You are Makoto Kiryoka; a teenage boy with a penchant for getting into strange situations. You bear the power of the Mahou Shoujo against the corrupted souls that seek to terrorise the innocent.

After making a fairly terrible introduction of your male form to Shimada earlier today, you decided to opt for patrolling the night to make sure she doesn't become corrupted and hurt anyone. But before you could truly begin, you've picked up the distinct trail of not one, but two magical girls in the city.
>>
>>37290948

"That can't be right." You say in disbelief, staring at one of the holograph screens Yuuki is projecting. Over a translucent blue layout of the city, you can see two blips belonging to magical girls unaffiliated with you; one being Shimada, and the other a stranger to you. It matches up with your own personal sensing ability when you look out at the city.

"You're seeing the same thing I am right now. Two signatures, aside from Oomura-san and yourself." Yuuki states, fiddling with some other bits and pieces on the readout. "One of them is definitely Hiroko transformed, but she doesn't look corrupted yet."

"What about the other one?" You ask. Yuuki places a hand in front of his mouth and stares at the screen.

"I can't tell." He can only reply. You stare back out over the cityscape, seeing the bright spark of Shun's jets and Yui's aura hovering about the city. Yuuki looks over to you. "I advise caution if you want to engage. You might have backup but you'll be going in blind."

You need to get in there, that much you're certain of, but you're torn on which aura you should head for. Lacking a way to quickly communicate with the pair, you can only hope they opt for the other one. Unless...

"Yuuki, Shun doesn't happen to have communications in her suit, does she?" You ask.

"Rudimentary ones, yes." He confirms. "Do you have orders?"

"Tell them to head for Shimada and make sure she's okay." You start to walk out towards the city, tightening your gloves. "I'll see who the new girl is." With that said, you crouch down and kick off into the sky, soaring over the trees and making your way into the city. You can't detect Shun like this, since she has no focus to locate, but Yui seems to be heading for Hiroko, so your message might have gotten through.

"Alright." You head for the unknown, who seems to be walking atop the rooftops, some distance behind Shimada, but quite slowly. It's a strange feeling of power that embodies this aura; incredibly dense and static, not like your free-flowing nature. You dart off the sides of a few buildings and street lamps like a human cricket and leap onto a building where you can get a better view.

Standing on a rooftop below you appears to be her. The figure, clad in gleaming golden armour covering her entire body, but bearing no weapon, stares over the city before her. The chance of being able to recognise her face seems to dash upon the ground as you realise her face is obscured by a full plate-helm. Despite the fearsome defensive on display, the ensemble still features a few frills and tassels emerging in places.

She doesn't seem to have noticed you yet. What do you do?

"Well, she doesn't look corrupted." From your experience, those girls seem to be preoccupied with torturing people whilst she seems to be fairly benign, at least for now. Aside from that, while the aura is indeed unusual, it doesn't feel corrupted. You're actually having a hard time detecting any hint of corruption inside her; the energy is just too dense to get a good read. If she's not corrupted and not causing property damage, maybe she isn't here to kill you? You decide to take the leap.

With a gulp, you jump down to the building below you. You slam on the roof and pop back up, standing defensively before the girl, whose back is to you. Despite the noise you made, she hasn't turned to face you yet. Did she not hear me? You think, taking a few steps closer.

"Hello?" You call out to her. "Can you hear me?" Your words fall on seemingly deaf ears, as the armoured figure completely ignores you. You wait for a few moments to see if there is a delayed reaction but nothing seems to come of it so you walk a little closer. Now within touching range, the figure still ignores you.

"I said, can you hear me!?" You call out, a little louder this time. Again, no response. You lightly tap the helmet, but the suit remains solid. "Maybe it's empty..." You think, walking around to the face. It's completely obscured, so for all you know it really could be an empty suit. The aura seems to suggest otherwise, but why would it just ignore you like this?

You're determined to get an answer out of this thing one way or another so you start talking regardless.

"*ahem* Hello, I am Maiden White, protector of this city and purifier of magical girls, of which you are one." You stand as professionally and stoic as you possibly can in your fluffy white dress. "I know you're one of us, and you don't have to be afraid, we won't hurt you. We just want to stop you from hurting others." The figure continues to ignore you.

"I'm not sure if you can hear me in that tin can of yours, garish as it is I still kind of wish I had one instead of this." You fluff your dress. You wait for a few moments but still have no response. It's like talking to a brick wall, just shinier. Failing words, there's always something in your arsenal that can get a reaction out of people. You crack your knuckles and smile, then hug the suit firmly. It's smooth to the touch with a beautiful texture. You feel like you could caress this metal for hours. However, despite your best efforts even your signature hug elicits no response. You keep at it though.

"Eghh, I hope Shun and Yui are having more success with Hiroko." You sigh. Almost immediately, the head swivels with a grinding screech to face you.

"AHH!" You shriek as the suit moves. Despite the moment, it still doesn't speak or do anything else. "Uh... did I say something bad?" You ask hesitantly. It does not respond.

"Shun and Yui?" You ask, but nothing comes of it. "Success?" Again, nothing. Your eyes narrow.

"...Hiroko Shimada." You state. The suit turns again, this time facing you with it's whole bulk. You might want to stop hugging it now.

You will not release this hug. Not until she feels it.

"So you are alive... probably." You exclaim, looking up at the suit's face. You receive nothing but a cold, unfeeling stare in return. "Is she a friend? An enemy? What do you know about Hiroko?" You ask. It seems to recognise your words, but remains silent in the face of them. Suddenly, it turns to face the direction of Hiroko's aura. You glance and notice Yui's has finally caught up to her.

"Oh, that's Y-... Er, Ebony Strict." You mutter. You realise you probably shouldn't be blathering your real names in front of potential foes. The suit observes the auras for a moment, then, with a sickening crunch of metal, crouches and leaps off the building into the street. As you were reluctant to release the hug, it drags you along with it.

"Agh!" Despite the bulk of the suit, this girl appears to be almost as fast as you, and probably absorbs impacts better. She doesn't seem to possess the same level of dexterity you utilised to bounce off of things. However, as she lands in the street and rushes towards a car, she smacks it out of the way and onto the sidewalk. But, she might be a little bit stronger, you think.

In no time at all, you arrive within sight of the three. For the first time, you manage to get a glimpse of Shimada's transformed body. She wears a kind of leotard, not unlike a bathing suit, and her legs are bare save for some short boots and a swirling vortex of water beneath her feet over which she seems to hover. From her shoulders tangle a large cape draped with fabric that seems to shift and shudder as it is viewed, like a falling waterfall. Her head bears a kind of pearl tiara with extensions that cover her ears. It's pretty incredible to see someone usually so demure wearing a lavish outfit.

Not that you have long to admire it. As Yui is talking with what looks to be a reluctant Hiroko, your metallic friend comes rushing in and seems to ball up a fist. You blink and try to pull the arm back, siphoning energy into it to dissuade her, but unfortunately she's moving too fast and you caught on too slow. Yui glances at the pair of you just in time to be sucker punched into a nearby building by goldie. The wall explodes, sending a cloud of brick and mortar flying into the night air. Yui crumples to the ground beneath it, writhing in pain.

"AH!" Hiroko squeals and floats backward on her vortex. Shun similarly stumbles in surprise.

"Yui!?" Shun calls out in a panic before glaring at the girl. "Aggh, It's that clunky bitch I saw before!" She grinds her teeth and balls up a mechanical fist in anger, jetting her thrusters. She's pepping herself for a rocket punch, you recognise. Even with you hanging off her, the figure in golden armour moves unhindered and turns to face Shun. She doesn't seem to be preparing anything, but she sent Yui flying with that hit from before. This won't end well.

"Don't!" You call out to her. At your call, her rage halts and her jets cool.

"But-"

"Don't do anything stupid, M-Musume!" You continue to say. "I don't know why she attacked, but she's not corrupted."

As you call out at her, you feel a hand clamp onto one of the arms wrapped around the knight. She tries to pull it off but you try and hold on.

"Nngh!" You grunt, pawing at the armour as her metal-clad grip intensifies. Even in your super powered form your strength is insufficient, and she wrenches your arm away. With your limb in her grasp, she swings you around and slams you into the pavement beneath her, cracking the cement. You black out for a second as you feel your shoulder shatter under the impact, along with some other bones.

"NO!" Shun shrieks, and runs over to you. You can just barely move from that impact, the pain is intense. The golden figure turns around and starts to walk towards Shimada, who slowly floats backwards in fear.

"Glory... what are you doing?" She asks the figure as it approaches wordlessly.

[1/2]
>>
>>37295010
Oh hey, the retarded option got our shoulder shattered. What a surprise.
>>
>>37295010

"You... bastard!" Shun looks up at her, rage renewed and her jets burst to life. Unable to talk her down, she launches herself at 'Glory'.

"OouaAAH!" She screams as her fist encases itself in several layers of alien armour. The armoured figure spins around and crouches, attempting to catch her blow with its' hands. However her jets make her too fast, and Shun lands a direct hit to the chest. You heart a cry of pain and the two of them fly past Shimada. Shun knocks her into a telephone pole, denting it under the impact and sending her spiralling into the air before sprawling her over the pavement. She stands a few feet away and vents some gas, letting herself cool. The figure slowly stands up and stares down Shun. The armour looks dented, but she seems to still be standing.

Your healing powers have kicked in by this point, and you think you might be able to move, but you're in no shape to start fighting. You spy Yui in the corner, beaten but not down, and Shimada nearby, watching the fight. Shun stands defiantly against the girl but you can only feel your heart sink. Yui and yourself survived those blows because of your powers, but Shun doesn't have hers. She won't survive a hit like that.

As Glory, as Shimada called her, begins to rise and walk towards Shun, you realise you don't have a lot of time. With feeling back in your legs, you rise to your feet and immediately pulse with energy. Swirling it around in your hands into a wide disc, you launch a protective shield of shining manifest energy towards Shun just as Glory closes in. She slams one foot on the ground and swings her fist wide towards Shun, but it collides with your 'shield' and flies away from its mark. With this momentary distraction, Shun flares one of the jets mounted on her legs and pirouettes on the spot, smacking Glory in the face with her foot and sending her flying to the second story of a nearby office building. Even she had to feel that one.

Shimada watches this unfold in horror, unsure of what to do. You look over to her and call out. "Y-You know that girl in the armour?" You ask, walking over to where Yui lies. Shimada turns to you and nods.

She looks over to you. "Y-Yes, that's Glory Gold."

"Whoever it is," you cough, "Get them to stop. We don't want to fight."

"I... I don't know if she'll listen when she's like that, but I don't want her to get hurt..." She murmurs, looking over at the two fighting. Despite her power, Glory seems staggered by Shun's powerful blows, along with her airborne manoeuvrability. Still, that armour is taking far more hits than any of you ever could.

You kneel down beside Yui and place your heads upon her chest. You close your eyes and elicit a quick pulse that shocks her. She seems to 'pop' in some places, and her eyes open. She grabs her chest and coughs.

"Ugh... what happened?" Yui asks, holding her head.

"Magical girl punched you, right out of nowhere." You tell her. Yui doesn't seem to understand until the street beside you explodes. Inside the crater, Shun clears the debris cloud with the venting of her suit, revealing Glory on the ground beneath her. Yui and yourself rise to your feet to face the two of them.

"Had enough yet?" Shun asks her, panting under her breath. Glory is still moving, but her suit looks damaged and she's having some trouble.

"Maiden!" Shun calls out to you. "Hurry up and purify her, before she starts moving again!" You can't recall seeing any corruption inside her, but it certainly wasn't a good aura. Maybe your purification will work regardless. But if it doesn't you'll be putting yourself in great danger being that close and vulnerable for nothing.

>>
>>37297216

Despite the lack of evidence, it has to be corruption going on here. Even if it isn't, maybe your purification can do something here.

"Alright." You tell Shun. The two of you go over to join her and stand over Glory. Faced with the three of you, she seems to jerk and tries to get another hit in. Shun retorts by slamming down a rocket-propelled fist onto her foe, cracking it against the helmet. Shimada winces, but the helmet remains firm.

"Agh, doesn't know when to quit." Shun comments, waving her hand around.

"Glory..." Hiroko whispers, looking at the three of you standing over her impacted in the street. "What are you doing to her!?" She calls out. You glance over and see her standing helplessly nearby. She doesn't seem to have nearly the level of power that Glory, or any of your group, possess. As such, she's reluctant to act against or for you.

"Don't worry," you say, holding out a hand, "We're helping her. It's alright." You can't tell if she believes you or not, but she doesn't move from her spot, and just watches with clasped hands. She'll just have to trust that you're doing the right thing.

Taking a stance over her, you slide a hand on either side of her helmet and hug her before you begin to spread your aura. All those with rampant corruption you've faced before had wild auras that were easy to mix with, but Glory's one is dense and shielded, much like her physical body. A kind of interconnected shield of golden threads keeping her spirit condensed. Your aura tries to mix with hers but finds the connection difficult through this wall. However, you are adept at this, and she's injured. In physical skill, she bests you, but the inverse is true for the metaphysical. With a push of your superior powers, the shield dissolves and your souls fuse.

[1/2]
>>
>>37298355

Now mixed, you can see corruption inside her soul; held within structures like golden cocoons, similar to the shield you broke down before. This might explain why it was so hard to detect before if it was hiding like this, rather than just lying around like those you fought before. You easily shatter these structures and get to work purifying their contents as they spill out into the aether. The small amount of darkness is pathetic before you, and you crush it with ease, replacing it with your light. In no time at all you've finished repairing the aura and destroying the darkness of her soul. You release the connection and stand back, letting both of you breathe.

"Ha~ it's done." You say, taking a step back to nurse your head. Your two team-mates sigh and step back from Glory. Hiroko quickly moves to her side. She doesn't seem to have reverted back, but then she never truly corrupted either.

"That was a close one. You're getting fast at that." Shun comments, crossing her arms. You blush and shrug. Hiroko continues to comfort her friend, who seems to still be conscious but hasn't moved yet. No longer condensed, her aura seems to be flying free like the three of yours now.

So when let her know we're 'Minako', do we give her hints that we were telling her the truth earlier when we were Makoto?

Just the fact that she hasn't recognized us seems to indicate that maybe there's more to the magical girl outfits than we think.

> Just going to say, this battle went much better for you guys than I wanted it to. Managing to purify Glory this early is going to make things... interesting.

Shimada, with a very limited understanding of what has occurred here, slowly rises to her feet, almost on the verge of crying. No sigh of her breaking from corruption though. "What did you do!?" She cries out.

"I told you before." She sniffles and continues to glare. "Look, I know this must seem unbelievable, but we really did do this to help your friend. If we'd left her like she was, she would have corrupted into a villain and hurt a lot of innocent people. We didn't want to hurt her, but she gave us no choice." Hiroko seems to think upon your words, and looks back down at Glory.

"Yeah, she attacked first." Shun adds. Yui rubs her side with a pained expression. Hiroko glares at her for a second but turns back to Glory again.

[1/2]
>>
>>37299188

"Anyway, now that it's all over, I believe we were about to introduce ourselves." Yui suggests.

"Mhm, you're the magical girls, I know." Hiroko replies. Yui seems a little annoyed to have the wind taken out of her sails. "A friend of mine mentioned you. Said my powers might be like yours." You can't help but smirk a little bit at that.

"That thing you said about hurting people..." Hiroko continues. "I think I've already... felt it."

"...What?" You mutter, taken aback by her comment. "That's impossible. We would've felt it, and you wouldn't have been able to change back into your regular form. You become wild and crazy!" You insist to her. Hiroko nods.

"But not if you purify them, right?" She adds, looking up at you. You nod back to her. "Well Glory... she did that to me!" That... surprises all three of you. You recall Robo specifically calling your focus the only one that could purify others. Besides, you can *feel* corruption inside her; Glory didn't do anything to get rid of it.

"So if Glory can do that, why would you need to do it to her?" She asks with a determined look on her face. "How do I know you aren't... agh, 'corrupted' or anything. Why should I trust you?"

Because i bet Glory didn't realize what she was doing ether. If glory says that we are doing what she did then we all have some big problems.
But if she can't find surprised corruption in us then we are much more likely to be clean.
Also it means we learn more about these powers from a source that isn't robo which is a good thing.
>>

"Because," you say, starting to pulse your power, "I'm your friend." Your dress begins to dissolve away, leaving behind your regular clothing and fully exposing you as 'Minako' to her. Hiroko blinks at first, then jerks backwards.

"Ah, w-wow, I mean you looked similar, b-but I didn't think that-" She turns away for a second and bites one of her nails. "So you did all that because of my powers?" She turns back to you.

"No, I helped you because you had trouble swimming." You smile sweetly, "I had no idea at the time, and it wouldn't have made a difference if I did. Once you trusted me enough to tell me, I just gave you some advice." Hiroko listens to you intently and her lip wobbles. Once you finish, she leans forward and lays her head on your chest. You caress the back of her head softly as she takes it all in. You hear something stirring beneath you and see Glory starting to move again.

You and Hiroko stand back, giving her some room, and you shift back into Maiden White. Shun and Yui remain on guard, still distrusting her. Pieces of dust and debris fall away from her armour, still gleaming underneath. One hand seems to to be holding her head whilst the other just hangs at her side. To your surprise, a voice seems to emanate from her inside. You remember hearing grunts during the fight, but even her posture seems less static now.

"Glory," Hiroko immediately moves over to aid her, "Careful. You've just been... purified, I think." Glory gives her a lingering look as she says this. Her gaze continues to turn until she sees the three of you, then she stumbles back, startled and raises her fists. Shun and Yui don't move but have their powers ready.

You're not in the mood to fight someone you just saved, but nor do you have the ability to talk her down.

"Hiroko, tell her we mean her no harm." You say. She nods and leans down, holding Glory's helmet.

"Calm down, they're not going to hurt me, or you. It's just a misunderstanding." She pleads. Glory maintains her fighting pose, casting a look over at Shun and Yui. You notice this and gesture for them to stand down. Reluctantly, for both, the two of them put down their fists. As they do, so does Glory. She goes to hold her helmet again.

"Ngh..." You hear her grunt, "W-Who..." Her voice, finally appearing before you, seems gruff but is whispering softly. No doubt nursing some killer headache from you rooting around in her aura. You can't place it among the people you know. "Who are you?"

"I'm the person who just saved you from a terrible fate. Maiden White," you gesture calmly to yourself, "at your service."

"I didn't need your services, White." She mutters back. "Whatever your 'purity' did only hobbled me. I can't do it anymore, I can't concentrate."

> Sorry about the delay, just passing a lot of plot details through my head so I don't screw things up in the future.

"What do you mean?" You ask, wondering why Glory can't recognise a simple head-ache.

"How could you not know?" She says, somewhat confused herself. "When you transform and concentrate on something; a single task, it's like this giant burst of energy and power. Everything just fades away. But I can't do it anymore."

"We've never been able to do anything like that." You tell her. Although you can't see her face, her body language seems to indicate surprise. "Maybe this had something to do with your weird aura. It had a bunch of walls and barriers set up."

"Maybe..." She mutters back. "It gave me the strength save Shimada back then." In an instant, she balls up a fist and slams it onto the ground. But, rather than exploding the pavement like before, it barely makes a dent in the ground. She hangs her head with a sigh. Without her concentration trance, it seems like a lot of her previous power fades away.

"Well, that's a relief to me." Yui breathes a sigh of relief at Glory's reduced power. You glare at her, but can't exactly fault her.

"It's a lot of power on exchange for something that could potentially harm someone." You reason. "Maybe it's best that it's gone. For your own sake."

"But without it I couldn't hope to match any of you, or Shimada when she turned. What good am I like this?" She laments, staring at you.

"Alone, maybe so, but what if you joined us?" You ask, gesturing to yourself with a thumb. "As part of a team, we can cover each others backs, make up for what we lack. We even bested you in your empowered trance." Shun and Yui seem to have issues with your sudden offer, but neither raises a complaint. They trust your judgement, it seems. Despite that, Glory shakes her head.

"I doubt I would bring much to your team like this." She tells you, and turns to leave. "I'm sorry for attacking you; I was not myself. I can respect the work you do, knowing what Hiroko transformed into. I hope I can leave her safety to you from now on. You seem to have a better understanding of what's going on here than I ever did."

"Wait, where are you going?" Hiroko asks, stepping forward.

"There are some things I need to figure out, and I'd prefer to do it alone." She replies, keeping her back to the four of you.

"The offer stands." You call out to her. She waves and disappears amongst the buildings. Shimada watches her until she is gone, then sits down with a sigh.

"She'll be alright." You sit down with her.

"I hope so..." She mutters back. Not wanting to stay here all night attack more attention than you might have already, the four of you make your way back to the tree line of the shrine. Shimada, using her ability to shift into fluids, manages to scale the buildings with some difficulty, but is still far slower than the rest of you. Although Glory may have declined, you may have recruited another girl for your fighting force this day.

Sorry for getting slow at the end there. You guys really fucked up some plot details by winning against Glory in this. Not that I'm mad; I get to think up a bunch of other stuff now as a result. Funny that the decision to Purify her instead of just beat her would have produced vastly different endings. Shimada would have attacked if you chose to knock her out. You guys were juuuust diplomatic enough to avoid a brawl.

Still, Shimada, and I'm sad I didn't get to say her focus name in here but, Fluid Azure is now on your team. She's still weak, but has the ability to turn into water, rendering most physical attacks absolutely worthless against her. Reaaallly wish I could have used that against you guys.

That's not all a fluid form is good for.

she's probably starting to think she could be one as well

Wa ha ha. Sorry to ruin your plans! Would revealing ourself as Makoto made her flip?

Momo/Yuuki ship.

>...You *really* look like her, even the ass.
Stupid Sexy Makoto.

Anyways, not much for this one. I really don't think Saito is Glory, not unless he has amnesia about his time as her.

Yeah, probably.
But there are so many possibilities.

Or he's really good at hiding it from everyone

>Our Main is a Hero of Justice character who usually skates by via Diplomacy and Purification at every turn.
>GM plans a high-chance-of-losing match but makes the winning strategy "Diplomacy and Purification".

I'm just sayin. It would be easier to screw us over by making the winning conditions be "Beat the shit out of them".

That's the thing, diplomacy and purification nearly got the shit beat out of us. It was because of extremely lucky rolls that Shun didn't get smacked around.
