As the idols all rush off to prepare for the opening act, your finally drop your smile, as now you had to get into the serious stuff. As you've gone over with Jenner, the times where your idols would be the most vulnerable would be during the opening and closing acts, where every idol was expected to be on stage. You then check up on K-Zwolf, who is still trying to chase down that girl. Despite K-Zwolf's speed advantage, its quarry knew how to make the tight hallways and corners to her advantage, always managing to just duck out of K-Zwolf's reach at just the right second. Whoever she was, she was good.

Meanwhile, Niko takes center stage as the lead for the second act in the set.

With that, Melissa moves to link up with K-Zwolf, taking a path that will allow her to cut off the fleeing girl. Sparky makes her way to the spot where the bag was originally dropped off. Meanwhile, Morgan uses her jump jet to leap into the air, and then fires her grappling hook to reel herself into the rafters of the stadium roof, getting a birds' eye view of the entire stadium below.

"Okay, I'm at the bag." Sparky says, approaching the discarded bag slowly and carefully. "Let's crack this sucker open..."

"Whohohohoho!" Sparky chuckles as she carefully unzips the bag but stops halfway. "SOMEBODY doesn't want me opening this bag!"

"What did you find?" You ask.

"An honest to god booby trap!" Sparky laughs. "Nothing too lethal, but it's designed to slag everything in the bag if it's not opened correctly."

"Can you disarm it?"

"That's like asking if I know how to breathe. It's a simple fix." Sparky assures you as she pulls a pair of wire cutters from her belt and snips something inside the bag before unzipping it fully. "Jackpot!"

Sparky then pulls pieces of a rifle out of the bag and lays them out.

"Anybody know what this thing is?"

"A gun?" You suggest.

"Ha ha, very funny, Producer."

"I recognize it. It's a Sleeper Hit." Morgan says.

"A... what?" You blink.

"Basically a high end tranquilizer rifle." Morgan explains. "Uses a combination of laser rangefinding and magnetic fields to propel a specialized dart at dynamic speed to hit targets at absurd distances."

"Ah, so the name-"

"Yeah, let's not get into that." Morgan grunts. "Anyways, from what it looks like, the sniper was going to use it to put one of us out of commission, most likely Rin. Might want to grab a dart for Doctor Stiles to look at."

"Sure thing. Sparky, get that bag back ASAP."

"Got it." Sparky grins.

"Melissa, how are you doing?" You switch perspectives.

Melissa winds up her augmetic arm and punches the wall ahead of her with all her might, crushing concrete and plaster and sending chunks it of outwards like an explosion. You did NOT want to have to explain this to the stadium management...

However, it does prove effective, as the sudden destruction of the wall catches the fleeing girl off guard and she briefly pauses, which is all K-Zwolf needs to pounce. This ends both the girl and the Cyberhound rolling across the ground as she tries to push the robotic canine off of her.

Meanwhile, Melissa looks on a bit helplessly, as she can't attack without risking hitting K-Zwolf.

Just add a more lethal payload to the Sleeper Hit's payload. then turn it over to the tribunal, and let them get buried in the hate and paperwork of every other idol competitor.

if they want to pull this shit, framing them right back isn't just fair play, its a slick move to make them back off while we go for a tribunal seat. Also gives us the high ground for doing the 'right' thing and bringing it to decision-maker's attention.
