http://archive.foolz.us/tg/thread/23072794/

Previously on Blatant Fetish Quest, our protagonist, Max Power, learned that 'he' was actually a female with male genitalia, as a result of having an incubus as a father. Three years later, Max, now fit and a martial artist, flew to Romania to enroll at the prestigious Scholomance, a school for magic meeting Liz, your new girlfriend, on the way. On arriving in Romania, you learned that the Scholomance is extremely deadly and that only half of each class proceeds to the next grade each year.

You joined the Lotus prestige society, befriended Dane, a fourth-circle Lotus, and Lin, a prospective Lotus in your same year. Upon arriving at the Scholomance, a city-sized school hidden in a cave that's bigger on the inside, you discovered a tower and found an incubus who's probably your father chained up in the basement.

You're currently trying to balance Dextra Domini, rivals, commitments to your society, relationships, and studying while trying to survive. You're nearing the end of your first week of classes. Your custom-built beast won the quiz and Liz made it into the Society of the Archmagi. Your dryad just hatched and your mommy-instincts kicked into high gear.

You just climbed upstairs to get Liz roused for the day. She looks about half-way through breakfast in bed.

What do you do?
>>
>>23394049
Give her a kiss
>>
How long do we have left before we have to leave for classes?
>>
>>23394049
we should really get a bag of junk and other small foci on us at all times even just a fany pack would be useful

also feed her
>>
I really want to say go study, but I'm paranoid that if we don't have enough sex / relatinship bullshit then bad things will happen...
>>
>>23394118
Indeed, some sort of portable container of disposable foci would be a good idea. Wouldn't want to get caught short outside.
>>
Get under the sheets and start eating.
>>
Eat her out.
>>
>>23394122
We've got class shortly, I don't think there's really time for any serious study now.
>>
Reminder that we learned this in the previous threads regarding kraken fertilizer: "Hydrophilic, dries out if she goes too long without water. Tendency towards dehydration, at any rate."

While we could solve this by binding a water elemental on our dryad, I suggest picking a safer ingredient for her.
>>
>>23394122
Then you should suggest relationship stuff in the next time skip. Nobody ever does, and then focuses a huge amount of time on relationship stuff in the not-time-skip.
>>
>>23394141
Like wendigo? Much harder to kill. I guarentee it won't die from being out of wet for a spot.
>>
>>23394141

i wonder if mulching a kraken tentacle and then watering it with a subdued water elemental would work to stop her from drying out.
>>
>>23394141
We could discuss with our dad about if he has any ideas for a secondary ingredient for the Jotunn dryad. He has been reading through the book after all.

>>23394156
Femcock pretty much flat out said that a Wendigo would be a retarded idea, stop pushing it.
>>
>>23394141
So she just needs a pool of water to sleep in, she can grow rice, plus tentacles.
>>23394156
No
>>
>>23394141
Femcock told us OOC that getting wendigo parts is suicide and dad won't help us.
>>
>>23394170
>ask our dad
That's probably wise, we can discuss good ones he found while he was researching and pick from those.
>>
>>23394170
And that acquiring it is pretty much impossible anyways. They're too dangerous to hunt ourselves, and Dad refuses to go after the bits.
>>
Why is this quest so popular?
>>
>>23394178
>That's probably wise, we can discuss good ones he found while he was researching and pick from those.

I agree, but we should think what exactly we wanted our dryad to have extra.
>>
>>23394188
The main idea for the Jotunn one was to be a physical powerhouse. Other abilities are an added bonus, like the Jotunn bone giving cold immunity.
>>
>>23394185
>Why is this quest so popular?

Its Hogwarts/Hunger Games crossover.
>>
>>23394185

>acquire hot wendigo dryads

Ta-da
>>
>>23394194
Hmm. Maybe give her a part that grants her regeneration? Maybe Troll blood?
>>
>>23394212
I can see several flaws in that plan, but since no-one is ever going to take it seriously anyway, there's really not much point in arguing with you.
>>
>>23394219
I think we asked about trolls and regeneration before and our dad told us to stop listening to modern media.

Trolls in this are folklore trolls, not d&d trolls.
>>
>>23394141
I'd tend to agree.

I still think a gardening specialist would be better. Though I don't see a real conflict between giving her elemental powers like that Lotus guy's dryad and giving her tentacles. Giving her an affinity to cold, on the other hand...

Could we use the kraken tentacles as a focus to grow tentacles ourself ?
Is using kraken bits to create a permanent focus more effective than a bag of frozen calamari ?
>>
>>23394174
Tentacles are a plus, but rapid dehydration seems like a serious disadvantage for a bruiser. Remember, we want her to be able to leave the house and maybe bodyguard Liz when we can't.
>>
>>23394219
The Kraken tentacle basically grants indefinite lifespan as long as she has water.
>>
>>23394212
What part of ravenous flesh eating monster did you not get?
>>
>>23394212
>Ta-da

Wendigo are so powerful, that their body parts are the rarest ingredients in the setting.

A setting that phoenix ash, jotun bones and dragon blood are common.

Think about that for a second.

FemCOCK said this quest is using interpretations of monsters from folklore, not D&D. A troll wouldn't be what you're expecting.
>>
>>23394170
>We could discuss with our dad about if he has any ideas for a secondary ingredient for the Jotunn dryad.
Maybe a fire giant ?
I don't like the idea of a cold dryad, but a dryad that can switch between a cold and hot affinity would be great.
>>
>>23394212
Wendigo class trap wards are beyond young archmagi level.
>>
>>23394247
>A setting that phoenix ash, jotun bones and dragon blood are common.
No, those are quite uncommon. It's been more than a month and our dad is still trying to find a Jotunn bone. Still, they seem safer to get, at any rate.
>>
>>23394247
Jotun bones are taking a month just to track down and acquire. The other two aren't quite as rare, but not exactly easy to get, either.
>>
A giant dragon hybrid sounds like awesome. Incredible strength, inhuman toughness and a major sorcery talent? Do want.
Lin can get the gardener dryad.
>>
>>23394254
If we talk to him about our intention of the dryad being physically powerful, and that any other powers are added bonuses, then I'm sure he'll come up with a few good ideas.

>>23394240
But prevents her from having a strenuous workout on dry land.

>>23394141
or this is the perfect excuse to get pool room in the tower sure it mean like 3 more basement levels

make it a nice water ecosystem fresh craw dads,Rice,Wasabi,Chinese Water Chestnut,

we could grow actual Lotus and give them as gifts to people in our society

plus we will have a place to swim and thats just good work out

>>
>>23394247
Also, OP has specifically said getting wendigo bones is fucking stupid.
>>
>>23394267
>A giant dragon hybrid sounds like awesome

We are already making our 3rd dryad a dragon/phoenix hybrid.
>>
Some people are eager to eat out Liz, so do that, then if we have time before class, go talk to our dad about alternatives to the Kraken, since the whole dehydration thing is a bit of an obstacle.
>>
>>23394185
Because it runs everyday. A lot of people see it again and again until they go "okay, okay, I'll read it - oh, it's actually pretty good".
>>
>>23394286
Let's do that for now, just to move the plot a bit.
>>
>>23394247
We still don't know what makes them so powerful specifically.

Do they wield magic? Do they have some immunity to magic? Are they just near-immortal, superstrong and superfast?

If it's the third we can overcome that more easily than the first two.

I have seen absolutely no reason not to go for wendigo dryads other than people going "hurr wendigo bad"

Also jotunn + wendigo = ultimate bruiser
>>
For a secondary ingredient for the Jotunn dryad.

How about a Dwarf as per norse mythology?
>>
>>23394278
We don't need an excuse for that.

>>23394267
>>23394254
Yeah, a dragon could replace a fire giant well to obtain a big strong cold/fire dryad.
>>
>>23394307
That could be good, their ability at smithing might translate to an Alchemy expertise, and they are tough fighters.
>>
>>23394302
The ancient Incubus 5th circle is telling us it's a horrible idea and he refuses to help us get it. That's a perfectly good reason not to.

Now turn your trip back on so fem can ignore you properly, Snapple.
>>
>>23394254
Wouldnt help with the heat aversion, but someone mentioned japanese blue oni yesterday (no specific type), mixing in undefeated warrior blood seems good for martial prowess, and you know she'd look badass with a Kanabō.
>>
>>23394307
>>23394326
Awesome magic item making bruiser? Count me in!

Since Norse Dwarves weren't actually short, it won't diminish the size of our Jotunn Dryad either.
>>
>>23394302
>I have seen absolutely no reason not to go for wendigo dryads other than people going "hurr wendigo bad"
Yet it's reason enough.
We can't find a wendigo.
We can't defeat a wendigo.
We can't raise a wendryadgo.

Drop it. Let's do dragon/jotunn/phoenix.
>>
>>23394334
>japanese blue oni yesterday
>>23394307
>Dwarf

Both of those sound cool, we should ask dad about his opinion.
>>
>>23394238
Honestly it would probably be easier to just make a construct bruiser. And the dehydration can probly be fixed by either adding water elemental to theix or binding one to her.
>>
>>23394307
>>23394326
I'd rather add the dwarf to a earth/water elemental dryad.
She might grow to be able to use incredible alchemy with plants.

>>23394392
We don't have time for this shit. Dad's busy enough with the work on the tower and the ingredients he is able to acquire reasonably. And outright refuses to help with getting any wendigo bits. We have school. And a wendigo is far above a first circle's skills to take down. Your plan is suicide and we're not going to do it.

>>
"Don't mind me," you say, crawling up under the sheets as Liz continues her breakfast.

"What are you doing?" she asks as you pull her legs apart.

"Having something to eat," you respond coyly before giving her clit a long, slow lick. She gasps as you do. "Try not to spill anything." You start giving her clit, her lips, her hole long, slow, luxurious licks. You're not trying to make her cum yet, just tease her and make her feel good. She keeps eating for a minute or two, but soon sets aside the tray of food, leaning back and moaning as you work at her.

You push her legs up until her ankles are up by her head, and you actually start alternating fucking her with your tongue and flickering all over her clit. Her reaction is adorable, really, moaning out for her Mistress and thanking you desperately. After many, many long minutes of this treatment, and an amount of pleasure you only care to guess at, her thighs clench, her back arches, and she screams out as she's hit with the big one.

You sit back up, wiping off your mouth and licking your lips. "That was for being such a good mommy last night, and for being my perfect little slut," you say, giving her tummy a few kisses.

"Thank you, Mistress," she says, giving you a smile.

"You should finish your breakfast."

"Okay."

What do you do now?

Let's ask about using elementals as fertilizer.

Ask also if there's a way to stock up energy we drain from sex for later uses.

I want to know, specifically, what makes wendigos the ultimate bad thing in this setting.

Dad mentioned getting a Lunch, something we planned on early, but here's the question: Nemesis is basically the same as Dextra, except they go 'enslave' instead of 'kill', so maybe Lunch should be some Nemesis chick? Just a thought.

It's still going to be a while before Selene's ready for that, and that there'll be enough energy drainers in the house to need another Meal.

>>
>>23394643
>yee naaldlooshii

>>
>>23394602
Thing is, they aren't the ultimate bad thing. But yeah, try thinking of a wendigo less like an entity and more like an anthropomorphic personification of cannibalism and all the negative connotations associated with cannibalism. Also, a localized conflux of famine and misfortune. Sorry if I'm not being to clear, but that's more or less how I understand it. That said, if you're looking to fight the baddest of the bad I would start looking for elder GPRS and lovecraftian horrors.
>>
>>23394675
That sounds more like a specialty mage than a creature.
>>
>>23394617
And supper should be Sanjay.

Did we ever talk about Nemesis with dad ? We don't know a lot about that society.
>>

>>
>>23394700
and wendigos start as people, it's tje same principal
>>
>>23394692
But it's not just an anthropomorphic representation of cannibalism and starvation.

In this setting they are physical (or possibly spiritual, like demons) creatures.

They are hard to kill for reasons completely separate to their symbolism and I want to know what those reasons are.
>>
>>23394719
The kraken tentacle is pretty easy to get, so we told him to just hold off until he got the jotun bone. If we do decide to change it, it needs to be something on the same level of difficulty to acquire.

>>23394745
Then do some independent research! I'll even make you a deal, if you go back through the primary sources and construct a decent plan that accounts for our current power level as well as the wendigo's, then I will certainly give it some consideration. Til then, I'm done with rational discussion and just moving to voting down wendigo whenever it comes up.

Have we told L&L about the bolthole we found yet that we're going to use as warding practice/a fallback point?

You head back to your dad with more questions to ask about dryad fertilizers. "So, what makes wedigos so bad anyway, dad?" you ask. He's playing with Selene when you walk in.

"For fuck's sake, Max, are you still on this?" he asks. "Wendigos never stop being hungry, are strong and fast even by supernatural standards, can chew through fucking magic, cause havoc, misfortune, and bad luck by their mere presence... When they get strong enough, they can even start walking Between. When you find a wendigo, you smite it from orbit with something too big for it to escape by luck, then burn and salt the ashes a second time just to be sure. That, or you run away and take great effort not to attract its attention in the hopes that it simply starves to death. Stop asking about wendigos."

"Okay, okay, I was just wondering," you say, putting up your hands in mock surrender. "What about dwarves or oni? I'm wondering about other parts to go with the Jotunn bone since the kraken has the risk of dehydration."

"Oni parts are easy to get if you have contacts in the Yakuza. I don't anymore, so it should be pretty tricky. Dwarf is easy; I can get that while pursuing the Jotunn bone; the types of people that have parts from Norse things tend to have plenty of lower-grade ones too."

"But what do they do?"

"Oni should give strength and toughness; dwarf should make her tough with good Alchemy and intelligence."

What do you do now?
>>
>>23394860
I thought the idea was that we'd each have a second sanctum where we could practice warding safely and actually get skilled at it instead of depending on Dad like in the tower, and Lin getting more practice on anything is a good idea.

I was here for the first thread, and missed out on everything up until I just got caught up now.
I just want to make a suggestion that, now that we can do sorcery, we keep a small pouch of ash with us at all times in case we need to dampen flames or for use in gardening spells.
You know, since ash is a reusable resource for magical purposes.
We should also start using the excess ash from all of our spell casting in the garden, it's good for that.

YOU SAY WENDIGO, I SAY WINDIGO: Most people use these two spellings interchangeably to describe the same being, but some believe the words have different meanings. Those who fall in the latter camp think "wendigo" describes a lonely man-beast who lives in the forest waiting to feast on human flesh, while the "windigo" is a cannibalistic spirit that possesses humans. Both concepts originate from Native American folklore and have ties to cannibalism.

THE CREATURE: The wendigo is a cold climate creature that's been spotted in Canada and in northern states like Minnesota. Some locals who've encountered the beast consider it a relative of Bigfoot, but reports describe the beast as more of a werewolf than a Sasquatch. Ethno-historian Nathan Carlson says the wendigo is often described as a creature with owl-like eyes, large claws and an emaciated body. Others describe it looking like a skeleton with ash-toned skin. This strange being is said to live alone in the forest and feeds on human flesh. The Algonquian tribes called the wendigo the "spirit of lonely places," and they blamed many unsolved disappearances at the turn of the 20th century on wendigo attacks.

THE SPIRIT: One of the most widely reported cases of a windigo spirit possessing a human is that of Swift Runner, a Native American who murdered and ate his entire family in the winter of 1879. He claimed to be possessed by a windigo at the time of the murders and was hanged for his crime. Although his case is one of the most well-known historically, there were many reports in the early 20th century of windigo spirits possessing people in dozens of communities from northern Quebec to the Rockies.

They were born in the violence of a Dextra raid! Molded by it.

They were planted in the tainted grounds of scholomance and fertilized with the blood of monsters.

Violence is all our dryads shall ever know.
>>
>>23394901
What if we use some dragon along with the jotunn bones ? Would the affinity to fire and cold cancel each other, or would they combine into making the dryad able to withstand both ?
Do fire giants exist ?
>>
>>23395091
>she wont need to go anywhere, she and selene would be at home gardening

Yes she will you retard, did you even read the previous threads? We specifically wanted a Enchantment focused dryad, a heavy hitter dryad to protect Liz and a Dragon/Phoenix dryad for Sorcery.
>>
>>23395113
I'm liking the nordic bruiser alchemist idea too.
>>
>>23395123
We're already using dragon parts for the third dryad. No need to make two with dragon in them.

Both oni and dwarf seem to stack well with jotunn, but if the oni's going to be tricky tell dad to go with just the dwarf. Play with Selene for a bit, get a shower and head to class.
>>
>>23395177
>as soon as some idiot thinks of a new ingredient everyone wants to fuck up the plans we already had going

The Dwarf/jotun dryad is a direct upgrade to our existing plan, stop being so salty about your shitty kraken.
>>
>>23395138
We can switch.

We could use a thunderbird with the phoenix. It would be a flying dryad that can spew fire and lightning.
>>
>>23395177
Hey, confirm that and you have my support. I like the tentacle idea but it's not worth the loss of mobility and implied ease of exhaustion.
>>
>>23395206
Eh, I prefer Jotunn/Dwarf. It all combines together nicely into a powerful warrior with added magic smithing skills.
>>
>>23395064
I still say the toughness and sorceress talent of a dragon/giant hybrid is a good idea.
>>
Guys, we need to consider which dryiad we want to follow us and which we want to be loyal to Lin. I vote we take the more powerful one.
>>
>>23395200
The kraken tentacle was a minimal-effort ingredient, and getting the dwarf bone will be just as easy. This is the one part of the plan we still have wiggle room on, and now that we know more about how ingredients affect how a dryad forms we'll be able to decide more wisely.
>>
>>23395218
The uncompensated affinity to cold is bothering me a lot.
But maybe we can make a fire giant/cold giant/dwarf dryad. It should mesh well together, they're from the same mythology.
>>
Guys, rather than arguing about whether to mix kraken tentacles or dwarf beards to the jotun bones, why not just use the kraken tentacle on an entirely different dryad once we've researched how to effectively combat the dehydration issue?

And if someone's about to say we don't have enough seeds, it just means we have to wait for Selene to mature enough to use one of hers.
>>
>>23395218
We could go Jotunn/Dwarf/Dragon and Phoenix/thunderbird I suppose.
>>
>>23395248
It was generally agreed ages back that going for more than two ingredients just resulted in a whole bunch of shitty, diluted ingredients.

>>
>>23395262
There was no indication of that.
The guy we ask said ithe dryad "might" not live up to its full pontential if we "overwhelm" it with different fertilizers.
Nothing was said about 2=good and 3=bad. Moreover, it stands to reason that monster bases that keep to theme would not diversify her ability so much that she can't master them all.

>>
>>23395326
Stop trying to solve problems by just piling on more and more ingredients.

It's stupid. Hell I was the one who first suggested Kraken all those threads ago, and I think that keeping it when we know it's going to have dehydration problems is retarded.
>>
>>23395326
And further dilute the jotun strength buff.

At that point it would be better to have not added the kraken at all.
>>
>>23395322
>mint
Ugh no. Basil or thyme, if you want, but a minty dryad would be annoying.
>>
"Could you actually get a dwarf bone with the Jotunn bone, then?" you ask. You walk up and give Selene a little tickle, much to her delight.

"Absolutely. It would probably be even less effort than getting the kraken tentacles, since I could do one along with the other."

"Thanks, dad. I'm going to go take a shower before class," you say, then head upstairs. Liz has gotten up now, it seems, since she's no longer in the bed and the shower is running. You climb in with her and you both wash each other off in quiet comfort, occasionally pressing up against each other, caressing, and kissing. Liz gives you a pleased grin the entire time, and you feel yourself reciprocating it.

When you get out, you help towel each other off, and Liz heads out to fix up her hair and makeup.

Now, instead of asking what you're going to do now, here's how this is going to work. You're going to roll for which combo of ingredients you want. I'm going to walk away for a while, and when I get back, I'll pick the highest roll. If the highest roll is retarded, I'll pick the next highest. Link all of your rolls to this post. Once the decision is made, it's final. No more endless discussion of dryad fertilizers.

Kisses, sluts.

You, Lin, and Liz all gather together, dressed and equipped, at the tower entrance. Your dad stands there with Selene, showing her how to wave bye-bye; she just seems confused. You wait calmly and casually in line. You chat with Liz and Lin idly while you wait your turn. When you finally do get to the sheets, you check for yourself and all of your friends.

Liz is second, after Sanjay. Lin is in tenth. Dane is fifth in his circle. Yin and Yang are tied at 10th and 11th in theirs. Ali is fourth in her circle. Domino is seventh. Sam is in thirteenth. Hera is in fourteenth.

You're in eighth.

Liz frowns when she looks at the sheet, then grabs your arm and starts walking towards the class door. She's clearly upset that Sanjay is beating her out.

They both already know that Liz did better than Sanjay. That was the whole point of their little competition at Petrov's beckoning, and Liz won. The people who matter already know their relative rankings. Only people in the thick of the fighting at middle or low ranks will be watching the ranking board.

Plus, at this point it doesn't matter so long as you're in the top 32, and we're by far into there. I wouldn't be surprised if we were in the top five, but below Liz and Sanjay.

But, like I said, it doesn't matter, because we're absolutely positive that we are ranked high enough that it doesn't matter which position we are actually in.

No, if we kill Sanjay, then we are getting rid of a definite threat in the future while he is still relatively less of a threat.
Also, what you said is only a reasonable assumption from the perspective of a narrative. Max does not see things from a narrative perspective. Meta Thinking is Bad, and I would oppose that line of thought on simple principle, even if it weren't already dumb.
>>
>>23396056
Huh, she actually has less completed magic boxes than Max.

Still, she's closer to completing a few more than we are.
>>
>>23395887
>>23396056

I'm voting we help Liz study more, first Alchemy then Conjuration.
>>
>>23396086
studying subjects that also help us right?
>>
>>23396086
Indeed, we can have group study sessions so we learn at the same time.

Let's ignore the fact that Max's group study sessions almost always fail and annoy everyone involved.
>>
>>23396056
Wow, she's close to finishing a bar on several different stats. We should focus on filling those out before anything else.
I vote we focus on finishing Conjuration, then Alchemy, Body, Soul and lastly, Enchantment. Then we start work on her next rank of Sorcery.
>>
>>23396105
I think for Liz that Body and Soul are less important. She needs to excel at magic.
>>
>>23396105
yeah, the reason shes behind sanjay is probably because of her sorcery
>>
>>23396059
Actually, us loosing grounds on grades because we spent time murdering when we could be studying is a reasonable supposition.
>>
>>23396120
That's why it would be best if Max did it while Liz continued studying like normal. We're planning on dropping out in the fifth or sixth circle, anyways, so we can afford to fall back on studying for a bit. Plus, we can more afford to fall back early on while there's a lot of distance between us and failing than later on when we actually have to -work- to stay above scratch.
>>
"It's okay, Liz," you say, putting your arm around her and squeezing. "We're only a little more than a month in. Now you know you need to work harder. Or bring him down a peg."

"I know, Mistress," she says, hugging you back. "I just wasn't expecting it."

Once everyone's in the room and seated, Petrov stands before the class and grins. "Today, we're working on a simple but important concept. It will be a tool that I expect you'll continue to use until the day you leave this school. We're going to make a focus that helps you make more foci. Does anyone have any questions before we begin?"

What do you do?
>>
>>23396120
I think we should just murder Sanjay so people would stop worrying about him and that Pierre fag who people somehow think is a threat
>>
>>23396154
Huh. We've sort of done that with our Mental Focus boost, haven't we? But no, no questions. Let's just pay attention.

>>

>>
>>23396154
listen to him
take extensive notes
or take your dick out and wave it around
whichever helps our grades more
>>
>>23396195
That would be feasible, as well, I didn't think of that. We should make a mental note to ask Dad about helping us to eliminate potential threats.
>>
>>23396154

take notes and pay some serious attention this is will be very useful.
>>
>>23396160
I think people are underestimating Pierre he wants to be in the middle wear the fighting is so he can remove the evil he actually is the best in class

also we should remind liz to bribe the teacher a bit what has she even brought him? we should ask dad what he would like
>>23396154
take notes pay attention
>>
>>23396220
>bribe the teacher
The teacher's already her personal tutor as the SotA pick. He wants her to win, but apparently that doesn't mean he's willing to fiddle the ratings.

Unless Liz is actually number 1 and Petrov listed her as 2 to make her try even harder.
>>
>>23396240
I'm willing to bet that fudging with grades is the one thing that the school doesn't tolerate.

We're relatively less of a threat to him too.
Once we're done with our basic enhancement, and as Lin gets more tutoring from the SotA, we'll get ahead of him and will be able to off him with less risk.

But that's all a moot point, because I'm sure Liz wants to beat him without removing him.
Also, he's like the lure in a greyhound race. If Liz get too comfortable on top she won't progres as much.

>>

>>23396348
You take a lot of really good notes - notes good enough, in fact, that you should get a +1 when making foci as long as you reference them. Then it's time for the practical portion of the class to begin. "You all have one hour to collect any and all temporary foci you want to use in the creation of this focus. You will then be given one hour of in-class time to craft it and present it to me. You'll be graded and dismissed. Feel free to ask me any questions you have, but the clock starts... Now," he says, pressing a button on his watch.

What do you do?
>>
I have a question.

Does the power and rarity of a monster used to create a permanent focus influe on the power of that focus ?
If we wanted to create a focus to grow tentacles (I know we're not able to, yet), would a kraken tentacle be better than a cheap octopi we found at a mundane fishmonger's shop ?
>>
>>23396527
What are the general concepts involved in creating a permanent focus for creating permanent foci?
>>
>>23396527
So we're making a focus to help make foci.

So we need things that build, or reinforce, or replicate, maybe. Perhaps we could find an ant, they're good builders.
>>
>>23396527
We must decide the kind of focus we want.

I think we should make a focus for creating illusions - either to improve our senses (might come handy when we'll work on that dildo or on selene's sight), or to make ourself invisible (useful for obvious reasons).
>>
>>23396527
Since this is a permanent focus that will help us make more foci, that means that alchemy is the main magic used right?

So what are some alchemy focused foci?
>>
>>23396595
We're building a focus for making focuses, what part of that did you not understand?
>>
>>23396595
Wait, I'm super retarded, I forgot we wanted to create a focus for creating foci.

Disregard that.
>>
>>23396463
If we want to catch up to or close the distance between him and ourselves, then we need to focus less on improving the home for our family, and more on improving ourselves as a student.
A few classes that allow us to show our real advantage would also be useful for increasing our rank to more accurately represent our abilities. Hint Hint, FemCOCK.

>>23396527
So we're collecting Focii to create a Focus that helps create more Focii? What sort of spell is it? We, as players, know next to nothing about the spell for creating a focus, so how are we going to choose what items would help?
Strictly speaking, any item that could be used as a focus for anything (IE: Any item at all) would help us create a focus, as they could be used to represent the idea of a Focus.
>>
>>23396527
Let's discuss it with L&L, and compare what we have in our pockets and bags.
>>
>>23396527

reference our notes to determine what items would work well as a focus for focus crafting.

something like:
lenses, glasses, measuring equipment for precision.
screwdrivers, wrenches, (other tools which i couldn't name to save my life.) for making it reliable/durable

if we use more temporary focus items, will it be easier to make the eternal focus?
>>
Monocle guy here, I was thinking something like a watchmakers monocle, that like helps us see and harness the energies that go into the crafting better.
>>
>>23396602
>>23396585

Ants, cauldrons, maybe clay and multi tool?
>>
>>23396527
Fasteners (nails, screws, rivets, bolts, brads, staples, paperclips), or construction materials (wood, brick, stone, rebar, sheet metal) would be good if we can find them. Or symbolic representations thereof.
>>
>>23396527
As the most powerful mage in the class, Sanjay should be a good focus for making a magic item that makes magic items. Him dissolving into ash afterwards is also a bonus.
>>
>>23396602
I think we need a temporary focus to represent each of the four kinds of magic.
Then one to represent alchemy.
One to represent spellcasting.
And one to represent the principle of sympathic magic ?
>>
>>23396671
Stop suggesting obvious murder.
>>
How about a small chunk of iron or clay that represents pretty much creation in general.
>>
A nut and a bolt, an unread assembly instruction manual, a needle and thread, a whisk, a tube of superglue
>>
>>23396670
>Or symbolic representations thereof.
Is a drawing of an item on a piece of paper as good as that item as a temporary focus ?

Should we sacrifice one of our permanent foci as a focus for that thing ?
>>
Copper wire! All the copper wire!
>>
>>23396719
>Should we sacrifice one of our permanent foci as a focus for that thing ?

>>
>>23396719
>Is a drawing of an item on a piece of paper as good as that item as a temporary focus ?

>>
>>23396737
>>23396716
>>23396632
>>23396662

So far the suggested items are:
Copper wire, A nut and a bolt, an unread assembly instruction manual, a needle and thread, a whisk, a tube of superglue, clay, lenses, Ants, cauldrons, maybe clay and multi tools.

Can we get all of them in 1 hour?
>>
>>23396761
That was to represent logical thought, though. I think he's talking about drawing the item we want to create and using the drawing as a focus for the item.
>>
>>23396719
What I meant by symbolic representations was things like a pebble instead of a fucking paving stone, actually.

>>23396742
This is a good question, but the answer is probably 'no.'
>>
>>23396779
If we split up and get a good move on, maybe.
If we could convince dad to TP out and bring back a Makerbot 3d Printer I can't really think of a better focus, but that may be outside of time available.

Thread's on page 5 now btw.
>>
>>23396779
Where do you intend to get each of those? Specify where you intend to look for them.
>>
>>23396779
If we have a watch we can take it apart for some of that and some more.

Like gears and springs and whatnot.
>>
>>23396681
>a temporary focus to represent each of the four kinds of magic.
Sorcery : a lighter or a match or a battery.
Alchemy : a piece of lead and some acid (we don't have gaviscon with us, right ?)
Enchantment : a mirror
Conjuration : a door ? or a drawing of a conjuration circle ? I don't really know.

Then clay to represent alchemy again.

A wand to represent spellcasting.

And a paper doll with a bit of someone's hair in it to represent sympathetic magic.
>>
>>23396827
Most of those are commonly found from shops, so since we can't teleport can we get dad to help?
>>
>>23396527
Can we work in groups?
>>
>>23396836
From a non digital watch we could get
screws, springs, the lens, some iron or steel plating. Maybe some nutt and bolts?
>>
>>23394049
>>23396527
what could we summon that would be a good component?

as for foci some
ants, or bees any hive insect would be great,
a screw driver/ pliers,
spit on a rag for elbow grease
a flower would be great too
hell recopy our notes and add that
clay in the shape of the world raped in copper wire
needle and thread
several drops of super glue

lets use a wand as the base classy as fuck

Wait, can we use alchemy right now to make some of this Focii? If so, a Jewler's loop and some calipers should be easy enough to make out of one of these desks. I think the Loop might be a good object to have as the final Focii. Either that or an anvil for Littlebig jotunn/dwarf daughter.
>>
>>23396827
What all items do we have on our person, other than the guns, notebook, and pencil that we already know about?
>>
>>23396893
We need the alchemy pool for the actual spell, best not to wast it.
>>
>>23396911
Ah, forgot about the drain, good point.
Well, if we need an emblem of precision craftsmanship, we are carrying a 1911...
>>
>>23396857
Where to find them :
Lighter/match/battery in our pockets/bag
Lead and acid : conjure some with Liz's permanent acid focus and some lead paint from the walls (well...)
A mirror : Liz or Lin got to have one, break it in three pieces.
Conjuration circle : have liz draw three of them
Clay : alchemize it from a piece of brick we can find probably close to the school.
Wand : there's a tree somewhere, make one.
Paper doll with hair : make it with our paper and hair.
>>
>>23396779

copper shouldn't be to hard, there are probably plenty of old buildings we can scavenge electric wire from.

something like an abandoned old tool shop would be nice for wires, tools, various bits of construction material. there might even be a few manuals lying around.

generally old buildings which were suppose to house a lot of people would do.

You head outside of the cave to get a bit of clay from the soil and some dead ants. Lin and Liz each head off in their own separate directions for their own items. You check your gun for a craftsman's seal and find that your dad and Petrov did, indeed, replicate those as well. You pry it off too. You then sprint all the way back to the tower. You should have plenty of time to spare if you find everything there.

You find a match in one of the cabinets and a screwdriver and hammer in one of the old storage boxes. With what time is left, your dad uses Alchemy to make you a simple, hard wooden wand to use as the focus's base. You sprint all the way back to the class room after that and wait for the time limit to expire. Liz is already there too, and Lin soon follows.

"Well then, let's begin," says Petrov once the time is up. He walks to the doors and closes them. "Anyone not yet back will receive a failure on this assignment. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, but you should know everything you need by now. Begin."

Roll Alchemy to craft this focus. You get a +1 from your notes and a +6 from your various temporary foci. I'll consider the first nine linked 1d100 rolls.

Your temporary foci turn to ash and your casting is successful. Lin and Liz look like they had some degree of success as well - they're smiling, at least. Sam's hitting his head against the desk, and Hera is trying to comfort him. It looks like she succeeded and he didn't. Pierre fucked up too, and Sanjay is just sitting there looking smug.

You walk up and hand Petrov your new wand. He looks it over carefully, gives it a tap against the table, and says, "Adequate. Consider using a more durable material or portable design in the future unless you want to be able to burn the focus for some reason. Succeeded by a wide margin; good selection of temporary foci. It looks like you have a moderate talent for Alchemy."

You pocket your new focus and head out of the classroom. Lin and Liz are still waiting to get their foci graded.

What do you do now?

Go comfort Sam.
>>
>>23397562

Talk to Sam and Hera. We need to start socializing more with others.
>>
>>23397616
We should do this, but specifically so he can have the item, and not for grading purposes.
Don't want to get us in trouble for cheating again.
And we should become closer with Sam. He seems like a cool dude and is probably at good risk from the Dextra without our help.
>>
>>23397562
rub sam on the back offer to help him make one
let him borrow our notes brush our dick past his leg
>>

Infinitely*

fuck you sleep deprivation

could also put a little explosive rune on the inside of the chamber for those special occasions, like when someone prefers a glock to our finely cloned beauty

I put a Hogue wraparound on my Para 14+1 .45 1911.

>"Adequate. Consider using a more durable material or portable design in the future unless you want to be able to burn the focus for some reason. Succeeded by a wide margin; good selection of temporary foci. It looks like you have a moderate talent for Alchemy."
lets petrify the wood later then
>>
>>23397711
I know that some people want to bang Sam.

But come on, that's just going to creep him out.
>>
>>23397744
I have to agree with you here.

>>23397711
I agree with the first part of this. Not so much the second. (though making a few passes at him would not be amiss)
>>
>>23397201
We should make ourself a pelt with a lot of pockets for all the temporary foci we think of.
Matches, lighters, a but of vynil tubing, a small length of copper pipe, a steel bolt and nut, a few springs, some lead, vials of water, alcohol, acid, blood, semen (ours), a root a branch a nut a flower and some leaves, a claw, some clay, a magnifying glass, a small mirror, and bat guano.
>>
>>23397711
Brushing your genitals against someone is not how you pick up dates.
>>
>>23397782
Even if the bulge is the size of a softball?
>>
>>23397562
I thought Sam would be one of the most successful, because of his teleportation talent. Most useful to gather foci.

Does he suck at alchemy ?
>>
>>23397775

I think the Selene will need something like that in a sort of utilitarian belt.
>>
>>23397775
That would be a good idea, we should start carrying around a collection of useful all-purpose expendable foci in case we ever get in trouble while we're out and about.
>>
>>23397804
Especially if that's so.

A utility belt with pockets that are bigger on the inside.

Three pockets, one for each type of magic filled with disposable focii
One pocket filled with ammo
One pocket filled with mundane tools
One pocket filled with medical supplies and/or food
>>
>>23397711
Yeah, lets not be that blatant. Plus, we haven't really gotten Liz acclimated to our harem idea yet. Lets wait until we have her support before we go chasing tail.
>>
>>23397903
fuck yes, totally need a magical battle belt
>>
>>23397896
But those are very specific on what they could be used for.
We need focii that can be used for a variety of things so that we can be flexible in emergency situations.
>>
>>23397908
>one for each type of magic filled with disposable focii
>three

There's four schools of magic.
>>
>>23397744
I want to fuck Sam... but we we should first talk about it with Lin.

For now, let's do a study session with L&L and Sam and Hera. That will probably lead to something else, and we have a good excuse.
Like in my chinese comics.
>>
>>23397903
I approve of this idea. Max shall be the most OPERATOR mage who ever lived.
>>

Oops, you're right. I derped when I should have herped.

I think you mean Liz, Lin's response would be "sure, I like fucking things."

>>
>>23397922
Liz is okay with other people involved as long as she gets to make them submissive to Max.

I suspect Sam would probably pretty submissive by nature, from what I've seen of him so far, so he'd probably adapt to the role pretty quickly.
>>
>>23397962

>i like getting fucked.

is probably more up her alley.

also, don't brush our genitals against Sam, not on purpose anyway.

>>
I really don't want to bang Sam, since we promised Liz we'd include her, and Sam is a (potentially) soul sucking half succubus.
>>
>>23397981
Actually, last time we had this talk she was okay with us having fuckbuddies, not having additional partners. Plus, Sam and Hera might already be a couple, which we need to ascertain before making a move anyway.

They both have a crush on Petrov, so I don't think they're a couple.

I for one want to invite Hera and Sam swimming, so we can see if Hera's sexy under that diving suit.

Can we wait for the grades, gather L&L, Sam and Hera, have a study session and not rub our cocks on ANYONE?

>>

We don't know a whole lot about him, anyways. I trust in FemCOCK's ability to create a character that we can care about.
>>
>>23398072
Seems pretty out of character for Max though, she's hardly a history buff.
>>
>>23398062
>>23398049
I hate the both of you. Why do you cry bloody murder when we discuss things ?
>>

Because it's a stupid thing to discuss now considering that Femcock ended that discussion, and you're just trying to dredge up another argument.
>>
So does the Focus making focus only give a +1 to our making of foci, or do we get a bigger bonus because of multiple successes?

he probably can?

Yo Fem, consensus seems to be to wait for everybody and do a round of comforting.

Not really, if it's well-adjusted. It's like plate armor, it's not as bad as it seems.
>>

We had a disctussion in the IRC about melee weapons, actually.

We came up with brass knuckles and cestii as our best bets, with swords for the Tai Chi.
>>
>>23398245
He said he couldn't at one point.
>>
>>23398245
He can't. Incubi can only drain from women, but any intimate contact will work, even kissing. The appendage has nothing to do with it.

>>23398046
we should that, focusing on liz improvement in Alchemy and conjuration. probably Alchemy, sam seems to need it also.
>>
>>23398245
No, because Incubus powers only work on women. Buttfucking a woman would work, though. We would actually probably be safe from a Succubus, assuming they have the same gender barrier that Incubi do.
>>
>>23398403
We'd be safe for two reasons, first, gender, though that might be slightly iffy, second, we're half-incubus, our soul is just really hard to fuck with.
