>What is this?

Saiyan Story is a series of Choose Your Own Adventure threads in which you play the part of a Saiyan Warrior.

>Stats (Frank)

Power Level: 45,000,000

Health: Deceased

Ki: 100%?

>Stats (Bardock)

Power Level: 42,000,000

Health: Excellent

Ki: 100%

>Recap

After your main protagonist, Frank passed away, his family and friends waited anxiously to revive him with the Dragonballs. Bardock spent some time comforting his family and friends before going on a date with his longtime friend, Onia. He soonafter travelled to Huhn-tresh's world, where he forged a ki enhanced sword. He then met a young warrior there who grudgingly agreed to train him in using it. Meanwhile, Frank found out he had earned the right to go to heaven, only to visit the world of the Grand Kai in search of challenging opponents. Finding none there, he travelled to hell, encountering many old foes. He also came across some allies, and a massive battle took place. After fierce fighting, Frank and his allies were victorious. He spoke with them for a time before departing.

After leaving your comrades behind, you use your amazingly unfair Instant Transmission power to travel to the planet of the Grand Kai, ending up in front of the mansion once again. The door is closed, and nobody seems to be around. In the woods, you can hear the sounds of battle. You could go train there, though you're much stronger than anyone on this world. You notice the car keys are still in the ignition as well. You could easily take the car for a joyride. Or, you could go into the mansion; who the hell could stop you?

You decide to go and check out the mansion. Leaving the car and the sounds of battle behind, you approach the massive building. Hiking up the stairs, you come to the large doors that serve as an entrance. You knock, but receive no answer. You could easily break down the door. Then again, maybe they just didn't hear you or haven't made it to the door yet. You could knock again, or leave.

You decide to try peaking in the windows. Yeah, that won't look suspicious. You look through the windows at the ground floor first, but see nothing. Well, that's not really true, you see that whoever owns this place has a lot of stuff; multiple plasma screen TVs, poll tables, arcade games, a hot tub, and a petting zoo, all in one room. But, no sign of whoever lives there.

You check the upper floors next, finding a waterslide serving as the staircase to the ground floor. Much of the upper floor is covered by tracks, along which move small carts. You catch glimpses of slashing lights from some of the rooms, but again find no sign of anybody.

"Hey, buddy, what are you doing up there?" asks a voice behind you.

Turning you see a familiar face; Bardock.

So, I was thinking.
Since the afterlife isn't really in another dimension and is actually a place in the universe, couldn't we just IT back home while still dead?
>>
>>30506002
Technically, but the problem would be that if you die outside afterlife, your soul won't reform.
>>

If there's any semblance of oversight in the afterlife, there are probably immutable rules of the universe to overcome or special permission to obtain before a soul can cross over into the living world.

You decide to head for the training pit, the most logical place at which to train.

You lead Onia through the quiet village. The guards throw some questioning looks her way but leave her alone upon seeing you, or, more specifically, your sword. Onia is rather quiet as the two of you walk, looking around the village intently.

As you approach the pit, you begin to her the sounds of a blade slashing through something. Coming to the edge, you look down and see Sorwo-ahn savagely attacking training dummies with her two blades. She cuts the poor things to tattered pieces before lowering her weapons and glancing up at you.

"So, you came early," she says, and you think you hear a small tone of approval in her voice. "And who have you brought with you? You wear similar armor. Is she one of your people? Your mate, perhaps?"

Sorwo-ahn nods before turning her attention to you. "Since you are here early, we can begin early. Ready your sword, we shall start with the basics."

Your instructor looks down at you in disappointment. "No! What was that? You should know a blade like yours can slice through a simple stone with no problems at all. You flat out avoided an attack when it wasn't necessary, and in doing so left yourself exposed to another attack. You should have sliced through the rock with your blade, or just let it hit you since you knew that wouldn't hurt either."

"Good, but where this an actual battle, there would be no "future lessons". You only get one chance on the battlefield, make it count," she tells you, stepping back and turning around.

You rise to your feet as she turns to face you once again. She drops her swords and raises her right hand, firing a barrage of energy blasts at you. Some go towards your head, others towards your arms, others towards your legs, and so on.

You dodge the blasts, but not in the way your instructor expects.

"Yes," you tell her, attempting what she did.

The problem is, you know what she did, but how she did it, you're not really sure. You try several different methods. First, you simply try to move very fast so that you're in your new spot when the afterimage's low energy becomes noticeable. This doesn't work, as your teacher is easily able to follow your movements. You then try flaring your energy and using Instant Transmission. This actually seems to work, but your image fades extremely quickly.

"Allow me to explain," your teacher tells you. "My method is rather difficult. In a sense, you split yourself apart. You move your consciousness to your new spot while leaving your body behind, then bring your body with you when you've reached the proper space. This keeps your power in your original spot for as long as possible, and the residual energy takes longer to fade."

You do as she says, struggling to remove your consciousness from your body. You picture the area behind Onia...but what you're doing would just end up like Instant Transmission. You focus, trying to move without moving your body. After several minutes of intense strain, you begin to walk while leaving your body behind, moving around behind Onia. Then, with a strong mental tug, you call your body to you. It obeys your pull, seeming to almost form around the area where your consciousness now hangs. As it does, you feel the energy in the spot where your body had been begin to drop. But, before it does, your true body is in your new location. You tap Onia on the shoulder as your afterimage slowly fades away.

Onia jumps, spins, and fires a massive two handed energy blast into your face. This does no damage, but does knock you back and send you sliding for several yards across the ground. You rise to your feet, finding Onia in front of you, blushing in embarrassment.

"Nicely done," Sorwo-ahn says from behind you, before you even notice her energy moving there.

>Congratulations! You have learned Mental Movement! Keep in mind that without training, its range will be rather limited

Not too great in a fight sure. But if we learn to do that we can give Onion a kiss on both cheeks at the same time. And... a promise of other things.

"Yeah, it was a fairly nice shot to the face, wasn't it?" you ask jokingly.

"Well, now you know not to sneak up on me like that," Onia tells you.

"So, how many of the people here can use techniques like that? Is it unusual?" you ask.

Sorwo-ah smirks. "I invented it myself. You and I are the only two who can do it."

"Awesome, now, let me try something different," you tell her.

She raises an eyebrow, but says nothing, nodding for you to proceed.

Focusing, you try a technique similar to your mental movement. However, rather than simply moving your consciousness from your body, you split it four ways. You scream in unbearable agony as your psyche and body are ripped into pieces. Blackness surrounds you, and oblivion closes in. Then, everything starts to repair itself, and you find yourself able to see again. And, more importantly, you find yourself staring at three other yous.

"What the hell?" Onia asks.

"Interesting," your instructor comments.

And pray that SOMNIUS doesn't decide to fuck with us about them not thinking EXACTLY WHAT WE ARE THINKING. Seriously SOM, don't do it. Unless sufficient time has passed and individuals have experienced new and separate experiences they are the same person and will continue to think exactly the same.

"This is awesome!" the four of you shout in unison. "The question is, which one of us is the father?"

The four of you high five one another, then for some reason decide to punch each other in the face. Finally, your instructor hits each of you from behind, which for some reason hurts. You crash into the other yous and meld back into one.

"So, I can now split myself into four," you sum up. "My mind is racing at the applications."

"I don't know if I like where this is going," Onia comments.

"This would be really useful for dad," you say.

"Oh, okay, that isn't so bad, I was worried that-" Onia starts before you interrupt her.

"Sparring will be much more interesting from now on," you comment. "Dates too, maybe."

"And there it is. Don't get any cute ideas," Onia warns.
