The IRC is the suptg IRC and we're on the #FiveNationsGeneral channel.

Last time we were in the midst of a brawl with our beloved team-mate, Yuki. She just speared us through the stomach for about 1/2 our health, so we'll see how we proceed.

Can we come up with any response other than 'AAARRGGHHHH MY SPLEEEEEN!!!'?

    If so, then maybe:

"Nnn...good. Now show me your best."

*Rev up sword and Steam-up armour*

    Wat roll 4 dese?

Two actions per turn. So turning on your Avatar of the Sea ability will be 1, and then attacking with the steam is another.

    Fucking dicebot, man.

Your blade slams into her again and her bones seem to absorb all the damage once again. However, the blast of steam from your blade causes her to cry out in surprise pain as she stumbles back.

(5 Water Talent (no greatsword damage) +3 Steam (No greatsword damage taken))

16 damage to her. I would disavow using your sword again, personally.
    >> Anonymous 10/08/11(Sat)00:18 No.16555491
No but that just seems to be her most likely reaction. 'Surround self in bones to avoid bisection,' seems high on her priority list.

We're trying to push both her and us, using things we haven't used before is necessary. Simaru only has like one non lethal option and that's water prison. Which probably won't work since she can just grow her bones right out of it.

If she is completely out of control in this state I think we should be trying to restrain her and talk her down. How the fuck do you restrain her when grappling is just asking to get skewered and she can probably still bonespear us from inside a water prison? Maybe we can just parry and talk. Being able to talk her out of the rage would be a good basis for a bond as well.

"Yuki! You've lost control. This is no way to train with a friend."

Her blows fall against your shield like rain on a rooftop. However, there are a few times as you block that you see one of her bones suddenly launch up at your various squishy bits. Your words, however, seem to pull away at her rage as she struggles against it she finally collapses and grips her head, the bones running in and out of her body like series of pistons as she fights against the rage, panting hard and then smashing the ground several times, the bone spikes in the ground sinking back down as she controls herself as best as she can, dust rising before she finally stops.

When she rises she is much different. Her bones appear to not be jutting out of her like they were before, but instead form an insectoid carapace, the armor shifting as she moves. Her wrist blades, the hypoderms, are now fully developed needle-like blades with an easy grip for her. Additionally she is no longer visibly protruding bone, but that armor looks tougher than ever before. She appears to be tougher than ever, solid bone and completely in control, "Captain...are you alright?" she asks with concern as she runs over to you, kneels and heals the wound in your stomach as you control your breathing.

She is overjoyed at your suggestion of drinks, but you can see a small bit of disappointment in her eyes at the mention of ANBU and the other Swordsmen, but she acquiesces.

The ANBU in question take you to the depths of their HQ where they have Kisame, seated and restrained by hundreds of metal chains with tags on them. "Oh! Kohai! How are you?" Kisame asks jovially as he smiles, the chakra locking seal over his teeth now as well as his tongue.

    Hey, I trust him.

We believe him to be an honest man, so what do we have to think that he will betray our trust?
Nothing so far as we know.

And I really doubt Akatsuki will try anything subversive so early. I think they will first recruit all of the villages, then spend some time to gain trust, then some more time to subvert village ninjas and only after that will they shoe their true colors (we are not even sure if they are nefarious).
This will take at least half a year, if Kisame and Satori break their deal before the trial period ends, they can be sure that hidden village of Mist, Leaf and Stone will pull out of the alliance.
I do not really think they want that.

"Promise me you wont try anything, senpai" If we really want to be sure (I doubt he will go against his word)

Soon you and four agents are on the field training in using your cloaks like the ANBU are trained. You can use them as part of a clever cover for a clone swap, you can use them as a shield for genjutsu which you launch from your mask, you can use them even in taijutsu as a distraction to guise your body's true position.

First: Let's get that battlenet genjutsu set up for us, saito, and... tossup between gendo and mangetsu.
Second: We need to sit down and plan out an escape route through neutral territories if shit does go down.
Third: Check in with Aya and find out all there is to know about Amegakure, we are NOT going in blind.
Fourth: Go back and talk with the ANBU leader again, work out a system of "Are we fucked? Y/N/ADFJLJFL:OIJFL:JFKJFWOPJ!" sign language if a pre-existing one is absent.

To clarify: I intend to have saito and gendo or mugetsu shadowing us to the meeting and hiding nearby, immediately informing us through the battlenet genjutsu if they sense anything wrong.

That's very dangerous. Not only from detection by Amegakure ANBU, but also detection by the other members.

    The other three are fine.

Information from all parties is extremely light. Despite the Hidden Rain being a universal stomping ground, their individual information is very low. Hanzo is the only figure who has any knowledge on him, and the majority of knowledge on his village is about him.

Rather than a set of hand signs to show when there's a problem, I think it far more useful if we have a dead-man switch apparatus placed outside the Village that will be triggered if not reset every other day or so.

You alert the Mizukage to your actions and depart to Amegakure under cover of night.

You arrive at the apparently abandoned building of the Wet Ground and push the wooden door open, its bottom scraping against the floor. Inside you find Fuyo sitting in a chair, Shikamaru standing up with a map on the table, smoking, and lastly a man with a headcloth covering one of his eyes and a sour expression on his face. "Oh, Shimaru-san, welcome." Shikaku says as he points to your seat, "We were just discussing Akatsuki's movements. Why don't you go in depth and tell us why you called us out here."

Lord Hokage, however, seems pleased by the peace we've been given." He says. The man from the Sand, Baki, nods and speaks, "Yes....I can see where you get these sentiments. However, no one in the Sand trusts Akatsuki." He admits, Fuyo finally saying, "Stone is mistrustful as well."

Shikaku nods, "Well...seeing how we all have our reservations...." he says hesitantly before speaking, "Maybe...we need to make some arrangements." He says before looking at everyone gathered, then leaning close, "Maybe we need to operate outside the village structure." He says, making everyone stand up almost at once, everyone making heated comments.

Regardless, the Daimyo are overjoyed at the money being made and since the other nations are disarmed they are fine without having to pay money towards the villages. They see it as saving money by putting it towards a common goal, or something like that." he says and rubs his goatee, "Therefor, the only ones who are able to see the truth and act on it are we four." He looks around and speaks, "I propose we form a society dedicated to tearing down the Akatsuki's lies, and steering our world in the right direction." He says, "We need to operate in secret. None may know of this beyond us four. Regardless of orders or how close they are." All three sets of eyes drift to Baki as he removes his turban and looks at it, sighing and throws his in as well, "I too cannot allow this to pass." He said and Shikaku rises, "Then we are united. The Four Winds Society will be our operating name." There are no arguments as he burns the headbands up and once the cloth is burned away he takes the metal plates and puts them together, wrapping them up as he pierces them with his shadow needles. "We need a means of communicating with one another with speed. He says and turns to the door, pulling on his cloak again as he faces you all, "Be safe gentlemen, the world's well-being may depend on us." And with that he shunshins away. Fuyo walks up and shakes your hand and pats Baki on the shoulder before sinking into the ground. Baki nods and vanishes in a puff of sand, all of them making their various ways out. The water provides a nice path for you to slip out of the village in as you sink into a pool of water and re-emerge at the Hidden Rain's gate, leaving without a sound.

A week passes without much event, a few missions are done and you train with your men. However, when the time to meet Orochimaru comes Mangetsu is eagerly pacing from foot to foot at the gates as he waits for you. When the two of you arrive, almost as if on cue, Leader's guards appear and one of them, the tallest and largest, speaks with a deep voice, "Master Orochimaru is waiting for you in the glen ahead. He and Master Sasori are expecting you."

They depart without incident, but when you arrive in the glen you see Orochimaru and Sasori speaking to one another in their Akatsuki robes, the tall pale figure of Orochi standing in stark contrast to the short figure of Sasori. "Orochimaru. They're here." The man turns to face you with bright eyes as his serpent-like eyes narrow, "Oh...Shimaru Yamada...." The man says with his trademarked his as he opens his arms, "It's been a while Shimaru-kun, how can I help you? I was told you directly sought my attentions? I'm honored." If no one else is going to suggest an alternative course of action, I'm going to go with giving Orochimaru our bones.

When Orochimaru answers in the affirmative, extend a bone spike from our wrist and break it off.
    Look over to Mangetsu.

I don't see why we couldn't give him a sample from our hand after showing him some shikotsumyaku (hell it might be affected by our chakra now and mess it up for however he wants to use it), but it's still technically from Yuki, so doing it without her permission isn't so cool. In fact, I would say the secrets of a kekkei genkai belong to the village and it isn't something we should be giving away on our own.

And of course we need to know what the experiment is and some way to make sure nothing goes awry.

Although our successful transplant might be it's own secret we don't want him to know about, but I assume he would be able to figure it out on his own pretty fast, unless it requires shikotsumyaku to perform.

Capturing Killer B sounds like an awesome objective. They are already trying to invade us. We'd need to talk to people about capture tactics. Once he is beaten, ANBU has fuinjutsu that are helpful, and Gen might be able to help us be able to apply them on the battlefield ourselves. Genjutsu would probably help in pacifying him as well. Maybe using the summoning jutsu to remove him from the battlefield...

(giving Orochimaru shikotsumyaku isn't worth anything he would give us, although why is he so interested in B...?)
    >> Anonymous 10/10/11(Mon)05:50 No.16578557
OOC knowledge: He probably wants B as a new physical vessel.
The massive chakra reserves that B has would make him a very valuable new body, especially in a world that has no biju.

How many others want to go after B?
    >> Anonymous 10/10/11(Mon)06:03 No.16578599
One more thing; we don't know what kinds of kekkei genkai's or other Cloud secrets might be in B's body. In-character, Shimaru doesn't know that Orochimaru is constantly on the lookout for new host bodies.
All we would know is, we're being asking to provide information on a Mist weapon (shikotsumyaku) versus an unknown, possible super-weapon, in the form of B.
    >> Anonymous 10/10/11(Mon)08:49 No.16579152
Yes, first Shimaru should be wary Orochimaru see's possession of B as equal to the secrets of the shikotsumyaku.

Second, irc was talking, and if things turn sour with Akatsuki, the Cloud are the best bet for fighting back. They have had the least interaction and no known defectors, so there is little likelihood of corruption. There was an idea involving capturing B (perhaps as a Four Winds operation) explaining our position, and then releasing him to show our goodwill, hoping he would cooperate with the Four Winds Society. This of course has the problems of 'capturing B,' 'having the Four Winds accept him,' 'releasing him without it being an outright betrayal of our village,' and 'him actually listening to us.' Also that we would be giving up Orochimaru's deal. (I vote against giving him shikotsumyaku, and B is still questionable) Definitely more big choices to make.

A note, but there still is that healing and poison expect from the Village of the Hidden Sand. We could suggest this to Mangetsu because I really don't like the idea of Orochimaru getting his hands on anything important. A S-Class Missing-nin who specializes in tearing out the kekkie genkai of Ninja and using them against everyone just seems like a bad idea.

Also, bring this up with 'The Four Winds' in hopes that they can think of a way to trick Snake to heal one of our great friends.

Also, if we're going back and waiting, lets focus on training up with Waraji and Saito - who we should make sure is ok because of being attacked by The Leader.

Shimaru was incapable of breaking her bones with his enhanced sword, and she can have her osteoclasts dissolve the bones when she is done with them. I think it is a lot harder to find Kaguya bonebits than you imagine.

The Dawn and the Cloud are a much trickier game, though. At this point, the Cloud will probably be ground into submission by Akatsuki's vassal armies. If it was village forces, The Four Winds could try to influence combat to be as static as possible, especially someone like Shikaku (Shimaru, maybe not so much), but Satori will probably be using his own lieutenants. What would we be achieving anyway? Satori can easily wait until the month is over and he has a firmer grip on the villages, and if he is immortal he can wait as long as he wants. What is even the ideal situation? If the Cloud did exactly what we wanted what would that be? Remaining a non-hostile, yet separate, entity? We might be able to get a non-aggression pact between Akatsuki and The Land of Lightning/Kumogakure, leaving them as an independent force we can turn to should things go bad. Or that might just lead to Satori getting his diplomacy on with them too...

What is it we really need to do? Establish some kind of response should Satori turn out to not be the Messiah we were hoping. The obvious one being a military/assassination response, from what forces the Kage and Four Winds are able to prepare, possibly including the Cloud. There is also the possibility of negotiating for strong political positioning once the month is up, so the villages can have more of a say in what is going on...

"A Bijuu did it, I swear!"

    "A what now?"

"There are these voices in my head that call themselves the tailed beasts, they claim to be enormous beings made of pure chakra- They've been mentoring me in the ancient art of Dope Rhymes."

"...It's official, we broke him. Well, Yuki- I don't suppose you've got a way to UNFUCK him?"

"Don't look at me, I didn't do this to him"

"Oh please, you've been boning him every day for the past week and a half, all that furious grinding together has made the poor guy sick in the head."

"Guys it's the truth! And they also told me some dickbag with a swirly mask wants to use them in a massive genjutsu where he looks at the moon and controls the entire world!"

Trying to get Chiyo to heal Mangetsu is pretty much impossible, I think.
First, she's not specialized in the techniques necessary. She's a poison specialist, not a surgeon.
Second, even Tsunade said that Orochimaru is the only one skilled enough to pull off the operation. Considering how much she and Jiraiya do not like him, wouldn't she have suggested Chiyo if Tsunade thought that it might be an a alternative?
Third, it's still letting another Village's medical specialist examine in detail the shikotsumyaku.

Also, I think that bringing this up with the Four Winds is highly unprofessional and quite frankly insulting to them. The society essentially asked each member to betray their Village in order to protect it, and now you just want to go to them with any little problem we have, even though this only tangentially involves Akatsuki?

If you don't want to give Orochimaru the bone fragments, and you don't want to hand B over to him, then the only option left is to just abandon the deal.

I'm suggesting Chiyo because that was one of the people suggested when we first looked into healing Mangetsu.

I want want to bring this up with The Four Winds in case they have ideas regarding giving Akatsuki Killa B or having Akatsuki member in a room alone with two Swordmen of the Mist.

She was specifically listed as second-ranked next to Tsunade. What makes you think Chiyo would be able to heal Mangetsu if Tsunade couldn't?

I say we completely reject Orochimaru's offer. It is NOT worth needlessly risking lives in a near impossible capture mission, nor handing out Kekkei Genkai to known terrorists, just to slightly boost the health of one swordsman.

    Slightly boost?
Currently Mangetsu has trouble controlling his ability to switch from water to solid, prone to fits of exhaustion, and will sometimes be so exhausted he can barely get out of bed.
Mechanically, he has a -2 to all of his dice pools and his health is cut in 1/2.
That's not exactly a minor thing.

    >'Make up your mind, because Tsunade failed to mention how much exactly Mangetsu will feel his weakness.'
I agree, but this is what worries me. Because I don't know who to trust. So I suggest we have Yuki look at Mangetsu and, if we're going to Sand, Chiyo too.

Because Chiyo might be able to check up on Mangetsu and because she might be able to fix up other parts of Mangetsu's health.

At most we give Orochimaru a slice of our bone arm. Giving him a purer sample is out of the question.
    >> Anonymous 10/10/11(Mon)18:07 No.16583553
If we do, I don't think we should him or tell him where we got it from.
    >> Anonymous 10/10/11(Mon)18:19 No.16583677
If we were willing to give him some Kaguya bone, we don't know which would be more valuable to him. One from our hand may be less 'pure,' but it might show evidence of how the transplant was performed. We would have to ask the Mizukage anyways, since we are bargaining with her tokens, and asking Yuki would be appropriate. We can ask Yuki if a piece from our hand would be less useful to Orochimaru, but if it is as good as the original (or god forbid, more helpful) then I definitely don't want to give it to Orochimaru; though if the Mizukage wanted to she could order the exchange be made.

    >because she might be able to fix up other parts of Mangetsu's health
So you're going to ignore and disbelieve Tsunade and Jiraiya when they said that hte only person who has the skill to continue Mangetsu's treatment is Orochimaru?
You got any good reasons for that?
