The year is 2032.

An age separated from the pasts of two distinct worlds. Of perhaps only a lull after far too long a horrendous conflict. An age of daunting uncertainty.

Not that you're all that concerned. No, worrying yourself to death is about as far from your style as a succubus is from a slime.

After all, you're alive, you've got your friends.

And you finally got your frosty mitts on that fucking sword.

Plus you're currently on the horn with some catgirls. There's always that.

"A ride. We would very much enjoy a ride." You release the key to the radio and wait. It doesn't take long for the response to crackle through.

“Where are you right nyaw? We'll bring the hind.”
>>
Ivan, your werebear friend, is many things. Subtle, however, not being one of those things. Indeed, his dinner-plate sized hand on your shoulder alone would be enough to make his urgency well known. It isn't at all necessary that he shake you back and forth with enough force that you barely manage to stay on your feet.

“Hey, yeah the helicopter's great, but it's going to be a long flight if you don't have any vodka. Scratch that, even some mouthwash might work at this point.” You stutter, barely able to keep your grip on the receiver.

“...Vodka?” Comes the uncertain response.

Ivan freezes.

“What is vodka?” The catgirl on the other end's voice conveys that you may as well be speaking gibberish.

“Just go on without me.” The giant Russian relinquishes his hold on you before curling into a ball on the snow underfoot.

As Bill attempts to pull Ivan back to his feet, with little result, you gaze around and try to get your bearings. Luckily for you, the girl on the other end seems to know this place far better than you. Even after just a few of your rambling observations, she seems to know exactly where you are.

“Ah! Just wait where you are and we'll find you in a bit!”

“Eh? Really? Well I mean I guess but are you sure?”

“Please,” The girl says, cattily, “this is nyathing.”

While your friends set about in a joint endeavor to get Ivan to make the last push through sobriety, you have a chance all to yourself to sit down and assess it all. Everything you've been through just to get to this point, how lucky you've been to have almost everything go your way. The hefty sword in your hand, point in the snow, testament to your journey. The ornate blade inlaid with veins of the blue ice gem.

A sword you're going to stab yourself, possibly the only way to defeat the spreading ice core in your chest. It's pure insanity with zero scientific basis, even you know this.

But you'll be damned if you ever let science stop you.

You're far from ready to resign yourself to death.

“You alright?”

Glancing up you see Bill, your long-time Incubus friend, standing just above you on the slope.

“You kidding? I'm fucking ecstatic.” You spin the hilt of the large sword around, kicking up snow from the slope, the white powder carried by the wind.

“Scared?”

“Fucking terrified.” You nod.

“Be crazy if you weren't.” Bill nods.

For a good long moment both of you stare out at the crazy, desolate wasteland beyond the craggy mountain. The heavy radiation gear a suffering reminder of just how harsh this place is. You'll be glad to be out of here.

“You know that we're not out of this yet, right?”

You grin, shake your head, and can't hold back your laughter as you stand up and brush the snow off your suit.

“You know you've been called a downer before?”

“Once or twice.” Bill shrugs.

The broment is interrupted by something running hard into your legs and wrapping itself around you.

“I told you, I can't magic up booze!” Suyettar shouts at Ivan, who is once again on his feet.

However you, Bill, and even Tomoe all stop doing anything. The sound of the mountain and blowing of snow all that fills your senses.

“You're a witch, though, so... Why not?” Tomoe finally breaks the ice.

“I'm underage.” The little horrible witchloli sticks out her tongue as she winks and raps herself on the head lightly.

Well, I was planning to start Z&W after going through Gen-A. Seeing as this is the 'Final' thread, I'm probably going to catch up fast to be up to date when you post a new one.

“P-put me downnnn!!!!”

“Try shaking her harder.” Bill offers, and you increase the violence of your motions, Suyettar suspended by her ankles as you attempt to coax some alcohol out of her as one might shake down the nerdy lizardkid for his lunch money. The little witch is both attempting to flail and at the same time hold her dress from falling down.

“No good.” You sigh, dejectedly, and set her down on her head in the snow, “Sorry pal, looks like you'll have to endure it a while longer.”

Ivan offers no verbal response, but even though his mask you can see the shellshock in his eyes.

It really is time to get home.

Ivan back to Essa and sweet, sweet inebriation.

Bill back to... Well, you aren't sure what he and Tomoe are going to go back to. You recall that situation was slightly complicated, and something about a technical...

As for you, you just hope that Karin hasn't figured out how her Echidna magic works. Though you then realize that she could have already designed all horrible manner of vore mecha to punish you when you get back.

“Ah,” You jolt, “How the fuck are we getting back?”

Should we try to fly the dirigible into the deadlands without any notice they'd probably be shot down before they realize it. Might want to inform them about it. Probably a bad plan, but we ain't got anything else.

On another note: If any of you have HLQ or Gen-A related requests, drop them and I'll see what I can do. I'd also offer to do some art for Eight's LN, but I doubt it'd come out looking well enough.

“Hey guys, how ARE we getting back?” You ask, leaving it rather open ended.

Though before anyone can offer up a suggestion, the telltale rotor noise of a Hind-D gunship echoes across the frozen mountain.

“That's it...” You stop in a sudden moment of clarity.

Surely; you reason, if the catgirls have survived out here this long...

“They've got to have some fast vehicles. Ground ones... Yeah... Yeah we load up...” You attempt to scratch at your stubble, though the thick suit doesn't allow for that.

“Good lord he's attempting to think. Everyone get back a safe distance!” Bill gasps, scrambling back in a dramatic showing.

“Har har. You got a better idea, horn-boy?”

Bill opens his mouth, raises a finger, but immediately stops.

“No.” He admits after a moment.

“Didn't think so.”

You raise the radio again, even as you watch the Hind coming in the distance. Hopefully the pilot can manage this snowy peak...

“Hey, how many cans of tuna would it cost me to get you to cobble together maybe something like a fleet of old supertrucks or something? There doesn't happen to be a formula one garage in that bunker of yours, does there?” You release the button of the radio and wait.

It's a good long pause before you hear the reply.

“What the hell are you even talking about?”

You'll take that as a no. Well maybe no racecars, but surely they have something capable of traversing this harsh land. Preferably at high speed, though you'll settle for a hundred across rough terrain.

“I think you may be setting your bar slightly too high.” Suyettar offers.

“Shut up, you. Reading my mind is against the rules. That's a paddling.”

Unfortunately the Hind nears before you're able to find a suitable device. However that doesn't stop you from firmly securing the leash and dragging her behind you toward the rotorwash.
>>
“Yo!” The small crew inside the rear of the large gunship offer as they lower the ramp and all of you clamor aboard.

“Nyaa.” You return.

They don't appear bemused.

“Whatever. Take me to your leader.” You wave off their blank stares and take a seat on the decrepit bench bolted against the wall.

Though your vision wanders around the insides of the near-ancient Soviet helicopter, it finally falls to rest on a gaze that is boring into you. Not in a bad way, you've seen this look before...

“What?”

The smallest catgirl on the craft, opposite you, jolts and attempts to make it appear as though she had been doing anything other than staring right at you.

“She's excited.” One of the others offers, her vision shifting between the young girl and you.

“Well I know I'm basically a rockstar but I've got to be honest, I'm not touring anymo...”

“Merte says we might be leaving with you!” The little catgirl blurts out, loudly, before covering the front of her mask and looking shocked even at herself.

“Hey, don't go spreading stupid rumors.” The older one next to her elbows the little one in the shoulder.

You're well aware, now, that all of your friends are staring right at you.

“Well I mean, come on. Obviously if there are catgirls around I'd like to take them back with me, right? We can't just leave them here.” You attempt to justify your position, surprised that any of them would feel any different.

“Oh I'm not arguing that we should certainly do anything in our power to help them. I just didn't take you for a philanthropist.” Tomoe nods slightly in approval, as though you've undergone some revolutionary change.

>>

>>
“Don't lie, you just want to be known as the man who saved the catgirl race.” Bill has to lean forward to see you.

“I'm sorry, am I somehow acting crazy? I mean here I am trying to save an endangered group and you're all mocking me!” You puff as though indignant.

“...But you're right.” You finally concede, “Though that's just a perk. A PERK!”

Tomoe sniggers along with Suyettar.

“I... I'm a scoundrel, I swear!” You stand up now, mind racing to figure something out.

“See, look! I can even be mean to the little one!” You sneer, victorious.

Until you hear what sounds like purring and turn around to witness in horror as your hand, moving on its own, is petting the little catgirl's head.

BASTARD! You'd commanded him to mess with her ears, not this! He'll pay for his treachery later.

“Look, look! His hand is still moving!” Suyettar cackles, in stitches now.

You forcibly remove your traitor hand with your other and return to your seat, blocking out the outside world by shutting your eyes.

Ivan, apparently woken temporarily from his sobriety coma, sits up from a deep slouch.

“This sound... Is flying vodka wagon?!” He gazes around as if expecting a full bar, only to again slouch in disappointment when he sees that there is not in fact a vodka dispensary. It must be surprising and incredibly heartbreaking for him, as those were standard issue on more or less any werebear vehicle.

“Is this a new record for you?” Tomoe asks, apparently really concerned about him.
>>
Though actually when you stop to think about it, it may well be. For as long as you've known him, you don't think you've ever once seen Ivan stone cold sober for any real length of time. Hell, even when there was a minor push for reform in the werebear army, it only lasted a day because the collective generals got caught taking a “break” from strategy planning to attempt to race T-72s.

Which they did, in fact, do.

And might have gotten away with it, too, had several of them not managed to put their tanks through the headquarters.

Even then, it might have been explainable.

Until one of them then proceeded to push himself from the tank; stumble toward the shocked gathering of foreign diplomats, trip while attempting to offer a salute, and end up crushing the slime representing your nation's own military.

“Pretty average Thursday, to be honest.” Had been Ivan's response at the time.

Kaleshi - bloodwaffles and bloodcorn (popcorn + blood)
Seemed like fitting food.

“He threw up inside her!” You'd gawked.

“We've all been there at one time.”

“No. No we have not.”

“Eh? Well whatever.” Ivan had then returned to watching out the pillbox, bottle clutched in his hand.

Now, though, removed from his life force, Ivan offers no answer before drifting back to his prior state.

“Your friend, is he hurt?” One of the catgirls asks, though not appearing overly concerned.

“Him? Yeah, he'll be fine. Though he might not walk so well so we'll probably kinda have to carry him.”

“Like a teddy bear?” The little one asks.

“Sure. A teddy bear that weighs as much as a small car.”

While the rest of them ponder as to how, exactly, they're going to even begin to help Ivan along, you have your own thoughts to sort out. The military doesn't know your here. Nobody is supposed to be here, which is why you had to sneak in.

The way you figure, letting them know you're here is going to cause a lot more problems than it's going to alleviate. The issues of how and why you got in, why you have a giant ancient sword, and where in the fuck you found a bunch of catgirls...

Those questions all have their time and place, but this isn't likely either of those.

No. Better to be sneaky and try to just speed your way on out. Merte is bound to know some potential routes through the military lines, and once you're out of here, than you can worry about how you should go about collecting your nobel prize.

They still give those out, right? Shit, you should have probably read more than the comics in newspapers. Maybe payed a bit of attention in school.

You can't tell Karin that you had this revelation, though.

She might try to make you study or something.

That thought makes you shudder in your radiation suit.

The chopper begins to descend toward the deadlands floor and the hidden bunker that for far too long has housed this lost race of catgirls.

Damn, you think to yourself. If there's even ONE catboy left in the world, he's one lucky little shit. How would that conversation even go? “Hey, we need you to save your species. With your penis.”

“God damn, is there even enough gatorade left in the world?"

"What?" Tomoe raises an eyebrow.

You act as though you hadn't heard her. Better she not know, for you don't know if she would be able to comprehend the fate of that one man, if he exists. His life, while rewarding, will be one of hardship. Hardship to softship.

*snigger*

Ivan is at least somewhat cooperative when, at last, it comes time to get him out of the chopper. He doesn't protest at all as you and Bill roll him down the ramp and onto the sand floor below.

One of the catgirls winces noticeably, "That had to hurt."

"What?" You look between her and Ivan, "No! No he'll be fine."

"GAhhhh! No master, not the hose again!"

"You need to be clean, this is a clean zone, no radiation allowed." You shake your head and hit the water.

"Erik..." Tomoe moves as though to ask you to stop, sees your eyes turn on her, and thinks better of it.

It's Suyettar's fault, her present situation.

She was the one who sprayed you in the back of the head with a jet of ice-cold water, well before you'd had time to prepare yourself.

"You only have yourself to blame." You tell the little witch as she glares, dripping with as much anger as water.

Much to your disdain, it seems that this time, the catgirls have fashioned you some quasi-clothes out of tarp and what appears to be burlap sack. No panties this time.

Shame.

Merte, however, seems to appreciate your new attire. Or rather, the presence of any attire at all. She actually smiles as you and your friends walk in.

"Hey look at what the cats dragged in, right?" You joke, before seriousing the fuck up, placing your hands on her desk, and lowering yourself to her eye level.

"But seriously, what do you think about catboy shotas?"

"What do I what now?" She balks.

"Nevermind that for now, keep it in your pants, sheesh. Vehicles, lady. We need vehicles. Lots of them. Fast ones."

"I-I don't follow?" She trails off leaving it as more a question than statement.

You glance around at all these fine catgirls and scream internally at the injustice of the world. Though perhaps it would be rude of you to complain, as you've certainly had your share of fortune.

"Some fastmovers, Merte. Enough of them to pack all your girls into. We're busting out of this here deadlands, see? Going to hightail it back to civilization and hopefully give the last catboy on this planet the greatest gift in the history of ever."

The head catgirl tilts her head, ears perched inquisitively, "I still don't know what you're talking about. I mean we have some vehicles but..."

"Gods damn it, if there is a catboy out there, if he is a little shit I will personally extinct the species by offing him for being undeserving... You three... Black, Orange, and Grey."

The three catgirls each point to themselves.

"Yeah, you three. C'mon, let's go. Hustle hustle! You're going to help me get whatever we can rolling."

"But all we have are some old UAZ-469's..."

"Are those fast?" You ask, unsure.

"They have 75 horsepower."

"When we get out of here I'm personally looking up my god of transportation and making damn sure he never gets worshipped again." You groan.

Yeah, but is that 50 mph over rough terrain? I think the Deadlands definitely count as "rough terrain".
How do the UAZ's compare with the vehicles Erik saw the military goons in earlier? Can they out run them over the rough spots?

Whatever happened to the Walrus fellow that brought us here in the first place?
>>
>>23245884

>>
>>23245917
UAZ's are like knock off jeeps. They aren't going to be worth shit mate, compared to modern military vehicles.
>>
As if 75 horsepower wasn't bad enough, the vehicles, at this point, are nearing in on a hundred.

Having apparently mostly fallen out of use, they are in incredibly sad shape. Flat tires, hard tires, missing hoses, engines seized, nothing in the way of fluids. The list goes on and on. Even the three catgirls who you had lead you here appear less cheerful when they see the state of the UAZ's.

Where's a big Minotaur when you need him... Jimbo would be visibly salivating over such an opportunity. He might at least make something of them.

"Hey, you! Don't touch!" A sharp voice cracks through the air as you reach out to mess with an engine.

Out of instinct you pull back. Karin doesn't let you touch things, either. Something about a china in a bull shop or something. You don't usually listen because her chest becomes very bouncing and interesting any time she berates you.

"Who are you?" You ask the catgirl who drops down from a railing to fold her arms and stare. She's wearing greasy overalls and has what appear to be flecks of oil in her otherwise white hair. There's even a spot on her left glasses lens.

"Me? I'm the god emperor of the world outside the deadlands."

"...Even if that were true, you still don't go touching my vehicles." She scowls even harder.
>>
"Your vehicles? Well maybe the need wouldn't be there if these could, in fact, be called vehicles. This is a sorry, sad pile of scrap metal! I need working stuff! Stuff that can outrun what the actual military has! These aren't going to do that!"

The bespectacled catgirl gives you a "no shit, sherlock" look, before pointing toward the far end of the bunker, where a bunch of crates lie under tarps.

"Well you're certainly welcome to dig through the spare parts vehicles, I'd suggest, instead, that we actually go assess the working models."

Distress turns to maybe even calmness when you see that there are fifteen running vehicles.

Doubt turns to confidence when you see that they all appear to be souped up.

And when you read the words "Emergency Rocket Booster. Caution: Do NOT Stand Behind"...

"What's going on in your pants?" The gearhead catgirl asks, adjusting her glasses for a better look.

After doing your best to assure her that the thing in your pants is not important at the moment, and no, it is not a present danger to your health, you get to work.

The catgirls are terrified, yet elated at the same time. Having not seen the outside world in many years, they are very uncertain as to what to expect. You have to repeat, every few minutes, it seems, that the werewolves are not going to come after them.

"You said you wanted the guns left on, right?" The greasecatgirl, Sanura, asks as she pops up from inside one of the vehicles.

"While I certainly want to avoid any kind of engagement with the military, at the same time, I do NOT want to be rolling around here without at least some kind of heavy ordinance. You sure those rocket tubes are loaded?"

"Duh. I did it myself." To illustrate the point, she bangs a spanner on the rocket pod that was intended to be mounted to a gunship. It seems that she got creative from all the years of boredom. Two of the UAZs are sporting the rocket pods, while the others have a mishmash of PKMs and DSHKs

"And they'll fire?"

"Tested them, too."

"And you can aim them?"

"Eh, kinda."

"Fair enough." You assent.

Every few minutes you pause to look at Merte, who has now more than ever, demonstrated as to why she's been the leader for so long. She's directing catgirls every which way. Loading ammo, stowing supplies, checking and double checking lists. Fifteen trucks, somewhere around sixty or so catgirls. It's going to be a tight squeeze, but it will have to do.
>>
Isn't Mad Jack still out there somewhere?
>>
I second the retaining of the mechanic catgirl. She's good at machines, so Jimbo will love her. She has a tail and is a mythical species, so Karin will love her. She's a fucking catgirl, so of course we'll love her. EVERYBODY WINS.

And while it was a tough decision, you've elected to let Merte be the one to guide the convoy. It's not that you don' t know your way around, you are a man, after all. But you figure she'd just like to do it. Yeah. Yeah you'll go with that.

Eventually you start just getting in the way of the work. It's apparent that they have the plan down, so you take the opportunity to charge the radio Karin gave you, and switch it on.

Swallowing hard, you throw caution to the wind.

"Hey babe, what's up?" You offer with a small laugh, as though you were just calling her on a break from work or something.

"Ara? What's a young boy like you doing, calling an old snake like me?"

"...Amber?"

"Are you the reason my daughter's passed out on her desk with all these empty coffee mugs and bags under her eyes?"

"...What's that? Sorry, lots of static on my end." You desperately look around for some foil to crinkle, but find none.

"That's no good, Erik. You know better than to make a girl wait so long."

"I know, I'm about ready to get out of here, though. Got the plan rolling and I'm... Wait... We aren't talking about the same thing here, are we..."

You hear a sound that must be Amber bringing the mic up closer to her face and when she talks again, you guess it's into her own hand to try to not wake Karin.

"When are you going to spill your seed and give me a grandchild?"

"Not really a good time to talk about this, Amber."
>>
>>23246809
She's persistent, if nothing else. She'd be at home in a Bromont thread, with her obsession.
>>
>>23246869

"I'm not hearing what I want to hear, Erik."

"Gotta cure my ice cancer, first, Amber."

"There was never any doubt that you will, but every day you wait is just another day you make ME wait. Be a man and knock her up alrea..."

There's the stir of commotion in the background, now, and you think you hear a faint "Mom?"

"Oh! Karin, honey, you're awake? I was just telling Erik here how naughty he is for not raising you on this contraption sooner. He's been a bad, bad boy, Karin. You should really tie him down to the bed and punish him. Preferably for a few hours, and unrelated but what time of the month is..."

"GET OUT OF MY ROOM!"

"Now honestly, dear! I'm just trying to..."

There's the sounds of a struggle and a door slamming.

"So your mom's doing well, then?" You ask after a very awkward silence presides for far longer than you'd like.

"Damn it, Erik. You really know how to mess with a girl's heart, don't you?"

"Sorry, but I got captured by some kind of ancient ice witch lurking inside the mountain. "Now I'm in the catgirl underground bunker getting a bunch of old Soviet jeeps ready to try to bust the fuck out of the deadzone all while carting something like sixty catgirls out of here. Speaking of catgirls I was wondering if we could build them some sort of enclave behind your woods, there. I mean I..."

"Would you shut up for a moment!"

"Sorry, go ahead."

"So putting everything else aside, you found the sword?"

"Yes. So have your dad fire up that big old airbag of his and come pick us up, I'll relay the coordinates to you when we figure them out ourselves." You pause.

IT'S TIME
>>
With a fully charged battery and fifteen loaded vehicles all ready to rock and fucking roll the hell on out of this damnable wasteland, the excitement in your gut is rising to uncontainable levels.

Which makes the six catgirls packed into your small UAZ just as uncomfortable as you, as they cram on in and you just kind of... Vibrate, in anticipation.

Merte already picked a route that she thought would best evade military patrols, and the convoy is just about set to start rolling. You're so excited that you pay no mind to the G3 cinched too hard against your chest. Or the sword hilt poking you in one side. Or the big fat cat tats practically against your neck.

Some days, it's just great to be alive.

Two arms slide around your head and attempt to stifle your quivering.

"Stop. You keep that up and you'll shake this thing apart.

"Hey! They're much more solidly built than that!" Sanura huffs from the vehicle next to yours.

"Make sure to keep up, Erik! We'll be navigating some old mining tunnels before we make it out to the surface. Should take us underneath some of the patrol routes. We don't know what's down there, could be lots of debris, so don't fall behind!" Merte calls over the radio.

"Iceman to Catnip actual, solid copy." You reply, and fire up the engine in synch with the fourteen other vehicles.

"Haha. Man I am so fucking stoked! UNF!" You drum your hands on the steering wheel before shifting the old Soviet gearbox into first.

"I mean, an underground mining tunnel? Please, I just spent way too long in ancient frozen ice caverns full of unspeakable horrors that I then leashed. I am ready for fucking anything!"

You feather the gas, release the clutch, and get rolling.

"No siree, there ain't shit in these tunnels that can phase me."

Surprisingly, the old UAZ handles better than you thought it would. Sanura seems as good a mechanic as her ego wanted you to believe. The steering is tight, the engine purrs like a loud combustion-powered catgirl. You even elected to take one of the ones with the rocket pod atop, which is manned by the little catgirl from the Hind, as she's small enough to stand beside it and access the fire controls.

True to her word, Merte begins to lead the convoy through a set of doors that you hadn't gone through before. She turns down a rather impressive ramp which drops a good fifty feet or more. With you just behind her in the second vehicle, you get a good look at the tunnel with a lot of collective light from all the trailing vehicles when another turn takes you through a final layer of ten-feet thick concrete that had been painstakingly blown out, and recently, it seems.

It's astoundingly huge, this tunnel. The ceiling vaults upward and all manner of old drill and other heavy equipment lie scattered about.

Wait a second.

"Catnip actual this is Iceman. Interrogative, why was this sealed off from the bunker by ten feet of concrete? You guys blew that wall, correct?"
>>
>>23247840
Welp, it wouldn't be a Papa-N thread if we didn't run into vore endings at least once.
>>
"We did. The original bunker plans we had alluded to this tunnel so we checked it out, hoping for supplies. It was surprisingly bare, and not worth all the semtex we had to expend to access it. Well, until now, that is."

Well, you figure maybe the builders just figured they'd make it extra bomb-proof. Or something, anyways. You're not much of an architect. Your toothpick bridge in school was more epoxy than toothpick. Did you pass that class? You figure it doesn't much matter now.

The drive, however, is actually surprisingly smooth. The tires get good purchase on the packed rock below and you're actually keeping up a fairly good speed. Well, good speed for an old UAZ, you imagine. There are just bumps every now and then, like a speedbump almost. They are jarring and don't take long to really get on your nerves as they smack your rifle into your chest and bounce you in your seat.

"What are those?" You finally ask, frustrated when one such large bump knocks the little catgirl's butt down onto your head. Were you not packed into radiation gear it may have been pleasurable. As is, it felt more like a sandbag smacking your own suit into your noggin.

Peering down into the darkness is difficult, especially with the way the lights play across the bedrock walls of the mining tunnel. However you're fairly certain what you're seeing.

Well, maybe the deadlands used to be a forest before all the nukes. Thinking about it, you really aren't 100% sure. History was never your strong suit.

Though Karin would tell you that class in general was never your strong suit.

Whatever, you've got a long way to go and you're not going to worry about it.

Or you weren't, until you have to scream "DUCK!" and grab the littlest catgirl down into your lap before a root that sprang up from the ground takes the top bars completely off your vehicle.

"Oh shiiiiittttttt!!!!" You slam the brakes as another one attempts to rise up to bumper-level, and you barely manage to swing around it.

"Erik, something's going on, I think..."

"I know, Catnip actual! Hit the gas, we need to get the fuck out of here!"

Hey guys, if you do this you're practically guaranteed a natural 1.
>>
The tires dig hard as you push the little old jeep as hard as she can even handle now. You're so close to home, the idea of roots suddenly...

"Hurk?!" You gasp as the vine drops from the ceiling, wraps itself around your torso, and forcibly rips you from the seat.

Seatbelts never really were your style.

Despite your cursing and struggling, you can't free the G3 from your chest, as it's held in by the powerful and thick vine. Even the knife from your boot does nothing to make more than a tiny surface cut. Whatever this thing is, it's going to take you up, apparently. All you can do is hold on for the ride.

As you near the ceiling, the vine begins to quickly wrap you up, until you're bound from head to toe.

And then it breaks through the rock above.

With impressive force, you're flung up onto the surface, eyes strained against the sudden sunlight.

As it were, you're not sure you'd like to see what grabbed you in the first place.

Whatever it is, it has you, and there doesn't seem to be any chance of escape.

“Whatever you want, I'll double it, just let me get my awwww shit...”

You stare up, hard, at the...

Wait, she isn't exactly huge.

The alraune is a lighter sort, not the kind you're used to seeing. Strange patterns of leaves run across her almost translucent green skin. She would look elegant, gentle, even beautiful. Full breasts that end in alluring pink nipples, smooth dark-green hair that falls even past her feet, suspended in the air by her own vines.

If you weren't currently caught up in her vines and this was a few months ago, you'd probably be asking if she wanted to go back to your place for some “fertilizer.”

But hey, alraune's aren't usually know for violence. You probably just disturbed her beauty sleep or something, right? You've been with them before, and they're usually pretty damn gentle. You weren't sure the first time you tried one, but a petal-job actually feels pretty great.

“H-hey!” You attempt to reason with her, “Sorry for the noise but we're actually on the way out. You let us go and you won't have to worry about us at all, really!”

Tossing on your best dopey-niceguy-who-made-a-mistake grin you hope your good looks might win out here. If she can see them through your mask, anyways.

You keep sputtering but notice something. Her face...

This isn't an alraune.

This isn't an alraune at all.

Rather, as the appendage large enough to fit a whole Humvee rises up to your level, you realize that this is something much, much different.

And likely far more lethal.

“Hey so we can totally talk about this, right?”

The part that appears outwardly to be the alraune begins to retract and actually distort back into some sort of bud-like appendage as the large flytrap-esque one finally comes to eye-level.

“No?”

The large appendage opens and a pungent, sweet odor wafts over you. By itself, not too bad.

Not so great when you spot all the indigestible items currently still residing inside. Rusted guns, plastic boots, helmets...

Despite your flailing, kicking, teeth-gnashing struggle, it's more or less all for naught. The vines don't even release you as they place you inside the pink flesh of the appendage, which is spongy to the touch as it presses against you.

The vines even hold on as the trap begins to shut and as the outside light fades through the bars of the teeth.

At last, however, they slither off you and retract back to outside.

Perfect, now you just have to grab your rifle and it's rock and roll time...

Or it would be, if the insides of the plant monster hadn't suddenly compressed, hard. You're forced down immediately under the strong pressure.
>>
Rolled 8

>>23249154
SHE COMES....
>>
Now you see why the insides are spongy. They make it impossible to move, let alone put up any resistance. No, you're stuck here, inside the beast.

The creature gets to work almost immediately and, quite suddenly, the pink flesh around you begins to turn more liquid, sticky. It flows around you, coating you, binding to you. As it does, you're compressed further and further. There's still light inside the beast from the sun shining through, but that suddenly starts to change. Your world is growing darker, but it isn't your mind failing.

No, you realize with horror.

The creature isn't eating you for nourishment.

It's turning you into food for a seed.

The disturbing process takes only minutes, until you're bound tight in a fetal position. Something sharp has punctured your suit and upper arm, and judging by the length of time that's passed, you gather that it must be somehow keeping you alive.

However, you can't breathe. Despite your brain's very clear abundance of oxygen, your lungs aren't feeling it, and are screaming out for you to breathe. Which you find is not something you can do, jaw under so much pressure you couldn't open it even if there were air inside this tight little chamber to breathe.

It dawns on you, terribly, that you might very well still be alive when the seed is planted and the baby inside turns to you for food as it begins to sprout.

It doesn't happen for a long period of time. How long, you're unsure. But when you finally feel your insides being sucked out as liquid, the finality of death at last is a long awaited bliss from the torture of this prison.

You floor the gas and push through even as vines and roots streak from seemingly every angle, each attempting to either dislodge you from your seat, or to turn the car over whole.

“Open up on those fucking roots!” You shout over the radio, and the catgirls don't need to be told twice.

As though a concussive thunderstorm, the heavy guns open up all around you. Powerful rounds slam into dirt, bounce off rock, spark against stone. However despite the misses, there are plenty of bullets that find their target.

You watch as a massive root to the right in front of you is at first shredded by a DSHK before being nigh obliterated as a rocket streams out from a few vehicles back, showering your vehicle in bark-like debris that still continues to writhe even as you grab it off you to chuck it aside.

“Don't gawk, keep pushing through!” Merte commands, gassing her own UAZ even harder herself.

You yourself grab a krinkov from one of the catgirls behind you just in time to open up on a descending vine with some hot 7.62x39.

“Fuck caves!” Jerking the wheel left barely gets you out of the path of yet another root. “I fucking hate caves!”

“Fire a rocket, 12 o'clock, clear us a path!” Barks the head catgirl.

A rocket goes sailing over your head, illuminating the entirety of the cave in a harsh, white light for only a second. It slams into a tangle of vines which are reduced to ribbons just in time for the lead vehicle to plow on through.
>>
“We're almost there, can you see the door?”

You look hard, straining to see despite all the muzzleflashes which make that incredibly difficult.

But you can see it now, the heavy steel doors that are still retracting apart.
When Merte slows down slightly, you actually ram into the back of her UAZ and push it forward, your own foot having long since pushed the pedal completely to the floor.

Tires screaming, catgirls screaming, screaming yourself, you fly out into the bright desolate wasteland beyond.

Only when you're a good two hundred yards out into the open does Merte again cue her radio.

“All vehicles, check in. Is everyone accounted for?”

A flurry of panicked voices all follow, but after a few minutes, it turns out that everyone made it through.

“I am never fucking going underground again. Never. Never fucking ever.” You can't even loosen your white-knuckle grip on the steering wheel.

“Hey mister, what's wrong with your pants?” The littlest catgirl asks, her own voice cracked and quite shaken. You realize only now that she's still on your lap from when you'd grabbed her down to avoid being sheared off with the top.

“That is what you call an adrenaline boner.”

“A what? Um, well, can you put it away? It's kinda uncomfortable.” She frowns and attempts to shift her body off of it.

I don't think I'll ever be able to look at Descartes the same ever again after spending so much time here. There's a big poster of him in one of my classrooms and every day the first thing that ever comes to my mind is "give her the dick", without fail.

“Stop squirming and ignore it, it will go away eventually...”

Thankfully the crazy deathwish route did its job in putting you far from the peering eyes of military patrols. Merte even has some kind of mountain pass mapped out. On the surface now, the techie catgirl has apparently gotten to work and cracked into the military communications.

“Does anyone know anything about some kind of mustache creature? Apparently the military is chasing him across the desert and he's riding atop the largest Mongolian deathworm any of them have ever seen while flying something called a... Union Jack? As he eats little fish from a tin?”

“Friend of mine.” You pipe up.

“Think he needs any help?” Merte asks, concerned.

“Mad Jack? No. He was already eating kippers? No, he's fine.”

The radio conversation goes quiet for a minute until the climb begins. The “mountain pass” is about as much of a pass as an ocean is a river. There is no path, there are massive boulders everywhere, the little vehicles, so heavily laden, don't like it.

Eventually, however, you reach the summit and can peer “downhill” at the next step of the journey.
“Well at least it isn't a sheer cliff face.” Bill muses.

“No, that would be safer.” Tomoe responds, “This is crazy.”
>>
>>23249842

You know you HAVE to deface that poster.

Because the Descartes is no longer just confined to 4chan.

Yes.
Do it. Do it for the Dick.
>>
So long has it taken to scale the “pass”, that the sun has already set in the sky. Normally this would hinder your vision, but you're expecting to see something very telltale on the horizon. Even against the starry sky, Jimbo's dirigible should show up as a large inky blot. If he has the lights on, it should be as obvious as a slime girl in a swimming pool.

“Might as well make our way down, hit the flatgrounds and speed out as far as we can.” Bill nods his head toward Ivan, “Otherwise he'll start roaming in a hunt for booze. As if there's any chance that there's some up here.”

“He doing alright?” You ask one of the catgirls from his vehicle.

“I don't know, we tried to get him to drink water but he wanted to take it in shots while toasting the motherland.” She shakes her head.

Bill grimaces, “It's worse than I thought.”

The climb down is as bad as you'd imagined it would be. For most of the way you're relying on winches just to keep from tumbling down, tumbling down.

It's well past midnight by the time the last car makes the descent. Not one amongst you who isn't worn out afterward. The catgirls do their best to provide with rations and chatter, but even that dies down quickly. You're not hungry, you're not tired, you're simply exhausted. The constant stress, the physical exertion, it all seems to hit now.

But just as a foul mood looms, ready to move in, you spot it.

A light.

A blinking light.

On the horizon, floating in the sky.

You aren't actually the first one aboard the lift up into the airship. You send up the catgirls first, and your friends second.

“Ah, guess that makes me last, actually.” You smirk as you board the cylinder suspended by heavy, braided steel cable.

The ride upwards is painful, as the wind knocks the cylinder around and you inside it. It feels as though you've stepped aboard a windchime, even the noise is terrible and sharp, stinging your ears.

Once out of the swinging metal coffin, you walk through a rather well setup series of chemical baths, stripping off your gear as instructed along the way. Machines test you and eventually you hose down with some hot water, which you stand under for a good few moments, basking in the heat. Though well aware that you're the last one, you pull yourself away before getting too comfortable.

Karin is on you before you can even set a foot down outside. You have enough time to notice that she seems to have her tail, rather than her legs; before she's bound you tightly, slapped you hard across the cheek, and jammed her mouth against yours so hard that your foreheads clunk together painfully. This isn't enough to dissuade her, however.

As she pulls away, she grabs your head between her hands and shouts an almost incomprehensible string of panicked, rambling words, before she just gives up and squeezes you even tighter.

“You're an asshole.” She sighs, and you can actually feel the tension lifting from her.

“The biggest.”
>>
“No more crazy adventures.”

“Can't promise that. But I guess I can try. Maybe.”

“Looks like you made it.” Jimbo starts as he turns the corner Karin had dragged you behind, before thinking better of it and backing slowly away from the two of you.

Eventually you persuade her into returning to the group so you can at least figure out what's going on. Though she insists on keeping the end of her tail wrapped firmly around your right arm.

The catgirls had more or less stolen center show until you'd held up the ancient Frost sword for your dad to see.

“So that's it, eh?” He marvels, running a thumb along the edge of the blade and gazing upon it in adoration.

“That's it.” You affirm, well aware now exactly what you're supposed to do with it.

WAIT.
We can't stab ourselves just yet! While we're in recovery we CAN'T GET LAID!
We need to have a marathon session with our girl before we get to shanking the cancer out of us.
>>
"Might as well do it now, eh?"

You raise the sword, high, blade facing inward toward your chest, right toward the ice core.

"Here goes nothing."

You plunge the sword in.

And die of blood loss five seconds later.

The end.

The flight back, compared to everything else, is uneventful. The highlight of the excitement being when Essa comes flying out onto the deck, clumsily slamming into Ivan, before jamming the end of a vodka bottle into his mouth. Even you admit it's touching in some strange sort of way as Ivan seems to more or less come back to life, realize what's going on, toss the empty bottle aside, and push Essa against the side rail to the excited gasps of the collective catgirls.

Bill glances over at Tomoe, who appears horrified but unable to look away from what she will later describe as “the lewdest thing I'd ever witnessed.”

Lucky for her that you and Karin found a secluded room where nobody would be watching, then.

Though, unbeknownst to you, Amber watched the whole three hour long event from a computer terminal while swirling a glass of wine, a smirk planted firmly across her features as she sees the lack of protection.

It's a day and a half later when, under the careful guise of a large collective of doctors, the “cure” is applied. You'd expected it to be painful, which it was, incredibly. However upon withdrawal of the blade, the crystals inlaid were glowing a vibrant blue, and there was no visible wound left behind. A series of rapid tests later and it was confirmed that, indeed, the ice core was gone.
>>
This confirmation hailed as stunning and cause of more than one shout of “SCIENCE!” by an incredibly over-excited doctor. Not an hour later and Frosts from across the world were beginning journeys to see for themselves the miracle cure, which apparently nobody described truthfully, as not a one looked at ease upon seeing the sword.

This would lead you to later being quite wealthy, though not from charging the afflicted. It also made you chasing a terrified Frost through the town streets while screaming “I'M NOT A DOCTOR BUT I SWEAR THIS WILL CURE YOU!” a rather common sight.

The catgirls, with plenty of help, built themselves quite a nice enclave right near Karin's family home. It took several months, but eventually Rick was able to track down a young catboy. So suspicious was the young man that, until after the marathon event that was the first night, he truly believed he was being duped and or was caught in a succubus spell. When next you saw him a week later, he was quite happy with life, though appeared quite weak-kneed and worn out.

Essa and Ivan continued to live together inside his rather ideal home. Ivan, would, having at last perfected his loving craft, quickly rise to being a baron of premium vodka. Essa becoming a leader in the field of pre-event studies. Quite bizarrely to you, Amber seemed to have switched targets and was now concentrating on attempting to get a baby inside Essa.

A few short weeks later and you discovered why.

Oops.

Well, you guess you'll be seeing what a Minotauros/Echidna/Frost/Medusa looks like in something like nine months. Maybe longer, as nobody seems quite sure of the term length. You and Karin plan to name the baby after either the Frost King of ancient times, or something else if its a girl. You've forgotten as you've already purchase the racecar bed, youth football, and parts for a training jetbike.

Bill and Tomoe eventually wound up hitched. Bill making sure to flaunt his 100% access to fluffy tails at any opportunity given. Both of them appearing worried when finding a list of Amber's that had your and Karin's names crossed off, Ivan and Essa's circled, and a big “3rd target” next to Bill and Tomoes.

Despite the marriage, Nadine still is very shy around Bill.

Edda and Saga would later go on to be the protagonists of their own adventure after happening upon a time portal back into the world before the event of Dec 21, 2012.

Your intuition, always correct, was certainly on-course as your daughter seems to be taking quite nicely to the racecar bed and gums enthusiastically at the football. Karin insists that you wait until she's at least eight or nine to let her have the small jetbike.

Suyettar, always mysterious, would disappear along with Edda and Saga. Though not without leaving behind a small gift for Nadine, which appears to be a blue egg that is completely impervious to damage and the words "not yet" the last words that anyone heard the little witch say.
