"Yeah.... well, mostly sure. I mean, it was only for a second but I'm pretty good with faces......"

You nod "I've been here for about five minutes trying to fix that security panel." He gestures to a mounted wall unit. "Just finished closing everything back up when you almost slammed into me. "Which is why Liz is going to help me remove the temptation now." He responds easily as he dishes it out for you and hands you the plate along with a can of soda. "There ya go, sweet. Anything else, just holler."

"Thanks John." you sit down with Abby and begin to eat. After a minute she breaks the silence.

"Hey, Liz? You got a minute to talk?"

Abby, I have enough self awareness to know that when it comes to reading people, inter-personal relationships everything just flies over my head.

I like you and the reason I don't know if it's anything more than that is because until recently I didn't even know this sort of thing existed.

I want to see where it goes, I really do, but I am going to need you to help me with this as I am walking through a maze blindfolded, metaphorically speaking.

That metaphor kind of works, we'll get to the end of it eventually and take every single wrong turn and hit every dead end and double back before doing so.

Or she can gently lead us through the maze and nudge us in the right direction, let us know when something she says is supposed to be innuendo.
>>
>I'm not sure what's winning.

>>
>>20029580
Ask what she means is winning, though because I wrote it I kind of like

which has similar elements to "ask what she means" as they both want her to clarify her statements as we're as dense as a block of concrete.
>>
>>20029711
I viewed it as a different option because it doesn't so much ask what she means as, ask for clarification on this crazy human emotion called love.

I'm bias about that because I sorta wanted to get to know Will before we picked a romance. So, disregard my opinion when needed.
>>
>I'm gonna go with 'asking what she means' since that seems to be the closest to a consensus right now.
>>
"What do you mean?"

"I mean... well.... the whole 'relationships' thing."

"Oh. To be totally honest, I haven't really thought about it."

"....Not at all?"

"Hey, I don't mean that like I'm avoiding it or something. I just... there's a lot going on, and honestly I'm not sure what to think about it."

".... Because you're not sure how to handle the whole 'lesbian' thing?"

"Because I'm not sure hope to handle the whole 'relationship' thing."

She seems confused. "Why? not sure how to juggle that with everything else you've got going on?"

"That and I've never been in a relationship like that."

"....With a girl?"

"Sure, but I was thinking more of a general 'romance' thing."

You hear a clang off to the side as John drops the pan he was greasing. They both just sortof stare at you.

You look up from your food to look at the two of them. Abby has her fork hanging losely out of her mouth, John is giving you what can only be described as a 'look'.

"...Something wrong?" you finally manage after several seconds.

"You've never... not once?" Abby asks.

"Wait, never ever?" John asks. "Sweet, am I hearing you right? Do you mean like never been in love?"

"I've never.... anything really." You respond, shrinking slightly from their sudden attention.

"Never... been with someone?" John asks, trying not to emphasis the innuendo. Abby blushes slightly at the implications as you shake your head. "Kissed? Stared longingly? fantasised in the vaguest sense?" He continues growing slightly more exasperated as you continue to meekly shake your head at his questioning. He then heaves a deep sigh. "Well that explains... damn near everything actually." He gives Abby a look as he picks up the pan and moves deeper into his kitchen to give you some privacy. "Looks like you got your work cut out for you girl." He comments just before he vanishes.

Abby just kinda stares at you in muted disbelief, as you can see all the little gears clicking into place somewhere in her mind, putting together all the little things she knew about you into this new context.

"So yeah," you comment. "I guess I thought you knew. I mean, I've never tried to hide that stuff from anyone... But there you go. "So please be as blunt as you need to be about things, let me know when I'm screwing up or something." With that you let out a little cough, and go back to your pasta, trying to fight down a rising blush.

Then you feel a little touch on your cheek, and turn just in time for Abby to plant a gentle kiss on your lips. "Honestly, I had no idea about any of this. And it's totally fine if you wanna take things slow while we try and figure this out." A small self depreciating smirk crosses her face "Hell, I'm so out of practice I'd probably just embarrass myself if we were to try something now."

"Thanks for being so understanding."

It went- Dervish telling us about nine-balls opponent, us noticing it kage's AC was named Wind rather than fire (in japanese?)
-B-Somekind of black rock shooter cultist invasion, which came out of nowhere.
-C-Dervish basically being a badass, that i get

The two of you smile and share your moment. For a few minutes, you eat in companionable silence.

"When it comes to you, Will acting weird is a relative term."

"No, seriously. He's been acting really different ever since you were...." You kinda trail off as you realize reminding her of a traumatic event probably isn't the best thing.

She's quiet for a minute. "You know, you might be right. I thought it was just me, that something was just knocked loose still. but Will's.... different somehow. I think maybe he took what happened to me really hard."

I don't want to derail things, but I would like to know Ryan a bit better, since I seem to not remember anything important about him

also, I kinda forget who all is with Liz other than Will and Abby.

You decide to go find your buddy Ryan and lord the fact that pilots get more free time than anybody over the rest of the crew.

Or play Ping-Pong. you don't really have much of a plan besides 'find Ryan'. And you accomplish that fairly quickly, finding him browsing the internet in one of the 'public use' terminal rooms.

He looks up as you walk in the room, and quickly clicks a few things on his screen. "Hey Liz. What's up?"

[ ] Talk to him about Will.
[ ] Talk to him about relationships.
[ ] Ask him what he was doing when you walked in.

and then, seeing as how he's an expert on the topic, we ask him for advice.

And then his head explodes.
>>
"What're you doing?"

"Nothing much. Just talking to somebody."

"Then why hide it?"

"Private conversation." he responds easily. "You here for the lab?"

"Actually, I was kinda looking for you."

"Oh?"

"Nothing to do. wanted to see if you had any ideas."

".... Not really." he's quiet for a moment as you sit at the terminal next to his. "something on your mind?"

And that's why I hate being Liz, it's just lulz everywhere and seems so different in tone from Alex and the team's story.

But yes it won and I'm tossing another vote behind it to make sure it does so we don't end up in a tie or anything from people coming to their senses.
>>
"Something.... kinda, yeah." Then an idea occurs to you. "Hey, these computers can connect to the internet right?"

"Yeah...."

"All of it? There's no blocks or anything?"

"I THINK so, but I haven't exactly been trying to test the boundaries here. Why...?"

You don't hear him over the idea you just had. Clearly if you have no idea what to do with Abby, the internet might have the answers.

You quickly punch in the words 'first time lesbians' into the search bar, before realizing that it probably wouldn't give you what you're looking for.

After a few minutes of thought, you decide to ask Ryan. "Hey Ryan, what's a good way to get relationship advice?"

"Besides talking to your friends and family?"

You think on your parents. Your Mother is something of a free spirit, and would probably understand, but your dad.... "I'm not sure how comfortable I am talking about it with people I know. Especially since circumstances are... weird..."

"Because he's your commanding officer?"

"Wha- no, me and Abby."

"Oh. Never been with a girl or something?"

"Never with anyone actually."

"Really, to what extent?"

"I... I think I held hands with a boy back in middle school during a field trip."

He smiles "Really? I guess that explains a lot then. How come it never got past the hand holding?"

"Because that was the week before we began Health Class."

He blinks. "You poor girl. How long did that kill your drive?"

"About... a year I guess? By then I was too busy with other stuff and just never thought about it until.... a week ago?" You finish kinda sheepishly as you realize the depth of your inexperience.
>>
>>20043591

"Nyohoho!" Ryan Nyohohos, as he looks over at you. "Little Liz is getting EMBARRASSED? That's a first."

"Wha- I'm not-"

"Calm down Liz." He says with a chuckle, before writing a web adress on a slip of paper. "Here, this is a good one. Helped... a friend when he was trying to come to terms with himself. Maybe you'll have similar luck?" He adds before giving your hair a gentle rustling and commenting on how he's gonna go get something to eat.

You start to type in the address when a little pop-up informs you of breaking news.

You click on the link, it seems to be telling you that you should consider these sweet new deals on life-insurance and such since Vegas just got destroyed.

Something about that last bit gives you pause, and you hit up Google one more time.

A minute of reading later, you run into the command center, and Will looks your way from a maintenance log while everyone looks over at you.

"Liz?" He asks, catching a look at your expression.

"We have a situation."

He blinks, then gives you a look. "Is this about earlier?"

"No. Turn on the news."

He looks at you, and then keys something onto his personal console. His eyes go wide for a moment, and then you see all of the screens on the bridge turn on, with Live reports from various news organizations. It all shows the same images: Vegas at War.

Will immediately calls a meeting of the heads of staff, while everyone watches the screens in silent horror.

>I think that might be it for today.

So, what's your role on the team? Both in a tactical sense and a less formal sense?

Tell us a bit about yourself.
>>
>>20044164

What do you think of Abby and Liz?
>>
>>20044164

What was it like being a member of the Wolf Pack?
>>
I remember health class.
The teacher has a slideshow of STDs.
No one in that class had sex for a few months.
>>
>>20048060

I remember my health class. It was a joke.
Did have an STD slideshow though.
>>
>>20048332
STD slideshows are amazing. It works so much better than talking about pregnancy or morals or whatever.
"Wrap it before you tap it or your dick will rot off."
>>
>>20044318

My role in combat is basically heavy ranged support. I'm the artillery guy who sits half-way between the snipers and the actual battlefield. Outside of combat, I'm basically the group's den mother. I would say father, but fathers are generally a distant authority figure you look up to and can never, ever please.

>>20044565

As people? Abby's a nice girl, but way too reserved and has a bad habit of getting tunnel vision. Liz is a monster in combat, but outside of it she's almost like everyone's little sister. I say 'almost' because about half the crew and team would totally hit that if given the opportunity.

As a couple? I honestly didn't know Abby was a lesbian. Liz I don't think swings any particular way, but I'm kinda shocked she didn't hook up with Will.

>>20047755

Intense, demanding, exiting. We're the best, and for a good reason. It's just like any other military unit: if you love your country, you love the pack.
>>
Before today, did you have any speculation as to why Liz was so... Liz-y?
>>
>>20049344
What material do you think is dense enough to be compared to Liz and romance/innuendo?

Do you think that Liz's attachment to lances is strange?

What were you looking at before Liz wandered in to your room?
>>
>>20048391

Still doesn't work quite as well as they want it to, but the impression I got from the class was 'Don't have sex unless you're trying to make a baby, or you'll die.'
I don't think anyone ever listened.
>>
>>20049615

I would also like to hear about your opinion on lances.
>>
>>20049390

Somehow, I feel like that's an insult. She just never had any reason to distrust or dislike anybody, so she's really open and honest.

>>20049615

She's not DENSE she's just inexperienced in the ways of love.

Not really. I don't like 'em, but I can see why they might appeal. I also feel bad for not taking advantage of the obvious dick-joke in there.

None of your god-damned business
>>
>>20051322
I assure you, I didn't mean it as an insult, I just didn't know how else to put it.
>>
>>20051322
How many people did make jokes about Liz and her long strong penetrating Lance that she just did not get?

How tall are you?

What website did you give to Liz?
>>
>>20051455

I didn't hear any. generally it's not fun to tease if they just don't get that they're being teased.

Bit over six foot. I don't know what that translates in with meters since I'm not great at math.

Off limits question, unless you have some serious issues regarding sexuality and/or gender identity.
>>
>>20051535
Who on the team do you get along with the best?

How good a pilot would you say you are in comparison to the rest of the team? Give a vague listing of comparative skill levels of the team or something like that.

How good a cook is John?
>>
>>20051535
Do you like your job?

What is it like being an artillery based pilot?

and an odd one-
Is there a way that you want to "go out" someday? In bed, piloting, ect.
>>
>>20051709

Toss up between Liz and Brian. Liz is just sweet and eager as hell, and brain's all business. It's amazing how much you come to value that shit.

Raw skill? I don't know. Liz might be the best there right now, but she NEEDS cover fire like a fish needs water. I know I'm not the best, but I'm not sure I'm the worst either. Something else to remember: We're Pack. Or we were anyway. You don't get to fly in the pack unless you're a badass of some kind.

SO GOOD. He's from N'awlens originally. And he was considered a good cook by THEIR standards. These are the sorts of people who can take a handfull of mud, some rice and a bunch of shrimp and turn it into a meal fit for a king. In a new way. Every single day of their lives.

>>20051736

Love it. I'm not sure how much I love being a fugitive, but if the alternative is Liz in front of a firing squad....

I'm not strictly artillery based, but to be honest, it's a lot like being a sniper: you stay out of the main fight, stay frosty, and pick your shots. I also play interceptor to anybody trying to take out our snipers and other support.

Some people like to achieve immortality through their deeds and legacy. I would much prefer immortality by not dieing. If I HAD to pick a way for me to die, I want to go out in a cage match with me and Dervish against a gorilla riding a grizzly bear. That'd be an awesome way to die.

Assuming of course Dervish doesn't kill me for trying to get him involved in something like that.
>>
I don't actually have a question, beyond, we're just letting this die, now?

Actually, got any hobbies, Ryan? Or was this asked? I'm tired, can't remember, or bother to look.
>>
>>20054164

>I only kept posting because other people kept posting.

Only hobbies I have is just generally bullshiting with peopel, and building insanely elaborate things for no reason.

I have a perfect model of our carrier in my room, complete with another, smaller rendition of the carrier in my bunk. I also hold the world record for the 'longest chain of dominoes'. Cost me like three grand and took six hours for the whole thing to play out.
