    Yeah, Gunther would sure he helpful, I was thinking he'd take out that group of enemies south of him.

    Our primary objective should be either securing, or neutralizing the second airship. If we could get a smoke grenade to lure it out like the first airship, then have a caster put the whammy on it, we'd be golden.

    Gunther [Bt1] attack the Duallhan then the phase after move into postion to attack the voss on the roof

    Vipera [S2] shoot down the scout on the roof then hide in the bushes.

    Daughterty [M2] Should attack the marauder if possible then put a flag if I fail to kill to kill the marauder encircling me

    [Hr1] Should kill that duallahan next to him

    [V1] Will try to kill the surrounding marauder and plant a flag if she succeed.

    Is the terrain of the downed airship even considered clear? I wouldn't think it would be terribly practical moving through a flaming and frozen wreck.     Corpse Duty wasn't a fun one, but it was one Marks was suited for. A big man, he was able to lift the bodies on his own, laying them out, what ones he could, for the Lt's approval.

    The last one was the hardest. Jamie Michelson, fresh to the war, his latest partner. Marks had watched his friend Weathers charge into battle, roaring as he died. And he'd had to watch this kid get ripped apart his second battle. He sighed, sadly. This campaign was costing so many good men.

    Unfortunately there will be some side effects here. Depending on the brain damage, Mana could suffer from one of the post mortem symptoms ... but she is as fit as she was - and more so in fact.

    Procedures like this take up a whole night to do, so I'm afraid we can't convert ALL our dead in time to get as good a retention right as Mana does.

    Very Well, Captain, we will make the necessary arrangements to widen your dossier. With more manpower behind you , the punches we make against the Voss will be felt and harder to quell.

    > Platoon Squads
    Units can now have platoon strength troops comprising of up to 3 combined units and no more than 2 types. Example; a Platoon with Vanguards and Assaut will be [VAV1] , [AAV2] [VAA3] or [AVV4]. Upgrades will be communicable across all members of your unit.

    Platoons cannot break unit cohesion and cannot be spaced more than 1 hex apart. Unless given the order to " Post " in which the unit will remain stationary until called. In which case they will make it to your Platoon at their best possible speed and only that.

    At the end of each action Platoons must take special care in how they are formationed. Box, Circle, Arrow, Line, and Wall formations are among the most basic formations. With sub variations in scatter. 2scatter means no more than 2 members occupy a space. 1scatter means the unit is fanned out as best as possible. Also take into account which units will favor the front, and which will bring up the rear, this is important in determining attack patterns as the front will typically attack first with rear on clean up.

    Attack Pattern:
    Designate attack patterns in chunks of Front, Rear, Leftern or Rightern in combination with unit type to make processing easier. With 3 squads under your unit, micro ordering by single units will not get processed.

    Movement: The platoon will move only as fast as its slowest Unit. However, faster Units can extend to the front of elongated formations.

    And other AOE capable units like Enemy Armor, Ms Casters, and easily identifiable traps.

    As a final caveat to having strengthened infantry, we've allowed a few more unit types to join the roster. Any preference in roles, Captain ?

    Granted, this one is a bit simplistic, but I was thinking of developing this naming convention to use with some of the more commonly used or complex maneuvers to save time.     To see if I have a solid grasp of both Platoon command and your suggestion:

    There's a Platoon of [VMV]

    They could have a Maneuver: Bomb in the Box.
    >V scatter 1 to all hexes adjacent to M.
    >V shield away from M.

    This creates a defensive position for the M(or H, or S) unit to fire on the enemy, given his 360 degree protection from the Vanguard.

    I considered the same question, as well as how XP is distributed.

    The easiest answer, for command, is that each unit acquires Xp at its own rate, with the player keeping track of all three units.

    On the other hand, the units aren't independent, given their inability to divide from the others, so some form of sharing makes sense. IN my aforementioned Bomb in a Box example, it's not had to imagine that the M gets the lion's share of the kills. But if he strengthens while his guardians do not, eventually their defense will mean little.

    On another hand, a three S platoon, or any long ranged weapon guy and two scouts promises to be interesting, assuming the Spot ability of the S's carries over.

    I've always assumed the +1 is to hit.

    So the scout spends an action measuring the distance, checking wind speed, etc, and gets a +1 to hit the target.

    So a three scout platoon could potentially Spot, spot, and fire, raising their 7 to-hit to a 9.

    Which raises the question: if the scout firing/the platoon has the Hawk Aspect, which gives an additional +1 to accuracy, does that mean a 3 Scout Platoon could potentially never miss when firing within their range? Or are 10's always failures?

    Tens are always Failures. However when units get their hit over 9 those benefits can go into ignoring penalties like Range , Cover, and called shots. There is no ceiling for how many +s a unit gets and past +6 I tend to just give it to you unless it happens to look extra impossible.

    Rolling a 1 with this many benefits will pretty much critically destroy 1 or 2 units.


    Also nothing is stopping you from discussing tactics here. It takes me more than 14 minutes to process a turn.

    Adding more pilots to a single vehichle allows for more operations.

    They also halve the roster count for armor that usually take up 2 spaces.
