Over the past fourty-eight hours reports of strange happenings have been occuring all over the world, from explosions the size of city blocks, to people hurtling through the air at impossible speeds. People all over the world are developing powers, and after figuring out how to use them most are unleashing hell on earth to get whatever they want; though some few stand against them to defend those that cannot defend themselves. No one knows quite why this has happened and ideas range from the insane conspiracy theories like the flouride in the water, to people that claim it is god releasing his judgement upon the earth; whatever the case you find that you are amoung those that has been gifted with powers as well. Now it is just up to you to find out what who the one weilding this power is?

(choose a name, an age, and a gender, highest of the first four rolls decides it, and I reserve the right to throw out troll suggestions on this and all future decisions)

You walk to your window and lift the shades to take a look outside, you look into the distance and see smoke rising from a far off building, as you strain your eyes to get a better look the building zooms towards you and you can see the details as if they are mere feet away; it appears a man is walking through the flames that are engulfing a jewelry story and is grabbing whatever loot he can get his hands on. what would you like to do now that you appear to have incredibly powerful vision?

You dash over to your phone to call the police, reporting all that you saw through your window, glancing back at the window as you are speaking to the operator. Apparently they already knew about the break-in from the silent alarm that was triggered before the explosion took place. Now that the proper authorities have been informed and you now know you have at least some form of superhuman ability, though not to what extent, what would you like to do?

If your intending to run a good thread instead of trollin me can you please use better logic than 'oh those Christians are wrong about everything'.

    Heres the data:
    Fluoride IS poisonous.
The only argument FOR using it is that its concentration is too low to be a danger.
This is catastrophically wrong. Your kidneys filter your blood and it is FACT that fluoride concentrates inside bones and teeth over time, weakening them.
What do we use fluoride for? To help maintain healthy gums and teeth. But we all brush our teeth right? That contains MUCH more fluoride than the water. But we don’t need to swallow it.
So its harmful and isn’t necessary. Add to that there are no long term health studies (that I’ve ever heard of). What we have here is asbestos, except for our generation.

Do you know what the strongest acid is known to man? Fleurosulfuric acid. It doesn’t seem a good idea to use a molecule that’s the strongest anything.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluorosulfuric_acid

I say that our power should be to create fluorosulfuric acid. Because energy types is a bit Mary Sue.

You might have noticed that bacteria and humans are pretty different. You know, different size, different cell structure, and so on.

This means that they don't always react the same way when exposed to various compounds. That the exposure is done in very different ways here (drinking vs complete submersion) probably doesn't hurt either. Or, well, it hurts the bacteria, but you get the idea...

Feel free to look over antibiotics as well, if they were as lethal to humans as they are to bacteria, well, you might as well use cyanide to treat infections then.

Treating diseases caused by multi-cellular parasites is generally a lot harder than bacteria, as they aren't quite so different form us, and finding something which kills them without severe side-effects for the host is thus a lot harder. Chemotherapy likewise tends to have very harsh side-effects, as anything which will kill cancer cells will probably kill of other things as well.

You make your way down the street looking again into the distance at the building, you carefully make your way towards it being cautious of spotting the thief, eyes darting and straining in all directions. It isn't as easy to get your eyes to zoom in and out as it was before, perhaps because at the time you weren't actually trying to use your eyes like telescopes, it just happened; but after a few minutes of fumbling you are able to get the hang of zooming in and out, even getting to the point where you can trace the cracks in the pavement four blocks away. You have now made it to the jewelry store and the fire is still going strong, in the distance you can hear sirens approaching and can find no sign of the thief.

You look quickly at what ever it was the thief stole, it doesn't really seem like there was any real pattern to what was stolen other than the area that was hit hardest was the area that you know the most expensive bits of jewelry were stored. It mostly looks like the thief wanted to get the most valuable and expensive jewelry he could.

You do notice an ashy footprint leading away from the store and try to see if you can find any more, as you are straining your eyes you once again start to feel your vision shifting to something you have never felt before, now you can see a path of footprints rather easily, but they seem to be of an indescribable color overlapping with the normal colors of the spectrum.

(you can now see in the infrared spectrum and visible spectrum simultaneously as well as having telescopic vision, the infrared does take a little longer to activate at this point until you have more practice)

Find an appropriate broken wall and search for a loos brick.
Then try to sneak up on the character.
Using our super-eyes to watch his hips for tiny movements, see if he’s about to turn. Then hide. Or just stay out of his field of vision.

You investigate around a bit and though you cannot find a broken wall but you notice both a fire escape that let's out in the alley near the person as well as another small service entrance to a building.

Perhaps a glass bottle. Check peoples recycling bins! But be quiet.

So sneak down and check out the jewels. Use our vision to spot the most valuable ones. Leave the rest.

Well I say it's lootin time...clandestinely move to his location and search him for the goods while keeping an eye out for anyone else in the area.

Man, we're going to need to find a good fence latter. I doubt we'll be able all to sell all the jewelery without getting caught if this guy did a good job for us and grabbed a lot of nice shit.

I say if we're already going to have a pocketfull of stolen goods, we may as well police up the evidence too. Lets take all the shards of the bottle with us, we got good vision so we should find them all. Including any lodged in his skull. Then push him somewhere a bit less conspicuous.

You make your way down and quickly pickup all the shards of glass you can find, even the ones to small to normally see, you also look over the man and take all the jewelry that he has, enough to fill a small bag. You then move his body deeper into the alley and behind some trash, as you are moving him you notice his clothing is charred and burnt in many places but his skin is completely burn free.

Once you retreat, make sure you weren’t seen. No cameras etc.
Then cycle back home quickly. And Enter secretly.
The police may want to question you considering you live across the street. Tell them nothing. Not the direction you saw him run in. Nothing.
Just say you heard an explosion, went to phone the police because you thought it might be a terrorist attack. You didn’t see anyone leave as you didn’t think to look.

No sense in "giving them enough rope to hang you with”.
Criminals always slip up on the details, either wrong or lies but also too many. Its also a grand way to wind up in court and spending your life’s savings on a lawyer to prove your innocent. Even if you actually are innocent and messed up on explaining some details or had a sketchy past. Such is the world these days.

You retreat after ensuring there are no cameras or possible witnesses around, and when you retrieve your bike you go the back way to make sure the police on the street facing the jewelry store won't see you making your entrance. When you make it to your house you go back to your living room and turn on the tv to the news to see what will be said of the robbery.

(It appears no one wants to do a back story, so for right now we will assume that if you have family they are on vacation or something)

after a few minutes of watching the news the story comes on, it says the police have a rough idea of what the perpetrator looks like, he is 5' 8" with long unkempt brown hair, quite possibly homeless. The news then moves on to the stories about the superhuman menace as it is now being called, reports of a man in Chad declaring himself king, ships being assaulted by a man literally riding the waves right onto the decks. It seems that the world is full of people taking advantage of their powers like you, though you feel you can do better; you will do better. After all these other people are just attacking without thought to the consequences or attention, you are a gentleman that can look at the big picture, and that is your advantage over those that may have "better" super powers.

Your thoughts are interrupted by a knock on the door. You look through the peep hole and see two police men at standing outside, it appears they are at ease at the moment with smiles on their face. When you answer they tell you they are here to ask you about what you may have seen tonight, after all you are one of the people that called in the crime. You tell them that you didn't see much, the building was a bit to far away to see much other than you heard an explosion and saw a fire, as well as a man moving through the building, that is when you went to call the police, you didn't see much after that.

Good, don't let them in, remember never to let them in.

A bit too much back-story there. Stuff like eyesight can be proven later. Are you trying to get us in trouble?

Wait... a few minutes and the story comes on? Just after it happened? And then the police arrive? Surly it should be the other way around.

true enough, that should probably be the other way around, as for the building, you have noticed it before you had your improved eyesight and to a normal person it is to far away to be able to make out many details, it is several buildings away.
