(( Previous threads and other helpful information: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Nasuverse IRC for discussion: #HGWSeattle @ Rizon No rolls will be required unless I specifically call for them. Remember: Dave's magic is limited to basic spellcraft (Magic defense [which is simply running Prana through one's circuits to prevent outside influence from unfinished spells] , familiars, and detecting Prana flow) and his own magic (Amplification of reactions or processes) ))It's going to be a long morning. Mother cooks a greek dish for breakfast, something I can't really identify, and the morning passes with some gun training and simple martial arts. I put the gun in my glove compartment, the tires already replaced. Mother placed powerful warding runes on the wheels in case anyone decides to slash them again. I arrive at school an hour early. What should I do here, before classes?
Check in with Caster's old Master. See if we can get some info on familiars. Where did you put the blueprints for the Familiars from Donnie's Mom again?Barring that, say hidey-ho tyo Donnie and friends. Introduce us to your social circle, as it were.
>Mother placed powerful warding runes on the wheels in case anyone decides to slash them again. Ha! Seems a bit late for that. >What should I do here, before classes?Snuck into the Girls Locker Room in the gym. It's not like there is much to do anyway. If your especially bored you could spray a picture of Dickbutt on the side of the sports hall
>>19517319RAPE THE MAIDS
>>19517515Oh wait, at school. Go to the library I guess. Get some homework and shit done.
>>19517636Good idea, maybe even stop by the gym for a little light exercise, get the ball rolling on Operation: Fabio the Magus.Since we have some time, Young Master: tell Bob the Skull what kind of girl is your type: Do you like them curvy and voluptuous like Great Stoking Ti-, I mean, dear Aunt Sakura?Or perhaps you like them toned and athletic like Attie?Or, perhaps slender yet vaguely feminine is more your style, sorta like Mom?Do tell, Young Master.
>>19517756You know other Bob, you have just chosen perhaps the three worst examples to ask to determine his taste. You just asked do you have hots for your Mother, your other Mother or your Aunt. Don't you see the problem with this?
>>19517629..Seems like a good alternative to my idea to kill some time. I like it.
rolled 1 = 1((Don't mind the dice. Just rolling for an event.))The plans for the Familiar are packed in the bags in my trunk.>>19517629But there aren't any maids!>>19517461>>19517636First stop: Library. While I get some homework done, I usually come here because my non-magus friends take to it. Harold and Tony are skinny, tall, and lanky - identical twins. Both blonde with blue hair. Tony dresses in red, Harold in blue. Some discussion rises about the party I broke up, and that inevitably leads to talk about the death of one of those involved. Not wanting to out myself, I shrug and mention that he was dealing with dangerous people anyway. I also let them know that, sadly, I won't be able to DM for them this month. Need all the time I can get. They agree that they didn't really have the time for it, both of them are pretty entrenched in college level classes. Running Start, I think it it was. Donnie and I meet up in the cafeteria. His father works in the morning and he's lazy when it comes to food, but not picky, so he comes early for the breakfast. We shoot the shit a while. He mentions that his computer will be open to me - he's got a pretty sizable Steam account. >>19517756...Well, if I had to say? Aunt Sakura. I mean, technically, we're not related at all. She just treats me like a cousin. Then again, when I think about it, I'm adopted any-No no no no. I can't think like that. It's a dark road. Classes start in half an hour. Anything else I should do?
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not another one
>>19517774I'm talking in terms of body type, fellow Bob. If you know other Nasu girls that correspond to these, feel free to mention them.
>>19517801>>19517801HOUND! DEVIL! OUR MASTER IS A GOOD MAN! HE SHOULD CONTINUE WITH HIS STUDIES FOR THE DAY OR MINGLE WITH HIS COMRADES!He's better than the Tohno boy, dammit!
>>19517811Don't worry David, we'll perv after your mothers enough for the both of us.Ask people about the new substitute teacher, see what people know about her. If we are to seduce her, for tactical reasons, than we must know our target.
>>19517817Go away. First one was fucking awesome. SKINWALKER. SKINWALKER. SKINWALKER.And we're Bob the fucking Skull. Our last master was a lesbian alcoholic. Who is now one of the most powerful beings known to man due to our help.Oh, and we also created the God Emperor of Mankind. No. Seriously. We accidentally allowed the God Emperor to happen.
>>19517756Why not all of them at the same time?I mean... Our first priority for the boy should be to get him loose his virginity. We can't let him go down the same road as his Mother, can we?
>>19517811A-ha: curvy and voluptuous it is. I will keep that mind, Master David.>>19517920First, we help and advise the young Master with finding the magus behind this horrible drug and put an end to his scheme. Then we work on getting Master in shape so he gets a hot girlfriend and gets laid.Or do both at the same time. There's enough of us in Legion to multitask as long as we don't run Young Master ragged.
>>19517811Sweet.Alright, I guess you should shoot some shit with Donnie. Or go see Rachel. We have several theories about Howling floating around, and none of them are good.
>>19517920What, end up in a stable and loving relationship with a physically perfect superhuman with whom kickass adventures are shared?>>19517811Master is a gamer?Might we recommend a good imageboard? There's a great subforum called /tg/....>>19517811Are we still concerned about Rachel? She seemed okay last time we checked up, but she's involved in some pretty weird shit, or so my gut feelin says
>>19517838>>19517838You're so incredibly boring. However.. Well. Master could at leats check out the girls in his class, I guess. That we we both get what we want. Eventually. Fufu.
I vote we go see if we can find that "substitute teacher" and scope her out. Themoreyouknow.jpg>dat feel when I'm stuck using my iPhone for the next 4 hours
>>19518098Investigate the new sub, you say?Seems plan-like to me.
>>19518022Young Master can keep in contact with Rachel and stay friends with her if he likes. She might have more helpful information in the future, but as far as getting them back together: no that ship has sailed.Besides, Bob the Skull can help him get another girl far better.>>19518163I like this idea too, but try to be discreet. We don't want Teach thinking David is a creeper.
>>19518163Remember, too, that she's from "a Catholic school," and that Mistress mentioned an inbound Executor...
>>19518195Any chance it is Lisa? We didn't really get a chance to talk much to her last time we crossed paths.
>>19518231I'd say it's a definite possibility. She's worked with Mistress before, so the Church may've sent her again.>Mah route senses, dey be tinglin'
>>19518195If I didn't know any better, I'd say she'd be a mite heretical. Those in the Catholic board rarely leave it, unless they end up stepping out of line (which, to be fair, is easy to do).>orongro beams"Beams are so...unisex"
>>19518231>...eeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHH?! >Pan to the skyOh god, I can totally see that one happening.
rolled 8 = 8>>19518005>Ask about the new subDonnie has little info. "She's strict as hell, as far as I hear. DOesn't look a day over twentyish, though, so there's a little fanclub already." he stretches. She's got this trombone case she carries everywhere, and likes to dress in black and blue." he shrugs. "Maybe you'll see her. I hear your PE teacher is out." I shrug. "In any case... Oh! Dude, be sure to remind me about the lake when we meet up at my place. Stuff I can't discuss here, but it's important." he pats my back, and wanders off. I'll spare you guys the boredom of my classes, unless something crazy happens.[DISCONTINUITY]And now it's lunchtime! I've a half hour until PE. Don't worry, nothing of consequence happened.
>>19518340Meet the sub yet?
>>19518340>violin caseMhmm...Keep an eye on this one, Young Master. We need to gauge her intentions and objective. For now, get ready for PE. Hell, go early and get in some extra training. God knows you could use it.
>>19518340>She's strict as hell>DOesn't look a day over twentyish>She's got this trombone case she carries everywhere>likes to dress in black and blue
>>19518410>>19518396Fuck my memory fail me.Who is it?
(( Event DC passed: 7 ))>>19518396Trombone! It's a trombone case!Long with a flare at the end. Sheesh. Anyway, I head to the gym early. No class taking place yet, so I slip into the locker room (the men's. I know some of you would steer me othewise.) and change into my shorts and tee. While I'm warming up, the teacher emerges. I nearly stumble, because I recognize her right away. "Classes are in fifteen minutes." she says coldly. Her bright blue eyes and straight posture make her seem cold, somehow, as she crosses her arms under her slightly modest chest. She dresses practically, for good movement. In fact, almost... military style? Her outfit almost has the cut of fatigues, and is black with blue trim. Her hair is down to her shoulders, straight and black. "Why are you here early?" "Extra practice. Already ate." I reply. "You the sub for this class?" I ask, stretching. "Yes. Lisa Zolner." she says. "Miss Zolner, please." The gym is empty as I finish my stretches. She seems to be gauging me. It feels... strange. Her stare is incredibly intense.
>>19518637SHE'S LOOKING INTO YOUR VERY SOUL. DON'T MEET HER EYES OR SHE'LL FIND OUT WHAT YOU ARE.Nah. Just kidding. Seriously though, be careful around this chick. In that trombone case is a sword that cuts MAGIC.
>>19518637Agree with Winter. We should be careful around her but continue your workout, Young Master. Begin Operation: Fabio the Magus.Just don't be late for class.
>>19518735So THAT'S what's in the case...I remember now...Can you tell if her eyes are Mystic Eyes? I have a suspicion about her...Ttry making small-talk. Be professional but relaxed. These Executors put on a hard-assed face, particularly when facing wha tthey style to believe as 'heretics'. Show no fear. Ask nicely: "Are you a music enthusiast? When did you pick up the trombone?:"
>>19518637>Her stare is incredibly intenseYeah, it makes my ying go totally yang. ..Oh and she probably can feel our presence, master. On the brightside: She doesn't have her sword with her that could pretty much unmake your dear, lovely familiar, master.
>>19518801What do you think is in the trombone case? Kittens?
>>19518793"Where'd you pick up music?" She blinks. "The trombone." She sighs. "I am not one for secrets, David." she says simply. "We are alone here, so I shall speak plainly. I am an Executor sent on request of the Church. Your mother had asked them to provide her with assistance with Howling. To that end, I am to safeguard you from harm and risk while your mother seeks out the one creating the foul material." "Is that so? Why not go with her?" She visibly stiffens. "Your mother and I do not agree on tactics and methodology. She thought you and I would mesh better." she says - but not to my face as I lap the gym.
>>19518853OK. She isn't happy about working with us. Great. Just great. Just go about your daily routine dude, and don't do anything that could be viewed as heresy.
>>19518853Tsundere senses tingling. Anyway, we're going to be working with this chick, so be friendly, Young Master. Also, introduce us.
>>19518923Let on to an Executor about a hidden familiar? Why give away more than we need to?I agree with the Tsundere mode, though. Be courteous but kindhearted. You may yet demonstrate why she got kicked out of the Catholic board here, too!>>19518853Ask her what she knows about us, or what we should know about her? How to keep this relationship working?(Maybe at lunch tomorrow, offer to buy her curry. I hear Church Executors have a thing about Indian food.)
>>19518853It seems Lisa and your mom probably butted heads a bit, Young Master. We know Mistress does come off a bit prickly until you get to know her.We should be polite to Lisa since we will be working with her for the time being.>>19518923My tsundere senses are tingling as well.
>>19518893Master is a mage with a pretty funky familiar. I don't think we can get any more heretical than that. >>19518838I can think of more than enough dangerous things than just her Magic-Vaporating sword. Like something that erases your soul from existance or worse. No seriously, there are a lot more dangerous things than her sword and ironically the church owns a lot of them.
>>19519030Trust me. On the scale of heresy, which goes up to one hundred, we're at about a 2. Liz, due to being able to do something that only God should, AKA create life, is at 100.
>>19518923>Also, introduce us.I don't think there is a need for that.>>19519015>Let on to an Executor about a hidden familiar? Why give away more than we need to?I'm pretty sure she knows about us already. Executors are pretty well-tuned to supernatural things. If not I would be surprised and kind of disapointed. But I know what we can do to mess with her: Ask her for her three seizes. This should be funny.
>Be Polite"I understand. Mother's... a bit prickly." "It is not her personality that prevents me from working with her. She is too..." Lisa pauses, as if seeking the right words. "She kills far too often for my taste." she says. "And she is a Heretic of the highest calibur. We do not end her because we cannot. Yet."An Executor? Saying something like that?"You're an executor. You, uh. Execute things." "I am an Executor with a specialty for live capture, destruction of familiars and ataliers, and the destruction of The Dead and Dead Apostles." she says plainly. It... feels like she's dodging something about what I'm saying. "Alright. So you're going to keep an eye on me here at -" "No. Not just here. I have been asked to supervise you at Donovan's home." Wait what?!
>>19519015I concur with Weeaboo Pete.Let's find out what she knows about us before Master says anything about Bob the Skull. We should be Young Master's trump card.
>>19519030>there are a lot more dangerous things than her sword and ironically the church owns a lot of them.I blame this little cockbite. Fucking munchkin just HAS to get all the blingy artifacts.
>>19519137Oh good god. David, did your former last name by any chance be "Tohno?" It would explain a great deal.Proper response should be "WHAT THE FUCK?"
>>19519161David confirmed for Tohno gland. Proper response here is blushing, stammering, and generally being d'aww. While you're at it, pump her for info. What exactly are we up against here?
>>19519137>destruction of familiars and ataliersWHELP! There goes my plans for a consensual sex in a missionary position for the purpose of procreation In The Pope's Name. Master, do NOT try to let on that we exist. It will be hell, but the alternatives include her trying to gank us. She's already spoken plainly of wanting to gank your mom (Eat shit and go back to your vampire shota, bitch!), and now you'll be shacking up with her.THIS COULD NOT POSSIBLY GO WRONG. Make sure when she's at Donnie's place she's kept under surveillance. We don't want her planting mage-mines there so that when she leaves, she blows shit up.Also: if you ever carry birth control, make SURE she doesn't find out. I've known some Executors can be very liberal about these things, but I' d want to stay on her on Miss Zolner's good side.Ask for more detail about living at Donnies? WOuldn't that be doubleplusheresy?
>>19519137>"She kills far too often for my taste."...Yeah, right. Look, if you thought that Mages are hardcore about rules and secrecy and not allowing people to know about them, please keep in mind that the church is pretty much willing to incinerate whole villages to keep a lid on things. >destruction of familiars....Okay. Forget the three sizes-part.>It... feels like she's dodging something about what I'm saying.Jah. I call bullshit on that one, too, master. Tell her she shouldn't feel to bad about it, though-... Hold on a second. An expert on live capture. And master has some kind of strange dreams and unusual magic even Master Eliza is not sure about. Oh boy, I see where this is going..
>>19519240Fuck. They think we have an RM don't they?
>>19519137>It... feels like she's dodging something about what I'm saying. Can we probe her for more info while being polite? I want to believe she was just uncomfortable about having to shack up with her least favourite heretic's son , but could she have something else she's none too fond of?>>19519161>>19519210he only truly has the gland once he has a harem show up living with him.So far, he's just-friends with Raechel and Ms Lisa is now No. 2. We need one more girl (Unless Donnie's the gay option :p )
>>19519137"Wait, what?" I manage. "But that's, I. We can't really do that." "Why is that?" "Well, I'll be living alone and-""I do not foresee an issue, David." she says, shifting her stance. "I need to be as close as possible to maintain a proper protection. The Church owes Eliza a great deal, and I personally owe you." "...What?" "My wounds." she states plainly. "Normally the energies Mercy takes allow me to heal myself. However, I did not have sufficient prana to access that function. You assissted me in regaining battle readiness." "But isn't living with me sort of... Well..." I scratch the back of my head. "It is not living in sin if we are not romantically involved." she states simply."... Fine. Can you tell me your abilities?" "I am as physically fit as any executor is trained to be. My Circuits are exceptionally efficient if few in number. My Conceptual Weapon is built upon Forgiveness and Forgetfulness, and when activated passes through living matter to destroy magic circuits, memories, and 'purpose of self'." she speaks as if reciting. "My sword skills with two-handed weapons and hand and a half weapons are excellent, and I am exceptional at evading and defending against magical abilities even with Mercy unactivated. Further, the energies from what Mercy removes are returned to me in the form of healing alms." I explain my magic briefly, and she nods. "I understand."There is maybe five minutes until the start of class. What should I do?
>>19519240Care to clarify?
>>19519239>>19519254Look, we can get friendly with her. Heck, Master can even try to get into her pants. As long as he doesn't actually start to trust her.Just to make sure that she doesn't do anything funny we probably should come up with something how we can ruin her day as a backup-plan. ...You think we could get some C4 somewhere, master?
>>19519337Go to class. Duh. Can't miss out on your education kid. Who knows, you might learn something that will save your life someday.
>>19519348For once I agree with Black Bob. Time to prepare our Old Man Henderson.
>>19519337Set up when/where you're meeting after school. Also, ask if she could maybe train you in hand-to-hand a bit.Otherwise, politely excuse yourself and continue training.
>>19519337>My Conceptual Weapon is built upon Forgiveness and Forgetfulness...From all the Executors around the world we managed get the fluffy and puppy-eyed one.I wonder if she is a virgin like you, too, master.
>>19519399Uncool man, uncool. Besides, we're gonna help the kid over come that little problem, and learn how to perform Mana Transfers. I don't think we got the puppy-eyes one. She'd have a sword of hope or some shit.
>>19519375>>19519348I would counsel caution here. Give her no reason to distrust you, Young Master. She will be a powerful ally if we play our cards right - and a powerful foe if not.
>>19519378>ask if she could maybe train you in hand-to-hand a bitThis. Also, see if she has any leads on where Howling comes from.
>>19519429Old Man Henderson is a valid last ditch strategy. Our ace in the hole. Our very explosive ace.
>>19519453If she finds out about it (a very real possibility considering how closely she intends to watch us), shit will hit fans. So much shit will hit so many fans that the fans will break off and explode and send burning shit everywhere.
>>19519453I'm just saying don't overtly prep for it.>>19519399Kill you? No. Make you wish she had? Yes.
>>19519487>>19519504We'll say the Henderson is if something that we can't deal with comes a knocking.
>>19519522Except we're not expecting anything of that magnitude as of yet. There's no servants, no nigh-omnipotent demons, no shagnasties, nothing. Just a some unknown person dealing a dangerous new magical drug.Nothing so far has suggested we need anything as insane as C4. Paranoia is one thing, but maybe you're taking it a bit too far.
>>19519487...Yes. Your point being? >>19519504Look. She obviously is well-tuned to magicky stuff, so the backup-plan should obviously contain explosives. But yeah of course we should prepare something while she isn't watching us. First things first, if we live together it shouldn't be that hard get a peek inside that trombone case of her.
>>19519522Not rhe point. Let's not plan on dicking her over just cuz. And let's think long-term. What better way to pacify the Church in regards to Eliza than to have an Executor living with/near her?
An anon-bob in the previous thread had a good question: Who profits from muggles suddenly growing magic circuits? They use the drug, grow magic circuits and then they all died apparently simultaneously a few weeks later. There has to be a reason for this. Why would a mage want regular people to grow extremely stunted magic circuits before killing them all off?
>>19519580Nonsense. You can NEVER be too paranoid.
>>19519613To gather blood for magic rituals?
Yo Davey! How is Attie bound to this world these days and what would you say her powerlevel is at? Is she still leeching prana from Lizzie, or did our former master give her lover a spanking hot new body with her awesome magical powers?
>>19519622More likely the Circuits link them to something. Mistress DID say they were odd. (radiating from a single "core" within the body. Transmitter, maybe? Or reciever?)
>>19519622You could just as easily slaughter some hobos for that. Why bother giving them magic circuits?
>>19519655Mage blood contains more mana. A LOT more mana.
>>19519654Could be. We should ask Eliza whether the malformed magic circuits are always in the same place or if they appear randomly on the victims' bodies.
>>19519665I suppose, but they're not really proper magi, are they? They're barely able to cast a spell without killing themselves. I don't think we know how much mana their blood would contain.
They're harvesting. We need to figure out what sort of shit you can use these artificial mage dangley bits for.
>>19519671Definitely. And we still meed to ask Lisa about the opfor. The Church doesn't just send in the Executors for little shit.
>>19519680also i think our intel would have told us if the dead people had all their blood drained from them
"Where are we meeting?""One hour after Donovan and his father vacate." she states. "Alright. What do you know about the other-"The bell rings, and we look at each other. It'll have to wait. Class passes without incident, as we run the mile. Lisa spurs everyone forth - even the kids who normally walk it are at least jogging. She puts a lot of effort into this - despite it being a cover, she's doing her best to teach, it seems. Will she ditch it once we're working together?Classes pass, and I meed up with Donnie and his father, Boris. I help them pack a few things. He mentions offhand they'll be gone the whole week, coming back next Monday. Donovan takes me to his room, where I'll be staying, and I unpack my things as he shows me around. He has a small atalier in the basement, nothing really out there - his mother was the mage, of course. His experiments mostly have to do with the nature of flames and heat, but he's already cleared out his research. "YOu mentioned the lake, before?""Yeah. I have a familiar in it - here." he says, taking off a ring and putting it in my hand. "I won't be able to access it myself, but it has a mana supply to last this week. I put it out for practice, but..." he grins. "There's a skinny dipper practically every night. Dunno her name, but she lives across the pond. About an eight out of ten." he chuckles. So hey, free entertainment! Anyway, I should go. See you later." They leave, and I've an hour to myself. What should I do?
>>19519875We're a horny familiar. What the hell do you think we should do? Let's go check out that skinny dipper. For security purposes of course.
>>19519588>implying we're not trying to peek up her skirt insteadBob is a familiar who is fuelled by the thought of Prana Transfers. We're gonna get us some hot Catholic ass!
>>19519875Welp. Let's try and figure out the natire of that familiar, for one. Also, what kind of defenses are in place around the house? Finally, set Lisa's room up for her. Make bed, clean room, etc. no harm in being nice, right?
>>19519875Check out the pond.Also... Can you put us into the lake too, for one or two nights?
>>19519903She comes out at night, dude. There'll be time for perving later.>>19519875You're probably familiar with the place already since you're good friends with Donny. If not, scout around a bit, see what the most likely entry points would be for an enemy attacker, that sort of thing. If you're already comfortable with the layout of the place, call up your mom and ask her for more info about the Howl-users, their magic circuits and if she knows anything about how they all died. Also inform her of Lisa and the arrangement you made with her.Maybe call Thomas if Eliza doesn't know anything. How IS the one-handed perv doing these days, anyway? I can't imagine him being on too friendly terms with Eliza these days...
>>19519987Maybe call up The Em- I mean Solomon too. If anybody around here knows what's goin on, it's him.
>>19520070Yeah. The Big E might be able to help.
>>19520070I'd rather not involve Solomon at this stage of the game just yet. I'm sure he'll be pissed if this drug starts killing a lot more people (future subjects/customers, and all that jazz), but we shouldn't involve too many outside folks just yet. Also I can't help but feel like a bit of a pussy. All our options boil down to 'call others for info'. It's like we can't do anything by ourselves.
Speaking of horny...David, I want to share two memories with you.Watch closely. And REJOICE!http://pastebin.com/q1vnKPKPhttp://pastebin.com/T3p0X379http://pastebin.com/FHzaAK8q
>>19520115We want to avoid the whole "be superhero" path David seems to walk before he summoned us. Calling others for help is a reasonable action when you have an option. No need to go in danger alone.
>>19520157... No.>>19519987I call up the barrier. It seems fairly standard - a detection sphere around the house. Plus, it starts feeling warmer and warmer. Before it becomes uncomfortable, I turn it off. Seems that everything in the house is warded against fire. ... Huh, Donnie even warded my stuff too. Possibly when I was in the bathroom. So I suppose the Atalier barrier heats the place enough to incinerate the attacker, while leaving those inside and their things alone. Neat. Though, I should be sparing. It eats Prana, and it seems there's only 24 total hours of operation in it. At the heating rate I noticed, it'd take two hours to get hot enough... something you turn on before you leave, then.I call Thomas up. He claims that the Mage's Association has a few theories regarding the drug.1) It's an anti-magus terrorist. Someone has an automated system or device producing the materials. When too many people have magic circuits, then 'certain things' will occur, and weaken magic overall. 2) It's someone seeking money. The drug is sold for a lot of cash, and the high fatality rate might eventually drop as more batches are made. 3) It's someone seeking Prana and Od. The fatality rate might be him killing the users himself, spending the money to cover up the cause of death. Further, he notes, there's a strange pattern in deaths - one lunar phase. So that's what my friend meant - not a cycle, a phase.
Finally, I call mother and tell her I arrived safely. She is pleased by this, and jokingly tells me not to try to get into Lisa's pants too hard. Attie says she'll come by on the third day to give me a gift. The rest of the time is spent cleaning the guest room. The doorbell rings, on time exactly. I open it to find Lisa there, who enters without another word. She's still wearing her teacher's outfit, and doesn't seem like she's going to change. She has her case and a bag, which I take - er, no, which she takes up to her room. She returns, looking around. "What was it you wanted to ask, earlier?" she asks. I ask her about Howling, but she shakes her head. "That information was not shared with me, merely the knowledge that mages may be involved. I... believe that there was no information to share, when I was asked to come by."
>>19520157Asshole. You want to turn Master off of sex with women altogether? Those are his MOTHERS, dammit!>>19519938I'm down with this. Kiss her ass a bit. She's a powerful opponent, so make her a powerful ally. Does she have any favorite foods? Ask your some folks who might now of her food preferences, then start cooking something for her. At the very least, it'll be a gesture of goodwill. If not a cooking scene, then toy with that familiar. MAKE IT LOOK LIKE YOU'RE USING A COMPUTER (i.e. trance out staring blankly, etc). WHile she may know that there's a familiar about, don't give Lisa the impress you use familiars - it might set her off or give her the wrong idea.
>>19520380Ask her to teach you some tricks that might keep you alive kid. Can't be too careful.
>>19520380Tell her what we know. Maybe she has a theory.Speaking of which. I personally think that the dead people were failed experiments and those with "immunity" are the ones on whom drug worked as intended. Perhaps we should suggest to Eliza to check on some of them if she didn't already?
>>19520422This. This and what she wants for dinner. You can cook bro, right?
>>19520473>>19520422>>19520407These. Also, let's get out there and do some investigatin'! Now that we have Combat Goddess Backup, we should be able to handle whatever badness we end up in. And we can't just sit on our collective ass and wait for trouble to come to us.
>>19520473This. Share with her what we know. It might be useful. She knows a lot, and has dealt with similar shit before. Ask Lisa her opinion. Also, ask why the Church is interested. I'd like to know why the Church is hunting a magical crack dealer. How good are you at sensing motives, Master? She might try to decieve us, but ti's still worth asking.
>>19520565I like your spirit.but first, DINNER!
>>19520565That's why I said check out the pond. There is also not much to investigate right now. It's time for a cooking scene and tiptoing around the growing sexual tension.>Also, ask why the Church is interested. I'd like to know why the Church is hunting a magical crack dealer. Why would the church hunt someone down who turns random people into pseudo-mages. Geeeeee, I wonder! >>19520380>Attie says she'll come by on the third day to give me a gift.Let's hope its not a Dragondildo.
>>19520802Fair point. I guess a better question would be: why is the Church spooked enough to send a bloody Executor? Those don't exactly grow on trees.
There is something I were wondering. How effective your magecraft against another magus? Can you increase their blood pressure like you did to that guy or would they be able to just shrug it off?
>>19520949>implying we couldn't counter that by exponentially increasing their spell's mana consumption to lethal levels.
>>19520948And not to actually investigate but to play bodyguard to the son of extra heretic. And not any Executor but the one with a personal history with both Eliza and David.
>>19520593I tell her what I know, and she pays close attention. "Why is the church interested?""Some of those who use the drug develop usable circuits. As in, some of them become heretics - but without the training that mages are generally given by a family." she says. "In a way, these heretics are worse than ones with training. They are more unpredictable, less documented, more liable to be true monsters rather than the simple cutthroats of the Clock Tower. There is a reason there has not been a Crusade upon the Clock Tower, David, and it is not one like 'We are not yet prepared'. We do not go to war because they can serve a purpose to us - and we, to them. We may be enemies, but we are not at true odds." "...I see." "At any rate, have you inspected the defenses?" "Yes. They are not fast enough to defend against sudden assault, and would be hazardous to our own health." "I see. Very well. What is your current plan?" "Currently? Making dinner. Then we're heading out to check something out." She raises an eyebrow. "I have a few ideas. I need to check some things, make a few calls, and meet someone in town." >>19520949...Not at all. As in, if they have circuits, I probably can't hurt them with direct spells. You see, if a spell isn't complete, someone just has to generate and cycle prana through their system to prevent themselves from being effected.
>>19520981We probably can't do it at the same time... But that's still a very good idea for future use.
>>19520998I'd listen to the lady with the sword kid. Just try not to die.
>>19520998Make dinner and try to probe her about why she is the one chosen for the task given her history with your family.
>>19520998You should go with, Young Master. Also, from now on, carry you gun at all times (apart from school).
>>19521080>>19521089Personally I bet on something like "I wanted to pay the debt I owe you so later I would be able to kill you with pure conscience" but I can be wrong.
"Anything I should know before I make dinner?" "I'm vegetarian." "...Okay then! Dinner salad it is." At least this is easier than most cooking. It's simple enough to find the materials I need, and it doesn't take long to put together. She eats quietly, and I check out the familiar. ... It's a fish. A mindless fish. Though it has more clarity underwater in terms of eyesight than expected, and enough intellect to avoid capture. Nothing much to say, really. I finish my meal, and get ready to go out, putting on a coat. I'm not sure where I plan to go, as of yet, but I have a few locations in mind. Downtown Tacoma is one. I could also go to Seattle though that would be a bit of a trip. Or Gig Harbor - though that town is pretty damn clean, it's closest. It's now 5 PM.
>>19521288Closest first. Always do the closest first.
>>19521288Tacoma would probably be the best. Most likely to provide leads. Soliciting some of the drug might be useful. Give an idea of the chemical or magical processes involved in its creation. Oh, but do remember your pistol. And do remember a holster for it.
>>19521378Oh yeah. Don't forget that. Bring your gun.
>>19521288Tacoma sounds good. Also, ask Lisa to bless your bullets.
>>19521288Downtown sound good. Agreed with others: don't forget your gun. Also, question: do we know how drug affects magi?
>>19521378Let's go to Tacoma. It hits the sweet spot of druggies and not-too-far.And bring the gorram gun. We can't exactly snark magical Drug Dealers to death, yo.
>>19521345To Tacoma!I drive, pulling the gun from its home in my glove compartment, quickly checking it over. I look over Lisa. "Can you do blessings?" I ask. "Only if you have faith in God." I frown. "Okaythen." I put the extra clip in a fanny-pack, and throw a coat on over the holster. Starting the car, I head to downtown Tacoma. It's hard to be flattering about this town. There's not exactly slums, but parts of it are really old. Buildings made from actual brick, old. I keep Lisa at a distance - and see a group of hooded individuals gathered around one guy. It's not a social gathering. He soon closes a briefcase and starts walking briskly away from the group that just left, and I notice that his index and pinky finger have those claw-rings that Hot Topic sells. Only they look really sharp, and made from iron, not chromed lead. How should I approach the dealer?
>>19521626Ask if man know where drug come from. Offer money as bribe. If that doesn't work, do some Bourne-style bullet surgery, then ask again. If all else fails, make with the bashing of head and the putting in the trunk. And take him back to the house for...enhanced questioning.
>>19521626I doubt that peaceful approach will work. Send Liza to capture him then interrogate.
I HAVE FAITH! I WAS CONFIRMED AND EVERYTHING!We need to get a druggie to introduce us. We'll look like a narc otehrwise.Lisa goes and beats up a druggie. We step in and fend her off. Druggie likes us, we say we're out for a good time (indicate a desire for Howling), then have the druggie introduce us to the dealer. Bam! Diplomacy!Or we could just bribe or threaten the guy, but where's the fun in that? You wanna blow all your allowance on dope, boy?! You shame your mothers!
>>19521626Go up and solicit a hit. Something along the lines of "Hey, bro. Got a little somethin something I could buy off you?"
>>19521626Actually, no. Let's go peaceful. ish.First, just go for the bribe. If not...>show of magical force to intimidate>You feeling lucky, punk?
>>19521847It's kinda hard for us to actually show magical power. Also for all we know he is a magus or has some artifact or whatever.Bribe may work, however.
>>19521838"Hey."Lisa is far off, in sight, but not with me. He looks up - his face oddly shadowed. "Fuck off, man." "Woah, hey. I'm just looking to see if you've anything to buy." He stares at me. "You've never bought before, have you?" he asks, then chuckles and keeps walking. "Not here to buy drugs, man. Here for information."Hey, fuck you. You think I'm gonna narc on my friends, you can just go fuck yoself. I'm not selling, and you don't got the cash, so get outta my face before you get yourself a nasty 'fall', aight?"
>>19521847No. Bad move. If we have to intimidate, use the pistol.
>>19521626There is no need to be friendly, we're not here fot chitchat or to beat around the bush. Follow him, wait until he's in a more secluded location/street, pull the gun on him and ask some questions. For every answer we don't like we blast off one of his fingers.
>>19521895... Kid. How much of an idiot are you. Really.
>>19521895Well. Now there is even less of a reason to be friendly or diplomatic about it...
>>19521895Signal Lisa to move in behind him and hit him with a choke hold. KO him, put him in the trunk, drive home and interrogate. Go for simple intimidation first, and slowly ramp up the heat.
>>19521895And the penny drops.Goddamn, you don't just approach a dealer, dickhead! Dealers and their clients are tight. They don't just sell to anyone, it'd be too easy to nick them. Watch the Wire, people!>>19521895Say this:"hey, don't get huffy with me. I just want to find a chick who's into some Howling. No offense to you, buddy, but you didn't look like the type who carries it. I'm here visiting from Vancouver, and figured I'd ask someone who might know some of the dealers my cousin'd hit up."WHen he asks about the cousin, describe Rachel.Don't fuck this up, boy!
>>19521939This. Diplomacy failed (not surprising, seriously, you couldn't be less convincing if you tried), time for interrogation.
>>19521989This...would be acceptable.
>>19521989Perfect. Do it.
"Hey, don't get huffy with me. I just want to find a chick who's into some Howling. No offense to you, buddy, but you didn't look like the type who carries it. I'm here visiting from Vancouver, and figured I'd ask someone who might know some of the dealers my cousin'd hit up."He pauses, in thought. Then he makes an apparent decision. "No way, man. Get outta my face, before I make you." I raise my hands in apology, Lisa's signal as I move in. And he opens his Circuits, raising his hand. Lisa slams me out of the way, trombone case landing just ahead of her. The 'sword' pops out and into her hands as she slams it into - and THROUGH - the concrete, and the man blasts with electricity from his fingers into the weapon. Lisa shows no reaction, pulling it free as the man grunts in pain. Alisa holds the heavy weapon backwards, slightly up - not a position I've seen before, and the rest of her body in a...Boxing stance? He turns towards me, then beats feet. "Damnit! We need to capture him. He's a prime source of info." Lisa helps me up. How should I go about it?
>>19522071Knock his brain waves from Alpha/beta to Gamma or Delta. Knock him out.Or just have Lisa (the Executor, remember) tackle him.
>>19522071Pull the gun and shot one of his legs. No time for fancy stuff. ..Though I don't think there is a way a human can outrun an Executor.
>>19522150No. Last thing we should do. Shoot to kill or don't shoot. Ask for Lisa to catch him. We do not have the tools to do so.
>>19522071Send Lisa after him.
>>19522150>Assuming the guy is a baseline human>2012>LaughingAwakenedOrigins.jpg>>19522071How functional is Lisa? Was his attack at all effective against her? Block his escape. Have her tackle his ass if he resists. Talk him down gently-like. Make sure you _JUST_ want to talk. I've got no qualms about popping a cap into a magical drug-dealer, but we need this guy for his information. We don't wanna kill him, or even hurt him.All we want to do is ask about HowlingAnd don't ause a scene. We don't want mundane authroities to come in on this due to sounds of gunfire. Or worse, his magical drug-dealing friend
"Lisa, can you catch him and knock him out?" She gives me a bit of a look, then takes off after him. So fast! No wonder she wears pants, at these speeds, she'd probably be flashing everyone. I have a little trouble keeping up before she takes him down in a tight grab. "Fuck, man, I just want to ask a few questions. I'm not even a cop, for fuck's sakes! Clearly, you've used Howling." He grunts from where he is as he draws in prana and shocks Lisa - Only to find her limbs tighten. "You gonna be civil, or do we need to go for a drive?" I ask. He stares at me, then sighs. "Fine! Fine. Call off your bi-ow ow ow okay okay. Call off your /young woman of distinction/."
Oh, never mind. Just overload the motor nerves in his legs
>>19522314Don't let go. Just loosen it enough so he can talk clearly.
>>19522314Time to put on a little aggro. Nothing intense, but show who's boss."No. You've been rude to me, you've threatened me, you've tried to zap me, and then you run off when things don't go your way. You're going to explain to me all that you know about Howling, and then you're going to apologize to the lady, and you're going to do it all in a civil manner. Then, and only then, will this nice lady let you go. Capisce?"
Well, time to begin asking questions, I guess. We need to know from were drug is coming. What else?
>>19522484Sounds good to me. But first thank Lisa without dropping her name.
>>19522484I like this plan.
>>19522484Not bad, not bad. Let's prioritize where it comes from, and then everything else.
>>19522484This.Also, there are two ways this situation can end for him.If he can arrange for us to meet with someone higher on the distribution chain, go for it.If he can't - kill him. No need to let people know that someone started asking questions.
>>19522484"No. Capisce?""... Not here." he mutters, looking around. He's being very quiet. "Let me go - let me look like I won. If boss knows someone other than a dealer knows about this shit, I'm fucking toast.""That isn't my problem." "This girl is from the church, right? Ask what they do to witnesses." he growls. "Boss doesn't care about the law or any of that shit. If I tell you anything, he won't just kill me, he'll kill my family. He'll kill you, and your family. He'll try to kill her." He stares me in the eyes. "If it's a choice between you or him doing it, I know you'll be quick. Make up your mind."
>>19522571Now, now. That's wasteful. Wipe him and have done with it.
>>19522583Do it. He's willing to die to protect his family. We'll provide a quick death in exchange for info. Fair trade.
>>19522583His boss coming for Eliza, Executor and you in the open is precisely what we want actually. We have strong allies and our combined intellect. That's second to best scenario.
>>19522635Place the gun to the back of the head , just above where the spine meets the skull. He won't feel anything. Christ kid. I hate to have to tell you you need to kill a man. But if you can keep his family out of it, do it. After you get the info.
>>19522583Um. Geas him to guarantee he shows up.
>>19522697"You say he'll kill my family? That's fan-fucking-tastic, he sure as shit can try. This woman here? She's nothing compared to my mom." I lean in close. "Tell me what you know. Your family is innocent in this. I will make certain they are protected. I have contacts." "But you wouldn't protect me." "How do I know you wouldn't turn on me?" "You can sign me up a Geas." he says, practically desperate. "If my family is safe, and you can gaurentee it, I'll tell you whatever you wanna know." ... Shit. I can call mom, have her see about protective custody, maybe even use connections with the local cops for protective custody. But protecting him personally might be a massive risk...
>>19522700how do we know that geas won't be wiped somehow, i mean the higher ups seem to be a mage, and perhaps a very powerful one.
>>19522815Just kill the guy. So much unnecessery work over.. over pretty much nothing. We shouldn't care about him, nor should we care abould his family. What are we, the Junkie-Rescue-Squad? Other than that I don't believe this whole "My family is in danger"-stick, he was pretty much using the stuff himself and obviously seems to know something about magic. Wouldn't surprise me if we catched ourselves some Magi-Apprentice.Punch/torture the location of his master's lab out of hi mand then jzst out him out of his misery.
>>19522815Promise him protection. Get information. Kill or wipe him afterwards. We don't actually need to keep such promises. There is a risk, however, that he will ask you to take Geass. This is unacceptable.
>>19522815Risk? Yes.Perfect bait? Also yes. I say do it.
>>19522875Dare I even ask what the moonrunes say?
>>19522896>>19522875>>19522820>>19522815Keep and use as bait to draw boss into open. Is waste of bullet to kill scum. At least this way he is useful before we make with the killing of him.
>>19522908Usually I would agree on that, that inviting someone to get on our turf and prepare ourselves for it is a great idea. In this case however we don't even know who and how powerful is the one who pulls the strings of this whole shit. No, I just don't think this is a good idea. Yes, the Old Master and Attie are powerful but this whole thing fucking stinks. This is clearly beyond the capability of some run-of-the-mill-mage. So I'll go with no. Find out as much as you can and then dispose of him.
>>19522815>>19522908"...Fine. But you'll be a captive, not a guest. I can't trust you. Do anything out of line, and I'll either kill you - or I'll just wipe your entire being." "Do not presume things of me, David." Lisa says, speaking up for the first time. "Nor should you presume silence to be permission or compliance." I raise an eyebrow. "Can you knock him out, at least?" "... Fine." she says, slamming her fist onto his head. He slumps over. "That was awful precise." "I told you. Live capture." she hefts the body, and I open the trunk. We drive off, and I call mom. "Heeeey. Uh. I got something for you." "What would that be?" "How about a Howling dealer ready to talk?" "YOu can't be - look, just bring him here. I'll deal with the implications." "I did promise him protection. And his family." "You put innocents in danger for this?" Mom asks angrily. "You realize that anything can be a familiar, right? Even the damn crows? If he saw that charade you probably put up, he's not going to fuck around!" "But-" "No fucking buts! Deliver him here. What the hell does Bob have to say for this?!"
>>19523027I'm willing to bet it's ritual magic. You don't have to be a master magus to do some big shit if you have the time, materials, and patience to do the ritualshit. If I'm right, this git could be some two-bit Darth Bathrobe like those pornstar sorceresses our old Boss fought back in Chicago. If not...pic related.
>>19523049Bob has to say this: "Kid in the cauldron", "Bus full of bystanders".>capcha: easuft.Yeah, Old Master seems to become soft.
>>19523064I was thinking along the lines of True Ancestor kind of shit.. >>19523049>"No fucking buts! Deliver him here. What the hell does Bob have to say for this?!"Bob was saying that this is a bad fucking idea even as far bad fucking ideas go.
>>19523112"Bob says something about a cauldron and a bus?" "That was ten years ago. I've learned a lot. These folks have nothing to do with all this... God damnit." >>19523148Look, I'm not used to listening to you. Usually you sound... Well, evil. "Look, I'm sorry. I thought we could act fast enough and I was doing the right thing." "... We'll salvage what we can. Consider the family to be a sacrifice for this information. And if he comes direct, so be it." The trunk is screaming in pain.
>>19523049Bob says this could work to our advantage if we play our cards right. Bob says that what David just inadvertently did is force the Enemy to move prematurely or risk being completely compromised.Get this fucker to Mistress, David. You and Lisa and Mistress and Atalanta should fort up and wait for the storm to break. They'll come to you.
>>19523220Ah, fuck. Tell me there wasn't a psychic suicide trigger implanted in him.
>>19523064>>19523148>Bob has to say this: "Kid in the cauldron", "Bus full of bystanders".This. "One: Bob thought this was a dumbfuck idea. Two: don't start lecturing about innocent lives. Remember the Grail War. Besides, the church woman's supposed to do the moralizing around here.">>19523220FFFFFF- They activated a killswitch, didn't they? Our little squealer just caught fire or imploded or shit.Go and check the trunk, kid. Expect the Chunky Salsa rule.
>Consider the family to be a sacrifice for this information.Sounds fair to me>The trunk is screaming in pain. What was it? Investigate. Better yet, send Executor to investigate.
>>19523251Fuck. We just doomed an entire family. Great job kid.Told you you should have asked him for the info, and even if he refused, capped him, one shot just above where the spinal column meets the skull.
>>19523220Now that really hurts my feelings. My priority is to keep you alive, master. And I'm very pragmatic about that. Also I would just like to remind you that if we would have done things my way since the beginning we wouldn't be stuck in this situation now. Though .. If we can have some fun along the way, oh hell yeah.
>>19523348Speaking of fun.Can we do anything interesting with the dead body? Assuming it isn't very damaged.Familiars are usually made from dead bodies, right?>capcha: traceti across.Yeah, now it would be much more difficult to trace whoever is behind this.
>>19523412Our former master Eliza could pretty much do all sorts of crazy shit with a dead body since she's one of the few people capable of Sorcery... But why? Is something specific on yo -.. my mind? It's not like a corpse is good for anything.
>>19523284>Better yet, send Executor to investigate.Agreed. If he's dead we've just lost a lead. If he's gone all Serum Mutant, then Lisa can dispatch him. Problem solves itself
"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" "What now?" "He's screaming." I hang up and pull over, popping the trunk and opening it - Oh god.The skinless dealer screams at me, a symbol on his forehead bright with sickly purple light. I pull out my gun, and shoot him between the eyes. I slam the trunk shut, swearing. All that shit for nothing! I was so inept and... careless! FUCK! I sit on the bumper, and Lisa moves to put a hand on my shoulder. Then she throws me to the ground and leaps atop me, as the trunk explodes. "What the fuck!" I manage, the trunk hatch landing heavily in the road. "I've seen that symbol in Church documents." she says, "Not all is lost." "Still, I..." "You made a mistake. You attempted to be... heroic, or at least... good. And you failed. It means nothing. Especially at your age. Now let's get to your mother's." she says.I look in the trunk. There's a hole right through, nut it missed the axle. Some of the back structure is missing too. Damn, my car's getting pretty beat up. I get in the driver's seat and start driving. "Who is it?" "Not who. A school of magic." I raise an eyebrow. "Ever hear of Odin?"
>>19523508Just pondering. I was thinking about sending a "familiar" to find other leads, but that's most likely a dumb idea.On the other hand, can Third Magic or regular magecraft extract information from a corpse?Perhaps a trail from this deathswitch leading to our target...
>>19523532Fuck. Runic magic. Pretty powerful stuff as far as I remember. Anybody can list all Odin's runes?>You attempted to be... heroic, or at least... good.Remember this lesson well: being a hero is suffering. Being ruthless killer brings you healthy relationship with hot chick and mastery of the Third Magic.
>>19523532Yeah Odin, stuck himself on a tree for 9 days and learned all the magic runes. What about him?
>>19523532King of the Norse gods. Wise. had two Crows as a familiar, hugin & Muinien (Thought & Memory). We're dealing with Rune mages. Scary shit, yo.
>>19523532Holy shit, I love that guy! Turning some kind of pathetic lowlifes into a living bombs by magic? Fuck yes. This is how I wanted to win the Holy Grail War in the fisst place. I like his style. And he basically has a neverending supply of Hobo-Bombs!Oh right before I forget... the guy behind this probably now knows your and Lisa's face. Nice job breaking it, master. You and Lisa should probably stay away from your mother and Attie iand the Mansion if you don't want to endanger them.
"Rune magic? I thought that died out." "No, very much alive. Not used widely, mostly by here-" she pauses. "Mostly by /pagans/. I didn't expect to encounter this in America." I shrug. "So what are we dealing with?" "Highly efficient and variable magic. Variable at least until we know what he... well, knows. You can't learn every rune, like Odin did. Just a few. It has to do with your Element." "Really? How do you know this much?" "... I'd rather not reflect on the matter." she says, "Suffice to say, I've dealt with them in the past." "Alright." I think for a moment, then call Mom again."What now?" "The guy we had, he... Exploded." "WHAT" "Wait, no. He melted a little, first." I add. "But now we know what sort of mage we're dealing with. It's rune magic." "... I see. That explains a few things." >>19523828Am I sure I want to do this, go home and deal with the repurcussions myself? I could be a lot safer with Mom and Attie, but... I don't think Lisa likes her. At all.
>>19523937We should inform Mistress and let her see what she can get from the body. She's got Third Magic which should get us something, less than an interrogation might have, but it's a lead. Then we leave them to their stuff and head back to Donovan's place.
>>19523937>Implying she's not tsundere for your mom.But anyway, your car is fucked up and your mom knows shit about magic. She is the best resource we have right now.
>>19523937The choice is yours. If you go home now you should expect an ambush. Depending on the runes known to our enemy it may be messy. On the plus side, it will give us a lead.If go go to Eliza, she may be able to get something useful out of a corpse. Depending on how much our enemy knows about her he will either strike or lay low and tighten a grip on other dealers. I doubt he is willing to start open confrontation with a Sorceress and the Church at the same time.
>>19523968Arrange for Eliza to pickup the body/remnants. Also, try and get the car fixed. You any good with automechanic? (we can fill you in on the how-tos, if you're good with your hands)Also, try and do more research on Rune magic (particularly how Lisa is related to it. Who or what does she know?)
>>19524089>Old Touko designI must interrupt this programming to say 2/10 would not bang.
>>19523937>"... I'd rather not reflect on the matter." she says, "Suffice to say, I've dealt with them in the past." Yeah.. her being here smells less and less of coincidence. >I could be a lot safer with Mom and Attie, but... I don't think Lisa likes her. Do you really believe that? Eliza is one heck of sorcerer.. But she still is a human. Back then she had me-.. Us. And I'm not sure if even she could really protect you and the rest of your family from someone who can basically use his goons as living bombs. Other than that, what would be the next step? Would you feel at ease if your mother or Attie are targeted when we're out and investigating? By keeping your distance now, you could keep them save. It is your call, master. Also ask Lisa if she senses something unusual around us. She's an Executor, she should be able to sense familiars.
>>19524071Arrange for a pickup. Is there a dumpster nearby where we KNOW there is no pickup for today? Set a time. Bail the body at the site at the EXACT time. Eliza & Attie pick it up at the exact time. We both keep moving and keep any potential spies on their toes.
>>19523983So you think that Lisa angry at our Old Master because she wasn't invited for hot lesbo sex?Makes sense for me.Shall we work exclusively on David harem or attempt to arrange some... new experience for Eliza? Just for the old times?
I think for a moment. There are some remains - oddly, the head survived. "Mom. I'm going to leave a head at a specific place in a few minutes. Can you pick it up? The death was only a few minutes ago." "That would give us more info, yes. Have you decided against coming home?" "Yeah. It just... I don't want to lead him to you." "...Be safe. I love you." "Love you too mom. It'll be at the gas station. In the ditch pipe. We can't meet up." "Understood." I stop at the gas station and drop off the head. "Can you sense Familiars?" "Naturally. None nearby. And someone using runecasting would have to use ravens. I mean... Ravens. Not crows." "There's a difference?" "... Yes. There's a huge difference. Ravens are enormous." I sigh as we head home. "I feel so... stupid." She grunts in agreement. We arrive back home. A package rests on the ground, just outside of the atalier barrier.
>>19524163But that's unChristian! The Church wouldn't approve of one of its top operatives engaging in such licentious acts! </sarcasm>Arrange for a drop off. Leave the body before we can do anything. Do not stop for pleadantries. Orange alert, master
>>19524226Send Executor to examine package. She is our meatshield after all.
>>19524226Do not trust the package David, never trust packages.Have Lisa do a preliminary check with her Church powers, then scan it yourself, then have her open it with a ten foot pole while you hide behind something solid.
>>19524226FFFF-Letter bomb! Letter bomb! Let the Executor deal with it!master, we need a drink! A good, stiff drink!Whiskey, sherry, the shit they used to clean the sink: we're gonnd need some booze if we're gonna hold up against this shit.
>>19524226Let Lisa pick it up.She's one of those people who wouldn't die even when they're killed. What I mean by that is... Executors are sturdy and well.. magicky. That's why I was saying C4 back than, though I'm not sure if even that would manage to kill her...
>>19524284The only way C4 wouldn't kill her is that you used an insufficient amount of C4.
>>19524284Roastbeef is pretty dead though.
>>19524281Drink is a good idea no matter what we deal with.We started a Holy Grail War completely drunk which indirectly lead to summoning Odysseus which brought us victory in the end. After dealing with package I expect you to get drunk. Possibly make Lisa get drunk as well.Trust me: there is no way it could possibly go wrong.
>>19524305Thats not true! That depends entierly on the Route.
>>19524376She's technically dead before the events of Melty blood. She's literally only "alive" because of Sion supplying the brain power and magic to keep her existing. And that's the reason why there's so much gay fanart of them together
>>19524356Yeah. Amen to that. You just have to sell her that whole "Blood of Christ"-Shit well enough.
>>19524226Get the Executor to open it, ideally inside a safe-room inside the house. (Can't risk sending off emergency flares now.) Proceed with extreme caution
>>19524425We'll have to remind master not to get too drunk, he can't lose his wit and charm. Also, classy alcohol, we're trying to impress someone here.
>>19524376And now, Master, you saw a true face of evil. And you know how this particular part of us become so dark.>capcha: equipt nassrmaI don't know what nassrma is, but it sounds good.
"Lisa. Can you..." "Yes." she walks to pick up the box, then holds it to her ear, eyes closed. Then she stares at it. Then she pulls out her weapon, and for the first time, I see her invoke it."Mercy is the only gift I have to give." she declares, and the whole thing lights up - a shining light surrounding the basic pole at the center. She brings down the blade on the box, then undoes it - "Death is the duty of another." then she sighs, and finally pulls out a knife, kneeling beside it. Carefully, she opens it - long slits in the packaging, then she opens it normally. "Just a letter. There's no magic tied to it, either." She hands it to me, and I read. 'So you are David. I had wondered what would come of you. What you would grow to be - like Eliza, or like you were meant to be. You see, boy, have you not ever wondered - where are your parents? Your real ones. And your magic - why there is not any contemporary or even old writings about it? Have you not wondered - why am I so unique? Ah, what little you know. The dreams should be happening now. Manifestations of your greatness also. Some sort of fire, I imagine... I can tell you more. I can reveal many things to you, for I've watched you for a long time - longer than Atalanta or Eliza. I kept you safe until the War. You can call me Sunderland. Or Fire-Keeper. I go by both. In either case - I shall be keeping an eye on you.' The text at the bottom swirls a little. 'As for you, Bob, no, Alcohol is not the way to go with this one. I suggest being respectful if you want to woo her. Or have a chance, anyway.'
>>19524642Interesting, someone knows a lot about you. Don't show this to Lisa. First off, Mistress and Attie are your real parents, just because they aren't your biological parents doesn't mean they aren't your real parents. Secondly keep this in mind, but your first priority is this Howl stuff.Thirdly break out a nice bottle of wine to go with dinner, it maintains class, though you should be careful about drinking too much.
>>19524642Well... Fuck. Someone can read our suggestions. And he either conjured a letter right before Lisa opened package or he is able to somehow predict our advices... Which isn't very hard, come to think of it.Hide a letter from Lisa - no need for her to know about your plans on her.Otherwise act like nothing happened. A message is something to think about, sure, but right now we can't do anything about it...
>>19524305>Roastbeefoh shit.oh man.I know who I need for a heroic spirit.Son of Rodney and Roast BeefOnly dual winners of the Great Outdoor Fight.
>>19524749Well, I doubt she could read the text at the bottom, it swirling indicates there's some weird magic going on, but we still shouldn't show it to her. David, if she asks just say it's personal and not really relevant to the matters at hand.
>>19524827Magic that Executor apparently can't sense... Or destroy.Dangerous.And something tells me that that's the guy we are looking for. Or at least he somehow connected to the mess. Also, >>19524689 is right. Eliza and Attie are your real parents. Don't ever forget it.Aside: it's a good thing our Master doesn't know that we and Eliza wanted to kill him at one point.
I fold it up and put it in my pocket. "It's not relevant to the matter at hand." I find myself saying. "Eggs okay with you?" I ask. She pauses, then nods. "Okay, good, because I can only do salad for so long before it starts getting boring. Maybe we can go to town some time and get some veggy burger patties or something. I can whip up some good food with that." A decently proportioned greek salad, and then I think for a moment. Nah. I don't really want to do wine. For one thing, we could be attacked at any moment. For another, I'm underage. For yet another, it'd feel like... Cheating, somehow? I dunno. I agree with the letter. I sit down to dinner and find it... quiet.
>>19524970What time is it?Earlier she told us about her plans to investigate. Are they still relevant? If you don't have any pressing matters, it's a good time for some small talk. I'm still curious why she of all people was chosen for the job.>I agree with the letter.Dear Bobs, I think I know an evil plan of this Fire-Keeper.He wants to become a new Bob and replace us as Master's source of wisdom!
>>19525070I don't think anyone could replace us as a repository of wisdom, we have a proven track record, that guy just has a creepy letter.>>19524970Well, make some conversation with the girl David. Talk about Attie's apples, life here, light conversation. There'll be plenty of time for heavy stuff later.
>>19524956Until you mentioned it. Nice going, fellow Bob. Though I'm pretty sure that I was the only one who suggested that and was willing to follow it through. But somehow everything went weird and we abandoned that idea.No hard feelings, eh?
>>19525258It's cool Black Bob, sometimes we need some vicious ruthlessness to make it through things. Still, I'm glad we didn't go through with that, David is a nice kid and everything worked out.
>>19524956>>19525258...I...Well, it's alright. You didn't do it in any case. I can't really be mad at you for sentiments like that. Probably thought I was creepy. Small talk with her doesn't exactly go well. She seems... uninterested in most subjects, though she comments that she would not mind trying some of Attie's apples. Time passes, and the meal is finished. "You can take the first shower." I mention offhand, stretching. She nods and wanders off, while I get to work on the dishes. I finish as I hear the water start up, and then I realize that their bathroom door doesn't latch. ...Nah, I shouldn't even consider it. I've better shit to do, right?
>>19525361Kid, this tactic worked for your mother, but Attie is entirely different than this girl. Finish the dishes and read a book or something. As tempting as it is, for the both of us, you should let this chance go. It'll be worth it.
>>19525361If only I had prehensile eye-stalks... By which, I mean that thou art correct, young master. She is not the type to miss that sort of observation, and it is for little gain.
>>19525361Well.. It's probably a bad idea to peep on her, but no one can blame you if you accidentally walk in on her while she's changing!
>>19525639Bad Black Bob, that tactic won't work here. We'll convince David to be a gentleman.
>>19525391>>19525434>>19525639Right. I'll just... Read a book! I head downstairs and do my magic studies quietly, waiting for her to finish. Time passes, and I take my own shower. It isn't long before I'm back in bed, sleeping - and anothe dream comes upon me. It's longer, this time. This time, the tubing is thicker, attatched to me painfully. The gears in the distance rotate faster than before, and where fire blossomed on my arms in the past, now it only flickers. something is deeply foreboding. I don't understand it. I don't, I don't.... get it.((End of thread two. TIGER DOJO STARTS NOW, until 404. ))
>>19525735So, how badly would we have screwed ourselves over if we went to peek in the shower?
>>19525890THe funny thingIs that she probably wouldn't have cared all that much. Lisa doesn't really see herself as female, or at least not in a sexual way. She doesn't really think herself worth covering up, to be honest, or dressing up.
>>19525959I'm not surprised at all.
>>19526121And here I worried about writing her right.
>>19526160Though from my Real-Life-Expierience with nuns they are pretty much either No-Fun-Allowed down to the core or the creepy-smiling kind. And all of them are pretty unsettling.
>>19525735That swirly text, David could read it, could anyone else have read it, and if they could would it have taken effort and/or magic?
Damn time zones. Archived, tho.Aside: Good run, mate. the dealer-bomb was a nice touch. And now Odhinn? Hoo, shit. Dis gon b gud,
Shit. Internet died on me. At least I didn't miss much.Does David knows RAP. As in, Reinforcement, Alteration, Projection?I was under the impression that it's basic stuff that even Shirou knew to some decree.
>>19529131If you ever read FSN you'd understand just how useless and inefficient those are compared to any other magic.
>>19529162I know it. Without bullshit haxx anyway.Still, it may come in handy in some situations and I would like to know our full resources.
>>19529131He knows OF them, but cannot use these magics. Due to certain weirdnesses of his abilities, David is even MORE focused than most Nasu mages. >>19526308Actually, only Bob could - but you revealed it to him anyway.
>>19529557>Actually, only Bob could - but you revealed it to him anyway. Can this Fire-Keeper actually read what we write here or was letter enchanted to respond to whatever we were saying at the moment?
>>19529629The latter, and only that text, not the letter as a whole.
By the way...I'm probably going to run the quest earlier next week. Expect it around ten AM or sooner.
>>19530085What time zone?
>>19530396My apologies, Pacific.
