of spell or trap by Vindel” points out Kaelyn

“That’s why I’m going in alone” you say, brushing off Liraels attempt to link her thoughts with yours.

Lirael pouts “be careful Shee” she warns “it could hurt you.”

“I’ll be fine” you say, confident in the protections afforded to you by your gifts. You sit down and lean against a tree “just keep watch in case something attacks us” you tell your allies as your focus torn to your powers and this strange mind you felt...
---
Its hard to get a grip on it, its vast, and powerful, but so diffuse, spread out, there’s nothing to hold onto. Eventually you manage to contact it.

-What are you?- you send

-HELLO- it responds

You can hear someone talking, babbling really, fast and high pitched, no wait that’s Lirael. You concentrate, trying to both hear Lirael and talk to this mind at the same time.

“Sheeareyouok?it’sbeenanhourShee?Shee?Sheesaysomething?” Liraels voice seems to be speaking so fast, no, it’s your thoughts that are slow. With a burst of clarity you realise that this strange mind is moving far slower than yours, to hold a conversation with it could take days, merely exchanging greetings has taken an hour.

Still, you have some sort of sense of it at least. It seems to be made up of the forest, or the chaoswell perhaps. It covers the whole of the canyon, and more besides. It seems curious about you, you think.

And people said that more duplicates was a waste because they couldn't do anything.

Talking with this thing seems like it is going to take a lot of time, but if it *is* the forest or chaoswell or if it really does cover this whole place, it might be able to locate your quarry for you.

Its early evening.

We could have bought plurality but we got other stuff instead the last time we bought things for Rainya (which was after she got Divided Fate).
>>
>>38378831
We got Duplicate 7 the last time, actually.
Which works better than Plurality, since its actually usable most of the time, if we would have used Plurality the entire time now, we would have had to fight our way through the jungle because Rainyas would have failed every roll.
>>
>>38378937
And without it we were guaranteed to get found out by MirrorA, thus making the fight with her much harder or just giving her the chance to either flee completely or make preparations to not die when we kill her.

The cost of an easier journey was potentially making the entire journey meaningless.
>>
Talking it is, writing.
>>
>>38379024
>thus making the fight with her much harder
You know what else would have made the fight harder? Being low on EP and vitae because we had to spend it on fighting a jungle full of giant monster.
Which would also have totally gone unnoticed by her if we rampaged through here. Sure thing that.
>>
You break off talking to the mind long enough to explain to your allies what you’re doing.

“So you’ll just be talking to it?” asks one of the Rainyas “not like linking to it like you and Lirael do?”

“Just talking” you reassure her “nothing else, I think this thing can tell us where to find her. I think we should set up a camp here, I can talk to it and everyone else can watch out for danger.”

Dubious looks pass between your allies “Ok....” says Kaelyn “but we’ll wake you up if anything bad happens ok?”

“Ok” you agree, its evening, but you might be able to at least introduce yourself before you need to go to sleep. You lean back against a tree, one Rainya standing watch over you as around you your allies start to set up camp with the speed of hummingbirds...
---
-Who are you?- you ask the mind

-I AM ALL- it responds

-What does that mean?- you ask

-I AM ALL THAT IS- it responds

-You are the forest?- you ask –Or the animals? Or the chaoswell?-

-YES- it helpfully responds, adding –WHAT ARE YOU?-

Before you can respond you feel someone shaking you, you let the mental link to the forests mind (or the chaoswells mind?) fade to almost nothing and you can make out what Rainya is saying “Shee we have a problem” she says, her face illuminated by the campfire. All around you it’s dark, huh, seems you were talking for several hours. There’s a campfire in the middle of the small clearing you and your allies paused in and the tents are set up.

You rise, wincing as stiff limbs protest.

“What’s going on?” you ask. Dev comes over to you, showing you the scanner “We’re going to have company” he says, as phlegmatic as ever. the scanner shows hundreds of life forms – human-sized or larger approaching. Some of them are a lot larger.

As they approach the scanner shows the mass of life forms starts to split, as if preparing to encircle your camp.
>>
As your allies prepare for a fight, taking cover behind trees and checking weapons, you and Lirael link minds and reach out towards the approaching horde and find...nothing, as if there is nothing there, a machine glitch? Or instead your attackers are hidden from magical sight.

Still, there’s no harm in being prepared. You ready yourself for battle, perhaps Vindel has found you. Then you see her, approaching through the trees, still distant but close enough for your enhanced sight to see, she approaches on her eight long mechanical legs. Behind her is a mass of humanoid figures, they look like beastmen but there is no uniformity in their appearance. Many have mutations such as two heads, additional arms, bug-like carapaces and so on. Most are carrying crude blades or improvised weapons. They also appear to have a shortage of clothing, the most a lot of them are wearing are loincloths, some aren’t even wearing that.

“I wondered when I’d find you” calls out Vindel, her voice calm, conversational. She comes to a halt, the beastmen stop behind her, bellowing and shaking weapons, further back you can see forms in the distance that tower over the ordinary beastmen, but no details.

“She’s got a lot of magic on her” whispers Kaelyn “Her minions do too, some sort of protections, but I can’t figure it all out.”

“Keep trying” you say, Kaelyn nods.

“Shee this doesn’t look good” notes Dev, his closed visor scanning back and forth across the horde that’s paused far away in the trees.

“Maybe we should leave” suggests Lirael, the Rainyas give a slow nod in agreement.

“Perhaps we can come to some arrangement” calls out Vindel.

“I’m listening” you yell back, privately you just want to kill her, but if this isn’t even the real her then there seems little point to fighting, except for the satisfaction of watching her die, even if its only a copy.

There’s a sharp intake of breath beside you, it sounds like Rainya.

“What did you have in mind?” you ask.

“It’s simple” she says “with my powers I can find the other Reunited, see how they work, what powers they have, I can tell you everything about them, so you can destroy them, I can be the brains, and you the brawn, and once we’re the only two contestants left, we can settle our differences then. Psychics have the advantage in sudden spontaneous combat.

Chaos mages have the advantage if you give them prep time.
>>
>>38380621
She will run to a new hole now anyway. Most likely has already.
We can't catch her here anymore. No matter how we deal with this copy, by the time we crossed through the web, she will be gone.
This whole thing got fucked the moment Pally rolled the 5 and she found us.

>>38380658
Chaos mages are explicitly better when they come with prep time. Only reason she's talking now is because we found her without prep time.

Not really.

>>38380784
Standard Security, you don't expect someone crazy paranoid to not have a personal army ready at all times? We could rip through these guys with ease right now. If she had prep time, She wouldn't need to talk to us. Half our party would be dead in the first strike.
>>
>>38380768
>Or maybe try to drag her here or attack her through it.
Finding some link between her and the double seems like the optimal thing right now, but I don't think there is one.
If it would work like that, either Kae would have discovered it, or we would know trough Rainya if there is a Duplicate Trail.
>>
>>38380853

>>38380853
>Easier said than done.
But oh so worth it.
>>
>>38380819
>Yes. There is w hole bunch of preparation and info she needs to defend against us.
She already has all the information she needs, what she needs are resources and prep time, which you're pretty much handing to her.

>And thats her location.
Her *exact* location, which is already near-impossible to reach and will only get more difficult the longer we cooperate with her. Even then, there are things she can do to prevent that from mattering, such as this bullshit, living in a place that blocks scrying and teleportation.

>>38380899
And she's right.
>>
>>38380952

No, she really isn't.
I don't know where you get the idea from she is, considering we already outplayed her by finding this place.
>>
>>38380952
>what she needs are resources and prep time
Resources and prep time are something we can gather too.
And as long as we don't have her exact location, there is no point even trying to fight her, because, what for?
>>
>>38380987
Finding this place was more blind luck due to her not properly covering her trail (a mistake she won't make twice) which didn't matter anyway because we couldn't foil her scrying for the time necessary.
>>
>>38380899
She risks pissing Her patron and person she's avatar too off with this. Unless we had her against the wall she wouldn't risk it. She's a chaos amge the longer we give her to set up the exponentially more fucked we will be. Pally even said a chaos mage of equal power to us would kick our ass given a few days of proper prep time, which we are giving her now.

>>38380922
Not practical, and power stealing only works when it hits us sadly.

>>38380987

>>

>>
>>38381073

Why the fuck would she stay ina location we have already discovered?
She already moved the moment she scried us, there is nothing we can do against it right now.
>>
>>38381017
>Resources and prep time are something we can gather too.
Yeah, but they don't matter nearly as much to us, since we can't really plan to betray her, due to not having her fucking location or knowing her defences. She can find ours out a lot easier.

>And as long as we don't have her exact location
Not like she could think she's still somewhat safe in the canyon due to it's size, supernatural properties and her own home defences and we have a mind that could tell us that and is willing to help or anything.

Kill the army, commune with the mind, find spiderbitch, get mind to let us through or maybe even help us with it's considerable mental weight, teleport to her, commence ganking.

“Not sure I can trust someone who won’t meet me in person” you say. There’s no harm in letting her talk after all, and she might reveal more of her plans.

Jane simply laughs “you come with your protections” she gestures at your allies “I come with mine, really, should we face each other without any assurance at all? I think not, perhaps if we can come to an agreement we might, until then, why would I meet you?”

Well, you can understand that, if you had her powers you’d- anyway, back to the business at hand “Any deal between us” you say “would have to include Jade Crimsonthornes head.”

Jane cocks her head to one side “an unusual request” she says “but one that doesn’t present a problem, anything else?”

“How would this even work?” you ask. As much as you don’t want to deal with this bitch, pretending to make an alliance might be the only way to get close to her.

“I can find other Reunited easily” she says “as I said, we work together, I tell you who, and their weaknesses, you kill them and reap the rewards.”

“How can you even find other Reunited?” you ask “I mean, that sounds like it should be against the rules.”

“I find those that are a threat to me” says Jane evenly, folding her arms as your companions watch you talk, weapons at the ready “the Reunited top the list, I do find others, but a little observation quickly rules them out of being Reunited.”

“If we make any sort of deal” you say “how do I know I can trust you?”

“A fair question” says Jane with a nod “it’s simple, *if* you agree to my terms, I will meet you in person as a gesture of trust.”

This sounds too easy...

“But” she adds, raising a finger “you must also show *me* trust.”

“You have something in mind?” you ask.

“One of your companions” says Jane “I cast a spell on them – if I die, so too do they.”

I'm really not getting you. First you claim that relying on the enemy to make a mistake is stupid and reyling on QM fiat, and then you rely on her to make a strupid mistake like sticking around after we found her?
>>
You almost reject her offer out of hand then and there, is she crazy? Thinking you’ll put your friends lives at risk like that? Then you calm yourself and recall that this woman has been spying on you for some time, she knows you care about your friends more than anything else, she could demand you wear the spell yourself and you might take your chances at dying just to kill her, but your friends....no, you won’t trade one of their lives for hers.

Still, a spell can be broken, or resisted, though its an awfully big risk to take.
Or you could propose an alternative deal, or just tell her no, or even tell her you need more time to think, just to get away.

[10 minutes to discuss and propose write-ins, then a vote will be called.

Vote will include the following

Agree (honest) – you accept the deal
Agree (deceive) – You just want to get close to her to kill her
No
I need time to think – allows you to escape

Plus any popular write-ins

No votes will be counted until the vote is called for, this post is not calling for a vote]

Thats pretty much the biggest problem, there is no way she will actually just cast the agreed spell.

Especially since she knows breaking reality is our Aspect. We could totally cheat death if it came down to it.
>>
>>38381373
The spell likely works in such a way that Rainya's multiple bodies are not a valid way to circumvent it.

She has 1 or more Aspects too. In a contest of Impossibility vs her Aspect(s) it is settled by dice roll.

Impossibility isn't *stronger* than other Aspects, just broader in scope.

Our best shot, might be to use the "I need time to think" time, to subtle teleport into the web.

“No” you say, shaking your head “I won’t give you a grenade you can pull the pin on any time you feel like it.”

Jane smirks at you “you really think I’d kill myself just to-”

You interrupt “what, kill one of your puppets? Or just activate a spell you control with no consequences, since how can I know you’re even using the spell you say you’ll cast – you could make some sort of spell that controls people, or allows you to end their lives on a whim, no deal.”

Jane seems surprised, pausing momentarily before saying “And what do you think is going to happen now? You think you can escape? Or beat me and mine?” she gestures at the army behind her.

You smile “You can read the future right?” you ask

“Somewhat” says Jane

“Don’t you know how I’ll answer then?” you ask

“It’s not that simple” she says “the choice we make are-”

But as she is talking, you’re concentrating. You think of the War Follower you saw earlier, how it snatched up anything that moved. The lightest mental touch upon Liraels mind results in the two of you tightly binding your thoughts together and then you reach out, trying to find the War Follower and bring it here. It’s hard, so very hard. Not only is it massive, but it seems to have some sort of magical resistance too. Still, you and Lirael work together and with great effort you drag it towards you.

There is a sound like a bomb going off overhead as the War Follower displaces the air around it, appear just above the beastmen army, whilst you and your allies are far enough away not to get caught by it.

The loud noise and appearance of the monster has the desired effect on the beastmen and they panic, running in all directions – whilst draped in the War Followers thin tendrils. The effect is immediate and predictable. Great swathes of beastmen are lifted into the air and stuffed into the monsters vast maw and your keen senses hear their screams and the sound of flesh and bone being crushed as it chews them up, a noise that makes the part of you that is Lirael physically sick, but you hold it together, for now at least.

Some of the beastmen escape, fleeing in all directions but most are scooped up and eaten. Jane Vindel herself starts yelling at them to stand still and waves her arms at them, realising too late that the War Followers tendrils are draped across her too. As she is scooped up she blasts the things head with spears of ice and with a strange, black-coloured lightning and it recoils slightly, before stuffing her into its mouth, seeming only slightly hurt by her attack. Yeah, it definitely has some form of magical resistance.
>>
Although untouched by its tendrils you yell to your allies to stay still. A wise precaution as it turns out. Once it has consumed all the beastmen in its grasp the creature turns in a circle several times, brushing its tendrils across you all, before heading ponderously away.

You breathe out a sigh of relief, everything went according to plan, sort of.

Artifice – Gain 2 ranks in Artifice, allowing machines to be controlled remotely after touching them.

Forged by Battle – Gain 2 ranks in Forged by Battle

Might of Jagganatha – gain 2 Ranks in Might

Weakness Yields to Strength

Higher ranks allow you to terrify foes with a demonstration of strength, as well as automatically hit scared foes with melee attacks, despite their defences

Are we allowed to buy ranks in this?
>>
>>38384371
We need 20 for it, we have 25 currently.
Although I'm pretty sure thats wrong, but whatever.

>>38384402
We could, if we ever have XP to spare and nothing better to spend them on.
>>
>>38384402
Yes
>>
>25 Unspent XP
Is that right? I could've sworn we had 21 at the end of the last thread?
>>
>>38384438

We are currently banking 15 I think. For the progenitor ability for vampires.

I think We have more for Meta reasons, but It is being held for the proper story point.
>>
>>38384438
>>38384473
My mistake, I forgot to add the 6 on from last thread, updating to 31 total
>>
I'ld still like to try and get that scry power rather than spend our xp now.
>>
>>38384532
Yeah, AA is holding onto the xp he got for doing some work until he can spend it all at an appropriate place.

Not sure if that means holding off until Baalzi starts being a dick or until the middle of the fight with Jane or what.
>>
>>38384600
How do you propose we do that?
>>
>>38384532
>We are currently banking 15 I think.
Primacy doesn't have a XP cost listed right now, I just noticed. But I'm also fairly sure it was 15 yes.

We probably shouldn't get all the Metapsionics stuff until we know for sure we are going to use it next thread.
>>
I still think Darkness is a good buy. Increases our stealth bonus 15 more than what we have now and if we go another rank into it we can summon up clouds of darkness.

Pretty sure it'll eventually get shifted into Void stuff too since RoS eventually will and that ones one of the higher end Gifts.
>>
>>38384683

Well yeah, next thread hope we can kill this bitch and move to the next target.

I do look forward for Dimensional Armory for Dev, Lirael and Rainya.

Adaption also provides some really cheap hp too.
>>
>>38384772
First thing everyone gets is Psychic Shield.
Then we can start looking at other stuff.
>>
>>38384791

Thats the first of course.

We also can easily just hand that one out as the first one, then other stuff.

Just a point that a lot of the benefits are nice.
>>
I want our god damn facility back.
>>
We have 4 FBBxp right now. We could spend 1 regular xp + the 4 FBBxp we have and get the next rank of FBB so that we get 5FBBxp per fight minimum, meaning we get a rank up of 1 Jaggie gift per fight.
>>
>>38384827
Getting Wishcrafting would be nice for Psychic Infection, it negates the whole penalty on the Metapsionics roll.

>>38384846
Fuck the facility. We just need to sneak in and replicate the activation chamber.
>>
>>38384639
Impossibility 5 and asking Kae what a scry targets with absorb spell.
And the favour of the dice gods.
>>
>>38384887
>Fuck the facility. We just need to sneak in and replicate the activation chamber.
Gonna need a couple more ranks in Artifice before we can make something I trust to do the job without killing us.
>>
>>38384899
>What a scry targets
Space-time.
>>
>>38384899
Scry doesn't target anything in that sense.

>>38384924
Not really, we don't need more artifice to make it, artifice only helps us in figuring out how it works so we can replicate it.
>>
>>38384887
I want our supercomputer thing too, not just the activation chambers. Also all those guns would be nice
>implying the fae haven't looted the everything
>>
>>38384931
>>38384948
That's what Impossibility is for.
>>
>>38384877

I would back that, however I don't think we could get the votes for it currently.

We have at least 1-2 more fights soon. I would be for maxing FBB just so we get all sorts of bonus Xp.
>>
>>38384948
Shee's tried making machines and stuff already and it didn't exactly go so hot. Higher Artifice would help with that.

It's not like we're going to be going and doing it right now as our next thing. We have time to get it up higher. I'd be surprised if we don't have 3+ Artifice before we attempt to make the chambers what with the FBB xp and maybe 1 or 2 more favor from Jaggie letting us get a couple ranks in it.
>>
>>38385005
Impossibility isn't a do-whatever-you-want power.

I personally hope we never get the scrying gift.
>>
>>38385062

Get enough artifice and if we know how it works we can make it in our realm and bring it out.

I say once we do that, we go to spaceport with Lirael and subtly scan ever mechanical device there.

For reasons.
>>
>>38385062
>and it didn't exactly go so hot
It went absolutely perfect actually. It went so good she and Dev got the idea that Shee only needs schematics to make giant super robots.

I get you really badly want a reason to convince people to buy your artifice for those biocybernetics, and I'm not against Artifice.
But thats just not a good reason.
>>
>>38385136
>It went absolutely perfect actually. It went so good she and Dev got the idea that Shee only needs schematics to make giant super robots.
No it didn't. She made a bunch of stuff that looked right, but was nonfunctional and she more or less said to herself that if she was better at this kind of thing it would be a lot easier.

>I get you really badly want a reason to convince people to buy your artifice for those biocybernetics, and I'm not against Artifice.
>But thats just not a good reason.
You're being rather presumptive. I want artifice because it's a good thing in and of itself, and the higher levels letting us make real tech in our realm like we can with plants is the real pinnacle of it for me. The biocybernetics are a nice bonus, but I could take em or leave em.

Honestly, I don't even know what you're trying to argue at this point. It's like you're trying to say that getting higher ranks in it wouldn't actually let us do things with machines easier/better/faster. Yeah, we can do some stuff with it at the bare minimum it's at now, but it's nowhere near ideal.
>>
>>38385260
>No it didn't. She made a bunch of stuff that looked right, but was nonfunctional

>“This” he says “is a mazer power decoupler” he hits a button and it starts humming “can you make another using it as a template?”

>“I never really thought of that” you admit, holding the tool in one hand, using your connection to machinery to examine how it works and then...imagining an identical one in your other hand.

>It takes about a dozen tries to get it right, but once its working, it’s working.

Yes, it did work. We found out we can make everything, as long as we know what it is supposed to look like inside.
>>
>>38385345

Get more artifice, then we can even make a factory in our realm and let Dev handle that to make shit.
>>
>>38385574
Shhh anon. He's one of those guys who will probably get really upset if you keep mentioning a thing. He seems reasonable enough to not turn into a spite anti-voter, but no reason to risk it.
>>
>>38385684
>He's one of those guys who will probably get really upset if you keep mentioning a thing
I'm not upset about it, but 'someone' keeps trying to drag up poor arguments for Artifice, which admittely annoys me.
I do like Artifice and I'm all for building a huge living factory in our realm at some point.
At some point, being the key phrase.
>>
>>38385765
Then what are you even arguing about? I was saying that we'd probably passively get a rank or 2 in it by the time we got around to messing with the facility or psychic activation chambers because of FBB or Jaggantha favor, and you started going on about how we don't need it.
>>
>Not picking Might of Jaggantha so that we can smack the shit out of people better
>>
>>38385806
Because we don't.
>>
Well we will want might 3 at some point too, to unlock higher tier jagga powers.
>>
>>38386665
Blood Talons + highest Might we can get + Thousand Biting Claws + Area Lash + more Tentacles
hue hueheuheuhee
>>
>>38386715

Well, might 8 would add 12 damage per tentacle.Unarmed 5 would add 6 more per attack.
