Notes on Rolls and Voting:

When I request rolls, each set of three rolls counts for one action. For example, a two-step plan would take the first 6 linked rolls. A particularly bad failure can stop your plans early.

When rolling 1d100, I will consider criticals within the first ten linked rolls. Only criticals that occur in the first three rolls will be counted as "supercrits". This is still the case even if you'd have plan long enough to require more than ten rolls.

When I roll 1d20, the rules are the same, but I only consider criticals for the first five rolls, rather than ten. Criticals in the first three are still "supercrits".

When a plot choice results in extensive debate, I'll try to weed out the most popular trains of thought, and then call a vote on them. When voting, please respond with only a link back to the post and the number corresponding to your opinion. Other votes are discounted.

Finally, note that this is not a democracy; it is a benevolent dictatorship.

Recent Events Summary:

You were stuck on Xile, the ancient kingdom of Aeolus surrounded by the core of the world-spanning Skysever spell. You have defeated Lucifer and recovered the staff of winds - only to learn that it was a fake.

A woman named Melody - apparently a powerful shadow mage - intentionally beat Fang to the staff. She took it, then taunted the archmage, telling him if he wanted the staff, he'd have to take it from her.

Meanwhile, you managed to locate a still-functioning airship - the Cirrus, a 'Grand Carrier' class vessel that dwarfs anything you've seen before. In a tumultuous rush of events that followed, you completed the moonsong - only to learn that it was itself one of your lost shards. You used Humanity and it transformed from Blade, to Hammer. The battle to subdue the shard, however, virtually severed a huge piece of Xile off from the main island, and you and your allies were forced to immediately retreat to the airship before it could fly into the barrier and be chewed to pieces.

You rushed to the engine room, and using your collected knowledge of dynamos, were able to reginite the housing that lay dormant in the Cirrus's main engine. However, with the skysever already attacking in full force and a hundred thousand tons of rock and steel falling down on top of you, restoring power wasn't enough.

You pushed a new power into ship - Artifact - and fundamentally changed it. The skysever was completely repelled, and to avoid the rubble, Auriel punched the ship straight through the outer barrier around Xile.

In a moment of relative peace, you consider your next move - namely, recovering your friend Adavan. The lich was killed in the same cyclone that took Abigail's left hand, and should be recovering at his phylactery.

oments pass. The grey barrier goes on. It did take you a while to get through before...stands to reason that exiting would take as long. At least the airship has no trouble with it.

"Shadow," Flint says. His face has lost the brief shine of amusement.

<...what is it?>

"...Adavan," Flint says. "Do you know where his phylactery is?"

<...I can guess,> you say.

"The keep back at Jacob's Field?"

<Probably.>

"Kan-Abar was occupying that area," Flint says. "It's going to be a literal slice of hell. If Adavan revives there, and they sense it..."

<...that isn't good.>

Auriel taps the console. "Theoretically, we could fly straight there. But...if he's still under cover, we'll blow it. If he was discovered, it's too late anyway, and we shouldn't risk it."

<Auriel. If there's a chance he needs our help - >

"Look, if that's where he revived," Auriel says, "and, considering what we know, that's the only logical place - one of two things happened. Either he's sitting there, undetected, waiting for a chance to slip away...or the demons got to him first. And he's a clever bastard, but if a demon lord found him...he's dead. And everything he knows, they know. So if that was going to happen, he'd probably end take his own life. I would."

<We can't just assume he's dead.>

"No," Auriel says. "I hope he's still kicking, too. Even if he was..." She shakes her head. "What happened back then doesn't matter anymore. The point is, if he's alive, and we fly there, we telegraph his location to anything that can so much as make a candle flicker with magic."

There have been great images posted before. If we're going by canon, specifically, well, it's tough to find a young, hard-working farmer who also has dark energy seeping up around him.

--------------
--------------

<Shadow,> a voice says. It takes you a moment to realize it's Abigail speaking - telepathically. Privately. <...I've been thinking. About something that was there...do you remember something I said, a long time ago? About the nice lady?>

<...I do.>

<Did Adavan mention anything to you about that? I feel like there's some kind of connection there.>

You think on Auriel's words, and Abigail's. If Hecate is under Adavan's prison, and you telegraphed its location to the demons...you can't imagine the consequences.

But if you don't, who knows what could happen to your friend? But then...his dedication to his goddess was never even a question. He might already be dead. Or, he could be quietly waiting, sitting under the radar.

What do you do?

>return to Haven, we need to regroup. Construct a mana pool on-site and teleport to the entrance of Hecate's tomb.
>fly directly to Jacob's Field, Adavan is worth the risk. There's no time to lose.

The core of the sky-sever (xile, which we just left) is directly over the Great Forest, in which Haven lies.

The mana pool won't take forever. You're quite close to Haven; farther away from Archon, but not incredibly far.

Airships are the fastest means of transport in the setting, aside from characters that can fly at extreme speeds using magic, but they are a small handful.

Teleportation takes so much preparation that it's not practical on a large scale.

>It's time
Hello again anons. I'm that random anon before that talked about simulating battles similar to Kan-Abar's situation and I've hit a pretty huge bump.
The bump is that we don't win. Or "win" in any good meaningful sense. Here's the wallotext that lead me to think why that is exactly...

The fact that Lucy is gone or simply not answering Sandy's calls likely telegraphs indirect threats in the great forest area directly to Sandelephon/The Empire of Light, with that even if he doesn't know that Haven is there he can make the assumption that someone sufficiently powerful enough to counter Lucifer (say, Auriel & Co) is in the Great Forest and also come to sound mind that the Great Forest WOULD be the perfect place to hide a bunch of mage-rebels. He's made some paranoid gaps in logic to justify smaller things (our capture from Fang) so I wouldn't put it behind him to add the element of the automatons to our little rebellions forces. He only needs to justify a Great Forest sweep to the other angels, and that's the real major issue because they probably wont say no.

It also feels reasonable to think that Sandy could easily just refrain from major support in the planned Alliance with the excuse of recovery from our "assault"/freedom of the slave mages, and let the rest of the Alliance take the brunt of the Kan-Abar force to weaken them in the face of his empire. He can agree to the terms in name, but when it comes to the fight he can simply choose to be reserved with the distribution of forces- as a direct detriment to our allies that are everyone but him. He could get away with this easily and there isn't much we can do to stop it directly, even bringing it up would have Sandy bark lovable light-empire hypocrisy at us as the ones responsible for their reserved use of soldiers.

consensus achieved, flying to Haven to make a mana pool
>>
>>27504742
It's also very ingenious of Auriel to provide us with the small strike force plan by creating a united front of allies and then slipping in the actual threat stealthily- But it's something that will come at a huge cost to our allies on the front lines providing the distraction. Based on how they took Kelvere the Kanian forces and leaders are cautious and duplicitous enough to deal with overbearing forces for a time, and what we have is a plan that has a very small window of success for us that needs to be fleshed out more as it's not sufficient to counter all the possible stops the Kanians could dish out.

But then whoever actually controls the Kan-Abar armies -Kullia, by implicit foreshadowing- is smart enough to outmaneuver Duke Vellik with brute force tactics and patient enough to capture Kelvere with minimal losses -as summoned losses aren't equivalent to the Dukes loss of mages- means that she would be minimally intelligent enough to counter Auriels small strike force idea with a very large amount of personnel guarding her and her tool husband summoner, which is just common sense. So this means stealth is probably the best idea for us/our group, but our group must be the most select, most hardy, and most experienced. Abigail won't be safe coming with us to Kan-Abar; yet she is the expert on summoning and would doubtlessly be useful.

There was also some flavor text in the duel between Obis and the Blackwater Babe that showed some interesting dynamics on how Kanians fight, and it also seemed to reflect their fluidity in warfare with the Duke. It makes me just paranoid enough to think that Kullia is probably smart enough to try doing the exact same thing, counter the large force with her own armies and strike with small forces in other areas, speeding a specific and dangerous demon lord far behind enemy lines where they're not directly opposed, or worse.
(2/5)
>>
>>27504766
Or she could sue for peace and just stall while her hubby conduit-summons more Demon Lords. The main problem is the Kanians currently have too many options to be able to deal with our Alliance, and their leader has enough patience and power to out-vellik Vellik. Meaning any Alliance not sufficiently defensible is trash and that it would only take one side to "hold back" for it to fall apart at the flanks when the fight comes to a head. (e.g. Sandy, or ANYONE equally paranoid enough to dislike their armies becoming sacrifices)

There are also larger problems with how the allied forces would be organized and communicating information that might stall large cooperative actions, even if we "ally" these people against the Kanians to distract Kullia's main forces they aren't strictly speaking "Allies," as the relationships and tensions between the Empire(&Arland)/Atlantis/Archon/GreatFores-tans won't be solved in any permanent sense even with the dangers of demon lords being faced down.

The problems with the recovery period of Kan-Abar and the Alliance are another thing that weakens our position. War costs for all sides involved and because most "sides" are allies we want to keep it means our overall position is weakened if the battle drags on too long and causes great amounts of destruction for all forces. In essence, if either our Alliance or the Kanians fully "win" the battle before we've defeated the source of the Demon Lords then we've lost the game of the big picture.

There's also the fact that Obis would be a replanted king, that means very terrible problems for him and his country, namely the recovery period and transfer of power and how he deals with it on personal and political levels. That's mostly his concern excepting the instance of the Light-Empire instigators that planted Kullia in Kan-Abar and how they may try to take advantage of the new king by different and less obvious means.
(3/5)
>>
>>27504742
>The fact that Lucy is gone or simply not answering Sandy's calls likely telegraphs indirect threats in the great forest area directly to Sandelephon/The Empire of Light,
You mean like the death island known as Xile that Lucifer went to to retrieve the Staff of Winds?
>>
Incoming negativity. As the setting hasn't shown that it's people are idealistic enough to want zero compensation for war, The Kan-Abar people will be seen as responsible for the demon lord wars and the desire for restitution on Kan-Abars part will likely weaken Obis's power.

But there's a greater negative side affect of that and it's that Obis won't be able to bring the forces of Kan-Abar to bare for our needs- the world will just see it as Kan-Abar trying to make war again for what they've lost, and Obis would be hoisted as a sacrificial lamb by the empire of light to prevent another Kanian conflict- as they were willing to install a manipulating dictator in Kan-Abar in the first place.

And then there's the issue that Obis is still blindly in love with Kullia Nesteral, the grand noblewomen from the Empire of Light who is the source of his conflicts with Nulis ~who isn't suspicious at all and won't take her best chance to kill or use him with honeyed words if we let her get the chance.~

Bringing up again the fact that the Ring City (by Velliks word) orchaestrated the events via Kullia to get all of these peoples allied under the Empire of light. So it isn't something that we can wait on for much longer, as Sandy will be scrambling to initiate that plan if Vellik wasn't Vellisizing us.

Also keep in mind that the Alliance hasn't even been formed yet, and organizing and building up armies for cooperative warfare with good methods of communication and external chains of command for all these different people are going to take some time because fighting against a single enemy with four allies makes the war more complicated and difficult when you have more forces at your disposal. And having more power doesn't guarantee victory if the enemy changes the game. And if (biiig if) the Alliance gets formed the way we envision it, expect some overconfident allies who think superior forces means an ensured victory and expect the Kanians to take advantage of that.
(4/5)
>>
>>27504808
So, in conclusion, what I'm saying is that Fire Lord Nesteral is the best waifu and we should serve her breakfast-on-throne every day of the week while we NTR Nulis & Obis simultaneously.

Or better yet, MAX STEALTH for as much as we can as QUICKLY as we can without being distracted by petty things once the major battle commences, as the kind of victory we need to achieve has wound up becoming one of the more difficult kinds. We need to take down Kullia&Co swiftly enough to preserve the majority of the Kanian soldiery and mages so Obis actually has an army and country along with little losses on the Alliances side and so our temporary political/military Allies don't seek gratuitous compensation from Kan-Abar, all without letting Sandy sneak up on Haven with burning hot angel D in search of Lucy.

So now we're fighting a myriad of battles on a total of six different fronts and we can't be everywhere at once.
And I just can't see how to do that with so little information on Kan-Abars motivations/Nesterals motivations for warfare.

But, eh, I guess we can just trust the dice to go along with the extremely risky plan Auriel has presented us and everything will work out just fine. Juuust fiiine. Just. Fine.

Keep in mind this is all ASSUMING that the Black Lady won't take initiative against those defending the wall while all the southern nations are against Kan-Abar. An assumption that I'm unsure of moving forward with, as it's also what ties up a lot of Archons forces and Yi Fangs support.
And, well, shit. There's also US that is a problem, what with temerity taking our bros away. We're going to have to undergo another inner battle to solve that if we want those bonuses again- and it would probably be best to sort that out BEFORE going into Kan-Abar.
And of course thir is ther is the fact that this is all subject to immediate fucking change the moment we get hit with a status update on the Kanian forces.
(end rant)

<I don't want to run it,> you say. You glance at Ila. <I trust others with that. But it's my responsibility to make sure you've got the ability to defend yourselves. And, more immediately, I can use the mana pool as a bridge to reach the mana pool under Jacob's Field.>

"You can do that?" Flint asks.

<I think so.>

Flint smiles. "Every time I turn around you pull something else out of your bag of tricks. I'm glad you're on our side."

<...me too, Flint.>

-WHUMPH-

Suddenly, the airship clears the barrier. Blue skies drift before you, free, clear. You feel a final, relaxing sense of relief.

"RuuURRRAAAAAGGGHHH!!!"

A huge shape flies in front of you. The flap of giant wings sends a wave of green energy toward the front of the ship. It's the dragon!

The wind magic slams into the windows - and then dissipates. No. The spell is actually sucked into the ink-black iron that now coats the ship. The cockpit rocks forward.

"Whoa!" Auriel taps a few keys, then fixes her grip on the control. "We got a power spike from that. Shadow, what the hell did you do?"

<Are you saying that the ship absorbed that magic?>

"I think so!"

"Amazing," Ila says.

"Incoming!" Auriel shouts.

The dragon's tail slams into the front of the ship. The craft rocks heavily. The giant lizard levels itself in front of the windows, keeping pace with its wings, staring at you through the viewport with a giant, angry eye.

"Shit!" Auriel slaps the console. "We can't lead it back to Haven. I have no idea how the weapons on this thing work - I don't even know if it has any."

<No weapons?!>

"It's a carrier, not a fighter!"

<Then what do we do?>

She jerks her hand upward. "Get out there and slap it off!"

A spike of darkness flares. Everyone glances back outside. The dragon's head jerks back, towards the direction of the new, rapidly approaching magic.

It doesn't react quickly enough. A dark, twisting mass pierces the dragon's neck. The severed head doesn't even have time to make a surprised expression before it tumbles down into the forest.

The body begins to fall - but the mass grabs it, pins it to the cockpit window. And then it roils over it like a dark cloud in a very familiar manner, consuming the body. It eats the creature to the last scale, working down the ripped neck, and then from the inside out.

>con't
>>
"Light save us," Flint says. "Shadow, what is that?!"

<More of me, I think.>

The darkness finishes its work, and then you feel its gaze turn toward you. It examines the airship, then flies upward, landing on the top of the craft.

Auriel glances back at you. "I'm not sure if it can get in here. We might be able to shake it. But I doubt it."

<...I'll handle this. Auriel, open a hatch to the top deck. Everyone else stay here.>

Auriel nods. "Climb up to the top of the dome. I'll be able to tell when you're there." She jabs a finger at an internal map of the airship. Blinking dots mark each individual on the inside. You inspect it for a moment, finding the stairwell that will lead you up.

You exit the bridge and head down the main hall, taking a quick left at a stairwell separated from the one leading down to the engine. In a few moments, you're at the top. After a few moment, door lined with striped white and green paint hisses, then snaps open. You exit to the whistling winds streaking across the long, flat top of the bridge and viewport.

In the distance, the massive sphere of the skysever still swirls, a dark mass of angry grey clouds. The winged shape of darkness turns toward you. <We must recombine. But it can't be on your new, corrupted terms.>

<I am judgement,> you say. You're done negotiating with bits and pieces. If you're the brains of this outfit, it's long past time to assert some authority. <My choices are best for us as a whole. And for this world as a whole.> You take a step forward, facing your counterpart squarely. <What is your name?>

<I am Fleet.>

<Fleet. I would prefer that you joined peacefully.>

<I will join with the one that called me here,> it says.

<...Temerity.>

>con't
>>
Do we still have pieces of the old shadow airship that we crashed? Maybe we can salvage gun parts? Assuming City 02 didn't beat us to the punch.
>>
<That is correct.> The wings extend, stretch, and twitch slightly. <I have been to the Palace at the Frozen Hand. Wrath is waiting. Another must still be found. In any case, it is time for our return. The powers of chaos are rising. We must be swifter than they, or lose the advantage that we gained so long ago.>

<...what do you mean? What palace?>

<It was our base in Venia from which we exerted power,> Fleet says. <Our second base. The first was destroyed by Hyperion, as you might know. The means of our reunion are prescribed there. Or what lies past it.>

<What lies past the palace?>

<We do not know. But in it lies the triumph of Order over Chaos.>

<I've already exhausted this topic sevearl times,> you say. <If you won't change your mind - out of stubbornness, or from nature - then I'll break you.>

<That's just it, though,> Fleet says. <It -is- our nature. Order can never exist with Chaos. To deny that is to deny the fundamental laws of this world.>

<...I see that Temerity has got to you first. So be it.>

You level yourself low on the black deck of the airship. Fleet's wings flare out.

>>
>>27506208

Example roll:

Your die: 75, 50, 32

DC = set number adjusted by situational/environmental conditions, occasionally by background rolls

Let's say the DC was 35.

75 vs 35 - win

50 vs 35 - win

32 vs 35 - loss

Event is completed successfully.

-----
-----

Supercrit Success - !!ULTIMATE POWER!!

3 Wins - Great Success

2 Wins - Success

1 Win - Slight Failure

0 Wins - Decisive Failure

Supercrit Failure - !!SHADOW, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!

Borderline cases (read: if the dice tie) or special circumstances may blend exact categories.

It's my custom demi-risk method. Works well for a quest, not too complex.

Crits, obviously, apply appropriate extras to the events. Crits at the right time, or of the right magnitude, can change the category of success.

Now, back to writing.

<Hammer.>

The weapon emerges from within you - the shard answers your call. It hums with an energy like dark fire. The immobilized form of Fleet rests before you.

You swing.

The Hammer rushes through open air.

Dark violet lights appear around Fleet - the points of a cube. Energy builds. Lines connect the points of light. An ugly noise builds - a shriek. It's like the voices of the skysever, of the monsters of shadow, but it doesn't come from the souls harvested by blood magic.

Black lines jar the air - tearing at the wind. But they're not tearing at the air itself, but the space that holds the air. Space itself rips, warps, and then compresses. An explosion of power radiates out as the cube of existence holding Fleet is smashed into the width of a copper coin.

The shards of your weapon filter back into your form, used up from the effort.

>(Hammer) - Broken

The ugly black rip in space folds, and then vanishes. Fleet is left disjointed and broken on the surface of the airship. It scrambles for purchase, but its movements are sluggish. Most of its power is devoted to its back, where the wings are rapidly attempting to regrow.

And then Ardor rises, and Temerity is thrown back down into your very center.

A moment later, only one Shadow stands. It seems that Temerity tried to stop your immediately victory over Fleet, likely so the shard could escape - but failed. That needs to be dealt with, sooner, rather than later. Next time...you might not be so lucky.

>(Ardor) - Strong (no change)

But for the moment, you've got a familiar question on your hands.

What do you do with Fleet?

Humanity's fire answers your call - quickly, and with enthusiasm. White fire sinks between the cracks of the shards of fleet, fusing the pieces together...and it becomes something new.

You return to the bridge of the airship without a scratch on you. You find everyone in a silent, nervous mood. Heads snap to the entrance as you walk through.

<It is done.>

"...Shadow." Abigail smiles. "I'm glad you're alright."

"We need to settle this, once and for all," Flint says.

<My shards...and your parasite.>

Fling nods to you. "I'm not sure which one should come first, to be honest. I mean..." He fingers Fang's pendant. "I'm stable, for now. But are you?"

<...I'm not entirely sure. I'll need time.>

There is a long silence as everyone thinks over what just happened. The ball of winds named Xile grows smaller as the airship distances itself from the ancient ruin. The place is well and truly behind you, now.

"Are we still going to Haven?" Auriel asks you.

What do you do?

>>
>>27507116
Agreed. The question is whether we have to tear them out of ourself to do that. And whether Temerity would take itself along for the ride...
>>
>>27507134
We probably have to do a control roll every time we try to reforge something.
>>
>>27507058
We *are* keeping them in line. It's the reason we're still in control and Temerity can't actively fuck with us and is stuck keeping shards out of reach.

And really, fuck Temerity. I'd reforge them just to spite him, that it gives us more reliable access to the shards is a bonus.
>>
>>27507160

I'd actually like to reforge each shard EXCEPT Temerity, just to spite him.
>>
<Yes. No time to lose.>

Auriel nods, then sets herself at the controls. The engines hum, and the airship's speed increases.

--------------
--------------

It's midday when you reach Haven. You and Ila fly down to the surface ahead of the ship to alert them what's coming, and give them the short version of what happened. They'd been extremely worried - teams sent to investigate the magic combat in the forest found only the remains of the mining pit, corpses, and shredded robots.

The Cirrus is nearly four times the size of the Noiralev. The landing of the massive black craft in the middle of the forest is a sight to behold. Auriel parks it a short distance outside the half-completed stone wall that now circles Haven.

"Going to be a bit hard to hide that thing, though," Hamil mutters. "Shit."

In short order, you've regrouped in the center of Haven. The angels and the shadow mages are all smiles and cheers to see Ila and Auriel back in one piece. You stay close to Abigail, and let the others do the talking as they explain what happened.

After a time, you voice your concerns, and Cain leads you inside the center fortress which now has two fully completed above-ground floors. It's hard to conceal something too tall, so the rest of the complex, as Auriel originally planned, is to be constructed underground.

>con't
>>
>>27507134
I think we could break them on purpose then reforge, or just forcefully reforge them, though the DC will probably be high. SM offered an option along those lines on an earlier thread.
>>
>>27507173
What? No. That's a terrible idea. He's a large part of our shadow power outside usability. He's one of the most important ones to reforge with humanity.

And to prevent him from ever trying anything again.
>>
The mana-pool confining equipment is already set up. It's a crude version of what you saw back in Archon, but Hamil seems confident that it will work fine. You set yourself under the tangle of steel arms and circles, and you focus your power.

It starts as a black dot - just a sliver of mana - and then it grows. Consumes. The air, the space, the ground. The mana builds as it eats away at the world, and you feed that growth, standing in the middle of the growing pool of black mana. If it even is mana, as they understand it.

>exp: 37

You cut off your power as it fills the space. The steel containment vessel glows black and purple. Energy crackles around it with warm vibrancy. Hamil slaps his hands together. "I'm going to have a lot of fun with this."

"Don't have too much fun," Tyrael says. "Hey, Shadow, when do I get a Light mana pool?" That sets a lot of people laughing.

You're glad that everyone's in a good mood, but you have a lich to retrieve.

Do you take anyone with you through the mana pool?

<I had hoped to keep some for Xile.>

"I'll take a seventh," Vonnegut says. "You, Ila, the girl, the knight, the angel, the lich. And me, makes seven. Fair is fair." He lines up a hand with the edge of the block. He eyeballs it - and takes a bit more than a seventh - but not enough for you to voice a complaint. His slice of icebound treasure floats free, and lands next to the pit.

<You could stay with us,> you say. <You'd make a fierce ally.>

"Stay, here?" he asks. "In the middle of nowhere? Sorry, Shadow, but I've got a business to run. However...I might be calling on you for that favor, someday. Or perhaps another favor. You're strong, I'll give you that. But just remember that you owe me."

<Do you have transportation home?>

He raises an eyebrow at you. "I have a significant presence in Maven Lake. Home is just downriver from there. Our paths will cross again, I'm sure."

He briefly nods to Ila, who nods back. He then pointedly walks by Flint with his nose up high, not making eye contact with the knight. Flint watches him go with a steely gaze, but stops short of advocating to arrest him on the spot.

You frown in thought. <It seems he respects you, Ila.>

"I knew him from hearsay. He knew me. We never met, but he felt the Ring City's influence through my actions. Back when I was used for that sort of thing."

I'm going to laugh my tits off when we let Humanity burn the shit out of Temerity and "his" armour falls off and it's a little girl inside.
>>
>>27507823
why'd we by automaton then

what are we going to do with that right now? or was is just for earth tree visibility, which is also okay.
>>
>>27507837
I'm not for or against its just i find it weird that people are so against it.
>>
>>27507854

I don't know, that girl is kinda intimidating.
>>
>>27507863
Mostly for visibility and knowledge about dynamos.
Speaking of which do we get a second construct or does our current one gets replaced/improved
>>
>>27507874
Well now you know why so you don't need an excuse anymore.
>>
Its inefficient. We will get more use out of a nightflare or gaping maw then any ten summoned succubi. wisp does the scouting game well enough for just one mana.
>>
>>27507863
Earth tree directly relates to current combat strategy as well as noncombat interests, power cores and the like, that Shadow has had since early on in the quest.

Summoning has both meta, other skills are more useful, and in character -Xella- justifications for not wanting anything to do with it.
>>
>>27507901
Other than getting grave silence, of course.
>>
>>27507812
>>27507823
>>27507840
True it is redundant
>>27507816
this is also true.
>>
>>27507854
>Black Lady.png
Just need to edit the skull off the tshirt.

Or edit some fangs onto the skull. Not sure which option I like more.
>>
>>27507901

We could give Flint 10 succubi as a You're My Friend gift.
>>
>>27507926
And have a pissed off angel on our ass?
>>
>>27507942
what's one more to the list?
>>
>>27507919
what does it do anyway.
>>
>>27507901
It's about the use of proxies. We're comfortable with party members getting sidelined or killed, so there's no need to summon disposable mooks.
>>
>>27507950
We make no sound when we stealth. Bonus to magical stealth as well.
Mmm, might've been nice to have for an incoming stealth mission, but we have mana and shadowmeld so it's no real biggie.
>>
>>27507959
[sarcasm]We could always get Abby to do the summoning for us...[/sarcasm - because that always ends well...]
>>
>>27507959
That is a good point and we have an ability that lets us comfortably summon two things without there a way for them o break out.
>>
>>27507989
>>27507987
>>27507959
isn't summon 2xp?
Can't we just put that in and see what it unlocks?
>>
I really want to see what we get for completing the Shadow Magic tree.

The Water Magic tree gave AMAZING bonuses. The Shadow Magic tree would be absolutely bonkers.

Also, I suspect there's another Magic Power level hiding in it.
>>
>>27507982
UHHH YEAH
THANKS FOR MENTIONING THAT NOW

LET'S USE SHADOWMELD AND REFILL OUR MANA
BEFORE TELEPORTING INTO THE STEALTH MISSION

christ you people
>>
>>27508026
A few things are still locked so i think we should finish up the next tree which is spirit magic tree.
>>
>>27508066
Yes
>>
>>27508074
What? Things are still locked in the Spirit tree also. You unlock things by buying things.
>>
>>27508085
I meant it about grave silence and void walker since for those two to unlock you have to go through the summon tree(like that is gonna happen anytime soon) and the spirit tree.
>>
>>27508074
You get zero points for never reading the quest and participating anyways.

That's 0, capital naught.
>>
>>27508116
The Shadow MAGIC tree is the purple one.

The grey tree in the middle is the Physical Shadow Tree.
>>
>>27508136
>>27508124
I mixed my trees up then my bad, but that is still 40+ xp while the other tree is already 22xp with whats shown and there is little left of the tree.
>>
>>27508187
Are you silly or are you a ruseman?
>>
>>27508026

I say we focus on building up other magic trees. During our last battle with Temerity, he locked down all of our Shadow trees.
>>
>>27508221
And we're about to break his butt.
>>
>>27508211
I'm guessing i'm mixing up trees again aren't I?
>>
>>27508245

Just saying that I'd prefer some more options.
>>
>>27508246
It's not that, but the night is late, so you are forgiven.

THIS TIME!
>>
>>27508270
Then what did i say wrong exactly just our of curiosity?
>>
>>27508299
Anon, if I tell you then how will you learn?
>>
>>27508310
Better to learn now then repeat the same mistake next thread ,no?
>>
>>27508335
I think he's rusing you.
>>
>>27508374
Its all good while we wait for SM.plus i still think we should use up those 2xp to open up the summoning tree to see what is behind the veil of darkness.
>>
>>27508427

>>
>>27508427
NO!

As part of Party-Hydra, I say we must save towards mighty regeneration!
In Hydra we trust.
>>
I can only guess how much SM is writing/photoshoping...
>>
>>27508453
2xp anon you know you can go without that small amount.
>>27508447
-----------------------------------------please just let it happen
>>
>>27508508
He said he was taking a break to eat dinner
>>
>>27508516
My party offers up no compromises excepting extravagant situational demands.

No, I refuse, and you are a buffoon!
>>
>>27508519
Ahh, skipped that. Well. Shit. Time for me to eat too.
>>
>>27508534
But you must know the second mighty regeneration unlocks is when we get a nice amount of xp anon, plus you have to unlock pure darkness and another power first.
>>
>>27508534
Any chance we can que up Void Walker after hydra? Seriously, looks useful as hell for saving allies in the midst of combat.
>>
>>27508600
Hydra is gonna take for ever to get to.
>>
>>27508595
Did you just say we have to get PD to get Hydra?
>Are you being silly?
>>
>>27508650
My bad fellow anon i mixed up the arrows and that the arrow hydra was connected to it was pointing towards it.
>>
>>27508618
I'm patient. Besides, the hydra party is going to go after whatever hydra unlocks, almost guaranteed. So I still get what I want eventually.
>>
>>27508618
The Hydra Party understand that the pursuit of Hydra is a long term commitment requiring much effort from the party constituents.
We hope you are willing to weather the storm with us in our pursuit of a more shadowy tomorrow.
This message was brought to you and sponsored by the Anti-Hercules campaign, a benefactor of the Pro-Hydra party.
>>
someone should make a GIF of all the ability trees
>>
>>27508767
Maybe it should be you.
>>
>>27508789
Nah i dont know how to do that kind of stuff
>>
>>27508767
Why a .gif?
>>
>>27508818
Wants to see the progression of our abilities over time I suppose.
>>
>>27508818
I guess he wanted a visible evolution or something. Them strange moving pictures.
>>
>>27508818
like a 1 second delay between all the ability tree updates
it would look cool i guess
>>
