    The casting rules, if I read them right, say you can't have two arrays within 6 hexes of each other, or else shenanigans.

    That is correct, just move past 6 hexes away from your first array before setting up the second one.

    But that totally negates the point of having the Wall of Earth to cover your casting. (Our last caster who stood there and ice ray'd a ship for two turns got turned into Swiss cheese)

    Not if you wait to set up the earth wall until after the second array is down.

    Brolaf died because we were focusing purely on offensive, didn't have time for defensive spells because there was a big ol' airship overhead. Victor died because he bungled his ice spell with double 10's and froze himself.

    Now that I think about it, both tasks could be accomplished through the use of a single array, of either Air, Earth, or Water(which makes Ice, I assume)

    I noticed the caster information says allies can set up arrays as well, I'm guessing you just hand one of your little array kit thingies to another squad, and tell them where to put it?
