Hello again! We had such fun last night, and I promised a return, did I not? And earlier in the evening so I can spend more than an hour writing!

Let's get this started, shall we? Here's the rundown:

Name: Aisha Ligrev
Race: Demon
Sex: Female

Class: Mage/Musician
Occupation: Student

Location: Mage's College Tower, Music Classroom

Situation:
After having just finished today's lesson on enchanting your music, the instructor has asked to speak with you. Could it have anything to do with the stranger you saw before?

And on that note, I'll jump straight into the choices!

>Turn and face the instructor per her request
>Ignore the instructor and continue going

Those were decided by players in the last thread, spudasaur.
Though OP really should have linked the archive.

I don't know of the archive's location. Had a feeling I should've done. I'm still pretty new to this, don't know all the syste-

Dammit, my brother turned on my alarm clock again to go off at midnight.

You skip to a halt and turn around on your heels. You face your instructor with a curious tilt of the head to feign innocence, and remove any visual cues of any knowledge you may have on the matter.

"Aisha," she starts, "I know you saw the man this morning." she gives you a look you can't quite discern the intent of, then continues.

"He was from the University Arcanum in Vaen Ossus. He was looking for the most talented mages in this College. We told him of you, and was highly interested." he tears up as any woman who'd seen an individual grow from a child to a young adult would upon a potential departure. A nearly motherly reaction you didn't think her possible of.

A) Run and give your instructor a hug

In a flood of emotion spawned from the realisation that your instructor really did care, you set down your violin and run back across the classroom and embrace her in an affectionate hug. She sniffs and returns it, then grasps you by the shoulders and moves you out of your mutual personal space. She looks you in the eyes with a smile and finished her explanation.

"Thank you, Aisha. I needed that," she wipes her moist cheek on her sleeve, "The representative of the University Arcanum asked me to give you this." she reaches into her other sleeve and produres an envelope. The paper is embellished with flourishing art and sealed with wax stamped with the University's crest.

Seeing your confusion as to what this is, she confirms the idea racing through your mind.

"Yes. It's an invitation to transfer and study there. You can become a great mage, and surpass even my skill level if you study there. You'll be leaving everything behind, though." she chokes on the last word, then waves you off before she has another emotional moment.

You turn away and grab your violin before you go back through the halls to your room. You set the violin down at the door and flop onto your bed. The prospect of studying at the University is amazing, astonishing... kind of scary. You wonder if great power is worth leaving everyone. They'd certainly be proud of you (though you have to admit the closest friend you have is your instructor. Everyone else kind of comes and goes out of your social circle).

After a long time, actually a few hours of deliberation, you decide to

You nod to yourself. Going to the University would be best. Should you say goodbye to anyone? You think not, nobody's that close to you and the instructor already knows. You hold up the hand that holds the still-sealed letter and open it up, pull out the parchment within, unfold it, and read it.

"Dear Ms. Ligrev,

It has been noted by the Archmage of the University Arcanum that you posses great talent for Audimancy, or Music Magic. As such, he politely requests that you transfer your enrollment from the Mage College of Vaen Magus to the University in Vaen Ossus.

Rest assured all measures will be taken to ensure your facilitatino between the two schools, but if you feel that you cannot attend the Archmage will understand and take no offense. Should you, however, decide to agree to the transfer, a carriage will await you at ground level at ten o'clock in the evening. Please do not be late, tardiness is considered rejection of the offer.

Respectfully,
Salar Quintus
Messenger for the Archmage and Instructor of Fire Magic"

You close the note, then move to the curtains. It's barely sunset. You nod, check the magical clock to the right of the window to ensure the time. Half past six. You nod and get to packing...

...Which takes longer than you expected! Between girlish things like deciding which outfits to take, to figuring out if you should take your silver dagger, you finish at almost ten! You quickly look to your two favourite instruments.

>Take the Lyre and run!
>Take the Violin and run!
>Take the Lyre and calmly make your way down.

You sling your violin, grab your case, and dash out the door! You take the steps two or three at a time, then hop to the steeper, fast-lane set of stairs. You continue to take multiple stairs at once, and start to lose your balance! You struggle to keep your weight to a safe way, but fall on your rump. You stand again, and resume your mad scramble to get to the ground level doorway, and manage to make it there without falling again! You bust out the door and se the carriage right there, and a man waiting and staring at a pocket clock.

"Cutting it close, aren't you Ms. Ligrev?" he says. You mouth to retort but instead place your belongings in the carriage and take a seat. Once inside, you straigten your travel robes and cloak, and refasten your silver dagger and its belt to your waist. That was quite the dash. He enters next, and clicks his teeth. The carriage begins to move, accompanied by the clip-clop of hooves. You're on your way.

"You may rest. I am sure you are tired, and the road is long."

Do you sleep?

Doesn't look like I'm getting any more votes. I'll just get on with it.

You succumb to the dreams that always fill the borders of your mind. You fall deeply asleep nearly instantly.

The darkness around you shimmers, and the world is shown around you from the carriage to the world around it. Only it is different. The world is encased in its true wildness. The magics around you are plainly visible and the chaotic nature of the nearby magic school makes itself known to you once again. You're in the Spirit World, the Demonic Plane. A place either the brave, the foolish, or the demons and dead go. You could visit it willingly in the day, but you prefer sleep to bring you here than willingly venture.

You sit up, but not physically, and look out the window. The further you go from the College, the more peaceful yet untamed the world becomes. You see a few spirit beasts roaming the light woodland around the carriage, and duck back into the carriage before they notice you. Spirit beasts are drawn to those who don't permanently live in the Plane -- even demons themselves. Even if they mean no ill-intent, having your physical body too close to them can lead to... complications. There's a reason non-demons try not to enter the Plane. For you, it's as natural as breathing and you've learned a few tricks to avoiding possession. You don't want to have to deal with them, though. Hour pass, and you sit boredly next to your resting physical body. Then you hear whispers on the wind. You're surely far from the magical rift caused by the College, and you don't feel anything amiss, so you peer out of the window.

You see a wisp. A shimmering ball of flame that transitions between green, blue, and violet as wildly as any flame. Its one jewel-like eye watches you and you hear whispers in your head, beckoning you to follow. Wisps have always been important factors in peoples' lives, either for better or worse. A wisp can either lead you to your destiny or to certain death.

In the physical plane, wisps often manifest as mice, rabbits, squirrels, small creatures. On rare ocassion they'll be a shimmering ball of light -- as close to their original body as they can manifest within the limits of physicality.

You slide out of the carriage and walk to the wisp. It blinks at you and flies away. You follow. You find yourself nearly enthralled by its mystic fire, and soon it's led you deep into the woods, and your only way to find your way back is the internal compass that draws your spirit to your body. You are led to a clearing, where a great winged demon lies. You find yourself hesitant, but the nagging voice of the wisp insists.

"So you have come." it says. You find youself speechless and immobile.

"Very good. You are brave and true as any demon. I have a gift for you, Aisha." he says, his massive stature making you feel tinier than an ant. He reaches a hand over you, and you're suddenly bathed in black fire. It doesn't burn, it's actually pleasant. Cool, and refreshing. Then a burst of red penetrates the black and pierces through you. The pain is searing and conflicts with the cooling black. You body goes rigid with the anguish and your voice reaches an inaudible pitch. You fall to the ground panting when the onslaught is over, and you're once again bathed in back. The demon is yet reclined in a chair he manifested.

"You have been gifted with a demon's true form. Use it when you need... or when you feel like it." he cackles in a way, then disappears. The wisp stares at you.

You look at your hands. They went from dainty, feminine fingers to clawed hands with plate-like scales. Still feminine, but more dangerous looking. As you follow up your ars, your clothing has disappeared and scales move up your contours. Your shoulders are unarmoured, but covered by a cloak that parts in the middle, halfway down its length. Both arms are scaled in such a fashion, and across your chest the natural armour protects your modesty along with somee fabric to match your cloak. Down your legs, a divided shirt wraps from one side to the other, and leaves the front open. Your lower regions are also protected by this natural armour, and your legs are in tightly wapped... well, it feels like leather but is as sensitive as your own skin. Just below your knees, the fabric is harder and creates heeled boots, the heels of which end in wicked spikes. You feel more powerful. The wisp nears you, and wills you to return to your body. You nod and runs back. The wisp follows, and you return to your body as the dawn breaks the dark night.

You awaken slowly, and find that a gerbil has tucked itself beneath your robes. You open your eyes to reveal it, and it wakes as well and stretches, and looks at you with eyes that blaze with colour like the wisp. You nod in understanding. It looks like you've made a friend. You pick it up and it scurries onto your shoulder.

The man looks to you.

"That creature entered the carriage at dawn. when I tried to remove it, I felt paralyzed. I don't suppose you know where it came from?" he inquires.

You nod to the man, and sit up. The gerbil maintains perfect balance using its big, poofy tail.

"This is my familiar. I just found it recently, and I guess it likes gerbils." you say smoothly. It's true, though not enough to raise suspicion. The man lets out a low grunt of acknowledgement and draws back the curtain. The sunlight burns your eyes, which have both shifted to red after your... "awakening", but they adjust in their time. Your complexion has also becoem more fleshy and less ashen, but darkened just slighlty in tone so you no longer look like the walknig dead. The man hasn't commented, but you're sure he's noticed.

Beyond the curtain lies the proud, ivory spires that make up the University Arcanum. They crown the highest mountain of Vaen Ossus and look to me linked together by subterranean buildings. At the base of the mountain, another ivory pillar rises up with a massive gate than can be seen from here. Sprawling aroudn the gate are tents, likely fromvarious parties trying to get something from or give something, or someone, to the University. Clouds roll in and obscure the proud spires of the University, showing just how high the mountain truly goes. You gulp. You didn't expect it to be this beautiful... or imposing. You look down from the clouded spire and see the Sea of Souls past the mountain. Nobody truly knows the Sea's name's origin, but nobody dares sail a ship in it. You hear an extra set of hooves, and a man in mage robes peers in the window riding upon a horse back.
[...]

[...]
"You there, you're finally awake!" he says, and you look over to him.

"It's about time! We've been waiting since you entered the protective barrier of the University to talk to you. I suppose it's a bit late to say, but welcome to Vaen Ossus and the University Arcanum!" he says in a singsong voice, before "Hyaah"-ing and riding his galloping horse to the University, likely to announce your arrival. You turn to the man, who simply smiles and nods.

When your carriage finally reaches the doorstep of the University, you sling your violin case and grab your case of essentials and step out of the carriage. Your senses are first assailed by noise. Merchants, traders, knights, soldiers, and parents trying to pawn their magically talented children to the university are all vying for attention and their voices wreak havoc with your sense of hearing. Next is your vision. You look away from the tents just to be faced with the massive structure of the University's entrance hall. To focus on it, you have to cover your ears and drown out the noise of the people. A touch guides you along to the gate. Its massive stone doors swing open, revealing a breathtaking sight.

The entrance hall of the niversity is lined on both sides with marble statues of previous Archmages, and the support columns reach all the way to the ceiling which is etched into a myriad of fillgree stone patterns that the light shines through. The entire stonework of the area is atched and carves, delicately yet powerfully designed in a way that makes the University's importance well known to any who should see the inside. It's all so much, you...

I think you might be pushing things along a tad quick, dude. Giving us a mid-season upgrade in the second thread? Probably not the greatest idea.
