Life after death for a 29 yrs old chemical engineer was way more exciting than a chorus of angels and floating clouds.

He was reborn in a world of swords and sorcery, where he has already had plenty of adventures, messed with the soap industry introduced baking soda to the world, befriended a demon prince, a vampire count, 2 succubi, a dwarven princess, and the 2nd princess of the Heavenly Empire, as well as bought/adopted several cute girls to be his sisters, helped finish a continent-sized war, and introduced skyships and now mana generator into the north of the continent.

Not bad for a 11 years old.

The game starts in about 40 minutes. Starting the thread early so we start with everyone

so If we can generate MP I think our next step should be researching dungeon hearts and how they create "monsters"

Each time someone brings that up, i get this hellish image of a monster spawning right on top of a meat grinder. That just seems incredibly cruel on so many levels, but I guess that is what modern meat/eggs industry is like, really.

Also, I just realized where I heard of Asmund's original plan before. Pic related

well we can't really introduce modern farms here so I don't see much choice, population is always growing. after we introduce free near perfect health care thanks to MP generators and the potion makers.

also building it on top of vorpal meat grinders is a great idea. fuck half of them would be plant things. and they would all kill us if they have the chance.

There's tons of youtube videos out there, if your eyes can handle it.

There's drowning, suffocation, dropping from tall heights, baiting them to attack each other, careful use of lava/fire/cacti, and the good old "force them to spawn somewhere where they can't hit you and you can hit them".

and that's all WITHOUT mods. Good night.

No, I meant, no animals with complex nervous systems.

Hell, you can bite a chunk off a fish, and it won't even go into shock.

Third world person here, living next to the shore. Ive seen fish get torn in half or almost by sharks, sea lions and such, and they just keep swimming instead of going into shock like animals with a more complex nervous system would.

You ever heard "they feel no pain" applied to fish? its pretty much true from what I've seen

So yeah, I really don't care if you do whatever with fish or insects.

And im not sure about lizards.

And I imagine some insects DO drop food, but I was thinking on shells for armor, quitine planks, claws, stuff like that. I guess giant bees could drop honey jars?

Well, its starting time, so lets go...
***

Eldric runs into the garden after Lyann, and finally catches her as they run around the house. Huck-tackling her, they roll around on the grass as he tickles her, the beautiful redhead crying and laughing as she offers a token resistance.

"Nuuuh! hahahah-! help. help!" ~she cries out in between laughing as Eldric gently pins her and tickles her

"A-ah! Eldri~c, hold on! ah! air, can't bre-!" ~she whimpers out, her face red

Suddenly, Eldric gets punched from behind as hard as Athena's almost-four-years-old fists can handle.

"Don't bully Lyann, Eldric you meanie!" ~our precious little sister cries out

"Ouch! ouch! don't hit me! I give up, ouch!" ~Eldric cries out in felsetto as his baby sister punches him

Of course, it doesn't really hurts. Obviously

Eldric rolls off from Lyann's back and lays down on the grass while Athena rescues the redhead.

"Oooh, thank you" ~Lyann smooches Athena on both cheeks~ "My savior! how can I ever thank you?"

Athena right away points to the kitchen's window, or rather, to the cookie jar atop the shelf, which can be seen from the garden.

"Ah... alright" ~Lyann picks up Athena in her arms and walks off into the house with her~ "Eldri~c, let's play some more later, alright?"

"Yeah, sure" ~he says while sitting up on the grass

A little bit later, Athena, Eldric, Lyann, Stella and Zoe are having cookies in the garden. Well, the cookies are too thick and coarse for our baby siblings to enjoy, so Elysia and Fredrick are just enjoying the sunshine as Lyann and Zoe hold them gently.

After enjoying the cookies, most of the girls go into the house, but we ask Zoe for her old color cubes.

These cubes are a toy we made for her all the way back in Opal city, shortly after buying her off the slaver's stockade. They are just wood cubes with bright letters and numbers engraved on the sides, but knowing her, she's kept them all this time.

Indeed, she has them in her item box, albeit she is a bit against giving them away. Well, she's a good girl, so when we explain it's for Athena, she agrees without problem. We could and maybe should also make more cubes, so it's easier to make words with many of the same letters.

"And this is the S. What does the S and the A sound like together"
"S-A"
"Alright, now without the pause... SA"
"ZA!" ~says Athena

Well... really, the difference isin't that big... let's let it go for now so she doesn't gets discouraged

"Yup! you're so smart!" ~says Eldric while smooching and hugging his baby sister
"yay!" ~Athena laughs softly as she enjoys the cuddling

A bit later, we take a nap together (Zoe took the chance and got her cubes back. She loves them a lot, after all) with Athena on the living room's couch.

Athena is wearing a long fluffy coat over her dress. If anything, it just makes her feel even more plushieƱlike and huggable.

By the time we wake up, Stella had at some point sneaked into the couch to have nap time with us as well, so she's hugging Eldric and Stella while the three of them nap on the couch.

Well I think better paper came first, however a press with movable type is pretty easy.

I think both might make for an interesting side project and would help spread literacy. The paper you described us getting sounded pretty low quality.

Too bad MC probably didn't watch much anime. Kerry showed everyone how to deal with mages. Non-linear thinking, bullets, bombs, and maybe just a bit of your own mojo applied creatively.

Plus Meloi was an arrogant dumbass, which kinda fits. Most mages, if they live in isolation and whatnot, are prone to hubris. This leads them to get sloppy, and thus killable.

Stella's soft hair is surprisingly shiny. and even tho she has never had a haircut, it seems to have naturally stopped growing after reaching shoulder lenght.

..does that means it's, you know, fur, rather than hair? Well, it's soft and fluffy, and actually, tends to organize itself naturally, same as Zoe's, to the point that both mom and Ellie already gave up trying to comb it into submission.

Well, it's alright. It looks good on her, gives her a tomboyish look that goes well with her body. By the way, even tho her musculature is quite defined, her body has an absolutely feminine feel and look to it. It's not like she's muscular, it's more like she's just ideally healthy, I guess?

"Uhnn... Stella, what are you doing?" ~asks Eldric as Stella keeps licking his face, her own eyes closed as she moves just her head and neck for it.
"She's just being affectionate" ~says Ellie as she sets the table for dinner, across the room.
"Ah, Stella, that tickles, please stop"
"No!" ~she says with a smile
*sigh*

Well, there's absolutely nothing sexual about it. She's just beng affectionate, after all-

Dad comes home and kisses Ellie after walking in. Stella comes off and goes to greet him with a smile, tail wagging.

You do know wolve's tails aren't meant to wag, don't you? Hey, are you really a wolf!?

"Dad, welcome home!" ~she says happily
"I'm home" ~he pats and caresses her head.

This girl is too friendly, or is that fine?

Stop trying to bring your favorite anime into everything you touch, it's fucking annoying.

Yeah, but shadowrunners don't fuck up, if they live long. A shadowrunner thinks of everything, and maybe a few things he simply suspects just because ya don't know if the guy's a vampire or not.

"Hi son. You too, get up" ~ah, we got patted on the head, too
"Sure"

A little bit later, mom arrives, and we all have dinner together.

It's a peaceful time. This is really enjoyable family time.

About two weeks later, someone has cashed in on the quest we placed at the adventurer's guild.

A new wild dungeon has been found. It formed naturally in some abandoned kobold warrens a few days south of the city.

This is what we had been waiting for.

Who do you want to take? I imagine Okaba and Asmund so team PROGRESS can examine the dungeon heart in situ? which probably means Aura and Dawn too. That leaves one empty party slot. Lyann?

Are we taking anyone else and treating it like a camping trip, or are we asking the university for technical assistance and treating it like a archeological dog and research site? taking addidtants and more people to help us with the research
>>
>>36565728
Take Lyann with us, and ask the University for assistance. The assistants can help with the Dungeon Biology stuff, which the University would be interested in at a purely academic level.
They don't need to know that the same data can be used as part of our mana generation research.
>>
>>36565728

Take Lyann as the main group of course.

Set it up, get some university assistance, as a dig. Always good info for them.

See if the family wants to treat it as a camping trip too.

"But why's mom going?" ~asks Stella
"Because she's the teacher in charge" ~Eldric explains gently
"And why can't we go?" ~aks Zoe
"Because mom says you two are late with your homework, and because I'd prefer if you stayed home and helped Ellie and dad"
"...." ~Zoe doesn't say anything, but nods
"A-alright..."

Thus, we are taking Asmund, Aura, Dawn, Lyann and Okaba as our main party members, as well as Mako, Ami and Mai. These last three mostly because we aren't comfortable leaving Mako alone without us or Okaba around.

The university principal and the staff seem interested in the project. At least enough so to assign a small budget (which we are completely ignoring since we can come up with that much in an evening, really) and about 6 last year students as assistants.

Officially, our project is a study of the processes involved in a Dungeon's Heart summoning and monster selection.

Or, how does a dungeon choose what to summon?

Of course, we also want to try and remove the dungeon heart, or at least see if it is possible to modify the dungeon permanently for our convenience.

And so, we are taking off with a small caravan of four chariots with staff, and two wagons with lab supplies and other materials.

Sadly(?) its already completed. It has a ending and like 300 omake/epilogue chapters, so once I caught up I started looking for something else

Right now im reading Ideal Pimp Life in japanese with help from google translate

A regular guy gets summoned to another world because his ancestors, 150 years ago, ran away from that world to marry for love.
As a descendant of the royal family, now that a terrible war has ended, he is needed to continue the royal line. So he gets summoned and invited to marry the beautiful queen with the promise that he wont have to do anything.

Actually the queen would prefer that since she likes being in charge, and since hes okay with that, there's beenno problem so far.

He's introducing arabic numerals, glass production, and prime numbers for waterwheel cogs to the world, pretty much by accident through conversations with the queen.

Well, with our brand new combee, we go back to our travel. As instructed, the dungeon appears to be a natural one, and we start building a campsite.

Dungeon monsters cant leave the dungeon while its Dungeon Heart is alive, so we don't need to worry about attacks from it.

After building a pallisade around the campsite, near the dungeon, we leave some guards in place (mostly just to shout alarm in case of monster attack), then start talking about how to tackle the dungeon.

"Are we actually going to take the heart back out with us, or are we going to study it down there?" ~asks Asmund
"Uhmm.. I wonder what would be better? either way, we should define one of the tents as the "return point" for the keystones" ~says Okaba
"Wait, you can change the return point? it doesnt HAS to be an adventurer's guild?" ~asks Lyann
"Of course you can, what made you think you couldnt?"
"Well... I guess we just never tried"

Who are we taking into the forerunner group? just making our way down to the dungeon heart. Once we are there, we can go back and forth with our keystone.

you know what I just thought of? wouldnt it be possible to use Dawn as an anti-magic/ability tank since she absorbs anything that uses MP, anyway?

That was the idea Asmund's dad had when breeding her that way, to begin with.

Also, do we really want to go with the exalted "mote storage" joke? if so, what happens if she absorbs a dragonforce?

Actually, what about when her "tank" is full, does overspill just deals damage as normal? that sounds reasonable to me

Anyway...
***
The first few floors are hardly noticeable, but as we begin descending deeper and deeper, it grows slower, specially when the bosses are of a type that is immune or resistant to magic, or when there is some mechanism we need to figure out before beating them.

In fact, one such boss is giving us troubles right now.

lvl 54 [Steel Bear]

Rather than an armored bear, it is a massive giant beer made of metal. It seems to be that there is some puzzle involved in taking it down.

There are three obelisks behind him, glowing red, blue and green, which take turns growing brighter as the light on the room switches between green, red and blue.

Dragonforce does not seem to be doing anything, and while melee attacks work normally, its quite slow.

*Switch Lyann to seducer so she can check and probably steal any special items the boss may have. Who knows? maybe that will help
* Just keep using the sword, we can outlast the guy, as dull as it is

You pretty much understand that, in a fight, all the white squares are deathly traps that would catapult you against the spikes on the roof.

Also, there are hidden doors from which reinforcements can come into the room.

The dragon is very interested in your gear. Well, leave it to a giant magpie to like shiny stuff, after all.

As for future plans, the dragon has none, he just wants to see the world beyond the dungeon.

Studying the heart, it seems possible to remove, but doing so would be the same as killing it, in the sense that it would free all 66 floors of monsters, allowing them to roam freely, kill eachother, and eventually reach the surface.

Well, the only intelligent monster you have found is the dragon itself, but it still means monsters will begin pouring out into the surface world by the hundreds if not the thousands.

* Remove the heart and teleport to the surface, get ready for a huge, long fight (probably better to prepare the terrain in the surface and moving the campsite away BEFORE taking the dungeon heart)
* Study the heart in situ

You give it a good try and... it doesn't works

Right... it can only be done with natural [non-dungeon] creatures. Well, when you remove the heart, the dragon will cease to be a dungeon creature, so it should work then

"Alright,,, let's do it this way. We'll go prepare the area on the surface and then take the dungeon heart. Then I'll teleport back here and you can join me before we go back to the surface together"
"Seems complicated, but I don't know how this works" ~says the dragon

We teleport back to the surface, and spend the day relocating the campsite. Once that is done, we go back down and ready things

The Dungeon Heart is a massive, red, pulsating gem. It seems imbedded on the ground, and digging around it reveals numerous "veins" of crimson power leading to the rest of the dungeon.

"I see... I wonder if we can actually remove the heart without killing it" ~says Lyann
"Well, either way, the "corpse" would make a good research subject, beautiful miss" ~says Asmund
"Eldric, what do we do? do we just cut these and take it?"
"That's the idea."

As you cut the "power lines", you can feel the energy flow cease. The heart is enormously heavy, but it is not a problem for your group.

"Alright, I'll be back"
"alright" ~says the dragon

* Abandon the dragon down there. Come think of it, its too big to fit through the hallways anyway. It will never make it to the surface if we leave it there

The monsters fight amongst themselves on their way up, so not many of them actually make it. The bosses are either tank and spam, or puzzle bosses, and these last ones are not especially dangerous outside of their rooms, without their special defenses in place.

Thankfully, they really are hostile to eachother. If 2 to 10 bosses came up and attacked you as a group, you would all be in trouble.

Well, as it is, it is a rather awe-inspiring fight anyway. Giant bosses break the ground around you and your party takes them out almost at the same time they poke their heads up.

Well, they are all coming up already wounded, but they are still fairly strong bosses. Of course, they are just beasts, so it cant be helped.

In the end, everyone is exhausted, Dawn is DFC again, and there's a ton of loot dumped all around, most of it stomped by the monsters as they were coming out.

After a while, a great noise not unlike an earthquake shakes the area, and suddenly a kobold peeks out of the former dungeon.

Its a lvl1 kobold

Uhmm... so it went back to being a kobold nest? wait... does that mean the ground itself is generating the kobolds now? dont they need a ecology?

Well, that's a theme for another day.

***
Well, it looks like we can't really learn much during this week out on the field. We finally decide to wrap everything up, and just return to the lab with the Dungeon Heart.

In case you were wondering, Atroma spent most of the week just sitting at the door of the tent, looking out without actually stepping out.

She is intelligent but naive, which isint surprising considering she hadn't even talked with anyone else before now, and the few people she ever saw just ran towards her and got killed by the traps on the floor.

Well, we can use treestride to go back directly to the university's garden so its not that big a problem.

Should we make several treestrides and then go get that queen bee, or was this enough adding female monsters into the menagerie for a month?

I think if we add any more Lyann may not speak to us for a month.

Atroma is very smart, would be a genius at university, however she is likely not a people person yet.

She seems like she would want to sit in the sword just to be around peoplr, but not there.

More shy then Mako.

Alright, let's have her be like in >>36571389
or >>36571331 but really small, normal bee sized. We can "tame" her and let her start a bee hive in the garden to be the first in the world to farm bees.

Let's say she can actually regulate the size of the bee drones by spending a lot of mana into each egg according to how much she feels she needs the protection. since she's going to be living at home, and we are so strong, she could produce normal-sized bees? actually I like that idea a lot, so im going with

Once we work out a symbiotic relationship with the bees we should see if we can build little passages between rooms for them near the ceiling. Ah, what made us think this was going to be easy?
We followed our been to the bee hive, but it is a surprisingly small structure. I mean, our been had shrunk almost to a tenth of the size it was when we caught it, but to think the hive is actually just slightly larger than a termite nest...

They quickly rush us... ouch! hey, what happened to "8 enemies max" uh!? ouch!

damn thats such a sad video every time i see it

We advance, fully covered in bees, towards the hive. It is surprisingly sturdy... well, it's built of millions of tiny bricks instead of.. whatever normal beehives were built back in our previous world.

The tiny bees keep trying to sting us, but our defenses are just unfair, aren't they? well, on the plus side, at least that they miss means they aren't dying after stinging us.

After tearing down some walls, we reach the nursery room, where the queen makes her last stand, daringly swinging a tiny sword (it looks like it is made out of a rose, with little thorns near the handle, and a sharpened edge.

"H-how dare you!" ~she says in tears as she stands between us and the baby bees behind her.

She looks rather adorable with her fluffy yellow and black dress

We explain what we want to do. The queen isin't very fond of us at all, but right now, we have all the cards. If we wanted, we could hurt her or her babies with impunity, so she surrenders to our terms.

Ah, we are bullying her, aren't we? we are totally the bad guys, here. Well, it will work out to everyone's gain in the long run,

The queen calls her troops off, and they begin preparing for the trip, packing everything (which mostly means the babies and the honey).

Once everything is ready, we treestride back to our home's apple tree.

Well, since it is winter right now, it is actually to their convenience to be inside a well built, thermically insulated bee hive like the one we had prepared for them.

Also, we now have a use for all those flower drops from plant monsters on the third floor of the eastern dungeon, so we can supply them with fresh flowers even during winter.

"A-alright, t-this pleases the queen, b-but you are still a villain, y-you hear me!?" ~the queen still looks like she wants to cry

Well, her home got torn down and she basically got kidnapped together with her whole counry, didn't she?

We can only hope she comes around in time.

Alright, relationship building with the bees, then
***

We quickly build a greenhouse around their new bee hive, and begin bringing them flower drops and planting seeds in the greenhouse flower beds.

Actually, after knowing them a little, the bee drons seem to be intelligent, but unable to speak. They can laugh when tickled, tho, but they are so tiny its better not to. May hurt accidentally hurt them.

...yeah, the queen doesn't seem like the type we should grab and tickle, tho.

Then again maybe we should? Ah... she reminds us of that old manga... what was it called... cotage faeries? coed faeries...? something like that...

"...i-it's not like i'm happy that you brought me flowers, or something! even if it's winter, now!" ~ah... she's... what do you call it... tsundere? its rather cute

Well, the drones seem quite happy. I hope the flower beds start sprouting soon.

One morning, after we forgot to properly close the greenhouse's door the previous night, we found three [Good][Honey Jar] on the snow, on top of what look like the imprint of some drones... they came outside and the cold got them, didn't they?

The queen was quite sad. She had sent them out to explore, and didin't expect fresh snow to fall during the night and get them.

I think that an interesting thing would be making contracts with intelligent creatures through menagerie ends up changing them. When they first contact with us, they end up getting a 1 time access to our hidden mana pool. Thus they end up changing to a slightly more 'evolved' version of there race, with the one time charge.

We don't even know of the pool so we don't even really notice the mana being gone.

Probably why we got a dragon girl, not a dragon.

Probably why in the future the hive will appear 'different' then normal. The follower bee's will end up being more humanoid, less monsterish.

Makes me wonder, as the Dragon and Bee queen are sentient, does that mean that for the dragon she is

Race : Dragon
Class : Dragon
Job : None

So technically, could she go ahead and learn the wizard job by attending college with us?

As for a heater, greenhouses are really warm inside. If you did that, you weould cook the bees. Have you never gone into a greenhouse?

The queen makes a pouty face but says nothing, and just nods, once.

Well, rome wasn't built in a day. Meanwhile...

"Alright, the heart is still producing mana, but it probably needs sustenance of some kind. After all, it used to eat adventurers, correct?" ~says Okaba as he examines the heart

We placed the heart in its own laboratory room. Had to use a floating plate of rockit since it kept trying to grow "roots" into the walls and floors.

"Well, I am not willing to feed it adventurers" ~says Eldric
"Obviously, but we need to find some way to give it sustent" ~says Asmund

* Lets connect it to a mana reception array

Personally? probably, but I was more thinking of an small covered 'stop' for outside. An emergency shelter that is always open, heater that gives out about 20 degree C heat.

>uhmm... im gonna say yes but not while shes a menagerie creature.

Well, maybe the retainers of the bee queen end up learning craftsman one day then.

In cold climates the temperature may drop below optimum levels. You won't cook in one during the winter, but you exactly feel completely warm either.

It all depends on what you're growing at the time. In the winter a good greenhouse can get down to 50-60 degrees. Cold weather crops won't give a shit, hell they love those temperatures. But things like tomatoes, corn, and other such "hot weather" crops just won't grow very well, if at all. If you want to grow them during the winter, you'll need a heat source of some kind to bump the temp into the upper 70's-low to mid 80's range.

The best thing is actually compost. The process generates a good amount of heat if turned regularly and gives you some of the best damn fertilizer you'll ever use once finished. Put the piles inside the house and enjoy a balmy 80 degrees even in the heart of winter with zero fuel or power!

I meant a portable heater for walking around town in, because miniature fur jackets probably won't work. Think like a pokeball or bread box with seats and windows so they can at least get the lay of the city.

just hook it up to a mana generator?

Just realized the time. I promised to GM for a friend about now, so we have to stop for tonight. I will monitor the thread from time to time and comment on questions and such, tho

Also, yeah, I liked the conversation with the queen that someone typed in.

Our dragon is not shy, tho, she's just afraid of open spaces
>>
>>36573625
This sounds good.

With the caveat that we should test it first immediately outside the hive so we can take them back inside if it gets too hot or cold.
>>

I don't think the mana generator is the trick. Dungeons seem to produce mana more than eat it. It may be a matter of absorbing ambient mana and the mana of anything slain within it and using excess mana to fuel the monsters and its own growth but seeing if it actually eats things would be useful. It's also interesting to see that the heart will try and create another dungeon if placed somewhere. That means we can build a complex and place a dungeon heart there and see how the heart interacts with the environment its placed int. If we make a maze we can see how that alters the dungeon in comparison to an office building or market place or something.

* How about feeding it, you know, actual food, somehow?

Food next time, find out if it prefers a steak, or chicken. Maybe salad.

>>36573767

Interesting, help a city grow by capturing a dungeon heart and then see what happens if you throw it in like a 5 level building.

Does it rebuild to like it was prior instantly, does it turn into a 5 floor mini dungeon?

Can you use that to produce cheaply customizable foodungeons?
>>
>>36573908
Could we us the ability to change a dungeon to the point where we had a literal white collar dungeon and all the monsters were office workers? Could we make a call center dungeon?

I wouldnt call it cheap. dungeon hearts dont grow on trees

>in b4 "lets place it on a tree"
>>
>>36573767
well lets use it for the base of the flying fortress grand dad wanted, hook it up to half a dozen generators to power a few hundred thousand rockits to keep up a massive runic mithril frame work.
>>
>>36573908
You would need to go through the entire dungeon each time you want to grab the dungeon heart. That and killing all the displaced mobs may not make it as fast as devadasi work.
>>

>I wouldnt call it cheap. dungeon hearts dont grow on trees

Of course, a dungeon heart would be worth good money. Does it keep memory of it's prior levels, or does it start anew? If it starts new, at the depth of the building I imagine devadasi could cheaply customize it if needed.

>Nah, lets place IN a tree!

ive always been a bit confused about these
On means on top of, right? In means inside?
>>
>>36574188
yes. Literally implanting the dungeon heart(or maybe even two) into the trunk/stump of the tree.

Since doing so looks like you're giving the tree a "heart", it's associated with granting sentience/movement to a tree. In this case, we might just make Yggdrasil.
>>
>>36574188

In is inside it, on the interior. We open the the tree and place it as the heart.

On means placing it on the outside, exterior of the tree. On the top of the tree, we can also place it on the bard of the tree, like you could put a bag there.

We have no idea what the heart can do. It makes me wonder, can we even talk to the hear somehow.
>>
>>36574289
maybe we should connect it to a text to speech device, like the emperor
>>
>>36574351
You know if we can invite it into our party we can actually do that. We'll use Okaba's long range text to speech thing and bam thought to text device. Well if the dungeon is sapient and can join a party of course. Which would be odd to say the least.

>>
>>36574989

Yeah, medieval rag paper is pretty good actually. Cotton based paper (which is rag) is still a very high quality paper.

>>36575077
Here they just need to make it once, then craft away to make a lot more. Running out of cotton would be the biggest problem

>>34649055
>The paper of your brand new journal is yellowish and looks brittle, but looking at its magnificent leather and metal case, it is obviously a high quality item, and must have been expensive. It is heavy and solid enough that you are quite sure you can use it as a blunt weapon if need be.

The old paper sounds both very expensive and very bad.

Best bet is to make a simple press and then make cotton paper if we want to go that route. Wood pulp paper, which is more common uses a lot more nasty chemicals and needs a lot more work.

Hire some smiths to figure out the best metal combo is the best for both holding the ink and then soft enough to apply it without cutting the paper.
