Hear ye, hear ye, I call to order another meeting of the Mage Guild. On the agenda for today: the kingdom is complaining that we're the only major guild that doesn't accept sports-based scholarships. I know none of us really care about cricket or associate's football or whatever it is the kids are wasting time with these days, but it turns out there's a legal loophole that requires us to start accepting at least 1/500 apprentices in sports scholarships so that the Guild won't become a closed club, as it were.

We've already drawn up some drafts for the requirements, but does anyone have any suggestions about what we should add as a requirement to enter apprenticeship as a cricket player or whatever?
>>
>>36248266
It might appear to be in poor taste, but I vote for the establishment of a quidditch team. The rules are made up and the points don't matter, but from the looks of things it will kill off a good number of the players and discourage the rest. That way we can have the scholarships on the book but don't have to actually award it to anybody.
>>
>>36248266
I suggest battle chess scholarships.
>>
Oh ye illustious mages. I am but a simple knight errant of the Order of Interns. I have recently finished my internship with the Knights of Black and it seems that I might graduate and join them, but please, hear my troubles! It seems I need to enter a pact with one o the Mage's Guild as to be able to perform my duties. What does this pact contain, and, would one of your students be willing to?
>>
>>36248464
Basically the mage empowers you helps enchant your gear, in return you guard the mages and run quests for him. You'll need a scribe or lawmagus to write up the contract.
>>
>>36248382
Weakling. What is it, none in this guild able to do some caber tossing or running or axe throwing?
And since we are are, tell me soros, didi fryia get a new body? Have not seen her since, you know, that day.
>>
>>36248553
Battle chess is turn by turn ritualized combat Cromina with real people as the pieces. Takes tactical knowledge as well as strength, endurance and magical power to win. As far as Fryja goes the Fleshwarpers are still working on her body. The first try had far too many tentacles.
>>
>>36248596
That's hardly surprising. Please tell me again why did we allow warpers to be part of this guild anymore, they don't even do magic.
>>
Why don't we accept scholarships for "Sport Support Services" and categorize them as sports. We could, say, grant scholarships for especially good enchanters who help their team reach victory by lighting the balls on fire, or skilled Biomancers who do work as on the job healers.

The fulfills the legal loophole without requiring us to admit a bunch of jocks.
>>
Have you lot ever though of just changing the law to suit your wants instead of looking for loop holes?
>>
>>36248644
Yeah... sorry about that, when the guild opened the doors to alchemists we kind of let in a few others who tagged along.
>>
>>36248708
Have you even followed the law once in your lifetime, doc?
>>
I hear by motion for the acceptance of Illusion sports. We accept additional illusion students to create illusionary teams that compete in whatever sport they fancy at the time. We get official "sports teams", fill the loophole, and don't let a bunch of jocks in.
>>
>>36248708
Are you implying we should do a wizard lobby to put pressure on the King's council ? Ridiculous.
>>
>>36248727
When it suits me. Have you?
>>
>>36248731
So we have a fantasy football team?
>>
>>36248727
I saw him stop at a traffic policeman's whistle once.
>>
>>36248745
More or less. Fantasy to us, real to outsiders.
>>
>>36248644
Yes they do due magic. Just usually very hit and miss. Trying to build a living organism isn't easy and takes a lot of fine-tuning and guesswork. When they do get it right the results are usually terrifying and damn useful.
>>36248708
Do you want to live in magocracy stabby?
>>36248731
Between the few magical sports we have and this we should b covered.
>>
ACTUAL CRICKETS
>>
>>36248731
Well, we can just cite health and safety and have magical sports be illusions.

>>36248745
Eh, nothing wrong with a little football for those who want it. Its certainly no were near as bad as allowing rugby players to join.

Or, god forbid, muscle wizards. While quite charming, they tend to remove walls all too frequently.
>>
>>36248731
That's fucking stupid. Wizards around here are either too fat or too and weak, they should do more exercise dang it, you all saw Conspierre struggling even to it ashburn during the drow assault.
>>36248744
Obviously. Chaos is for loosers.
>>36248760
I'm not going to believe you without proves. Heck, even if you have them.
>>
>>36248767
Sure. it'd be all the easier to rule from the shadows.
>>
>>36248821
I thought you used to be of the chaotic alignment.
>>
>>36248767
Dropped nametag

>>36248857
Easier to gets slaughtered or pressed into a totalitarian regime you mean. Not all mages are easy marks especially once they get entrenched. Like that druidess who escaped you and took most of you shit.
>>
>>36248857
Wizards make commoners and ungifted people uneasy, it's hard to get by in politics in this condition.
>>
>>36248821
I agree with you, even though I don't actually have a physical form to maintain. This guild ought to remain at least somewhat healthy, we have a poor reputation as fragile and wizened.

On another note, the School of Legalistic Magecraft has accepted twenty new members! Since this is its first active year, and I am the only current teacher, we've nearly hit the cap.
>>
>>36248266
It's simple. We only accept those with an aptitude for magical sports.
>>
>>36248875
She's an Eldritch Knight. As Lawful Evil as they come.
>>
>>36248895
You have obviously now visited the Alchemists range.

In alchemy you have at least one of two things. Fast (and fit) or smart. Or else you don't last long
>>
>>36248882
>>36248821
Reporting for duty, as always.
This body feels... strange. I'm not quite used to it but it is the best I can get, probably, though... though, I'm sorry, you all. What happened last time was my fault and should have foreseen it instead of putting everyone into that kind of danger.
>>
>>36248821
I very seriously doubt we need many more muscle wizards about. Plenty of us have more important interests to be studying than strength magic.

Also that drow assault was promptly dealt with by the visiting Paladin University students who were studying light magic; or have you forgotten them constantly shouting "If only I could be so grossly incandescent!" after the fact.
>>
>>36248882
You forget that we live in a rock/paper/scissor universe. I an the scissor to your paper. also thanks for the warning. I'll be sure to add some extra mind breaking to her.
>>
>>36248942
After the attack I was to busy being the hero and being poisoned, thank you so much
>>36248930
Good to see someone remembering it, geez..
>>36248941
Here you are, Fryia. Please don't get me started, yes, you put us in danger but it is basically your daily routine here so who gives?
>>
>>36248934
Oh sure, many of us are physically fit. But the average person does not see us as such.

>>36248941
It is alright, Fryia. Your insight into the matter has been invaluable in the investigation.
>>36248953
We do not live in such an easily defined world. Each person acts not only for themselves, but as a member of the whole.
>>
>>36248895
Good for you Anfarthon. Will you be trying to get together with the other departments for real world application training or not?

>>36248941
So they got it finished? Let me take a look at you Fryja. Also don't talk like that shit happens.

>>36248953
Too late she's already gone, left as soon as she was sure you weren't around. Good thing you had a secondary loot stash.

>>36248942
We have a logbook of what happened here: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/36142315/
>>
>>36248266
Cricket?
Isn't that some sort of backwards Baseball or something?
>>36248329
Fuck Hogwarts.
>>
>>36249007
My "insight" was being the host to Jheska's soul. Why are you being so kind with me after you came to know everything, you should cast me away into the blind eternities...
>>
>>36249014
>We have a logbook

My apologies, I must have been remembering something from another time.
>>
>>36249014
>Will you be trying to get together with the other departments for real world application training or not?
Many of the students plan to be either advokists (magical lawyers, for those not aware), who will probably be working heavily with the Conspiromancers among us (we know you're there.)
The others are likely to become runecasters, general lawmagi, and so on. They'll be heavily entwined with Bureacromancy.
However, we will likely tie in to other fields as well depending on the occasion. Divination, in fact, is likely to come up during our discussions on the extent of privacy and the lawful applications of divination.
>>
>>36249014
I can assure you she is still their.

Would you like to see her?
>>
>>36248266
Why is this even a problem?
From what I know, card games are considered sports nowadays, and believe me, I'm no stranger to lining up my pockets with the money of gambling dolts. Hell, even wargaming is considered sports nowadays.
Just give me a couple students who got excellent marks in Arithmancy and Mathemagiks, and in a couple of weeks, our guild will have more gold than we might ever need AND the loophole will be filled.
>>
>>36248789
Ew, no, no crickets. They're annoying.
>>
>>36248941
>>36249046
Good to see you on your feet and with your mind intact, eh, how much do you remember of the incident?
>>
>>36249007
Well, that's because we had to move the runners range underground due to the, and i quote, 'excessive' use of explosives.

damn well show them excessive, when the north half of the city falls into the sea...

ahem.
>>
>>36249046
One she blindsided me and I had been scrutinizing her for years. Hell I hated the bitch. You loved her as your mentor. If she could fool me she could fool nearly anyone. *peers at body* Likeness is perfect, but they added a few thing they didn't need too. Might want to talk to them about that.

>>36249048
Of course.

>>36249075
Alright then I look forward to working with you.

>>36249077
Already have, that facsimile you have is pretty good though.
>>
>>36249034
Seconded, Quidditch is not that great, that staff between my legs rub me the wrong way-in every sense
>>36249046
I said stop complaining. Everything is back at normal. Kinda. Mage guild normal, that's it.
>>
>>36248942
Hm, sounds like a paladin I knew back when I was an apprentice, cheery fellow.
>>
Bah, I keep forgetting why i'm here. I need some help, I seem to have picked up this cursed Doll. I mean it's really adorable and all but I find it really annoying to have it following me everywhere.

Dr.Stabby looks around but the doll is missing.

Uh-oh
>>
>>36248266
A legal loophole you say? Does it say that the apprentices we accept need to be alive? Else we could bump up our "sport scholarship" count by accepting skeletons. I keep a couple of ones in the guild anyway for defensive purposes, might as well make use of that.
>>
>>36248941
Good to have you back Fryia.
>>
>>36249172
Yeah you might want to run to church. Like right now.

>>36249187
Living sadly, they added that in.
>>
>>36249172
Good luck with that, your going to need to hire a deamon to get rid of the blasted thing if its what i think it is
>>
>>36248821
>Chaos is for losers.
Whee re-cent taht.

>>36249172
Whee weel keep hit. Lewt ush know wheen you find Eet.
>>
>>36249134
But what if she can pull the same trick again? Every tie I go to bed I can see her smug face, smiling at me... then I fall asleep terrified that she could take over me during the night and walk around in my body doing who knows what...
>>36249091
Oh, quin, I... need to talk with you about something, later.
>>36249189
It is good to see you again too, dear.
>>
>>36249219
......Can I please do some dental work on her?
>>36249210
>>36249203
what do you think it is?
>>
>>36248266
Is dueling no longer considered a "sport"?
>>
>>36249203
I guess it's inevitable, the liches and their lawyers have exploited to many loopholes like that as of late. Well it was worth a try at least, now if you excuse me, I got an army of skeletons to arrange in neat rows in the basement.
>>
>>36249259
Ahaha.... Not allowed to say its name lest its attention be... diverted.

But the church is a good place to be going to, like, now. Send a message when your on hallowed ground and ill ship a book along. Im sure i have it somewere.
>>
>>36249225
If you want I can root around in your head to make sure. It will most assuredly not be pleasant for either one of us though. Also talk to the Enchanters about this, they are good at foiling that sort of thing.

>>36249259
High level Deamon trapped in it. It feeds on your life essence (levels) and soul. once it's imprinted on you it will never leave unless the being is about to get free from it's prison. Then it'll hunt you down eat your body and take your soul to be dealt with back home.

>>36249268
It is but most duelists are either tenured or dead these days.

>>36249287
Don't forget to run maintenance on the drow ones, they need special care after sunlight exposure.
>>
>>36249225
Here. I read that witches give people a crow feather as a 'get well gift'.
Unfortunately the books never specified what particular crow that would be so I just found that big old crow that hangs out in the upper levels and got on of his. Hope its enough.
>>
>>36249225
Oh, ok, well I'll be here for a bit longer I guess, got some new recruitment strategies to work out.
>>
>>36248266
Personally, if they pay, I say we let them in. The splendid thing about magic is that willpower is all you actually need, so the sort of people willing to claw and scrape for it despite lacking any magical background become either excellent wizards or beautiful fireballs. Did I miss anything while I was on adventuring leave?
>>
>>36249259
I don't want to know.
>>36249134
Seconded, fuck, I really hated her guts and it seems like we were damn right.
>>36249225
Now this is mostly paranoia form your side, we kill'd her for good, ashburn is gone, what could possibly go wrong?
>>
>>36249259
Wat Ees wrong wheeth hour theeth? Halsho, teh Dahl Ees poe-sesth b-eye kay-oss. Yhou shouwld geev eet to hus.
>>
I suggest we select a sport for the scholarship which makes equal use of the school's student and faculty talents, in that it is one an actual sport and two requires magically maintained equipment.

I once went to a kingdom that played this game called Boufball. I had the memories recorded on a descripto-disc by our Mesmerics expert - it's available for viewing at the library.

Oh, and the library also has a copy of the rulebook which I got from that faraway land.
>>
Greetings fellow wizards! I am back from my unexpected visit/holiday to my parents. They havent been the same since they put their brains in jars...

>>36249287
Did you receive the skeleton of poor Archibald? I sent him down before I left. Stupid kid thought he juggle the acid jugs...I swear, my students get dumber every week.
>>
>>36249341
Eh not much, some discussion about our guild attire, and i kind of got found out feeding extra dimensional hallucinogens to a fellow.

Been rather quiet really.
>>
>>36249268
Fencing is, yes.
What we do during duels isn't.
>>
>>36249342
Rings hollow with the damage she did. Our vigilance failed.
>>
>>36249333
Oh, this is... I mean, do you realize the one I gave you were a trap Jheska set up, don't you? I-I can not believe you are still wanting to be w-with me...
>>36249340
Ok, then, I-I need to go write a letter so please stay here until I'm finished.
>>
>>36249395
Well, a sporting wizard usually ends up a dead wizard.
There is no room for honour in magic if you want to stay alive.
>>
>>36249344
Dr.Stabby tenses up and the addresses you

you know what, You can have it. Enjoy.

Dr.Stabby turns around and waits for you to remove the doll that stabbing him in the back. A lot.
>>
>>36249341
Depends on how long you have been gone, I seem to recall the Prank War with the Druids was still in effect when you left though. It's not an issue any more, I finally had enough and dealt with it.

>>36249384
I think he is down there yes, and I'm getting the same feeling. I lost three apprentices last week alone, three in a WEEK!

Though to be fair, one of them died in the attack on the guild. A shame, he seemed competent.
>>
>>36249419
Yeah but who gives, no long-lasting damage, no side effects, we won, they lost. What's your point?
>>
>>36249465

I see you've found one of Elzevir's dolls. Thought we destroyed all of them years ago...
>>
>>36249465
Tahnk Yhou. Whee weel lahv heem hand caddle heem hand kahl heem George.
>>
>>36249395
>>36249449
Guile and Treachery will always overcome Youth and skill. Or so my experience has taught me.

>>36249483
Fryja's confidence is in shambles, I lost a LOt of power due to several curses that decided to rear their ugly heads. Much of the guild and it's resources were destroyed, and Ashburn is still out there. He quite likely kept a fragment of Jheska's soul as well if he played it smart.
>>
>>36249520
Dr.Stabby stabs himself in the back until the bleeding stops.
>>
>>36249432
Don't worry about it Fryia
>>
>>36249477
Oh, we're losing apprentices? I'll have to take note of that next class. The Science Lab is notoriously dangerous; ans as I'be said, my apprentices aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. You'd think they'd learn not to go into the photonic resonance chamber as its prepping for the experiment. Four of them *poof* photonized.
>>
>>36249203
Oh, I have it! The other necromancers and and I can make a team of intelligent undead, and put them up as our team. When they say that undead don't count, the intelligent undead sue for discrimination. I could even get one of them a spot as a paralegal at my new law firm. Those bastards owe me a favor after throwing my last lawyer into the deepest pit in hell.

The catch is the whole team drains life force with touch. Football championship, here we come!
>>
>>36249477
There was an attack on the guild? What sort of septuply witless madman would risk the attempt... I wasted my adventuring leave, when I could have had the same fun here?
>>
>>36249540
We are rebuilding.

The bright side of being stuck underground is its allot harder to destroy.

>>36249575
You need any more of your chemical mix again Hearsch? The boys can whip it up sharpish, the ones who cant are dead already.

Whould Yhou liek sahm heelp? Peer-haps George cahn heelp?

They explicitly ban all draining creatures in sports, ever since that vampire fiasco ten years back.

>>36249589
Jheska le tAshburn and the drow get really close and they attacked.
We kept logs. Here:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/36142315/

And here:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/36163839/

>>36249606
Still neither side gained much a lost a great deal.

>>36249639
What's this? *proceeds over to Noel and opens it*
>>
>>36249606
Have you told their families that they're dead yet? If not, I have an ongoing experiment about tutoring magically skilled intelligent undead. We could even use them for the football team.
>>
>>36249589
I missed most of it myself due to bad timing so I'm not the best person to explain what happened. However we were betrayed by one of our own who brought a drow army, the guild was in pretty bad shape when I returned, not what I would describe as "fun".
>>
Okay well now that that is solved I have a druidess to check on and maybe recapture. Oh and before I go, Just though you all should know, that one drow, J something, is no longer corporeally or Living challenged. Or tied up in my basement. so there is that.

>>36249616
George does not have a doctorate in stabupuncture.
>>
>>36249658
Well, we know what their capable of now, so we can build improvements into the thing.

Not yet, the post owl keeps getting lost. I think the last i saw it was when it tried to fly across the acid cauldron with the vapours and all.

>>36249658
What does the letter say?
>>
>>36249658
>Letter open and fold itself before starting to talk

>First of all, let me thank you. I wish to give my thanks to all of the guild for the years I'm glad to have spent with you, and especially to those of you who were at my side last meeting
>The reason I'm writing this letter is I can no more stand among you. My whole life was but a lie, the cruel experiment of the woman I deemed to be my guide; all of th fighting, cursing, teaching, laughing, crying- all was but a passage to make my body into the perfect vessel for Jheska to reincarnate. I can not fathom the dept of her villany, for such a cruel yet powerful being could have more plans going on that I can possibly imagine. She was the person I looked up as the mother I never had, yet to her I was nothing but a pawn.
>After what happened last time I can't even think of what's next. It is possibile that Jheska could reincarnate herself even by nothing but my memories of her; as such my presence here at the guild is a danger I don't want you to be exposed to.
>I hereby resign from the position of Head of the Witchcraft Faculty and nominate Quin as my successor. She is talented for a being so young and I'm sure she will become great under your guidance.
>cont
>>
>>36249740
> To Soros, Cromina, Anfarthon, Conspierre, Mortimer, Bastun, Randolph, Lurco. You did so much for me, yet I have nothing to give you as a payback for your operate that I deem to be enough. Even if your actions, and sometimes your intentions, were not always for the best, you fought bravely and assisted me in my our of need. For you, I have poured all of the memories I had from what I saw in those moment when my soul and Jheska's one shared a single body in a magical scroll, hoping it will lead you to solve this mistery and finally save this guild for sure. Also you can take everything you deem as useful from my room- I won't need it anymore.
>And finally, I don't think I have enough that could match what you did for me, Noel. Wasn't it for you I'd had been probably leave Jheska take over my mind. My Cloak of Black Feathers is yours to take, the very symbol of my power and status as Fryia the Crow and artifact of considerable power. Accept it, as you accepted me, as the first true gift I give you by my free will, and as the promise that one day, when it will look like you can't go on anymore, I will be there for you, strong enough to lift your burden. Until that day, farewell, my dearest.
>>
>>36249701
Excellent. If you'd be so kind as to let me arrange the... funeral proceedings. I'll file their contracts allowing for their remains to be used for science within the week.

>>36249658
Eh, we can add it to the lawsuit. We could go so far as to claim that it's discriminatory against exchange students from the negative plane.
>>
>>36249606

Oh no, I've decided to remove the Potassium Hydroelectric Nitrate experiments from the curriculum. Went from a room of 60 students to 13.

I guess that explains why it smells like underdark in here. A thousand apologies for failing to intervene. If there is anything myself or my apprentices can do to help repair the damage done we are, as always, at the guild's disposal.
>>
>>36249819
Do not, soros. She is not in the shape to do anything useful, not to mention she is the last tie Jheska had on this school. We will fare better without her for the moment.
>>
>>36249819

Ah, there should be no issue there! Our department is full of strapping young lads ready and willing to take a flying leap into unknown waters - organising a swim team and taking on new students who are both magically and hydrodynamically gifted should be easy as elementary elementalism! Hahah!

And I need new robes if I'm supposed to head the Wichcraft Faculty, and I could never live up to Fryia and, and, and... I need to sit down for a bit.

>>36250346
Sure. You planning to do what then, go chase your unrequited love?
>>
>>36248266
Yes yes, while promotions and demotions are all well and good the average life span of a wizard around here means there's going to be a new position soon enough anyway so lets keep this on task. Namely what of inner-school matches of whatever sport it is? Lets face it, even among fellow havens of arcane academia we're seen as unethical louts who tend to specialize in making murder art (looking at you stabby) rather than any semblance of discipline or sportsmanship.

And while I know that some colleagues are still harried by their memories of being struck by the local blacksmith when they were a child we can not allow that stigma to get in the way of stifling the potential of future mages.

I propose that we make a scholarship based on battlemages and others who mix martial prowess with their intellect to compete in sport. The new influx of students can cut down on casualties when doing field research while also teaching the rest of the students not to pigeonhole themselves into only one area of study.

By doing this we better our reputation not only among other wizarding schools but with the general populace by showing them that we're not just a group of cackling madmen held up in towers defiling the laws of the universe.
>>
>>36250258
Guild policies allow for one person to head two departments, and technically an indefinite amount. However, this is usually limited because few mages have mastered a school beyond their own to the point that they can become its head.
>>36250277
Lovely, I shall have to attend one of the meets.
>>36250360
Calm yourself, Saila. Yours is a perfectly respectable art, but it is of no benefit to anyone to have you shouting like this.

>>36250372

>>
>>36248266
Sorry I'm late boys. Had to deal with Flipper and his little tantrum.

And just to be clear, I'm totally okay with just having cricket players and other such athletes apprentice under me with no real requirements. Could use the extra muscle.
>>
>>36250379
My faculty does that yet but you know how difficult it is to make the other wizards into some kind of physical activity? I have to whip them. Both figuratively and not.

>>36250393
Ah, but after the last meeting I attended, I thought it was worth investing some time into trying out a younger body - this one's made using Aqueous Form, so I can hold it indefinitely!

I hope so! I haven't been this young in half a century!
>>
>>36250372
What if I am, Eldritch Knight? Going to stop me?
>>
>>36250428
Unfortunately yes. I find summoning a spirit of phobia tends to get their blood pumping, but this usually causes the apprentices to try burning it, or piss all over the floor. Have you tried experimenting with using minor fae such as pixies to steal from them? The fuckers are usually harmless and are cruel enough to convince your average layabout to climb through all sorts of interesting places
>>
>>36250517
Last I heard you were in, actually. shall I show you to your five offices?

>>36250458
honestly, I avoid using vat grown muscle when I can. Honestly, I find that natural grown muscle works better.

well, it depends where she ran off too.

well, I don't really make Homunculi, because that involves creating life from no life. I use already existing life to create new life. I could make you a simple flesh golem that can do those things, though you will have to provide the raw materials.

>>36250390
Oh, good, good. Hmm... I think I better get started doing my new job, the faculty should be in chaos after loosing its two best witches.

>>36250557
Eh, your just probably making it wrong, i have a few decent flesh crafter contacts who nothing but.
Like all things, the apprentice work and masters work is a entierly different thing.

Having said that, apprentice muscle growers never have the problem of it getting up and breaking out of the vat.
>>
>>36250547
Oh for fuck's sake, it's that damn assistant of mine stealing my mail again. Well, I suppose at least I'll have no shortage of workshop space

>>36250518
Yes! There will always be others afraid of this, and this is not a bad thing. But to actively seek it out of spite is not only petty, but goes against what it means to be a wizard, in our perpetual thirst for knowledge. Now am I saying that we should stifle our experiments or ourselves? Absolutely not! But it's hard to make progress when the next generations keeps being turned into abominations.

You do not enjoy the benefits of mineral-enriched water, my friend. We can fix that.

>>36250650
No no no. I need living flesh, like actual living beings. An apprentice and dog will work fine for what I usually make to handle paperwork.

>>36250690
Well of course using homonculi for implanted bombs is the smarter thing to do, since you obviously aren't planning to keep them around. My creations are made to last for quite a long time.

>>36250706

>>
>>36250732
Apologies for wasting your time then. I'm not quite lazy enough to endager my brother's paladin candidacy just to better avoid paperwork.

>>36250683
Care to explain? Worst case scenario jheska ends up in fryia's body, doing all of jack shit after jack left town but NOT here, and this is what fryia wanted. We should look for jheska, not Fryia.
>>36250773
Want to put that rage to something useful? We need to track Jheska. If we find her before she find fryia, we win.
>>
>>36250734
So you make water... and then run it through rocks... and then you transfer it to the hot tub.

Also, why do we have a hot tub? Surely the cooling pond for high-energy thaumatics would suffice.

You don't cast Fireball into the water? That's how I make hot water for my bath, actually...

I remember it used to be a fairly popular club sport where I'm from, using specifically nonlethal force spells for offense and an array of defensive or terrain altering spells. Good duelists were treated like rockstars at school, and usually accrued an array of honor-scars to show off like fencers did.

Got a scholarship for it before channeling spells through wooden swords was expressly banned by Royal edict. Can't remember when, though. It feels like it was so long ago now.

Without much research into the nature of abyssal pressure and thaumatic sinking, no-one in this guild - or on this continent - would have such a clear view of what lies towards the bottom of the very deepest trenches. And when I say "view", I mean that figuratively - the light from anything is sucked away down there, so an abyssal adept would have to "feel" their way around using Extended Aqueous Form.

That, and we developed Fontaine's High-Pressure Water Beam and Instant Flood. Lots of industrial and agricultural uses, those. Good profit for the guild over the years.

>>36251070
Erm. How best do we control these things? I could just wash the campus out.

Perhaps we can get the paralegals to get that revoked, or at the very least have a third party inspect the enchantments to determine whether they're legal or not? If we were to do this we would could have a sport that would actually bring in potential cataphracts as well as reduce collateral damage caused by personal spats by quite a bit.

Former Head of Oriental Magik was killed by Fire, it seems.
He usually was talking about the Fire Whore. He say she was incarnation of evil flame Dhjinni. I take it she is you? You dress like he described.

I know not. He was old fool. He was iet man but too devout. He did not understand other cultures.

You dress like whore, you get raped, is your problem.
I not care. I come here for study, for exchange, for learning and teaching.
Your culture, your values.

Near East? We have many camels, giant poisonous scorpions, and flying snakes. Also ghul's, cursed humans who died but were corrupted by demons.
Spirits like Dhijni are part of material world, they represent elements like Ocean, Sand, Rock, Flame.

What you want to know? I am from Near East, I do not know much from further East, like Central and the Far Easts.

>>36251326
To us Al-Maji from the Near East, it is so. You reveal much skin, much arousal in men.
You see, our folk hate-love women. We hate women that dress for everyone to see, because we want that woman to just reveal to us. They teach it is sin but they all love it when a woman does tease it all for all, it is just they think and know it is wrong in their mind. And since Western woman is dressed like that all time but not to invite sex all time, they build tension and stress.
Yet you must believe me, Old Master wanted to spend many nights with you.
When I look at you, I agree. You are most beautiful woman, you must know.

No need, Soros. They have been defeated. Cromina has acted in the interests of all despite her own state, a truly benevolent act!

>>36251469
HA. me, raped? Son, let me tell you, anything trying to rape me is in for a bad time, because they will end up as my next experiment after I get my kicks. Now, Noel, on the other hand, I'm not so sure how well she would do.

But back to the point at hand, I am looking to get my hands on exotic species that I have not had a lot of chances of working with. I've seen a few from the east come back this way through trappers, but I need a more steady supply of live creatures. In particular, creatures that have supernatural or magical abilities, though you can leave out spirits and elementals. I don't really work with that kind of life.

>>36251756

>>36251836
>>36251870
Waiting for Jheska to come back would be a mistake unless you like high body counts on the part of your allies.
>>
>>36251781
Do we have a clean ibrik? I do brew coffee, but Mortimer is usually far better at it.
>>
>>36251911
Then what, head out to fall in her obvious trap?
>>
>>36251870
That was a rhetorical question you ninny! Of course I'm going.
>>
>>36251911
At least I was perfectly aware of what I was doing and just didn't care. I'm sure Noel cares a lot more that we all know if she shaved recently.
>>
>>36251756
Werbert, Herbert, or whatever hes using now is quite the character. He came to the guild thirty years, or so, ago to learn science magic. At the time I was investigating - for the seventh time - reanimation. He seemed like a good student and he didnt die...But he became obsessed with the reanimation research. I concluded it was a deadend, but he didnt want it to end.
After we found him reanimation so dead specimens we banished him from the guild.
You say the wards are damaged? Probably how he managed to get in...oh no, that means anyone we'be banished can return!
>>
>>36251954
But, if we know it is a trap, is it *truly* trapping us?
I believe we need proactive measures, not reactive ones. We must find Jheska and stop er before any more crimes can be committed.
>>
So to fund Antruthius portrait tapestry and vacation to the Fae we have make budget cuts, it wouldn't be so bad if we didn't need to start a new course for the sports students.

The botomline is that each staff member needs to take up 169,1 hours class a week.
>>

A pyromancer with sentimental issues, a dishonored lawmagus, an apprentice, an old geezer who never seems to be as powerful as he claims to be, a summoner with illusions of god-killing grandeur and a medic. Fuck me, I mean, we are going to totally win it if Jheska and Ashburn come a-knockin'.

>>
>>36252235
Actually Percival I was hoping you would act as supstitute during the health & safety class for Reo Orlius while he teaches the new sports students.
Also I am gonna have cut your water budget this trimester.

Supstitute? So I would have to go up? We prefer to be submersed, y'know

And since when have I had a water budget? We try to self-source in our department.
>>
>>36252307
Hey, I take pride in being a master in both alchemy and flesh warping. I never had an affinity for actually casting spells, so I decided to just focus on my alchemy and my flesh warping, which has worked just fine for me. What I lack in actual spell casting, I make up for with potions and superior strength.

8:00-9:00: Advanced Conjuration, Journeyman Conjuration, Medium Conjuration. Also since Friya cant teach Witchcraft, someone will have to take up that and her "additional" classes.
Wait are you a student or a teacher?
>>
>>36252328
The apprentice is sam, idiot. You are a delusional old creep, at best.
>>
>>36252282
Well, my staff has some charges of "Greater Deluge of Skeletons" left on it...
That has got to count for something
>>
>>36252328
I'm the apprentice, Percy. Calm down.

>>36252282
I'm new here so I can't claim to know just how bad the situation is - it sounds really fucking bad though, if the sliver thing was just nothing.

Point is, there's a bunch of us, and 2 of them. I'm not saying it's going to be easy, or even viable, but any advantage we have is one we have to use and abuse. Fighting fair is for idiots who don't know better, so if we need to fight dirty, we fight dirty.

...That aside, what got rid of the two of them last time? Probably won't work again but it at least gives us some frame of refernce.
>>
>>36252282
Cromina, let me find them first. If you have any doubts about my ability to bring the pain try and fight me when im not getting my powers sealed by numerous wards and spelltraps.
>>
>>36252166
My crosslaced kneeboats and thighhighs are a frightening combination, can't tell you how many men I turned away. Besides, what do you know, you always walk around wearing denim jeans all the time.
>>
>>36252282
Do NOT call me a mere summoner! I have slain hosts of demons! A single pretender god is not any match for me. Also, y'know, under modern scientific definitions summoning is the school of gates and wards, while conjuration is making things, especially projectiles, out of magic, though I'm stuck teaching both thanks to crustly luddites such as your good self.

we have a Janitor!
>>
I brought coffee... And see that I missed most of the meeting. Some please fill me in?
>>
>>36252436
And you! I am growing tired of the reeking disease left over from your spilled experiments! Tell your students to clean up after themselves!
>>
>>36252420
Delusional old creep? I keep myself to myself during these meetings, talk about my work honestly without stumbling into the overblown gloats of the other attendees, and I still get flak from random gobshites I'd never heard of. It's not suitable at my age!
>>
>>36252494
Fryja ran away due to lack of confidence and Dr. Stabby revived Jheska who then grabbed Fryja and ran. We had a sliver infestation nad Cromina is insulting us because we want to find and free Fryja before the bad things I foresee happen actually happen.
*grabs some coffee*
>>
>>36252494
We are fucked. Figuratively, at least.
>>36252506
Let's see you swallow your pride when the motherfucking ashburn, the man who could overthrow this guild alone, comes at the door.
>>
>>36249964
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbP9GgiYyPo
>>
>>36252537
Of fucking course. Let me go grab Marco and Polo, I shall I see what I can find
>>
>>36252542
WHAT'S AN ASHBURN?!
>>
>>36252369
Since we got new students
>>36252404
Also, the nurse got eaten and resurrected so we need someone to take her duties as well as feeding the Orks (the orks are medpacks) and there are some Alchemy courses that need students and teachers - I was hoping you could act both.
>>
>>36252409
If I said student, would you stop asking me to do paperwork? Your people asked me this six times since I got back.
>>36252494
Well, "Slivers" attacked. I still think that fossil looked like clay. Apparently everyone is dead and Friya left? And we might be retrieving her? except for the part where we all hate eachother and can't agree on anything?
>>
>>36252562
Shut up you piece of shit. <Lash of gelding>

>>36252566
Trying to get a bead on them now..... Got them.

>>36252573
Noel's old asshole master that got exiled for being a massive evil dick.

>3625
>>
>>36252537
You did not mentioned the fact I got rid of those slivers with but a single spell.
>>36252573
Oh boy. Let Soros or Noel fill you in on this.
>>
>>36252542
Aren't we always
>>36252562
Damnit Stabby
>>36252580
So nothing new then?
>>
>>36252537
The University is infested by jesuits >>36251993
>>
>>36252502
Calm down. Don't act like you have never seen a little EyeballExplosionVirus before.
Once it kills you it is perfectly harmless and will not hurt you any further...
>>
>>36252598
Don't forget perverted.
>>
>>36252578
I suppose those conditions are rather acceptable, but if you don't mind I'd rather place an excellent student of mine in charge of sports.
>>
>>36252542
Jake'ness could overthrow the guild alone. Ashburn had extensive help and failed, no?
>>
>>36252282
Im afraid all i can provide is additional firepower and...well, student meatshields. Since they all have their own experimemts they provide the weapons. And Stavros has assured me his tesla cannon is stable...
I could fashion some form of transdimensional flux device that could throw em to another plane...or perhaps utilise positive and negative energies for some kind of..of...of null-space container? Ill need some time to think about it...
>>
>>36252578
But the students use the communal springs in the hydromancy department. And I sourced those springs!
>>36252598
>>36252602
>>36252623
That... that actually sounds somewhat familiar. Would we have met?
>>
>>36252097
Oh don't complain, he practically had a harem of students that he would manipulate, you just wanted an excuse to wear what you did.
>>
>>36252598
Dr.Stabby parries the lash.
>>
>>36252436
Actually we took those, hard times.
>>36252614
Ah, but surely thou are of the queer love for men genitalia up thee ass!
>>
>>36252580
People are dead? How is this a problem?
Do we still have most of their bodies left?
If so i have skeletons with icecream scoops and soulcages standing by for reviving them
>>
>>36252542
Wrong Ashburn I could solo with a hand tied behind my back. Jake'ness was the threat. Ashburn is a abd joke who won't die.
>>36252671
Likely yes.
>>36252684
*Lash touches Dr.stabby's parry and he feels something missing* All it takes is one hit. And stabbing won't fix it.
>>
>>36252654
I got Marco, Polo, and my trusty coffe pot to contribute
>>
>>36252683
I did NOT! He tricked me into thinking it was appropriate mage wear!
>>
>>36252699
"people are dead?" was regarding the invasion we had while I was on leave. I may have made erroneous assumptions, but I tend to expect wizard fights to be lethal.
>>
>>36252623
>>36252598
I honestly forget why we decided to kick him out, as far as I remember, me and him got along just fine...
>>
>>36252722
Dr.Stabby checks his pants
Huh, and people call me evil. Also Stabing fixes EVERYTHING.
Dr. Stabby stabs himself in the groin.
>>
>>36252282
I cannot believe I missed this egregious insult! How dare you refer to me as a mere medic? My talents at healing have deadly, destructive potential!
>>
>>36252695
Listen here you oriental jew, either I get myself a new Broom of Greater Geomancy or your office loses its plumbing.
>>
>>36252789
Not this again
>>
I have a lock and scry on them. I can warp us close enough but I don't want to trip their wards early. WE'll have to walk the rest of the way.

>>36252783
You forgot the time he roofied you and threw you to that orc tribe? Took you a week to come to your senses.

>>36252789
*Dr.Stabby is now an unbreasted female*
>>
>>36252795
Uh, Janitor, is there something you want to tell us?
>>
>>36252654
Well, if we're throwing our hats in for a fictional war, my older undergraduates are advanced enough to hold their very molecules together in aqueous, even gaseous form, and our pressure studies have yielded hydrokinesis capable of capping buildings in a spin. Me, I'm more for the standard waves, but a lot of water can be a little distracting.

>>36252775
Well, it was. For the slivers.
>>
>a crow made entirely out of paper dives in, landing on >>36252759 Noel's shoulder, before starting to talk in Fryia's voice.

Hello my dearest, how is it going? I'm sorry I left in a hurry, seems like I was confused to say the least, truly, you shall hate me... Why don't you come over here where I am, I'm sure I can make you forgive me for being so rude... just let me know, this crow will guide you to me...
>>
>>36252831
We can alway fly on Polo, or would a Tarrasque with wings be a bit obvious?
>>
>>36252881
Gee, I wonder...
>>
>>36252831
Stabupuncture does not work like that. If you wish I could lend you a book on it.
>>
>>36252831
Oh yeah. I had to replace a lot of parts because of that. Although it wasn't all bad, I did get a good amount of orcs to use. Bastards let their guard down since I didn't fight back at the start. If they were still alive, I'm sure they would regret doing that.
>>
>>36252409
I can help pick up the slack for now, but I can't devote all my time to this. As I've got secret societies to root out and all that jazz

>>36252623
Pot calling the kettle black, no? I remember when you got an apprentice to go on about her panties and needing to know for "reasons"
>>36252671
He was pretty much par for the course and was your typical old coot. The only difference is he logged more hours of dickishness then the rest of us so he got tossed
>>
>>36252775
See. Nobody tells me these things..
I spend most of my time in the crypts of the clinic in town carving out still beating hearts of my patoents and replace them woth effegies of the outer realm and when i finaly get some time off i learn that you people had a wizard invasion and did not even bother to invite me
>>
>>36252947
Who is this
>>
>>36252877
Obvious trap
>>36252881
Need to cloak it first.
>>36252908
Read the book, used it to find a way around and make sure you couldn't fix it. Maybe without one you'll be wiser.
>>36252928
Yeah he was bragging about how he took you every way first and how you were so unworthy of him he gave you to the orcs for a copper piece.
>>36252947
More hours than the rest of us combined. He out did me in 3 years.
>>
>>36252947
Sounds like a rather more bastardly version of me, really.
>>
>>36252989
Then let's do it! Also be gone for a bit got to eat
>>
>>36252989
Now it's coming back to me. Didn't I knock him out afterward and give him a micropenis and tons of Magic-STDS?
>>
>>36252947
I caught her crossdressing.
>>36252989
I know its a trap. That's why I'm going to spring it.
>>
>>36252989
Woah, how much intelligence and wisdom does it need to spot traps like that? Because I totally did not see it coming. Dumbass. And keep the volume low, maybe she thinks we do not know yet-
>>
>>36253034
Yup, he fixed it but took him a few years.
>>
>>36253043
Trap within a trap duh. She knows we know. hell she know we now she know we know.

>>36253039
*hands her something* This will help.
>>
>>36253034
Wait, Ashburn was exiled and nobody informed me? He came to me for treatment and seemed normal, I thought he was on leave.
>>
>>36253074
Ohw . Headache. Ok, you got me on this one, what do?
>>36253039

Name's Malcolm. I'm in charge with dealing and dishing the subterfuge needed to make sure the Mage Guild doesn't collapse, and one of the few people around here who can still do shit when an anti-magic field pops up. You may not remember me as I actually have self-discipline and don't go blowing things up all willy-nilly.

Now give me some of that coffee.
>>
>>36252989
Dr.stabby raises an eyebrow before he sighs and takes a few pictures with his cell phone.
On an unrelated note, Soros's get a text message.
>>
>>36253039
>crow's "feathers" rustling
It's there something that bothers you, my dearest? Hurry up and come to meet me!
>>
>>36253127
Never had a cell phone, sorry.

Now just waiting for Mortimer then we can begin.
>>
>>36253168
You do now. You should probably get that.
>>
>>36253140
It's easy enough to mimic a voice like that, and seeing as this is obviously a lure, Soros should be able to find where it leads. >>36253168
How about it? Think you could find who/what it is if you got some blood?
>>
>>36253074
I'm sure it will.
>>36253140
I will honey, don't worry.
>>
>>36253219
Sadly that's not mimicking. I mean, the voice is Fryia's. Fryia's body, at least. And whe do know who is behind the fucking scene, i'm afraid. Now keep the fucking volume low.
>>
>>36253195
Why their anachronisms here and lead to bad luck. Hel you ditched all that stuff you'd be much luckier.

>>36253219
Jheska's doing duh, or Ashburn's either or at this point.

>>36253230
Don't open it til the play is made. You'll know what I mean.
>>
>>36253284
Luck is for people with out skill and time travel.
>>
>>36253284
Understood.
>>
>>36253230
Then come, my dearest, and lower the wards around the hall so that I can teleport me in... then we shall be together again...
>>
>>36253101
Ah, it is nice to meet a fellow being who can operate inside an anti-magic field. Here you go sir.
>>36253168

>>36252759
Seems old habits die hard then?
I kid, I kid...

>>36253230
I...I know we've not exactly seen eye to eye but...lemme come with. A second set of hands can't hurt, right?
>>
>>36253322
*Dr. Stabby stubs his toe and has his coin purse disintegrate for no discernable reason* I warned you. Creation hates people doing shit like that.

>>36253347
On our way then Mortimer come
>>
>>36253360
All righty then.
>>
>>36253358
I would really like that Sam.
I'd even let you wear pants to this, hahaha- but seriously thanks.
>>
>>36253271
>cone of silence
Alright happy? Now if this is a case of bodysnatching I can do it right back but I'd rather not as once there's more than two or three souls things start to get...explodey. I can follow inside Noel's Shadow and once open combat begins we go standard artillary in the back and warders in the front. Can you fight after getting rid of those Splinters?
>>
Low-lying chair, high-stacked table. Sometimes my suggestions are brilliant.

I'll be watching the show.

>>36253101
Malcolm, how would you fancy becoming the new Janitor?
>>
>>36253360
>>36253336
Soros! Stop messing around! If we lower the ward she will teleport so many drows in, we will start drow-ning (ah-ah) in a black sea with pointy ears!
>>
>>36253360
......Is Soros okay? He keeps saying things in a funny accent, almost like he's trying to, though sheer force of will, become a narrator.
>>
>>36253400
I'm always cleaning up everyone's messes anyway, might as well get more income for it anyway
>>
>>36253412
Drowning, huh?

>>36253412
Don't need to take down the wards to leave Cromina. Also it's better they know we aren't here.

>>36253415
Enjoy your bad luck dude. Learned not fighting that crap the hard way.
>>
>>36253412

>>
>>36253412
That would solve the water shortage
>>
>>36253467
.....Again, luck is for people who lack skill and time travel.

>>
>>36253521

>>
*Warps with Mortimer and those accompanying to an undisclosed location, wards are still up*
>>
>>36253521
>>36253454
Actually if insta-flood is as good as percy says, we could flood the place and rain down some lightning
>>
>>36253521
We cannot
>>
>>36253444
Look on the bright side, at least you don't have to fill out every single piece of paperwork
>>36253521
I'm talking about the pun Cromina
>>
>>36253494
Well come out, I can't very well have a heartfelt discussion with my lover when she's in crow form.
That would just be weird.
>>
Dr.Stabby resists the sudden urge to disable the wards, no matter how funny it would be.
>>
>>36253623
Stabby, if you do it, I shall never make those nice little sandwiches for you again
>>
>>36253589
Oh, yes. What flavour would you like? Ankle deep? Waist deep? Cleaning the cobwebs? Spurting out the top of the clocktower?

I haven't done "making the building soar off the ground by jet power for a hundred feet" for a while.
>>
>>36253552
I will be lackadistical in my duty and abuse the equipment to further my own agendas. Now if you'll excuse me it seems we're about to get into a bit of a scuffle

This crow is only a messenger, my dearest... turn the wards down, I beg you, so that I can teleport in the hall... won't you do it for me?

>>36253651
Do what? I have not done...... Dammit Boy I told you to stay out of my head! do you want to have the sanity blasted from your mind?

Noel, would you mind filling in as a teacher for Journeyman Hydromancy this afternoon an grade some papers?

>>
>>36253656
Lets do it at thigh level, so if they have any armor they're hindered, and we can quickly move if need be.

Lets just do a redirection spell and send her into a circle of binding. >>36253708
Lupa, get some of those explosive homunculi you were talking aboutand have them ready.
>>
>>36253698
What? Surely we don't need a substitute for the journeymen. Where's Jerome?
>>
>>36253718
I believe Jake'ness took him out when he left for the Northern Wastes. His apprentice is trying to learn from his notes now so he can take his place, and it's not going great.

>>36253737
I don't have explosive homunculi. I only make things that I intend to keep for a long time. I do have my pets in the other room, however, waiting for me to whistle and summon them.
>>
>>36253708
You know what, I'm with you, let's bite. Next time I nearly got myself killed, so what could possibily go wrong now?
>>
Would anyone tell the lawmagi that I am sorry that I slept with his succubus and would do chronomagik to take that back?
Also please tell him that we need to know if Gold is legal to conjure.
>>
>>36253737
Thigh level's doable. Let me whip that up for standby - one minute.

Ooh, I could jellify it, too. Easy to walk on if you're already here, nigh-on difficult to get out of if you were to, say, pop back into existence on the spot.
>>
>>36253698
What the hell am I suppose to teach them, Hydromancy is like the very antithesis of Pyromancy
>>
>>36253752
Also I need you to act leader during the Pyromancers field trip to Central Near East
>>
>>36253860
Well, I suppose it's wise to send a fireman to babysit a group of little arsonists.

Can do. You'll probably feel a strange bouncing sensation as you walk around over the next few minutes as the room fills up a little, but don't worry - you won't fall into the gel unless you jump up and down really hard.

Wait, I missed our resident dishonered lawmagi? Damn it, I was looking forward to annoying him

What? I lowered though things about an hour ago....

Everything was going just fine, we had just won another case against the Sun Church earning us quite the amount of souls to put in the Schools coffers. Somehow I got that lass into my bed but the next morning it turned out that she was the resudent Lamagis girl! She told me she was single!
So now the guy won't talk to me and we are getting knee deep in drow lawsuits!

Given the recent events that former faculty facilitated when there's someone asking to "take all the wards down" instead of going through the front door, there tends to be some dubiousness to be had.
>>
>>36254380
Do you teleport from one door to another, maybe?
>>36254367
This is so kind of you, as expected... just to know, did you put the ward on yet?
>>
>>36254315
>>36254367
Angry isn't the right word for it. We...well, Noel at least, was kinda distraught. We didn't really know what to think.

So are you over the whole martyr complex thing?
>>
>>36254451
Be assured, I had a complete change of heart about it. You could say I'm no more the Fryia I used to be only two days ago...
>>
>>36254483
I would very much like to hear the source of this change of heart, Fryia.
>>
>>36254451
Samantha! I know you are only a student but I need you to act substitute teacher tomorrow, can you do it?
>>
>>36254483
Oh does that mean you's really that drow chick?"
>>
>>36254451
Wait, did you ever fill out all that paper work I gave you?
>>
>>36254522
>>36254534
W-what is this pathetic little man implying, my dearest? And you too... you do sound a whole lot suspicious. I was worried that you could no more trust me but even then, this hurts me, noel...
>>
>>36254544
Hey mortimer, are you busy tomorrow? It would be great if you could stand in for a lesson or two.
>>
>>36254611
Well, I belive I sheduled tomorrow to be my time off, so yes, I'm busy.
>>
>>36254607
I'm just curious. You know how curious I can be Fryia.
>>
>>36254668

You didn't think I was so pathetic last night, Jheska!
Dramatic music plays
Oh sorry got to take this
Dr.Stabby answers a call on his cellphone
>>
*Warps back in missing an arms and bloody. I have a man in my other hand* Well I found and took down Ashburn, the real one. Fryja wasn't-
>>36254607
Of course you're hear already. I'm just going to toss him in a null field.
>>36254697
Considering Divination is my department he isn't need for that class. There are only 200 lawmagus students so I doubt Anfarthon will need help with that either. You're mixing of departments is going to get you canned you do realize that?*Walks to the prison*
>>
>>36254697
Sorry, but nope. I have errands to run, got to tend to my petunias, and it's time for Marcos monthly checkup
>>
>>36254766
And jelly! No, wait.
>>
>>36254692
Too much for your well being, I guess. Whatever, I was starting to get bored with this. Fryia didn't have any personality at all, it is only natural I fin it boring to behave as her.
Greetings, young Noel, how are you? Before you try even to move, let me get at this straight- Fryia mind is not gone, not at all, but I can destroy the last shard of her beaten mind with a mere thought. This said I am not here to fight. I just want you to listen to me
>>36254766
Ah, soros, again we meet. It is never a pleasure.
>>
>>36254697
I thought I was going to be teaching master witchcraft since Freiya decided to run away?
>>
>>36254766
Dr.Stabby Stabs Soros's in the stump where his arm was. When he pulls the knife out a new arm is pulled out with it.
>>
>>36254766
*pops back*
you see, following Soros has been a good idea after all, I swear it was even funnier than the-
>>36254825
-fuck. Did you drop the act yet?
>>
>>36254766
Soros this is me trying to fill in as many manhours as inhumanly possible! We are terribly understaffed.
You on the other hand are supposed to train the Diviantionists for their exams the entire day making it a Master Dinination 9-17. Yet still I would like to ask you to cover Fryias Journeyman Witchcraft class 8am and Percival Cobbs Hydromancy class at 18:00 (Percival is going on a field trip).
>>
>>36254872
Yeah they dropped the act. Now they're dishing out threats that quite frankly I believe we should ignore and press on but I have a feeling everyone will fall to anyway.
>>
>>36254840
Quin has been appointed Head of Witchcraft. Not that it matters now that >>36254825
>>
>>36254840
YOU ARE! But there will be dinner at 5pm and it will require some cleaning, also by 5.30 i would ask you to help Samantha with her paperwork.
>>
>>36254825
Whatever Jheska.*tosses Ashburn into the cell and locks it* What do you want this time? Kinda tired here.

>>36254861
Wish you'd let me fix it without scarring up my wards don't want to go crazy around here.

>>36254872
She has.

>>36254877
You do realize my department was on a field trip when the attack happened? My fellow divining teachers can still teach.
>>
See? This is what I mean when I say the other shoe! Every single time. Can just have one day where we stay on topic?!
>>
>>36254945
This plane is in a time of trouble, so I doubt it.
>>
>>36254920
Assuming they are allright with working without pay then fine, but at the moment we only have enough funds to pay the headmasters and leaders of their respective fields.
This is a special cunundrum with the Necromancy school because their Heads continue to live after they die.
>>
>>36254825
Ah, there's always something.
>>
>>36254920
Eh. You did it, after all. I swear it is a relief to see Ashburn's body beaten and broken, I'd say. Well done, I never liked his smug face every time he gave me orders he Knew I abhorred.
Down to the brass tacks now, and please do not worry for I don't want to cause any trouble. I'd just like the help of this guild on some rather entertaining questions, And I feel like keeping Fryia's body and mind as well as an assurance none of you will try to harm me.
>>
>>36254919
I'll whip up a squad of shadow simulacrum to do the handiwork.
>>36254945
Believe me, you're preaching to the choir. The shit pyromancers put us through....
>>36254945
Speaking of which, is that oldman Ashburn?
>>
>>36254825
Speak then.
>>
>>36255036
You can not pull the same shit twice, ya know? What is stopping us to stop you again, you are rather boring, you know?
>>
>>36255067
Are you serious? Look I liked Fryia as much as the next guy but any fragment left of her is a vegetable, trapped inside. I say we cut their bloody head off and wash our hands of this mess.
>>
>>36254990
You forgot the emergency we got attacked clause contract we had with he kingdom didn't you? They'll be paying us triple pay on contracts for the next 4 years and business has been booming.

>>36255036
Headache rising and control of the various curses I have been afflicted with failing. Please get to the point.

>>36255041
Yes he put a hell of a fight and had a lot of help, still got him though.
>>
>>36255036
I hope you realise that it was exceedingly rude to schedule your little crime while I was on leave. Also, you're leaking mind affecting magic all over the place. Pretty sure whatever spell you're using on Friya is older than you are, and spells aren't exactly like fine wines...
>>
This new body really doesn't suit you. are you sure you don't want an elven body instead?
>>
>>36255175
Stop trying to shag the sociopath Stabby. Besides I can make that gelding permanent if you don't stop being chaotic stupid.
>>
>>36255085
That's so typical of you, child, you don't understand until someone explain. The way Fryia's body was last meeting, I could not use it, for her will was too strogng. Now she is just the sobbing, pathetic husk of what she used to be- entwined to my essence without possibility to escape.
>>36255067
>>36255116
I shall speak them ,tee hee... let's say I found something you want, and it is the other half of the recommissioning spell I wrote on Conspierre book, and you need it since Jake'ness is coming to whip your sorry ass in, say, a couple of months, starting today.
Oh, but if you put me back on the place that is mine to rule, on top of the underdark, I cuold just give it to you. So say, you genocide drow, duergar and the like until they accept me as their queen, and then I give you the spell to save you all. That, and Fryia, of course.
>>
>>36255116
That solves the money issue once we get some contracts running.
>>36255041
I could kiss you Malcolm

Would anyone like to do something about the Sun Churchs lawsuit? The trial is some kind of elvish thing where it is a reality spectacle and our lawmagi are getting butchered as a team. I don't speak Elf so I can't even read the filed complaint.
>>
>>36255222
So you want us to slaughter the denizens of the underdark to get your old position back?
Jheska, you could've just asked, I probably would've burned a path straight to whatever capital you drow call home for free, but then again, that's Drow in a nutshell, always troublesome.
>>
>>36255198
1. Please do not tell me what to do.
2. No you can't but I think it'd be really funny to see you try, so please have at it.
3. Alinements are bullshit and do not exist. and besides if I was anything, I'd be true neutral.
>>
>>36255294
We would have not. Too many diplomatic issues, and this comes from one that likes genocide over everything else. We can't just go and attack without a casus belli-
-fuck. Clever, Jheska, This is clever. Chapeu, bitch.
>>
>>36255236
Hand them this Laurel and say "Eithash attana" Should make a big jump in the case.

>>36255222
One why should we trust you? Two how can we be sure she's still in there? Three How could you be queen if Lolth still hates your guts? Four After the damage we did tot he drow you could do it yourself given some time, we really hurt them after all. Five we're in no shape to go on a crusade. Six Jake'ness would kill you as well on principle. Seventh and last but not least, You mean this spell right here? *holds a book* Ashburn was looking over your back the entire time via spell. His paranoia pays dividends for us. So what's the bargain now?
>>
Remember when we had nothing to worry about other than mini-pizzas?

I'm starting to lose track of all these names. A younger body doesn't help the mind too much, I tell you.
>>
>>36255294
Hold on, Noel.
>>36255222
Now see here. We have a certain obligations to the school and by extension, the faculty. As a show of goodwill you will release your host and as well as any piece of her soul. If we are to put you on the throne, we shall do so using our own methods, be they genocide or otherwise. Upon completion of this task you will then deliver the spell by proxy to a location we decide upon.

While there are some here who care for Friya, we aren't going to risk the entire guild for one person.
>>
Someone should archive this if it's going to be a persistent story.
>>
>>36255396
You are not that smart, even if you always brag about it. But powerful, yes,the guild is powerful, enough to stop even lolth and force her to do your bidding. You know nothing of the armies the drow can muster- the one that attacked here was nothing but a raid party I engineered to give you an excuse to retaliate, as Cromina said. And you can kill Jake'ness- yes, it is possible, but with the painfully wrong notes ashburn took on my work, what do you wish to achieve?
But I don't want you to take this decision all of a sudden... I can wait for you to decide. You can't wait that much, though, not with Jake'ness coming.
>>
>>36255540
someone archived the previous 2 trheads yet, so it is likely to become one
>>
>>36255222
While your bluster is impressive, your struggling for control too badly to wield basic grammar correctly, much less soul crushing magic.
>>
>>36255616
Drow accent, maybe?
>>
>>36255562
The Drow are many things, proud, arrogant ,haughty, cruel, evil, malicious and hedonistic. But they aren't stupid they'd never follow a weak goddess. So you are directly contradicting yourself there Jheska. As far as the notes for Ashburn being wrong, well you know how I fought Jake'ness and he got several hits on me? That new spell cleared the aftermath of those hits right up. Ergo either he was more competent at stealth than you believed or he fixed some of you equation.
>>
and I'm back from my feeding my pets, what did I miss?
>>
>>36255742
Jheska is trying to get us to commit regicide even though we could just as easily kill her through the meatsuit she's in/
>>
>>36255562
What is it with you people? Always with the dramatic speeches, the bigger fish around the corner... I'm actually starting to miss the rambunctuous blowhards that populated the guild and campus in my youth. There was never any naysaying, just one brag after another - and they never stretched the truth too far, either.

Cedric killing a gigantic, ravenous baloth with a single fireball. Persimmon and his incredible light-bending spells that could make a mansion disappear, either by making it invisible or incinerating it by the atom. The time I overfilled a tarrasque's stomach with water and it exploded... well, it survived, of course, but I got out of there.

And now we've got politics to deal with. Bloody wonderful.
>>
>>36255712
>The Drow are many things, proud, arrogant ,haughty, cruel, evil, malicious and hedonistic
I love flattery, thank you Soros. Do what you consider to be the best while I take my leave from this place- just think about Fryia sometimes. It would be rude of you to forget abut her.
>>36255792
Yes it is, but I dare you to try to destroy Fryia and then either survive the fight with Noel or kill her.
>>
>>36255847
Yeah leaving isn't an option I had Mortimer flip the planeshift switch when I saw you here. You stuck in here with the rest of us.
>>
>>36255847
Is that a challenge I hear? I relish the thought!
>>
>>36255847
Or I could always jump in there myself. It either kills the three of us and we shed this mortal coil, but are free or me and Friya team up and expunge you before that happens.
>>
>>36255919
>flip the planeshift switch
Well then, because I'm leaving trough the main entrance. Good night.
>>36255954
I'm afraid Fryia's broken mind is no more able of anything that is not weeping and sobbing incoherently. A shame really, after all the teachings I gave her.
>>
>>36255996
Gel.

Harden.
>>
>>36255996
Yeah what entrance? On our own demiplane at the moment. Also <Trap the soul :Target Fryja> Seriously you for got this?
>>
>>36255827
Forcing us to interact with politics is literally the purpose of the guild. Sad but true. It would be nice to hear more about the old guild, though. If we ignore the problem at hand it should solve itself.
>>36255662
Well it covers "strogng" but not the ommission of entire words.
>>
>>36256037
Do you really thought it would work again, soros? Pityful. Also
>>36256010
>greater dispel magic
see, it is not that hard.
>>36256048
or it could be it is fuckin3.26 and I'm a bit tired
>>
>>36256088
Notice how I had no gem to actually hold the soul. Just gave the girl a wake up slap as it were. The guild is on lockdown though. Even I couldn't get out if I wanted too.
>>
>>36256037
>>36256010
>>36255919
>>36255954
>>36256010

Let her go.
Wait, do not kill me, I'm not with that crazy fucker but let her go. She will come back eventually, she's too much of a self-centered bitch to think we will not accept. Then, we she will come back, we will have prepared something to fuck her so hard it will rip her a new orifice.
>>36256088
Choke on that smug grin, bitch.
>>
>>36255792
Wait so she need someone pushing up dasies? And she didn't come to me? Jheska, why didn't you tell me? I'm the best at K wording people.
>>
>>36256088
Well, great. Now we're all covered in water.

Suits me fine, but I understand that it bogs down all them not-used-to-water types.

Ah, well. I can clean up the water. But your feet are going to be squishing all the way home.

Bloody nuisances.
