Perspective Switch: Gestalt - Far Past - Year - 0000 Before Darkwyrm
...

It was another sunny day. Another sunny day in the Lunarian City of Iam. The neighboring city of Memoria, the main center for information storage, was just a few kilometers away. Further away was Atrum, which was a bit further behind than most cities. They still didn't use automobiles and they still farmed. Well, if they wanted to keep that lifestyle, it was up to them.

"Ahhhh." the sun greets you with its violent rays. You close the curtains and shake your head from side to side. You grumble inwardly, turn around, and make your way down stairs. You turn on the television to try and enjoy something, but there's nothing on. Reports about the new project, which your sister was apart of, was the only thing mildly interesting. "Huff." a deep sigh. Something wasn't right. It was as if something was creeping up your back, enters your ear and starts gnawing at the deepest recesses of your mind.

"No, it's nothing. Alright, maybe I can fix something to eat?"

Bike around the city, and have a short stop at the plaza.

A nice ride through the city would do you some good. See the sights, interact with the people, it'd be a nice change of pace. You turn off the TV, put toast in your mouth (with jam) and run out. You start choking on the toast, so you throw it to the side to avoid choking to death. Once you find your bike, you prop yourself up and drive off. A few moments pass, and you're already in the plaza. There are people with bags in their hands, shopping, talking to one another.

Their hair colors were gray, silver, white, purple and a rare midnight black. Lunarians didn't differ much in regards to hair color. Though, eyes? There were some with gold, purple, red, white, and even black. The reason they have the name Lunarians is because their hair is a deep white color, resembling the surface of the moon.

Another quick drive around, and you don't see anything familiar. "Hmm.."

A thought goes through your head about visiting the facility your sister is stationed at for the experiments. It's not that far from here, actually... but you still want to spend some more time riding your bike.

Killing two birds with one stone, you advance down the middle of the plaza and through an alley that leads to another road. If you take that road completely down, it'll circle through and eventually you'll end up at the facility.

The air runs through your long, white hair. You wince your blue eyes, trying to protect them from the slicing cold wind. "Mmmm... I hope she's available."

A drop off of exactly 90 degrees is head. It goes into a drop off of about 20 ft. There's a staircase beside it and a rail that goes up and across the drop off to stop people from walking off it.

You grin, trying to think of what exactly to do.

With heels against the peddles, you put force into your legs. One cycle, two, three. "Butterfly in the sky!" you perform a bunny-hop with the bike, taking yourself three foot in the air. The pegs on the bike make sparks as you grind along the top of the rail. You keep balance quite easily as the front tire looks to the heavens.

"I can go twice as high!" the space between the ground and you soon fills in. The grinding on the rail ends as the rail itself dips back into the ground, marking the end of the staircase. "Take a look! I can go anywhere!" you lift off the bar.

"I can be anything!" the second tire hits the ground, following the second. You press onward, getting enough speed. There's another drop off. You lift the bike into the air, clearing it on the first try. Another drop off, you clear it again. That was the last one! As you continue to drive toward the facility, you get closer to the loop and a straightaway.

The loop was too tempting to even think about taking the mundane way. The pedals move again, the bike picks up speed, you switch gears. There's no time to think, you just move! The dip in the road allows you to pick up more speed. Adrenaline begins pumping, you're too excited to even think about failing. "ONE, TWO, THREE!" you keep the bike going with one, last violent push. "Alright, good." you lift your hands up from the bars, doing an obvious No Hander. The pedals keep moving, even without your feet touching them.

You literally stand with both feet on the seat, and 'surf' while the bike continues to move. You keep your balance, you lean backward to let the bike pick up speed. Then, right there, there's an unfinished road SIGN. Well, no big deal. "Well poop." you fall back onto the seat, grip the handle bars tightly. The pressure placed on the pedals stops them from moving any further. You push, push and push! There was a large gap, which probably led into the sewers. SCREW DANGER. "Let's do IT!" speed picks up. You lift the bike into the air.

The wall to your right has a nice foot hold. You extend your leg out, placing the front of your foot inside. The amount of force used flings you to the other side. You wall jump again, propelling yourself diagonally to the other side once more. This time, there's a pipe that's disconnected that leads to the other side, to glory. With no time to have second thoughts, you pull backward to let the back tire's peg latch onto the disjointed metal pipe. Sparks fly, the noise of metal grinding hits your ears, and you're on the other side.

You continue to pedal onto the facility afterward.

You pull on the backbreaks to slow down to get a closer look at your surroundings. It was a nice thing to change the pace, after all. Your legs were just now starting to burn. With some light pedaling, you gain enough speed for a round trip. There was no one in the garden, not even the GARDENERS that are usually looming around this evening.

Well, that was particularly strange. "Hey, anyone around?" you yell anyone. No one answers you. Alright, this was starting to get weird. No one in the garden, but there are cars parked out front...

"Huh."

"Alright, let's go inside." you sigh, mumbling to yourself as you move into the facility. It has automated sliding doors, so that's always convenient. You take different hallways using your 'access code' which was given to you a few years back when you were only fourteen. "HEY!" you yell into the empty halls, only getting your own echo.

"Is anyone around?... Why is it so desert-"

A loud buzzer goes off. Lights flash red, and a large CRASH goes off.

It was audible.

A loud scream. A loud scream that leaves a gash in your heart. You know who that is. "Cassandra?"

You mutter her name.

The wave of black ripples out from the center of the building. It travels along the floor.

Coming straight at you.

The bike begins to move without your say so. Your legs move, you high-tail it out of there before that black wave can even touch you. As fast as you go, you go faster than before. Surviving. That's what you have to do. It was so sudden, that wave out of nowhere and your sister's scream.

Now you can't hear.

Your surroundings go white. Everything from the outside world vanishes. You're assaulted with apparitions of the past. Your sister's memories.

She's so scared, so lonely, so dark.

It's dark.
It's so very dark.
There's no pain.
You can't feel your legs because you don't have legs so legs can't move if you don't have them. It's so dark.
So so so so so dark.
No pain no suffering nothing just nothingness nothing white veils curtains.

Cassandra screams but you don't care. You have to fight this and make it to where she is.

Your body returns.

Feeling returns.

You stare down into the darkness of a corridor right in front of you.

The dark wave continues to surge outward, yet you stand. The clothes you're wearing smash into you as they violently flutter trying to resist the oncoming wave of deep black.

"GGhhh..." the floor feels so rough. The tiles were thrust and upheaved, so they're sticking out like spikes. That didn't matter. Nothing else mattered. Your legs were bleeding because you rolled onto the ground as that white spell came over you. "Nothing else m-matters!"

Damn them. Damn them for letting this happen. Damn them for whatever is going on! "It's... all YOUR FAULT!" you breathe in and out heavily as you walk forward. The wind violently tugs at you, trying to push you out of the building but you won't let it. There's a goal you have to accomplish. Nothing. NOTHING will stop you.

Another fluctuation of energy as you move down the hall. It doesn't move you an inch. Your clothes start to fly off. There are dark blobs in front of you. They convulse on the ground, as if trying to form a human shape, but you don't care. Your mind is too determined to give into your fears.

Another surge of energy press you back. It was like an invisible wall, barring you from entry. The winds are so strong, they begin to slice through the walls nearby. Your body still moves forward, regardless!

"Aaaaaaaaaaahhh!!" the wind knocks you further back with more force. It's five tons of pressure that blasts straight into you, yet you don't move. A faint, white mist lifts from your finger tips as if to protect you. You ignore it, progressing forward. The final corridor. The entrance is blown completely to bits.

You move forward, and finally the offender of all of this comes into view.

A large dragon with six arms. No, it's humanoid. It's a metal demon with fangs that has large legs that extend downward. A black spiral circles around it as if engulfing your sister. Cassandra sits there in the cockpit, screaming in pain.

So this is there answer to Stavros and Heevah. This is their answer. An Artifical God that uses your sister, Cassandra, as a host. A host to bring about prosperity to the already prosperous Lunarians. Something unneeded. It was an eyesore. The Lunarians are doing nothing more but crying for attention. A cry for attention. Your sister was used for that. For something like that. "YOU USED U-US FOR S-SOMETHING LIKE T-THAT!?" your speech begins to fail. No matter, you don't need it. "GGHhh..." you grit your teeth and run forward with all of the strength in your legs that you can.

"RAAAAAAOOOOOOO!" the Artificial God Herious roars in pain. one of its arms flies straight down as it attempts smash straight into you.

"OUT OF THE WAY!" with no hope, with nothing to lose, you swing your arm forward to smash into the metal dragon's own. Your fist collides with the mecha's hand, forcing it to lash back like a whip. You continue your run forward and leap up into the air, onto the monster's knee cap. Another leap, onto its lower waist. Another leap, and you grasp onto the edge of something like a breastplate.

The ripples are too much. The grip on the breastplate begins to wain. Your energy starts to leave your body but you can't give up. After coming this far through the dark, whirling void of energy, it can't end here. Herious lashes down with its fist again. "HAH!" you move to the side, avoiding its punch. However, your right arm suffers. It's completely crushed under the pressure of the Artificial God's punch.

A loud, audible snap blasts through the room, but it's drowned in the sound of the vortex surrounding you. Herious roars, head shaking right and left in pain. Blood explodes out of your right arm as the god pulls its hand back. It dangles there, tendons, muscle and bone all visible. You simply smile, looking back up to your sister.

The pain keeps you awake, it keeps you from falling.

Again, your grip begins to falter. The God Herious strikes again, using its same arm once more to squash you against its breast plate. However, this time-

"FUCK OFF!" you place your legs against the breast plate and stand up horizontally to confront the obviously bigger foe. The God's fist, now pressed against your palm, is what keeps you from falling. "HAaaaaaah!" you press off of the monster, forcing its arm to budge. It flies backward, into the air but then it comes smashing down.

Crack.

It sends you spinning in a corkscrew at mach speed, straight into the ground. The floor forms a crater where you impact. "Hnnghh... Cassandra... I..." you reach a hand into the air, trying to grasp her.

Trying to touch her just once.

Your eyes close.

Too much blood is lost. Your energy level is low. There's nothing left.

Blood drips down from your forehead. The impact from the fall bust your skull right open, but it didn't matter. The pain meant you were alive, able to breathe and to move. You weren't dead yet. You won't die. A goal was to be accomplished. "You think.. you c-can... beat me w-with THAT?" you cough up blood. "Nothing... will STOP ME!" the skin on your leg is torn like a cloth, it hangs down to your knee. Blood gushes from the open wound, revealing the muscle beneath. This is the condition of both your legs.

In spite of that.

In spite of everything that's happened, you keep running. Your mind is pushing for you to stop, it's pushing for you to die at the hands of the Artifical God but your heart screams. Screams for your sister. Screams for her warmth. For her love. "OUT OF THE G-GODDAMN WAY!" you raise your good arm up into the air. Herious punches you once more. But this time, the white energy from before circles around your fist, allowing you to meet Herious head on. The fist crackes. The Artificial God is actually hurt. Herious draws its hand back, but not before you leap into the air and land on top of its arm. A violent rush, a suicide charge. "Cassandra, I'M COMING! WAIT FOR ME!" a leap from the arm, you twirl in the air and bring your hand down onto the cockpit.

"OUT OF THE WAY!!!!!!!!" with one powerful swing of your arm, the cockpit shatters.

In the whiteness of it all, in the void. You embrace your sister once more.

"I'm finally... here."

With that, the energy surrounding both you and Cassandra rips outward, into the heavens and around the globe...

The Darkwyrm had spread.

The world has fallen.
