You are a little female jumping spider named Bibi living inside a shed. After your mom kicked you out of your home you escaped a centipede by jumping off the table that had bee your home for all your life. On the floor under the table you encountered another spider named Dorpou, who became your mate. In the last session, you hunted down cockroaches and improved your nest that is inside a turned over bucket. You also placed some food scraps near the bucket, so you could observe what kinds of predators live nearby.

You are currently eating the last bits of delicious liquefied innards of the remaining cockroach with your mate. Eating the cockroach restores 60 protein. You now have 80 and Dorpou has 70.
    What will you do?

    >How this works.
Suggest an action and then depending how feasible it is, the spider will act.

You are just an ordinary spider in moder day earth. You have no special powers, other than your intellect.

Making silk costs proteins, which you can restore by eating. Your mate has his own protein reserves.

You can upgrade your nest with silk.Your nest currently has the following improvements:
    >Hunting lines.
    >Egg chamber.
    >Hiding place.
    >Food storage.
    >Warning net over the entrance of the bucket, that will send vibrations yo your nest if something walks over it.

The breeze seems to be coming from a hole in the wall.
You can see strange green things sprouting from the ground, and you hear the faint sounds of all kinds of creatures.

You ask Doprou if he has any insight on this.
"That is where other creatures sometimes wander in. Groups of small things with strong bites and venomous stingers mostly. They kill something and then leave. My mother told me a tale of the massive creature who made the hole, by biting through it! It was probably just a tale. I have never seen that kind of creature here."

Dorpou says that his mother told him the tale when their clan had actually did that that untill the great can fell and destroyed most of them. Unfortunately, something always tore the net up. Every day they had to rebuild the web, but the outsiders always broke through. No matter how the web was reinforced, no matter the thickness something always eventually broke it. And jet they kept rebuilding the web for generations.

He says that even with your help, you couldn't possibly build a web sturdy enough to deter the outsiders. The best thing to do is to steer clear of the hole, as the invaders rarely go very deep in to the shed.

    Materials:
    >Pebbles
There is large supply of small pebbles and other tiny rocks all around the floor. This shack has a ground floor.
    >Wood
You already collected all the splinters light enough to carry from the place where they fell. You just never used them. They are in the storage sack.

Hear me out. The pebbles are difficult to manipulate at our small size without large amounts of energy, correct? So, when we have our labor for- I mean, children, they will need to be taught how to dance. So, we divide them into pairs, teach them the basics, and then have them practice. However, we'll need to manipulate the dance to better distinguish our new empire. So, when they finally get the hang of it, we have them tie strong pieces of web between their dancing legs, and then put a pebble in-between them. Their constant dancing will sand the stone down into a proper wheel. Imagine it; a spider mass production line for the wheel.

You go and check the corpse of the lord of legs, in order to determine if it can be used for something. Multiple ideas spring forth, such as chitin armor and weapons, and even a walking fortress.
Truly, this beast's body can have multiple uses.
Realizing these plans will take time however. Removing the chitinous plates from the creature may prove difficult.

Dorpou descends down to the scene in awe. The last bits of his skepticism of your crazy projects has been washed away by this showcase of awesomeness.

I love this quest. Sometimes the simplest things turn out the be the most enjoyable. Happens in P&P RPGs too. Sometimes simple one shots, totally born out of improvisation are much more loved then complex campaigns you spend weeks to prepare. Quite some of these one shots of mine got upgraded to full fledged and loved campaigns instead.

I think we need to spend this day removing the meat, and whatever portions we need we keep in the food storage chamber, the rest need to be as far from our nest as possible, maybe throw it into the white lake of DEATH so the bigger and maybe more stupid predators will die? Or invite trouble by putting the meat near THE CRACK as an offering to the outside and to appease the bigger beasts.

Over the morning hours, you and Dorpou work tirelessly to collect everything of use from the carcass. You fill your bellies with the innards of the centipede, filling your both protein reserves. You store what you can of edible parts in websacks, until your food storage couldn't hold any more.

You also remove multiple armor plates, legs and both mandibles in hopes that you can utilize them somehow.

You then drag what remains of the centipede further
from your bucket, along with the roach corpse, fearing that they would attract even nastier predators.
